MASS WORSHIP Announce Release Of Self-Titled Debut AlbumSweden’s Mass Worship announce the release of their self-titled debut album, on October 18. To give you a taste from the album, the band is releasing a new recording of the song “Spiritual Destitution” which is available on all digital platforms and below.

Our endeavors to diverge from nature has led us to be in dissonance, not only with nature but also with ourselves and as a consequence the collective decisions we make often do more harm than good.”
Hailing out of Scandinavia, Mass Worship is a darkened metal band tastefully adding onto the rich legacy of Scandinavian metal with their uniquely heavy and gritty sound. The Stockholm based band was officially formed in January 2018, but the members carry a rich history comprising of relentless touring and recording schedules and the future that lies ahead of Mass Worship will be no different.

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY Share Music Video For "The Sea Of Tragic Beasts"New Jersey six-piece, Fit For An Autopsy, will release their fifth studio album, The Sea Of Tragic Beasts, on October 25 via Nuclear Blast Records worldwide and Human Warfare (Aus). A music video for the title track can be seen below.
"We have to be these puffed up, aggressive people to survive in this world," said guitarist and producer Will Putney about the track. "It's dog eat dog shit out there. Lyrically, the song touches on that violent way of thinking, but it also shows the inherent sadness that comes along with a life of this nature. It's the two main themes that the subject matter on our album was born from, making it a fitting title track. Musically, I think it's a cool display of everything we do as a band - some classic metal foundations with some new tricks for us, and a fight riff for good measure. Hope you enjoy it!"
The Sea Of Tragic Beasts was once again produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by the producer/guitarist Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in NJ.The artwork for the album was created by Adam Burke.

WIND ROSE - "Drunken Dwarves" Music Video ReleasedDwarven Army, Wind Rose, add another chapter to their epic, story-filled new album, Wintersaga, by releasing “Drunken Dwarves” today via Napalm Records. The track is a follow-up of their popular first single, “Diggy Diggy Hole”, which recently crossed five million views on YouTube.
“Drunken Dwarves” talks about exactly what the name suggests: drunken, mead-filled nights, starting a tavern brawl, and singing and partying until they fall (asleep, hopefully).
Says the band: "WHAT IS BETTER THAN A DWARF?! A DRUNKEN DWARF! You sang, you danced and you drank all over Europe on this song with us, now your request has been heard and answered. 'Drunken Dwarves' will blow you away among rivers of beer, mead and metal!”
The new video takes us to a tavern in Middle Earth where our favourite dwarven army is giving a concert in a small, rustic tavern with many spectators. In true dwarf-fashion, they feast, drink and enjoy the concert, but behold - an old enemy nears. Will he be accepted into the midst of the dwarves to be able to enjoy the concert or will his story end quite differently? Find out for yourself and join the dwarven party!
Watch “Drunken Dwarves” below:
Wintersaga is out on September 27 via Napalm Records. The album is available for pre-order here, and will be available in the following formats:

UNLEASH THE ARCHERS Release "Northwest Passage" Single; Music Video StreamingUnleash The Archers return with their Explorers EP, to be released on October 11 via Napalm Records. The first single “Northwest Passage”, originally written and performed by Stan Rogers, is now available.
At first glance, the video for "Northwest Passage" seems to show the difficulties of life in a band: the rigours of touring, missing your family, the endless hours in the studio, sometimes it might even feel as if you’re slowly losing your mind, but in the end, the part of you that wants to keep making music, keep touring, keep making your fans happy, is always the part that prevails.
Unleash The Archers on the video for “Northwest Passage”: “This song is about touring across Canada, and equating it with being on those early expeditions that sought the Northwest Passage hundreds of years ago. Stan Rogers, who wrote and recorded the original, imagined that in another life he himself may have been an explorer, braving the unknown to satisfy a deep-seated need for danger and excitement. We took his words and put a bit of a sci-fi spin on them... What if in another life UTA had never existed? What if the band had different members? What would change if we were just friends and never bandmates? What if those timelines converged?... What follows is a video of infinite possibilities, infinite universes smashing into one another and battling for prominence. Which timeline is true? Which UTA will win? Is it the UTA you know and love, or perhaps something a bit more sinister? You’ll have to watch and find out! ”
The artwork for Explorers was created by Dusty Peterson and Unleash The Archers are very happy with it: “We feel it captures the essence of seeking the ‘Northwest Passage’ perfectly. If you have ever read 'The Terror' by Dan Simmons or watched the show you'll know exactly what we were going for. This EP has darkness written all over it, but the songs themselves have a slightly uplifting undertone as well. One can only imagine how exciting it must have been to explore this unknown continent back in the day, but also, how terrifying.”
Explorers will be available in the following formats:
- 7" Vinyl Single Black – strictly limited to 300 issues
- 7" Vinyl Single Silver – strictly limited to 100 issues
- 7" Vinyl Single White – strictly limited to 100 issues
- Digital EP

