THE WHO: The Night That Changed Rock - Documentary Marking 40 Years Since Tragedy That Killed 11 Before Cincinnati Concert To Air In December; Video Trailer

THE WHO: The Night That Changed Rock - Documentary Marking 40 Years Since Tragedy That Killed 11 Before Cincinnati Concert To Air In December; Video Trailer

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey sit down for their very first long-form television interview about what happened 40 years ago when 11 people died outside Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Who band members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey share their detailed personal accounts of what happened the night of December 3, 1979, when 11 young people were killed outside a coliseum before their concert started. In the WCPO documentary, The Who: The Night That Changed Rock, they talk about how this single event forever changed rock and the lives of so many people. While they didn’t know about the deaths until after the concert ended, they have lived with the pain of the losses for 40 years.

“You know, I’m still traumatized by it,” says Pete Townshend. “It’s a weird thing to have in your autobiography that, you know, 11 kids died at one of your concerts. It’s a strange, disturbing, heavy load to carry.”

“That dreadful night of the third of December became one of the worst dreams I’ve had in my life,” recounts Roger Daltrey.

The band’s long-time manager, Bill Curbishley, witnessed the deaths and made the call to let the band play. “Despite everything,” says Curbishley, “I still feel inadequate. I don’t know about the guys, but for me, I left a little bit of my soul in Cincinnati.”

Survivors of that night and family members of some of the victims also provide new and chilling accounts of the crowd crush responsible for the deaths. They share intimate details of their loved ones to mark 40 years since the event. The band members and Finneytown residents also reveal a special relationship between The Who and Finneytown High School, where three of the victims were students. The documentary shares how that relationship has turned a horrible night into something positive.

The documentary, created and hosted by Emmy award-winning anchor Tanya O’Rourke, tells the stories of those who died and those who survived and examines how it changed her small community. O’Rourke grew up in Finneytown, the small suburb of Cincinnati where three of the 11 who died also grew up. Along the way, she and the WCPO team discovered the long-term effect the tragedy had on concerts across the country as well as on the individuals who survived the incident and the family members of those who did not.

“December 3, 1979, didn’t just change some details at rock concerts. That night changed the lives of many in our region,” said Mike Canan, senior director of local content for WCPO. “This documentary is an unprecedented effort to tell the story of that one night and its impacts. I’m proud of our team’s work in commemorating those who were lost that night. I’m equally proud of Tanya and our team’s empathy for the victims and those who have dealt with loss and guilt from this incident for 40 years.”

This 60-minute documentary will air on December 3, the 40th anniversary of the tragedy, at 8 PM, Eastern Time on WCPO-TV and stream live on WCPO.com. The documentary and expanded interviews will also be available wherever you stream WCPO. A companion podcast will be available December 4.

DECARLO Featuring BOSTON's Tommy DECARLO Streaming New Song "There She Goes"

DECARLO Featuring BOSTON's Tommy DECARLO Streaming New Song "There She Goes"

Frontiers Music Srl recently announced the release of Decarlo’s debut album, entitled Lightning Strikes Twice, on January 24. Listen to the album track "There She Goes" below, and pre-order the album here.

The band Decarlo originated in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fronted by Tommy DeCarlo, best known for having performed with Boston since 2007, he co-founded the band with his son, guitarist Tommy DeCarlo Jr. As Tommy tells it, Tommy Jr. is truly the backbone of Decarlo. He has a great feel for what's going to work on stage, not just musically, but production wise, too and leads the charge in the band's performances. Of course no band is complete without a great supporting cast, which in Decarlo's case is provided by drummer Dan Hitz, bassist David Netta, and newest member Payton Velligan, who's a multi-talented keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist.

The band's debut album, Lightning Strikes Twice, is a very fine slice of melodic rock, deeply rooted in the sound of masters of the genre like Boston, Foreigner, Survivor, and REO Speedwagon.

"Without question, musically Tom Scholz has been my biggest influence. He along with Brad Delp created pure magic in the studio,” tells Tommy DeCarlo. "Brad with his amazing voice and Tom of course being one of the best songwriter/producers I've ever heard, touched not only me, but millions with their recordings. I could name quite a few other bands that influenced me as well, but none as much as the music of the band Boston!”

"We're very excited about the release of Lightning Strikes Twice!," continues Tommy. "As an artist/songwriter you're always going to be proud of your work, but there's nothing more gratifying than to please those who matter most...the fans! It's our hope that the music on this debut release will in some way/shape or form touch those who take the time to listen to it."

CATTLE DECAPITATION Presents "The Unerasable Past" Short Film By WES BENSCOTER

CATTLE DECAPITATION Presents "The Unerasable Past" Short Film By WES BENSCOTER

Cattle Decapitation presents: "The Unerasable Past", A Short Film by Wes Benscoter.

Shot during summer and fall 2019, this elaborate music video showcases the striking universe of Wes Benscoter's art in conjunction with the concepts brought into play by Cattle Decapitation in stunning 4K glory. The video is the culmination of a fruitful 18 year long relationship between the band and the world renown artist and is the first ever music video of his vastly expansive career, which includes having worked with such metal mainstays as Slayer, Kreator, Dio, Nile, Autopsy, Broken Hope, among many others. Having worked with him for so many years and being admirers of his 2009 award-winning short film, "Hold Your Fire", the band was honored to take this next step with him and seize this opportunity to give the world something special: an emotionally captivating short film by one of the top masters of timeless metal art.

