NULLINGROOTS To Release Into The Grey Album Via Prosthetic Records; “Subsistence” Track StreamingNullingroots, originally the project of sole member, Cameron Boesch, was formed in 2014 in Southern California. A debut, self-titled album was released shortly thereafter, which extracted Boesch's post-black metal style from his previous band, Solus, and incorporated lush, gazing atmospheric elements.
Prosthetic Records welcomes Nullingroots to their family, with Boesch commenting: "We are very proud and honored to be a part of the Prosthetic Records roster. We feel that with this label, and their very broad range of bands that they work with, we will not be pigeonholed and forced to write within the confines of the genre we most closely resemble, blackgaze. But instead are able to experiment with our sound and dabble into other metal genres to carve our own unique sound."
The band have released first track from their upcoming album, Into The Grey (out November 17th). The massive track, entitled "Subsistence", can be heard below. Into The Grey will be available online in "grey on grey" splatter vinyl and digipack CD formats. Pre-orders for the album are available here.
Cameron Boesch released two more Nullingroots full-lengths before assembling his band, comprised of Deacon Blue Batchelor, from the folk band Andrew Jackson Jihad on drums, and guitarist Alex Haddad. Shortly after, the three began writing Into The Grey. Self-produced, mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden Recording Studio, Into the Grey is an expansion of Boesch's vision. Everything is intensified; from the brutal opening track "Subsistence", to the somber passages in "The Morning That Killed The World", to the title track ending opus.
Nullingroots have taken what many call blackgaze to new heights and levels, releasing one of the finest albums of 2017.
Into The Grey tracklisting:

“The Morning That Killed The World”
“Rust”
“Aqua”
“Into The Grey”

OTHERWISE Releases Video For 'Angry Heart'"Angry Heart", the new video from Las Vegas rockers OTHERWISE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's third full-length album, "Sleeping Lions", which is being released today (Friday, September 22) via Century Media.
The conceptual clip is a dynamic, new look visually for the band, as they all acted in this full, intriguing storyline scenario.
OTHERWISE vocalist Adrian Patrick states: "The concept for the video of 'Angry Heart' is specifically constructed around the lyric line: 'So who is all bite and who is all bark? The Wolf of Light or the Wolf of Dark?'
"I gave our director, Mike Watts, some insight into my own struggles with anger and alcohol, and trying to find a balance between my new life as a family man and my lifelong musical mission. He devised this brilliant, provocative storyline that serves as an analogy for my inner battles... Do I follow the overwhelming love for my family and give up on the fire of my passion, or vice versa? Having the entire band act in the video itself helped to capture the authenticity of our plight. The video is a powerfully honest piece and it feels good to be so proud of it."
Adrian adds: "The initial spark for 'Angry Heart' took place on a cross-country flight from New York to L.A. I was watching UFC on the in-flight entertainment and the fighter, Cyborg, was giving an interview in which she basically said, 'I am a pretty nice person outside of the ring. I don't know why I fight with such an angry heart.' Upon landing on the West Coast, I told my brother about what she said and the lyrics just flowed out of me, like a molten poem of rage. For whatever reason, be it how our father raised us to fight for what we believe in, we completely related to Cyborg's statement.
"Personally, I've always felt like I was waging some kind of spiritual war, but I didn't know why, until my sons were born. Those two beautiful boys have utterly redefined the 'good fight' for me. Anger is a gift, if utilized properly, and we plan to somehow make the world a slightly better place by using that righteous fire for positive goals."
You'd be hard pressed to find a more fitting album title than "Sleeping Lions" for latest studio release from OTHERWISE. The album hits like a revelation, jolting the listener upright and transporting them from a dreamy landscape to a wide-eyed state of consciousness textured by humility and sandblasted by the winds that weather life.
"We named the album 'Sleeping Lions' because that's what we feel like - we've been hibernating in our neon desert cave, licking our wounds and regaining our strength for the hunt," says Adrian, who along with guitarist Ryan Patrick, form one of the most incendiary sibling duos in modern music. "Now we're back on the prowl again, and our eyes are wide open. The album title absolutely references a bigger awareness of who we are and what we're capable of. The last thing you ever want to do is wake sleeping lions."
The twelve-track epiphany runs an emotional gamut that juxtaposes the very nature of the recordings, "Angry Heart" flowing with the frontman's blistering vocal cadences as he "fills with hate" and "embraces the monster I'm becoming." As quickly as it boils over, the rage subsides on "Blame", one of the most sensitive statements of the band's career. "If it makes it better for you, just blame it all on me," the frontman pines, bleeding into the emotional effervescence of "Bloodline Lullaby", a heart-wrenching ballad of epic proportions.
OTHERWISE is a band built on emotion and fueled by the feelings that drive our lives. Anger. Regret. Love. This isn't packaged rebellion, it's the real world. And it's what makes the band — and album — connect at such a visceral level. "Emotion is the most important element of our writing process," Adrian says. "We try to capture every aspect of the human condition so the subject matter of our songs runs the gauntlet of what it means to be alive. Every lyric comes from a very genuine and heartfelt place. There are no fictional storylines or tough-guy rhetoric in any of our tunes."
One of the album's more mature musical excursions, "Monster" takes flight in a flurry of programmed embellishments and supple guitar play, an unbridled reminder of the relationship that destroys us all but we just can't bring ourselves to leave. The risks continue on "Nothing To Me", where the symphonic grandeur boils over amidst emotional disrepair, and "Suffer", where the guitars jangle more than mangle, conveying a melodic appreciation that far outweighs a more pedestrian quest for being heavy.
"As artists, evolution is the lifeblood of creativity," continues the singer. "We spread our musical wings a bit more on this album in a concerted effort to remain true to ourselves and not conform to what others expect of us. Rock and roll is all about taking risks, and that's what we do best. If we were forced to stagnate or remain trapped in the same stylistic box, the fire inside us would burn itself out."
One can confidently call "Sleeping Lions" the most mature chapter of OTHERWISE's impressive volume of work, but don't mistake mature for soft in the middle. Quite the contrary, the band's evolution is poignant both musically and lyrically, and they steer clear of the awkward growing pains that so many other bands endure.
That's a bold statement when talking about a band whose had four singles crack the Top 20 at Active Rock radio — "Soldiers", "I Don't Apologize (1000 Pictures)", "Darker Side Of The Moon" and "Coming For The Throne" — seen "Soldiers" alone surpass eight million streams on Spotify, toured alongside such heavy hitters as STONE SOUR and PAPA ROACH, and shared festival stages on land and sea, appearing anywhere from Rock On The Range to Shiprocked, and everywhere in between.
"Both 'Weapons' and 'Sleeping Lions' are special to us on several levels," the singer continues, pointing out a few of his favorite tracks. "Not only were they co-written with two of our idols, but 'Weapons' can absolutely be considered social commentary and 'Sleeping Lions' is basically our protest song. Album closer 'Bloodline Lullaby' serves as a tribute and legacy for our family, while the bonus track 'Won't Stop' is an anthem for our better angels... We try to infuse a sense of hope into all of our songs, regardless of how angry or sad or introspective they may seem. It's always an intentional goal of ours, to leave everyone, including ourselves, with a feeling of empowerment. We are eternally seeking the light through the darkness."

