DICHOTOMY Release Debut Album; Post New Song ‘No Catharsis’
 Irish melodic tech death quintet DICHOTOMY has recently posted a new song 'No Catharsis' following the release of debut album Paradigms last week.
The band hailing from Dublin, Ireland draw influences from bands such as DEATH, NECROPHAGIST, GOJIRA and OPETH and was formed in 2010 by guitarists Andy Kealy and Rats with a mind to combine the technicality of death metal with the groove and musicality of other genres. After establishing a lineup in 2010 the band began writing material under the name Dichotomy to suitably describe the contrasting styles used in the music. Summer 2012 bore the fruits of their hard labor as the band took up residence at the world renowned Westland Studios in Dublin to record Paradigms with producer Alwyn Walker.
"Paradigms (are) about a multiple of things." comments lead guitarist Steven 'Rats' Rahaman. "The five of us wanted to get together and write music that we would be happy to listen to ourselves. We all individually have a varied taste in music and style so the music we created had allot of contrast so the name Dichotomy was chosen. The lyrics themselves in Paradigms create a collection of dichotomies. So in a nutshell you could say that Paradigms is about the band name which is about the music."

SOILENT GREEN/CROWBAR Drummer Undergoes Prostatectomy
 On August 13, SOILENT GREEN/CROWBAR drummer Tommy Buckley underwent a prostatectomy (an operation to remove the prostate gland and some of the tissue around it) after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. According to a posting on the SOILENT GREEN Facebook page, "The cancer was in a small part in his prostate but doctor suggested the total removal to prevent the spreading of cancerous cells. He is doing great with the love and care of his family and friends. Lisa D. Ryder, Tommy's girlfriend, gets a special blessing for being so wonderful to him. She has been an angel. He is in her care right now.
"Tommy got his staples taken out today and should have catheter out in two weeks.
"Tommy decided that he wanted to go public with his surgery to let people be aware of the importance of prostate health. He is ready to play [as soon as possible]!! We ask that you keep him in your prayers!!! He will beat this..."

CLERIC To Release Debut Album In September
 Dallas death metal battalion CLERIC will release their debut LP, Gratum Inferno, through their local cohorts Tofu Carnage Records on September 26th.
According to a press release: “Formed by members of KILL THE CLIENT, BARING TEETH, and TYRANNOSORCERESS, Cleric fuses their old-school death metal aggressive tendencies here into a relentless attack, which their Gratum Inferno LP attempts to capture in full-force. Recorded by Garry Brents (Kill The Client, PHOBIA, NOISEAR) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (FROM ASHES RISE, NAILS, SLEEP), Gratum Inferno boasts nearly a half-hour of grating, Stockholm-bred but Americanized death through seven hymns of debauchery, bizarre, haunting and horror-soundtrack elements permeating from deep within its hellish core. The platter is being pressed on 200-gram, translucent yellow wax with blood red and milky clear splatter and features heavyweight spot-varnish printed jackets, gold foil-stamped inner-sleeve graphics, was mastered at 45rpm for superior sound quality, and bears insane cover art was masterminded by Jason Barnett (NOOTHGRUSH).”

PAGANUS DOCTRINA Release Debut Album
 Costa Rican veterans PAGANUS DOCTRINA, who have been around since 1994 and gained much respect during the 90s with their insane Natural Inbio De Paganismo, have finally released their full-length debut album.
A press release describes the album: “Rooted in the typical South American way of creating violent and chaotic black/death metal, Omnipotense Aeternae Diabolous also incorporates melodic guitar leads, complex songwriting, eerie interludes and insane vocals to invoke an epic and occult luciferian atmosphere.”
The album was recorded from February 2011 to July 2012 at Cavan Studios, Costa Rica and recorded and Mastered by Max Gutierrez (ADVENT OF BEDLAM).