Cattle Decapitation's vocalist and art director Travis Ryan had this to say about this first-of-its-kind event: "When Wes told me he would be down to do a music video for us, my jaw dropped. Having a music video that is completely married to the album artwork and color palette was something I had always wanted to do but never thought it could be a reality. As you can see from our lyrics, there's not a lot of hope floating around, so when he offered up his creative hands for a music video, we snapped to it, and along the way, it became a much more formidable force by taking the form of a short film. This worked perfectly, considering the last 12 minutes of the album not only make up two tracks that become one long emotional journey with enough monolithic peaks and valleys to rival the Andes of Argentina to the Rockies of Colorado, but the tracks themselves scream for such a treatment. The scope of the video matches the scope of the album 'Death Atlas', which is meant to be listened to from beginning to the end in its entirety as is the video. Wes Benscoter has proven that he is a master of art, incorporating various mediums into one disastrously beautiful extinction-level art film."

Wes Benscoter comments: "I've never had any real interest in doing a music video until we started planning the photos for the album layout and I thought man, this could be a great opportunity to make the kind of film I like. Grim, atmospheric, and topical. Created with a mix of old-school practical effects, some digital tricks and an insane amount of sand and fog. I used every trick in the book to try to do justice to Cattle's apocalyptic nightmare soundtrack."

Watch "The Unerasable Past" A Short Film by Wes Benscoter - featuring the Death Atlas album tracks "The Unerasable Past" and "Death Atlas", below:

Cattle Decapitation have never shied away from confronting the awfulness wrought upon the natural world by the human race, and Death Atlas is their bleakest offering to date. The cover art says it all: a stooped, skeletal Grim Reaper carrying the burnt-out husk of our planet on his back.

"The core concept of this record is humanity's insignificance despite what we've convinced ourselves," explains vocalist Travis Ryan. "That's kind of why this album cover takes place in space, to remind you that 'the universe always finds a way to purge'. In the grand scheme of things, our species is merely a fleeting thought."

This imagery is backed up with a ferocious soundtrack, which includes elements of death metal, grindcore, black metal, sludge, doom, drone - with Ryan's vocals broader and more fully realized than ever before.

Produced once again by Dave Otero (flatlineaudio.com), Death Atlas also features a number of guests: Laure Le Prunenec (Igorrr, Ricinn), Riccardo Conforti (Void of Silence), Dis Pater (Midnight Odyssey), Jon Fishman (Phish) - plus, brass instrumentalists from Ottone Pesante. The end result of these experimentations and collaborations is one of the most devastating records of 2019, and it demands an emotional response.

As the band prepares to tour and hopefully reach places they have yet play, what Ryan wants listeners to take away from Death Atlas is clear: "I want people to be shocked into thinking more about their futures, their loved ones, the pain they're potentially subjecting their future generations to. Everyone just seems to live in the now with no care for tomorrow, and that's incorrect thinking, as far as today goes. Don't make tomorrow a cancelled check."

SEVENDUST's CLINT LOWERY Releases Music Video For Title Track Of 'God Bless The Renegades' Solo Album

SEVENDUST's CLINT LOWERY Releases Music Video For Title Track Of 'God Bless The Renegades' Solo Album

SEVENDUST co-founder, guitarist and vocalist Clint Lowery will release his debut solo album, "God Bless The Renegades", on January 31, 2020 via Rise Records. The official Mark Lediard-directed music video for the disc's title track can be seen below.

The first single from the album, "Kings", arrived earlier in the month. At the time, Lowery said that the song expressed "redemption after a very dark chapter" of his life. "Through the chaos of addiction, navigating toxic relationships, and depression, I came out of it all empowered and more driven than ever," he said.

Lowery recorded the album with producer and co-writer Michael "Elvis" Baskette (SLASH, ALTER BRIDGE) at Studio Barbarosa in Florida. The drums on the disc were laid down by VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen.

"God Bless The Renegades" track listing:

01. God Bless The Renegades

02. Here

03. Kings

04. Alive

05. What's The Matter

06. You Go First

07. Allowed To Run

08. Silver Lining

09. She's Free

10. Do We Fear God

Lowery originally announced his plans to record a solo album in June 2018. He stated at the time: "In the past, I released a few things close to a solo release with HELLO DEMONS… MEET SKELETONS (mainly acoustic); CALL ME NO ONE, which I did with [SEVENDUST drummer] Morgan Rose. Both projects were truly amazing experiences and still want to entertain doing more CALL ME NO ONE and HELLO DEMONS… MEET SKELETONS in the future. But I've decided to release a project under my name that is gonna represent where I'm at musically right now. I feel the need to do this and stand on my own two feet and push myself to make some music that moves me. To express myself."

Earlier this year, Clint said that his debut solo disc would "have all of the elements of previous releases (HELLO DEMONS… MEET SKELETONS and CALL ME NO ONE) but also some new territory." He also revealed that the album would feature "some very cool contributions from some amazing musicians."

Back in February, Clint told Audio Ink Radio that he would sing and "play everything" he could on his solo album, "even a couple of songs on drums, but I'll have a drummer come in and do most of the drums. Everything else, I'll do myself," he said.

HELLO DEMONS… MEET SKELETONS released four EPs between 2009 and 2013.

CALL ME NO ONE issued its debut record, "Last Parade", in May 2012.

