Coming off the success of the band's recent tour with RISE AGAINST, PIERCE THE VEIL has debuted the video for its new single, "Today I Saw The Whole World". Directed by Dan Fusselman (NECK DEEP, SILVERSUN PICKUPS, AUGUST BURNS RED), the clip complements the track's high-energy dynamic with a fiery compilation of live performances by the San Diego rock group.
"I grew up watching massive amounts of MTV music videos throughout the '90s," recalls lead PIERCE THE VEIL singer/songwriter Vic Fuentes. "I would record all of my favorites on VHS tape, watching them over and over until the tape wore out.
"Our new video was inspired by some of these artists that I loved back then like the BEASTIE BOYS, CYPRESS HILL and MARILYN MANSON. We wanted to use this '90s look to visually express the lyrics and fury inside of the song."
"Today I Saw The Whole World" is taken from PIERCE THE VEIL's latest album, "Misadventures", which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Lyrically, the disc is a flood of emotions, recently revealed truths and reflections of new realities — the suicide of a past love, the Paris terror attacks, the online intimidation of a girlfriend by crazed fans, self-worth and an individual's ability to shine, and the challenge of a cunning betrayal.

Black metal terrorists, Sicarius, plunge their dagger ever deeper with today’s premiere of their intense new clip, “Ferox Impetum”, off their forthcoming album, Serenade Of Slitting Throats, out this Friday the 13th of October.
"”Ferox Impetum” is a quick banger of a battle anthem - very direct and to the point,” cites guitarist Argyris. “Director Andrew Knudsen (Empyrean Throne) and I hashed out some ideas and we came up with the overall mood of the video. He interviewed a few camera teams and Zack Yan was the most promising. Everyone involved delivered 100%. It was the easiest video shoot I’ve been a part of, but our vocalist, K. Karcass, kept falling into the mass of rusted barbed wire so he was just gashed up by the end of the shoot. Pretty rad.”
Sicarius, meaning contract killer or assassin in Latin, formed three years ago in Southern California, and pay homage to the black metal greats of the early ‘90s, yet inject a modern high-velocity method to deliver their brand of bludgeoning and savage music. Ruthless, lethal and foul, Serenade Of Slitting Throats will be released via M-Theory Audio this Friday, featuring artwork by Misanthropic Art (Bolzer, Hate Eternal, Craft), and produced by Anaal Nathrakh’s Mick Kenney at Barrack Studios.

JoNo started as a solo project of singer Johan Norrby (hence the moniker "JoNo"), who has been singing, writing, and playing music in various bands and projects over the years. This is very much true for all the members of the band. Guitarist Stefan Helleblad is also a member of Dutch symphonic sensations Within Temptation. Drummer Nicka Hellenberg actually played all the drums on Within Temptation's The Unforgiving and has an impressive resume involving bands and recordings. Both keyboard player Johan Carlgren and bass player Janne Henriksson are frequently hired for both live and studio sessions. Leo Olsson - also a busy musician - joined the band in 2015.
JoNo's music is hard to pinpoint. Maybe it's best described as melodic rock with symphonic and progressive elements, always based on strong melodies with bombastic arrangements. Dynamics and a contemporary, fat sound are important ingredients in the JoNo musical recipe. Their music has been said to show the influence of great artists like Queen, Supertramp, Kansas, Journey and Sparks, but above all the band has received a lot of credit and praise because of their unique sound.

