Norwegian hard rockers Magick Touch reveal their new video "Under The Gun". The track is the first glimpse of the band's forthcoming second album, Blades, Chains, Whips & Fire, which shall see international release early next year via Edged Circle Productions.
Magick Touch are a power trio from the southwestern coastal town of Bergen, Norway. The band - HK Rein on guitar and vocals, Bård Nordvik on drums, and Christer Ottesen on bass and vocals - formed in 2014 and released their debut album, Electrick Sorcery, through Edged Circle in 2015.
As the trio encompasses at least two singers and three songwriters, Magick Touch is almost like getting several bands for the price of one. Even more so than their celebrated debut, Blades, Chains, Whips & Fire plays this out with absolute (and absolutely addicting) aplomb. The vocals are characterful indeed, blending into slick harmonies on infectious choruses whilst Rein’s wah-drenched solos are splendidly delivered. Once again, this is that rich 'n' rewarding middle point between hard rock and heavy metal, and Magick Touch finesse it with a truly magickal touch.

Since their debut offering Under Reprisal (2006), which won the "Canadian Recording Of The Year Award" at the Hamilton Music Awards, Threat Signal became internationally recognized as one of the most interesting modern acts in thrash metal. Copenhagen-based modern hardcore group Psy:Code have released the official video for "Paralyzed," a track from new album MØRKE.
The band issued the following statement about the video: "We've chosen not to appear in this video, but to keep focus on the emotions that fit the song perfectly. With this amount of videos, it is important for us that they are very different. The video is made from the short film 'Unwind' which has been cut to pieces, and assembled to fit the track. The song is about a dear friend who we almost lost due to a critical surgery. We hope you enjoy this short emotional ride."

