AC/DC Producer GEORGE YOUNG, Brother Of MALCOLM And ANGUS YOUNG, Dead At 70George Young, the eldest brother of AC/DC co-founders Malcolm and Angus Young, has died at the age of 70.
A former member of THE EASYBEATS, George co-produced AC/DC's early albums, including "TNT", "Dirty Deeds Done Cheap" and "Let There Be Rock". He started his own production company when THE EASYBEATS split in 1970 and was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 1988 and again as a member of THE EASYBEATS in 2005. He returned to co-produce AC/DC's 1988 album "Blow Up Your Video" and 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip".
AC/DC said in a statement the band would not exist without Young's "help and guidance".
"As a musician, songwriter, producer, advisor and much, much more, you could not ask for a more dedicated and professional man," the statement read.
"You could not ask for a finer brother. We will always remember him with gratitude and hold him close to our hearts."
Albert Music, the publishing company that handled both THE EASYBEATS and AC/DC, mourned Young's death. "It is with great sadness that Alberts acknowledge the passing of George Young," Albert CEO David Albert wrote in a statement. "A consummate songwriter, trailblazing producer, artist, mentor and extraordinary musician, George was above all else a gentleman who was unfailingly modest, charming, intelligent and loyal — a man with a wonderful sense of humor. George was a pioneer who, with close friends Harry Vanda and [company namesake] Ted Albert, created a new sound for the Australian music industry."
Australian singer Jimmy Barnes also paid tribute to George Young, tweeting: "George Young RIP What a huge loss for music. A great songwriter, producer and a great human being."

BREAKING BENJAMIN Announces New Album TitleBREAKING BENJAMIN has set "Ember" as the title of its sixth studio album.
Frontman Ben Burnley revealed the name of the follow-up to 2015's "Dark Before Dawn" during an interview with KFMA TV at yesterday's (Saturday, October 21) KFMA Fall Ball in Tucson, Arizona.
Burnley joked (see video below): "We were gonna call it 'Ascend' but spell it 'Ass-End', but the label was, like, 'Hmm…'"
A release date for "Ember" has not yet been announced.
"Dark Before Dawn" ended a six-year gap between albums for the group and marked the recording debut of the band's current lineup, of which Burnley remains the sole original member. "Dark Before Dawn" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart upon release, another first for the act.
The album went gold in the U.S. for sales of more than five hundred thousand copies and yielded the chart-topping singles "Failure", "Angels Fall" and "Never Again".
Burnley told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that consistency has been the key to BREAKING BENJAMIN's success. "I don't want to reinvent the wheel," he said. "I just want to write good music that's gonna stand the test of time and I try to do that. Whether I accomplished that is another thing, but at least I try to do that. And I think fans are noticing that the band hasn't changed just because I'm the main songwriter, I always have been, and my process — it's not gonna change. All I'm gonna try to do is just write really, really good songs and bring the BREAKING BENJAMIN sound to another level."
BREAKING BENJAMIN last month kicked off a fall 2017 U.S. acoustic tour. The trek will conclude on November 4 in Cleveland, Ohio. 1

Former MARILYN MANSON Guitarist DAISY BERKOWITZ Dies After Four-Year Battle With Colon CancerMARILYN MANSON co-founder and original guitarist Scott Putesky, a.k.a. Daisy Berkowitz, has passed away after a long battle with stage-four colon cancer.
The 49-year-old musician found out he had cancer when he underwent a colonoscopy in August 2013 after nearly six years of mysterious abdomen pains, some of which were severe enough to land him in the emergency room.
Putesky performed on MARILYN MANSON's "Portrait of An American Family" and "Smells Like Children" albums before leaving the group in 1996 over creative differences during the writing sessions for what became the "Antichrist Superstar" LP. Putesky went on to join JACK OFF JILL, GODHEAD and later launched his own band called THREE TON GATE.
In a 2014 interview with Noisey, Putesky stated about his exit from MARILYN MANSON: "I left because I wasn't getting the respect and appreciation and work I deserved. I did a lot of demos more or less a year before we started recording. When we started recording, I had about ten or a dozen demos for Brian [Warner, Marilyn Manson's real name] to listen to so we could develop something. I don't know if he listened to any of them, but he never wanted to work on any of them. We had a number of unreleased songs that were contenders for 'Antichrist' that Brian didn't want to do or ['Antichrist Superstar' producer] Trent [Reznor] didn't want to record, so I was being slowly muscled out as far as my contribution. And, that's pretty much it."
During the same chat, Putesky said that fighting cancer didn't really change his perspective on life and music. "It's become a huge annoyance," he said. "It really gets in the way. It doesn't get in the way with the kind of work I do, but the amount of work I do. When I started chemotherapy in September 2013, I thought I would have down time where I could relax and work on music or artwork. But, I quickly realized that downtime would mean extreme fatigue where I didn't really feel like doing anything. The most I could do was catch up on movies. I didn't realize how much it would take out of me. I have lots of plans that have just gone to the bottom of the things-to-do list."
In 2004, Marilyn Manson settled a lawsuit against Putesky and Empire Musicwerks Records over the distribution of an album and DVD of material from Manson's early band THE SPOOKY KIDS. In the suit, Manson alleged that the album and DVD made unauthorized use of illustrations from Manson's book "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell" and the musicians' likenesses. The suit also alleged that the purported infringements constituted a breach of an October 1998 settlement agreement related to Putesky's exit from the band. In June 2004, Empire Musicwerks announced that it would remove all artwork with Manson's likeness from the album and DVD.
JACK OFF JILL mourned Putesky's passing on Sunday (October 22), writing on Facebook: "Saying good bye to Scott, friend, band mate, artist, hero...RIP Scott – 'always touched by your presence dear.'"

