CKY (Chad I Ginsburg, Jess Margera and Matt Deis) have debuted a new music video for their single "Head For a Breakdown”. Directed by The Costa Sisters, this is the third music video we've seen from the band off their latest LP. The video was shot in and around London, UK during the band's near sell out run earlier this year.

“We were lucky enough to get a day off to explore one of the best cities on earth with our friends," says the band. "The extremely talented Costa sisters, Elena & Sofia were behind the camera. We decided to crash the Queen's Garden Party and film our video in front of the gates of Buckingham Palace.

"This was all impromptu footage mixed with the absolutely mental crowds at our sold-out nights in London. This is our tribute and thank-you to the diehard Bloody Alliance and all the new fans and friends we made in the UK this time around. Can’t wait to see you again soon. Cheers!”

The band will set out on a lengthy tour serving  as main support for HIM on their Farewell Tour this fall. CKY will also play headline dates leading up to and throughout that run, full dates can be seen below.

CKY released The Phoenix on June 16th via eOne Music. The all new LP is the first release since the band put out Carver City in 2009. The album was engineered and mixed at Rancho De La Luna, the highly regarded recording studio in Joshua Tree, CA.

Heavy metal monsters Reverence will kick-off a string of Horns Up For The Holiday dates which will lead up to their EP release party in New York on December 22nd.

Two of the three shows will be with Detroit’s beloved metal band Halloween, to celebrate their 30 years of raising hell. Dates are listed in the poster below.

Through The Eyes Of The Dead have debuted a new music video for their single, "Hate The Living". Directed by veteran video director Michael Compitello, this is the first music video TTEOTD has released from their new LP.

“We are stoked to have teamed up with our good friends at MyGoodEye for the video of our first single," says guitarist Justin Longshore. "We really think the video captures the energy and vibe that you would expect from a TTEOTD live show. All footage was taken from our recent northeast trek in support of the new record. Horns up!”

The band's new LP, Disomus, is out now via Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music.

Disomus is the long anticipated follow up to their last LP, Skepsis released in 2010. Disomus marks the second consecutive album with vocalist Danny Rodriguez and drummer Michael Ranne (a first in the group’s impressive history) together with longtime bassist Jake Ososkie and founding guitarist and songwriting engine Justin Longshore. Disomus doubles as the studio introduction of new guitarist Steven Funderburk (also of Wretched, Lillake) and the return of original vocalist Anthony Gunnells and his successor, Nate Johnson, via strong guest appearances, bringing Through The Eyes Of The Dead full circle.

“Disomus” is the medical term describing an abnormal fetus with two bodies but one head. The album’s subject matter includes the tale of a man buried alive by a cult (“Obitual”), a dark magician’s creation of a malignant entity via sacrificial killing (“Haruspex”), underworld spirits doomed to roam the earth (“Dismal”), the Styx River of Greek myth (“Vortices In The Stygian Maelstrom”), the themes of the Alien/Prometheus film franchise (“Teras”, alternately named for an abnormal fetus with two heads and one body), and the real life tragedy and horror discovered by Rodriguez, a Chicago police officer, when called upon to check on the well being of an elderly person who lived alone (“Till Solace, She’ll Haunt”).

The rare video below features footage from the legendary Australian Sunbury Music Festival in 1975 featuring the Deep Purple Mark 3 lineup. The event started out sunny and hot, but the wettest January days in recorded history turned the event into a mud bath.

Deep Purple recently released their first-ever animated video. The official video for "The Surprising," one of the fan favorite tracks from the internationally successful album inFinite, takes the viewer on a journey through the magical 50-year history of the band. With high attention to detail, the animated masterpiece follows the five heroes of our story – Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Don Airey, and Steve Morse – through a stormy ship cruise full of allusions and sees them riding off into the sunset.

The video was directed and illustrated by Matt Rooke, alongside director Peter Rogers, who also produced the video together with Craig Hooper and Collin Games, known from the Deep Purple movie documentary From Here to inFinite.