British/American hard rock legends DEEP PURPLE are setting sail into new waters with their first-ever animated video.
The official clip for "The Surprising", one of the fan-favorite tracks from the band's latest album, "inFinite", takes the viewer on a journey through the magical fifty-year history of the band. With high attention to detail, the animated masterpiece follows the five heroes of our story — Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Don Airey and Steve Morse — through a stormy ship cruise full of allusions and sees them riding off into the sunset.
The video, which can be seen below, was directed and illustrated by Matt Rooke, alongside director Peter Rogers, who also produced the video together with Craig Hooper and Collin Games, known from the DEEP PURPLE movie documentary "From Here To inFinite". DEEP PURPLE and earMUSIC have also announced the release of the ninety-seven-minute documentary "From Here To inFinite", which is due out in November. It shows the history and origin of "inFinite" and provides a deep insight into the workings of the band for the first time on Blu-ray.
The Blu-ray further includes two hours of bonus material, including music videos such as "The Surprising", three previously unreleased live videos ("Time For Bedlam", "Birds of Prey" and "Smoke On The Water"), all filmed and recorded at Hellfest 2017, as well as in-depth behind-the-scenes footage, movie documentary outtakes, interviews, and an audio commentary by DEEP PURPLE themselves — all previously unreleased. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has released a music video for the song "Ain't My Last Dance". The track is taken from the band's latest album, "Got Your Six", which came out in 2015.
"We thought this was the perfect song to address the various rumours circulating out there," said guitarist Zoltan Bathory. "Ivan [Moody, vocals] is doing great and the band is firing on all cylinders. Not just isn't this our 'last dance,' but as we are gearing up for the European tour, we are kicking it up a notch and building our biggest stage show to date."
As previously reported, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is still waiting to get a release date for its new album, nearly one year after the disc was completed.
The band delivered its follow-up to "Got Your Six" to Prospect Park several months ago, but a legal battle with the company has delayed the LP's arrival.
"We finished a record," FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Jason Hook told the WRIF radio station. "Some people may or may not know, but we got into a legal tangle with our label. So we submitted this record in December [of 2016]. It's finished. They have it, and they're trying to decide what they wanna do with it, which is a drag. But we do have a finished record."
Saying that the the new FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH disc turned out "killer," Hook revealed that the effort will contain "sixteen new songs. Some of the stuff will be right in line with what people want and expect from the band, and then some of it, again, we took some chances, tried to branch out a little bit to see if it would work, and some of that stuff wound up on the record," he said.
Hook added that he loves making albums because "it's exciting to add to our catalog and to be creative.
"When you're done with a record, you sit back and listen to it and you go, 'Fuck! That's pretty cool. We did that. We made it. We made another one,'" he said. "So I like it. Plus I get to sleep in my own bed [while we are recording the album in Las Vegas], which is nice."
Hook also touched upon the issues surrounding Moody, whose struggles with substance abuse had forced him to miss a number of shows last year and this past spring. The frontman also made headlines with a bizarre 2015 onstage meltdown in Memphis and a disastrous performance this past June in Tilburg.
"Look, it's never that bad," Hook said. "It's not that bad. I mean, basically, when you're in the public eye, you can't stumble without everybody knowing about it. That is part of it that you have to learn to deal with.
"Everybody has their Monday morning at work, and sometimes ours falls on Saturday night," he reasoned.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH filed a new lawsuit against Prospect Park in April, asking a judge to release them from their contract and order the company to pay over a million dollars in damages.
The label sued FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in 2016 for breach of contract, alleging that the group wanted to rush the recording of a new album. The band signed a new North American recording deal with Rise Records last year.
POWER QUEST, the renowned melodic power metal band based in the U.K., has released the official music video for the song "Lords Of Tomorrow", the second single from its long-awaited sixth album, "Sixth Dimension". The disc will be released on October 13 via Inner Wound Recordings in Europe and USA and on October 11 in Japan via Marquee/Avalon.
"Sixth Dimension" was mastered by Jens Bogren (DRAGONFORCE, SYMPHONY X, ARCH ENEMY) and the artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco (BLIND GUARDIAN, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, ICED EARTH). The official music video for the song "Doublespeak" from Illinois's VEIL OF MAYA can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "False Idol", which will be released on October 20 via Sumerian Records. The disc is described in a press release as "a marked sonic evolution — it's more hypnotic, heavier, and hits harder than ever before. 'False Idol' also encodes a curious narrative underneath a maelstrom of polyrhythmic guitars, sweeping vocals, and shuddering beats."
"The whole album is told from a first-person perspective", explains vocalist Lukas Magyar. "You're following this character, who's not the nicest person, and he rises to power. You'll have to listen to find out what happens — it's a very dark storyline."
"It felt more like we were making a movie or a TV series," guitarist Marc Okubo adds. "Lukas actually had a storyboard idea that we talked about before even starting. It's almost like we were providing the soundtrack in VEIL OF MAYA's template."
The seeds for this widescreen ambition can be traced back to 2015's "Matriarch", which bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and spawned the band's biggest hit to date in the form of "Mikasa" — the video racked up over 5.2 million YouTube views and 5.1 million Spotify streams. The album also earned critical acclaim from Billboard, Alternative Press, New Noise Magazine and more.
The release of "Matriarch" saw VEIL OF MAYA hit the road with the likes of ANIMALS AS LEADERS, UPON A BURNING BODY, VOLUMES, CHELSEA GRIN, OCEANS ATE ALASKA and other heavy hitters, as well as performing on the Vans Warped Tour. Then, in late 2016, the band headed to Los Angeles to record what would become "False Idol". Marc Okubo worked with producer Max Schad in one studio, while Lukas Magyar teamed up with vocal producer Brandon Paddock in another.
"Working in two studios at the same time was a new approach for us," says Marc. "In the past, we completed all of the instrumentals for Lukas to then marinate on. Everything was done by the time he joined the band, but this is the first time we got to write with his voice in mind. And another change was that he was writing on the spot — it brought a different energy and ended up being really cool. Working with Max [Schad] made a big difference too."
The end product is a darker and heavier vibe, with first single "Overthrow" effortlessly moving from a crushing tidal wave of riffs into a soaring, striking clean refrain. It taps into the expansive energy of signature fan favourites, whilst elevating the group to a new level. In "False Idol", VEIL OF MAYA have an album that crushes pulverizing power with an unforgettable narrative in the landscape of their most definitive work to date.
"We wanted to create something fresh," Lukas explains. "We didn't recycle the same old thing. It's a new beginning."

