OSI - \'Fire Make Thunder\' Album Sampler als Stream online!
 "Fire Make Thunder" nennt sich das vierte Album des konspirativen Duos, besser bekannt als OSI. Die Veröffentlichung steht für den 27. März via Metal Blade Records an. Aufgenommen wurde ganz lauschig zuhause, ausgenommen das Schlagzeug, welches in London eingespielt wurde. Gemischt wurde im Sound Farm Studio & Recording Environment von Matt Sepanic in Jamaica, Iowa. Das Mastering übernahm Roger Siebel. Produziert haben die beiden Protagonisten selbst. Jetzt wurde von Metal Blade Records ein "Fire Make Thunder" Sampler hier auf Soundcloud online gestellt.

EPICA: Fan-Filmed Video Footage Of Entire Tilburg CD-Release Concert
 A CD-release party for "Requiem For The Indifferent", the fifth full-length album from Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers EPICA, was held last night (Friday, March 16) at 013 in Tilburg, Netherlands. EPICA played the new album in its entirety, along with some older tracks, during the more-than-two-hour event. Pyrotechnics and special show elements were added as well.
Fan-filmed video footage of the entire 013 concert can be seen in two parts below.
"Requiem For The Indifferent" was released on March 9 in Europe and four days later in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany under the watchful eye of Sascha Paeth.
A video for "Storm The Sorrow" was filmed last month and it "will show the band in a way you have never seen before," according to a press release.

More than ever we will need each other to overcome these problems. As we are all connected; the universe, earth, nature, animals and human beings, this period in time will be the prelude to the end for those who still don't want to, or simply won't see it. 'A Requiem For The Indifferent', but also a possibility for a new beginning with great new chances!"

MINOTAURO: 'The Day Of Redemption' Video Released
 "The Day Of Redemption", the new video from the Italian symphonic power metal band MINOTAURO, can be seen below. The song is the title track of the group's forthcoming debut album, which was mixed and mastered by Achim Köhler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN, PRIMAL FEAR). The CD features guest appearances by Göran Edman (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, JOHN NORUM, STREET TALK, KARMAKANIC) from Sweden, Tom Naumann (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER) from Germany and the guitar virtuoso and session musician Bor Zuljan (SANK ROCK) from Slovenia.
MINOTAURO is a symphonic power metal band featuring musicians from Italy, Croatia and Slovenia. Its sound incorporates elements of classical music and film scores. The band was formed in 2010 in Trieste, Italy by guitarist and songwriter Roko Smajlagic, joined by his friend and bass player from Croatia, Davor Pavelic, from their previous band HEAT. They then recruited drummer Emanuele Petrucci, guitarist Peter Pahor and keyboard player Ales Lavric. During the recordings of the "The Day Of Redemption" album, Italian metal singer Rudy Berginc joined the fold and MINOTAURO's lineup was completed.

SEBASTIAN BACH Performs With GUNS N' ROSES In Hollywood (Video)
 Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach joined GUNS N' ROSES on stage this past Monday night (March 12) at the House of Blues Sunset in West Hollywood, California to perform the song "My Michelle". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.
In addition to sole original member Axl Rose, the current lineup of GUNS N' ROSES includes guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Richard Fortus and DJ Ashba, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer.
"Chinese Democracy", the 2008 album released by the current edition of GUNS N' ROSES after a 15-year wait, was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies. The long-in-the-making, 14-song CD finally arrived 17 years after the last full-length collections of original GUNS material, "Use Your Illusion I" and "II", were released, and nine years after the non-album track "Oh My God" surfaced on the soundtrack of the movie "End Of Days".
"Chinese Democracy" was made available exclusively through Best Buy.
The original five-piece group, along with drummer Matt Sorum and keyboardist Dizzy Reed, will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland on April 14.