ANATHEMA Signs With MASCOT LABEL GROUPMascot Label Group has announced the signing of ANATHEMA.
The award-winning alternative rock masters have released 11 studio albums of fearless and uncompromising beauty. Ever since their debut, "Serenades", in 1993, they've refused to be pigeonholed and have continuously evolved; all the way up to their most recent studio album, 2017's conceptual masterstroke "The Optimist", which revealed some of the darkest, most challenging music they ever put their name to, as well as a series of live albums and compilations.
Led by brothers Daniel (vocals, guitar, keys) and Vincent Cavanagh (guitar, keys, vocals) along with John Douglas (percussion), Lee Douglas (vocals) and Daniel Cardoso (drums), ANATHEMA will be heading into the studio in 2020 to work on a new album.
ANATHEMA will perform a special one-off set at Space Rocks at the Indigo at the O2, London on Saturday, September 21 titled "The Space Between Us". They will be using unique visual imagery from the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with multimedia artists Kristina Pulejkova. The set promises to be a musical and visual extravaganza. The event will also feature Tim Peake (ESA astronaut), Shahrzad Timman (robot engineer), Suzie Imber (solar system explorer) and Lucy Hawking (author) amongst others as well as music from ANATHEMA, AMPLIFIER, VOYAGER and Anna Phoebe.
To mark this occasion, the band descended on the Science Museum, London to sign the contract with Mascot Label Group CEO, Ed van Zijl in front of ESA's Structural Thermal Model of the BepiColombi, which is currently on a seven-year journey to Mercury, in one of the most challenging planetary missions ever launched.
Talking about the signing to the label, Ed van Zijl says: "One of the great innovative British rock bands! Over the years they have been able to progress musically, artistically and naturally into the future as only the strong ones can. I am very excited to have the band now join the MLG family and taking the next step together with us."
ANATHEMA manager Andy Farrow of Northern Music Company said: "After nine years and four albums with Kscope, whom I would like to personally thank for all their work on the band, when the band came on to the market again, I received quite a lot of offers, of which we whittled down to labels we were going to take a meeting with. I found that Ed and his team at Mascot had a very refreshing outlook to releasing albums and building bands. I had previously met the people in the U.K., Dutch and NYC offices when they were pitching for another of my acts and remember being very impressed by them and I'm delighted to be working with them on ANATHEMA's next release in 2020.”
Danny Cavanagh said: "We are all extremely excited to announce our new contract with Mascot Label Group. This is the beginning of a new adventure for us and we are looking forward to a wonderful partnership with Mascot in the coming years. I would particularly like to pay tribute to Kscope for their unwavering support and great work over more than a decade. They've been a big part of our lives and we say thank you very much to all the staff there. Of course, we owe a debt of gratitude to Andy Farrow, Jasper at Northern Music Company for excellence in management and guidance. Last but not least, a huge thanks to the fans, without whom, none of this is possible."
Vincent Cavanagh also spoke about the signing, saying: "I'd like to give my thanks and respect to everyone at Kscope who we have had the pleasure of working with for the last nine years. They always gave us complete creative freedom and always supported everything we wanted to do as a band. They're great people and a lot of fun to work with. Looking forward to the next adventures with the guys at Mascot."

