Brazilian death metal lords Nervochaos are set to release their seventh studio album Nyctophilia on April 7th via Cogumelo (in Brazil), Greyhaze (in The US) and distributed by Plastic Head (in Europe). Today the band has unleashed their 360° video for the song "Ritualistic", watch it below:
Nyctophilia is an eclectic mix of all that characterizes the band, 13 new tracks of 80s-fueled blackened extreme music, executed in Nervochaos' trademark raw, aggressive and organic style of Metal. Nyctophilia has a new intensity and is a step forward compared to their older releases.
For the first time, the band recorded the album outside Brazil, spending a month in Como/Italy at Alpha Omega Studio along with producer Alex Azzali, who also did mixing and mastering of the new album. It's also the first album composed and recorded with the new line-up which features Lauro 'Nightrealm' on vocal/guitar, Cherry on guitar, Thiago 'Anduscias' on bass and the only remaining original member Edu Lane on drums.
The album artwork was created by Alcides Burn, a talented Brazilian artist that worked with acts such as Blood Red Throne, Acheron, Iconoclasm, Headhunter DC and many more. Nyctophilia also features special guest vocals appearance by Sebastian L. of Into Darkness and Leandro P. of R.N.S. plus one track, "Vampiric Cannibal Goddess”, that features the riffs of Bolverk (Ragnarok).
Nyctophilia surely is the best album up-to-date from Nervochaos, which managed to evolve musically without losing its trademark sound.

Australian death metal quintet In Death have brokered a deal with Plastic Head for the official release of their full-length debut, The Devil Speaks. The album will be released on April 21st. Pre-orders are available at this location.
In related news, the band has issued an official video for album track "Bow To Your Master".
Vigorously honing their craft as a live act since August 2008, two crucial elements have developed within the band that now form part of the unofficial band ethos: Tight performances packaged with energetic delivery. The result can only be described as a whirlwind of energy punctuated by an intensely accurate technical punch.
In Death combine overwhelming power and groove with subtle technicality and some unexpected twists to deliver a package that can not only cause frenzy among seasoned metal-heads, but also bring new fans to the metal genre with horns held high and banging heads.

Resolve reprises the band's ever-present influences from bands like Queensrÿche, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Savatage, and a mixture of contemporary power metal and melodic rock hooks and songwriting while moving the band further into progressive and theatrical territory with more atypical song structures used to best serve the concept of the album.
The band continues to forge their footprint as one of the most promising and unique female-fronted bands to come along in recent times.

"Freja's Choice", the new video from Swedish riff lords GRAND MAGUS, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's eighth studio album, "Sword Songs", which came out last May via Nuclear Blast. The cover artwork for the CD was created by acclaimed artist Anthony Roberts.
GRAND MAGUS vocalist Janne "J.B." Christofferson commented: "Freja is not only the goddess of love and beauty, she is also a goddess of war and battle and an extremely powerful sorceress. Half of those who died in battle were taken by the Valkyries to Freja's home Folkvang. This song delves deep into the mysteries of the golden goddess."
Christofferson said last year that "Sword Songs" "is the best GRAND MAGUS album ever! The new songs are faster and more aggressive than on 'Triumph And Power', and we have also included some more extreme and harder stuff. I'm convinced that there are some future classics on the disc!"
"Sword Songs" was produced by Nico Elgstrand at Studio Supa in Stockholm, Sweden. Guitars, vocals and bass were recorded at Studio Supa while the drums were laid down with Roberto Laghi at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album was mixed by Roberto Laghi (Oral Majority Records, Gothenburg) and mastered by Svante Forsbäck (Chartmakers, Helsinki).

Northwest extreme death metal horde Dead Conspiracy have released a music video for "In The Wake Of The Butcher," a track from the band's 2016 self-titled album.
