Since they first started, Sorcerer have been labeled "epic doom" - a tag that fits but does not define them, and this has never been more evident than on their third full-length, Lamenting Of The Innocent. On this record, the Swedish quintet return with a revamped lineup that includes longstanding guitarists Kristian Niemann and Peter Hallgren plus vocalist Anders Engberg, joined by bassist Justin Biggs and former drummer Richard Evensand - both of whom bring something new and fresh to Sorcerer. This time around, the band let their influences shine through, breaking up the epic doom with flavors of prog, post-metal, classic heavy metal and hard rock. The track "Deliverance" also features a guest appearance: Johan Langquist of Candlemass and renowned Swedish cellist Svante Henryson.

Sorcerer comments: "They truly brought another dimension to that song and now it's impossible to imagine it without their contributions, which is the way it should be when you bring guests in to perform; they are there to provide something you couldn't do on your own."

Producing the album themselves, the band are self-confessed hardcore perfectionists who will accept nothing but the absolute best in every aspect of the recording process. The only collaborators involved in the making of Lamenting Of The Innocent were Ronnie Björnström, who both mixed and mastered the album, and Conny Welén who contributed to the songwriting.

Sorcerer adds: "We play music that relates to when we grew up, with bands like Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and such. They are all influences and we like to build that dramatic touch into our music. It's important for us to create a feeling in the song that will take you, maybe, to another world or a fantasy place somewhere, and the bands we grew up with are the masters of this. By the same token we are also influenced by more contemporary acts and their approach to arrangements and orchestration. Inspiration can come from anywhere, but we all know when we've captured that 'Sorcerer sound'. It feels like home."

Lamenting Of The Innocent tracklisting:

"Persecution" (intro)

See MIKE PATTON Join S.O.D. Members To Perform 'Speak Spanish Or Die' While In Quarantine

A month after sharing "quarantine versions" of the STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH songs "March Of The S.O.D." and "Chromatic Death", recorded with each member separated in their own homes, Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX), Scott Ian (ANTHRAX) and Dan Lilker (NUCLEAR ASSAULT, ex-ANTHRAX) have returned with another S.O.D. track, "Speak English Or Die", the lyrics of which have been switched up to "Speak Spanish Or Die". Joining the trio on vocals is MR. BUNGLE and FAITH NO MORE singer Mike Patton, who previously performed the same track with Ian and ex-SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo at the MR. BUNGLE reunion shows in February. Patton makes an appearance in the accompanying video as "The Lonely Rager," complete with cowboy hat and bandana mask.

STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH (a.k.a. S.O.D.) was a satirical 1980s metal band which consisted of Ian (guitar), Benante (drums), Lilker (bass) and M.O.D.'s Billy Milano (vocals).

STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH are commonly credited as being among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal into a style sometimes called "crossover thrash." The track "March Of The S.O.D." from the group's debut LP, "Speak English Or Die", was the "Headbangers Ball" intro song for many years.

STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH was formed shortly after Ian finished his guitar tracks on the ANTHRAX album "Spreading The Disease". He would draw pictures of the face of a character known as "Sargent D," and the pictures would be accompanied by slogans such as "I'm not racist; I hate everyone" and "Speak English Or Die." Ian would then wrote lyrics about this character. He decided to form a hardcore band based on Sargent D, so he recruited Benante, Lilker and Milano.

The 30th-anniversary edition of "Speak English Or Die" was made available in November 2015 via Megaforce. The set included the original album as well as the demo recordings from the pre-STROMTROOPERS OF DEATH project CRAB SOCIETY NORTH.

RAINBOW Singer RONNIE ROMERO Pays Tribute To RONNIE JAMES DIO With 'Rainbow Eyes' Cover (Video)

RAINBOW frontman Ronnie Romero paid tribute to Ronnie James Dio on the tenth anniversary of the legendary singer's death by releasing a cover version of RAINBOW's "Rainbow Eyes", recorded with Romero's LORDS OF BLACK bandmate Tony Hernando. Check out the video below.

Romero, originally from Chile but now settled in Madrid, Spain, made his live debut with RAINBOW in June 2016 after he was selected to front the latest version of the band guitarist Ritchie Blackmore had formed after quitting DEEP PURPLE.