Toby Jepson's WAYWARD SONS Premier "Any Other Way" Music VideoWayward Sons return with a new album, The Truth Ain’t What It Used To Be, out on October 11 via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch a video for the song, "Any Other Way", below.
The album will be released on CD, vinyl and digitally and pre-order links are available here. There will also be a limited orange vinyl available from the band’s store and the label’s US and EU stores, here.
The new album could be called a concept record, as there is a narrative thread that connects the twelve tracks, but singer/guitarist and songwriter Toby Jepson, prefers to call it a 'protest' record and describes the new materials as 'political' but not of the sort that seeks to hammer the message home, more of a reflection of his take on where the world and we are. Jepson admires and draws influence from storytellers like Elvis Costello, David Bowie and Queen - artists who could pass on their message through their storytelling craft.
Wayward Sons is a UK guitar act made up of Toby Jepson (Vocals/Guitar), Sam Wood (Guitar), Nic Wastell (Bass), Dave Kemp (Keys) and Phil Martini (Drums). They have an impressive resume of groups they have previously worked with - Little Angels, Gun, Spear Of Destiny, Treason Kings and Chrome Molly to name a few - which is reassuring in terms of the band as players, but doesn’t really hint at their sound. Wayward Sons sound nothing like the sum of their parts. The music is hard rock, but mixed with a vitality and energy - both musically and lyrically.
Frontman Toby Jepson was, of course, the singer and songwriter in British rock act Little Angels, who enjoyed great success at home and abroad and achieved a UK number one album with their third release Jam.
Tracklisting:
"Any Other Way"
"Black As Sin"
"Joke's On You"
"Little White Lies"
"Feel Good Hit"
"Fade Away"
"Have It Your Own Way"
"Long Line Of Pretenders"
"If Only God Was Real"
"The Truth Aint What It Used To Be"
"Punchline"
"Us Against The World"