"Walk The Earth", the new video from Swedish hard rockers EUROPE, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES and KAMELOT, among others.
"Walk The Earth" is the title track of EUROPE's new album, which will be released on October 20 via the band's own Hell & Back label through Silver Lining Music. The follow-up to 2015's "War Of Kings" was laid down at London, England's legendary Abbey Road studios and was produced by Dave Cobb, who also helmed the band's last disc. "War Of Kings" was the record that made the rock world realize what a formidable act EUROPE had become, then "Walk The Earth" is the album that is set to establish the band as one of the most exciting contemporary rock acts of current times. "We're simply a different band today," says lead singer Joey Tempest.
"Ever since we started up again in 2004, we have constantly explored our limits and new parts of our musical universe. After around a thousand shows, we feel comfortable just improvising, jamming and pushing our lyrics and songwriting with much more ease.
"We have now been together recording and making albums longer than the early period of the band. Five albums in the '80s and '90s. Now six records with 'Walk The Earth'.
"When we started up again in 2004, we all agreed to think 'long term,' to take the long road and build up a new relationship with listeners and media. EUROPE last year completed a short European tour during which the band played "The Final Countdown" album in its entirety to celebrate the LP's thirtieth anniversary.
A recording of the band's "The Final Countdown" performance at London's legendary Roundhouse was released on July 21.

"This Is Why We Ride" is taken from BODY COUNT's latest album, "Bloodlust", which was released on March 31 via Century Media Records.
"Bloodlust" was recorded with producer Will Putney (MISS MAY I, UPON A BURNING BODY), who also helmed 2014's "Manslaughter". Ice-T told Revolver magazine about the "Bloodlust" album title: "Bloodlust is part of the human makeup. Murder is about as normal as love. It's in our nature to want to get violent and kill, but we know there are consequences. That's why we like violent movies, video games and combat sports. It's in our DNA. It's what we are."

Finnish groove outfit, Profane Omen, have finished recording their fifth studio album. The album, produced by Juho Räihä at Petrax and Soundspiral Studio, is their first since their 2014 album Reset and is planned for an early-2018 release.
In addition to this, Profane Omen will be releasing an entirely-acoustic album with completely new songs, which will only be made available through a pre-sale, which has yet to be announced.
To celebrate the completion of the recording, the sextet have released the video for their first single, ”The Tune Of The Damned", taken from the acoustic side. "The Tune Of The Damned" sees Profane Omen dishing out their groovy, melodic hybrid of clever melodies, intricate hooks and fast rhythms. It has a unique sound to it, that many fans of folk, thrash and heavy metal will appreciate, where the vitriol and vivacity of Profane Omen can still be felt even without the layers of heavy guitar and drums.
This double album is the first since original bassist Tuomas "Tomppa" Saarenketo made his return to Profane Omen.
The band said of their upcoming album: "On top of the fact that we had two basses for the first time, the songwriting process was also different.We wanted to recreate the sound of this band and we want to think that we succeeded. This is Profane Omen."
The band are choosing to remain quiet on the concept, name and details of the album at this point in time. However, more will be revealed in due course. To hear some songs ahead of the album release, the band will be playing the Lost In Music Festival on October 7th in Tampere, Finland, also featuring Battle Beast, S-Tool and IKINÄ.