VAN HALEN continues to roll out a selection of rare tracks, none of which have been played live since at least the early Eighties, on the band's current North American tour. According to The Pulse Of Radio , the latest gem to be dusted off is "Hang 'Em High" , from 1982's "Diver Down" album, which was given its first airing since probably 1983 last Sunday night (March 11) in Boston. Lead singer David Lee Roth noted the occasion by telling the audience, "That's the first time we've played that in forever."
The band began unearthing the deep cuts right from the start of the tour last month, and so far audiences have heard tracks like "Hear About It Later" from 1981's "Fair Warning" , "The Full Bug" from "Diver Down" , "Girl Gone Bad" from 1984, plus "Women In Love" and "Outta Love Again" , both from "Van Halen II" .
Almost none of these songs have been performed by VAN HALEN since the initial tour for each of their respective albums.
According to online postings, "Take Your Whiskey Home" from "Women And Children First" is a popular choice among fans for the group to dig out next, along with "Fair Warning" cuts "Dirty Movies" and "Push Comes To Shove" , neither of which have ever been performed live.
VAN HALEN is on the road behind "A Different Kind Of Truth" , its first album with Roth in 28 years.

NERVGIFT To Enter Studio Next Weekend
 NERVGIFT ("Nerve-Venom" in Swedish), the new Örebro, Sweden-based punk/metal band featuring bassist/guitarist Oskar Pålsson (COLDWORKER), vocalist Calle Henriksson (KVOTERINGEN) and drummer Andreas Gustavsson (OND BRÅD DÖD), will enter the studio next weekend to make its first recording. According to the group, "Four songs will be put on tape" during the sessions. The band adds, "We will do a final (and third ever) rehearsal this week to adjust some final details."

THE PRESTIGE: 'The Truth' Video Released
 "The Truth", the new video from France's THE PRESTIGE, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's debut album, "Black Mouths", which will be released on April 3 through Basement Apes Industries, Brain Ache, Enjoyment Records and Tangled Talk.
Recorded in two weeks in an old chapel in Laval (Normandy, France) with producer Guyom Pavesi (HEADCHARGER, DIE ON MONDAY, ANATHEMA) assisted by Amaury Sauvé (BIRDS IN ROW, COMITY, AS WE DRAW), "Black Mouths" is set outside the usual recording frame and with a strong live atmosphere. "We wanted the album to sound as if the listener was standing in the middle of the room and was part of the music," says singer and guitarist Alex. "So we just plugged, played and pushed the red button." The recording lasted 2 weeks and some new arrangements were added to the tracks to get a more intense indie rock sound: 1970s mellotron, Wurlitzer keyboard, detuned pianos, organs.
"Black Mouths" is the first time the band works with a foreign producer as they went to Stockholm, Sweden to mix with well-known Magnus Lindberg (CULT OF LUNA, REFUSED, POISON THE WELL). As guitarist Raphael tells it, "Giving your album to mix is like giving your baby, you need to find the person that will understand what you mean and expect."
"We never tried nor intend to fit in one particular genre. The main goal is to be honest and true to ourselves, and to have a shit load of fun," says drummer Thibaut.
Formed in 2009 out of the ashes of the French metalcore band DRAFTDOWN, THE PRESTIGE is described in a press release as "a high-energy quartet from Paris, which plays a mix between (post-)chaotic hardcore, intense punk, metal and rock under constant injection of adrenaline. [The group will appeal to] fans of CONVERGE, EVERY TIME I DIE, THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND, NORMA JEAN and TOUCHÉ AMORÉ."

SHINEDOWN On WAAF's 'The Hill-Man Morning Show': Video Interview, Acoustic Performance
 SHINEDOWN vocalist Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers took part in an interview and acoustic performance on this past Friday's (March 16) edition of "The Hill-Man Morning Show" on Boston's radio station WAAF. You can now watch video footage of their appearance below.
Brent Smith told The Pulse Of Radio on Wednesday (March 14) that the release of SHIINEDOWN's fourth album, "Amaryllis", on March 27 will be accompanied by an e-book called "For Your Sake: Inside The Making Of Amaryllis", which Smith described as the first of its kind in the music industry. The "completely interactive" e-book will feature commentary, video footage and other content.
Smith told The Pulse Of Radio more about the concept behind the e-book. "Back in the day, like when you used to go in and buy records, for people that are a little bit more digital consumers, this e-book is something that brings you back to that element of getting a record and then going inside of it," he said. "But it's really going inside of our minds, you know, during the making of the record, and there's so many different storylines inside of all the different aspects of the making of the record. It's a doorway into the mind of all of us."
Smith did not say whether the e-book would come with the "Amaryllis" CD or would be available as a separate download or purchase.
Two songs and videos have already been released off "Amaryllis": "Bully" and "Unity". "Bully" is currently No. 1 on the rock radio chart.
SHINEDOWN will lead the 2012 edition of the Avalanche Tour, which kicks off on March 27 in Anaheim, California, with ADELITAS WAY, NEW MEDICINE and ART OF DYING also on the bill.