SACRED REICH Frontman On 'Awakening' Album: 'We Definitely Wanted To Not Forget Where We Came From'Chris Akin of "The Classic Metal Show" recently conducted an interview with frontman Phil Rind from Arizona thrash metal veterans SACRED REICH. You can listen to the entire chat below. A few excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).
On whether SACRED REICH never got its "just due" in the thrash metal scene:
Phil: "I was talking with someone the other day and we were talking about what was going on when we were coming up and this explosion of thrash bands, after bands like METALLICA and SLAYER kicked the door open. We always felt part of that. I always felt like we were fortunate to be at the right place at the right time, to be part of the scene and something that was new and interesting and cool. But I think we were also somewhat apart from it, being from Phoenix. We weren't from the Bay Area or New York. We always had our own kind of take on things that was maybe less affected just because of proximity. For better or worse, that's all just all somebody's judgment. I just figure people take it for what it is. It's still the same. It's still the same now. We just do our thing, whatever that thing is, and hopefully people dig it."
On SACRED REICH sticking to its core sound on its first studio album in 23 years, "Awakening":
Phil: "It was interesting, even thinking about what we sound like now. It's, like, 'Well, what do we sound like?' I have a friend and he's, like, 'You sound like whatever you do. Just write the songs and it's SACRED REICH.' I'm, like, 'Yeah. I guess there's no reason to get all confused about everything.' We definitely wanted to not forget where we came from and all the people who have been with us since 'Ignorance' and the people who have supported the band and allowed us to be in this position. We didn't want to forget about that. We definitely wanted to add new things to what we're doing and just keep moving forward, so I think there's a nice mixture of songs on the record, and I think hopefully people will like it."
On what prompted SACRED REICH to record a new album after Rind previously stated the band had no plans to do so:
Phil: "We started playing live again in 2010, and we've been going to Europe to play festivals. That was pretty much going to be it. We just didn't have any songs. One day, it just came back; the songs started popping in our head. It was a sign. [Laughs] It's, like, 'Wow! We have these songs. Looks like we're going to go make a record.' It was just pretty natural the way the whole thing happened. I don't know why. I don't know what changed, but something changed, so we're like 'Cool.' We're going to go with it. We're not going to think about it too much, and that's all."
On the importance of drummer Dave McClain (ex-MACHINE HEAD) rejoining SACRED REICH:
Phil: "We already had a record contract with Metal Blade [Records] and we knew we were going to go make a record. We already knew that we were going to do that. When we split with Greg [Hall], it was, like, 'What are we going to do?' I was, like, 'Who knows?' We don't know. But I knew there was one call I was going to make for sure, and I talked to Dave: 'Greg's out of the band.' He's, like, 'I wanna do it. I wanna do the record. I wanna do the tour.' I was like 'Cool!' He was still in MACHINE HEAD at the time, so they were going to be busy for a year, year and a half, so we kept working. Even when I spoke to him, he was still in MACHINE HEAD, then as time progressed, he realized he didn't want to be in MACHINE HEAD, but when we originally spoke that wasn't the deal. It all worked. I mean, we couldn't be happier. Dave's such an awesome drummer and brought so much to the record. He's been quite busy the last 23 years and has way more experience doing things than we do. It's nice to have this perspective. He's just such a great guy. When you're traveling together very closely, it's important everyone gets along. We're really fortunate."
On whether the era of social media has made attention-grabbing headlines more important than the interviews themselves:
Phil: "Some people will get it. Some people won't get it. Then as far as SACRED REICH is concerned and the vast majority would say, 'Who?' You know what I mean? That's the honest part of it. Look, the people who like our band like our band. The people who don't like our band don't like our band. The people who like our band will find reasons to like it. The people that don't will find reasons not to. The vast majority of the people on the planet have no clue who we are. Let's be realistic about stuff. I remember when Blabbermouth posted 'SACRED REICH is doing a split with IRON REAGAN'. The first song is called 'Don't Do It Donnie'. Then I saw the reaction come in about a song that no one's even heard yet. They're just basing their opinion on the title. I just had to giggle because it's hysterical. People want to overreact — go for it, man. It's not my business. What other people want to do, that's their business, not mine. Someone said a long time ago, 'Other people's opinion of me is not my business.' I just always laugh and I think there's a lot of truth to that. We'd be foolish to think that everybody's going to like everything you do. That would be silly. Don't feel that way and you won't be disappointed."
"Awakening" was released August 23 via Metal Blade. The album was produced by Arthur Rizk, who has previously worked with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, POWER TRIP and CODE ORANGE, among others. 3

HELLYEAH's CHRISTIAN BRADY On Band's Future: 'I Would Love To Be Able To Continue On'Christian Brady says that HELLYEAH's future is uncertain as he and his bandmates continue to mourn the death of their drummer, Vinnie Paul Abbott.
Vinnie Paul passed away in June 2018 at the age of 54 in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas. The official cause of death was dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease.
Vinnie recorded a total of six albums with HELLYEAH over the past decade, including the upcoming "Welcome Home", for which he laid down his drum tracks before his passing.
In a brand new interview with Metal Injection, Brady said that no long-term plans for HELLYEAH have yet been made as the band continues the tour cycle for "Welcome Home".
Asked what the future holds for HELLYEAH, the guitarist said: "I don't know if I really can answer that right now. Everything feels really good right now to be playing together again. We're excited to be out here doing this and supporting this record and honoring our brother. I think that's something that we're gonna have to try to feel out as we go along and see where we're at when we're done with this record cycle and see what everybody is feeling."
He continued: "There's a lot of emotions involved. I personally think that I would love to be able to continue on because I couldn't imagine not playing with these guys and making the music we make. Obviously, Vinnie was such a big part of that. There's a lot to that. So I think honestly that's something we're kind of taking day by day right now. We're doing this tour and we're going to support this record and celebrate Vinnie and his legacy. And I think that's something we'll probably really address as we get further down the road and see where everybody's heads are at."
HELLYEAH has just completed a U.S. tour — its first since Vinnie's passing and the debut of STONE SOUR member Roy Mayorga as Vinnie's replacement.
HELLYEAH's 18-city headlining summer outing kicked off on July 23 in Atlanta, and culminated in a special celebration on Saturday, August 17 in Dallas, Texas.
"Welcome Home" will be released on September 27 via Eleven Seven Music.
Like the last two records, 2016's "Unden!able" and 2014's "Blood For Blood", "Welcome Home" was recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko.

