After launching a video clip for the song "Blood, Tears, Dust", Italian heavy rockers LACUNA COIL are revealing the full story of their two conceptual videos with their latest clip for the song "You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You". Like "Blood, Tears, Dust", the video was directed and edited by Cosimo Alemà and produced by the production company Borotalco.
Says LACUNA COIL's Cristina Scabbia: "The videos we shot with Cosimo Alemà are exactly what we wanted to deliver visually, especially if connected with a record like 'Delirium'. The darkness, the intensity, the script itself are taking the viewer to the dimension we wanted to be transported to. 'You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You' and 'Blood, Tears, Dust' are tightened together in a twisted story that I like a lot as there is so much that can be defined with each one's imagination. Interpreting different characters was also exciting, an interesting challenge I hadn't faced until then. I hope the viewers can capture the magic we breathed while we shot them."
Adds LACUNA COIL's Andrea Ferro: "Every age has its form of storytelling, and video clips have been a huge part of our culture. Talking with Cosimo and our label, we decided to create something to bring back the artistic quality video clips used to have. We put our love for cinema into our video for the song 'You Love Me ‘Cause I Hate You', as you will see there is a clear inspiration from TV series like 'True Detective' and also a certain 'Twin Peaks'/'Resident Evil' vibe. We wanted the viewers to contemplate the story and question what it really means. There is also a tight connection with the previous video for the song 'Blood, Tears, Dust' as both clips should be considered almost as one single piece. The videos clearly explore the main theme of our latest album, 'Delirium', and all its madness and symbols. It's been a really great and challenging experience to be on the set for several days and work in 'cinema style' for the very first time to create something completely new for LACUNA COIL."
Ferro recently told the Impact metal channel that LACUNA COIL fans will have to wait at least a couple of years for the follow-up to "Delirium". "Next year's gonna be twenty years of LACUNA COIL, so first we're preparing some surprises for next year, and then after that maybe we'll start working on a new record," he said. "So I don't think there will be a new record at least until 2019."
Scabbia and Ferro revealed to the Brazilian metal channel Heavy Talk earlier in the year that they were planning "something special" to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut EP.
LACUNA COIL will join Dutch symphonic metal giants EPICA on the North American leg of the band's "The Ultimate Principle" tour. The month-long September trek marks the band's first U.S. tour dates in over a year, as they continue to support "Delirium". Joining LACUNA COIL and EPICA on "The Ultimate Principle" tour are INSOMNIUM and ELANTRIS.
LACUNA COIL in December released a new song called "Naughty Christmas". The front cover and font were all created by bassist Marco "Maki" Coti-Zelati. "Delirium" entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 33 with first-week sales of just over 13,000 units — nearly all from pure album sales. The set followed the No. 27-peaking "Broken Crown Halo", which also opened with around 13,000 copies back in 2014.

The official video for "Shadows Inside", the title track of the new album from MISS MAY I, can be seen below. Due on June 2 via SharpTone Records, the disc was co-produced by Drew Fulk (MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, EMMURE, CROWN THE EMPIRE) and Nick Sampson (ASKING ALEXANDRIA, BORN OF OSIRIS). Andrew Wade (A DAY TO REMEMBER, THE WORD ALIVE, NECK DEEP) handled all mixing duties.
MISS MAY I vocalist Levi Benton stated: "Not only does this song open up our new record, it also sets the tone for the record.
"This album is all about changes throughout life, good and bad. It's about the past that lives within everyone; their 'Shadows Inside'. The lyrics talk about how great new things can give light to your past and put you in a better place."
Sharing some details about the creation of the music video for "Shadows Inside", Levi added: "We have quite a few videos and we're always trying to change things up. With this video for 'Shadows Inside', we not only wanted to recreate the cover of the record in real life, but we also wanted the performance to be abstract. We had black lights and used old lens effects from the '90s to achieve a very classic look and something totally different for us."
According to a press release, "Shadows Inside" "doubles as monster riff-fest and forcefully vocal driven statement shaped by changes both within and without. Make no mistake, this isn't an about-face album full of contrived sentiment or glossy emptiness. It's a record where the band challenged each other to work from outside of their comfort zone, to really hone in on what makes MISS MAY I vital, and deliver something fully authentic and raw."
MISS MAY I has begun a six-week North American headlining tour. The Canadian dates will feature support from OBEY THE BRAVE and AURAS, with UPON A BURNING BODY, KUBLAI KHAN and CURRENTS joining them in the U.S.