THE RUINS OF BEVERAST To Release New Album In Late Summer
 German black metal act THE RUINS OF BEVERAST will unveil its massive fourth LP late this summer; an album which vows to prove itself as one of the most ambitious and unrestrained releases under the cape of black metal to see release all year.
The solo project of one Meilenwald, the infamously devastating drummer and one of the chief songwriters for now defunct legion NAGELFAR, in addition to drummer for TRUPPENSTURM, ABUSUS, VERDUNKELN and more, The Ruins Of Beverast originated in 2003, and with each release has pummeled underground audiences with an epic, wholly original style of massive, mesmerizing, and malicious black metal artistry.
A press release describes the album: “After a four-year wait, and celebrating the act's ten-year mark in 2013, the newest works from The Ruins Of Beverast are nearing public availability with the pending release of Blood Vaults -- The Blazing Gospel Of Heinrich Kramer (Cryptae Sanguinum -- Evangelium Flagrans Henrici Institoris). VENGEANCE - New Album Piece Of Cake To Be Released In October; Details Revealed
 Dutch rock band VENGEANCE have announced the release of their latest album Piece Of Cake:
"People can expect what to my ears is the best Vengeance album to date,” declares guitarist Timo Somers. "Tthe songs are a nice blend of old school Vengeance (think Arabia) and some more modern sounding songs. This time the instrumental side of the band is really outspoken, it features a lot of nice intros, solos and instrumental pieces. And to top it off, Leon sounds better than ever."
Somers promises eleven gripping new compositions: "'Raintime' is the fastest song on the album. The song kind of sounds like an YNGWIE MALMSTEEN song with Leon on vocals. Double bass, big chorus and a fast guitar solo are the keywords."
The most typical song is the title track 'Piece Of Cake'. Somers comments: "We needed a party song for the album and we wrote this together in about an hour in the studio. It`s this typical AC/DC thing with Leon going nuts and some VAN HALEN like guitars."
The most unusual song is 'Back To Square One', a blues rock ballad in the vein of GARY MOORE. "I don’t think a lot of people know this side of Vengeance,” Somers suggests, “but it showcases our more soulful side."
Piece Of Cake will be released on October 28th in Germany and November 5th in North America via SPV. They will hit the road in Europe with labelmates MAD MAX in November. Dates are as follows:

SEEKER Signs With Victory Records; Recording New Album
 The end of muted metal has arrived in the form of one of Victory’s latest signings, Texas death metal band, SEEKER.
A press release describes the band: “Forming from the remnants of various metal bands in the area, Seeker officially began in the fall of 2011, destroying local venues with their impossibly quick solos and bone-crushing drums. BROKEN & BURNT Release Video ‘Stolen’
 ‘Stolen’, a new video from the Brazilian alcoholic groove metal band BROKEN & BURNT was released. The song will be featured in Stolen / Unsober, a split EP that the band will release this month along with BLACKSLUG. This follow up to 2012's Let The Burning Begin album will feature three tracks of each band and will be available for download soon.
The band members commented about the video: "The idea behind it is simple, exactly what you guys are seeing, a ‘do-it-yourself’ style! We got videos that friends recorded in our gigs and that are it! It shows a bit of our concerts and us in studio".

 Norwegian grindcore innovators BEATEN TO DEATH will unleash their sophomore studio album on October 4th via Mas-Kina Recordings. Entitled Dødsfest!, the 12-track follow up to the band’s 2011 debut, Xes & Strokes, was recorded in total of six days at their rehearsal room and continues to carry Beaten To Death’s incredibly irreverent edge, boasting a twisted blend of quirky, but captivating melodies with some abrasive and cranium-smashing brutality. BURY TOMORROW Release 'Sceptres' Music Video
 Following their crushing set at Download Festival this year, the BURY TOMORROW lads have decided to share their experience with fans by using footage shot from their set to create an official video for the track 'Sceptres'.
Commenting on the video, bassist Davyd stated: "Download was such an amazing experience for us that we wanted to share it with everyone who couldn't make it to see our set. I hope everyone has half as much fun watching it as we did playing it, team BT forever".