Deep Purple and earMUSIC also announce the release of the 97-minute documentary From Here to inFinite, which is due out in November. It shows the history and origin of inFinite and provides a deep insight into the workings of the band for the first time on Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray further includes two hours of bonus material, including music videos such as "The Surprising," three previously unreleased live videos ("Time For Bedlam," "Birds Of Prey," and "Smoke On The Water"), all filmed and recorded at Hellfest 2017, as well as in-depth behind the scenes footage, movie documentary outtakes, interviews, and an audio commentary by Deep Purple themselves — all previously unreleased.

A brand new A PERFECT CIRCLE song titled "The Doomed" can be streamed below.

The track's release follows Friday's (October 13) fifteen-second tease from A PERFECT CIRCLE's official Twitter account and singer Maynard James Keenan recently hinting that a new APC album was on the way.

A PERFECT CIRCLE has been largely inactive on the recording front for the past thirteen years, with only a new song titled "By And Down" surfacing on a hits collection in 2013.

Back in April, A PERFECT CIRCLE debuted a different new song, "Hourglass", at a concert in St. Louis.

A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel confirmed earlier in the year that the group was beginning work on its first new studio album since 2004's "eMOTIVe".

The band's lineup remains unchanged from 2013. Joining Keenan and Howerdel once again are James Iha on rhythm guitar, Matt McJunkins on bass and Jeff Friedl on drums.

During the time that A PERFECT CIRCLE has been mostly on hiatus, Howerdel launched an act called ASHES DIVIDE, while Keenan toured and recorded with TOOL and PUSCIFER while also running a winery.

THE DARK ELEMENT, the new musical project featuring former NIGHTWISH vocalist Anette Olzon and Finnish guitarist and songwriter Jani Liimatainen, will release its self-titled debut album on November 10 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Since word of this project got out, fans have been frothing at the mouth with anticipation for its arrival. And no wonder considering the talent involved! Anette is widely known for being the immaculate voice on the hit albums from NIGHTWISH, "Dark Passion Play" and "Imaginareum". Jani has recently been busy in CAIN'S OFFERING alongside STRATOVARIUS singer Timo Kotipelto, but left a deep mark on the minds of all power metal fans thanks to his time in SONATA ARCTICA.

Said Liimatainen: "I have always been a big fan of Anette's voice and when the opportunity to work with her arose, writing and producing an album, it was something I just couldn't say no! "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Professionally filmed video footage of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris's solo/side project BRITISH LION performing on August 5 at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany can be seen below.

Harris told Mammoth Metal TV last year that the sophomore BRITISH LION disc would sound slightly different from the band's 2012 self-titled debut. "The band has been evolving anyway, just live naturally," he explained. "The second album will be a lot more like we are now. It's just the vibe, the sounds, the guitar stuff, some of Graham's [Leslie] guitar sounds on a couple of songs were that sort of sound. I'd still like to keep that element in there because the band is evolving. It's what we started with, so it's important."

He added: "[Of the new BRITISH LION songs] I think 'Bible Black' in particular, is pretty heavy, even though it has very melodic verses. I don't think there's too many bands out there at the moment playing this kind of stuff that is heavy and with this much melody in it. Maybe there is, but I don't know about it. We've played on some festival-type bills and we've been very different as to who else is on the bill, which I think is quite interesting."

BRITISH LION's debut album sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. Belgian black metal band, Saille, have announced the departure of drummer Kevin De Leener. "Things happen in life ... Kevin moves to France and leaves us in pain. We welcome Yoeri Gemeen as the new man behind the drum kit. New blood and new talent will bring Saille to the next level. His Maiden gig is next week in Bucharest.

Having already stormed the UK album chart at #6 with Heavy Fire in February and played a sold out European tour, the UK autumn shows will be another highpoint in a triumphant 2017 for Black Star Riders. With over 220 live dates under their belt, and with this forthcoming UK run about to kick off, the band wanted to thank fans for coming out to make their shows. Calling for fans to submit photos of them meeting the guys on the road, around 150 photos were picked from over 600 that were submitted to create a special fan video. Watch the results, below.

The tour opens at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on Wednesday, November 8th November and calls in at Edinburgh, Warrington, Hull, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Leicester and Cambridge before wrapping up at Portsmouth Pyramids on Sunday, November 19th November.