In addition to Romero and Blackmore, the current incarnation of RAINBOW includes STRATOVARIUS keyboardist Jens Johansson, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT drummer David Keith, bassist Bob Nouveau (a.k.a. Robert "Bob" Curiano, ex-BLACKMORE'S NIGHT), and backing singers Candice Night and Lady Lynn.

The two shows RAINBOW played in Germany in June 2016 were caught on camera to produce "Memories In Rock - Live In Germany", which was released in November 2016 via Eagle Rock Entertainment on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD, and digital formats.

Romero told Metal Shock Finland about his performances with RAINBOW: "I feel really good with my job, because I tried to make justice, not just to the songs, but all these singers — Ronnie James Dio, Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale. I just tried to sing the songs in my own way and my own style, and I think the people appreciate that. I'm not just a copy of the other singers. I prefer to sing like Ronnie Romero singing these songs of Ronnie James Dio and David Coverdale and whatever. And I think the people prefer that, and they really appreciate the situation, because I think the people don't like to see a guy or pay for a ticket to see a guy try to sing like Ronnie James Dio. It's not a good idea. So I feel really good with my job and I know the people and the fans that have sent me messages and told me that they really appreciated [how I interpreted the songs]."

ATKINS MAY PROJECT Feat. Original JUDAS PRIEST Singer AL ATKINS: 'The War In-Between' Video

The official "social lockdown" video for the song "The War In-Between" from ATKINS MAY PROJECT, the band featuring original JUDAS PRIEST singer Al Atkins and Christian guitarist and music artist Paul May, can be seen below. The track is taken from ATKINS MAY PROJECT's latest album, "The Final Cut", which was released in April.

"The Final Cut" track listing:

01. The Revealing (:36)

02. The Final Cut (4:43)

03. When The Bell Tolls (4:58)

04. The War In-Between (4:22)

05. Treading Water (6:18)

06. Buried Alive (4:32)

07. Fighting Man (4:52)

08. Dead Mens Bones (3:53)

09. Stranger In A Strange Land (5:26)

10. The Cold Wind Blows (4:12)

11. Masquerade (5:34)

12. The Final Cut (full version) (9:04)

Atkins and May previously created three records — "Serpents Kiss", "Valley Of Shadows" and "Empire Of Destruction" — available on Gonzo Multimedia. There are enough doses of melody and metal madness to entice all fans of the genre, and while it is solid, honest, working-class heavy metal, it also has its roots in contemporary metal with some fine axe-work and killer choruses.

This marriage of metal mayhem has earned them stunning reviews from the world's press and has seen them gain a steady momentum of fans globally since their initial release back in 2011.

A compilation album, "Anthology", arrived in 2015. The effort featured a previously unreleased bonus track — a cover of PHIL COLLINS' "In The Air Tonight".

Atkins is the co-writer of several PRIEST songs which are included on the band's first two albums, "Rocka Rolla" and "Sad Wings of Destiny", both of which eventually went gold. Atkins co-penned the heavy metal classic "Victim of Changes", which was a combination of Rob Halford's song "Red Light Lady" and Atkins' own "Whiskey Woman". He also co-wrote "Winter", "Never Satisfied", "Dreamer Deceiver" and "Caviar and Meths".

In 1989 Atkins released his debut solo album, "Judgement Day", to great acclaim. But it was "Heavy Thoughts" and "Victim of Changes" (the latter being his collaborative album with ex-JUDAS PRIEST drummer Dave Holland) that brought him strong sales and critical acclaim around the world.

JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill penned the foreword to Al Atkins's autobiography, titled "Dawn of the Metal Gods: My Life in Judas Priest and Heavy Metal". The book, which was written with Neil Daniels — a freelance rock writer and heavy metal fan who befriended Atkins during the writing of Neil's book "The Story Of Judas Priest: Defenders Of The Faith" (Omnibus Press) — was released in 2009 via Iron Pages.

Watch MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO's 'The Badlands' Video

Shred guitar pioneer Michael Angelo Batio will release his 12th studio album, "More Machine Than Man", on June 12 via Rat Pak Records. The all-instrumental follow-up to 2013's "Intermezzo" features 13 tracks and is "sure to resonate with past fans, as well as garner new fans along the way," according to a press release. From the infectious guitar riffs from album openers "Laser Guided" and "The Badlands" to the crushing bonus-track finale of "No Backup Plan", Michael has created something truly special and engaging.