DESTRUCTION To Release 'Thrash Anthems II' Collection Of Re-Recorded Classics In NovemberGerman thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will release their new "best-of-old-school" album, "Thrash Anthems II", on November 10 via Nuclear Blast.
A decade ago, DESTRUCTION proved how successful re-recording some of their timeless classics and re-imagining history could be. The follow-up to 2007's "Thrash Anthems" is ready to rock the metal world and shows how fans can be part of both a band's history and future. For "Thrash Anthems II", DESTRUCTION called upon on their loyal fans through PledgeMusic to help them create the record and contribute to the band's epic history.
DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Schmier states: "As it is a part of our past to relaunch classic songs from our history with a fresh face and we had many demands on a 'Thrash Anthems' continuation, we decided to do a second part of this re-animation of classic '80s DESTRUCTION material.
"For us, it was important to choose the tracks with the fans and first when Nuclear Blast did not wanna do the album, we decided to do a pledge campaign to raise the fonds for the production together with the diehards.
"To make a long story short, we know not everybody will like these new versions of those thrash evergreens (just listen to the originals then) but it was an important task for us to keep them alive for a whole new generation of metalheads that love those fresh and brutal new recordings.
"We are very happy now that our label is finally releasing this collection of thrash classics. The vibe on this record is so vicious, non-commercial and has this '80s feeling with a even more aggressive edge, and that is was made our thrash so special, in the good old days and now!"
"Thrash Anthems II" track listing:
01. Confused Mind02. Black Mass03. Frontbeast04. Dissatisfied Existence05. United By Hatred06. The Ritual07. Black Death08. The Antichrist09. Confound Games10. Ripping You Off Blind11. Satan's Vengeance12. Holiday in Cambodia (DEAD KENNEDYS cover) (bonus track)
This stunning artwork was created by acclaimed Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsak, who has also created artwork for ANNIHILATOR, GRAVE DIGGER, STRATOVARIUS, TANKARD and many more. 2

JAG PANZER: Lyric Video For New Song 'Fire Of Our Spirit'Colorado metallers JAG PANZER have released the official lyric video for their song "Fire Of Our Spirit". The track is taken from the band's new album, "The Deviant Chord", which will be released on September 29 via SPV/Steamhammer.
For JAG PANZER, team spirit is more important than anything else. Without team spirit, guitarist Mark Briody would no longer see any reason for continuing the band. "We're like a family, we've all known each other for many years," he says and looks back at the years between 2011 and 2013 when JAG PANZER were on the brink of calling it a day. "Two bandmembers quit and there was little interest in hiring new people and starting over. Introducing new musicians would have been tough, so we decided to disband." But then the American power metal act's strong fan base made itself heard, causing the spark to be rekindled. Briody explains: "We had a lot of interest in our early albums, so my bandmates soon noticed that people were still listening to JAG PANZER, that the audience was still there. We started talking on the phone more and more. Some excellent gig offers arrived so we decided we should get back together."
"The Deviant Chord" is a veritable metal manifesto, consisting of ten awesome songs featuring all those typical JAG PANZER strengths that the band's fans have come to appreciate. Together with band members John Tetley (bass), Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin (vocals), Rikard Stjernquist (drums) and Joey Tafolla (lead guitar), who has returned to the fold, Briody has recorded an album that impresses in every respect and that benefits from the outstanding qualities of all five band members.
"John does our 'quality control,' meaning that he makes sure every song we do is the best it can be. Harry is a musical genius. He's been singing since we were kids, he's very skilled in vocal arrangements and vocal recording techniques. This skill makes him a very big contributor in the songwriting. Rikard is all about drumming. He's been drumming since he was a small child and has never stopped. He grew up living all around the world and he has always been in a band. Joey is the classic lead player in every sense of the world. He has amazing skill on the guitar plus an outstanding stage presence. His playing makes every song better." "The Deviant Chord" will be available as a CD digipak (including poster) and double LP colored version as well as for download and streaming. The cover artwork was created by Serbian artist Dusan Markovic and reflects the album's haunting atmosphere perfectly. Briody gives also some hints: "Fans of both science fiction and real-life scientists should look closely at the new JAG PANZER album as the band has placed a few hidden tributes in the album art!"
There can be no doubt: the spark has rekindled the fire in JAG PANZER and it's burning brightly. Briody says: "The mood in the band is very focused. This album was the first time we did multiple demos for every song. So everyone has been very involved in every step. Each band member got to see a song grow and change with time. That's very exciting for us. And we're all excited to unleash 'The Deviant Chord' unto the world."
"The Deviant Chord" track listing:
01. Born Of The Flame (4:00)02. Far Beyond All Fear (3:49)03. The Deviant Chord (5:37)04. Blacklist (4:19)05. Foggy Dew (3:20)06. Divine Intervention (3:30)07. Long Awaited Kiss (6:16)08. Salacious Behavior (4:07)09. Fire Of Our Spirit (4:37)10. Dare (5:17)