In addition to SEVENDUST and CALL ME NO ONE, Lowery has been a member of, written, recorded, or performed with DARK NEW DAY, KORN, RED, Tommy Lee's METHODS OF MAYHEM, SNOT, 10 YEARS and DIGITAL SUMMER, among others.

Listen To New OZZY OSBOURNE Single 'Straight To Hell' Featuring SLASH

Listen To New OZZY OSBOURNE Single 'Straight To Hell' Featuring SLASH

Ozzy Osbourne has released "Straight To Hell", the second single from his forthcoming album, "Ordinary Man", due out on Epic Records in early 2020.

On the full-on rocker "Straight To Hell", Ozzy takes listeners to the heart of darkness — "something is missing and you don't know why" — with GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash along for this devilish ride, delivering scorched-earth riffs.

Earlier this month, Ozzy released "Under The Graveyard", his first new solo music in almost 10 years, which has garnered more than 2.8 million global streams in its first week. Rolling Stone noted "doom and gloom is what makes an Ozzy song great, and it's what make this one a keeper," and NPR wrote, "It sounds like Ozzy and, remarkably, Ozzy's voice can still tear through your soul."

"This album was a gift from my higher power — it is proof to me that you should never give up," Ozzy said.

Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on bass and Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) on drums.

"It all started when Kelly [Osbourne] comes in and says, 'Do you want to work on a Post Malone song?'" Ozzy explained. "My first thing was, 'Who the fuck is Post Malone?!' I went to Andrew's [Watt] house and he said we will work really quick. After we finished that song, he said, 'Would you be interested in starting an album?' I said 'that would be fucking great, but now I am thinking I don't want to be working in a basement studio for six months! And in just a short time, we had the album done. Duff and Chad came in and we would go in and jam during the day and I would go work out the songs in the evenings. I previously had said to Sharon I should be doing an album, but in the back of my mind I was going 'I haven't got the fucking strength...' but Andrew pulled it out of me. I really hope people listen to it and enjoy it, because I put my heart and soul into this album."

Ozzy has not released an all-new solo effort since 2010's "Scream", having spent the last few years touring with BLACK SABBATH in support of that band's "13" LP, as well as playing a number of solo shows. More recently, Osbourne has been recuperating at home after sustaining a bad neck injury resulting in the postponement of his solo tour.

Last month, Ozzy once again postponed his European tour, marking the second time the BLACK SABBATH singer has done so following a series of health issues.

Ozzy initially scrapped his entire 2019 schedule earlier this year, as he recovered from surgery to repair an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The European leg of his "No More Tours 2" trek was then rescheduled for January through March 2020, with the North American dates set to follow in May 2020.

Osbourne's European tour will now take place in the fall of 2020.

Hear EVANESCENCE's Cover Of FLEETWOOD MAC's 'The Chain'

Hear EVANESCENCE's Cover Of FLEETWOOD MAC's 'The Chain'

EVANESCENCE's cover of FLEETWOOD MAC's "The Chain" has been released as a digital single. The track is featured in a commercial for "Gears Of War 5", the latest chapter of XBOX's popular "Gears Of War" franchise.

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee said: "We recorded a cover of FLEETWOOD MAC's 'The Chain' a couple months ago for the 'Gears 5' commercial. We loved the song so much that we decided to record a full-length version."

Lee previously said that she was "proud" to lend her voice to this "reimagining" of "The Chain" for "Gears Of War 5". "I was drawn to the story of Kait overcoming fear and standing up to fight," she explained. "Her story of breaking out with her own voice is most definitely one I relate to!"

EVANESCENCE is in the studio working on its next album, tentatively due in 2020.

The band spent much of the last two years recording and touring in support of 2017's "Synthesis", which contained some of its best-loved songs — as well as a couple of new ones — reinvented with full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape.

"Synthesis" sold 34,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release to land at position No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of that sum, 30,000 were in traditional album sales. EVANESCENCE's 2011 self-titled release debuted at No. 1. "Synthesis" was the group's fourth top 10 effort, following "Evanescence", "The Open Door" (No. 1 in 2006) and "Fallen" (No. 3, 2003).

Last year, Lee told the 93.3 WMMR Rocks! radio station that she wasn't opposed to the idea of releasing singles and EPs instead of full-length albums, especially as streaming services like Spotify continue to alter the way people consume music.

"I just think it's cool to be able to have this freedom to commit to less and do more," she said. "I'm totally open to doing a few songs instead of an album here and there, and see what happens."

MARILYN MANSON Releases Cover Version Of THE DOORS Classic 'The End'

MARILYN MANSON Releases Cover Version Of THE DOORS Classic 'The End'

Marilyn Manson has released his newest single, a cover of THE DOORS classic "The End". The song's accompanying visual was created by Zev Deans and can be seen below. The single artwork is an original watercolor painting by Manson.

Manson's version of "The End" was played over the PA system at the end of his performances during "The Twins Of Evil" tour this past summer. The collaboration with country rocker Shooter Jennings will be used in the Stephen King TV series "The Stand", which Manson will also be acting in.

Last month, Manson lent his signature gravel and intensity to a new version of "God's Gonna Cut You Down", the classic American folk song. Manson reunited with director Tim Mattia for the cinematic black-and-white video filmed in Joshua Tree, California.

