Emperors And Elephants is a hard-driving, modern heavy rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The unique vibe and sound of the band gives E&E a strong identity, which led directly to signing with Pavement Entertainment.
Over time, Emperors Aand Elephants became a solid touring machine, its popularity soaring at every turn. Unfortunately, tragedy struck on the evening of August 13th, 2016, in Savage, Minnesota, when Jeff Windisch, lead guitarist and founding member, suffered a massive heart attack and passed away.
After taking some much needed time to recover and heal from the devastating loss, the band decided to honor Jeff by keeping Emperors And Elephants alive. Long-time friend Anthony Modica stepped up to the plate and became a permanent member of E&E as lead guitar. Banding together, they have completed their highly anticipated follow-up album “Moth.” The album hits shelves today, March 17th.
Progressive death/thrash outfit Hemotoxin have released the official video for "Bleak Prognosis," a song from Unspeakable Axe Records album Biological Enslavement. The video was filmed by Red Fox Production. Special thanks to Ronin Studios and Ritchie Orozco.

The new self-titled album from Florida death metal veterans OBITUARY can be streamed in its entirety below. The disc is being released today (Friday, March 17) via Relapse. Also available is the "Ten Thousand Ways To Die" video, directed by Balázs Gróf.
Comments OBITUARY: "We are so stoked about the new 'Ten Thousand Ways To Die' video. We knew even while making the 'Violence' video from the 'Inked In Blood' release that there would be a continuation video to follow. It just goes to show once again that this band is not afraid to have a good time and laugh at ourselves. Balázs is an amazing artist and captured the band's characters and personalities perfectly in both videos and we are so excited to get the reaction from the OBITUARY fans."
Picking up where 2014's "Inked In Blood" left off, OBITUARY show no signs of slowing down as they continue to reign as kings of death metal. Recorded at the band's home studio in Tampa, "Obituary" is a ten-track tour de force of bone-pulverizing death metal that is as heavy, uncompromising and infectious as anything they've released in the group's historic, nearly 30-year career.
"Obituary" track listing:

The cover art was created by Andreas Marschall and can be seen below.
Commented OBITUARY vocalist John Tardy: "When writing records the songtitles and album titles are always the last things on our minds. We know that the songs themselves are the most important thing, so with this our tenth studio album and nearly three decades as a band, we thought it was the perfect time for a self-titled release. It always helps to have a killer album cover so we worked with Andreas Marschall, gave him our ideas and thoughts and asked him to break out the big guns to create an epic logo and he delivered like he always has for OBITUARY." Added the band in a collective statement: "We could not be any more excited about this new album. We had a blast writing and recording it and having Ken [Andrews, guitar] and Terry [Butler, bass] as part of the writing process was a very cool experience for all of us.
"We really took our time with the writing process of these new songs, recording riffs and ideas as we went along and recording them as rough mixes then listening back and making necessary changes to help mold them into the songs that we are extremely proud of. "It's always a challenge in the studio to get the song ideas out of your head onto the recording the way you want but we made sure we were comfortable with the songs and the sounds we were getting before we even hit the record button and it made it a great experience.
"It's hard to believe it's been two and a half years since the release of 'Inked In Blood' and we are so excited to get this new album into the hands of our fans.
"Can't wait for everyone to hear it. Hang on to your ass!!!!"
OBITUARY will hit the road this spring as part of the 2017 Decibel Magazine Tour with KREATOR, HORRENDOUS and MIDNIGHT. The tour kicks off on March 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina and runs through April 15 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Stockholm, Sweden's Krehated have released a powerful new music video for the song "Awaken Ignorance" taken from their latest full-length album, The Venomous Mind. The video was directed and produced by David Andersson, Dennis Andersson, and Johan Hallman. The lead actor portrayed in the video is Andreas Vrenning.
Krehated recently inked a deal with Zombie Shark Records, the new label founded by Noah "Shark" Robertson, (Motograter, The Browning). The band wields a devastatingly heavy, groove-oriented sound that is reminiscent of nu-metal-era bands such as Chimaira, Slipknot, and Korn.