The official music video for "The Badlands", which can be seen below, depicts Batio playing in a desert as a storm rages behind him. The song is also available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

Mixed and mastered by longtime Batio engineer Chris Wisco, "More Machine Than Man" features guest performances by Chris Adler (ex-LAMB OF GOD), lending his drum skills on the tracks "More Machine Than Man" and "The Two Sirens". Also appearing on the album is renowned bassist Victor Wooten, who performs on "AVTD", and guitar virtuoso Andrea Martongelli who guest solos on "The Countdown Is On".

Regarding the release, Michael comments: "This is the most 'in-your-face' album I have ever recorded. I limited the use of keyboards so you can hear the detail and precision of the rhythm guitars. My goals were to write the best songs I could, keep the tracks as raw and natural as possible and make the grooves relentless! I'm borrowing a quote by NITRO singer Jim Gillette that I think describes this album perfectly: 'If this album doesn't rock your socks off, call the coroner 'cause you must be dead!'"

The track listing for "More Machine Than Man" is:

01. Laser Guided

02. The Badlands

03. Put All Fear Aside

04. More Machine Than Man

05. Dreamin' Of 1986

06. Beyond The Outer Limits

07. The Two Sirens

08. AVTD

09. The Countdown Is On

10. Rhythm Reprise (I Pray The Lord)

Bonus tracks (CD and digital versions)

11. 21st Century Beck

12. Charlie Went To Chicago

13. No Backup Plan

Michael Angelo Batio showcased his guitar techniques and innovations for the first time with his early instructional programs, as well as in his live performances, which are now considered "standard techniques" among guitarists worldwide. Michael not only invented, but was the world's first player of the double-guitar and was also voted one of the world's top 100 guitarists of all time by Guitar World magazine. He also holds the YouTube record for his instructional video "Speed Kills" — the highest views for a guitarist, coming in at over 21 million.

WHITESNAKE, SEPULTURA, Ex-KISS Guitarists Unite To Cover THE POLICE's 'Synchronicity II' For COVID-19 Relief

Several renowned rock guitar players from around the world gathered (virtually) to record a cover of THE POLICE's classic "Synchronicity II" in a "quarantine" version. The video will help as a fundraiser for the Red Cross to help fight COVID-19 around the world.

The lineup is formed by musicians who have played with some of the top names in the industry, like KISS, WHITESNAKE, Cher, Madonna, SEPULTURA, Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley, Bobby Kimball and Joe Lynn Turner, to name a few, spread all over the world in countries like U.S.A., United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain, Brazil and Argentina.

Gabe Treiyer, the man behind the idea, said in a statement: "I've been thinking of a way to entertain and help at the same time those that are isolated because of the quarantine while staying at home, and

maybe suffering the loss of a friend or family member. So I decided to call some friends. I explained them what this was all about, and they jumped in inmediately.

"Even though I've never been in touch with some of them, like Andreas or Monte, they are players that I really admire and follow and I'm really happy that they decided to join anyway.

"The idea is to give people some entertainment during this global

pandemic period, and the 'synchronicity' concept of the song, translated

as unity between us (musicians), all based around the globe, could send

out a message of hope to other people during these difficult times, and

also encouraging them as well to help others."

"Guitars Against COVID-19" lineup:

* Bruce Kulick (KISS, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD)

* Joel Hoekstra (WHITESNAKE, CHER)

* Monte Pittman (MADONNA, PRONG)

* Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA)

* Tommy Denander (ALICE COOPER, PAUL STANLEY)

* David Palau (A. SANZ, BOBBY KIMBALL)

* Gabe Treiyer (BOBBY KIMBALL, GENE LOVES JEZEBEL)

* Gary O´Toole (STEVE HACKETT)

* Pablo Motyczak (RATA BLANCA)

ALEXISONFIRE has released a fan-fueled music video for the song "Season Of The Flood". The clip is notably comprised of footage shot exclusively by ALEXISONFIRE concert-goers in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.

