Finnish extreme death metal band Enragement and Inverse Records have joined forces concerning their second album named Burned, Barren, Bloodstained. Release is set for June 9th. Preorder the album at Inverse Records.
The “Blood For The Sun God” single was released today as a video and can be streamed below and listened to on Spotify.
Since their debut full-length, 2014’s Omnimalevolence Of Man, Enragement has taken ever further leaps into the darkness. Honing skills, technique and atmosphere, and above all, their myriad visions of evil, the band’s new opus Burned, Barren, Bloodstained paints the band’s most abysmal portrait of man to date.
Enragement presents a unique blend of three equal-footed growlers adding twisted nuances into the sea of brutality, to seamlessly highlight each step of their disgusting stories. No sound, no idea is beyond Enragement’s quest to create the ultimate song to capture the human condition at its darkest.

Texas' Power Trip has released their official video for "Executioner's Tax (Swing Of The Axe)". The band continues to tour the planet in support of their Nightmare Logic LP, as they are currently torching the West Coast of North America and will head to Europe in the coming weeks.
Power Trip's new video for "Executioner's Tax (Swing Of The Axe)" takes us front and centre, into the eye of what is guaranteed to be a perfect storm time and time again. The footage, captured at a spirited hometown show in Dallas melts with clips of political propaganda which encompass vocalist Riley Gale's lyrics that hone in on the devaluation of human life by those who've gained power through money and politics. The video was directed by Andy Capper (Vice, Noisey) with director of photography Joel Pront, and editor Andrew Betsch.
After a wild, sold out East Coast/Midwest tour, Power Trip is currently taking over West Coast this month with Destruction Unit. Florida-based metal band, World Gone, has released the official music video for their single, "Feed The Machine”. Self-directed and produced, "Feed The Machine" was shot in a Florida bunker.
Says the band: “”Feed the Machine" is a story of human enslavement and the struggle to find a way to finally be free. Afraid of death, future loss, injury, and imprisonment, the majority of humans have become easily controlled and dominated by the powerful few. The greatest resource in history has not been gold or oil, it has been the extortion of other humans. You can't get a hen to lay more eggs by threatening it but you can get a human to give you his eggs by threatening him. Human fear farming has been the most lucrative trade of all time and even now continues to feed the evil plans for domination of the universe by the bloated, power mad, and greedy Human Coercion Machine.”
Hailing from a rusted old shed behind a trailer park on the Westside of Jacksonville, World Gone is preparing to assault your life and senses with a freak audio apocalypse like none before. Years of pent up aggression and disgust with state of our so called civilized society and clustered masses of trendy spineless media outlets have bred a wholeheartedly honest and vigorously explosive combination of volatile ingredients forming the thing know as World Gone. Your ears will be forcefully penetrated and your eyes will be ruthlessly violated by being witness to this xenomorph of maximum twisted force.
Coming into existence through the wake of an unrealized dream, fueled by discontent and unwanted experiences, feelings, and thoughts, World Gone dissects and probes the depths of these shadow areas somehow trying to make something sick yet beautiful from the darkness in our lives and their current state of disrepair. World Gone has set on a journey to provoke inspired thought among the listening legions with poetry wrapped in an audial onslaught of brutality tempered with deep emotions that have been carved from the rotten flesh we call life.
Singer and frontman Joe Bennett is no newcomer to the shit storm known as the music business. Formerly with platinum selling artist Cold and other local Jacksonville heavy hitters like Snagglepuss and Order By Chaos, Joe has set out to make a difference not just for one group of listeners but all listeners. He has the presence, mind, and voice to delivers this post apocalyptic mutant gospel through at times terrifying and haunting orchestrations. Through years of writing and collaborating with some of the most creative minds in the industry like former and current members of Puddle Of Mudd, Cold, and Evanescence, Joe has honed his craft and ability to pull at the frayed heart strings of your soul. Prepare to feel something, prepare to think, prepare to go beyond what is seen and explore the hidden dark corners of your mind.
World Gone will rise to the pulpit to deliver this sermon with a dysfunctional choir to the fallen congregation. Give us your restless and shattered souls, we will give them the nourishment they seek. Sick and twisted things are happening in the underground of Florida. Come with us.
Corners Of Sanctuary (COS) have released the Cut Your Losses EP, available via Exquisite Noise Records. Purchase at this location.