Watch W.A.S.P. Perform In DublinFan-filmed video footage of W.A.S.P.'s October 19 performance at The Academy in Dublin, Ireland can be seen below.
Brazilian drummer Aquiles Priester made his live debut with W.A.S.P. at the opening show of the band's "Re-Idolized - The Crimson Idol 25th Anniversary World Tour" on September 25 at Trädgår'n in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Aquiles said in a statement: "I'm very happy to announce that I will be touring Europe this fall with W.A.S.P. It's a huge honor to be part of the 'Re-Idolized' tour. 'The Crimson Idol' is one of the most important progressive concept albums in the history of heavy metal music. I would also like to extend my gratitude to W.A.S.P.: Blackie [Lawless, guitar/vocals], Mike [Duda, bass] and Doug [Blair, guitar]. Thank you, for having me aboard on this tour. I've learned a lot from all three of you."
For a list of upcoming W.A.S.P. shows, visit WASPnation.com.
Born in South Africa, Priester has collaborated with such bands and solo artists as ANGRA, HANGAR, MIDAS FATE, PRIMAL FEAR, Paul Di'Anno (ex-IRON MAIDEN), Tony MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore. He is also known for having participated in the widely talked-about DREAM THEATER drummer audition which took place after Mike Portnoy had left the band. It was after that event that DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci recommended Priester to another great guitar virtuoso, Tony MacAlpine.
Priester has released three educational publications: the book "Inside My PsychoBook: 100 Double Bass Patterns" (2011) as well as two DVDs, titled "The Infallible Reason Of My Freak Drumming" (2010) and "Top 100 Drum Fills" (2013).
Drummer Mike Dupke left W.A.S.P. in 2015 after a nine-year stint with the band. He was initially replaced on the road by YNGWIE MALMSTEEN drummer Patrick Johansson and, later, by Randy Black (PRIMAL FEAR).
Napalm Records will release "Re-Idolized", the twenty-fifth-anniversary version of W.A.S.P.'s iconic hit album plus the original "The Crimson Idol" movie on DVD and Blu-ray.
"Re-Idolized" will be made available on Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and vinyl in early 2018. 3

Former CELTIC FROST Bassist MARTIN ERIC AIN Dead At 50Former CELTIC FROST bassist Martin Eric Ain died yesterday (Saturday, October 21) after suffering a heart attack at the age of 50. No further details have been revealed.
Commented CELTIC FROST leader Thomas Gabriel Fischer: "I am deeply affected by [Martin's] passing. Our relationship was very complex and definitely not free of conflicts, but Martin's life and mine were very closely intertwined, since we first met in 1982."
Norwegian bassist King Ov Hell (real name Tom Cato Visnes; GORGOROTH, GOD SEED, AUDREY HORNE) also commented on Ain's death. He said: "I just learned that my dear friend Martin Ain passed away at age 50. His work with CELTIC FROST and HELLHAMMER has been a huge inspiration for me and thousands of others. Rest in peace, my friend!"
Born Martin Stricker, Martin Eric Ain became an entrepreneur owned a DVD shop and bar in Zurich, called Acapulco. He was also a co-owner of the music club Mascotte, which became well known for hosting up-and-coming international bands. Since 2004, he had been the host of the "Karaoke From Hell" show, taking place every Tuesday night at Mascotte.
Ain handled lead vocals on the song "A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh" on CELTIC FROST's final album, "Monotheist".
In a 2006 interview with Metal Rules, Ain said that, unlike Fischer, he preferred to keep a low profile when he wasn't performing with CELTIC FROST. "I'm exhibitionist enough already with the interviews and on stage," he explained. "I like to let the music speak for itself and the stage performances speak for themselves. I already think Tom does that, Tom does that communication. That's his space, his way of communicating, his views, his beliefs. Some of them are mine. I differ. Not my style."
CELTIC FROST reformed in 2001 and released its comeback album "Monotheist" via Century Media/Prowling Death in 2006. The band broke up in 2008, with Fischer going on to form TRIPTYKON.

