Accomplished guitarist Bobby Keller has revealed his first solo track, the shredding “Reign In Fire,” and an accompanying video.
“I have always dreamed of writing a solo/shred type album and putting my own spin on things,” Keller says. “I wanted to do something different, yet at the same time, make music that I wanted to hear. This isn’t your typical shred album, it's heavier, and I couldn’t be any more excited for my single, ‘Reign in Fire,’ to start reaching the masses."
Born in Denver, Colorado, but raised in Orlando, FL, Bobby Keller has been making his way up the music scene with his unique style of guitar playing since 2009. He is considered one of the top guitar players in Florida and the south east. Inspired by guitarists such as Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix and Dimebag Darrell, Keller combines both untamed speed and euphonic rhythm into his technique to create a truly individual sound.
With the band Meka Nism, Keller has performed nationally along with numerous renowned artists from a variety of genres, from Evanescence and Stabbing Westward to Hellyeah and Gojira. In 2016, Keller was recruited to star in the Theater Works Production of Rock of Ages as the lead guitar player for the “house band” at the Bourbon Room in Hollywood, CA.
Keller teamed up with drummer Ben Johnson last year to make his dream of recording a solo album a reality. With Johnson serving as engineer, Keller’s first solo track, “Reign In Fire,” was recorded at Johnson’s Reverse 13 Studios in Orlando. The song was mastered by legendary producer Machine (Lamb Of God, Clutch).
Through the years Keller has been endorsed by ESP Guitars, EMG Pickups, Richter Straps, Fortin Amps, SIT Strings, WB Gear, Neural DSP, Graph Tech Guitar Labs, FU-Tone, Klotz Cables and JH Audio.
“Reign In Fire” is available via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Music, Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal.

French melodic death metal band, Think Of A New Kind, has unveiled a new video for the track “The Pledge”, from their fourth studio album, Ideals Will Remain, released last month via their new label, Verycords Records. Watch the video below.
“‘The Pledge’ proves that this new record is everything that is Think Of A New Kind: heavy and technical riffs, but still groovy and melodic,” says singer Raf Pener.
“’Ideals Will Remain’ comes with significant changes: new label, new concept, new logo and almost a new name, as we definitely abandoned the acronym T.A.N.K for our full name Think Of A New Kind,” adds guitarist Nils Courbaron.
Ideals Will Remain is an ambitious concept album that bridges post-apocalyptic science fiction and pop culture that is sure to pique the interest of fans of comics and movies such as Fahrenheit 451, Batman, Mad Max or even Watchmen. To breathe animated life into the concept, Think Of A New Kind collaborated with Marvel Studios’ Marcelo Ferreira for a companion comic book.
“This is a dystopia where the system has collapsed,” Pener explains. “Big companies, corrupt governments and extremist groups have established a true climate of terror, where all forms of creative expression and protest culture are strictly forbidden. But a rebel group works in the shadow to gather the wandering souls ready to fight for their freedom, learning lessons from past mistakes.Well... it's not that far from what tends to happen in our world!”
“We were explaining our story and concept to Verycords CEO Mehdi El Jaï and he totally fell in love with it,” Courbaron recalls. “He came up with this idea of creating our own comic book. It was a dream come true, as all of us grew up reading American or Belgian comics.”
Mixing the power of American modern metal and the ambience of Scandinavian mellow-death, the 10-track record was mixed and mastered by HK at Vamacara Studio (Loudblast, Dagoba).
With three previous critically acclaimed albums and two European tours, including appearances at European festivals, Think Of A New Kind already sits at the top of the French metal scene. Formed in 2007 in the Parisian suburbs, the band, the band is noted for its powerful music, influenced by thrash and melodic death metal.

Music fans around the world all agree, it's a little too "quiet now". With bands losing their ability to bring live shows to fans, arts events coming to a complete standstill, and it feeling nearly silent as people remain safe inside their homes, now more than ever, it's important for musicians to keep the music alive.
Alt-rock trailblazers COLD are doing just that with their heartfelt new track "Quiet Now" — one of the standout anthems found on their latest Billboard-charting album and Napalm Records debut, "The Things We Can't Stop", out now. Coming at a time that loss is keenly felt and silence is at its most deafening, the band has revealed the haunting new visual for the track in the form of a brand new music video that will leave viewers with chills.