Italian bassist and composer Alberto Rigoni (Vivaldi Metal Project, TwinSpirits, Kim Bingham) has released a video for "Kyoto's Gardens”, featuring Ryo Okumoto (Spock's Beard, Phil Collins). The track is featured on Alberto’s new album, Duality, released last month.
On this track Alberto uses the Ibanez Ashula II, hybrid Fretless/Fretted bass which give an unique sound to the song.

"Room Of Nightmares", the new video from BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming tenth full-length album, "Grimmest Hits", which will be released January 19, 2018 via Entertainment One (eOne).
The "Room Of Nightmares" video was directed by BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's longtime collaborator Justin Reich. The song is available on all digital service providers and streaming services. It is also an iTunes instant-gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the album on iTunes will receive "Room Of Nightmares" as an instant download.

In an interview with Full Metal Jackie, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY leader Zakk Wylde, who rejoined Ozzy Osbourne's solo band earlier in the year, stated about BLS's upcoming activities: "In between the breaks and in between my nail appointments, the shaving of my legs, we've actually made another BLACK LABEL album. So that'll be coming out in the New Year. We gotta pick our spots where we want to put records in there. So the whole thing is, we were in The Black Vatican [Zakk's home studio], we made another album so that'll be coming out in the New Year and then the BLACK LABEL armada will start rolling in the New Year."
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's latest studio album, "Catacombs Of The Black Vatican", sold around 26,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"Catacombs Of The Black Vatican" was released in Europe on April 7, 2014 via Mascot Label Group and one day later in North America through eOne Music.
Prior to the release of "Catacombs Of The Black Vatican", BLACK LABEL SOCIETY amicably parted ways with longtime guitarist Nick Catanese and replaced him with Dario Lorina (LIZZY BORDEN).

"Renegade", the new video from HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's fifth full-length album, "V" (Five), which will be released on October 27.
HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD's Johnny 3 Tears stated about the track: "I hope this song and video can inspire kids to believe that they can change the world, and it's up to them if it's for the better or worse. The truth is that the kids of today are the renegades of tomorrow."
Regarding "V", Johnny 3 Tears said: "We're five brothers, and this is our fifth record. Nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said 'Five', it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to 'No. 5' from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans supporting us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us."
HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD's new set of dates in support of "V" will begin on September 30 at the Louder Than Life festival. For all U.S. headline shows, BUTCHER BABIES will serve as direct support.
SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan has shared "The Spaniards", the second track off his forthcoming Rick Rubin-produced solo album, "Ogilala". The ethereal song is available now at all digital retailers.
"Ogilala" is due for release on October 13 via BMG and is available for pre-order now. Fans who pre-order the album will receive instant downloads of "The Spaniards" and previously released track "Aeronaut".
Corgan also shared an accompanying music video for "The Spaniards", which can be seen below. Directed by longtime collaborator Linda Strawberry, the clip is comprised of scenes from Corgan's recently announced silent film set to the music of "Ogilala", "Pillbox". Inspired by a hero's journey, "Pillbox" was written by Corgan, and directed by Corgan alongside Strawberry. The film will premiere next month with four sold-out screenings in London, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
This Sunday, Corgan will debut new material from "Ogilala" at a special live performance for Berlin Live. Fans around the globe can tune in to a live stream of the performance on October 1 at 7:00 p.m. CET here.
Corgan announced "Ogilala" last month and shared its striking first track "Aeronaut". Recorded at Shangri La studios in Malibu, "Ogilala" presents Corgan's distinctive vocals and melodies across a sparse, but rich palette of acoustic guitar, piano, and strings.

This fall, Corgan will embark on a solo acoustic North American tour that kicks off on October 14 in Brooklyn, New York and wraps up on November 11 in Los Angeles, California with a three-night stint at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. These intimate performances will see Corgan perform songs from "Ogilala", as well as a second set which will span works from his earliest days through his years as the frontman of THE SMASHING PUMPKINS and beyond.