BRUCE DICKINSON Recalls Joining IRON MAIDEN In New Autobiography ExcerptDey Street Books (formerly It Books), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, will publish IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's autobiography, "What Does This Button Do?", in the U.S. on October 31.
An excerpt from the book, in which we pick up the story at the tail end of Bruce's time in SAMSON, heading into a rather important meeting at Reading festival, can be found at IronMaiden.com.
A promotional video for "What Does This Button Do?" is available below.
Heavy metal pioneers since their formation in 1975, IRON MAIDEN have sold over ninety million albums and played over two thousand shows in sixty-three countries, making them one of the most successful and globally influential bands of all time. One of the world's most storied musicians, Dickinson has been the band's internationally acclaimed lead singer for more than thirty years, and quite aside from the decades spent delivering high-octane performances with his larger-than-life persona, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence too. A true polymath, Bruce is, or has been, an airline pilot and captain, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist, radio presenter, TV actor and a world-class fencer.
Over the last couple of years, and throughout MAIDEN's "The Book Of Souls" world tour, which has covered thirty-nine countries and one hundred and seventeen shows since February 2016, Bruce has turned his unbridled creativity to writing his memoirs, longhand (in seven A4 notebooks no less).
In "What Does This Button Do?", Bruce (a man who famously never gives interviews about his personal life) shares, for the first time, the most fascinating recollections, including his thirty years with MAIDEN, the early days, his childhood within the eccentric British school system, going solo, realising his dream of flying jumbo jets and his recent battle with tongue cancer. Dickinson is so much more than the frontman of one of the biggest bands on the planet. A rock icon, a true renaissance man, Bruce has been, and remains, a man of legend.
Bold, honest, intelligent and very entertaining, "What Does This Button Do?" is the long-awaited window into the life, heart and mind of one of our most adventurous and multifaceted sons. The global publication on October 19 will be accompanied with a commensurate international book tour. More details to come soon.
Bruce said: "It was flattering to be approached to write a book about my experiences and it seems an appropriate time to do this."
Publishing director Jack Fogg negotiated world rights with Adrian Sington at Kruger Cowne, Dave Daniel at Celebrity Speakers and MAIDEN's management, Phantom Music Management, and will publish in conjunction with Denise Oswald, senior editor at Dey Street in HarperCollins U.S.
Fogg said: "There's no one like Bruce. Which other rock musician can fly a 747, or fence at an international level? He's a total one-off; engaging, funny, warm, self-deprecating — a British eccentric in its very best form. His book will be outstanding and I am so delighted we get to publish it and work with him."
Oswald said: "Bruce Dickinson might quite literally be the world's most interesting man. He's a true Renaissance man, and being one of the greatest rock singers of all time is merely the beginning. His memoir, like his voice, is sure to set a new gold standard and we're thrilled to be working with him on it."
Anette Ekström, MD HarperCollins Nordic, said: "We are so very pleased to be the publishing house for this exciting book! The Nordic countries have a steady fan base for heavy metal, and IRON MAIDEN in particular. Our aim is to publish the memoir in all four Nordic languages, as close to the English release as possible as we understand the fans will be anxious for it."
The first print-run of the U.K. hardback will have black sprayed-edges and will be available to pre-order ahead of publication. 2

SWEET & LYNCH Featuring MICHAEL SWEET, GEORGE LYNCH: Listen To 'Bridge Of Broken Lies' SongThe song "Bridge Of Broken Lies" from SWEET & LYNCH — the band featuring guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of STRYPER, legendary guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), bassist James LoMenzo (MEGADETH, WHITE LION, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Brian Tichy (THE DEAD DAISIES, WHITESNAKE) — can be streamed below. The track is taken from SWEET & LYNCH's sophomore album, "Unified", which will be released on November 10 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Says Sweet: "George and I couldn't be more excited about this album! We've worked very hard to bring you the best of both worlds — a throwback of the chart-topping STRYPER/DOKKEN days yet with a modern production that fits right in with anything out there now in the rock world today.
"We couldn't be more proud than to be working with Brian Tichy and James LoMenzo again as they are the best rhythm section you'll ever hear.
"If you liked SWEET & LYNCH I, you're going to love 'Unified'."
"Unified" track listing:
01. Promised Land02. Walk03. Afterlife04. Make Your Mark05. Tried & True06. Unified07. Find Your Way08. Heart Of Fire09. Bridge Of Broken Lies10. Better Man11. Live To Die
Michael previously said that SWEET & LYNCH was formed when Frontiers president Serafino Perugino approached him "to sing and write for what [Serafino] was referring to as a 'supergroup' project — (one of the first) that Frontiers would be putting together and releasing. I was, of course, not only intrigued by the idea but also humbled that he would ask me! Jon Levin [DOKKEN] was suggested as the possible guitarist and I suggested to Serafino getting the man himself, Mr. Scary [George Lynch] involved. Serafino was, of course, excited about the idea. Frontiers has told me how happy they are with my production on the new STRYPER albums, so I immediately suggested producing as well. Serafino also agreed. I contacted George [as soon as possible] and he quickly agreed to be a part of this exciting project. It was decided that he and I would co-write everything together and that I would produce."
Sweet, who is a devout Christian, also talked about his working relationship with George, who considers himself to be a freethinker/atheist.
"You may ask how does an atheist and a Christian work together in a band situation? The answer is respect. Although I don't agree with George's spiritual/religious views (and he doesn't agree with mine, assumedly), we respect each other as musicians, friends and human beings.
"I'm free to do many things with the hope that maybe, just maybe, my life might have a profound effect on people I come in contact with.
"I've spoken with George many times over and he always strikes me as a genuine soul and someone who cares for and loves people. Bottom line? He's a great guy and I'm proud to be a part of this with George.
"Although we don't see eye to eye in our beliefs, we respect each other enough to not let that come between us."
Lynch concurred, telling Antihero Magazine: "There could potentially be a conflict there between Michael and I, and we've talked about that. I'm sort of a freethinking atheist, and he's a born-again Christian. I've been through that in my life; I was a born-again Christian at one point. I was the guy knocking on your door handing out tracks. I played in a Pentecostal charismatic band that did revivals… tent revivals in black neighborhoods in South Central L.A. — yeah, all kinds of stuff. I definitely have something to say about all that, but I don't know how effective I am at it. I'm not RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. I wish I was."
SWEET & LYNCH's debut album, "Only To Rise", was released in January 2015 via Frontiers Music Srl.