The 4-song release is a nostalgic collection from the group as it contains new versions of two previously released songs, "Wild Card" and "My Revenge".
"These songs appeared on our first album and never came across the way we wanted them to in the studio," said Mick Michaels, COS guitarist and founder. "We wanted the opportunity to do it right and this was that opportunity. Both have new arrangements as well as all new lyrics for My Revenge... these are the versions we wanted," he continued.
The EP also includes two new tracks, the 80's anthem laden "Tonight We Roll" and "Mind's Eye"' a much darker-sounding change of pace for the band which was co-written by Michaels and bassist James Pera.
"I have to admit, I don't know how these guys can keep cranking out the quality tunes at such a furious pace! It's pretty amazing," stated Jason McGathey, Exquisite Noise Records President. "I love the machine gun sounding drums in My Revenge...and Wild Card is definitely a favorite,” he added.
A new music video, produced by A Creation Productions, for the single "Wild Card", was released in conjunction with the EP.
The video was filmed at the 3,400 acre Green Lane Park, the largest county park in northwestern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the band's home state. Primary footage was shot at the now closed Farms Bridge. The historic 133 foot structure, which overlooks Yellow Breeches Creek, was built in 1889 by the Phoenix Bridge Company and has become a center piece for Park hikers, fishermen and bird enthusiasts.
"Most of my memory of that day was trying to stay warm before, during and after takes... the wind was extremely frigid," said lead singer Frankie Cross. “I did more than my share of complaining...," he joked. "...but after seeing the final edit, it was well worth the hypothermia," Cross added.
A free mp3 download of ”Wild Card" is available here.
COS has a number of upcoming shows which include supporting Tim "Ripper" Owens of Judas Priest and Iced Earth fame, thrash legends Blood Feast and the Italian power metal band Savior From Anger. Plus spots at the NEPA Metal Meltdown Fest in May and the Chicago Festival of the Witch in July which will coincide with a short run of Midwest shows among others.
“We are really grateful for all the support,” said drummer Mad T. “The new EP sounds great… the shows have been going well… at times I still can’t believe all this happening and I have had a chance to be part of it,” he further added.
Corners of Sanctuary also plan to release a new full-length album, The Galloping Hordes, later this year and are currently in the studio recording.
"Everything is written and all the music is recorded. We're moving forward with vocals at this point," said Pera. "There are going to be a few surprises with this album... COS is an ever-changing musical landscape," he added.

"Someone Says", the new video from Italian metallers LABYRINTH, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new studio album, "Architecture Of A God", which will be released on April 21 via Frontiers Music Srl.
In the spring of 2016, the band's founding members, Andrea Cantarelli and Olaf Thorsen received a call from Frontiers asking them to discuss with vocalist Roberto Tiranti the possibilities of a reunion with a return to their classic sound to mount a comeback for the band. After much discussion, the guys agreed to make an album and also to make a very special appearance at the the first annual Frontiers Metal Festival, where they performed their signature album, "Return To Heaven Denied", in its entirety. [Said performance is being prepared for a future home video release.] Olaf says: "This has been easily the most difficult and challenging album I ever worked on.
"To be honest, when Frontiers contacted me, insisting to make this reunion happen, I was skeptical and worried. We couldn't simply make a new album; it wouldn't have been honest to the fans, to ourselves.
"Of course, this is as easy to say as also unbelievably tough to make real: we have so many good albums out there, looking at us from their past and which people still keep in their minds and hearts. That's why we decided to strengthen our lineup, joining with nobody else but the best musicians we believed they would have fitted perfectly into our perspective of the music we were about to write." Andrea adds: "The making of this album has been a fantastic journey. We brought back a lot of classic elements of our music, mixing it with something new and I'm so enthusiastic about the final result." Roberto Tiranti makes it short: "Just when you thought you already gave everything you could, expressing every possible musical aspect of your way of intending music for a band like LABYRINTH, then comes 'Architecture Of A God' to remind you that nothing is impossible!" With a new lineup rounded out by drummer extraordinaire John Macaluso (TNT, RIOT, ARK), Oleg Smirnoff (VISION DIVINE, EDRITCH) on keyboards, and Nik Mazzucconi on bass, LABYRINTH are truly coming back stronger than ever and have offered up a superb self-produced album. "Architecture Of A God" (mixed by DGM's Simone Mularoni) is a record that encompasses all the elements the band is known for: fast power metal songs with unforgettable hooks, epic prog-infused metal songs, and some great melodic numbers that compose a record which is easily going to be another milestone for the Italian metal masters! "What we have in our hands, now, it's 'Architecture Of A God': by far, the most mature and complete album we ever wrote," concludes Thorsen.