Video: GREAT WHITE Performs In OsloFan-filmed video footage of GREAT WHITE's October 18 performance at Hard Rock Cafe in Oslo, Norway can be seen below.
GREAT WHITE is touring in support of its latest album, "Full Circle", which was released on June 2. The effort sees the band re-teaming with its original producer, Michael Wagener. It's an honorable nod to their first EP, "Out Of The Night" (Aegean Records, 1983) and debut self-titled full-length record (EMI, 1984). Wagener, is, of course, the legendary producer behind ALICE COOPER, MEGADETH, METALLICA, OZZY OSBOURNE and a slew of other rock gods.
"Full Circle" was recorded in January and February 2017 at Wagener's Nashville-based WireWorld Studio. The album's packaging includes a must-have companion DVD called "Making Of Full Circle". Rockslide Entertainment (produced by Todd Sadowski) captured the band developing the songs in the studio — a never-before-seen band access.
Much like 2012's "Elation" (Frontiers) the core songwriting team of Mark Kendall, Michael Lardie and Terry Ilous worked heavily alongside Audie Desbrow and Scott Snyder.
In total, the ten songs on "Full Circle" range from the gut-punching "Give It Up" to the bass-heavy "Cry Of A Nation", the easily embraced, more acoustic "Let Me In" to the dynamic "This Is The Life".
This version of GREAT WHITE is not to be confused with JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE, which features original GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell alongside Robby Lochner (FIGHT) on guitar, Dan McNay on bass, Tony Montana on guitar and Dicki Fliszar on drums.
GREAT WHITE guitarist Mark Kendall told the "Music Mania" podcast about Terry Ilous (also of XYZ): "He's a blues-rock singer. He's like Ian Gillan meets Paul Rodgers meets Glenn Hughes or something, and a little bit of Steve Marriott. So when he was filling in, I kind of fell in love with that right away, 'cause that's kind of the school I come from. So I know his strengths, and that is in the power region of his voice."
He added: "We didn't really want a [Jack Russell] clone. We wanted the Mach II — kind of like the way DEEP PURPLE brought in [David] Coverdale and Glenn Hughes, and they made one of the best albums of their career, apart from that first 'Machine Head' record; I mean, nothing's gonna beat that. But I really felt 'Burn' was a super-strong record and the songs were just amazing. So the more play with Terry, the more we write, it just keeps getting better. And I'm looking forward to doing the next one. I think we could keep beating the last one, you know what I mean?"

DECAPITATED Singer, Bassist Appear In Spokane Court On Rape And Kidnapping ChargesAccording to The Spokesman-Review, DECAPITATED singer Rafal Piotrowski and bassist Hubert Wiecek made their first court appearance in Spokane County on Friday for allegedly raping a woman on their tour bus nearly two months ago. The 31-year-old Piotrowski was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape while the 30-year-old Wiecek was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape.
Their bandmates, 35-year-old guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka and 27-year-old drummer Michal Lysejko, were in court one week earlier, with the former charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape and the latter charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape.
All four musicians had their bonds set at $100,000 and were forced to surrender their passports to their attorneys. They also aren't allowed to talk to each other while incarcerated.
Piotrowski's attorney, Jeffry Finer, told The Spokesman-Review that his client and his bandmates will be pursuing bail, but are waiting on documents from Poland to "impress the court." He said: "Among this group, there are a number of advanced degrees and zero criminal history."
The woman alleged she was gang-raped by the musicians in their tour bus bathroom after DECAPITATED's August 31 concert with THY ART IS MURDER at The Pin concert venue in downtown Spokane as part of the two bands' "Double Homicide" tour. The woman said entered the bus for drinks with the band before each member forced themselves on her.
Deputies later stated the victim had "significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained" and "small abrasions on her knuckles that were scabbed over."
All four members of DECAPITATED were arrested on September 9 in Santa Ana, California after performing at the Observatory. They were held in Los Angeles County Jail before being extradited to Spokane.
DECAPITATED announced last month that it was canceling all previously announced tour dates. The band also publicly denied the accusations.
In a statement last week, the DECAPITATED members said that the charges against them were pressed "as a procedural formality," adding that "without doing so, [the police] would be forced to release band. This is not a conviction or any indication of guilt or innocence."
The musicians went on to say: "Some facts are indisputable at this point — that the original officer who took the complaint from the accuser stated, 'I do not have probable cause that a rape occurred,' and it's taken a full thirty days to file charges, which is right up against the point at which the defendants would legally have had to be released.
"The band firmly refutes the allegations and are confident that once the facts and evidence have been seen and heard, they will be released and able to return home." 11