WITHERFALL Announce New Live Members; Nocturnes And Requiems Album To Be Released In Europe Next MonthUS dark melodic metallers, Witherfall have completed their lineup for live activities. After the tragic demise of founding member Adam Sagan, who passed away right before Witherfall’s debut album, Nocturnes And Requiems, was ready for release, Witherfall have taken a well-deserved break of some few months for drumming auditions, finding a replacement for Adam in the highly talented Steve Bolognese, who by strange coincidence replaced Adam Sagan after his departure from the Canadian progressive power/death metal heroes, Into Eternity.
"This is indeed a bitter sweet statement to announce, on one end we are happy to have found a replacement for our late drummer Adam Sagan. On the other side of the coin, we had to find a replacement for Adam. We went through a long period of searching for the right drummer to carry on Adam‘s contributions to Witherfall. With Steve Bolognese we knew from our first rehearsal and assorted meetings that he was the right fit. Not only does Steve pay respect to the drum parts that Adam recorded on Nocturnes And Requiems. Steve also shares with Adam an impressive writing ability when it comes to composing his drum parts while we are in the pre-production stages for the follow-up to Nocturnes And Requiems. We have also been putting in gruelling hours getting our live show dialled in. Expect Witherfall touring announcements very soon." - Witherfall
Steve Bolognese comments: “I am excited to announce that I have recently joined Century Media recording artists Witherfall. As happy as I am to be part of such an incredible band, there are tragic circumstances surrounding the situation, as many may know. Original Witherfall drummer Adam Sagan was a friend of mine. Adam was the original drummer and passed away last year during the final stages of production. Sagan and I both played drums with Into Eternity as well as sharing a lot of the same friends, including Jake and Joseph. Adam would come out to see Into Eternity play every time we came through Minnesota. He remained a great friend. Witherfall was Adam's band along with Jake and Joseph. They formed it. I am going to do my best to carry on with it the way Adam would have wanted. Adam Sagan was an amazing talent and he didn't make Nocturnes And Requiems an easy record to learn to play on drums, but I am going to do my best. Adam Sagan is truly missed by all. See you all on the road soon!“

Witherfall have also just announced Fili Bibiano as a second guitar player in the lineup and are ready to return back on stage.

Video Premiere: ASKING ALEXANDRIA's 'Into The Fire'The official Jensen Noen-directed video for "Into The Fire" a brand new song from the U.K. metalcore band ASKING ALEXANDRIA, can be seen below. The track marks the group's first recording with singer Danny Worsnop since he rejoined ASKING ALEXANDRIA last fall.
"Into The Fire" will appear on ASKING ALEXANDRIA's next studio LP, which will be released on December 15 via Sumerian. The disc was produced by FROM FIRST TO LAST's Matt Good and mixed by Taylor Larson.
ASKING ALEXANDRIA guitarist Ben Bruce says: "This is an incredibly exciting period in ASKING ALEXANDRIA's career. We have been through hell and back again. It's been an insanely long road but we couldn't be more excited that it has brought us to where we are now. We have been given a new lease on life. As individuals, this is the happiest we have been in a very long time."
Worsnop recently said that he was having "so much fun writing an album I never thought I'd make with people I never thought I'd make on with again. It's out of the box, out of my comfort zone, out of the ordinary, and out of this world! This is something totally new and unique that I cannot wait for the world to hear. This album has me proud, humbled, reassured, and affirmed. Welcome to a new era, and a new sound which I'm sure in two years will be ripped off by far too many artists (there's a song about that on here too)."
Danny continued: "You will not hear songs about partying, or girls, or how rock and roll I am. Instead you will hear some of the most carefully crafted songs I've ever made that hopefully will live longer than I do.
"Thank you to [ASKING ALEXANDRIA guitarist Ben Bruce] for writing some phenomenal music for me to create stories with, [bassist Sam Bettley], [drummer James Cassells] and [guitarist Cameron Liddell] for their great talent in making this sound so good, and [producer Matt Good] for heading the operation and fooling the world into thinking I know what I'm doing."
The reunion between Danny and ASKING ALEXANDRIA was confirmed last October following weeks of rumors and speculation regarding the status of his replacement, Denis Shaforostov, who joined the band in 2015.
Danny, who released a solo album, "The Long Road Home", in February while still being involved with his other band WE ARE HARLOT in between acting gigs, told Finland's Kaaos TV that he is working closely with the members of ASKING ALEXANDRIA to ensure that he is able to pursue other projects alongside his touring and recording activities with AA.
When Danny's return to ASKING ALEXANDRIA was first announced, Bruce said in a video message that Shaforostov had "just stopped talking to us." But Denis later tweeted, "I left AA because I can't be in a touring band at this point in my life. There's no drama and I don't want to be a part of it." 3

PEARL JAM/SOUNDGARDEN Drummer MATT CAMERON Releases New Solo Song 'All At Once'"All At Once", a new song from PEARL JAM, SOUNDGARDEN and TEMPLE OF THE DOG drummer Matt Cameron, can be streamed using the widget below. The track is taken from Cameron's new solo album titled "Cavedweller", which will be released on September 22.
The disc, which was completed before SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell passed away in May, features Matt on vocals and guitar, with drums by Mark Guiliana and bass by Tim Lefebvre, both of whom played on David Bowie's "Blackstar". "Mark's performance on the title track was kind of mind-blowing," Cameron told Rolling Stone. "That was kind of what I was hearing for a drum performance, so I just reached out through Instagram or Facebook and he got right back to me. Once he was on board, I had a little more confidence to complete the project."
Cameron — who has played in previous side projects such as HATER and WELLWATER CONSPIRACY, with which he has recorded three and five albums, respectively — admitted that handling the vocals on his solo album was "the toughest part for me. I'm pretty limited in terms of what I can do, but it's better for me to do it all as opposed to bringing in a real singer and doing it that way even though my vocal prowess is very limited in comparison to Chris and [PEARL JAM singer] Eddie [Vedder]," he told Rolling Stone.
Cameron was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier this year as a twenty-year member of PEARL JAM, although both SOUNDGARDEN and TEMPLE OF THE DOG — which reunited last year for a tour — are both now seemingly over following the death of Cornell.