As reflected in the video, vocalist Scooter Ward has stated that "Quiet Now" was initially inspired by the profound silence a person senses around them during or after a deep loss. The song was originally dedicated to a Cold Army fan-club member who had experienced such loss — but has taken on more meaning during these trying times.
Ward says: "I had written the song 'Quiet Now' for a Cold Army member and dear friend, who had dealt with the loss of a family member during the recording of our new album. A photo was sent to me, of him and his father holding hands while his father was in the hospital… that photograph is what inspired the song. I knew the concept for the video needed to express the intense emotion of the song.
"I contacted Patrick Huven from GHOST MOTEL and filmmaker Alex Schroer to direct and produce the video. I had previously watched their video for a song called 'Hush' that they had created and loved the eeriness of it and their aesthetic. Patrick and I got together on the concept for the video being a mother mourning the loss of her child in solitude. We felt nothing could be more painful… the silence of it all. Not hearing the little sounds of a loved one who is no longer there. However, the only problem was that he lives in Germany, and the distance would be an obstacle. We ended up shooting the story for the video in Germany and then my part here in the states. I reached out to our dear friend and amazing photographer Dave Jackson to film and direct my solo part. We filmed it in his studio in Wisconsin. The end result of the two merging together ended up being seamless and powerful.
"With our world now being on lockdown and everyone experiencing their own levels of solitude, and a bit of silence, and with music being the conduit that holds us together, we felt now was the time to release the song. People are going through serious loss because of this on many levels, and music sometimes helps during these moments. Our hopes are that a song can maybe help people feel not so alone in it all. Our hopes are that with music, perseverance, and the determination that is within us to overcome, things can be somewhat back to normal again soon.
"We love you all. Stay healthy and follow the guidelines to ensure your safety. Our hearts are with you."
Hypnotizing heavy metal band Spell will release its new LP, Opulent Decay, on April 10 via Bad Omen Records. Featuring ten tracks of prime, progressive heavy music rife with crepuscular atmosphere, Opulent Decay paints an aural vista where moonlit melody, strident heaviness and potent romanticism collide to startling effect.
Today, Spell releases a video for the new song, "Deceiver", directed by filmmaker Max Montesi.
Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, yet divining their art from the realm of nocturnal visions and fantasies, Spell have already proven themselves mighty chroniclers of the more supernatural quarters of the heavy music sphere. Recorded at Little Red Sounds studio in New Westminster, B.C., Opulent Decay is an emotionally charged psychic travelogue wreathed in mysticism. The album embraces harmonic guitar heraldry while also showcasing a band as adept at essaying a hymnal acapella piece like the beguiling "Ataraxia" as they are the wistful and melancholic "Dawn Wanderer", the pastoral-tinged and progressively slanted "Primrose Path" or the catchy and barnstorming title-track.
A second sampling of what Opulent Decay holds in store can be experienced now as Spell has also released a music video for the LP's lead track "Psychic Death". Directed by Sean Edwards of Toronto based film collective Ramble Films, the "Psychic Death" video showcases Spell at the height of its powers.
Spell's debut, 2014's Full Moon Sessions, and 2017 LP, For None And All, are proof positive of an outfit - completed by drummer and co-vocalist Al Lester and guitarist Graham McVie - whose grasp of diverting dynamics matched their infectious songcraft. However, these were apparently mere preludes to Opulent Decay, the band’s third and finest record to date.
In addition to the lyrical influence of romantic poets like Keats, Shelley and Coleridge, there's an underlying concept to Opulent Decay, as Cam explains: “All of the songs deal with the contrast between opulence and austerity, and the decay that results from imbalance. Our drive to avoid suffering is strong, but it can be overcome by the love for another and the desire to put them before yourself. Opulent Decay examines this balance and the dangers that await on either side of the pendulum."
Divining its art from the realm of nocturnal visions and fantasies, Spell has already proven to be mighty chroniclers of the more supernatural quarters of the heavy music sphere.