The band recorded their feature full-length album The Venomous Mind at JV Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. It was mixed and mastered by Christian Svedin (The Unguided, Vildhjarta, Imminence). The artwork was created by Tomas Lacke; with additional artwork and logos provided by Gustavo Sazes and Henrik Englund (Scarpoint, Amaranthe). The song "The Parasite" features a guest appearance from Richard Sjunnesson (The Unguided, Sonic Syndicate).
"We all have demons inside our heads. It doesn't matter how successful you are, how wealthy you are or how sane you seem to be. Everyone has been through rough times at some point in their lives and then carried around the aftermath... demons or venom in their minds. The Venomous Mind is all about that. Our inner demons. Our inner fears. Our infected minds. The world of today is a disgusting place at times. This world brought us this hate. This world created us. We are the Krehated."
Tracklisting:
"Venenum Introrsum"

"The Parasite" featuring Richard Sjunnesson

The official video for the song "One By One" from AS LIONS, the British rock outfit fronted by Austin Dickinson — the son of IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson — can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's debut full-length album, "Selfish Age", which was released on January 20 via Better Noise Records.
Filmed underground in Manchester, and with the metal five-piece's rip-roaring performance at its heart, the video's narrative conveys the themes of metamorphous, shedding your skin and ultimately embracing who you really are.
"One By One" comes ahead of AS LIONS' London headline show at the Boston Arms Music Rooms on March 22, with support coming from BRUTAI and SHADOWS INTO LIGHT. This special date in the capital serves as the perfect warm-up for their upcoming string of U.S. shows across April and May with the likes of SHINEDOWN, NOTHING MORE, I PREVAIL and P.O.D. AS LIONS is also confirmed for its first U.K. festival appearance of the year at Bristol's Fat Lip Festival in July with YOUNG GUNS. The band will also be playing a number of European and U.S. festivals, including Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, Graspop Metal Meeting, Rock On The Range and Northern Invasion. "Selfish Age" is the follow-up to AS LIONS' debut EP, "Aftermath", released last year. Helmed by award-winning producer David Bendeth (OF MICE & MEN, PARAMORE, BRING ME THE HORIZON) and Kane Churko (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, DISTURBED, IN THIS MOMENT), "Selfish Age" is an illustration of the band's mission to create "the biggest, baddest hard rock we could, and on an almost cinematic scale." The album's 11 dynamic tracks are a study in contrasts, with the epic and evocative "Aftermath", the crushing "Deathless", which targets the Internet culture's obsession with image, "Bury My Dead", a hard-hitting personal statement complemented by stately piano tinklings, and the electro-tinged title track, "Selfish Age".
Comprised of Dickinson, guitarist and keyboardist Conor O'Keefe, guitarist Will Homer, bassist Stefan Whiting and drummer Dave Fee, AS LIONS are the evolution of British rock.
"Selfish Age" track listing:
01. Aftermath02. The Suffering03. Bury My Dead04. Deathless 05. Selfish Age06. White Flags07. Pieces08. World On Fire09. One By One10. The Fall11. The Great Escape
AS LIONS was formed after the breakup of Austin's previous band, RISE TO REMAIN, which released one album, "City Of Vultures", in 2011.
"Shine On", the new video from New Jersey thrash metal veterans OVERKILL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "The Grinding Wheel", which was released on February 10 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was produced by OVERKILL and mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ACCEPT). The artwork was created again by Travis Smith (NEVERMORE, OPETH, SOILWORK, DEATH).
OVERKILL frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth recently told the Croatian metal portal NoiseEyes.com about the musical direction of "The Grinding Wheel": "First and foremost, production. Andy has done some great work with different bands in the genre from ACCEPT to ARCH ENEMY. He's really the metal go-to guy. But we wanted to use his abilities, but we wanted to use them with regard to how we saw the record being. One of the things we saw in modern metal is a guitar tone that doesn't have a cohesive relationship with the drums. We wanted more organic drums to start with, and we wanted a guitar tone that came somewhere out of the high technology of the '90s. So it's really kind of a throwback with regard to our thinking, so if you're thinking a drum sounding like a drum and the guitars sounding more in the vein of 'Horrorscope' for us, where it wasn't just top end, but top end and low end with a little bit of mids carved out of them. I think that's the thing I noticed the most about it."