KORN, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, SYSTEM OF A DOWN Members To Perform With LINKIN PARK At CHESTER BENNINGTON Tribute ConcertAVENGED SEVENFOLD's M. Shadows and Synyster Gates, KORN's Jonathan Davis, SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian and John Dolmayan, the members of BLINK-182, BRING ME THE HORIZON's Oli Sykes, YELLOWCARD's Ryan Key, Machine Gun Kelly and Kiiara will perform with the surviving members of LINKIN PARK at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 27. The concert will mark LINKIN PARK's first appearance since singer Chester Bennington's death in July.
LINKIN PARK said in a statement that they'll be joined by a number of artists who knew Bennington or were influenced by his music.
LINKIN PARK vocalist Mike Shinoda spoke publicly for the first time about the death of Bennington and the band's future in an interview on Monday (September 18) with Los Angeles radio station KROQ. Discussing the group's Bennington tribute concert, Shinoda said, "I had gone to [producer] Rick Rubin as a source of guidance. He had said, 'I think you guys need to get on stage. I think that'll be the thing that'll feel good. It'll be super, super hard.'"
Shinoda continued: "We haven't gone out together in public, we haven't played — we haven't gone on stage... I know that for some of the guys in the band, getting on stage is more scary than [for] other guys in the band, but I will say that for all of us, it's definitely the thing that we want to do. It feels like the right way to celebrate Chester."
Shinoda said about his late friend and bandmate: "I know that the circumstances of his passing were really dark, and as we said at the time, the darkness that he had was always there and was kind of part of the package, but what was so unique and special about this guy is that he used it as fuel to do so many positive things… He was such a happy guy, he was such a fun guy. When he'd walk in the room, there was such a positive, funny, upbeat energy, and that's what we wanna get out of this show."
Shinoda admitted that the show will be a "roller coaster of emotion" and added that plans for it are still coming together.
Proceeds from the concert will go to Music For Relief's One More Light Fund in memory of Bennington.
Bennington was found dead on July 20 after committing suicide at his home in Palo Verdes Estates, California.

OBLIVION Announce The Path Towards… Album; Features Guest Appearances From NILE, SUICIDE SILENCE, HIDEOUS DIVINITY MembersFocused on crafting music to transcend time and genres, Oblivion features a compelling lineup with internationally-acclaimed composer and Antagony founder Dr. Nick Vasallo on vocals and bass, All Shall Perish and Antagony founder Ben Orum on guitar, thrash metal veteran guitarist Ted O'Neill, and drum virtuoso Luis Martinez (formerly of The Zenith Passage), trained by renowned jazz funk musician Ndugu Chancler. Their songs are masterfully composed by Vasallo using material from all the band members. Each album is highly unified conceptually and musically.
Darker, heavier, and even more eclectic, The Path Towards... was composed by Vasallo early this spring and boasts an all-star lineup of guest artists that include Karl Sanders (Nile, guest songwriter), Eddie Hermida (Suicide Silence/All Shall Perish, guest vocals), Enrico H. Di Lorenzo (Hideous Divinity, guest vocals), and Carlos Saldana (Connoisseur, guest vocals). This album also marks the return of Ben Orum and Nick Vasallo collaborating on music since Antagony's debut album in 2001. With precise and intricate guitar solo work by O'Neill and legendary performances by Martinez, Oblivion forges ahead stronger than ever with The Path Towards...
The Path Towards... was recorded and engineered by Zack Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish, Cattle Decapitation, Fallujah et al) at Castle Ultimate Productions, features artwork by Daniel McBride (Black Label Society, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Chimera et al) and will see release on November 17th with preorders to be announced in the coming weeks.
A first taste of the record, “Awaiting Autochthon”, co-written by Nile’s Karl Sanders, is streaming below.
After Called To Rise came out Oblivion guitarist Ted O'Neill traveled to South Carolina to spend some time learning from death metal icon Karl Sanders of Nile. "After a week of getting my face melted off I asked Karl if he would be interested in doing a guest spot on the next Oblivion album," recalls O'Neill. "I wanted to do something different though, something unique, not just the usual 'guest solo' spot. I wanted Karl to cowrite a song with us. I knew his immense talent would mesh uniquely with Vasallo's mastery."
Four years later the band realizes that dream with Sanders cowriting and collaborating on the track "Awaiting Autochthon." "Nick is like the Bruce Lee of avant garde metal composing," says Sanders. "He is a madman! He is untouchable and from another planet, wildly innovative and creative."

CORNERS OF SANCTUARY Announce New Singer Treese LoganTraditional heavy metal rockers Corners Of Sanctuary (COS) have parted ways with singer Frankie Cross and announce the recruitment of new female vocalist Treese Logan.
"The band is moving into new directions. There's a lot more ground we intend to cover," said COS founder and guitarist, Mick Michaels. "Bringing Treese on as lead singer opens up the band to new possibilities and heights. We are very excited about this next chapter," he added.
“I‘m beyond thrilled to get to play hard and heavy with these boys and honored to get to contribute and grow with such talent and dedication,” said new COS lead singer Treese Logan in her initial public statement. “I cannot wait to get to work and build on what we will become together!” Logan added.
The announcement comes on the heels of the band's recent single release "Dreams" which features singer Kayla Marie from Powerless Rise. "We knew a change was coming, so we wanted to test the waters with a female vocalist fronting COS," Michaels said. "Having a guest singer for Dreams gave us that chance and the results were better than we imagined," he continued.
And even with the announcement of a new singer, the band has released a new music video for "Dreams" that includes Kayla Marie.
"It's a great song. A new video just made sense," said drummer and the song’s co-writer Mad T. "The video is definitely a heavy conceptual piece. Adding a few more layers to the song's meaning," he continued.
Additionally, the band's latest album, The Galloping Hordes, is still planned for release; however, no release date has yet been set.
"It's a great album and there's no reason why it shouldn't see the light of day," explained bassist James Pera. "We decided to shop for a new record label and see what's available to us. So we are definitely not in a rush. The whole situation puts us in a very unique position with a new album with an old singer, a new single and video with a guest singer and upcoming shows and a tour with a new singer. It's crazy, it's nuts, but that's rock n roll," added Pera.
The band has already begun working on a new single to release later this fall introducing the fans to Treese and begin the next phase of their musical career. “It’s always a blessing to be able to continue to further a dream, to find unopened doors,” said Michaels. “We are truly grateful for everyone’s support,” he added.
Corners Of Sanctuary will be heading to Southern California this November for the American Metal Mayhem Tour presented by Metal Babe Mayhem. "I am super stoked that Corners of Sanctuary will be out on the West Coast this November. We kick things off at the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill on November 6th," said MBM owner Alison “MetalBabe” Cohen. Additional shows include dates at the World Famous Doll Hut in Anaheim and Malone’s House of Metal in Santa Ana.
A COS crowdfunding fan support page has been created, so metal music fans can help support the band's upcoming West Coast excursion by making a tour expenses contribution in exchange for some limited edition merchandise including an autographed guitar and cymbal used by the band.