Portland rockers RED FANG have released the animated video for "Not For You", directed by Balázs Gróf. The track is taken from the band's latest album, "Only Ghosts", which was released last October via Relapse. The disc was produced by Ross Robinson, who has previously worked with SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA and KORN, among many others. The effort was recorded last year at Robinson's Venice, California studio.
RED FANG will kick off its headline U.S. West Coast tour on October 17 in Eugene, Oregon. Support on the trek will come from ONCE & FUTURE BAND, FIREBALL MINISTRY and ALL SOULS on select dates. RED FANG will close out the year with a European tour supporting MASTODON and RUSSIAN CIRCLES through November and December. England’s Voodoo Six certainly has a way of walking the line between heavy and melodic, delivering driving, contemporary rock with an undercurrent of blues and cut through with killer riffs. And this impressive approach is on display throughout their fourth album, Make Way For The King.
Produced by Tom Fletcher (Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Lukather, YES, Scorpions) and due out Friday, October 13th, the album - which was recorded in Los Angeles - boasts twelve brand new tracks, and can be pre-ordered here.
The album’s title track is the perfect summary of the band’s sound, of which a video was recently filmed, and can be viewed below.
Comprised of members Nik Taylor-Stoakes (lead Vocals, who makes his debut with the band on this record), Matt Pearce (guitar), Tony Newton (bass) and Joe Lazarus (drums), the band explains the song’s meaning as, “A quirky song about Elvis and how people get treated like Gods.”
An incredibly consistent listen from beginning to end, the band offered up some personal favorites of the bunch - “'Amen' was written about the Paris France Bataclan tragedy, which unfortunately continues to happen. ‘Electric’ is a song about a music journalist we met, an egotist.”
And the name of the band’s bassist may be familiar to one of the world’s top metal acts, Iron Maiden, as he produced their latest live album, The Book Of Souls: The Live Chapter, and additionally, Voodoo Six has toured all over Europe, notably as special guests for Iron Maiden, and for Steve Harris’ British Lion, but have also performed four times at the Download Festival and twice at Sonisphere.
Founding member Newton said of the new record and fresh start for the band, “It feels like this is the right time for us to return. We’re incredibly proud of the new material and can’t wait both for people to enjoy Make Way For The King at home but also to join us for what are going to be some amazing live shows!”

The official visualizer video for "Crown Of Electrodes", a brand new song from the cult U.K. doom/sludge outfit IRON MONKEY, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's first new full-length in almost two decades, "9-13", which will be released on October 20 via Relapse Records.
After disbanding in 1999 due to the death of their original singer J.P. Morrow, the group has reformed for phase two of their mission.
Recorded in IRON MONKEY's hometown of Nottingham in spring 2017 with producer Johnny A. Carter, "9-13" is nine songs and forty-eight minutes of total nihilism. Now older, more cynical and more isolationist, the band is back to usurp the scene, then crush its skull.

Heavily influenced by the nihilistic sound of groups like EYEHATEGOD, BUZZOV*EN, FLOOR and GRIEF, IRON MONKEY originally formed in Nottingham, England in 1994 and released two full-lengths (1997's self-titled debut and 1998's "Our Problem"), a live album and a split with CHURCH OF MISERY before splitting in 1999. Now, almost two decades later, the band has decided to reform as a trio with co-founding members S. Watson on bass and J. Rushby on guitar/vocals. They're rounded out by new member S. Briggs (CHAOS U.K.,) who also played with original IRON MONKEY vocalist J.P. Morrow in the short-lived sludge supergroup MY WAR.

"SAY10" is taken from Manson's latest album, "Heaven Upside Down", which was released on October 6. On the disc, he reunites with producer and film composer Tyler Bates following an epic collaboration on Manson's critically acclaimed 2015 release, "The Pale Emperor".
Marilyn Manson canceled nine shows of his "Heaven Upside Down" tour following an incident on September 30 when he was injured after a stage prop fell on him while he was playing in New York City.
Manson's next performance is expected to take place on October 15 at Grand Prairie, Texas's Freaker's Ball.
The accident happened about forty-five minutes into Manson's set at Hammerstein Ballroom as tried to climb the prop — consisting of two enormous fake pistols — which was almost double his height. The huge prop toppled and knocked Manson to the stage.

