The rising stars on the Greek and European prog-scene Poem are releasing the first video off their 3rd album Unique, set for release worldwide on February 23rd through Vicisolum Records.
The video is once again a very emotional and theatrical stage, where Poem displays their amazing flair for bringing out the full spectrum of feelings within the human.
The directing and filming was done by Haris Kontouris of HK Visual Creation, as well as Panos Tzortzakis of FubART P&V, who have both previously worked with the band on videos.
Check out “False Morality” below:
The Unique album will be followed up by a European split headliner tour with the OZ melodic metal masters from Damnations Day and Romanian proggers White Walls as openers.
The Finnish female-fronted metal band Evil Drive are going to release their new album Ragemaker on March 30th, 2018 via Reaper Entertainment Europe. First single, video “Fire Is Her Name” is streaming below.
The video was produced by Finnish video director Tino-Viljami Vanhala in September 2017.
The band states:
“‘Fire Is Her Name’ is a traditional and straightforward band video. We believe that the song itself is strong enough to carry on through the song with no useless tricks or gimmicks. It‘s a kind of old-school video, it‘s simple but it also a bit splashy at the same time. ‘Fire Is erH Name’ is our first video with no actual script, and it was a refreshing way to work this way for a change. Maybe there will be more like this in the future or then not?
Singer Viktoria adds:
“‘Fire Is Her Name’ tells about a woman, a ‘Devil woman’. She is a strong, beautiful, explosive and unpredictable woman. Today she can be a lovely lady and tomorrow the devil has to pay. She has a goal, and she is committed to doing it. But nobody doesn't know how or when she will achieve her goal. Maybe it goes over; you can never know? When I started work these lyrics, I had no ambition to write anything with this name. I just took a pen and paper and wrote down the words. Perhaps those just escaped from the dark corners of my mind? If I'm speaking frankly, this character is a bit like me in real.”

Swedish psychedelic stoner doom collective Besvärjelsen, featuring within its ranks past members of Dozer, Greenleaf, Afgrund, Lastkaj, and V, will release their Vallmo debut this March via Suicide Records.
Besvärjelsen - Swedish for "conjuring" - was forged in 2014. Though clearly rooted in the realms of doom, within their engulfing sound lies traces of progressive metal, punk, folk, and classic rock 'n' roll all carefully weaved together resulting in a sound that is at once crushingly heavy and alluringly sophisticated. The band released their debut EP Villfarelser in 2015 which was followed by 2016's Exil EP. Both releases, though self-financed and released with little outside promotion, were well-received by Swedish media and even found airplay on Swedish National Radio.
Much of 2017 found Besvärjelsen composing the audio alchemy found on their first full-length studio offering Vallmo (Swedish for "poppy"). Vallmo more than ever showcases the band's enormous potential, the eight-track offering seamlessly wandering from crushing doom riffs to catchy vocals and melodies, deep lyrical content, and storming drum work, all topped by stunning guitar solos and, for the first time since the band's formation, songs in English as well as their native Swedish.
Besvärjelsen's Vallmo was captured at Studio Glashuset and Midlake Studios by guitarist/vocalist Andreas Baier and comes sheathed in the cover art of Blodpest with design by drummer Erik Bäckwall.
Vallmo will see release on vinyl and digital formats via by Suicide Records in cooperation with DalaPop on March 27th. Pre-orders will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, view the album trailer as well as a video for "Return To No Return" below.