Ex-IRON MAIDEN Singer BLAZE BAYLEY Releases Video For 'Eating Lies' Song"Eating Lies", the new Richard Pembridge-directed video from British heavy metal vocalist Blaze Bayley (IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE), can be seen below. The song is taken from his ninth solo album, "Endure And Survive", which was released on March 3 via Blaze Bayley Recording. The disc was recorded at Birmingham, England's Robannas Studios and said to be "an exciting and enthralling sequel" to his 2016 release "Infinite Entanglement", which was the first of a trilogy of releases following a sci-fi concept and storyline.
Throughout the "Endure And Survive" world tour, Blaze is being backed by his main recording and touring musicians, picked from British metal band ABSOLVA and including Chris Appleton (guitar, backing vocals), Martin McNee (drums), Karl Schramm (bass, backing vocals).
In addition to the established bandmembers as above from ABSOLVA, "Endure And Survive" also contains a talented array of collaborators: Luke Appleton (ICED EARTH, ABSOLVA) on backing vocals; Michelle Sciarrotta on nylon acoustic, backing vocals, voice actor; Jo Robinson on backing vocals; Mel Adams on backing vocals; Liz Owen on backing vocals; Thomas Zwijsen on nylon acoustic, Anne Bakker on violin, backing vocals; Corvin Bahn (Uli Jon Roth) on accordion; Aine Brewer (voice actor); and Rob Toogood (voice actor) on backing vocals.
The spectacular album artwork was created by Andreas Sandberg, with additional images from Christopher Steenstrup who is also working on a Blaze Bayley video game.
"Endure And Survive" was recorded between October and December 2016, produced by Blaze Bayley and Chris Appleton, mixed and engineered by Miguel Seco, mastered by Ade Emsley (IRON MAIDEN, TANK, PHIL CAMPBELL). As with the previous record, the songwriting has been a collaboration between Blaze, Chris Appleton and Michelle Sciarrotta.
"Endure And Survive" track listing:
01. Endure And Survive02. Escape Velocity03. Blood04. Eating Lies05. Destroyer06. Dawn Of The Dead Son07. Remember08. Fight Back09. The World Is Turning The Wrong Way10. Together We Can Move The Sun
Bayley told AXS.com about "Endure And Survive": "The trilogy starts last year with 'Infinite Entanglement', which is the story of someone being selected for a mission to go right across the galaxy to a new earth-like planet discovered by telescope. He discovers that he's not actually in a tight-fitting spacesuit, but his consciousness has been downloaded into a machine body. He only discovers that when he's on the mission. Then he has to decide, 'Well, I think like a human. I feel like a human, but I have no flesh and blood. Am I human?' And, it's a question of identity and going to a new place with no regrets and no past, but leaving behind everything that you know and consider to be home and knowing it's a one-way journey. On part two, 'Endure And Survive', it is the end of this mission. It takes a thousand years to get to the new earth-like planet; there is no faster-than-light travel, so he has to 'endure' this journey of a thousand years. As he gets close to the planet, he starts to realize that he was never meant to get there. The ship's computer and the ship itself are programmed to get rid of him, to throw him out into space, to treat him like a piece of junk. Now, his mission is accomplished, his DNA is never supposed to reach that point. And that is the 'survival' part. He has to survive this attempt on his life, the attempt to obliterate him, to destroy him. That's why it's 'Endure And Survive'.
"This second album is much darker, but it also has songs like 'Fight Back', which is about out of sheer spite, not giving in. You know they want to get rid of you and you're just hanging on for sheer spite. 'Dawn Of The Dead Son' is about coming back from it, making a decision in your own mind that you will not let go. That you will not give up, no matter what, as the drowning man, you refuse to drown. That's what it's about.
"There are many of these subjects on the album and it's much darker. So far, live, everywhere we've played in the U.S., we've played a lot of new songs from the 'Endure And Survive' album and from 'Infinite Entanglement' and fans have gotten really into it. They've gone down really well and the album is doing well."

QUORTHON's Father And BLACK MARK RECORDS Owner BÖRJE 'BOSS' FORSBERG Dies After Long IllnessBörje "Boss" Forsberg — owner of Black Mark Records and father of late BATHORY mainman Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg — passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 14. A post on the Black Mark Production web site reads: "After many years of serious illness, his big heart has given up."
Börje's death comes more than thirteen years after the passing of his son, who was found dead in his apartment in Stockholm, Sweden on June 7, 2004. The 39-year-old, widely considered to be one of black metal's founding fathers, reportedly died of heart failure.
Although Quorthon's blood relation with Boss was staunchily denied — for reasons that are unclear — throughout BATHORY's lifespan, the musician's real identity was confirmed after his tragically early death.
BATHORY's career-spanning box set, "In Memory of Quorthon", was released in June 2006 via Black Mark. The package contained three CDs, one DVD, a book and a poster.
In a 2010 interview that Börje "Boss" Forsberg gave to Sweden Rock Magazine, he spoke openly about his son, how BATHORY came to be and all the unreleased BATHORY material that was still in the vaults. The magazine also published the last photo taken of Quorthon. This was all done with the blessing of Quorthon's family. 1