"There's no will to challenge our glorious past, but I'm really confident that, once released, this album will set a new standard for our music!"

"Cheaper To Drink Alone", the new Blake Judd-directed video from Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY, can be seen below. The clip was filmed on February 21 at Spillway Bar And Grill in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
"This video is the first time we have stepped outside of our comfort zone, only to end up further into our comfort zone," commented BLACK STONE CHERRY. "It's funny, it's light hearted, it's rock 'n' roll. It shows a side of the band that exists on a daily basis, and that is our love for ridiculous humor and not taking ourselves too seriously. We hope y'all enjoy it as much as we did creating it! We are also honored to have appearances of our friends from Number JUAN Tequila, Against The Grain Brewery, and Lzzy and Joe from our longtime buddies HALESTORM."
"Cheaper To Drink Alone" is taken from BLACK STONE CHERRY's fifth studio album, "Kentucky", which was released in April 2016 via Mascot Label Group. The CD was recorded at Barrick Recording in Glasgow, Kentucky. Taking a "back-to-the-roots" approach, the effort was produced in the same way and same place as BLACK STONE CHERRY's eponymous debut album, which broke the band out of the small southern backwater and onto the world stage.
BLACK STONE CHERRY guitarist Ben Wells told Metal Hammer magazine about "Kentucky": "This is the first time we [got] to self-produce. And most of the songs, with the exception of maybe two or three out of fifteen, are all written by us, the four of us. Which all of our songs always are — we might co-write with somebody — but this time, the majority of the songs are all written by us. So it feels really good to kind of have that creative freedom. It's raw, it's heavy. [We went] back to our hometown to record it, where we did our debut album. So we're kind of revisiting some of that old mojo that we had, and I think our fans have been wanting that from us for a long time now. These are probably some of the coolest songs we've written as far as the music and the melodies."

"Escape Velocity", the new Rich Pembridge-directed video from British heavy metal vocalist Blaze Bayley (IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE), can be seen below. The song is taken from his ninth solo album, "Endure And Survive", which was released on March 3 via Blaze Bayley Recording. The disc was recorded at Birmingham, England's Robannas Studios and said to be "an exciting and enthralling sequel" to his 2016 release "Infinite Entanglement", which was the first of a trilogy of releases following a sci-fi concept and storyline.
"Endure And Survive" is accompanied by a world tour totalling some 120 shows. The European leg of the tour is taking place principally between February and June 2017. After a small number of summer shows, Blaze will then go to the United States and Canada during August-September. It's also planned to take the tour to Latin America in 2018.
Throughout this world tour, Blaze is being backed by his main recording and touring musicians, picked from British metal band ABSOLVA and including Chris Appleton (guitar, backing vocals), Martin McNee (drums), Karl Schramm (bass, backing vocals).
In addition to the established bandmembers as above from ABSOLVA, "Endure And Survive" also contains a talented array of collaborators: Luke Appleton (ICED EARTH, ABSOLVA) on backing vocals; Michelle Sciarrotta on nylon acoustic, backing vocals, voice actor; Jo Robinson on backing vocals; Mel Adams on backing vocals; Liz Owen on backing vocals; Thomas Zwijsen on nylon acoustic, Anne Bakker on violin, backing vocals; Corvin Bahn (Uli Jon Roth) on accordion; Aine Brewer (voice actor); and Rob Toogood (voice actor) on backing vocals.
The spectacular album artwork was created by Andreas Sandberg, with additional images from Christopher Steenstrup who is also working on a Blaze Bayley video game.
"Endure And Survive" was recorded between October and December 2016, produced by Blaze Bayley and Chris Appleton, mixed and engineered by Miguel Seco, mastered by Ade Emsley (IRON MAIDEN, TANK, PHIL CAMPBELL). As with the previous record, the songwriting has been a collaboration between Blaze, Chris Appleton and Michelle Sciarrotta.
