GRAVE DIGGER - Wacken 2010 DVD Due In MarchGRAVE DIGGER frontman Chris Boltendahl confirms that the 30th anniversary show at Wacken 2010 will be released as a DVD in March of next year. Entitled Wacken United, it features the Tunes Of War album in its entirety, accompanied by appearances by Hansi Kursch (BLIND GUARDIAN) and DORO PESCH. "A show like we did in Wacken, we MUST record! We will add some cool bonus stuff. It will be history, interviews, a picture gallery with 500 photos from the Wacken show, the video, making of and we’ve got some shots of the highlands and stuff that we did 15 years ago, that we’ll put into the (concert). We’ve got some movie stuff and it will be a little like The Song Remains The Same (film). The cover is really cool, it’s the first time we’ve had three reapers on the same cover. Funny thing is, Hansi wore a kilt, but on the wrong side! We saw some footage from the DVD recordings and you can see his underwear. " 4

INDESTRUCTIBLE NOISE COMMAND: \'God Loves Violence\' Video Released"God Loves Violence", the new video from reunited late '80s Connecticut thrashers INDESTRUCTIBLE NOISE COMMAND (I.N.C.), can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's new album, "Bleed The Line", which the group hopes "will propel [I.N.C.] back onto the scene and cause a bit of mayhem when it hits the web this month," according to a press release.
Cited for their ability to work eccentric twists into both their lyrics and their licks, the boys of I.N.C. say they have emerged from their 20-year siesta ready to inject fans with an adrenalin-packed wake up call which they hope will have "a new crop of metal heads begging for mercy."
I.N.C. guitarist and lyricist Erik Barath says a modified lineup and new technology have helped the band crank the volume up even more. Wrapping its signature style around a six-pack of new tracks, the band has achieved an edgier, more brutal sound than the I.N.C. of old.
"One of our goals is to tour this new material harder than we ever got to before," Barath explains. "This music is too good to sit on a shelf somewhere. We're gonna meet our fans head on and shake up the thrash scene in a big way."
"People have been asking for it. We're just giving them what they want," Barath adds. "This isn't your Daddy's I.N.C., I can tell you that. It's 2010 and the new stuff plays like it. The creep factor alone makes it unique; this material definitely has a sick twist to it. The new record is based on the life of German cannibal Armin Meiwes, for God's sakes."
Guitarist Tony Fabrizi and vocalist Dennis Gergely, along with Barath, are carryovers from I.N.C.'s original lineup. Gergely, who recently sang with PAYBACK, says he is ready to unleash his vocal chops in honor of the band's relaunch. Drummer Dennis Leeflang, a former Lita Ford bandmember, is now on board. Bassist Sam Roon, of HUNG, is the band's newest member and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, of GUNS N' ROSES fame, lays down guitar licks on the song "Rain".
"Dennis Leeflang did the engineering," Barath explains, "so we were able to produce the entire album ourselves — the way we wanted to. People who know our music and people who don't are gonna be equally blown away. There may be a lot riding on this new material, but there's a lot of torque in this engine. If anyone can pull it off, we can."
Barath says the band's new logo, cover art and web presence are also upping the ante.
"Bleed The Line" track listing:
01. God Loves Violence
02. Bleed the Line
02. Rain (feat. Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal)
02. Full Metal Jacket
02. If I Were President
02. Fueled by Regret
INDESTRUCTIBLE NOISE COMMAND (a.k.a. I.N.C. ) 2010 is:
Erik Barath - Guitar
Tony Fabrizi - Guitar
Dennis Gergely - Vocals
Dennis Leeflang - Drums
Samuel J. Roon - Bass 1

\'From The Land Of The Ice And Snow\' Tribute To LED ZEPPELIN Due In OctoberPortland-based record company Jealous Butcher Records has set an October 12 release date for a double-disc compilation of LED ZEPPELIN cover songs, Six years in the making, "From The Land Of The Ice And Snow: The Songs Of Led Zeppelin" features more than 50 artists and bands as well as cover artwork by Carson Ellis and inner gatefold art by John King.
It started out as a fantasy.
Rob (Jealous Butcher), Matt Ward and John King were sitting around the basement in the evening working on cover art for a project, espousing their love and respect for LED ZEPPELIN in their formative musical years. And wouldn't it be nice to put together a tribute release featuring friends both near and afar, not being a "who's who" sort of tribute, but rather a "community" inspired collection of ZEPPELIN songs?
One thing led to another and before he knew it, Rob was sending out a missive through his network, calling for submissions, wondering if anyone would even be interested. At the outset there was no real concern for pedigree, or professionalism, in the traditional manner, the only stipulation was that the tracks had to be good.
Fast-forward six years, 50 tracks, countless hours of recording, tracking, editing, mastering, talking, drinking, and thinking about all things LED ZEPPELIN and you now presented with "From The Land Of Ice And Snow: The Songs Of Led Zeppelin".
A third disc's worth of songs will be available as a bonus digital download.
Jealous Butcher will donate a portion of the record proceeds from the sale of the album to a non-profit called First Octave, which aids public school music programs in the Portland area.