GENE SIMMONS And ACE FREHLEY Perform Together For First Time In 16 Years At 'The Children Matter' Benefit Concert (Video)Gene Simmons and his former KISS bandmate Ace Frehley performed together onstage for the first time in over sixteen years last night (Wednesday, September 20) at The Children Matter benefit concert to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The event at CHS Field Stadium in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota saw the two musicians sharing vocal duties for three classic KISS songs: "Parasite" from the 1974 album "Hotter Than Hell"; "Cold Gin" from KISS's self-titled 1974 debut; and "Shock Me" from 1977's "Love Gun".
Video footage of the reunion can be seen below (the clips were shot and uploaded by Mike Brunn).
All proceeds from The Children Matter benefit concert will be directed to the hurricane relief efforts of the nonprofit Matter. The nonprofit works in partnership with on-ground relief organizations to source and ship the items needed most, such as: Matterbox Meal Kits, sanitation and contamination prevention supplies and more to the children and families affected displaced by the hurricane.
The Children Matter is a collaborative initiative created by Simmons and the nonprofit Matter on the simple belief that the lives of children matter. Regardless of race, income, gender, religion, or location, every child deserves the same access to a full and healthy life.
Frehley told StarTribune that he approached Simmons about being a part of the St. Paul concert.
"I just did four shows on the East Coast, and I looked at my calendar and I noticed I was off today," Frehley said."I had to head back to San Diego eventually where I live, so I figured I could make a pit stop here. I called Gene, and he was really excited about me being involved, and it's that simple."
Ace recently collaborated with Gene on two songs for the former KISS guitarist's next solo album.
Rumors about Frehley's return to KISS gained strength last year after he teamed up with KISS lead singer Paul Stanley on a cover of FREE's "Fire And Water", marking their first collaboration since 1998's "Psycho Circus".
Frehley's version of "Fire And Water" appears on his covers collection "Origins, Vol 1", which received great reviews and landed in the Top 25 on the Billboard album chart.
Even though Frehley reached out to Simmons a couple of years about contributing to "Origins Vol. 1", the bassist/vocalist ended up not appearing on the record because "either [Gene] didn't get the message or he was just too busy," Frehley told the WPDH 101.5 FM radio station last year.
Stanley told Billboard earlier this year that he had no interest in a reunion of KISS's original lineup. 3

Listen To Previously Unreleased STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Song 'Only Dying'A previously unreleased STONE TEMPLE PILOTS song called "Only Dying", taken from the upcoming 25th-anniversary expanded reissue of the band's debut album, "Core", can be heard using the SoundCloud widget below. The track was demoed early in STP's career and the band had planned to re-record in 1994 for "The Crow" soundtrack. The idea was later scrapped after the star of the film, Brandon Lee, was killed during production.
"That song was a little bit of a different direction for us," bassist Robert DeLeo tells Rolling Stone. "It was based more off jazz-type chordings. As a songwriter, I wanted to spark people into different directions."
"I remember Scott [Weiland, vocals] really wanted to redo the song and quite honestly, the guitar tone we chose on that ... I don't know what I was thinking," guitarist Dean DeLeo says. "Maybe I was listening to too much Robert Smith or something. It's a song where I don't think we reached our full potential as songwriters quite yet. But honestly, it really is a beautiful song."
"We wrote it maybe nine months after Dean joined the band, and we recorded it in a studio in north Hollywood before we got signed," drummer Eric Kretz says. "It's cool to hear it now. You can hear all the STP elements in there. You could tell it needed to be reworked a little bit, but you can really hear Scott's voice taking on its character and the band delving into the sound of the guitar, the special effects and everything. It's a great early indicator of where the band was heading. It was trying to dig into our emotions."
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS roared on to the scene 25 years ago with "Core". A breakout success, the album peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts, dominated radio waves with hits like "Sex Type Thing" and "Wicked Garden", and has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA. The band also took home the 1994 Grammy Award for "Best Hard Rock Performance" for their smash single "Plush".
To mark the legendary album's silver anniversary, Rhino will release two versions on September 29, which is 25 years to the day of the album's original debut. The first is the "Core: Super Deluxe Edition" ($79.98), which includes four CDs featuring a newly remastered version of the original album, plus more than two hours of unreleased demos and live performances, including the band's performance on "MTV Unplugged". Also included is the original album on vinyl and a DVD that contains a 5.1 Surround Sound Mix of the album along with videos for the album's four singles. The set, limited to 15,000 copies worldwide, comes packaged in a richly detailed hardcover book (12 x 12) with rare and unseen photographs. The music from the Super Deluxe version will also be available via digital download and streaming services.
Fans can pre-order a limited edition bundle of the "Core: Super Deluxe Editon" at www.stonetemplepilots.com which includes a bonus replica 7-inch vinyl single of "Plush" that was originally released in the U.K. in 1993. This exclusive bundle is limited to 1,000 copies.
Also available on the same day is a 2-CD "Core: Deluxe Version" ($19.98) containing a newly remastered version of the original album expanded with rare b-sides and previously unreleased demos. A single disc remaster of the original album will be available as well.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS (guitarist Dean DeLeo, bassist Robert DeLeo, drummer Eric Kretz, and vocalist Scott Weiland) debuted with "Core" in the fall of 1992 and by the following summer were one of the biggest rock bands on the scene, powered by exhilarating live shows and a string of now-classic songs from the album, remastered here for the very first time.
Nearly all of the music on the second disc of both versions is making its commercial debut. Of the nine demos included, four were recorded between 1987 and 1990 when the band was known as MIGHTY JOE YOUNG. The disc also includes five unreleased demos from their original Atlantic sessions and concludes with four b-sides, including the jazzy "Swing Type Version" of "Sex Type Thing", as well as two acoustic versions of "Plush" — the "Acoustic Type Version" recorded with the full band and the rarely heard "first take" that was recorded by Weiland and Dean DeLeo for MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" in 1993.
The third disc contains two fiery live recordings from the summer of 1993, the first an unreleased performance at Castaic Lake Natural Amphitheater near Los Angeles and the second from the Reading Festival, making its U.S. debut here. These high-energy shows feature performances of all but two songs from "Core" as well as an early live version of "Lounge Fly", a song the band has just written a month earlier that would appear the following year on the band's second album, "Purple".
The band's iconic appearance on "MTV Unplugged", recorded in November 1993, gets its first official release on the final CD in the set. This would be their last performance in support of "Core" and includes reworked, acoustic versions of "Wicked Garden" and "Sex Type Thing", the debut performance of "Big Empty", which would later appear on "Purple", and a cover of David Bowie's "Andy Warhol".
"Core: Super Deluxe Edition" also features the original album pressed on vinyl, and a DVD that presents a 5.1 Surround Sound Mix of "Core" together will all four of the videos made for the album: "Sex Type Thing", "Plush", "Wicked Garden" and "Creep".