The band credited with being Portland's first-ever death metal act released its long-anticipated first full-length LP of new material in November. Dead Conspiracy is available on CD, vinyl and digital formats through Necromantic Press Records. Exile Music will release the album on cassette. CDs featuring the 1987 demo and a cover track recorded for Tribute To Headhunter Death Cult are offered in Brazil by Funeral Rites Records.
The follow-up to the band's critically-acclaimed 2014 Abomination Underground, the self-titled album is an utterly destructive, dark, depraved, and disgustingly satisfying piece of death metal that fans of Death, Gruesome, Sodom, Massacre and all the old gods will surely appreciate.
Chicago based hard rock band Remada has premiered the video for their latest single titled “A Better Tomorrow” off of their upcoming EP due out on April 29th. The video was shot in Gary, Indiana, filmed by Nick Frollo and was directed by Nick Frollo and vocalist Matt Daniels.
“Being my first music video shoot it was a life changing experience. It was extremely interesting to see the work put in behind the scenes and then reviewing the final product. We're all super happy with it." - Ahmed Forero (bass/vocals)
Remada, originally formed as a rock/rap group in 2014 has combined the word-play of a seasoned emcee with the melodies, guitar work and stage presence of a shredding rock band. Originating from the suburbs of Chicago, IL, Remada first developed in the rap scene playing with artists such as Kirko Bangz, Ice Cube, Yelawolf and even had the privilege to direct a music video with Chicago’s renowned film maker “DGainz.” Forming a new approach to the group after adding guitarist Danny Siavichay, bassist/vocalist Ahmed Forero, and drummer Shan Smith they blend the many influences together to form an unforgettable show.
Their movement that is quickly sweeping the underground scene, formally known as “Music Heals” has become their niche that they base their music and video series “My Reality To Choke Upon” off of. Their influences range from Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, Limp Bizkit and many others.
Upcoming shows:

After returning from a triumphant tour of South America and right before hitting the road with their Century Media labelmates ARCH ENEMY and THE HAUNTED, Italian heavy rockers LACUNA COIL have released a new video for one of their crowd favorites, "Blood, Tears, Dust". The clip was directed and edited by Cosimo Alemà and produced by the production company Borotalco. Commented LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia: "Right now I can't tell you everything about 'Blood, Tears, Dust', as this video is part of something bigger... This is the core of who we are as a band: the sweat, the dirt, the raw energy. It's our insanity and all of us feeling comfortable with it.
"I love how by Cosimo Alemà filmed this. The photography, the colors and the hints in the story are perfectly placed and it is the first time we are really 'acting'. This video is only a part of a much bigger plan... stay tuned. Hope you enjoy this video as much as I do!"
"Blood, Tears, Dust" is taken from LACUNA COIL's latest album, "Delirium", which was released last May through Century Media. The CD was recorded at BRX Studio in Milan between December 2015 and February 2016. The effort was produced by LACUNA COIL bassist and main songwriter Marco "Maki" Coti-Zelati, with engineering by Marco Barusso and additional assistance from Dario Valentini. Coti-Zelati also created the artwork for "Delirium", which is based on an atmospheric session captured by Italian photographer Alessandro Olgiati.
LACUNA COIL has recruited Diego Cavallotti as a fill-in guitarist for the band following the departure of Marco "Maus" Biazzi.
Biazzi left LACUNA COIL in January 2016, explaining in a statement: "I felt I couldn't add more in this project any longer so I decided to leave my second family, LACUNA COIL, to take a different path for a new challenge in my life.
LACUNA COIL in February 2014 parted ways with guitarist Cris "Pizza" Migliore and drummer Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati.
The official video for the song "Lawbreaker" from German power metallers GRAVE DIGGER can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "Healed By Metal", which was released on January 13 via Napalm Records.
Asked if GRAVE DIGGER has ever been "healed by metal," vocalist Chris Boltendahl told Spark TV: "Yeah, I've [been] healed by metal a lot of times in my life. Mostly in bad times. When I listen to metal music, it builds me up again. I think it's a good title for GRAVE DIGGER. There's so many people outside who have problems. I think this record can help some people.