During the band's January 2020 Western Canadian tour, fans were encouraged to shoot footage of the live performance of "Season Of The Flood" from their mobile devices and submit it to the band. Earlier this week, ALEXISONFIRE sent the finished video to everyone who submitted footage, ensuring their fans were the first to give their collective work a proper global debut ahead of tonight's public premiere.

Last night's "Season Of The Flood" video premiere wasfollowed by a very special, one-time "watch party" of "Alexisonfire: Live At Copps", originally filmed on December 30, 2012 at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, on the ALEXISONFIRE YouTube channel. Members of the band joined fans worldwide in conversation throughout the concert, which features 24 songs first featured on the "Alexisonfire: Live At Copps" 4-LP release.

In addition, four more live videos will be released on May 18 featuring footage from December 29, 2012, the last of four incredible sold-out shows that ALEXISONFIRE performed at Sound Academy in Toronto.

A handful of Blu-ray copies of the "Live At Copps" concert have been made available on the Dine Alone Store. Fans can also purchase "Alexisonfire: Live At Copps" 4-LP set at a reduced price until Monday, May 18 at theonlybandever.com and the Dine Alone Store.

"Season Of The Flood" is a seductive, hypnotic, seven-minute slow-burner anchored by haunting three-part harmonies and heavy reverb-filled guitars produced by ALEXISONFIRE longtime friend, the late Karl "Horse" Bareham (CITY AND COLOUR), and mixed by Grammy Award winning Jacquire King (TOM WAITS, KINGS OF LEON, MODEST MOUSE). The track comes on the heels of "Familiar Drugs" and "Complicit", released last year, marking the first time the band released new music in almost 10 years.

Exclusive: DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT Premieres “A Violent Breed” Video

Industrial metal band Dead Animal Assembly Plant has premiered their official music video for single "A Violent Breed" from their forthcoming album Bring Out The Dead on BraveWords!

"A Violent Breed" is the first single released on Armalyte Industries and is available as a free download on Bandcamp.

The video was directed by Karl Whinnery and can be seen below:

The Sweet Meats Slaughterhouse was founded in 1895 by Wilhelm Schröder. Internationally known for his advances in industrialized butchery...he produced 30% of the meats consumed in the United States. In 1915 tragedy struck the small town he called home when all the livestock took some unexplained fatal disease. The ever resourceful Schröder turned to the only available meat. The townsfolk. When they discovered the terrible truth - they enacted their own form of justice. Feeding the once prolific Schröder to his own machines. The Sweet Meats Slaughterhouse remained eerily quiet and vacant…until one night...horrible noises resembling music emanated from the dank hallways.

DAAP combine elements of rock, metal, industrial, and bring a strong post-apocalyptic / horror influence to our characters and stage show. Shows include: Knotfest 2015, Wasteland Weekend 2018/2019, multiple successful independent tours including a national tour in 2019, Twitch.tvappearances, collaborations with international artists Mothmeister, and direct local support for numerous national touring acts from metal, to horror punk, to industrial.

The band's forthcoming album Bring Out The Dead with photography by Mothmeister will be available via Armalyte Industries.

Magnus Karlsson’s FREE FALL Release Music Video For "Dreams And Scars" Feat. ELECTRIC MOB's Renan Zonta

Heavy metal guitarist, songwriter, and producer Magnus Karlsson recently released his third album, We Are The Night, from his solo project Magnus Karlsson's Free Fall, via Frontiers Music Srl. As with the prior two Free Fall releases, We Are The Night features an exciting array of guest vocalists taking the lead on tracks throughout the album.

Order We Are The Night here, and watch a video for "Dreams And Scars", featuring Electric Mob's Renan Zonta, below.

For this new album, We Are The Night, Magnus again enlisted a dream team of singers featuring some of the strongest melodic singers in metal and hard rock. The list includes the awesome Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast), Dino Jelusick (Animal Drive, Dirty Shirley), Ronnie Romero (Rainbow), the newest vocal star on the Frontiers’ label, Renan Zonta (Electric Mob), Tony Martin (Mollo/Martin, ex-Black Sabbath), and Mike Andersson (Cloudscape). Rounding out the line-up on the album is Anders Kollerfors on drums. Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Primal Fear, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids, etc.) mixed.