He continued: "With regard to songwriting, we had done three records, 'Ironbound', 'The Electric Age' and 'White Devil Armory', that were for us, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. [Laughs] Or sisters! There's something about them where there was a formula that we were, I think in our opinion, neglecting some of the other tools that we've accumulated over the years. 'The Grinding Wheel' is much more diverse. There's an epic feel to some of the songs. There's a sludgy, slower feel. There is 'Our Finest Hour', which has been released, which could fit on one of those other three records but everything else doesn't seem like it would fit on these records. I think it's a wider OVERKILL, but press play when you get it. I think that's the best way for people to decide. Everybody has got to be a critic. That's the idea of being a music fan. I'm a music fan, but I'm also a critic. I love or I hate, or it's okay. It'd rather be loved or hated, not 'Ah, it's okay, whatever.'"
"I Got What You Want", the new video from the internationally renowned glam rock band STEEL PANTHER, can be seen below. The clip was filmed during the group's sold-out 2016 U.K. arena tour.
"I Got What You Want" is taken from STEEL PANTHER's upcoming album, "Lower The Bar", which will be released on March 24 via Kobalt Music Recordings. The disc was co-produced with regular collaborator Jay Ruston, and includes eleven songs recorded at studios in north Hollywood and Sherman Oaks, with an additional two tracks on a Best Buy deluxe edition.
STEEL PANTHER frontman Michael Starr told Billboard about the follow-up to 2014's "All You Can Eat": "I think we've expanded. Our style is still the same formula, I guess, but we've changed it up a bit. I could say that we used to sing about pussy and partying; now we're singing about partying and pussy, but the reality is we did switch up a few things. It's a really solid, fun, intelligent party record. We're just maturing as a band after being on the road for years together and living together. It shows."
He continued: "It's hard to put into words without sounding like a typical review, but it feels different to me. It feels like we're doing some melody lines we normally wouldn't do on a couple of sings, different kinds of moods and not necessary just 'Dr. Feelgood'. There's some different stuff in there, but everything's open for interpretation. Hopefully we connect with it."
For the uninitiated, STEEL PANTHER was formed in 2000 and is Michael Starr (vocals), Satchel (guitar), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n' roll in all its debauchery and glamour, STEEL PANTHER has established themselves as the world's premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks.
"Show Yourself", the new music video from Atlanta heavy rock icons MASTODON, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's eighth studio album, "Emperor Of Sand", which will be released on March 31 via Reprise Records.
MASTODON drummer-singer-lyricist Brann Dailor handles lead vocals on the track. "You're not as safe as far as I can tell, and I can tell," he sings on the song's chorus. "Only you can save yourself/ Soon this will all be a distant memory/ Or could this dream be real at all?"
As Dailor told Rolling Stone, he was at first reticent about adding his vocals to "Show Yourself". "When I first heard that riff, I wasn't 100 percent on it," Dailor said. "I felt like it was too easy to like or something — which is stupid, but I want to avoid 'easy.' I was wrong about that one."
The follow-up to 2014's "Once More 'Round The Sun", "Emperor Of Sand" was recorded at The Quarry Recording Studio in Kennesaw, just outside MASTODON's hometown of Atlanta, with producer Brendan O'Brien (PEARL JAM, NEIL YOUNG, AC/DC, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE), who first worked with MASTODON on their seminal 2009 album "Crack The Skye".
MASTODON kicks off a spring U.S. headline tour in support of "Emperor Of Sand" on April 14 in Missoula, Montana, with support from EAGLES OF DEATH METAL and RUSSIAN CIRCLES. The tour also includes stops at several festivals, including the Carolina Rebellion on May 5.
Each pair of tickets purchased online for MASTODON (excluding festival dates and the May 6 Philadelphia show) includes a choice of a physical or digital copy of "Emperor Of Sand". Ticket purchasers will receive instructions via e-mail on how to redeem the album on March 31. Tickets are on sale now.