Los Angeles based industrial rock band, 3Teeth, has released a video for their new single, “Away From Me”. The track will be featured on the band’s second full-length album, shutdown.exe, out on May 19th via OMF Records. Watch the new video below.
shutdown.exe, the follow-up to their self-titled, 2014 album, was self-produced by the band, mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle) and mastered by Howie Wienberg (Deftones, Nirvana, Pantera, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden). The album features 13 songs that push their sound into new, undiscovered realms of orchestrated chaos and divine carnage with their signature fusion of experimental industrial, metal and synth driven rock that the band has become known for over the last several years.
"3Teeth are more than the sum of their influences. They are the sound of inevitability. A storm of rage and reason, man and machine, metal and bone.” - Sean Beavan (producer/mixer Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle)
Discussing the concepts behind the new record, frontman Alexis Mincolla says, “The album centers around the idea of shutting down consensus reality tunnels, which is a way to describe the generally agreed-upon perspectives of what is considered real."
Formed in 2013 in Los Angeles, 3Teeth is a transgressive artistic collaborative consisting of Alexis Mincolla (vocals), Xavier Swafford (keys), Andrew Means (drums) and Chase Brawner (guitars). Inspired by the early ‘90s industrial scene and acts like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails, the four-piece boasts a unique amalgam of aggressive sound and compelling visual art that, combined with their cynical humor and provocative propaganda, ultimately ask fans to join their assault on consensus based reality.

Today Is The Day recently released the 20th anniversary reissue of their seminal album, Temple Of The Morning Star. The band has now issued a music video for an acoustic version of the title track.
The new video, directed by David Hall, is available for streaming below:
The Man Who Loves To Hurt Himself, an intense documentary film on Today Is The Day’s iconic founding frontman Steve Austin, is slated to premiere at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Nice, France this month
Directed and filmed by Anthony Short, The Man Who Loves To Hurt Himself takes a look at Steve Austin's nearly-three-decade-long career as a musician in Today Is The Day and his reflection of his life. It explores how he balances life with his artistic passions and the undeniable effect his fans express to him about the life altering meaning it has had on them. Short spent two years following Austin around the US on tour, listening to his inner thoughts and questions about life like a fly on the wall. In his own words, he guides the watcher through his world by stream of consciousness. This reflects the conversations he has with himself in his head - a first-person account. If you were to have your life flash before your eyes right before you die, this film is what Steve Austin might see about himself.
The Man Who Loves To Hurt Himself was selected to screen at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Nice, France, an offshoot of the world-famous Cannes Film Festival, taking place from May 13th through 20th. Anthony Short has been nominated for Best Director for the film.

Headstones frontman Hugh Dillon couldn’t be more excited to share this with the world, saying “We set out to write the best rock album of our career, and I think that’s what we’ve done.”
Formed in 1987, the band's debut release Picture Of Health (1993) was met with not just critical acclaim but was certified Platinum, selling in excess of 100,000 copies and spawning the singles "When Something Stands For Nothing", "Cemetery", "Tweeter and the Monkey Man" and "Three Angels". Kicking off a recording career that spans three decades, the band has since gone on to release seven studio albums and countless chart topping singles. Known for their intense and authentic performance style, Headstones remain true to their DIY aesthetic. At a time when style is often valued over substance, they craft hard hitting tunes with brutally honest lyrics and Little Army is no exception.
With Little Army, Headstones are again inclusive of their fans, sharing exclusive behind the scenes footage and real-time content. Using an old school approach while employing new school technology, Hugh and company recruit their army of fans to be a fly-on-the-wall of the recording and launch of Little Army.
Headstones are posting an ongoing series of clips to promote the album dubbed Navigating The Music Industry. The fourth clip in the series, Influencing Sales Executives, is available below.
Horror metal band Deathless Legacy have released a video of the song “Join The Sabbath”, the new single taken from their new album Dance With Devils out now on Scarlet Records.
Dance With Devils gives voice to the witches who over the centuries have been mistreated, humiliated, even burned. With its 11 tracks, the album collects the most horrific stories of black magic rituals, stories that are lost in the mists of time, a Sabbath of pure horror and black emotions, dealing with ignorance, superstition, religion.
Copenhagen, Denmark-based rockers, Sea, have released a video for “The Stranger Within”, taken from the album The Grip Of Time, out on May 12th on LP, CD and digital worldwide through Mighty Music (ex. Japan by Bickee Music). The clip can be seen below.
The band's raw and challenging style is a blend of the classic heavy rock from the giants of the past and their own unique and powerful expression. Strong vocals, heavy riffs, catchy choruses, twin guitar soloing and a mission to keep the guitar led rock alive, combine into making the band a huge adrenaline boost into the Danish music scene.
The new album was recorded in Vibe Factory Studios in Copenhagen with producer Jakob Winther, who is primarily known for his work with artists like Justin Hawkins (The Darkness) and Lukas Graham. Even though the sound is heavy and energetic, The Grip Of Time explores more mellow, melancholy and melodic elements.