"Endure And Survive" track listing:
01. Endure And Survive02. Escape Velocity03. Blood04. Eating Lies05. Destroyer06. Dawn Of The Dead Son07. Remember08. Fight Back09. The World Is Turning The Wrong Way10. Together We Can Move The Sun
2014-2015 was a period of building momentum for Blaze, partly created by the highly popular release of the fifteenth anniversary edition of his debut solo record, "Silicon Messiah", as well as his "Soundtracks Of My Life" thirty-year compilation celebrating his career since he began singing with his first band WOLFSBANE, before catapulting to worldwide fame with IRON MAIDEN.
2016 saw a significant renaissance with the remarkable plaudits given to the "Infinite Entanglement" album from fans and critics alike. The year was also notable for Blaze's special guest performance with DISTURBED at the U.K.'s premier festival Download when the warmth and recognition from the crowd was as crystal clear as it was predictable given Blaze's reputation for connecting with audiences.

EVANESCENCE frontwoman Amy Lee has released the official music video for her new single, "Speak To Me", the end title theme from the forthcoming suspense/drama "Voice From The Stone". "Game Of Thrones"' Emilia Clarke stars in the film alongside Marton Csokas, Caterina Murino, Remo Girone, Lisa Gastoni and Edward Dring.
Directed by Eric Howell and scored by Michael Wandmacher, the haunting thriller set in 1950s Tuscany is due July 24. USA Today premiered the movie trailer, which can be viewed below. As a prelude, Lee shared an intro video to the track on her YouTube channel last April. Captured during the recording of the song at legendary Skywalker Ranch, the piece gives us a glimpse inside the process, with the gorgeous piano of "Speak To Me" as the backdrop. A few exclusive clips are also included, providing fans with a preview into the movie. "Speak To Me" is available for download on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, and streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited.
Lee has a message for her fans about the film and her creative process behind the song and its accompanying video: "I'm very excited to share a new song which I was asked to create as the end title for the forthcoming film 'Voice From The Stone', which stars the incredibly talented and captivating Emilia Clarke. The song is called 'Speak To Me'. "There are many reasons why I felt inspired to work on this project.
"'Voice From The Stone' tells the haunting story of Verena, a nurse who is asked to aid a young boy who has fallen silent after the sudden passing of his mother. Verena is brought in to help him speak again.
"As a new mother myself, the film resonated very deeply with me. I had the opportunity to work closely with Eric Howell, who directed the film, and Michael Wandmacher, who composed the score.
"I was very moved by the movie, and after having my first conversation with Eric and Michael, I felt a surge of inspiration and immediately began writing.
"It is a rare phenomenon to really share a creative vision so completely, and that made for a very powerful experience, and an end result that I am very proud of.” "It was an honor to be able to work with Eric on the music video as well, which was shot in Sienna, Italy, at the same beautiful location as the film.
"We conceived the video as a parallel and backstory to the film, which explores the strong bond of love between Malvina and her son, and the belief that love is stronger than death." Amy Lee is currently in the studio with EVANESCENCE working on new music, to be released later this year.
"Fall Of A Nation", the new video from Swedish metallers CORRODED, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Defcon Zero", which will be released on April 14 via Despotz Records.
Comments the group: "We wanted the video to show how the song feels and we think it's spot on. Dark, ugly and ferocious — just like us! Hard rock fans will love it. So if your eyes bleed after this one, you're probably not that into heavy music. It might also be our appearances, but nonetheless, it's time to bang heads and make some trouble!"
"Defcon Zero" may be CORRODED's first new album in five years, but the band's goal is still the same — "world domination," says singer/guitarist Jens Westin with a laugh. With "Defcon Zero", CORRODED continues where "State Of Disgrace" left off, but ventures into "a little heavier and a bit more melodic" territory.
"We worked solely within the band this time as we entered this process with only some form of a raw idea, without any preconceptions," Westin adds. "From there on, everybody contributed. The creative process was based on a live feeling and we had tremendous fun while recording."
"Affliction", the new Rawrec Production-directed video from Greek/Swedish melodic death metallers NIGHTRAGE, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's seventh album, "The Venomous", which will be released on March 31 via Despotz Records. The disc was recorded at Zero Gravity Studios in Athens with producer Terry Nikas.
Says the band: "The NIGHTRAGE sound is evolving and we are ready to take it to new exciting and creative heights. We cannot wait to unleash this out into the world!"