Madame Mayhem has released her new video for “All Around The World” to help kick off the release campaign for her forthcoming new album and European tour this fall with Fozzy.
Madame Mayhem comments on the song and video: “‘All Around The World’ is really about feeling like it's you against the world, and racing against time.
“It's about the pressures to succeed in such a short amount of time, people thinking they know best, and are lost in their own worlds, only concerned about themselves. In this rat race we all live in today, it's getting harder and harder to break through, even if you work your ass off. The song is upbeat, kind of a more pop punk ish vibe.
“The music video was done by Industrialism Films, whom I have worked on other music videos with (Monster, Left For Dead).
“It's a really cool concept about the monitored world today and how we as people forget how to function or get out of our own heads because of it.
“People are constantly being monitored by someone all around the world. However each person seems to live in their own technologically created world inside their head. People no longer interact. It doesn't matter where on the planet you live, everyone is really being the same. Someone's always watching us, yet we're living within ourselves, not paying attention to anything but our own lives.”
Madame Mayhem is a true rocker with an eclectic style in every aspect of life - merging theatricality with hard-hitting, rocking tunes. And on October 20th, she will be unveiling a brand new album, Ready For Me (via Metalville label in the UK and Europe, and HeadBall Records in the US). I noticed it only afterwards that audiences are really getting 'the dirt' on me through this album. I was super honest, vulnerable, and didn't hold back during the writing process of these songs. Corey Lowery and I are a great team because he makes me feel comfortable to spill my guts during writing sessions, and during recordings, to re live these situations I am writing about so whoever is listening gets all of what we wanted to give.

This song is also hard hitting and the vibes from the verse-pre chorus-chorus, even the breakdown and solo take you through the different stages of the feelings one can go through when dealing with traumatic experiences; and the relief you have when you finally tell a loved one or anyone that thing that you tried to bury inside you that you didn’t know was holding you back.”). Plus, the album-closing title track. “’Ready For Me’ is the name of the album and the 13th/final track on the record. I thought it would be a strong album title because it's basically - Are you ready for me? I don't think you're ready for me; ready for me or not, here I am.”).

Los Angeles metal titans WINDS OF PLAGUE have debuted an all-new music video today for their brand new track "Kings Of Carnage". Former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen is bringing the festive season early with the release of her brand new Christmas album, "From Spirits And Ghosts (Score For A Dark Christmas)", on November 17.
The album includes eleven Christmas classics and brings them to a never-before-seen level, uniquely blending Tarja's classically trained voice with darker gothic influences.
Utilizing the sound of a grand orchestra, the successful Finnish solo artist puts a sinister spin on traditional songs like "O Tannenbaum", "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" and "Feliz Navidad", reminding the listener of a dark movie score.
Besides covering classic carols, "From Spirits And Ghosts" features a twelfth track, the brand new original song "Together". This song is aligned with the dark sound of the album and embodies the theme of ghosts and mysticism throughout, in a brilliant, Tarja-styled manner. "Producing a dark Christmas album in the middle of the summer is a very interesting process, especially if you are doing it by the turquoise Caribbean Sea," Tarja said. "It's significantly different from the snowy Christmas that I am used to in my home country Finland — another proof that the darkness comes from deep within.
"On this album, I explored the other side of Christmas — the Christmas of the lonely people and the missing ones, the Christmas for those that do not find joy in the blinking lights and the jingle bells." "From Spirits And Ghosts (Score For A Dark Christmas)" will be released on November 17 on earMUSIC as 1CD digipak, 1LP Gatefold (180g, black) and digital. There will also be a wide variety of exclusive, limited fan items and bundles. The album is produced by Tarja, the American Emmy Award-winning film score composer Jim Dooley and British producer Tim Palmer, known for his work with PEARL JAM, U2, David Bowie, Lang Lang and THE CURE, among others, who also mixed the album at 62' Studio in Texas. REVOLUTION SAINTS, the band featuring Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH), Doug Aldrich (THE DEAD DAISIES, WHITESNAKE, DIO), and Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES), will release its second album, "Light In The Dark", on October 13 via Frontiers Music Srl.