“Music, like dreams, exists in feeling rather than explanation," continues Mesmer. "In sleep, the strangest things can elicit joy or terror — this is why dreams are so difficult to articulate. Creating music, for me, is similar; often, I’ll wake in the dead of night with a powerful feeling or melody in my mind, not connected to reality in any concrete way. I’ll then leap out of bed to try and capture it before it disappears!”
The French quintet Stinky have unveiled a music video for the second preview track for their forthcoming third album (and M-Theory Audio debut), “Of Lost Things.”
According to Stinky vocalist Claire, “Strangers With Familiar Faces” – which is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Bandcamp and other digital platforms – “talks about past relationships, about those people who have had an important place in our lives and who have taken a different path from ours – someone who once mattered, but who today has become a complete stranger.”
Like the band's recently released single “Revival Fire” – the video for which was filmed at France's largest annual metal festival, Hellfest – “Strangers With Familiar Faces” demonstrates the power and ferocity that's captured on Of Lost Things, which will now be released on June 12. Preorders on digipak CD and limited-edition splatter vinyl are available at this location, while all digital preorders include instant downloads of “Strangers With Familiar Faces” and “Revival Fire”.
Of Lost Things was recorded in part by Fabien Guilloteau (Hacride, The Necromancers) and features cover artwork by Emy Rojas (Clutch, Ministry, Queens of the Stone Age).

Death metal maniacs, Defiled, have shared a new live video for the track "Centuries", taken from their freshly released album, Infinite Regress. The video, which was shot during the bands latest show in Tokyo, can be seen below.
The band comments on the video: "We just finished self-isolating at our homes for 14 days since we got back to Japan on March 14th and all of us are alright with our health. So we think it’s a right time to tell you our update. As many of you already know, our European tour was cancelled after 5 shows with mighty Vader, Chronosphere and Fallcie. That sudden cancellation happened by the government's decisions beyond our control. The tour was short but great and we sincerely apologise for all the fans who expected to see us in Europe. We’ll try to come back there when a normal life comes back and hope it’ll be coming in not so distant future. In the meantime, please check our live footage. Now it’s a difficult time for everybody in the world. Please stay healthy and be safe."

When COVID-19 disrupted Dirty Honey's plans to return to Australia to record new music with legendary producer Nick DiDia, frontman Marc LaBelle concocted an idea to make use of the unexpected downtime: Suitcase Sessions.
"I've always wanted to shoot videos out in nature, in non-traditional locations, and have a high-quality recording rig that was small enough to fit in a suitcase," LaBelle explained.
The band debuts their first session today: a stripped-down version of "Heartbreaker" in front of a stunning stretch of mountains in Lone Pine, CA, a location synonymous as the backdrop for the most celebrated Westerns filmed since the 1920s. Check out the video, directed by "Rolling 7s" director Scott Fleishman, below.
"I've taken my motorcycle up to Lone Pine for a couple of years now, so I know the area really well," LaBelle explained. "'Heartbreaker' was written on an acoustic guitar, so there was something special about performing it acoustically with those snow-covered Sierra Nevada peaks in the distance."
Also today, the band members - vocalist LaBelle, John Notto/guitars, Justin Smolian/bass, and drummer Corey Coverstone - see their second single, "Rolling 7s," explode into the Top Five at US Rock Radio. "Rolling 7s" follows the band's debut single into the upper echelons of the US and Canadian Rock Charts, coming in at #5 this week. "When I'm Gone" made record industry history last fall when it because the first track by an unsigned artist to go all the way to #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart.
Machine Head teamed up with Direct Relief to help buy N95 masks and medical supplies for healthcare workers as they continue to treat patients with COVID-95. 100% of the sales of Machine Head’s Lion Crest Tour Tees, standard Lion Crest Tees, Burn My Eyes Tour Tees, and Ladies Tour Tees went to Direct Relief; thus far $7500 has been raised. There's only a few hours left in this week-long fundraiser. Purchase the Machine Head merch here.
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.
In other news, Trivium frontman Matt Heafy has done a hauntingly beautiful cover version of Machine Head's "Descend The Shades Of Night”, which originally appeared on the Through The Ashes Of Empires album, released in 2003.