FIREWIND: \'World On Fire\' Video Released"World On Fire", the new video from Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND, who feature in their ranks current OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist Gus G., can be viewed below. The clip was once again directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among many others. Ullaeus oversaw all of FIREWIND's visuals on the band's last two albums.
Commented Gus: "The video for 'World on Fire' was shot entirely on green screen and I think this time Patric Ullaeus has outdone himself!
"The concept is based on the album cover artwork and it's something we're doing for the first time on a video of ours. There's a barbaric vibe to it, lots of fire, metal warriors and even a Valkyrie.
"We're very pleased with the final result and we believe this is our best video yet. Check it out and let the FIREWIND rage on!” 11

FAITH NO MORE To Play Final Show Of Reunion Tour In SantiagoInfluential '90s alt-metal act FAITH NO MORE will play the final concert of it reunion tour on December 5 in Santiago, Chile.
The band made a comeback in June 2009 with a headlining performance at the Brixton Academy in London, England and has been playing sporadic shows ever since.
Although fans have been hoping that FAITH NO MORE would eventually enter a recording studio to begin work on a new album, it now appears that the group has decided against the idea.
Keyboardist Roddy Bottum told Chile's Terra.cl, "In my opinion recording an album was a great idea. The balance was good because we know each other well. But things were complicated — it was very strange to return after a decade.
"When we decided to get together, it was to reconnect and relive something we had in common. It was very important to us — but doing these shows was the only thing we were going to do.
"The craziest thing was when we met for the first time, all in a room after not seeing each other for so long.
"When we started, I thought we would only see older people at the shows, but it was mostly young people and that was very surprising.
"We've visited many wonderful places and it's all been good."
According to Bottum, the band is considering having the Santiago concert professionally filmed for a live DVD, although this has not been officially confirmed.
When asked about what he thinks FAITH NO MORE's legacy will be, Bottum told Terra.cl, "We're a very humble band — we know who we are and we just do what we do. People sometimes say we've been a big influence, which we appreciate very much — we feel very honored.
"I've never heard INCUBUS, KORN or LIMP BIZKIT. People tell me ARCADE FIRE sounds like FAITH NO MORE, but I've never heard them either."
After FAITH NO MORE completes its reunion tour, Bottum will return to his band IMPERIAL TEEN while his FNM bandmates are expected to resume work on their own individual projects. 6

TIMO TOLKKI: \'Loneliness Of A Thousand Years\' Book Details RevealedFormer STRATOVARIUS and REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE mainman Timo Tolkki will release his long-awaited book, "Loneliness Of A Thousand Years", on October 1 via Goldenworks.
Tolkki is most well-known for his music and thought-provoking lyrics. In many of his songs lies just a hint of the pain he has suffered that has shaped him into the artist he has become.
In the spring of 2004, Timo was overtaken by a nervous breakdown that caused him to be hospitalized. The next few years would completely engulf his life and leave him on the brink of suicide. "Loneliness Of A Thousand Years" candidly describes his heart-breaking journey through life and gives his fans just a glimpse into the intricate psyche of Timo Tolkki.
With a touching honesty, he describes his tumultuous childhood, his battle with a debilitating psychosis, and the philosophies that shape much of his deep thinking and views on the world. His story reveals the other side of the man that most people know only as the mastermind of STRATOVARIUS. It is an intimate portrait of his agony, as well as a probing look at an illness that affects millions, yet is widely misunderstood.
Written in a clear and compelling prose, "Loneliness Of A Thousand Years" is a bold, honest and ultimately uplifting look at the life of a man and his childhood, growing up as Timo Tolkki. 10

LD/50 Announces New DrummerLD/50, the San Francisco, California-based band featuring Glen Alvelais (TESTAMENT, FORBIDDEN) on guitar, Clark Brown (GEEZER) on vocals, and Terry Goss (SCORCHED-EARTH POLICY) on bass, has recruited drummer Tony Providence (pictured below; A BAND CALLED PAIN).
Commented Alvelais: "The first time I saw Tony play with his band I was blown away by his power and prowess. There's something about watching a drummer play with confidence that can't be denied.
"It took awhile to get a hold of Tony as he was busy touring, recording and working on movie soundtracks. But the word got out that he had left A BAND CALLED PAIN and I began the search.
"We have begun rehearsals and are planning on putting the rehearsal videos on our website, www.ld-50.com. Along with preparing for upcoming shows, we are planning on getting in the studio to record another CD in October.
"Busy, busy, busy...
"Tony's first show [with LD/50] will be on October 30 in Livermore, California. We are headlining a Halloween show/party that is sure to be a huge hit. Not only do we have SERPENT & SERAPH, THE VENTING MACHINE and RELIC playing, there will be a $10.00 admission and a $25.00 VIP which includes free drink tickets, free meal, and seating in the mezzanine that includes snacks and drinks and CDs from all the bands. "We're looking forward to getting the show on the road."