Norwegian rockers KVELERTAK have released the official music video for "Bronsegud", from their new LP, "Nattesferd", which was celebrated globally as one of 2016's best metal releases. The video, which was directed by Stian Andersen, documents the band's life on the road as they travel the world performing neck-breaking sets to sold-out audiences.
Furthermore, KVELERTAK has been announced as special guests for the entirety of METALLICA's upcoming "WorldWired" European tour. Dates are set to kick off September 4 at The Netherlands' Ziggo Dome and continue through May 2018.
Recently profiled by Vice's Noisey Shreds, KVELERTAK took home its third Spellemann award (Norway's Grammy equivalent) earlier this year for "Nattesferd". Recorded live in Oslo, Norway's Amper Tone Studio, the abum was produced by KVELERTAK and mixed/engineered by Nick Terry (LINDSTRØM, TURBONEGRO, THE LIBERTINES). It was the first KVELERTAK LP to be recorded in Norway.
The Kaster Troy-directed video for the song "Death Grip Tribulations" from BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Dario Lorina can be seen below. The track is the title cut of Lorina's second instrumental album, which was released in February via Shrapnel Records, known for discovering and recording guitarists of extraordinary ability.
Dario's new record is a powerful show of songwriting infused with shred guitar, vintage modern influence, and a richly musical band consisting of longtime musical partner Dan "D.C." Conway (drums), BLACK LABEL SOCIETY bandmates John "J.D." DeServio (bass) and Jeff Fabb (drums), along with former LIZZY BORDEN bandmate Marten Andersson (bass). It also features a song with MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell. Engineered and mixed by Fred Archambault, known for his work with ALICE COOPER and AVENGED SEVENFOLD, among others, this effort is a sheer embodiment of this high caliber guitarist's vast skill set.
Says Shrapnel's Mike Varney: "'Death Grip Tribulations' makes it clear that Dario Lorina has become a force to be reckoned with, as at twenty-seven years of age, he draws from experience far beyond his years, creating a collection of songs built on forceful rhythms, strong melodies and an arsenal of advanced guitar chops." Lorina began his professional career in 2006 at age 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-WARRANT). At age 19, he joined veteran metal act LIZZY BORDEN, whom he toured with for four years.
Dario released his first instrumental record on Shrapnel in September 2013. In January 2014, he joined BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and has since been touring worldwide with Zakk Wylde, performing on both guitar and keys, most recently on Wylde's "Book Of Shadows II" tour.

"Cognitive Contortions", the new video from instrumental modern progressive pioneers ANIMALS AS LEADERS, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's fourth album, "The Madness Of Many", which was released last November via Sumerian Records. The CD was produced by the bandmembers themselves, with guitarist Javier Reyes handling the final mix.
Following the stunning "The Joy Of Motion", which cemented the band as one of the most innovative musical forces of this generation, "The Madness Of Many" sees the band raise their creative and technical game even further.
Said ANIMALS AS LEADERS guitarist Tosin Abasi: "This album feels like total synergy between the three of us. None of this music would have turned out the same way without the equal inclusion of all of our musical ideas and that feel special. We're beyond thrilled with the result."
Added drummer Matt Garstka: "'The Madness Of Many' is an explorative and ambitious journey of harmony, rhythm, musical expression and emotion. It has been the most collaborative effort for the band and an evolution in each of the members' musical path. Although conceptually dense, it is the most natural sounding ANIMALS AS LEADERS album yet."
Reyes commented on the symbiotic nature of the new album, saying: "'The Madness Of Many' is an explorative and ambitious journey of harmony, rhythm, musical expression and emotion. It has been the most collaborative effort for the band and an evolution in each of the members' musical path."

Toronto's Sludgehammer have unleashed their new video for “Demons From The Woodwork”, one of 11 tracks on their debut album The Fallen Sun released during June of last year. The video is a band playthrough demonstrating their mind bending guitar solos, devastating heavy riffs, blistering drum fury and dynamic vocal performances from lead vocalist Chris Szarota plus bassist Dan Ayers.