MINISTRY - Neue Tracks online!!
 MINISTRY Mastermind Al Jourgensen gab in einem Interview bekannt, dass nach der Veröffentlichung des Comeback Albums "Relapse" am 23. März und der darauf folgenden Tour auch schon wieder Schluss sei. Für die Aufnahme dieses letzten Albums zeichnet sich Gitarrist Mike Scaccia verantwortlich der Al Jourgensen dazu überreden konnte.
Folgendes Statement von Al Jourgensen: "Ich bin froh es gemacht zu haben und ich bin froh, dass Mikey mich dazu überredet hat“. Außerdem haben MINISTRY Fans nicht zu befürchten, dass das neue Album von Al Jourgensens Heavy Western-Nebenprojekt BUCK SATAN AND THE 666 SHOOTERS beeinflusst wurde. "Es ist ein ziemlich cooles Album und es wird nicht einen einzigen MINISTRY Fan oder Hardcore-Fan enttäuschen".
Mit "99 Percenters" und "Double Tap" sind die beiden vorab aus dem neuen MINISTRY Album "Relapse" ausgekoppelten Singles nun zum Streamen verfügbar. Ex-GN'R Guitarist SLASH On ROCK HALL Induction: I Have No Idea What's Going To Happen That Day
 Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash spoke to the Associated Press about the band's upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. You can check out a short video report below.
The 27th annual ceremony will be held on April 14, 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio, home to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum. Also scheduled to be inducted are RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, BEASTIE BOYS, THE SMALL FACES/FACES, Donovan and Laura Nyro. Freddie King well enter the Hall Of Fame as an Early Influence, while the late producer and TV host Don Kirshner will receive the Ahmet Ertegun (nonperformer) Award and producers Cosimo Matassa, Tom Dowd and Glyn Johns will receive the Award For Musical Excellence.
The ceremony will be taped for broadcast by HBO, which plans to air it in early May.
When asked if fans can expect to see a performance by the reunited classic lineup of GUNS N' ROSES at the induction ceremony, Slash said, "It's definitely an honor and I have no idea what's going to happen on that day. It's hard for me to even… I'm not really necessarily anticipating anything in particular. It's on the 14th and I'll go down there and see what happens. With all this, sort of, lack of unity on the subject, it's hard to really look forward to it, 'cause I don't know what to anticipate. So it's more like going into it with blinders on and just see what happens."
The 46-year-old guitarist also spoke about his favorite memories as a member of GUNS N' ROSES — recording the band's debut album, "Appetite For Destruction", and touring behind it.
"The first tour, all that stuff, was really a great experience," he said. "I was in my early twenties and it was just a great adventure. [Laughs] So that was all a lot of fun, and then it got crazy in the '90s and obviously when I left the band or parted ways with the whole thing." He added, "[It's been] 25 years since the album came out — [it] doesn't seem like a long time ago, but at the same time ... so much has happened in that time."
Ex-GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan told RollingStone.com that there has been "no communication" about the original members of the band performing together when the group is inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Asked if he knew what was going to happen at the ceremony, McKagan answered, "I don't. I know I'm going to go. I can't, at all, speak for anybody else. And won't. I'll be there with bells on." But he added, "There's been no communication about anyone playing. There was probably a day in the mid-1990s where I would have tried to gather the troops, but I'm just not that guy anymore. It's too frustrating to change anyone else . . . I'm not even sure I'd want to change how anyone else sees a situation."
On whether he hoped that the original lineup would perform together at the event, McKagan said, "I think it would be killer. Do I hope to? That's a tricky question. It would be awesome. You have those day dreams like, 'We'll go up and play 'Nightrain' and 'Brownstone' and throw down the microphone and drop off! That'll be killer!' But I doubt that'll happen."
McKagan, singer Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, and drummer Steven Adler will all be inducted into the Hall, along with later members, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and drummer Matt Sorum.
The biggest question concerning a reunion revolves around whether Rose would be willing to perform alongside Slash. The two have not spoken in years and Rose continues to hold a hostile stance toward his former bandmate. | 0 | |