Regarding why the band named the album "Healed By Metal", Chris said: "Two years ago, we played a big open-air festival in Moscow. There was a hospital beside the festival [site]. There were people inside who had to listen to metal all day. I said while I was with our sound engineer, 'Oh, the poor people. They have to listen to GRAVE DIGGER all day.' He said, 'Look at me. Yes, all the people are healed by metal.'"
Chris also talked about GRAVE DIGGER's goal with the new album. He said: "First, to satisfy ourselves, then to satisfy the people outside. We want to always deliver a piece of quality. This time, it's much better quality, not than the previous albums, but in our own mind. Yeah, I think it's a piece of metal."
"Healed By Metal" track listing:
01. Healed By Metal02. When Night Falls03. Lawbreaker04. Forever Free05. Call For War06. Ten Commandments Of Metal07. The Hangman’s Eye08. Kill Ritual09. Hallelujah10. Laughing With The Dead
Digipack bonus:
11. Kingdom Of The Night12. Bucket List
GRAVE DIGGER's previous collection of all-new material, "Return Of The Reaper", was released in July 2014 via Napalm Records.
"End Of Earth", the new video from Richie Kotzen, can be seen below. The song is taken from the ever-adventurous triple-threat songwriter/guitarist/vocalist 21st solo album, "Salting Earth", which will be released on April 14 via his own custom label, Headroom-Inc. Kotzen tossed convention on its ear by actually taking one step back in order to move two steps forward. "It's something I really needed to do in order to reset myself," he explains. Kotzen's "charge to recharge" was officially put into play following the mega-success of the 2015–16 tour behind his band THE WINERY DOGS' sophomore effort, the oh-so-appropriately named "Hot Streak". And the man's reset manifesto wound up hitting all the right buttons too. The proof is on display deep within the grooves of "Salting Earth", which veers from the balls-out, heads-up declaration of the opening track and first single, "End Of Earth", to the burning-sky harmonic thrust of "Thunder" to the Prince-like funk-jazz swing of "This Is Life" to the acoustified take-me-as-I-am self-reflection of the album's final song, "Grammy". The majority of "Salting Earth" is the result of Kotzen's one-man production machine, with the exception of Julia Lage adding background vocals to "Make It Easy", a tasty, sing-along groove stew. "It's really not deliberate when the record is finished and suddenly I'm the only performer on it," Kotzen admits. "It actually comes out of my process of writing and documenting my ideas. It started back in the late '80s when I had a makeshift studio in my parents' barn. I grew up fairly isolated, and I soon realized in order to get this music out of my head and onto a format where I could listen to it, I'd have to figure out how to do it alone." Kotzen's previous solo release, 2015's diverse, far-reaching "Cannibals", was a well-received hit among his core fan base, and "Salting Earth" cuts like the aforementioned "End Of Earth", "Thunder" and "Divine Power" all showcase the scorching guitar solos and soaring vocals that one would expect from a Kotzen solo album. That said, there's also quite a vulnerable side on display here that's perhaps best demonstrated in the stripped-down approach to the album's closing salvo, "Grammy". "That song came to me in the oddest way at the most inconvenient time," he reveals of the track that can be filed in the "first thought, best thought" category. One night when he was home alone, "I basically woke myself up with the chorus melody in my head, and in my haze, I knew that if I didn't at least record the idea, it would be forever lost. I ended up programming a simple drum beat, and then recorded the acoustic guitar. The lyrics pretty much wrote themselves. By 6 in the morning, the song was finished. I was going to do more overdubs, but I kept playing it over and over, and I just felt like there was something so personal coming out of the