Florida-based metal act, Yashira, has signed with Good Fight Music and has plans to release a new LP this spring.
"We’re beyond excited to get these songs out," says the band. "We’ve been working tirelessly on this album and the accompanying artwork since early 2016. The fact that such a solid label like Good Fight wanted to put the record out is just incredible. We’re super grateful.”
Yashira is also releasing a music video for their single "Redact (Flood)" (see below). Directed by Cameron Nunez, this is the first song the band is releasing from their upcoming LP.
The band continues, "This is some of the most aggressive material we’ve written and we feel the visual ideas Cameron brought to the table really accentuate the mood of the song.”
"Redact (Flood)" is also available as an iTunes instant gratification track. Meaning, fans who pre-order the LP on iTunes will get the single as an immediate download. Pre-order digitally here, or physically here.
The band will hit the road with Axis starting today. Kicking off in Gainesville, FL at The Atlantic, the tour will send the band up and down the east coast before wrapping up in Greensboro, NC at New York Pizza. All tour dates here.
The official music video for the song "Pale And Perfect" from WE SELL THE DEAD can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's debut album, "Heaven Doesn't Want You And Hell Is Full", which will be released on February 23 via earMUSIC.
Revolving around Niclas Engelin (IN FLAMES, ENGEL), DRÖMRIKET's Jonas Slättung, Gas Lipstick (former HIM drummer) and the voice of Apollo Papathanasio (SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, FIREWIND), WE SELL THE DEAD goes beyond the strains of conventional storytelling and create a multi-media experience of premium quality heavy metal music embedded in visually stimulating and atmospheric visuals.
Heavy-yet-melodic sounds transport the listener into a Victorian inspired world that is defined by pompous manors and daunting luxury standing in deep contrast to the harshness and cruelty of the gutter. It is a world that reeks of hysteria, but, above all, a sense of mysticism and dark romanticism. WE SELL THE DEAD's music rises above this, not merely pointing out this injustice, but expanding the narrative into the extreme, playing with themes of ghosts, death or religion.
But not only…
Despite a reference to Victorian times, WE SELL THE DEAD maintains a very modern and ever-so-current approach that translates to the world we live in today.
Explains Slättung: "From the late 1800, an era that has inspired our band enormously, comes one of the greatest and darkest crime mysteries of them all: Jack The Ripper. We don't know 100 percent who he was but we know his horrendous deeds. All the visuals we had in our mind, combined with the sometimes slightly morbid lyrics, made us think that this is what music would have sounded like if heavy metal had existed in the 19th century, or if Jack The Ripper had travelled forward in time to join a metal band. WE SELL THE DEAD would have been his natural choice for a backing band. He probably would have felt right at home with us.
"But, at the same time, the world hasn't exactly evolved into a beautiful place since the 1880s. In the 1979 movie, 'Time After Time', Jack The Ripper escapes justice by, indeed, fleeing in a time machine to 1979. After getting caught by his followers, The Ripper utters this line of wisdom: 'Back in 1893, I was a monster. Today... I'm an amateur.'"
"Heaven Doesn't Want You And Hell Is Full" will be released as a CD, LP and on digital.

The official music video for "Mindfucker", the title track of the 11th album from MONSTER MAGNET, can be seen below. Due on March 23 via Napalm, the disc "is different, a step forward and a step back at the same time to the almighty roots of hard rock music, kindled by the unpretentious proto-punk era," according to a press release. "Up-tempo, savage in both sound and spirit, 'Mindfucker' is the real deal! The album has the potential to surprise and to whip up the love for the genre, while still giving the sludgies and stoner freaks exactly what they wish for in a new MONSTER MAGNET album."
Commented MONSTER MAGNET leader Dave Wyndorf: "'Mindfucker' is a fuzzed out, headbangin' celebration of hard rock and 21st Century paranoia. Ten fuel-injected, nitro-burning tracks of fiery rock 'n' roll and garage psych madness, all done MONSTER MAGNET style. It's also an album that gets right to the point: the world is out of its fucking mind and I'm livin' it…. for better or worse. It's simple, really. In these crazy times, I've been wanting to just drive my car at 100 miles per hour and howl, you know what I mean? So I wrote songs I can do that with. And with lyrics that don’t deny the times we're living in. Feels good, feels right. Rock is alive, baby!"
MONSTER MAGNET guitarist Phil Caivano told Metal Express Radio in May 2016 that the band's follow-up to 2013's "Last Patrol" was "very aggressive, very straight-ahead, very 'Detroit.' Once again, [it's] back to some of our American roots. We did the 'space rock' thing on the last couple of records. Being the huge HAWKWIND fans we are, AMON DÜÜL fans, GROUNDHOGS fans… that whole thing. 'Last Patrol' was very, very influenced by space rock, and there'll always be elements of space rock in MONSTER MAGNET stuff, but we brought it back to what we were influenced by as kids, which would be the Detroit thing: STOOGES, MC5, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD. Very punchy, American… That's really what it is. All I can say is the word 'Detroit' always keeps coming to mind."
"Mindfucker" track listing:
01. Rocket Freak
02. Soul
03. Mindfucker
04. I'm God
05. Drowning
06. Ejection