"God's Gonna Cut You Down" was recorded with producer Tyler Bates, with whom the shock rocker collaborated on his last two records, 2015's "The Pale Emperor" and 2017's "Heaven Upside Down".

Manson and Jennings have been working on Marilyn's new studio album, tentatively due in early 2020. Manson's guitarist Paul Wiley will also appear on the disc, as will his new drummer, Brandon Pertzborn (of BLACK FLAG, DOYLE and HO99O9).

Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" for Jennings's "Countach (For Giorgio)" LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder.

Last night (Thursday, November 21), Ozzy Osbourne surprised a sold-out audience at the Forum in Los Angeles, when he joined Post Malone for the first-ever live rendition of their record-breaking collaboration "Take What You Want". This Sunday (November 24), Ozzy reconvenes with Post and Travis Scott at the American Music Awards for the first television performance of the song in what promises to be another unforgettable display.

"Take What You Want", which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 8, marked Osbourne's first Hot 100 top 10 in over 30 years, as the BLACK SABBATH singer broke the record for the most time between top 10s in the chart's 61-year history. The song appears on Post Malone's new LP "Hollywood's Bleeding", which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The 2019 American Music Awards, hosted by Ciara, will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Watt, who produced Ozzy's new studio album, connected with Osbourne after meeting Ozzy's daughter Kelly at a friend's party and pitching her on the idea of Post and Ozzy collaborating together.

In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy credited the Post Malone collaboration with getting him "off his arse." The singer, who was left in intensive care earlier this year after a fight with pneumonia, explained: "I'd never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song 'Take What You Want', so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone's producer Andrew Watt. It's only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.

"If it wasn't for making this record, I would still be on traction, thinking, 'I'm going to be lying here forever.' I've missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album, I thought I was dying. But that got me off my arse."

"Hollywood's Bleeding" is the follow-up to Post Malone's 2018 album "Beerbongs & Bentleys". That record topped the Billboard 200 albums chart in May of last year. The same month, streaming service Spotify said the LP had broken the first-week streaming record, with more than 236 million streams in the United States and more than 411 million worldwide.

Earlier this year, Malone (whose real name is Austin Post) earned four Grammy nominations, including album of the year for "Beerbongs & Bentleys".

He took home the top rap song trophy at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards for "Rockstar" alongside collaborator 21 Savage, as well as song of the year at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards for the same track.

TESLA's FRANK HANNON Releases New Solo Single, 'South Side'

TESLA's FRANK HANNON Releases New Solo Single, 'South Side'

TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon has released a new solo single, "South Side". The song is not only a tribute to his hometown hood of south Sacramento, California, but also a homage to the very first band of musicians that Frank played and learned music with as a 12-year-old kid in the 1970s.

The first verse of "South Side" mentions "me and Bobby hanging out in the park… drinking beers and playing guitars!" This is about the late Bobby Reed, who was Frank's best friend in seventh grade and who taught him how to play his first guitar leads. It also helped that Bobby was feared by the neighborhood thugs as he protected Frank when they hung out in the park.

The second verse talks of jamming in the garage with 11-year-old Johnny and playing their very first gig at the Moose Lodge, which had included Frank's cousin Mike playing bass guitar. The young band didn't even have a name yet, but the guys were sometimes called THE CRUISIN' COUSINS. Recently reunited with John Barry after 40 years, the song has become a trip down memory lane.

In addition to singing vocals and playing guitars on "South Side", Frank Hannon also produced the track. Drums were played by Kelly Smith.

"South Side" is currently available for download and stream across your favorite music platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.

Catch Hannon's solo show at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California on January 24, 2020.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's MICK MARS, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's IVAN MOODY Featured In CORY MARKS's 'Outlaws & Outsiders' Video

MÖTLEY CRÜE's MICK MARS, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's IVAN MOODY Featured In CORY MARKS's 'Outlaws & Outsiders' Video

"Outlaws & Outsiders" (featuring Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody and Mick Mars), the debut track from Better Noise Music Nashville's flagship artist Cory Marks mixes the passion and honesty of country music with the explosive energy of rock and roll. The track boasts guest appearances from country icon Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and Mick Mars from MÖTLEY CRÜE. "Outlaws & Outsiders" embodies the similarities between country and rock music and their fans.

"'Outlaws & Outsiders' is a song for anyone who's ever felt different, or like an outsider period," Cory explains. "You can be an outlaw in many different ways and as an artist, for me it's simply creating something different, something unique and out of the box. It is doing my own thing and telling my own story." Helping him tell his story are Tritt, Moody — who is no stranger to rock/country collaborations with his band's No. 1 hit at U.S. and Canadian alt radio "Blue On Black" (featuring Kenny Wayne Shepard, Brantley Gilbert and Brian May) and Mars.

"Growing up on country and rock music — being inspired by songs like THE ROLLING STONES' 'Honky Tonk Woman', bands like DEEP PURPLE and the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, the original outlaws and outsiders Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings shaped my musical style. It's a true honor to be working with the country music outlaw of my generation, the great Travis Tritt," explains Cory. "He is such a down-to-earth guy and a great pleasure to work with. He's the real deal and I'm very thankful to be working with him." The session was Tritt's first recording in 14 years. "I was flattered to be asked to contribute my vocals to the Cory Marks single 'Outlaws And Outsiders'. I'm excited to see what the future holds for this talented young artist," Tritt explains.