“Time Will Let You Know”
“Shout”
“No Dawn”

Consisting of current and formers members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Faceless, John Zorn and many other renowned projects, John Frum will release the new album, A Stirring In The Noos, on May 12th via Relapse Records.
The band has released a video for “Wasting Subtle Body”, directed by Mitch Massie (Cattle Decapitation, The Locust). It’s is a mind-bending depiction of a terrifying ritual with haunting visuals.
“One thing I was really excited about with this project was to shoot nature in a way that depicts the character's inward journey. I didn't want to use the weird sex and death stuff I tend to do. This project was to be the beauty of nature herself! I went way out there with my camera and tried to get my inner hippie excited about tickling chakras, absorbing energy from stones, bathing in nature's blushing design... but all I found in mother nature was death and fucking (in macro)." - Mitch Massie
The patron saints of altered states known as John Frum began its chronicle of disturbances on 11.11.11 in Philadelphia, and have been fermenting their bedeviled broth in the clandestine corners of their collective consciousness ever since.
John Frum borrows its name from a relatively isolated group of natives in the South Pacific islands, known as a Cargo Cult, who first used the alias John Frum as a means to reject European ways, escape oppressive missionaries, and return to their old traditions. The narrative changed, during the war in the 1940s, to reflect their encounters with thousands of American soldiers who spectacularly descended on that region by sea and air with crates of wartime materials dropped from the sky, known as “Cargo.” These events drastically changed the beliefs and lifestyle of the islanders as they took the soldiers and their offerings to be god-like, as they descended from the heavens.
Alt-religious narratives induced by these encounters were incongruent with islanders’ long-held beliefs, yet the natives could not deny the call of the cargo. Attempting to reconcile their existing beliefs with the new understanding of the outside world led to some strange interpretations which evolved into a bizarre narrative about a dark-skinned soldier-deity who resides inside a nearby volcano, and who many believe will one day return, showering them in riches and technology.
Like a planchette moved by the presence of subtle energies, John Frum functions as a medium for malefic musings. Existing at the intersections of perception, superstition, intoxication, ritual, rhetoric, metaphysics and mystical experience, John Frum welcome in the golden age of musical enlightenment with their first manifesto, A Stirring In The Noos. Nearly six years in the making, John Frum’s unorthodox debut maneuvers through 40-minutes of darkly psychedelic and meticulously crafted death metal, the backdrop of a bad trip. A Stirring In The Noos is a dismal distillation of oneiric transmissions, an aural reliquary of mis-shapen manifestations, and a totem to modern primitivism in heavy music.

Raging Dead is an Italian horror punk metal band that came together at the beginning of 2014 from an idea of vocalist Cloud Shade and lead guitarist Matt Void. The line-up was then rounded out with drummer Tracii Decadence and bassist Simon Nightmare.
Raging Dead had an intense first year of activity, in which it gained recognition in Italy playing with well-known Italian Horror bands and glam/sleaze bands. The quartet also had the chance to share the stage with many international bands, which built them a massive following in Italy.
Their debut EP Born In Rage gained national attention in Italy and the body of Europe. The band toured heavily in support of the EP across Europe and gained quite a sizable fan base as a result.
In June 2016, the band entered the BI-OS Music Production Studio with producer Francesco Altare to record their first full-length album, When The Night Falls. While sticking true to their Horror Rock roots, the new album led to a progression in musicianship with more aggressive melodies and production than their previous efforts.
This new creation gained the attention of Pavement Entertainment and led to the group signing a partnership deal to release When The Night Falls worldwide. The album will be available on May 26th through all digital and streaming platforms. Preorder the album on iTunes.