MONSTER MAGNET's last release was "Cobras And Fire (The Mastermind Redux)", which came out in October 2015. The album was dubbed an "alternative listening experience" to the band's 2010 effort "Mastermind". The approach was similar to what MONSTER MAGNET did in 2014 when they took "Last Patrol", pulled the songs apart and rebuilt them as "Milking The Stars: A Re-Imagining Of Last Patrol".
MONSTER MAGNET is:
Dave Wyndorf (vocals, guitar)
Garrett Sweeny (guitar)
Phil Caivano (guitar)
Chris Kosnik (bass)
Bob Pantella (drums)
Danish death/black metal outfit, Crocell, has released a stop motion video for "Once Called Slaves", available for streaming below. The song is taken from Crocell's fifth album, Relics, which was recorded during the band's ten year anniversary in 2017 and will be released via LongLife Records on March 16th.
Referencing both early Crocell artwork and more than one cult film, the nightmarish music video was shot and edited by Lasse Frisk from Frisk Film and consists of close to 15,000 still photos.
Crocell drummer Andreas Posselt comments: "We were searching for a video producer when we came across Lasse, who wanted to try out some more grotesque and gory ideas compared to the work he had previously done with renowned Danish hiphop artists such as Per Vers and Ham Den Lange. After having discussed a few ideas with him, we decided to just let him loose - and this was what he came up with at the first go. It is exactly what we wanted and a perfect companion to both the music and lyrics!"
The album was produced by Jacob Olsen at JBO Sound and features hand-drawn artwork by BF.B, who has previously worked with Metal Magic Festival, Vomit Angel, Ligfaerd, and Departed Souls among others. The album will be available on CD and white vinyl and can be pre-ordered from the band's Bandcamp profile.

Legendary thrash/black metal power force, Necrodeath, have released a video for the song "The Triumph Of Pain", the first single from their upcoming album The Age Of Dead Christ, which will be available from March 9th via Scarlet Records (vinyl version on Terror From Hell Records). Watch the new clip below.
The Age Of Dead Christ is Necrodeath's 11th album, 33 years after their inception into the scene, when the now legendary demo tape The Shining Pentagram was released. 33 as the age of Christ, the dead Christ, as the title of the album says. Necrodeath go back to their roots releasing one of the fastest, most violent and brutal chapters in their deadly musical path. The cover resembles the typical artwork of the Eighties demo tapes and features the band's old logo.
The Age Of Dead Christ includes the song "The Return Of The Undead", a new version of the band’s classic "The Undead" (originally included on the 1987 debut album Into The Macabre), featuring yet another extreme metal legend on vocals, the mighty A.C. Wild of Bulldozer.
Drummer Peso comments: “Back to our black origins with thrashing brutality! The Age Of Dead Christ is a violent, loud punch in your blood thirsty mouth! Beware! Necrodeath are back to kick your asses and tear your bloody guts off!”

Frontiers Music Srl will release the debut album from REVERTIGO, a Stockholm, Sweden-based duo formed by Mats Levén (vocals) and Anders Wikström (guitar), on February 23. As close personal and musical friends for nearly 30 years, REVERTIGO is the next chapter in an ongoing collaboration.
The official video for the song "Sailing Stones" can be seen below.
Anders says: "Mats and I always had an idea of creating something that would celebrate the fact that we really enjoy working together, but with busy separate music careers, it wasn't until 2016, we sat down and concentrated on new songs with a firm plan."
Adds Mats: "The fact that we, besides writing for other international artists, hadn't done a proper album together in twenty-five years also gave the writing and recording process of REVERTIGO a purpose."
In September 2016, a three-song demo found its way to Frontiers Music Srl, which decided to sign the band on the spot. In between touring activities with CANDLEMASS, TREAT and TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the pair finalized the eleven songs featured on the debut album. All the instruments on the album are played by Mats and Anders, except for the drums, which were performed by their dear friend Thomas Broman (GREAT KING RAT, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, ELECTRIC BOYS).
"Both of us have a strong mutual vision; that's why we choose to play and sing most of the instruments and parts on the album ourselves," says Mats. Peter Mansson is responsible for the mixing duties, which took place at Mir Studios in Stockholm and Svante Forsbäck mastered at Chartmakers in Helsinki.
REVERTIGO's music itself is a blend of heavy-yet-melodic songs paying tribute to their favorite albums and artists from the '70s, '80s and up to present day filtered through the chemistry that comes to life when Mats and Anders join forces.
"I love when you get that teenage excitement together over a song idea, and how you hear a finished gem in your head, hence the band's name REVERTIGO," says Mats.
"We might not be reinventing the wheel, but we're certainly putting on fresh tires," says Anders.