ANTHRAX Guitarist To Release 'Access All Areas: Stories From A Hard Rock Life' Book In DecemberANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian will release his second book, "Access All Areas: Stories From A Hard Rock Life", on December 12 via Da Capo Press. Ian collects all of his craziest hard rock stories into one balls-to-the-wall volume. "Access All Areas" has tales of humor, excess, fun, debauchery, food, booze, and mayhem from Scott's many years on the road as well as his encounters with celebrities like "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA), Trent Reznor (NINE INCH NAILS), Madonna, Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD), John Carpenter, Robert Trujillo (METALLICA), SLAYER, David Lee Roth, and many more.
In recent years, Ian's "Speaking Words" club tours have drawn a devoted crowd of metal fans who love a good rock story. Ian has perfected his delivery, comic timing, and ability to highlight where the ridiculous meets the sublime. Best of all, Ian seems to lack the ability to be embarrassed, rendering "Access All Areas" howlingly funny, self-deprecating, and every bit as brash and brazen as one would expect from one of the original architects of speed metal.
Ian told Ultimate Classic Rock last December that the follow-up to his 2014 autobiography, "I'm The Man: The Story Of That Guy From Anthrax", would include "all stories that didn't fit into the flow of the first book. The first book is an autobiography and, at least for me, there's a certain flow to that and the way I wanted the story to move along at a really quick pace," he said. "There's just a lot of stories I had written that just really didn't fit into it — not because they were to tangential, but because I felt they were kind of taking you away from the path a little bit too much. That's where I ended up with a whole list of really great tales that just didn't work in the first book, but in a book full of stories? They're gonna be great."
Ian added that "writing is pretty much my favorite thing to be able to do. But I'd like to write more, whether it be for comics or movies. It's not something I've gone out and pitched myself for at all, because I just don't have the time now. Maybe when I do have the time I'll have honed my abilities a bit more, and maybe I'll have an idea to go pitch to somebody."
"I'm The Man: The Story Of That Guy From Anthrax" was released in October 2014 via Da Capo Press.
Ian told Rolling Stone that his first book wasn't your typical rock-star autobiography, with stories of excess, partying, and drugs. "My story doesn't follow that same storyline that every single book seems to," he said. "My book — I hate to sound cheesy — but it's really a tale about how anyone can do something if they really work hard at it. I swear to God, just out of being a fucking tenacious prick, that's how this band happened. I just never, ever, ever took 'no' for an answer and never stopped working. And I still have that attitude."
ANTHRAX is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "For All Kings", which was released in February 2016.