Marks recorded with award-winning producer Kevin Churko. The two worked together in Churko's Las Vegas studio, capturing the energy and electricity of Cory's live show. It was a natural partnership. Like Cory, Kevin had grown up playing drums, eventually expanding his career to include collaborations with country artists like Shania Twain and rock icons like Ozzy Osbourne. "We both appreciate country music greats like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, but we love the heavier side of rock and roll and metal, too," Cory says of his producer and mentor. "We decided to mash it all together. It's funny, because when I was growing up, my favorite records were Ozzy records. I dreamt of having that kind of production on one of my own records. Sure enough, seven years into my career, I've partnered with the producer who worked on all those albums. What a cool circle."

Full of autobiographical storytelling, guitar-driven anthems, drinking songs, and breakup ballads, Cory Marks's songs are rooted in the influence of his hometown, where he grew up surrounded by the salt-of-the-earth residents of North Bay, Ontario. It was there where he began playing drums at ten years old. Whenever he wasn't banging along to songs by DEEP PURPLE, Ozzy Osbourne and RUSH, he was listening to his parents' country records, developing a deep appreciation for outlaws like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. Those two genres — classic country and amped-up rock — would eventually join forces in Marks's own music, earning him a string of gigs with heavyweights like Toby Keith and Brantley Gilbert along the way.

Marks will hit the road with beloved Canadian country star Gord Bamford. Bamford has 26 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) awards, multiple Juno nominations and two Country Music Association (CMA) Global Country Artist awards. The artists will be touring together throughout Canada on #REDNEK Music Fest from spring to summer 2020.

THE BLACK CROWES Play Second Reunion Concert In Los Angeles: Video, Setlist

THE BLACK CROWES Play Second Reunion Concert In Los Angeles: Video, Setlist

THE BLACK CROWES played their second reunion show last night (Thursday, November 14) at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. The concert took place three days after brothers Chris and Rich Robinson announced a 46-date 2020 tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of THE BLACK CROWES' classic debut album, 1990's "Shake Your Money Maker".

Joining Chris and Rich in the new BLACK CROWES lineup are EARTHLESS guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, former TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND bassist Tim Lefebvre along with ONCE AND FUTURE BAND members Joel Robinow on keyboards and Raj Ojha on drums.

As was the case at Monday's show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, the Troubadour concert saw THE BLACK CROWES perform only the songs from the band's debut, along with the encore cover version of THE ROLLING STONES' "It's Only Rock 'N Roll (But I Like It)".

The setlist was as follows:

01. Twice As Hard

02. Jealous Again

03. Sister Luck

04. Could I've Been So Blind

05. Seeing Things

06. Hard To Handle

07. Thick N' Thin

08. She Talks To Angels

09. Struttin' Blues

10. Stare It Cold

11. It's Only Rock 'N Roll (But I Like It)

Regarding the decision to enlist all-new members for THE BLACK CROWES' reunion, Chris told Rolling Stone: "That was the first thing Rich and I agreed on. We don't want anyone from the solo groups. We don't want anyone from the past." Rich added: "In order to make this work. To give Chris and I the space to…" Chris interjected: "Be here right now."

THE BLACK CROWES' upcoming tour will mark Chris and Rich's first shows together since 2013. The group will perform its multi-platinum 1990 debut album in its entirety, along with a smattering of other hits and favorites.

The official tour kicks off properly on June 17 at Austin's Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin wraps on September 19 at the Forum in L.A.

Chris told Rolling Stone the new tour will hearken back to THE BLACK CROWES' original style, explaining: "I think this is pure. We went off into a lot of things. There's no jamming. There's no extraneous stuff. This is the purest BLACK CROWES that people first [heard]. I hope we reconnect with some people who lost their way with us because of all of our other shit we were doing."

Rich spoke frankly about the obvious family politics in reuniting with his older brother, saying "No one is here to be a dick. We love this music. We're musicians. We're brothers. We love each other. We love this opportunity. Changing the context with Chris and I and all new people is a much healthier place for us."

CHRIS JERICHO Releases Cover Of THE KINKS' 'Father Christmas'

CHRIS JERICHO Releases Cover Of THE KINKS' 'Father Christmas'

CHRIS JERICHO & THE CHRISTMAS HELVES, led by FOZZY frontman and former WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho, have released their cover of THE KINKS' 1977 song "Father Christmas". The track was reportedly written about a department store "Father Christmas" — what Santa Claus is known as in the U.K. — who is attacked by a gang of kids who tell him to give them money instead of toys.

Jericho's version of "Father Christmas" debuted on SiriusXM Octane last week and is now available on all the major streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal and Deezer. You can also download the song at iTunes and Google Play. All proceeds are going to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Said Chris: "I've always wanted to do a Christmas song, as it's guaranteed annual airplay (and if I hear 'Wonderful Christmas Time' one more time, I'm gonna stuff myself down a chimney), so I put together the musical assassins known as 'The Christmas Helves' and banged out this sugarplum version of my favorite KINKS tune! Best part is all proceeds will be donated to JDRF to fight Juvenile Diabetes! So, grab your eggnog and frankincense...whatever the hell that is...and rock out with your Santa sack out!"

Acclaimed actor, wrestler, musician, author, podcaster, game show host and television personality, Jericho has established himself as a multi-faceted performer with millions of fans worldwide. Jericho is one of the most popular performers in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment. In 2001 he was crowned the WWE Undisputed Champion and in 2017 become the first ever "Double Grand Slam" champion in WWE history. He has been named one of the top five most charismatic performers of all-time by WWE.com. In January 2019, he officially signed with All Elite Wrestling — a brand new pro wrestling company started by the owners of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, Tony and Shahid Khan.