On making the album, Magnus says, "After all hours of songwriting and recording, I sat back and listened to the final mixes and wondered, 'How can I ever top this album?' It has the sound and vibe I've always been searching for. Old and new friends that I admire are singing their hearts out and making the songs better than I ever could have dreamed of! Well, the third Free Fall album is something really special to me and I hope it will be that for you too!"

Of Dino Jelusick, the guest vocalist on first single, "Hold Your Fire", Magnus shares, "I first heard/saw Dino on YouTube and then checked out his band Animal Drive. I was totally knocked out by his amazing voice! He’s got a voice that can be compared with many of the singing legends we adore, but he’s got his own style filled with heart, soul, and tons of power! Crank up 'Hold Your Fire' and get ready to get blown away by the awesome Dino Jelusick!"

Magnus Karlsson is well known as the mastermind behind several Frontiers productions, including the successful initial Allen/Lande trilogy and the recent spin-off album, Allen/Olzon as well as releases by Starbreaker (with Tony Harnell), Bob Catley, and Kiske/Somerville. In 2008, he joined German heavy metal icons Primal Fear and with them has toured the world and recorded several successful albums which charted in multiple countries around the globe.

In 2013, he launched his solo project Free Fall, which was warmly received by the numerous fans of the Swedish mastermind and showcased Magnus’ songwriting and production skills with lead vocals provided by a varied cast of some the finest singers in metal and hard rock.

THE DEAD DAISIES Collaborate With Dance/Rock Duo DANCE WITH THE DEAD On 'Unspoken' Remix

THE DEAD DAISIES released their gripping single "Unspoken" last month, and it's the first song and video to land from their forthcoming LP, "Holy Ground". This week sees the arrival of a killer remix of the original, and it's a joint effort with dance/rock duo DANCE WITH THE DEAD. Inspired by '80s synths, "Unspoken" is given a powerhouse vibe laced with its super-charged vocals and energizing drums.

Justin Pointer from DANCE WITH THE DEAD says: "It was a great honor to work with such powerhouse legends in the industry, and we had a lot of fun working on this."

THE DEAD DAISIES X DANCE WITH THE DEAD "Unspoken" remix will be available worldwide tomorrow (Friday, May 15).

Influenced by 1970s and early 1980s rock, THE DEAD DAISIES' sound is soulful and accessible — equal parts of AEROSMITH, BAD COMPANY and FOREIGNER: muscular vocals, bluesy riffs, big choruses, powerful melodies and strong hooks. With stellar musicianship and pulverizing live shows, fans across the globe are discovering the band that is bringing back rock and roll.

"Holy Ground" is due later in the year via Spinefarm Records. The disc was recorded at La Fabrique Studios in the south of France with producer Ben Grosse. The follow-up to 2018's "Burn It Down" will be the band's first to feature Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION), who joined the group last year as its new bassist and vocalist, replacing John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE) and Marco Mendoza (THIN LIZZY).

"Unspoken" was written during THE DEAD DAISIES' first studio session last summer. Glenn recalls: "I wrote the chorus while driving into Hollywood. I pulled over, turned on my iPhone and recorded the chorus. I transported myself back to 1972 just for a moment. The intro is the theme of the song. It's bombastic, primeval and haunting. This song is about letting go, getting past the fear, and to breathe again."

Last August, THE DEAD DAISIES released "Righteous Days", the band's first song to feature Hughes.

THE DEAD DAISIES 2020 are:

* Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) - Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar

* Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO) - Guitar

* David Lowy (MINK, RED PHOENIX) - Guitar

* Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH, HARDLINE) – Drums

Watch First Video From CHRIS JERICHO's KISS Covers Band KUARANTINE

FOZZY singer Chris Jericho has joined forces with TRIXTER bassist P.J. Farley (TRIXTER), guitarist Joe McGinness and drummer Kent Slucher to form a 1980s KISS cover band called KUARANTINE. The band's debut video, for the song "No, No, No", which originally appeared on KISS's 1987 album "Crazy Nights", can be seen below.

Jericho said in a statement: "When Kent & Joe approached me to sing on a few 80s KISS songs, I jumped at the chance, as it's my favorite era of my favorite band. Once we brought in PJ, not only did we have a world-class band with years of touring experience, we also had four guys with one common bond: to stay creative and to do something special for all music fans during this pandemic. 'No, No, No' is the perfect debut release for KUARANTINE, as not only is it a crushing, FUN rock n roll tune, but it's guaranteed to satisfy and put a smile on your face...whether you want one or not!"