SCORPIONS: 'Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads' Track Listing, Cover Artwork RevealedGerman hard rock veterans SCORPIONS will release a new compilation album, "Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads", on November 24. The effort will include fourteen of the band's most famous ballads plus three new songs which were recorded this past summer.
Says the band: "We have put our most beautiful and legendary ballads on a brand new album and are topping it off with three brand new songs: 'Follow Your Heart', 'Always Be With You' and 'Melrose Avenue'. The album also includes a new acoustic recording of 'Send Me An Angel'. Additionally, we're going back to our roots with a brilliant cover photo by the legendary photographer Ellen von Unwerth. After the super-realistic art of Gottfried Helnwein ('Blackout') or Helmut Newton's legendary photo on the cover of 'Love At First Sting', this outstanding photo by Ellen will be worth its weight in gold."
"Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads" track listing:
01. Born To Touch Your Feelings ("MTV Unplugged" Studio Edit)02. Still Loving You ("Comeblack" Version)03. Wind Of Change ("Comeblack" Version)04. Always Somewhere (2015 Remaster)05. Send Me An Angel (New Acoustic Version 2017)06. Holiday (2015 Remaster)07. Eye Of The Storm (Radio Edit)08. When The Smoke Is Going Down (2015 Remaster)09. Lonely Nights10. Gypsy Life 11. House Of Cards (Single Edit)12. The Best Is Yet To Come13. When You Came Into My Life ("MTV Unplugged" Studio Edit)14. Lady Starlight (2015 Remaster)15. Follow Your Heart (New Full-Band Version 2017)16. Melrose Avenue (New Song)17. Always Be With You (New Song)
SCORPIONS singer Klaus Meine revealed during last month's SiriusXM Town Hall radio interview that the band's record company "wanted us to come up with a couple of bonus tracks" for the best-of-ballads collection "and we went in the studio and everybody came up with great ideas… We just finished a recording session and listened to the first mixes and stuff, and it sounds pretty good. It's gonna be a 'best of ballads,' but with those new tracks. And it's gonna be a cool project."
Regarding how the idea for the collection came about, Klaus said: "Sony Music approached us and said, 'C'mon, guys. You have so many powerful songs. And we wanna put it together in some kind of compilation you guys never did before.'"
Meine added that while the SCORPIONS are known in the U.S.A. mostly for their harder-edged material, like "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "in other parts of the world, SCORPIONS are very famous for the ballads, like 'Still Loving You' in France. And in Asia, they love the ballads, and in Russia, 'Wind Of Change' and all those songs are very powerful — equally as powerful as 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' here," he said. "So we talked about [doing] this. In different parts of the world, people like different types of music. So we can offer [a compilation that includes all the best of the softer songs]."
SCORPIONS' last release was 2015's "Return To Forever", partially comprising songs the band had in the vault from the '80s. It was the final recorded appearance of SCORPIONS' longtime drummer James Kottak, who was dismissed from the band in September 2016 during his well-publicized his battle with alcoholism. He has since been replaced by MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee.
SCORPIONS were recently forced to cancel the remainder of their North American tour dates with MEGADETH after Meine was diagnosed with "severe laryngitis." The singer was advised by a top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice or risk permanent vocal damage. 24

Watch SATYRICON Perform In TilburgFan-filmed video footage of SATYRICON's September 26 performance at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands can be seen below.
SATYRICON is touring in support of its latest album, "Deep Calleth Upon Deep", which was released on September 22 via Napalm Records. The disc was recorded in Oslo, Norway and Vancouver, Canada, during early 2017 and mixed together with revered studio guru Mike Fraser (who previously worked on SATYRICON's 2006 album, "Now, Diabolical").
The "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" front cover is an obscure drawing from 1898 by perhaps the greatest Norwegian artist of all time, Edvard Munch.
SATYRICON drummer Kjetil-Vidar "Frost" Haraldstad told "The Jasta Show" that "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" "is an album that we have been really working a lot with for a long time. It's all about getting the right expression for each and every song," he explained.
"It has never been anything that we've discussed in the band, but at least I personally feel that every song has a life of its own, a very strong and unique identity," he continued. "This album is really about giving life to those eight songs that constitute it.
"Like with every SATYRICON album, I guess it's very, very diverse, and this is more true than ever with the new one," he said. "In particular, when it comes to this identity bit, I feel the songs, even if they fit extremely well together in a compilation of songs, each and every one, it's very, very different from the others — almost like human beings are different from each other." 2