BLACKRAIN Release Official Video For New Single "A Call From The Inside"French sleaze rockers Blackrain release their third single and video for the song "A Call From The Inside" today. The song is taken from the forthcoming studio album, Dying Breed. Check out the video below.
Composed and recorded in Sweden where Swan, the frontman, is permanently settled, this new album, Dying Breed, is like a response to the way the music world goes. Surrounded by electro music and RnB, struck by the death of many of their idols that made the rock history, asked by people why they still wear this old-fashioned long hair, the four guys more and more felt like a dying breed, “the last of their kind” as it is said in the new song.

KIRK HAMMETT Wants METALLICA To Perform Its RONNIE JAMES DIO Medley LiveKirk Hammett says that he would like to see METALLICA perform its Ronnie James Dio medley live at an upcoming concert.
METALLICA's "Ronnie Rising Medley" consisted of four Dio-era RAINBOW songs ("A Light In The Black", "Tarot Woman", "Stargazer" and "Kill The King") and was included on the 2014 charity tribute album "Ronnie James Dio - This Is Your Life". "Ronnie Rising Medley" later also appeared on the deluxe edition of METALLICA's latest studio album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct".
Hammett and the other members of METALLICA were asked to name their favorite cover song to play live in a fan question-and-answer session in the latest issue of U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine. The guitarist replied: "Well, [MISFITS'] 'Last Caress' is just one of those songs, man. It's just so quick and to the point. I love a lot of the covers we do.
"One thing that I would like to do live one of these days is the Dio/RAINBOW medley. I think that'd be fucking incredible to do that live sometime because I'm a big Dio fan, I'm a big RAINBOW fan."
Back in 2014, METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone that covering RAINBOW's classic material was a no-brainer. "[Dio's] music is so much a part of what's in METALLICA's DNA, the harder, edgier, blues-based hard rock from the seventies," he explained. "It was fairly effortless to put this together, because it's something that we were all reared on. I don't recall sitting there in a band meeting or anything deciding what to play. Somebody starts playing 'Stargazer' — which is sort of just like something that's in our arsenal to jam — and then that whole period there, 'Tarot Woman', 'Kill The King', 'A Light In The Black' — that's just really effortless to jump into."
Other songs that METALLICA has covered in the past include DIAMOND HEAD's "Am I Evil?", BUDGIE's "Breadfan", QUEEN's "Stone Cold Crazy" and DEEP PURPLE's "When A Blind Man Cries". 33

TOMMY LEE Makes Fun Of TRUMP For Dodging Easy Questions About His 'Favorite Book' The BibleTommy Lee has made fun of President Donald Trump by sharing a four-year-old video of the billionaire real estate mogul being unable to name his favorite verse from the Bible.
In the widely viewed clip, Trump, who regularly tells crowds that the Bible is his favorite book, was asked by on Bloomberg's "With All Due Respect" to share his favorite verses. Trump, a Presbyterian, responded: "I wouldn't wanna get into it. Because to me, that's very personal. The Bible means a lot to me, but I don't wanna get into specifics."
Trump, who once referred to communion as "my little wine and my little cracker," was asked if he prefers the New or Old Testaments. "Probably equal. I think it's just incredible," he said.
The MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer tweeted out the video on Thursday along with the following caption: "Donald Trump unable to name one verse from 'favourite book' The Bible"
Lee has repeatedly voiced his displeasure with Trump, including earlier this month when he implored the president to "wake the fuck up" after he blamed the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings on video games and mental illness.
Last December, Tommy referred to the 45th U.S. president as an "asshole" and labeled his supporters "dumbasses." A year earlier, he called the president "a fucking idiot" and said the people who voted for him are "dickheads."
After Trump was elected president in November 2016, Lee expressed his disbelief on Twitter, writing: "What the actual fuck is happening?"
This past November, Tommy lambasted Trump for blaming California's recent wildfires on poor forest management. "Can you be anymore insensitive you fucking moron" Lee tweeted. 13