In an interview with SPIN, Jericho stated about KUARANTINE: "This is how you can form a band in the COVID era. You have four badasses singing and playing this era of rock and roll from one of the biggest bands in the world that no one ever focuses on this part of their career. It's cool and organic.

"Had there been no COVID, this never would have taken place," he said. "And gives a little shot in the arm to a scene that's a little bit stagnant because of what's going on worldwide."

FOZZY is gearing up to release its new full-length album, "2020", this fall. The LP features the band's newest hit song "Nowhere To Run", which recently hit Top 10 on the rock radio chart. The song is the band's third track to hit Top 10 on rock radio, following "Judas" and "Painless".

Since reuniting, TRIXTER has released two studio albums via Frontiers Music Srl — 2012's "New Audio Machine" and 2015's "Human Era".

Exclusive: FROM HELL Premieres "They Come At Night" Video

Metal horror band, From Hell, returns in 2020 with a new album called Rats & Ravens. Staying true to the vision that each release is a concept album, Aleister Sinn (the live persona of George Anderson, creator/writer of From Hell), releases an album both dark and sinister. BraveWords is premiering the new video from the band; indulge in "They Come At Night" below:

"The story is about a witch who desires children of her own and steals them from the villages nearby. When she kills them, she traps the ravens who come for their souls. She keeps the children on this earth, reanimates their corpses with rats and calls them Lilium." - Aleister Sinn

Mid 13th Century… somewhere in eastern Europe: “A father disturbs an evil in the east. A witch comes to steal his son and the children of the village to make them her own. She sacrifices them and reanimates the dead with the blessings from the god of vermin. With rats, she brings them back to life and calls them Lilium.”

Rats & Ravens will be available worldwide on May 22, in stores and online. Order on iTunes and other digital retailers here. A lyric video for "Lilium" can be seen below.

Rats & Ravens features Aleister Sinn on vocals and guitar, Wes Anderson on drums, Stephen Paul Goodwin on bass and Steve Smyth on lead guitar. As the band rehearsed the songs with Sinn, the richness of what Wes, Steve, and Stephen brought to the material from their varied backgrounds of musical experience added a depth to each song that was later realized in the final recordings.

From Hell recorded the album with Greg Wilkinson (High on Fire, Necrot, Autopsy) at Earhammer Studio in Oakland, CA. Sinn says, “When we returned from tour in Russia 2017, we recorded two new songs with Greg and we really liked working with Greg and what we heard. He records bands in a more natural way than many metal engineers and producers and doesn’t rely on sound replacement, but captures great tones to start with and the final mixes of our album came out very natural sounding, heavy and produced, but not over-produced. I personally am pleased.”

Mastering was handled by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Annhilator, Cynic) at MaorAppelbaum Mastering in Los Angeles.

George Anderson (aka Aleister Sinn) has played guitar and vocals for the SF Bay area bands Down Factor and Grandma, a tribute to King Diamond. Wes Anderson has played drums for Les Claypool, Idiot Flesh, Blind Illusion, Young Lions (Noah of Neurosis), SOSA, and Kehoe Nation. Steve Smyth has played guitar for Testament, Nevermore, Dragonlord, Forbidden, Vicious Rumors and One Machine. Stephen Paul Goodwin on bass has played for Vicious Rumors, Diablo Dukes, Journey Unauthorized and has played or recorded with Brad Gillis, Mick Mestec, Eric Peterson, Will Carroll, Phil Bennett, Sticks Hooper, Eric Barnett and Salar Nader.

Rats & Ravens is the follow up to the first From Hell album Ascent From Hell, which is as heavy as it is epic. The album tells a horror story about a corpse that wakes up in Hell only to find he must go back to earth, recover his soul that still lives inside another body and drag it back to Hell. Ascent From Hell featured metal icons Paul Bostaph, Steve Smyth, and Damien Sisson.

"The Witch"

METALLICA: Pro-Shot Video Of 'Frantic' Performance From Copenhagen

Professionally filmed video footage of METALLICA performing the song "Frantic" live on July 11 at Telia Parken in Copenhagen, Denmark can be seen below.