Their latest album The Fallen Sun is the follow up their 2014 EP Organ Harvester and was self-produced by the band plus mixed by guitarist Tyler Williams along with mastering done by world renowned producer & engineer Lasse Lammert (Gloryhammer, Alestorm, Teramaze) at LSD Studio in Germany.
St. Louis thrash metal act, Final Drive, have released a video for “Six Feet Down, featured on their new album, Dig Deeper, released back on February 3rd. The video is available for streaming below.
Italy’s Sawthis have released a 360º music video for the track “Start A New Game”, featured on the band’s new album, Babhell, out on March 24th via Mighty Music. The new clip is available for streaming below. Order the new album via Bandcamp.
The relentlessly fast-paced Babhell combines melodic and progressive influences with thrash, groove and atmospheric soundscapes, making the record an engrossing listen for any metal fan. Babhell was produced by Sawthis with mixing and mastering by Sickboy Studios.
Sawthis regard Babhell as their best work to date. Bassist Gaetano Ettorre states, "Babhell, in general, touches upon themes of poor human communication and its negative result. Everyone is talking, and no one is listening or looking at what's happening right in front of them. Ultimately, in a world where everyone is talking and no one is listening, honest dialogue becomes impossible and thoughts become just noise like a Babel, a hellish Babel, hence the name Babhell. If I had to choose a term to describe the sound of the record, it would be 'multi-emotional chaos'. Our music is a balance of rage and happiness, resignation and reaction, love and hate-Babhell represents a perfect mix of everything."
Babhell tracklisting:

After a seven-year hiatus, Italian metallers LABYRINTH will return with a brand new studio album, "Architecture Of A God", on April 21 via Frontiers Music Srl.
The official video for the song "Bullets", taken from "Architecture Of A God", can be seen below. In the spring of 2016, the band's founding members, Andrea Cantarelli and Olaf Thorsen received a call from Frontiers asking them to discuss with vocalist Roberto Tiranti the possibilities of a reunion with a return to their classic sound to mount a comeback for the band. After much discussion, the guys agreed to make an album and also to make a very special appearance at the the first annual Frontiers Metal Festival, where they performed their signature album, "Return To Heaven Denied", in its entirety. [Said performance is being prepared for a future home video release.] Olaf says: "This has been easily the most difficult and challenging album I ever worked on.
"To be honest, when Frontiers contacted me, insisting to make this reunion happen, I was skeptical and worried. We couldn't simply make a new album; it wouldn't have been honest to the fans, to ourselves.
"Of course, this is as easy to say as also unbelievably tough to make real: we have so many good albums out there, looking at us from their past and which people still keep in their minds and hearts. That's why we decided to strengthen our lineup, joining with nobody else but the best musicians we believed they would have fitted perfectly into our perspective of the music we were about to write." Andrea adds: "The making of this album has been a fantastic journey. We brought back a lot of classic elements of our music, mixing it with something new and I'm so enthusiastic about the final result." Roberto Tiranti makes it short: "Just when you thought you already gave everything you could, expressing every possible musical aspect of your way of intending music for a band like LABYRINTH, then comes 'Architecture Of A God' to remind you that nothing is impossible!" With a new lineup rounded out by drummer extraordinaire John Macaluso (TNT, RIOT, ARK), Oleg Smirnoff (VISION DIVINE, EDRITCH) on keyboards, and Nik Mazzucconi on bass, LABYRINTH are truly coming back stronger than ever and have offered up a superb self-produced album. "Architecture Of A God" (mixed by DGM's Simone Mularoni) is a record that encompasses all the elements the band is known for: fast power metal songs with unforgettable hooks, epic prog-infused metal songs, and some great melodic numbers that compose a record which is easily going to be another milestone for the Italian metal masters! "What we have in our hands, now, it's 'Architecture Of A God': by far, the most mature and complete album we ever wrote," concludes Thorsen.
"There's no will to challenge our glorious past, but I'm really confident that, once released, this album will set a new standard for our music!"