"This cover was recorded during KiichiChaosKaraoke - a time where subscribers of my Twitch page choose a song for me to learn; timing down the pick by 5 minutes - auction-style," explains Heafy. "Once picked, the song has to be learned and performed in its entirety - immediately - no matter how long it takes."
Progressive power metal band, Induction, have released a music video for "Mirror Make Believe (My Enemy)", featuring Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray, Unisonic, Helloween). The song is featured on the band's debut album, available here.
American Grim have released a new music video for their track, "Breathe". Directed by vocalist Ryan Grim, the video follows the eye-catching video for "Nightmare," which was released late last year. Watch both videos below.
"The world is continuously changing and creating new obstacles and anxieties in our daily life," says Grim. "'Breathe' is a song written to showcase good and evil in people, the decision to live, and the feeling of wanting to die and overcoming those feelings with a sense of living positive and optimistic."
Challenge the status quo. Shake up the culture of fake outrage. Break free from the bonds of self-defeating ignorance. There’s no reason to despair within this dystopia; we have the power to escape mindless obedience. This is the primal punk-style message at the heart of American Grim, a heavy music battalion whose sinister "shock rock" is aimed squarely at conformity.
American Grim stands against those who would exploit our insecurities and exacerbate our social media-driven hunger for validation. The New Jersey trio makes anthems for the downtrodden, the dismissed, and the dispossessed. They champion independent thought, individualism, and above all else, freedom of creative expression. Like Emma Goldman once famously said, “It’s not my revolution if I can't dance to it." Or in this case, smash shit to it. Music is their weapon. The stage is their battlefield.
American Grim conjure the rich history of theatricality found in cinematic horror and dark literature, with the unrelenting energy of traditional hardcore, the massive propulsive hooks of post-industrial, and the unashamed weirdness of classic nü-metal. Devotees of Slipknot, Korn, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson have all found a home within American Grim’s music, while fans of groups like Hatebreed recognize something familiar about the delivery and aggression.
"Ultra Black pushes the concept that evil persists through this world and universe but you can ALWAYS overcome and kill any demons that crawl inside your mind," Grim finished.

When Deep Purple reformed in 1984 for the Perfect Strangers tour, the band's first shows were in Australia. This performance of the classic Purple track "Speed King" was recorded on December 13, 1984.
Deep Purple will release their 21st studio album, Whoosh! - produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin - on June 12, available as a Standard CD, a Digital Album, a Limited Edition CD+DVD Mediabook (including the 1 hour feature “Roger Glover And Bob Ezrin In Conversation” and, for the first time, the full live performance at Hellfest 2017 video), and a Vinyl 2LP+DVD edition (earMUSIC). Pre-order here.
Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse, and Don Airey were invited by Bob Ezrin to Nashville to write and record, during which the band were inspired to push their creative boundaries. Letting go of any artistic limitations, they adopted the motto “Deep Purple is putting the Deep back in Purple”. Whoosh! embodies that freedom, with lyrics that reflect their sentiments on the current situation of the world.
“We’ve included everything that made the whole band smile, including Bob Ezrin,” exclaims Morse. “We’ve always enjoyed making music and having the incredible luxury of a loyal audience.”
Whoosh! marks Deep Purple’s third album produced by Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd). The first - 2013’s Now What?! - charted at #1 in five European countries, as well as Top 10 in over 15 countries worldwide. Cementing itself as one of their most successful albums, inFinite, released in 2017, broke chart records the band accumulated over their 50+year history. With chemistry this electric, it only made sense for Deep Purple and Ezrin to collaborate a third time.
“Another album?! Whoosh?!! Gordon Bennett!!!” -Ian Gillan
One of the most important rock bands of all time, Deep Purple has built a legacy that is nothing short of immeasurable. The band continues to evolve and elevate the possibilities within hard rock, which is fully displayed on Whoosh!

Norwegian high-octane metallers Fight The Fight have dropped their new single and music video "Pacemaker" via Metal Blade Records (North America) and Indie Recordings (worldwide excluding North America).
Europe is in quarantine, and so was one of the members of Fight The Fight. After he got out, the band decided to go out on the empty streets of Oslo to do a video for their song "Pacemaker".