PAPA ROACH has unveiled the Bryson Roatch-directed music video for "Born For Greatness". The track is taken from the band's ninth studio album, "Crooked Teeth", which was released last May via Eleven Seven Music.
Featuring galvanizing performances from Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham, Jen Bricker and Jean Sok — three talented individuals who refuse to be limited by physical challenges — the clip is a testament to the limitless possibilities within all of us.
"This video is to showcase to the world that no matter your struggle and/or adversity, you are born for greatness," says PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix.
Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham was born with spina bifida, a birth defect of the spinal cord. Fotheringham has gone on to become a professional WCMX (wheelchair motocross) athlete. He completed the first ever wheelchair front flip while touring the world with Nitro Circus.
Jen Bricker was born without legs and her heart on the opposite side of her chest. "Never say can't" is her motto. The professional aerialist has toured the world and performed with global superstars, including Britney Spears.
Jean Sok is a breakdancer with only one leg. Employing "b-boy" style techniques, Sok incorporates his crutches into his moves, using them as an extension of his arms. He gained international acclaim as a performer for Cirque Du Soliel's "Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour" and "Michael Jackson One".
PAPA ROACH will tour with A DAY TO REMEMBER in February and March before launching a North American headline tour with support from NOTHING MORE and ESCAPE THE FATE on April 5.

Stiigma was recorded at DOME Studio by David Potvin, in Avrillé, France. Poduced, engineered, mixed & mastered by Nick Jett (Terror, Backtrack, Lionheart) & Beyond The Styx.

British heavy metal vocalist Blaze Bayley (IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE) will release the third album in his "Infinite Entanglement" trilogy on March 2.
The new album, called "The Redemption Of William Black", is the highly anticipated third part of the trilogy, bringing the sci-fi concept to a conclusion.
This will be the tenth album of Blaze's solo career, following his rise to global fame as singer with IRON MAIDEN (1994-1999). He was chosen for the MAIDEN role after coming to notice with his first band WOLFSBANE, based around home city of Birmingham, England, which is now the location for the recording of all his more recent solo releases.
The past three or four years has been an exciting period in Blaze's career, with a real sense of purpose, increased sales and media attention, not least with the recent front cover of Powerplay magazine (November 2017 issue), together with a three-page tour report from North America. Blaze received further recognition when voted by fans as the 67th best singer of all time in Sweden Rock Magazine, while a guest performance with DISTURBED at the U.K.'s premier music festival Download was another highlight.
"The Redemption Of William Black" has been co-written with Chris Appleton of fellow British metal band ABSOLVA. Chris, who also co-produces the album, is lead guitarist and backing vocalist in Blaze's band for recording and touring, together with his ABSOLVA bandmates Martin McNee (drums) and Karl Schramm (bass and backing vocals).
Special guests on the album include FOZZY singer Chris Jericho, also of WWE fame, for whom Blaze has specially created a character within the "Infinite Entanglement" story. Also, on choir duty is Luke Appleton (ICED EARTH bassist and ABSOLVA rhythm guitarist), as well as Michelle Sciarrotta (choir/voice actor), Jo Robinson (choir), Mel Adams (choir), Liz Owen (backing vocals/choir), Aine Brewer (voice actor) and Rob Toogood (choir/voice actor).

Finnish death/sludge unit Black Royal will unleash their debut album, Lightbringer, this March via Suicide Records.
A truly dense and obliterating offering both musically and thematically, the ten-track Lightbringer centers itself on mankind's utter failure in finding inner strength and the meaningless trust in fake ideologies. "Faith is, more or less, a consequence of fear and ignorance," elaborates the band. "Mankind's quest for meaning is greater than their ability to understand that we hold the key to our own potential and inner strength. This act against the original plan of The Elders and The Wise has led mankind to the brink of their own intellectual extinction. To survive, mankind must abandon the power of religious dogmas and evolve by the strength from one's inner self. Time has come for the Lightbringer to enthrone and steer man back to the path of free thought and prove wrong their false choices (the reason for current global chaos). Now is time for the new world order. It won't be divine."
Black Royal's thundering Lightbringer will see release on CD, LP, and digital formats via Swedish-Finnish label Suicide Records on March 9th with pre-orders to be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, sample the band's new video for opening album bruiser, "Cryo-Volcanic", below.