THE CROWN: New Album Update
 Reactivated Swedish death/thrash metallers THE CROWN will play their first concert with returning vocalist Johan Lindstrand, on May 5 at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, Sweden. This will mark the band's first appearance in Gothenburg in 12 years and will likely be the group's only show in Sweden this year.
THE CROWN is currently writing material for a new studio album, tentatively due late 2012 via Century Media Records.
Commented Lindstrand: "We do have plenty of songs to fill a whole album.
"We have rehearsed on 5-6 songs now and they sound truly amazing. [They contain] a lot of variation, for sure, but with a pretty visible red line through it all.
"There's still a couple of songs left to start messing with and a lot of lyrics to be written, but you can definitely begin to see an album getting formed and shaped into a real classic.
"There's no date set for entering the studio but Marko [Tervonen, guitar] will handle the engineering and mixing and there's no doubt that he will create a killer sound.
"We're all very excited and we wanna start recording right now, but, as I've said before, there's no room for mistakes. There's only room for death fucking metal in the best possible way, so therefore we will not rush anything."

NEW EDEN - Infos zum neuen Album \'Solving For X\'!
 Bereits 1993 von Steel Prophet-Gitarrist Horacio Colmenares in Los Angeles gegründet, brachten es NEW EDEN bisher auf drei Alben. In früheren Tagen gaben sich bereits einige bekannte Sänger des US Metal-Genres die Klinke in die Hand, sodass sich im Line-Up schon Helstar-Sirene James Rivera, Steel Prophet-Fronter Rick Mythiasin (der auch das bisher letzte Studioalbum „Stagnant Procession“ von 2003 einsang) und Michael Grant (Crescent Shield) befanden.
Auf ihrem neuen Longplayer "Solving For X", der Auftakt bei Pure Steel, haben sie sich trotz einer Vergangenheit mit hochrangigen US Metal-Musikern eher melodischen Power Metal mitsamt einer fetten Doublebass-Wand auf die Fahnen geschrieben. Das Quartett fährt somit eine eher bombastischere, europäische Ausrichtung auf und bietet elf aktuelle Nummern mit einer wuchtigen, zeitgemäßen Produktion, ohne dass darunter das traditionelle Songwriting leiden muss. Das sehr kraftvolle und ausdrucksstarke Organ des neuen Sängers Rod Arias steht außerdem zu keiner Sekunde im Schatten seiner Vorgänger. Zusammen sorgt das alles für eine gute Dreiviertelstunde kurzweiligen, klischeefreien und anspruchsvollen Metal, auch wenn die ruhige, getragene Abschiedsnummer (Three Words) etwas aus dem Rahmen fällt.
Tatsache ist: Mit "Solving For X" liefern NEW EDEN ein Prachtwerk melodischer Power Metal-Kunst ab, das einfach jeder Genrefreund lieben wird! "Solving For X" kommt am 30. März 2012 via Pure Steel Records in den Handel!