With uplifting drum-beats and bouncy groove, "Pacemaker" directly takes action. The song's inner drive won't stop being fun, while the catchy chorus makes sure you'll never forget the lyrics of this song. Fight The Fight's incredible musicality shines through in an instrumental part, followed by an overwhelming guitar solo, which gets round-up by the song's chorus, and a stompy breakdown. Along with great guitar melodies, a decent harmonic background, and Lars Vegas' unique-sounding voice, this one directly goes into your favorite-song-playlist.
“Pacemaker” is the second single off their upcoming sophomore album titled Deliverance, due for release September 18.
In Christianity, deliverance ministry refers to the activity of cleansing a person of demons and evil spirits in order to address problems manifesting in their life as a result of the presence of said entities and the root causes of their authority to oppress the person.
The band states: "You can say that in many ways writing this album has been a path to set free our individual alter egos. These are all coming out in the lyrics during the album. It is not about cleansing but realizing. Always be true to yourself and everyone around you. Sometimes you have to let that beast out and here it is, a beast of an album!"
SKID ROW guitarist Scotti Hill has uploaded a video lesson featuring the band's classic song "I Remember You".
In a statement accompanying the video's YouTube release, Hill wrote: "Coming to you from high atop of the Shitty Vista Building in Black Lung Canyon California.
"Ive been asked many times about this solo, and if I would do a video lesson. Well, here ya go. Watch the end to see my amp and settings. Enjoy".
Two and a half years ago, Hill ruled out the possibility of a SKID ROW reunion with singer Sebastian Bach, explaining he and his bandmates don't want to "put ourselves in a volatile situation and be unhappy and destroy what we have now."
Bach fronted SKID ROW until 1996, when he was fired. Instead of throwing in the towel, the remaining members took a hiatus and went on to play briefly in a band called OZONE MONDAY.
In 1999, SKID ROW reformed and, after a bit of shuffling over the years, featured a lineup consisting of original bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarists Dave "Snake" Sabo and Hill, alongside drummer Rob Hammersmith and singer Johnny Solinger.
SKID ROW fired Solinger over the phone in April 2015, a few hours before announcing ex-TNT vocalist Tony Harnell as his replacement. Eight months later, Harnell exited the band and was replaced by South African-born, British-based singer ZP Theart, who previously fronted DRAGONFORCE, TANK and I AM I.
During an appearance on the August 7 episode of "Another FN Podcast", Hill was asked if it's true that Bach was relieved of his duties from SKID ROW when he reportedly booked the group to open for KISS without first consulting his bandmates. "That caused a giant uproar is what it did, and [Sebastian] did something to Snake that was unacceptable," Hill revealed (hear audio below). "He called his house on Thanksgiving and said some horrible things into his answering machine, and Snake says, 'You know what? I'm not gonna be in a band with you anymore.' There you go. It's as simple as that."
Hill also talked about SKID ROW's decision to take a break following Bach's departure from the band. He said: "Well, at that point, grunge had come into play. We had done 'Subhuman Race'. It's a cool record; it's got its moments. And then we had gone out and done that tour and it was a failure. And at that point, with everything that was going on internally in the band, something was gonna give, and that just happened to be what it was. Everybody had had enough of everything, and it wasn't worth it for anybody to leave the house for that. So when that happened, we just all stopped calling each other. We had been on the road a lot, man. I mean, we went out on that first tour — it was sixteen months — we came home, we did a record, we went back on tour for twenty-two months, we came back home, we did another record, we went on… We were out for a long time, but those first two tours were really long. For people that get along, that will wear thin. So when there's lots of turmoil and stuff like that, it's hard to go on. So with all that combined, you've got guys that just were, like, 'All right. I need a break.'"
According to Scotti, he didn't see any of his bandmates for "probably a year" until he, Snake and Rachel "started a little side project," the aforementioned OZONE MONDAY. "We just wanted to try something different — whatever comes out comes out — not particularly for heavy music, or any kind of music," he explained. "But after a while, that just wasn't feeling right. And I remember Snake and I were going to New York one day, we were on the ferry riding over there, and he was, like, 'Would you be interested in doing SKID ROW with a different singer?' I was, like, 'Yeah. People are gonna freak out, but they can start their own fucking band then — do it the way they wanna do it. This is what's happening.' So that's what we did."