Man Is Myth - Early Demos are the unheard beasts out of the band's rehearsal room and studio, and will see the light of day on November 17th on Napalm Records. Says guitarist & vocalist Jon Paul Davis: “Conan has been active since 2006. Our first demo was recorded on January 27th, 2007 and since then we have continued to release our music and tour worldwide. We started out with nothing and gave it everything, like most respected bands. We are proud of where we have been and excited about where we may still go. These demos show a little bit of our progression through this time and hopefully can give the listener an idea of where we have come from. Our aim is always to play to our strengths and not over complicate, it held true at the beginning and it holds true now. Never give up.”

“Icicle” is Last Crack’s first new release in 25 years.

Last Crack is an unusual, almost schizophrenic band formed in 1987 in Madison, Wisconsin. Featuring a unique, highly emotional and charismatic vocalist as well as superb musicianship, they were signed to Roadrunner Records and released two full length albums: 'Sinister Funkhouse #17' and 'Burning Time in the early nineties. The music merged accessible forms of metal with numerous other influences ranging from psychedelia, funk, punk, blues and progressive rock. A difficult band to pigeonhole characteristically, they emerged at an interesting juncture in music when punk, thrash, and hair bands were all in the mix.

Close reference points may be bands such as Faith No More, King's X and Jane's Addiction; although Last Crack possessed a heavier approach and were more metallic in the rhythm department even while simultaneously being more experimental. The band themselves cite acts ranging from Rush to Fear as influences on their sound.

In the midst of the cultural chaos, the band was emerging as a critically acclaimed act with the potential to become commercially successful. The combination of a music label that did not quite know how to manage such an act, and growing tensions between the singer, musicians, and management caused the group to break up only a few months after their highly praised ''Burning Time'' album was released.

Since then they have reunited for landmark shows including a short tour to Iceland and the Netherlands. The band has been focused the past year with selective shows and writing. Now they are currently working to complete their long-awaited third full album at Megatone Studio in Madison where Last Crack Guitarist & Producer Paul Schluter has established himself for over a decade.

Last Crack is defined as Buddo on vocals, Paul Schluter and Don Bakken on guitars, Todd Winger on bass and Chris Havey on drums, who worked with the guitarists during their early pre-signed years. Phil Buerstatte, who played drums during the band’s signed years, passed away in 2013.
Three decades on, Last Crack has never been more focused, energized and committed to releasing new music to the world. Their new single plus a video for their song "Icicle" is available below.

Cruz Del Sur Music has announced the November 17th release of Vicious Breed from Pittsburgh's NWOBHM-inspired upstarts Lady Beast. The album was produced by Jason Jouver.  Karl Dahmer is credited with the album's cover art. A lyric video for album track "Every Giant Shall Fall" is available below.

Recorded at +/- Studios in Pittsburgh under the supervision of Jason Jouver, Vicious Breedis Lady Beast's most dynamic album to date. Sporting a wide variety of moods and flavors, the record features the speedy title track, downright heavy "Lone Hunter", the balladry of "Always With Me" and the straight-up rock of "Get Out of My Way." Guitarist Twiz states matter-of-factly: "I'm probably most proud of the songs on this than I am of other stuff I've written.

"I am very proud of the melodies and lyrical content on this album," adds Levine. "I have a bit of a formula when I start writing lyrics. The music and feel of the song obviously help the direction I turn, but also I like to have a skeleton of the same idea for each album. The song of an epic story, the hopeful song, the metal ripper, etc. Each is important as it builds the album as a whole. On Vicious Breed, we have our first ballad, on which it will be fun to slow it down and have people hear a different side of us."

Stocked with soaring twin-guitar harmonies, headstrong vocals, pounding tempos and would-be classic metal anthems, Vicious Breed is Lady Beast's coming out party. Swiss/Finnish/American hard rock band, Panorama, have signed with European label ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records. Panorama’s debut album Around The World, includes 11 tracks and is produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69).