According to a press release, "The Venomous" "is a relentless tale of extinction, told with as much venomous aggression as there are intriguing and mesmerizing melodies. Memorable hooks and some of the catchiest choruses that metal has seen in decades does nothing to compromise the brutality and honesty that NIGHTRAGE is known for. The music is catchy and extreme. Lyrically, the album deals with the failure of mankind and how we as human beings are racing towards our own extinction."
NIGHTRAGE recently announced the addition of Magnus Söderman on guitar and Lawrence Dinamarca on drums.
NIGHTRAGE's sixth studio album, "The Puritan", was released in April 2015 via Despotz Records. The CD marked vocalist Ronnie Nyman's recorded debut with NIGHTRAGE after he performed with the band on its Japanese and Russian tours.
NIGHTRAGE was founded in 2000 in Greece by Marios Iliopoulos and his close friend, Gus G., who departed after the band's second album, "Descent Into Chaos". During the band's seventeen-year career, NIGHTRAGE has released six studio albums and toured across Europe, the U.S., Canada and Asia while employing various musicians from AT THE GATES, EVERGREY, DARK TRANQUILLITY, AMARANTHE and FIREWIND.
Wednesday 13, who mixes punk rock and metal with kitschy horror imagery and who is formerly one half of the MURDERDOLLS braintrust, will release his seventh solo studio album, titled "Condolences", on June 2 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The follow-up to 2015's "Monsters Of The Universe" was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who previously worked with Wednesday 13 and guitarist Roman Surman on the 2010 MURDERDOLLS album "Women & Children Last". The artwork was created by Travis Smith (OPETH, KATATONIA, NEVERMORE) and can be seen below.
The official video for the song "What The Night Brings" can be seen below.
Wednesday 13 comments: "I'm really excited to unveil the new video for 'What The Night Brings', the first track from our upcoming album, 'Condolences'. It kicks off our new album and really sets the tone for the rest of it.
"We worked on the video with director Matt Zane (SOCIETY ONE) and he really helped bring a spooky vibe.
"The song reminds me of a heavy metal version of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' theme! It was also a lot of fun filming the extra scenes too, where I get to dress up like a demon at a ritual!
"I never knew that singing with fangs would be so difficult, but I made it work!"
"Condolences" track listing:

Wednesday 13 told Creative Loafing that "Condolences" may be his darkest and heaviest album to date. "The campiness is kind of gone off of this record," he said. "It's definitely heavier, and definitely the best-produced sounding thing, I think, I've ever recorded. A lot of people go, 'He's serious now!' Well, I'm 40 years old now. I'm growing with the music, my band, everything, and this record definitely has some experimenting with different sounds and things. The sense of humor is still always there, but maybe not as campy as it's always been, and sometimes that comes off more serious."
Regarding the subject matter covered on "Condolences", Wednesday 13 said: "The theme is death, and it comes from everything from the point of view of a killer, the point of view of being killed, and the whole record ends with the title track 'Condolences' and that's like the funeral."
He continued: "It's just a dark, weird record, kind of inspired by basically everybody who seems to be dropping around us. I kept seeing, 'Condolences, sorry for your loss,' and I saw that, and I themed the record around what's in the air right now."
"Black Hoodie", the new video from BODY COUNT, the metal band fronted by hip-hop legend, actor and director Ice-T, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Treach Tribe.
Ice-T states: "This type of thing happens every day and nobody marches or it never makes the news. The video speaks for itself."
"Black Hoodie" is taken from BODY COUNT's new album, "Bloodlust", which will be released on March 31 via Century Media Records. The disc was recorded with producer Will Putney (MISS MAY I, UPON A BURNING BODY), who also helmed 2014's "Manslaughter". The new CD features guest appearances by Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, SEPULTURA), MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine and LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe. The effort also contains BODY COUNT's medley of the SLAYER songs "Postmortem" and "Raining Blood".
"Bloodlust" track listing:
01. Civil War (feat. Dave Mustaine)02. The Ski Mask Way03. This Is Why We Ride04. All Love Is Lost (feat. Max Cavalera)05. Raining Blood / Postmortem (SLAYER medley)06. God, Please Believe Me07. Walk With Me… (feat. Randy Blythe)08. Here I Go Again09. No Lives Matter10. Bloodlust11. Black Hoodie
Ice-T recently told Revolver magazine about "Bloodlust": "Making records is a very interesting process. You work really hard on something and finish it and then you'll be, like, 'Yo, that sounds like somebody else's record.' Or, 'Hey, didn't we just make that record three days ago?'