BLACK SABBATH: More Remastered Deluxe Expanded-Edition Reissues DetailedUniversal Music has set a November 1 U.K. release date for the deluxe-edition reissues of the BLACK SABBATH albums "Seventh Star", "The Eternal Idol", "Live At Last" and "Past Lives".
After the departure of BLACK SABBATH's third vocalist Ian Gillan following the "Born Again" album (released in 1983) the band effectively split up and the remaining members embarked upon their own solo ventures. However, pressure from record companies and management would dictate the name BLACK SABBATH should forge-ahead and even though guitarist Tony Iommi would by now be the sole remaining original member, his unmistakable musicality and signature guitar sound would prove more than sufficient to keep the heart of BLACK SABBATH alive and beating deep into the 1980s and beyond.
"Seventh Star" (originally released in 1986) saw Iommi recruiting the skills of Dave "The Beast" Spitz and drummer Eric Singer (later of KISS) and for the first time the position of a keyboardist became a visible credit and long-serving back-room operator Geoff Nicholls was finally brought to the foreground as an official member. However, it would be the position of lead vocalist that would have the greatest impact upon the new SABBATH sound and the appointment of ex-TRAPEZE and DEEP PURPLE bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes set interest and expectations high. "Seventh Star" would be somewhat of a departure from what was expected from the BLACK SABBATH name, and the songs on "Seventh Star" are more blues inclined and in the case of the single release, "No Stranger To Love", an altogether more AOR- and radio-friendly breeze is adopted.
This remastered deluxe expanded edition of the album adds the U.S. remix of the "No Stranger To Love" single and also for the very first time on CD, a live performance from London's Hammersmith Odeon in June '86 which features then-unknown American singer Ray Gillen who was brought-in to complete the tour following the departure of Glenn Hughes due to illness.
"The Eternal Idol" (BLACK SABBATH's thirteenth studio album released in 1987) was an altogether harder-sounding record and brought back an "edge" that had been missing from "Seventh Star". Although the album was originally recorded with unknown American singer Ray Gillen, by the time it came to the album release Tony Martin had joined the band and subsequently replaced all the vocal work for the final album.
"The Eternal Idol" remastered deluxe expanded edition adds two single B-sides from "The Shining" — "Black Moon" and "Some Kind Of Woman" — while the second disc brings to CD for the very first time the complete album session originally recorded by the late Ray Gillen.

Although controversial in nature due to being released without permission or sanction by the band at the time, "Live At Last" (originally released in July 1980), was regardless, a landmark release for BLACK SABBATH, it being their first proper live album to feature Ozzy Osbourne on vocals (despite the fact that he had parted company with the band two years earlier). Reaching Top 5 in the U.K. chart, the tracks were recorded on the "Vol. 4" tour some seven years prior in 1973 and specifically from shows performed in Manchester and London. From the opening salvo of "Tomorrow's Dream" through "Sweet Leaf", "Killing Yourself To Live" and "Snowblind", right up to the finale of "War Pigs", the mammoth "Wicked World" (with snippets of "Into The Void" and "Supernaut") and the inevitable closer, "Paranoid", this is the original BLACK SABBATH lineup in ferocious form — and when it's this good, there was no-one better!
Captured between 1970 and 1975, the recordings on "Past Lives" show a band moving along the fast track like a runaway train. Opening disc one, with "Tomorrow's Dream", this live collection is both bombastic and unrelenting. In some respects, BLACK SABBATH classics like "Sweet Leaf", "Children Of The Grave", "War Pigs" and "Paranoid" sound even more haunting and powerful on this set because of the transcendent live energy that pervades these songs. Bill Ward has occasionally referred to a "fifth member" joining them on stage, a non-literal suggestion denoting the sheer power and energy of the four Sabs on stage together. Tracks 1-5 were recorded at the Hard Rock in Manchester on March 11, 1973 while tracks 6-9 were recorded at the Rainbow Theatre in London on March 16, 1973. Disc two expands the more familiar and available performances on disc one, with further compelling live versions of tracks recorded in Paris at the Olympia Theatre in December 1970 and Asbury Park Convention Hall, New Jersey during August of 1975
"Live At Last" remastered deluxe edition:
01. Tomorrow's Dream
02. Sweet Leaf
03. Killing Yourself To Live
04. Cornucopia
05. Snowblind
06. Children Of The Grave
07. War Pigs
08. Wicked World
09. Paranoid