In 2008 the Swiss guitarist, Sammy Lasagni (Gods of Silence, ex-Kirk, ex-Godiva), met the Uruguay born singer Christian Palin (Random Eyes, ex-Adagio) for the first time when Godiva, supported the band Adagio - fronted by Christian. The chemistry between the two was immediately obvious so they decided that they would, at some point in time, try to make music together. The two kept in contact but the years plodded along until 2015when a certain long telephone call on a cold winter’s day changed everything. Right then and there they decided to get to work. They began writing songs and in record time 15new songs were born. They decided to work with Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69) as a producer. The guys soon after met with Dennis and introduced their songs. Dennis was genuinely impressed. So impressed that he agreed to work with them and joined the band not only as producer, but as a bass player too. The guys completed their line-up with Finnish guitarist, Ben Varon (formerly of Amoral and Grease Helmet) and Swiss drummer Philipp Eichenberger (Gods Of Silence, ex-Kirk). Panorama was born.

Under the direction of Dennis Ward, who took over the whole production (produced, recorded, mixed and mastered), the band recorded their debut album Around The World partially at HOFA studios in Karlsdorf Germany and at The TrakShak, Dennis’ private studio. It was a long process but the album turned out fantastic. A Hard Rock production with a bit of Scandinavian influences and Christian has proven himself to be a world-class singer. Together with ROAR (Rock of Angles Records) Panorama found the perfect partner to release their album Around The World in early 2018.

Phoenix, AZ-based experimental sludge/post metal band, Sorxe, have announced their signing to Prosthetic Records. The four-piece rely heavily on improvisation, pulling ideas from an eclectic well of inspiration ranging from Neurosis, Swans, Melvins and Pink Floyd. Sorxe consists of guitarist/vocalist Tanner Crace, drummer Shane Ocell, and two bassists - Christopher Coons and Jonathan Portnoy, who tread new psychedelic ground into the unknown.

Crace comments on the signing: "Sorxe is humbled and honored to join the Prosthetic family! We have much music to share with everyone and we are truly excited to have this platform and support of the label to be able to extend our reach. We are greatly looking forward to the Matter & Void album release, touring, and bringing the music to a wider audience of people all over the world. Thank you!"

Sorxe is currently streaming the first track cut from their upcoming second full-length album, Matter & Void, out November 24the. The track, entitled "Hypnotizer", can be heard below.

Crace says about the track: "Lyrically there's a lot of intertwining themes about the cold calculating and unforgiving nature of existence. The song "Hypnotizer" deals with the allure and seduction of new technologies and how it's all sold to all of us to make life easier, but the double edge sword of the matter is we are becoming even more distant and distracted. Life is getting more chaotic and moving faster than we can keep up.

Musically we feel the album as a whole is more advanced structurally than our self-released debut Surrounded by Shadows, while at the same time it feels simpler. We really wanted to build on certain themes and let them grow and contort to suck you in, grab your attention and then take you on a journey with us. A lot of the inspiration comes from visual cues, certain vibes in movies we like, etc."

Matter & Void was recorded, mixed and co-produced by Matt Bayles (Russian Circles, Botch, Isis). The album will be available via CD, limited edition violet and black swirl LP and all digital outlets. Pre-orders are available here.

US metal stalwarts, Resistance, have released a new video for the song "Hail To The Horns" (A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio), from their new album Metal Machine, released back in June via No Remorse Records.

The video features live footage taken from the bands appearance at this years Up The Hammers festival in Greece along with fan photos and other performance footage from shows in Germany and the USA.

Metal Machine was produced and engineered by Dan Luna, Bill Metoyer and Resistance, and was is mixed and mastered by Neil Kernon. The album cover artwork was painted by Dusan Markovic.

The Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13, has revealed a new video for “Cadaverous”, a track from his current Condolences album. The clip plays up Wednesday's schlocky horror reputation in their best horror B-movie style, as he and his band finish up a US tour and get ready for a European tour later this month.  

"'Cadaverous' is the most fun and campy video that we have made so far," states Wednesday. "We really had fun with this one, and it's a throwback to all my favorites like The Munsters and The Addams Family. I hope our fans enjoy this as much as we did making it."

Details are sketchy for the moment, but word has come down that Italian musician/composer Zombie Sam will release an album featuring his renditions of songs taken from Beetlejuice Original Motion Picture Soundtrack released in 1988, composed by Danny Elfman, on November 30th. The album is arranged and producerd by Zombie Sam, mixed and mastered by FusixStudio. More information will be available soon.