MANOWAR's JOEY DEMAIO: 'We Constantly Live The Life Of True Metal'
 MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio was interviewed by Metalhead TV after yesterday's (Friday, March 16) press conference in Bucharest, Romania where Joey and promoter Sorin Sararu of Project Events announced the band's headlining performance at OST Fest 2012, set to take place June 15-17 place at the Zone Arena in Bucharest. You can now watch the chat below. A couple of excerpts follow.
On the upcoming MANOWAR album:
DeMaio: "It's going to fry the hair on your balls — there's no doubt. . . . Everybody's gonna like it. There's gonna be something on the record for everybody — fast songs, slow songs, powerful songs, craziness…"
On how MANOWAR's sound has changed over the years:
DeMaio: "I wouldn't say 'change' — I would say that we evolve constantly. We try to do better, we try to update all of our equipment, use the newest technology, and be aware that you could always improve the quality of your performances, live and in the studio. And that's what we do. We constantly live the life of true metal."
On whether MANOWAR keeps its message in line with the times we live in:
DeMaio: "We haven't changed the message. The message is rock, drink, fuck, play true metal, be a righteous person. You know, the golden rule — treat others the way you want them to treat you. Respect people, but have a good fucking time. And as long as you're not bothering anybody else, live your life, be free — go fucking crazy."
MANOWAR's appearance at OST Fest 2012 is scheduled for June 16. Also confirmed for the three-day event are MÖTLEY CRÜE, MOTÖRHEAD, DIMMU BORGIR, EUROPE, MEGADETH and OVERKILL, among others.
During the press conference, Sararu revealed that the new MANOWAR album will be released on June 16. In addition, he said that the first 5,000 people that purchase a ticket to MANOWAR's appearance at OST Fest via Biletoo.ro will be able to download the CD for free on June 1.
Said DeMaio: "I know that a lot of people don't wanna wait another five years for a MANOWAR record, but we hope that people are gonna think that it was worth waiting the time. Because, you know, you go to a restaurant and you order dinner, if the waiter walks in the kitchen and comes back out two seconds later and puts the dinner on the table, I really don't know what you're gonna get. Every now and then I like McDonald's, too — it doesn't mean something fast is not good — but we're not a fast-food restaurant with MANOWAR. We think it's quality, so we hope you're gonna feel the same way."

 The self-titled debut album from KILL DEVIL HILL — the band featuring Vinny Appice (HEAVEN & HELL, BLACK SABBATH, DIO) on drums, Rex Brown (PANTERA, DOWN) on bass, Mark Zavon (RATT, W.A.S.P., 40 CYCLE HUM) on guitar and Jason "Dewey" Bragg (PISSING RAZORS) on vocals — has had its release date pushed back to late spring from the previously announced March 27.
Commented the group: "Don't worry, all, the CD will be out this year (hopefully May). We are just waiting for a final release date since we had to record another track at the last minute. It was decided that a song that was to be a bonus track might be released as a single, so in order to include that song on the CD we needed an additional track to include as a bonus in its place. Can't wait for you guys to hear it!"
"Kill Devil Hill" was produced by Warren Riker, who is best known for his work with DOWN, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, SUBLIME and CATHEDRAL. The effort will be available in a standard CD edition, as an iTunes digital download, and double gatefold LP.

According to Appice, KILL DEVIL HILL's sound is "like a cross between BLACK SABBATH, ALICE IN CHAINS and a little bit of LED ZEPPELIN thrown in. It's heavy, but with a lot of cool hooks and melodic overtones, too."

WITHIN THE RUINS Preparing To Enter Studio
 Westfield, Massachusetts metallers WITHIN THE RUINS will enter the studio at the end of this month to record their new album, due this summer via Victory Records. The group will record in White Lake, Michigan with producer/engineer Joshua Wickman, who previously worked with WITHIN THE RUINS on 2010's "Invade" CD.
Commented WITHIN THE RUINS guitarist Joe Cocchi: "We have a good amount of new material to finish working with while we're home for the month. Lots of work left, but we're definitely stoked on the music we've come up with so far — this material is unlike anything else we've released. Stay tuned for pre-production and studio videos soon!"

CATALEPSY Members Launch EXOTYPE
 Members of Florida's CATALEPSY have formed a new band called EXOTYPE, which combines the elements of metal, hardcore, dubstep and electronica.
According to the group's official bio, EXOTYPE's sound is characterized by "heavily detuned guitars," "pulsing dubstep drops laced with cybernetic synths" and "thought-provoking lyrics and infectious, anthem-like choruses. These unique elements collide in a aural car crash of sorts, leaving the listener with a riveting musical experience that will undoubtedly have them coming back for more."
EXOTYPE is currently working material for its debut album.

'Norwegian Black Metal - Part One': Oslo Exhibition To Open This Month
 From March 29 through April 29, you can experience the exhibition "Norwegian Black Metal - Part One" at Popsenteret in Oslo, Norway. The exhibition is curated by Neseblod Records. You will find rarities, posters and exclusive video material from the early history of Norwegian black metal, with main focus on DARKTHRONE, MAYHEM and BURZUM. A highlight of the exhibition is the screening of never-before-seen video material by OLD FUNERAL.
During this year's edition of the Inferno festival (April 5-7) Jon Kristiansen (a.k.a. Metalion) will personally present parts of his own metal fanzine Slayer. He will also show pictures from his career as a photographer.
The "Norwegian Black Metal - Part One" exhibition will have its official opening on Thursday, March 29 at 6 p.m.