"One time we did two songs in a row and afterwards I looked at them and said, 'That's the same riff in each song.' So we had to pick one. But in the end, we came up with some very aggressive and cool music."
He added: "I like to start with hot metal tracks that you can listen to without a word on them and go, 'Wow, that was just like fire!’ The music tells me what the song is about, and that's when the words start coming to me. Then it's up to me not to fuck it up."
As for the choice of album title, Ice-T said: "Bloodlust is part of the human makeup. Murder is about as normal as love. It's in our nature to want to get violent and kill, but we know there are consequences. That's why we like violent movies, video games and combat sports. It's in our DNA. It's what we are."
"Manslaughter" sold around 3,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 102 on The Billboard 200 chart. The record arrived in stores on June 10, 2014 via Sumerian.
BODY COUNT's current lineup includes guitarist Juan Garcia (a.k.a. Juan Of The Dead; AGENT STEEL, EVILDEAD), who made his live debut with the group in November 2013 at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas.

San Francisco Art Exchange LLC (SFAE) has been selected to exclusively represent the most valuable collection of rock and roll artwork ever to be offered for sale: eleven original paintings created and hand-selected by famed English artist Gerald Scarfe, from Pink Floyd’s 1982 masterpiece The Wall. A major exhibition will be held in July with Scarfe in attendance at the invitation-only premiere to be held at SFAE’s gallery (458 Geary St, San Francisco, CA). Details to be announced.
The paintings being offered have been carefully selected by Scarfe as his most important works, and include several of the most famous images in rock history due to their association with The Wall. Among the paintings are the true definitive originals for iconic artworks such as The Scream (pictured above), Wife With Flaming Hair, Giant Judge and Hammers, The Mother, Education For What? No Jobs!, The Wife's Shadow, One Of The Frightened Ones, The Gross Inflatable Pig, Comfortably Numb, and The Teacher, as well as the massive original storyboard created for the film which incorporates 50 original renderings.

Epic in scale and steeped in rock history, these original works of art are marquis collectibles for major individual, corporate, and institutional collectors. Due to the extensive distribution of the imagery via album, live-performances, music-videos, and the film (along with the accompanying publicity), the artwork offered is among the most instantly recognizable and significant in pop culture.
One of the paintings available for purchase, Giant Judge and Hammers, will be prominently on display in London beginning May 13th as part of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s eagerly anticipated The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, the first international retrospective of one of the worlds’ most ground-breaking and influential bands. This exhibition is expected to become one of the most successful on record.
The Wall album topped Billboard charts for 15 weeks, and in 1999 was certified 23 x Platinum. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling over 19 million copies between 1979 and 1990 in the US alone. The film was critically acclaimed when it was released in 1982 and won BAFTAs for Best Original Song and Best Sound. Scarfe developed the film's entire visual environment before the project began and his characters became a mixture of live-action and animated imagery, all of which played an integral role in the surreal narrative.

Brazilian death metal lords Nervochaos are set to release their seventh studio album Nyctophilia on April 7th via Cogumelo (in Brazil), Greyhaze (in The US) and distributed by Plastic Head (in Europe). Today the band has unleashed their 360° video for the song "Ritualistic", watch it below:
Nyctophilia is an eclectic mix of all that characterizes the band, 13 new tracks of 80s-fueled blackened extreme music, executed in Nervochaos' trademark raw, aggressive and organic style of Metal. Nyctophilia has a new intensity and is a step forward compared to their older releases.
For the first time, the band recorded the album outside Brazil, spending a month in Como/Italy at Alpha Omega Studio along with producer Alex Azzali, who also did mixing and mastering of the new album. It's also the first album composed and recorded with the new line-up which features Lauro 'Nightrealm' on vocal/guitar, Cherry on guitar, Thiago 'Anduscias' on bass and the only remaining original member Edu Lane on drums.
The album artwork was created by Alcides Burn, a talented Brazilian artist that worked with acts such as Blood Red Throne, Acheron, Iconoclasm, Headhunter DC and many more. Nyctophilia also features special guest vocals appearance by Sebastian L. of Into Darkness and Leandro P. of R.N.S. plus one track, "Vampiric Cannibal Goddess”, that features the riffs of Bolverk (Ragnarok).
Nyctophilia surely is the best album up-to-date from Nervochaos, which managed to evolve musically without losing its trademark sound.