KOBRA AND THE LOTUS Releases Lyric Video For 'Prevail' SongThe official lyric video for the song "Prevail" from Canadian hard rockers KOBRA AND THE LOTUS can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's latest album, "Prevail I", which was released on May 12 via Napalm Records. The disc was produced by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, AMARANTHE, EPICA) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Ted Jensen.
Frontwoman Kobra Paige told I'm Music Magazine about the band's decision to work with Hansen this time around: "First of all, I had this feeling in my gut that I wasn't going to be able to find the evolution that I wanted to do inside of North America. I really wanted to try out a new experience with someone who was not North American. I really do think that people in different parts of the world hear music differently. That was an appealing factor to me and I've been hearing VOLBEAT's new record a lot. There was something about the clarity of it and how huge it sounded that really drew me into trying to find out who produced it and it turned out to be Jacob. I really think that on these albums, even if you listen to 'Gotham', there's so much going on there. There's a lot of guitar and a lot of vocal layering, but it is as clear as it can be."
Regarding the "Prevail" album title, Kobra said: "The track came after the project was titled and actually the title really set an attitude and precedent for us. It gave us this attitude of pushing forward and not giving up; our bass player, Brad, was the one who came up with the name. If we were really trying to make this very ambitious statement and with everything going on here, then we should call it prevail because that what we're doing. I thought it was perfect and everyone is prevailing through their own story, so it just turned into that."
"Prevail I" track listing:
01. Gotham02. TriggerPulse03. You Don't Know04. Specimen X (Mortal Chamber)05. Light Me Up06. Manifest Destiny07. Victim08. Check The Phyrg09. Hell On Earth10. Prevail
Kobra previously stated about the story of "Prevail I", the band's most ambitious effort to date: "When we are born, we are innocent, pure, and unshaped. This mandala signifies a human at the beginning of its journey. Unscathed and beautiful, the mandala is each and every one of us. As this album unfolds, you will notice it's more than just music. 'Prevail I' is a story of visceral truth and I believe, if we're really being honest with ourselves, everyone will find their story within it. After all, the battles may differ, but we all started as the same mandala and we are more relatable than we'd like to admit. Our only wish is that you may enjoy the freaking crap out of this album and find comfort in realizing you're not alone."
Evolution is inevitable and KOBRA AND THE LOTUS has delivered its most powerful album to date, "Prevail I", with "Prevail II" to complete the story in the not-too-distant future.
Led by Kobra Paige, KOBRA AND THE LOTUS has been making a name for itself worldwide since 2010 with extensive touring and three well-received albums.
KOBRA AND THE LOTUS is loaded with exquisite precision, heavy emotion, vocal brilliance and grand-scale dynamics, highlighting the glories of classic heavy metal and rock. Known for their exceptionally strong live shows, they proudly carry the flag for all metal/hard rock fans.

LINKIN PARK's CHESTER BENNINGTON Tribute Concert To Be Streamed LiveOne week from tonight, the surviving members of LINKIN PARK will celebrate the life of their friend and bandmate Chester Bennington with an unforgettable night of music at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The one-night-only show sold out immediately, but now fans will have another chance to experience this historic concert event.
"Linkin Park & Friends Celebrate Life In Honor of Chester Bennington" will stream live free of charge exclusively on YouTube Friday, October 27 at 7:45 p.m. PT at youtube.com/linkinpark.
This historic concert celebration will be the first time LINKIN PARK performs on stage together since Chester passed on July 20. Many amazing artists will be joining them on stage, including BLINK-182, Machine Gun Kelly, Jonathan Davis from KORN, Kiiara, Zedd, members of NO DOUBT, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, YELLOWCARD, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, and many other surprises.
As one of the biggest channels on the digital platform, the LINKIN PARK YouTube channel has more than ten million subscribers, and 4.7 billion (yes, billion) views. The band's latest music video for the song "One More Light" has received more than 33 million views alone.
Don't miss this special once-in-a-lifetime concert to honor a man who touched the lives of so many around the world.
LINKIN PARK vocalist Mike Shinoda spoke publicly for the first time about the death of Bennington and the band's future in an interview on September 18 with Los Angeles radio station KROQ. Discussing the group's Bennington tribute concert, Shinoda said, "I had gone to [producer] Rick Rubin as a source of guidance. He had said, 'I think you guys need to get on stage. I think that'll be the thing that'll feel good. It'll be super, super hard.'"
Shinoda continued: "We haven't gone out together in public, we haven't played — we haven't gone on stage... I know that for some of the guys in the band, getting on stage is more scary than [for] other guys in the band, but I will say that for all of us, it's definitely the thing that we want to do. It feels like the right way to celebrate Chester."
Shinoda said about his late friend and bandmate: "I know that the circumstances of his passing were really dark, and as we said at the time, the darkness that he had was always there and was kind of part of the package, but what was so unique and special about this guy is that he used it as fuel to do so many positive things… He was such a happy guy, he was such a fun guy. When he'd walk in the room, there was such a positive, funny, upbeat energy, and that's what we wanna get out of this show."
Shinoda admitted that the show will be a "roller coaster of emotion."
Proceeds from the concert will go to Music For Relief's One More Light Fund in memory of Bennington.
Bennington committed suicide at his home in Palo Verdes Estates, California. 1