Hill called SKID ROW's relaunch "very difficult" and described the band's journey as "a battle to get where we're at now. We're out playing now and we're having a really good time," he said. "But it was a battle — it was really down in the fucking shitholes again, and the vans and the RVs and the shitty hotels, when you get them, and we worked our way up."
Despite the fact that rebuilding the SKID ROW brand has been anything but easy, Hill is adamant that he has no interest in a reunion with Bach. "No. That door is closed," he said. "There was talk about it, the two camps went back and forth, and it was not to happen. So that door is now shut."
Asked if that means that the split is "forever" and that there will never be a SKID ROW reunion with Sebastian, Scott said: "Yeah. I believe so." He added: "I tell you what: our singer, ZP Theart, he's a brother, man. He's a great fucking singer, he's a great frontman, he's a guy I look forward to seeing, a guy I look forward to hanging out with. We trust him with the band that we've been in all this time, and that is precious to us. We can go out and play and enjoy ourselves."
Hill said that while he understands fans' desire to see a SKID ROW classic-lineup reunion, he won't forsake his emotional well-being for a bigger paycheck.
"People are, like, 'Hey, man, do it for the fans.' Not at the expense of my happiness, no," he said. "Sorry. It ain't fucking happening. 'But do it for the fans.' No.
"We appreciate fans — we do," he continued. "We're probably the most fan-friendly band you'll ever meet. I meet people all the time, and they say, 'You guys are so friendly, 'cause we met this band last week and they were assholes.' Or, 'We met this band' — we hear this shit all the time. We'll go out in the cold, we'll hang out with them, but what we won't do is put ourselves in a volatile situation and be unhappy and destroy what we have now."
Despite the fact that he is not keen to play in a group with Bach again, Hill is complimentary of his former bandmate's skills.
"He's not a rock star, he's a superstar, man," the guitarist said. "He's great, dude. I totally realize what he is. I'll speak for myself: he is a guy… he'll cut his own throat to do a good show. He puts it all out there. He's a great singer and a great frontman — one of the all-time greats. But we're not working together. To replace a guy like that is… Well, yeah, you realize what you're up against. People are, like, 'They have no idea…' Yeah, we have an idea — of course we do. But that was the only way to do it. And the records he did with SKID ROW are great — he did a great job. And he was just such a huge part of that. But it just can't happen. Replacing a guy like that, yeah, it's hard, it's hard."
Scotti also made it clear that he didn't fans to blame one member or another for the demise of SKID ROW's classic lineup and the failure of any previous reunion attempts.
"Everybody's, like, 'Oh, we're on SKID ROW's side,' or, 'We're on Sebastian's side.' No, no, no, no… You've gotta be on the side of rock and roll," he said. "And when Sebastian plays in your town, go see him, 'cause he's great. When SKID ROW plays in town, go see 'em… 'cause we'll fucking blow your ass away."
Grammy-nominated band RED will release its seventh studio album, "Declaration", on April 3 via Red Entertainment / The Fuel Music.
"Declaration" features lead singer Michael Barnes crisscrossing the anthemic breadth of RED's unique balance of raw refinement and poised aggression, blending nu metal and alternative hard rock with both classical and orchestral elements.
"This album is definitely a statement," notes Barnes. "There is a lot of raw energy and unfiltered emotion." Guitarist/writer Anthony Armstrong agrees: "The album is a culmination of all that we've seen and learned, everyone we've met and connected with over the past 15 years. All these experiences shaped our approach to making the statement that is this album."
The ten-song "Declaration" includes the lead single "The Evening Hate" and follow-up singles "From The Ashes", "Sever", "All For You" and "The War We Made", which has been heard live by a few hundred thousand music fans at arenas around the USA this year before COVID-19 interrupted tours worldwide.
Not content to just sit tight and wait for the world to begin working again before sharing the new music live, RED is partnering with YouTube Live and Facebook Live for a global "Declaration" event April 3 beginning at 9:00 a.m. (Los Angeles) / 12:00 noon (New York City / Rio de Janeiro) / 4:00 pm (London) / 7:00 pm (Moscow). During the event, they will perform acoustic renditions of the new music, as well as take questions from fans.