Jericho hosts the hugely popular "Talk Is Jericho" podcast on Westwood One, that has amassed over 220 million downloads. Topics are diverse and past guests include Dennis Miller, Larry King, William Shatner, Steve Austin, DMC, Paul Stanley, Lars Ulrich, Kiefer Sutherland, Maria Menounos, Mike Tyson, Cheech Marin and Slash. ...AND OCEANS Finish Recording New Album; Studio Report Video Streaming

...AND OCEANS Finish Recording New Album; Studio Report Video Streaming

Finnish symphonic metal masters, ...And Oceans, have finished the recordings for their upcoming studio album. The band recently re-signed to Season Of Mist and will release their new full length in the spring of 2020, after 18 years of silence. The Finns also published a studio report, which can be viewed below.

...And Oceans singer Mathias Lillmåns comments: "We are stoked to tell you that after 18 years of silence we have finished the recording, mix and master of the 5th full-length ...And Oceans album.

"The album was recorded in four different locations. Drums and bass at our rehearsal place with gear from Juho Räihä's mobile SoundSpiral Audio studio. Vocals were engineered by Räihä himself at SoundSpiral Audio's main location outside Kouvola. Our keyboard player Antti decided he would do all his parts in his mancave of a studio by himself. The guitars, the mix itself and finally the master were done at Wolfthrone Studios by Owe Inborr.

"We have to admit that it was quite a puzzle to get this production pieced together, but after all tracks delivered to Wolfthrone everything started to fall into place. We are truly satisfied with the results and this is going to be a mammoth of an album to watch out for.

"...And Oceans is back! With a vengeance."

Lineup:

Timo Kontio - Guitar
Mathias Lillmåns - Vocals
Teemu Saari - Guitar
Antti Simonen - Keys
Kauko Kuusisalo - Drums

TALES OF THE TOMB Release Japanese Horror Film-Inspired Lyric Video For "Mermaid In A Manhole"

TALES OF THE TOMB Release Japanese Horror Film-Inspired Lyric Video For "Mermaid In A Manhole"

Painting their canvas of extreme music with inspirations of real-life stories of murder, conspiracy, supernatural horror, and terror, Edmonton's Tales Of The Tomb unleashed their new EP Volume Two: Mendicium this past September.

The EP is a vicious bite of grinding blast beats, technical shredding accompanied by venomous guttural lows. Inspired by true events, the duo offer up gore-filled lyrics with a quivering soundscape. The EP was mixed and mastered by Cryptopsy guitarist and head engineer/owner at The Grid Studios Christian Donaldson along with featuring artwork by Tony Midi of Tonymidi Artworks.

The EP also contains a bonus track about the Japanese horror film Mermaid In A Manhole, which the band have put together a new lyric video for.

The band explains the story behind the bonus track in further detail: "'Mermaid In A Manhole' is the only song we have written that is truly-fictional. Based on a Japanese horror film Mermaid In A Manhole. The song focuses on a painter that is suffering from depression, who disembowels his wife while in a psychotic state. The story of the song 'Mermaid In A Manhole' does not really fit into our conspiracy theme we have for this EP. This is why we decided to list it as a bonus track to give it a proper release and the band had no plans to write more true-fiction based songs. Sonically we tried to recreate the psychosis the painter was going through, we wanted to represent the chaos that must have been going on in the painter's mind to have brought himself to murder his wife. There is a sample at the end of the song, which has the sound of chopping and a man speaking in Japanese. This is audio taken right from the movie at the part where the painter is sitting on the ground covered in blood chopping up the remains of his mermaid saying, “My Mermaid, My Mermaid is dead."

Volume Two: Mendicium EP details follow...

TEMPERANCE Release "My Demons Can't Sleep" Single And Music Video

TEMPERANCE Release "My Demons Can't Sleep" Single And Music Video

Italian symphonic metal five-piece, Temperance, have just released their heartfelt new song, “My Demons Can’t Sleep”, off of their upcoming album, Viridian, out on January 24 via Napalm Records. The new single is about the demons that everyone harbours inside of them: all of the inner troubles, issues, fears, rage and daily struggles that are often hidden away from the world. “My Demons Can’t Sleep” paints a picture of those feelings in a beautiful way and symbolizes a beacon of hope in the darkness of those frenzied thoughts.

Temperance’s journey through the depths of the subconscious was filmed in the somber 14th century Castle of Verrès. A young woman enters the castle and roams around the hallways, seeming to be trapped within the walls of the castle - equally imprisoned by her insurmountable demons. When the lyrical modification in the chorus hits, she takes her first steps outside and walks towards a white horse, a symbol of freedom and self-empowerment. Track lyricist Michele Guaitoli states that this scene portrays the moment where the protagonist realizes that they are the ruler of their own life. During the change throughout the song, they realize that their past faults or mistakes, even fears, are meant to be there to help them grow. Facing all of that instead of running away is the only solution to becoming stronger.