speakers. By messing with it, I'd likely destroy the magic — so I left it as it is." Bringing "Salting Earth" live to the people is Kotzen's next holy mission. "My real outlet is touring — playing live as much as I can, wherever I can, whenever I can," he says enthusiastically. "It's one of the few things you can't copy, steal, or download. It's an engaging human experience that's a give-and-take between both the performer and the audience, and there is nothing else like it on this earth." Kotzen will launch his "Salting Earth" tour on April 21 at The Canyon club in Agoura Hills, California. He and his band are planning to tour extensively throughout the U.S. and continue their journey into Mexico, South America, and Europe. "Salting Earth" track listing: 01. End Of Earth02. Thunder03. Divine Power04. I've Got You05. My Rock06. This Is Life07. Make It Easy08. Meds09. Cannon Ball10. Grammy
Singer, poet, illustrator, author and activist Otep Shamaya shook things up at SXSW this past weekend by dropping her latest artistic protest of mounting regressive political actions. She took a further stand for equal rights with the world premiere of her band's empowering new music video for the heavy, rap-influenced track "Equal Rights Equal Lefts". Fans at Colours Couture's SXSW fashion showcase presented by 3Thirteen Entertainment Group this weekend were treated to the video (directed by Aleks Rastovic) for the first time during OTEP's headlining set. After the premiere, OTEP posted the video on her YouTube channel for the world to see. Watch it below (**Warning: Portions of this video are NSFW**). The "Equal Rights Equal Lefts" video and track further solidify OTEP's diligent quest for equality.
"I wrote this song to celebrate and empower all people to live their authentic selves, to live their truth, and to fight for their right to exist," Otep says. "Every day the LGBTQ community faces bigotry, bullying, ridicule and legislative attacks. We are not 'the other.' We are your friends, your family, your neighbors, your coworkers, your doctors, nurses, soldiers and fellow Americans. Simply put, this song and this video are about love and equality." OTEP will wrap up the first leg of its "The Resistance" world headline tour this week.
The band is touring in support of its most recent full-length release, "Generation Doom", which hit stores in April 2016 via Napalm Records.
Birthed in 2005, prior to the more-recent explosion of tech death, Lacerta paved the way for later-era tech death bands such as Beyond Creation and Archspire and released their debut effort, entitled Mind Processor, in 2010. The album, produced by Psycroptic guitarist Joe Haley, was the perfect combination of brutality and brains, with the over-arching sci fi themes the perfect narrative to the clinical-yet-complex compositions.
In the time it would take an astronaut to circle the earth 38,000 times, Lacerta wrote and recorded their debut effort, toured with the likes of Ruins, Psycroptic, Dreadnaught, Gape, and MSI, and wrote and recorded their brand new sophomore effort. This latest self-titled album contains eight tracks of classy, sophisticated, death metal architecture that will certainly go on to inform a whole new journey of tech death into the furthest reaches of space.
The band’s self-titled album will be released on April 14th via CDN Records. A video for the lead track, “Pillars Of Deceit” can be found below.
Tracklisting:
“Pillars Of Deceit”
“Grotesque Design”
“Hell To Pay”
“Incubation Of Tyrants”
“Void Of Shadows”

“Pillars Of Deceit” video:
Tech and death. Those two words, when combined, can mean one of either two things - either all-noodle-no-brutal, or all-brutal-with-just-the-right-amount-of-noodle. Thankfully, Tasmanian tech death mavericks Lacerta fall into the latter category.
Lineup:
Anthony Gilbert - Lead Guitars
Gabe Latham - Vocals/Rhythm Guitars
Patrick Neumayer - Drums
Justin Wilton - Bass
Frontiers Music Srl will release SNAKECHARMER's sophomore album, "Second Skin", on May 12.