METALLICA's LARS ULRICH In HBO's 'Hemingway & Gellhorn'; Trailer Available
 A trailer for "Hemingway & Gellhorn", the HBO drama featuring METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich, can be seen below. (Note: Lars can be seen briefly around the 38-second mark.) The film, also starring Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen, is described as "a drama centered on the romance between Ernest Hemingway and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn, Hemingway's inspiration for "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and the only woman who ever asked for a divorce from the writer." Ulrich plays Dutch documentarian Joris Ivens in the TV movie.

This is Ulrich's first substantial role in a feature film after making a cameo as himself in 2010's Russell Brand comedy "Get Him To The Greek". He also appeared in the 2004 documentary about METALLICA, "Some Kind Of Monster".
When asked about acting in "Get Him to the Greek", Lars said in a 2010 interview, "It was so much fun. I mean, they sent the script and I learned my lines. And when I showed up on the set, none of it mattered — they just took the script and threw it away. We were just improvising and having fun and insulting each other, and it was a great time. Russell, obviously, is a stand-up comedian, first and foremost, or at least he started as a stand-up comedian, so it's all just improvising."
"Hemingway & Gellhorn" is scheduled to premiere on May 28 at 9:00 p.m.

 NEGURA BUNGET drummer Negru's folk project DIN BRAD will releae its long-awaited debut album, "Dor", via Prophecy Productions on the following dates:

"Dor" is composed out of two distinct elements: On one side there are authentic Romanian traditional songs, sung by local performers and recorded in their original environment. On the other side there are some personal visions and reinterpretations of Romanian traditional music, performed and recorded in the studio. Both are fused together by the same unifying feeling. While the first part is the result of years of DIN BRAD's investigations into what is still alive today from the Romanian musical and spiritual ancestral traditions, the second part is a personal expression influenced by understanding and living on the lands that gave birth to the musicians.
"Dor" can now be pre-ordered as digipak CD and strictly limited collector's edition (digipak CD wrapped up in hamp cloth and tied up with a hamp rope, including a handnumbered certificate, limited to 150 copies).

'DEATH To All Tour 2012' Dates Announced
 Sick Drummer Magazine and Perseverance Holdings Ltd. have announced the "Death To All Tour 2012" in benefit of Sweet Relief. This five-city tour will feature a majority of DEATH's amazing musicians, as well as special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.
This tour will kick off in San Francisco, California and work its way to Orlando, Florida — stopping in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York along the way.
The drums will be handled by Gene Hoglan ("Individual Thought Patterns", "Symbolic") and Sean Reinert ("Human"). On bass will be Steve DiGiorgio ("Human", "Individual Thought Patterns") and Scott Clendenin ("The Sound Of Perseverance"). Guitar duties will be shared by Paul Masvidal ("Human"), Shannon Hamm ("The Sound of Perseverance") and Bobby Koelble ("Symbolic").

MANOWAR's DEMAIO On Delay In Releasing New Album: 'We're Not A Fast-Food Restaurant'
 Earlier today at a press conference in Bucharest, Romania, MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio and promoter Sorin Sararu of Project Events announced the band's headlining performance at OST Fest 2012, set to take place June 15-17 place at the Zone Arena in Bucharest. MANOWAR is scheduled to perform on June 16. Also confirmed for the three-day event are MÖTLEY CRÜE, MOTÖRHEAD, DIMMU BORGIR, EUROPE, MEGADETH and OVERKILL, among others.
During the press conference, Sararu revealed that the new MANOWAR album will be released on June 16. In addition, he said that the first 5,000 people that purchase a ticket to MANOWAR's appearance at OST Fest via Biletoo.ro will be available to download the band's new album for free on June 1.
Said DeMaio: "I know that a lot of people don't wanna wait another five years for a MANOWAR record, but we hope that people are gonna think that it was worth waiting the time. Because, you know, you go to a restaurant and you order dinner, if the waiter walks in the kitchen and comes back out two seconds later and puts the dinner on the table, I really don't know what you're gonna get. Every now and then I like McDonald's, too — it doesn't mean something fast is not good — but we're not a fast-food restaurant with MANOWAR. We think it's quality, so we hope you're gonna feel the same way."