LEPROUS Releases Music Video For New Single 'Below'Norwegian rock outfit LEPROUS has released the official music video for its new single, "Below". The clip was directed by Dariusz Szermanowicz of Grupa13 (BEHEMOTH, KREATOR, AMON AMARTH) and filmed in Wroclaw, Poland. The song is taken from the band's sixth and most ambitious studio album, "Pitfalls", which is due on October 25 worldwide via InsideOut Music.
LEPROUS vocalist and keyboardist Einar Solberg checked in with the following comment about "Below": "'Below' was the first song written for the 'Pitfalls' album and it was composed in a period of denial of what was to come. It was a very spontaneous song, made first with only piano and vocals.
"'Below' is a very emotional and melancholic track, and it means a lot to me personally — both musically and lyrically. Large cinematic string arrangements, electronic elements, very acoustic and organic parts — all combined. Very epic but at the same time very fragile!"
"Pitfalls" was once again recorded with David Castillo at Ghostward Studios (OPETH, KATATONIA). The disc was mixed by Adam Noble (PLACEBO, BIFFY CLYRO, NOTHING BUT THIEVES, DEAF HAVANA). The cover artwork is a painting by Indonesian artist Elicia Edijanto.
"Pitfalls" will be available as limited mediabook CD with two bonus tracks, as a standard jewelcase CD and as gatefold 2LP on 180-gram vinyl (on black vinyl and various limited colored editions) with the album on CD as bonus and an etching on the D side.
"Pitfalls" track listing:
01. Below
02. I Lose Hope
03. Observe The Train
04. By My Throne
05. Alleviate
06. At The Bottom
07. Distant Bells
08. Foreigner
09. The Sky Is Red
Solberg stated about the upcoming album: "We're incredibly proud to announce 'Pitfalls'! It's the album no-one is expecting from LEPROUS. When you think you know where it's headed, you'll realize that you're wrong. It's not only by far the biggest production and musical departure we've done, but the also most personal and honest.
"The album has been written through one of my toughest years, where I struggled with depression and anxiety. No filters, no metaphors, just the truth. They say that writing music is therapeutic. but I would say that it's an understatement. For me, 'Pitfalls' is the result of one and a half years of learning how to get through the dark tunnel. The music has been my torch."
Upon "Pitfalls"' release, LEPROUS will head out on an extensive European headlining tour with THE OCEAN and PORT NOIR.
LEPROUS recently performed a stunning set at Germany's Summer Breeze festival and used the opportunity to record a special acoustic version of the "Malina" track "From The Flame" for WDR "Rockpalast".
LEPROUS is:
Robin Ognedal - guitar
Baard Kolstad - drums
Einar Solberg - vocals/synth
Simen Børven - bass
Tor Oddmund Suhrke – guitar

HEAVEN & HELL - Rare Video Of Band's Final Autograph Session SurfacesBlack Sabbath fan site, Black Sabbath Online, has released video footage from Heaven & Hell's final autograph signing session, which took place in Atlantic City, NJ on August 29, 2009.
Says Black Sabbath Online: "This is video shot by Damian for black-sabbath.com of Heaven & Hell signing autographs for fans after the show they had just played. This turned out to be the final such session that Ronnie James Dio had done, as it was his final ever concert before his death next year. :( The quality isn't the greatest due to dim lighting in the room - that's why the video wasn't used 10 years ago, but for the anniversary, we thought we would release it finally."
August 10, 2009 was the last time that Ronnie James Dio took the stage for a concert. Joe Siegler sent a couple of guys to film video of the last show on that tour, with many clips already appearing online. What hasn’t really been told is the story of how that video came about, until now. Read the full story here.