The official video for the song "That Kind Of Love", taken from "Second Skin", can be seen below. The British hard rock supergroup SNAKECHARMER was originally founded in 2011 by former WHITESNAKE members Micky Moody and Neil Murray along with the perfect mix of high-caliber musicians, including Laurie Wisefield (WISHBONE ASH), Harry James (THUNDER, MAGNUM), Adam Wakeman (OZZY OSBOURNE), and Chris Ousey (HEARTLAND). The band's debut self-titled album was released in 2013 and musically the record showed a finely crafted hard rock style mixed with blues and melodic overtones, akin to Micky and Neil's former band and BAD COMPANY, with hints of early FOREIGNER as well. SNAKECHARMER played live shows regularly in support of the album's release and built a solid fanbase in Europe. In 2016, Moody left the band and was replaced by the Irish-born Simon McBride on lead guitar. Simon was hailed "among the best blues-rock players anywhere in the world" by Guitarist magazine and has built up an impressive resume playing with outstanding rock, soul, and blues artists. "Second Skin" is the hotly anticipated second effort from SNAKECHARMER and brings the listener straight back to the good old days of real rock n' roll played with heart and soul. Slightly harder edged compared to the debut, but with roots still firmly planted in the classic hard rock vibe with a hint of late '70s AOR, this new record sounds fresh and crisp. Murray says: "It's been a rather long journey, but finally I'm very pleased to announce that SNAKECHARMER are soon to release our new album, 'Second Skin'.
"The band has now found its own unique musical identity and in particular Laurie Wisefield and Chris Ousey have contributed some very powerful and melodic songs, which still have the SNAKECHARMER blues-rock distinctive trademarks.
"The band works in a very democratic and collaborative way, which means that sometimes there is a lot of discussion before decisions are finally made, and it was great to have a more objective viewpoint from producer Gary Stevenson, who also fired the band up with his ideas, enthusiasm and sonic skills.
"We can't wait to get out on tour and play some of the new songs, together with the best of our established classics, both SNAKECHARMER and WHITESNAKE, and showcase our new virtuoso guitarist, the brilliant Simon McBride." Track listing:

"We couldn't be more pleased to be working with the guys over at Spinefarm, and for a company of their caliber to be involved with us is a bit of a dream come true," the band said. "Being able to say we're on the same label as some killer bands we're really into still feels mad when we stop and think about it, but more than anything, it's a real honor. We are so stoked, my dudes."
Head of A&R UK Dante Bonutto said, “For me, the best bands operate on different levels – there's the songs, of course, but behind that a way of seeing the world, a singular vision that informs both music and visuals. From the first time we met the guys in Puppy and heard their music, we were drawn into their world, their vision, and knew we wanted to bring that world to Spinefarm."
Following the success of their debut album, Reign Of Suffering, UK hardcore-metal mob, Malevolence, return with the video for new track “Slave To Satisfaction”, the first single to be taken from the band’s follow-up album, Self Supremacy, set for release on May 19th through BDHW Records. Frontiers Music Srl will release HAREM SCAREM's fourteenth studio album, "United", on May 12. The disc offers up eleven tracks of trademark HAREM SCAREM music from Harry Hess (lead vocals, keyboards), Pete Lesperance (guitars, bass, keyboards), longtime drummer Creighton Doane, and backing vocals from original sticksman and current RED DRAGON CARTEL singerDarren Smith (who will be playing live drums for the band on tour dates).
The official video for the song "Sinking Ship", taken from "United", can be seen below. Frontman Harry Hess says: "This year will mark the thirtieth year of HAREM SCAREM and I can tell you that we are just as excited about writing and recording today as we were then. The brand new 'United' album is one of the best collection of songs we have ever put on one release and I can't wait for everyone to hear it!" HAREM SCAREM make it clear they still have something to say right from the start with the title track, "United", a chunky slice of guitar-driven melodic rock nirvana that kicks off their strongest studio outing since the early 2000s. From there, the album lifts off with well-crafted songs featuring big choruses with simple and addictive hook-laden earworms. Each track carries a power-rock-packed punch, swaggering riffs, and hooks to die for. Hess and Lesperance without a doubt show the world that their partnership still works, that they indeed are still "united." With sales of well over a million records in forty-three countries and twelve Top 40 hits around the globe, HAREM SCAREM has returned and is ready to dominate while touring the world in support of "United".