SONS OF APOLLO Feat. PORTNOY, SHEEHAN, BUMBLEFOOT, SOTO, SHERINIAN: 'Lost In Oblivion' Video"Lost In Oblivion", the new Vicente Cordero-directed video from SONS OF APOLLO, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's debut album, "Psychotic Symphony", which is being released today (Friday, October 20) via InsideOut Music. The disc was produced by the dynamic production duo of Mike Portnoy and Sherinian Sherinian, also affectionately known as "The Del Fuvio Brothers," which is the nickname given to them over twenty years ago during their time together in DREAM THEATER.
SONS OF APOLLO is the "supergroup" featuring Portnoy and Sherinian alongside Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Billy Sheehan (THE WINERY DOGS, MR. BIG, DAVID LEE ROTH) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-JOURNEY, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN'S RISING FORCE).
Says Portnoy: "I can't believe it's finally here!!! The SONS OF APOLLO debut album is finally out today! This album has a little bit of something for everybody… classic rock, metal, prog…it's a musical feast for the ears!
"To prime everybody for the release, we're excited to debut the video for 'Lost In Oblivion'. This song is full-on energy, excitement and shred! From that crazy double-bass drum pattern that took me forever to perfect to the insane bass and guitar unisons throughout the song, to Jeff's always-hooky chorus… this song is another great example of what this band is about." "Psychotic Symphony" track listing:
01. God Of The Sun02. Coming Home03. Signs Of The Time04. Labyrinth05. Alive06. Lost In Oblivion07. Figaro/S Whore08. Divine Addiction09. Opus Maximus
SONS OF APOLLO got together very organically, as Portnoy explains: "Derek and I reunited shortly after I left DREAM THEATER in 2010 and we put together an all-instrumental touring band with he and I, Billy Sheehan, and Tony MacAlpine. That was my first time working with Derek since the '90s when he was in DREAM THEATER and it was just great to be working with him again. Ever since that tour, which was really just a one-off live thing, he has been nudging me to start a real, original, full-time band. The timing just had never been right, because I had too many other things on my plate. Long story short, the time was finally right to take the bait and put together a band." "Mike and I work at a relentless pace in the studio," continues Sherinian. "The music is modern, but we have an old-school soul. What is unique about SONS OF APOLLO is that we have true rock 'n' roll swagger along with the virtuosity — a lethal combination!” But what to call the next great supergroup? "Derek was mainly the one behind the name," says Portnoy. "I have a list that I keep on my phone of about a hundred different band names, which I constantly have to refer to every time I have a new band every year. [Laughs] So, I pulled up the list and APOLLO was one of the names on the list. It was a word that both of us really liked. We started fiddling with different variations of the word. One of the original band names we were working with was APOLLO CREED, the character from the 'Rocky' movies, but after lots of different discussions on different variations, Derek suggested SONS OF APOLLO and it seemed to stick. Apollo is the God of music so with that in mind it seemed like a fitting name." Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian and Billy Sheehan previously toured together in 2012 and 2013 as PSMS (along with guitarist Tony MacAlpine), playing all instrumental versions from each of their previously recorded music. SONS OF APOLLO is the next logical progression by adding a vocalist and creating all-original material. The band incorporates the progressive style and individual technical prowess that Portnoy and Sherinian shared together in DREAM THEATER combined with the swagger and groove of VAN HALEN, DEEP PURPLE and LED ZEPPELIN. "I have known Mike and Derek for a long time, so when they came to me with SONS OF APOLLO, I jumped on this straight away," says Thomas Waber, label manager/A&R international of InsideOut Music. "However, the album they ended up recording exceeded my already high expectations by a long mile! We couldn't be happier about it!" SONS OF APOLLO will hit the road in 2018 for their first worldwide tour. "This is a real band," Portnoy declares. "This is going to pick up for me and Billy where THE WINERY DOGS left off, in terms of this being the next logical full-time thing for us. I'm not saying THE WINERY DOGS have broken up, because we haven't, we're just on a break. SONS OF APOLLO is absolutely going to be a full-time band and we plan on touring all over the world all throughout 2018 and, honestly, it is the priority for all five of us." Sherinian agrees: "We will go on a worldwide crusade in 2018 to bring SONS OF APOLLO to as many people as possible. Apollo was the God of music, and we are his mighty offspring!" 4