Marco Pastorino, singer and guitarist, comments: "You asked for the classic Temperance sound... so here we go! 'My Demons Can't Sleep' is probably the first song we wrote for Viridian; a very catchy track with a great guitar riff and also a nice interaction between our three voices. Definitely one of the most melodic tracks of the album, it will surely be an anthem for our live shows! The lyrics were written by Michele and it's one of my favorites in the album. He talks about our daily troubles and fears, but in the end, with our inner strength, we can change everything."

SABATON Collaborates With APOCALYPTICA On New Version Of 'Angels Calling'

SABATON Collaborates With APOCALYPTICA On New Version Of 'Angels Calling'

Swedish metallers SABATON have collaborated with the Finnish cello rock band APOCALYPTICA on a new single, a reworked version of the SABATON song "Angels Calling". The track will give their fans a good taste of what to expect on the two bands' joint European tour.

Anyone who attends the upcoming concerts will experience a truly unique live show since SABATON will be reinforced by APOCALYPTICA on stage for several newly arranged songs, including "Angels Calling".

Said SABATON bassist Pär Sundström: "'Angels Calling' was the first song we wrote on the topic of World War 1 for the 'Attero Dominatus' album back in 2006, and together with APOCALYPTICA, we have really given the song a new life. Due to the song's topic, our recent album, the upcoming tour and a great demand from fans, the song is now back on the setlist for the tour.

"The song's arrangement was made in August, when APOCALYPTICA visited our hometown Falun to perform at the Sabaton Open Air festival. It was recorded in Black Lounge studios by Jonas Kjellgren and the APOCALYPTICA parts were later recorded in Finland.

"Richard Erixon, our longtime video producer, captured the best moments from the rehearsals in Falun and edited it into a music video for the song.

"We wanted this tour to offer something that we have never done before, and when I attended an APOCALYPTICA show in Madrid a few years ago I already had a strong vision to perform together, so I explained the idea to APOCALYPTICA and here we are, with the best show we have ever done."

"Angels Calling" is exclusively released on YouTube and will be available on all major platforms on January 17.

Several shows of the upcoming European tour are already sold out and for the premiere in Helsinki this Saturday, there are only a very few tickets left.

DEATH ANGEL Releases Music Video For 'Immortal Behated'

DEATH ANGEL Releases Music Video For 'Immortal Behated'

San Francisco Bay Area metal veterans DEATH ANGEL have released the official music video for the song "Immortal Behated". The track is taken from the band's ninth full-length album, "Humanicide", which was released in May via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented singer Mark Osegueda: "'Immortal Behated' is the second video from our latest release, 'Humanicide'. The song is basically about one's coming to terms and finally having to confront and face one's enemy/monkey on one's back... And sometimes unfortunately for many that enemy/monkey on one's back tends to be one's self..."

Added guitarist Rob Cavestany: "We are stoked to share our new video for 'Immortal Behated' with you all. One of my personal faves from our latest album, 'Humanicide', I'm so proud to see it come to visual life on screen. Our team worked very hard to make it happen, I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Hope to see you from the stage as we perform 'Immortal Behated' live on our tour!"

With "Humanicide", DEATH ANGEL has maintained its throne in the universe of thrash while still managing to remain progressive in their style. They apply a wide variety of different elements to their music, always pushing to add newness to their sound. This time around they've included everything from acoustic bits to guest musicians to even (for the first time) the notes of a piano. All 10 songs flow seamlessly yet each leaves its own distinct impression.

For the fourth album cycle in a row, DEATH ANGEL returned to producer and friend Jason Suecof (DEICIDE, TRIVIUM) of Audiohammer studios for the recording and mixing, along with the mastering of the legendary Ted Jensen (SLIPKNOT, PANTERA) of Sterling Sound, who added the final touches and brought it all to life, with artist Brent Elliott White (LAMB OF GOD, MEGADETH) providing the ominous cover artwork.

STEEL PANTHER Releases NSFW Music Video For 'Gods Of P***y'

STEEL PANTHER Releases NSFW Music Video For 'Gods Of P***y'

"Gods Of Pussy", the new music video from California glam metal jokesters STEEL PANTHER, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's fifth studio album, "Heavy Metal Rules", which was released on September 27. The disc, which is described in a press release as a "heavy metal version of a self-help manual and ultimate party album combined," was once again produced by Jay Ruston, who collaborated with the band on all of its previous recordings, including its latest LP, 2017's "Lower The Bar".

Lyrically, "Gods Of Pussy" is a life manifesto as only vocalist Michael Starr, guitarist Satchel, bassist Lexxi Foxx and drummer Stix Zadinia can unleash upon the world.

STEEL PANTHER explains: "KISS wrote 'God Of Thunder', DEF LEPPARD wrote 'Gods Of War' and we wanted to get in to the 'God' business too. This is an autobiographical description of a day in the life of STEEL PANTHER. So, when you're feeling a little unsexy and you need to get your mojo flowing and turn up the heat, play this song at 10 and you too can become a God of Pussy."

From the opening track "Zebraman" (which is audio taken from the classic film "Heavy Metal Parking Lot") to the emotional album closer "I Ain't Buying What You’re Selling", STEEL PANTHER has created 36 minutes of audio eargasms. Songs like "Let's Get High Tonight", "Fuck Everybody" and "Gods Of Pussy" are destined to become natural additions to the band's setlist. "I'm Not Your Bitch" is an anthem for all acknowledged genders and sexual orientations worldwide.