ALESTORM Mastermind Launches GLORYHAMMER
 GLORYHAMMER is the "heroic fantasy power metal" project led by Christopher Bowes, the mastermind behind pirate metal sensation ALESTORM, with a desire to explore the more symphonic and epic side of metal.
Due in late 2012 via Napalm Records, GLORYHAMMER's debut album, "Tales From The Kingdom Of Fife", will tell an original story based in an alternate-history medieval Scotland, where magic and dark sorcery reigns supreme. The CD will be recorded at LSD Studios in Germany. A concept of such epic proportions requires a truly talented vocalist, and for this purpose Thomas L. Winkler from Swiss power metal band EMERALD was hired to provide majestic soaring vocals. The lineup is completed by Paul Templing, James Cartwright, and Ben Turk, who honed their battle skills in various underground U.K. metal bands.

DECEMBER FLOWER Signs With CYCLONE EMPIRE RECORDS
 German melodic blackened death metal hopefuls DECEMBER FLOWER have inked a deal with Cyclone Empire Records. The band is currently writing material for its sophomore album for a 2013 release.
DECEMBER FLOWER's debut CD, "When All Life Ends…", was released last December via Cyclone Empire through a licensing deal with Imperium Productions (which released the vinyl version of the effort).
Commented the band: "We are very happy about the fact, that we have the possibility to cooperate with Cyclone Empire for our next releases. The great job they did with the licensing of our debut made it an easy decision for us to choose them as our future companion. Besides preparing for some live assaults during the next months, we are already writing some new stuff. So we hope to present our next release sometime in 2013."
Rising from the ashes of CHRONICLES OF TYRANTS, DECEMBER FLOWER "have gathered in unholy congregation to teach the doctrine of old-school melodic blackened death metal in the vein of UNANIMATED, DISMEMBER, CARDINAL SIN, GATES OF ISHTAR or old DARK TRANQUILLITY, delivering a fierce and relentless assault of uncompromising death metal ferocity," according to a press release.

HELLENNIUM: Debut Album Cover Artwork, Release Date Revealed
 Uddevalla, Sweden-based metallers HELLENNIUM will release their self-titled debut album on May 30 via Gothenburg, Sweden's Rambo Music, a division of Gain Music Entertainment (which is distributed and partly owned by Sony Music). The CD was mixed and mastered at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden.

In a 2011 interview with TheUnderground.in, HELLENNIUM bassist Linus Palmqvist stated about the band's upcoming CD, "The theme, though, is already chosen, and was probably the easiest decision we've ever taken, seeing as it never was a decision. The songs sort of wrote themselves and united around the common theme that our values create. It's the soundtrack to the battlefield of life! To have a record about anything else would be to go against all of the things that we and HELLENNIUM stand for."

SEPULTURA Guitarist Covers THE POLICE's 'Walking On The Moon' (Video)

Kisser's solo debut, "Hubris I & II", was nominated in the "Best Brazilian Rock Album" category at the 2010 Latin Grammys, which aired live from Las Vegas on the Univision Network.
"Hubris I & II" was released in June 2009 via Holland's Mascot Records. A two-disc set, the self-produced effort was recorded in part at A Voz do Brasil studio in São Paulo, Brazil.
Kisser previously stated about the album, "I'm very pleased with the result and I'm excited to hear it all done. It was a long process, a learning process and a great experience. It's a musical journey through the influences I had for last 15 years of my life and at the same time it's very different from everything I did so far."

"This is a musical diary of avant-garde compositions and experiments, one of which was to appear on the film 'Lucifer Rising'.
"The collection has been exhumed and is now ready for public release. This will be available exclusively on [JimmyPage.com].
"There will be a standard release on heavyweight vinyl.
"In addition there will be a special run of 418 numbered copies. The first 93 copies will be signed and numbered.