HELLYEAH: Listen To Live Version Of 'Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)' From Deluxe Edition Of 'Unden!able'HELLYEAH will release a "deluxe" edution of its latest album, "Unden!able", on October 27 via Eleven Seven Music as a CD/DVD Best Buy exclusive and CD and live audio digital deluxe. The physical package contains the fan-shot live concert DVD, "We're All In This Together". The digital package contains the live audio from the DVD.
"Unden!able" features three Top 10 U.S. Active Rock singles, including "Human", "I Don't Care Anymore" and "Love Falls" — currently at its highest position at No. 7.
Featuring footage from HELLYEAH's Australian leg of the 2015 "Blood For Blood" world tour captured by the band's fans, "We're All In This Together" also features frank on-camera discussions with HELLYEAH founder Chad Gray discussing the heavy metal lifestyle and their history within the heavy metal community.
"Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)" live audio from "We're All In This Together" can now be streamed below.
"Unden!able" was released on June 3, 2016 via Eleven Seven Music. The disc marked the first time HELLYEAH's current lineup — singer Chad Gray, guitarists Tom Maxwell and Christian Brady, drummer Vinnie Paul and bassist Kyle Sanders — recorded together as a unit.
Maxwell recently confirmed that HELLYEAH will once again work with producer Kevin Churko, who helmed "Unden!able" and 2014's "Blood For Blood" record. "Yes, I hope so, yes," the guitarist said. "I don't wanna work with anybody else. [He's] kind of like the sixth member.
"For me, producers… It's a loosely thrown around word," he continued. "In my opinion, most producers are just glorified engineers. They know how to do good sounds, but a good producer, to me, is a composer who can bring ideas, who can help you re-write your song five or six different ways. And that's a good thing to have. I welcome feedback, and I welcome other ideas. It just inspires me. You might not like it, you might like it; you've just gotta try it and see if it works.
"So, yeah, the next record, I'm sure we're gonna be back in the studio with Kevin and it's gonna be just like what we're doing now — moving forward, [recording the] same heavy [kind of stuff]. Up and down, and giving people a journey."

THE MODERN AGE SLAVERY Release "The Theory Of Shadows" Lyric VideoItalian death metal / deathcore stalwarts, The Modern Age Slavery have released a lyric video for "The Theory Of Shadows," a track from their forthcoming album Stygian, available via Innerstrength Records on November 24th. Check out the clip below, and pre-order the new album here.
Coming almost four years after the release of 2013's Requiem For Us All (Pavement), the level-jumping blast of intensity on the band's Innerstrength debut is the result of miles logged and the already dynamic songwriting honed to a fine point.
The band released the following statement about the new album: "With this new album we tried to make another step forward in the evolution of our sound: what you'll hear it's a quite obscure atmosphere delivering a sullen and evil experience, yet keeping the heaviness of the death metal matrix that marked our music in the previous albums. The lyrics are all inspired by a common theme, from which the name Stygian and the correlated artwork come from, discussing the questionable matter of the human evolution leading men to a slow but inevitable mutation into a being that lost his mind and compassion devoured by greediness and will to power. All the pieces of the puzzle are perfectly pondered to create an album made of passion, of anger, and real emotions. This is the The Modern Age's album!"
Tracklisting:
“A Stygian Tide”
“Miles Apart”
“Prelude To An Evolution”
“Regression Through Unlearning”
“Sandblasted Skin” (Pantera Cover)
“The Hollow Men”
“The Place We Call Home”
“The Reprisal Within”

IRON SAVIOR Give Early Material A Sonic Upgrade; Reforged - Riding On Fire Album Due In DecemberHamburg based power metal band, Iron Savior, was facing a problem: what to do when your early albums are not available regularly anymore but a re-issue is not possible due to legal reasons? Well, the decision was made to use this situation to give the material a sonic upgrade.
“We can’t re-release our albums from the Noise Records years in their initial form”, band boss Piet Sielck says, “but we are free to re-record songs from these albums. We’ve approached this challenge with a lot of enthusiasm.”
What Sielck refers to, became a 19 tracks strong double album, now titled Reforged - Riding On Fire, which consists of the best and most popular songs Iron Savior have released so far. These 2017 re-recordings come with a much more powerful sound of course, but the band managed the task to keep the songs’ character and feel.
Demand is steadily rising: especially after the band’s latest album Titancraft (2016), which became the biggest chart success in their history, new fans wanted to discover the band’s catalogue. They’ll now get the best 19 tracks with an upgraded sound - of course mixed by Piet Sielck.
Tracklisting:
“Riding On Fire”
“Battering Ram”
“Brave New World”
“Prisoner Of The Void”
“Titans Of Our Time”
“Eye To Eye”
“For The World”
“Mindfeeder”

“Mind Over Matter”
“Warrior”
“Iron Savior”
“Tales Of The Bold”
“No Heroes”
“Break The Curse”
“Condition Red”
“Protector”
“I’ve Been To Hell”
“Atlantis Falling”