"Heavy Metal Rules" track listing:

01. Zebraman

02. All I Wanna Do Is Fuck (Myself Tonight)

03. Let's Get High Tonight

04. Always Gonna Be A Ho

05. I'm Not Your Bitch

06. Fuck Everybody

07. Heavy Metal Rules

08. Sneaky Little Bitch

09. Gods Of Pussy

10. I Ain't Buying What You're Selling

Starr recently stated about STEEL PANTHER's new LP: "You are gonna love this new group of songs. We have worked extremely hard and it's paid off. Be prepared to have your nuts fucking rocked off. Ladies, get a towel, 'cause your tits are gonna explode and it's gonna get messy. The future is bright!"

Zadinia said that he was more excited about STEEL PANTHER's new album than he has ever been about any of the group's previous releases. "The riffs are fucking gnarly, dude — gnarly," he said.

STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme.

The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."

Eleven years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.

BLACK STONE CHERRY To Enter Studio This Winter

BLACK STONE CHERRY To Enter Studio This Winter

Guitarist Ben Wells of Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY has confirmed to MisplacedStraws.com that the band is preparing to begin work on the follow-up to last year's "Family Tree" LP. "We've gotta do a new album, so we'll be in the studio wintertime and then probably get back on the road in spring," he said. "We've hit this album cycle really hard. We've done Europe four times on it, we've been all over the U. S. and everywhere and got to go to Japan and Hawaii for the first time. It's been great, but it's time to slow it down for a minute and crank out another album."

Asked if the members of BLACK STONE CHERRY write on the road or wait until they get home to get creative, Wells said: "It's a combo of both. We do write on the road. We were writing a couple of nights ago up here in the front lounge of the bus. But you never wanna force it; that's the worst. So if we hit a creative stride or get inspired, then yeah, we write on the road. And then we also can write on the spot as well."

According to Wells, all four members of BLACK STONE CHERRY are involved in the songwriting process. "It's a free-for-all," he said. "We do everything equally, so if somebody's got a melody or a riff or an idea, we just take it. Nobody really says, 'Well, this is my job to do this and this.' We're all in it together."

Earlier this month, BLACK STONE CHERRY canceled its previously announced Australian tour with HALESTORM due to a "family emergency." The trek was scheduled to kick off on December 6 in Sydney and conclude on December 10 in Melbourne.

BLACK STONE CHERRY's second tribute to its blues heroes, "Black To Blues Volume 2", was released on November 1 via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

The first installment of the series, "Black To Blues", was released in October 2017 and crashed straight into No. 1 in the Billboard Blues chart and reached the top 30 U.K. album chart with a wave of praise from both the press and fans.

CHILDREN OF BODOM - Pro-Shot Video Of "In Your Face" Live At Bloodstock 2019 Posted

CHILDREN OF BODOM - Pro-Shot Video Of "In Your Face" Live At Bloodstock 2019 Posted

Pro-shot video of Children Of Bodom performing "In Your Face" at Bloodstock 2019 on August 9th at Catton Hall Park in Walton upon Trent, England can be viewed below.

Children Of Bodom will be playing their final show with the current lineup this coming December. "A Chapter Called Children Of Bodom" will take place at the Black Box in Helsinki, Finland at Ice Hall on December 15th. Below is a statement from the band:

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce that 2019 will be the last for Children Of Bodom with this lineup.

After almost 25 years with Bodom, thousands of shows & 10 albums it is time for Henkka (T. Blacksmith - bass), Janne (Wirman - keyboards) and Jaska (Raatikainen - drums) to step back and change direction within their lives. All three will miss the fans and supporters in every city in every country the band ever played.

The last show of this lineup will be on December 15th at Helsinki Ice Hall. Tickets still remain for some of the Finnish shows in December.

Alexi (Laiho - vocals, lead guitar) and Daniel (Freyberg - rhythm guitar) will have further announcements about their plans to keep creating new music in the future.

Thanks again for everything - Children Of Bodom"

Since this announcement, it has come to light that the Children Of Bodom name belongs to AA & Sewira Consulting Oy, the company owned by Raatikainen, Seppälä and Wirman. On June 28th, the trio filed an application with the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland, and their application was subsequently granted for a five-year period starting on October 1st. This means that although Laiho intends to continue to move forward, the new outfit can't use the Children Of Bodom moniker without the permission of Wirman, Raatikainen and Seppälä.

Speaking with Finland's Soundi and Helsingin Sanomat, Laiho revealed things within the band have been tense for quite some time, and that Wirman, Raatikainen and Seppälä made the decision to leave last year. Things were pushed towards the final decision to call it quits in December during the band's recent Russian tour.

Laiho: "We fought a lot within the band, and I can honestly admit that those fights were mainly my fault. They always started with some misunderstanding. I have no bad feelings towards any of them."

On moving forward, Laiho says the band name may need to be altered slightly: "Maybe it could be just Bodom or the name of one of our songs, but it must be a name that suggests that it's the same band."

Laiho and Freyberg have, according to Helsingin Sanomat, already found a new bassist and a new drummer. If all goes as planned they will start performing live next spring.

Laiho: "Of course, there's a bit of sadness since we've been a band for a really long time. We've had more good times than bad times. On the other hand, I also feel relieved. I'm pretty fucking excited that I get to play with the new guys. The thrill of playing with a new line-up seems to quell the sadness."

Upcoming Children Of Bodom shows:

6 - Oulu, Finland - Teatria
7 - Tornio, Finalnd - Teatria