METALLICA played "Frantic" for the first time in eight years when it kicked off the spring/summer 2019 European leg of its "Worldwired" tour on May 1 at the Estádio Do Restelo in Lisbon, Portugal.

METALLICA's "WorldWired" tour has played more than 130 shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off.

Last November, drummer Lars Ulrich told The Mercury News that the trek could last through early 2020.

The San Francisco Bay Area metal giants have been touring in support of their latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", which came out in November 2016.

With dates already locked in through the fall, Ulrich was asked if he is tired of touring yet. He replied: "We have the luxury, and we are very fortunate, to be able to set a touring schedule that works really well for us. We kind of set boundaries. We have a two-week rule, so that after two weeks we come home and see our families and kids and get a sense of San Francisco. So, for about a decade, we've had a really good setup in terms of how we balance all of it. It takes longer to play the same amount of dates. But the good news is that our chances for not losing our minds — or for playing all the shows, physically, mentally — are much higher, because we have a pace that we feel is at the right level for us. So, it's good. We still have to go to Australia. We still have to go to Japan. We have a couple of other things planned after Europe."

GORGATRON - Pathogenic Automation Due In August; "Imposter Syndrome" Video Unveiled

Fargo, North Dakota-based death / grind practitioners Gorgatron will unleash their pulverizing Pathogenic Automation full-length this August via Blood Blast Distribution.

Based on a "love of the riff" approach to writing and rooted in the old-school stylings of death and thrash, the nine-track Pathogenic Automation was recorded by the band, mixed and mastered by Gorgatron guitarist Neal Stein (El Supremo, Egypt) and delivers a 41-minute maelstrom of sonic brutality punctuated by a variety of introspective themes.

"Whenever I write lyrics, I usually focus on the rhythmic aspect first and then try to fit a theme into what I'm doing," elaborates vocalist Karl Schmidt. "Pathogenic Automation is no exception. I find the patterns and structures that work and begin to write. There is usually multiple meanings to the words that end up being lyrics. For example, the title track is about people forcibly being turned into robots. It's a farfetched idea, but since I used the wording I did, it could be translated into something way different than what I intended."

"There are a couple other tunes that have a more straight forward concept. Much of the record is centered on how there is so much potential for people in general to do amazing things, yet most choose not to. Every person that is born, has a chance to become someone amazing. So many people I meet / know lack something they are passionate about or lack some sense of purpose. I think more people need to take it upon themselves to become what they want to become and quit acting like somebody owes them something."

In advance of the release of Pathogenic Automation, Gorgatron has unveiled a video for first single "Imposter Syndrome". Comments bassist Cameron Dewald, "'Imposter Syndrome' is a sonic assault, from start to finish; just a punishing collection of riffs and blastbeats. It's even more punishing to play some nights! We have tested this tune out at a handful of metal fests in the last year or so and the crowd response at some points is louder than us playing! Which is one of the main reasons we chose to lead with this song."

"For the music video, we teamed up with Chris Dasinger and Sylvester Sletten of Brutal Films. We had previously worked with them for our Mockumentary (Beyond The Blastbeats). They have a great eye for humor and brutality and did a phenomenal job despite filming some of the scenes in 15-degree weather and putting up with us shooting guns and blowing up a dummy for one of the five kill scenes. All in all, 'Impostor Syndrome', in my opinion, both sonically and visually captures Gorgatron perfectly: serious brutal song writing while towing the lines of morbid humor."

Pathogenic Automation, which includes cover art by Aghy R. Purakusuma (Pure Wrath, Stillbirth, Numen), will see CD release independently on August 28th with worldwide digital distribution by Blood Blast, a new service powered by Nuclear Blast and Believe Music. Find preorders at the Gorgatron website, as well as Indiemerch. Fans of Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Necrophagist, and Hate Eternal pay heed.

Pathogenic Automation artwork and tracklisting:

"Atrophy"
"Usurpation"
"Reactor"
"Insurmountable"
"Impostor Syndrome"

Forged in 2006 and named in honor of a giant Mooninite that appeared in Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Gorgatron has released two full-lengths - 2010's debut Torturtorium and 2015's Inner Supremacy.