"Self-Worship"
"Salvation"
"Denial"
"Pentagram Doctrine"
"Lightbringer"
"The Chosen"
"Dying Star"
"New World Order"
"Ou[t]roboros"
"Cryo-Volcanic" video:
Hailing from Tampere, Finland, Black Royal was forged in 2013. The quartet's music combines modern sludge with '90s death metal, classic seventies influences, epic choruses and unconventional arrangements, resulting in a distinctly alluring sound often and accurately described as "death blues." Inspired by beer and occult teachings, their music is laced with distortion and growls proclaiming various themes from free thought to the perils of organized religion.
Following two critically-lauded EPs - The Summoning Pt.1 and Pt.2, released in 2015 and 2016 respectively - the band was signed by Swedish-Finnish label Suicide Records and unleashed the Dying Star seven-inch/digital single, serving as the first taste of Black Royal's imminent Lightbringer debut, coming at you this spring.

Jukka - drums, percussion
Pete - bass, backing vocals, acoustic guitar

Nuclear Blast Entertainment will release the new album from Tax The Heat, Change Your Position, on March 9th, 2018. The album will be available as CD and digital. A video for the title track can be found below.
Change Your Position is the follow up to the 2016 critically-acclaimed debut album Fed To The Lions. The new album sees the band take a huge step forward as both songwriters and performers. The band's unique blend of fuzz-driven rock with a modern alternative twist has won them a legion of fans. The album stamps its authority right from the off with the taut "Money In The Bank" (also the first single). From the staccato stomp of "Playing With Fire" to the huge riffs of "Cut Your Chains," from the garage rock of "On The Run" to the slow groove and instant lyrical hit of "All That Medicine". Change Your Position is a lean, focused album loaded with an energy that is set to propel the band to headline status.
The driving rhythms of Jack Taylor (drums) and Antonio Angotti (bass) are overlaid with the powerful riffs of JP Jacyshyn (guitars) and distinctive melodies of Alex Veale (vocals, guitars).
"If an album is about capturing a band or artist at a certain point, Change Your Position might have happened at the perfect time. As a band we toured, found our sound, found our place and took inspiration from a world in utter chaos. With Change Your Position we pushed ourselves creatively as hard as we could and it took us further into ourselves than we expected - we hope it's apparent to the listener." - Alex Veale

Emmure have unleashed the pulverizing, new live performance video for "Natural Born Killers", which comes off the group's latest effort, Look At Yourself (Sharptone Records).
Look At Yourself represents a coming of age for Emmure, a new chapter in an aggressive autobiography that stretches back to the band’s very first album, released when Palmeri was barely out of his teens. It’s infused with a brutal self-examination and observation, balancing hate, bile and perseverance, with the tempered experience of a life spent in pursuit of self-reliance and respect, from within and without. It’s expressed in a crushing cacophony of riffs that never fail to super-serve the forward-motion groove of Emmure!

Washington, D.C.-based metal quintet DARKEST HOUR has released an official music video for the song "Enter Oblivion". The clip was directed by DARKEST HOUR vocalist John Henry with director of photography Ben Hoffman and produced and edited by Chad Fjerstad.
"Enter Oblivion" is taken from DARKEST HOUR's 11th LP, "Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora", which was released in 2017 through Southern Lord.
Henry states about the video, "I wanted to find a location that I felt would represent the nomadic theme of the song. When I came across Rainbow Basin outside of Barstow, I immediately knew it was the right spot. There's a real beauty about the bleakness and harshness of the desert which stands out as the true star of the video."
Adds guitarist Mike Schleibaum: "We chose the song 'Enter Oblivion' because it shows a different side of the album then we first presented. This song sits in the middle of the album and although it doesn't crush with the same speed as the others it presents a depth that is all its own. The style of this song really allows for the band to breath sonically and the production of Kurt Ballou to really stand out on this track, especially in those drums! This is song for those who live outside of the borders of man and the laws of nature. For those who have found themselves in the act of constantly searching."
Produced by Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) at his GodCity studo, "Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora" continues to solidify the long-running DARKEST HOUR's legacy as a major metal powerhouse. Raw, complex, melodic, yet cutting with razor blade precision, is is a fierce album which shows the long-running band as lethal and ravenous as ever.
Following several crushing runs through different regions of North America in support of the album, DARKEST HOUR is about to embark on the first of two new upcoming tours in two weeks. Beginning February 16, the band will storm across the eastern U.S. through February 25, with support from WHORES and EXTINCTION A.D.
DARKEST HOUR has also announced another new tour in recent days, which sees them hitting Europe this spring. The trek runs from April 5 to April 29 and also features CEPHALIC CARNAGE, HARLOTT and HAVOK.