LETTERS FROM THE COLONY Signs With NUCLEAR BLASTBorlänge, Sweden-based progressive extreme metal architects LETTERS FROM THE COLONY have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast. The band is currently recording its debut album, "Vignette", for an early 2018 release. The disc will be mastered by Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, OPETH, PARADISE LOST, SEPULTURA and KREATOR, among others.
According to a press release, LETTERS FROM THE COLONY "builds upon the intersection between perfection and ordered chaos; the unbridled joy of experimentation and virtuosic instrument mastery. They deliver highly complex songs full of unbound aggression, progressive structures, but also do not shy away from playing saxophone alongside guitars or sampling the call of a deer into a track!"
"Vignette" is described as "the culmination of [LETTERS FROM THE COLONY's] struggles and hardships throughout its seven-year existence."
LETTERS FROM THE COLONY is:
Alexander Backlund - VocalsSebastian Svalland - GuitarJohan Jönsegård - GuitarEmil Östberg - BassJonas Sköld - Drums

ABYSMAL DAWN Signs With SEASON OF MISTSeason Of Mist has announced the signing of ABYSMAL DAWN. The Californian extreme metal stalwarts will release their fifth album in 2018.
ABYSMAL DAWN comment: "We're very happy to be signed to such an awesome and respected label like Season Of Mist. The people there are all die-hard metalheads and we're glad to be a part of such an enthusiastic and strong team. We also have a long-standing friendship with U.S. label manager Gordon Conrad, who originally signed us. Working with Gordon, Michael, and the other amazing people at the label was just a no-brainer. We're very excited about the future of ABYSMAL DAWN these days, and judging by the new material that we've been working on, some great things are to come soon enough."
ABYSMAL DAWN's fourth full-length album, "Obsolescence", was released in October 2014 via Relapse.
ABYSMAL DAWN strikes the perfect balance between extreme songwriting and exceptional skill with an infectious blend of technical-yet-memorable riffs, throat-shredding vocals, and crushing rhythms delivered with machine-gun precision.

PAPA ROACH's JERRY HORTON Teaches You How To Play 'Last Resort' On GuitarJerry Horton stopped by Rock Antenne before PAPA ROACH's concert in Munich, Germany and recorded a "School Of Rock" video in which he teaches you how to play the band's classic song "Last Resort" on guitar. Check out the clip below.
PAPA ROACH has spent the last few months touring in support of its ninth studio album, "Crooked Teeth", which was released on May 19 via Eleven Seven Music.
Written and recorded in a cramped North Hollywood studio, "Crooked Teeth" was produced by first timers Nicholas "RAS" Furlong and Colin Brittain, with the exception of "Born For Greatness", which saw the band collaborate with writer/producer Jason Evigan (Jason Derulo, Demi Lovato, Zedd, MAROON 5) for this positive, pulsating anthem. Furlong and Brittain, who grew up listening to PAPA ROACH, inspired the band to revisit some of the traits that personally endeared the band to them, most notably singer Jacoby Shaddix's remarkable rapping technique and the band's intense live energy. 2

SATYRICON: 'Deep Calleth Upon Deep' Record-Release Concert To Be Streamed LiveNorwegian black metallers SATYRICON will celebrate the release of their ninth studio album, "Deep Calleth Upon Deep", with an exclusive and very special show this Friday, September 22 — on the rooftop of the KLP building in the heart of Oslo!
Three hundred fans will experience SATYRICON in person at this very special event, but the concert will also be streamed live to fans around the world via the band's Facebook page beginning at 9:00 p.m. CEST.
"I always thought THE BEATLES gig on top of the Apple building in London, 1969 was such an intriguing thing and it really feels like a privilege to be able to do something like this ourselves," SATYRICON vocalist Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven said. "In our hometown too! Since this is to celebrate the release of 'Deep Calleth Upon Deep', we don't want to exclude those who can't be there with us that night, so I'm glad it's being streamed worldwide. We'll play the whole record and we'll do it in style!"
"Deep Calleth Upon Deep" will be released on September 22 via Napalm Records. The disc was recorded in Oslo, Norway and Vancouver, Canada, during early 2017 and mixed together with revered studio guru Mike Fraser (who previously worked on SATYRICON's 2006 album, "Now, Diabolical").
The "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" front cover is an obscure drawing from 1898 by perhaps the greatest Norwegian artist of all time, Edvard Munch. 4

FRANK ZAPPA Hologram Tour Coming Next YearEyellusion, live music's premier hologram production company, today announced that it will work closely with the Zappa Family Trust to produce hologram performances of Frank Zappa, giving fans an opportunity to experience the prolific, eclectic and critically acclaimed music legend live in concert again. Production for the Zappa shows will kick off in late 2017, with performances announced later in 2018.
"I'm thrilled that Frank Zappa will finally be going back out on tour playing his most well-known music as well as some rare and unheard material," said Ahmet Zappa, co-trustee of the Zappa Family Trust. "We can't wait to bring his creative work back to the stage with the musicians he loved to play with, such as Steve Vai, Ian Underwood, Adrian Belew, Arthur Barrow, Vinnie Colaiuta, Scott Thunes, Mike Keneally, Denny Walley, Warren Cuccurullo and Napoleon Murphy Brock, among others, who are committed to being part of this epic endeavor. When I spoke with them, they were excited at the prospect of performing alongside Frank once again and can't wait to give fans an unforgettable experience."
He continued: "Also, how radical would it be to have Moon singing 'Valley Girl' onstage with Frank? Or to see Dweezil side by side with our father playing dueling guitar solos? That would be my greatest wish and I look forward to bringing this special celebration of Frank's legacy to a town near you. But if that wasn't enough Zappa coolness, we're also planning on staging 'Joe's Garage The Musical' with none other than Frank Zappa himself starring as the Central Scrutinizer."
"Frank was an innovator and his art transcended so many different mediums," said Diva Zappa, co-trustee of the Zappa Family Trust. "He left behind such an extensive body of work and we want to celebrate his music with really creative and unique live hologram productions that will introduce his music to a new generation of fans and let so many that enjoyed his music when he was alive experience it again. We have had this idea for many years and after meeting with the team at Eyellusion, we knew that they were the right partner to make it a reality."
"We work closely with the Zappa family on their various projects, and look forward to sharing new Frank Zappa performances with his longtime fans, as well as expanding his audience to give new fans the opportunity to share in that experience" adds Bruce Resnikoff, president and CEO, Universal Music Enterprises.
"We are thrilled to welcome such a monumental and important artist to our lineup of planned live music hologram productions," said Jeff Pezzuti, CEO, Eyellusion, which is also responsible for creating the hologram of late heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio. "Frank Zappa was an incredible musician, unmatched in his output, tackled so many different genres and influenced a generation of artists that would go on to help further shape rock and pop for decades to come. We are music lovers first and can't wait to get to work on yet another show that lets fans experience such timeless and important music in a live concert setting."
Stay tuned for tour dates and further lineup announcements. 7