RED has always poured everything into the recording process but being independent took it to another level.
"My favorite memory from the recording process was how we finished," shares Barnes. "We were on tour with IN FLAMES but still had a couple songs to complete. The tour had a day off after Salt Lake City, so right after we played that show, Anthony and Dan [Johnson, drummer] rented a car and drove through the night to L.A. to track drums the next morning. Randy and I followed with the rest of the crew in the bus and arrived later in the day so I could track a bunch of vocals, including the bridge on 'The War We Made'. We then slept on the bus in front of the studio that night, went to another studio in Hollywood Hills the next day to finish tracking, and then played the tour show in L.A. that night. That rock 'n roll energy is all over this record!"
Since bursting on the scene with breakout single "Breathe Into Me" and album "End Of Silence" (2006), both certified gold, RED has built its career not only on music, but a visual representation of matching scope. From cross-album narrative-weaving music videos to pyrotechnic infused graphic-novel-come-to-life arena tours, the band delivers a multiple sensory spectacle. The result is an intense, emotional connection with a global audience, now spanning more than 20 No. 1 radio singles and three million albums sold/streamed worldwide.
WARRANT guitarist Erik Turner and his son Noah have used the coronavirus downtime to work up an acoustic version of the band's classic song "I Saw Red". Video of their rendition can be seen below.
WARRANT shared the clip on social media earlier today (Sunday, March 29), writing in an accompanying caption: "Since we are all at home and the WARRANT boys can't be together right now, Erik Turner thought it would be fun to play a song for everyone with his son Noah. So they whipped up their own version of WARRANT's song 'I Saw Red'. We hope you enjoy it.
"The Down Boys can't wait to get out on the road again and rock all your pretty faces off. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home".
The original version of "I Saw Red" appeared on the band's second album, "Cherry Pie", which came out in 1990. The LP is WARRANT's best-known and highest-selling release, having peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured the additional hits "Cherry Pie", "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Blind Faith".
Vocalist Robert Mason replaced original frontman Jani Lane in 2008 and has brought a degree of stability to the band after Lane's unceremonious departure and subsequent 2011 death.
WARRANT's latest album, "Louder Harder Faster", was released in 2017 via Frontiers Music Srl. The disc was recorded with producer Jeff Pilson — a veteran bassist who has played with DIO, FOREIGNER and DOKKEN, among others — and was mixed by Pat Regan, except for the song "I Think I'll Just Stay Here And Drink", which was mixed by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, PRONG, LAST IN LINE).
WARRANT continues to tour regularly in support of "Louder Harder Faster" and is rounded out by original members Joey Allen (guitar) and Steven Sweet (drums).

Australia's Victoria K is sharing their new video “The Haunting” in support of the forthcoming debut album Essentia due out April 24, 2020 via Rockshots Records. The full-length was produced by Lee Bradshaw and features special guest Michalina Malisz (Eluveitie).
Victoria K adds about the track:
"'The Haunting' is about a tortured past that relentlessly plays on your thoughts and keeps you captive at that point in time. Only when you do let go of these torturing thoughts and feelings can you actually move forward again."

Bon Jovi's new single, "Unbroken" (ft. The Invictus Games Choir), is out now. All proceeds will go to the Invictus Games Foundation, in support of the recovery and rehabilitation of international wounded, injured or sick military personnel.
“Unbroken” was recorded last month at London’s Abbey Road Studios. Prince Harry teased the song back in February, posting a video of him in the studio’s sound booth recording vocals alongside Jon Bon Jovi (see below).
“In light of what has come, you know, with his leaving the monarchy, as it were, I didn’t plan on any of this,” Bon Jovi told the BBC of the collaboration in February, noting that he sent Harry a letter asking him to be on the track. “But he said: ‘Not only am I going to come back [to England], you know, but I want to be there when you do it.’ And to do it at Abbey Road, of course where the Beatles once were; and to do it with the ‘artist formerly known as Prince,’ I think it’s gonna be an incredible, moving moment.”