Zombie Sam recently spoke with BraveWords scribe Carl Begai, discussing his forthcoming new record and unleashing his debut album Self Conscious Insanity, a record that blended symphonic and industrial elements to create a unique calling card, in 2013. The outing yielded two official videos – “A Hallowed Tale” and “Woman In White” – that gave Zombie Sam a Tim Burton-esue identity to go along with the music and earned him a cult following. A lot has changed since then including his musical vision, meaning the fans clamouring for a sequel to Self Conscious Insanity should be prepared for a distinctive new take on an esablished theme.

“I don’t try to imitate anybody, I just try to compose what I feel,” Sam says. “A few years ago I had some health problems with my heart, and after that my life changed somehow and I started seeing things in a different way. It also affected the way I compose music, so that definitely had an influence on the songs for the new album. I also wanted to change my sound. People told me the first album was leaning more in an industrial direction like Rob Zombie or Marilyn Manson, and I didn’t want that. I wanted to create something unique, be more myself; not too serious, maybe even a bit funny.”

More rock than metal this time out, Zombie Sam’s new material is, ironically, reminiscent of two beloved Canadian bands: The Creepshow and Billy Talent. He agrees with the suggestion that if his music is going to wear a stamp it should read “Horror Rock”.

“You mentioned those bands to me and I thought ‘Holy crap, he’s right…’ The new Zombie Sam music doesn’t sound like those bands exactly but it is similar. I like the music from both Billy Talent and The Creepshow, I like the way they perform live, so I could learn somethings from artists like that. They have an amazing energy. My new music is going more in the direction of something like The Creepshow. I don’t want to be heavy metal and I think this new stuff is more rock. Some of the vocal lines even sound a bit like pop music even though it’s not. It’s definitely more horror rock.”

Leftoverture Live & Beyond, produced by Jeff Glixman, features 19 songs selected from 12 shows recorded during Kansas' Spring 2017 Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour. The setlist includes classic hits, deep cuts, new songs from 2016's studio album The Prelude Implicit, and culminates with the band's sextuple-platinum breakthrough album, Leftoverture, performed in its entirety.

Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Leftoverture, and the release of The Prelude Implicit, Kansas embarked on their biggest headlining tour in decades. The overwhelming success of that tour led the band, along with Inside Out Music, to release selected songs from the tour as a live album.

"When we saw how much our fans enjoyed the Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour shows, we knew we had to record a live album," said Kansas drummer, Phil Ehart. "When it came to finding someone to produce it, we thought the best possible person would be the guy that produced Leftoverture 40 years ago. So, we called Jeff Glixman!"

Melodic metal band, Within Silence, will release their new album, Return From The Shadows, on October 27th in Europe and North America via Ulterium Records. A music video for the song “Children Of Light” is available for streaming below.

Return From The Shadows is a perfect follow-up to the debut album, Gallery Of Life, and feels like a more mature and focused album. The impressive songwriting and melodies are still there, and together with heavy riffs, symphonic arrangements and epic parts the result is a really strong album.

"We Own The Night", the new video from HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's fifth full-length album, "V" (Five), which will be released on October 27.

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD's Johnny 3 Tears told Loudwire about the track: "That is very specific. One night, after the studio, we were out getting drunk, I'll be honest. And we went down to Hollywood Boulevard and which, to be honest with you, I don't do very often anymore. I used to live down there, pretty much, but all the bars are different now. Anyway, we were doing it. We were walking around and we really wanted to write a song about the nocturnal qualities of the city.

"It's weird, because you can be in one spot and it's a different world than that twelve hours later, it's completely different. You've got everything going on, there's the bank and there's the supermarket and everyone's doing their normal thing, and then twelve hours later, instead of selling food, they're selling crack and all these other things. It was a take on the nocturnal aspects of our lives and we thought it would be cool to tell that story.

"We've always been on the darker side, subject matter-wise, with music. I suppose that's just the way we are. It was our take on those things. I never liked 'party music,' you know, 'Let's party all night.' I've always looked at the other sides of those things. It's just a take on that activity and where we were at at that point."

Regarding the "V" title, Johnny 3 Tears said: "We're five brothers, and this is our fifth record. Nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said 'Five', it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to 'No. 5' from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans supporting us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us."