For "Light In The Dark", REVOLUTION SAINTS once again teamed up with producer/songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE, JORN), who was also behind the boards for the band's debut album. Most of "Light In The Dark" was recorded at Del Vecchio's studios in Somma Lombardo, Italy, with additional recording taking place at Blades's studio in Washington, Aldrich's CasaDala studio in Los Angeles, and other countries all over the world while Aldrich was on tour with THE DEAD DAISIES. "This is a fun band!" exclaims Blades. "I think the fans are going to pick up on the excitement and the sheer musical enjoyment we are having. "The River's Mouth", the new video from Norwegian progressive black avantgardists ENSLAVED, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "E", which will be released on October 13 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2015's "In Times" was recorded at Duper & Solslottet Studios in Bergen and was once again mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.
ENSLAVED songwriter and guitarist Ivar Bjørnson stated about "The River's Mouth" clip, which was once again created by Josh Graham (SOUNDGARDEN, NEUROSIS): "'The River's Mouth' is a quite heavy track, drawing both on our rock roots and of course the foundation of everything awesome: mid-'80s, mid-paced BATHORY. It also includes some odd space-rock in the choruses and the end part — finally BATHORY and HAWKWIND met.
"I like the energy of this song a lot — both Cato and new-kid-on-the-chopping-block Håkon is doing such a great job with the psychedelic parts, the chorus and the ending. What a drive! The end sounds like travelling at insane speed through wormholes.
"The theme here is your relationship with the 'future,' as we describe it: The sensation of time moving along is a construction of our brains — physics claims all time to already have been 'rolled out'; try wrapping our brains around that one! So the future would be, speaking in tabloid; a piece of land we just haven’t arrived at yet. But it is already here. The song is about acting in tandem with your future self which already arrived at this 'future island' — do not sit and wait, make sure you lay the ground for what is to happen in the future, now!"

Ivar explains the "E" title: "The concept of the album lies in both its meaning as a letter in the latin alphabet and its runic reference: the rune 'Ehwaz', that is depicted as an 'M' when drawn as rune (just to make sure it gets really confusing) — the runes are drawn to look like what they literally mean. Ehwaz (pronounced and used as what's known as E, but drawn as an 'M') looks like and means 'horse.' Which is closely linked to its esoteric meaning; which is 'trust' and 'co-operation.' One of mankind's oldest and deepest pairings/collaborations with any 'outside' entities is with the horse. When they were first tamed and utilized, there must have arisen the notion of some esoteric link between the two; now we could move swiftly, escape faster and even eat and drink from the animal (both horse milk and horse blood), and of course show off and brag before our enemies and peers with the most spectacular horses.
"So, no, it is not about horses! It is about the symbioses that surrounds us; which are vital to our existence, to our development — on all scales: man and vessel (for instance horse, yes), a person and its significant other, child and parent, musician and instrument, chaos and order, subconscious and conscious, Oden and Sleipnir — wisdom and communication. There are many levels and variations of this concept on the album; the duality of man and nature, present and past personalities within one self, the conscious fear and the subconscious drive. And other symbiosis."
A 360-degee animated video for "Hegemony", the title track of the tenth album from Swiss industrial black metal pioneers SAMAEL, can be seen bellow. The disc will be issued on October 13 via Napalm Records. The band comments: "This is our grand overture... We choose to open the album with this song because we thought it sets the tone; square rhythm, martial beat, massive guitar riffs, intricate keyboards arrangements, powerful orchestration all that meshed with aggressive and relentless vocal lines... The band states: "The creative process that led to the completion of 'Hegemony' took over four years. Throughout that time, we lived with and saw each song growing into what they finally became.
"'Hegemony' is an album that acknowledges the world we're living in, and emphasized on the effort to take control of that world. It's all about change and evolution. It's a strong statement, a testament of our time and a call for revolution."
SAMAEL frontman Vorph (real name: Michael Locher) told Invicta Magazine about "Hegemony": "It is quintessential b>SAMAEL as it has all the elements that make our sound what it is. It was not something we planned; it came naturally. Our producer, Waldemar Sorychta, came back to Switzerland and coach me during the recording of the vocals. The last time he did that was for the recording of 'Passage' twenty years ago."
Regarding the overall musical direction of "Hegemony", Vorph said: "I think it's kind of wide [sounding]. There's faster songs… probably 'Angel Of Wrath' is one of the heaviest. We have more mid-tempo songs. We try to have variation. I hope it is a varied album."
Founded in 1987 as an old-school black metal act that was influenced by the likes of BATHORY, fellow countrymen CELTIC FROST and VENOM, the brothers Vorph and Xy later developed the band's style further towards a more industrial dark metal sound that found its previous high peak in those legendary albums such as "Passage" and "Eternal".

Swedish blackened thrash metallers WITCHERY have released the official music video for the song "Of Blackened Wing", off their upcoming album, "I Am Legion", to be released on November 10 via Century Media Records.
The clip, which was created by Martin Hultgren of Gryt Film, can be seen below.
WITCHERY guitarist Patrik Jensen stated about "Of Blackened Wing": "'Of Blackened Wing' is a song that perfectly combines both the old and new sounds of WITCHERY. It mixes the thrashing touch of old with the grittiness and rawness of new. It's one of my personal favorites on the 'I Am Legion' album and it will definitely be a part of our set for our upcoming live shows." As with the previous album, "I Am Legion" was created in the WITCHERY lineup consisting of Angus Norder (vocals), Patrik Jensen (guitar), Rickard Rimfält (lead guitar), Sharlee D'Angelo (bass) and Chris Barkensjö (drums). The disc was also produced and mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at Dugout Studios (BEHEMOTH, IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH) and comes packaged in powerful artwork by Andreas Diaz Pettersson, which can be seen below.
Jensen commented: "The first few days after the release of 'Nosferatu' (the first single from 2016's 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service' album), I was quite taken aback. There had been so many years between the releases of 'Don't Fear The Reaper' and 'Witchkrieg' (four years) and then an additional six more years between 'Witchkrieg' and 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service' that I hardly thought anyone remembered WITCHERY anymore...
We got our shit together for 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service' in order to celebrate the band's twentieth anniversary. We wrote new songs and got a few new members so we could make the album happen and have it released in 2016. But that was the goal; to merely celebrate the band's twenty years of existence. Then, after 'Nosferatu' was released, this massive wave of appreciation started to surface. When the full album dropped in November 2016, we experienced a surge of positive feedback on the rest of the album as well. I mean, we all loved the album and knew it was good, but we were thrilled to see that also other people heard what we heard; that it was a great album and that this lineup had both the chops and riffs needed, displaying them with an enthusiasm and bravado perhaps not seen since maybe the early days of the band's existence! This feedback of positive energy set things in motion within the band.
"Remembering our promise from somewhere around the release of the 'Dead, Hot And Heavy' album that we would put out two albums a year (youthful hubris, anyone?), we thought to ourselves: 'Let's try to put out a new album within a year of the release of 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service'. Said and done.
"With 'I Am Legion' having the same lineup, the same studio (Dugout Studios) and the same producer (Danne Bergstrand) as on 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service', you just know that this will be yet another sonic fist-to-the-face riffage offering!
"We think 'In His Infernal Majesty's Service' is a great album, but we also think 'I Am Legion' takes everything up a notch or two!
"We are very excited about 'I Am Legion' and we hope this release shows that WITCHERY, albeit after 20 years of existence, isn't going to fade away. On the contrary, WITCHERY is more likely entering the most productive phase yet in the band's career!"