CRADLE OF FILTH's 'Cruelty And The Beast' To Be Reissued In NovemberOriginally released in May 1998, CRADLE OF FILTH's heavy metal classic "Cruelty And The Beast" is regarded as one of the milestones in the gothic black metal genre.
Now 21 years later, this lustfully dark masterpiece has been wickedly remixed and remastered by Grindstone Studio's Scott Atkins and will be reissued on November 1 through legendary U.K. label Music For Nations.
Singer Dani Filth comments: "Released on the 5th of May, around the same time as we were arrested at the Vatican, 'Cruelty And The Beast' had been a painstaking labour of love, a year of intense writing amid ever growing popularity and distraction. The album's concept of the Hungarian blood countess Elizabeth Bathory — both historically astute and fictionally correct — was to become a dangerous obsession of mine and one that saw many a first light of dawn working on the lyrics, hellbent on making the story worthy of her legend."
Released on CD, transparent red vinyl and digitally, this elevated version of "Cruelty And The Beast" features new artwork from band illuminator Stuart Williamson, exclusive liner notes from Dani Filth and black metal writer and documentarian Dayal Patterson as well as a bonus track cover of IRON MAIDEN's "Hallowed Be Thy Name".
Dayal says: "'Cruelty And The Beast' has long been considered a milestone album in CRADLE OF FILTH's career, a combination of atmospheric storytelling and visceral, and surprisingly vicious, songs. This 21st-anniversary edition has bolstered those songs with an added weight, improving the sound considerably with a warmer and punchier mix, making it a must hear for long-time fans and newcomers alike."
75 limited-edition test pressing vinyl versions will also be available, each coming with a personalised signed letter from the prince of darkness himself.
With Dani Filth fully committed to the collaboration and endorsement of both the new audio and artwork, the band will be working on promo and there will be a celebratory exclusive live show at London Palladium on October 19 where they will be performing the album in its entirety.
Dani concludes: "'Cruelty And The Beast' remains a phenomenally important album in the band's back catalogue and one that I am exceptionally proud of, as I am exceptionally proud of this re-mistressed version, 21 years on from the original release. I hope the listener — sitting there by the flame-lit hearth with his/her walnut pipe on the go — thoroughly enjoys this CRADLE classic, so vividly brought back to life for the fickle world today."

KING'S X Cancels European Tour Due To Family EmergencyKING'S X has announced the cancelation of its previously announced European tour due to a family emergency.
The band says in a statement: "We are truly heartbroken that we will not be able to see all of our European fans, as we have been clamouring for these dates since we announced them. We would like the fans and all those concerned to know the band is okay. Please respect the band's privacy and please give them some time. We are doing everything in our power to reschedule the tour for 2020. (More news to come). Tickets will remain valid for the new dates or refunds can be obtained from the point of sale."
KING'S X recently completed recording its new album — the band's first in over a decade — at Blacksound Studio in Pasadena, California. The disc is due later this year via Australia's independent record label Golden Robot Records. Helming the disc is renowned producer Michael Parnin, recognized for his work with a varied range of artists, from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and Missy Elliott, to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Barbara Streisand.
Guitarist Ty Tabor told Heavy New York about how making the new LP compared to other KING'S X recording sessions: "I think every album is a little different. It just depends on where everybody's at, and how much music is brought in [versus] how much we're going to need to create on the spot. We've done things so many different ways that there really is no one way, but this latest record, we did it more like the old albums where we all brought in a whole lot of music to be gone through, and we just gravitated to the stuff that we liked the most and got all excited about. Before we knew it, we were recording 17 new songs that we loved. It's been a lot of fun... We're going to try to put as much of this on the record as we can [and] have at least a double vinyl [release]. We're already there on the double vinyl, most likely. A lot of new music."

OPETH Guitarist FREDRIK ÅKESSON Talks In Cauda Venenum - "The Goal With This Album Was To Make It As Epic As Possible"Opeth guitarist Fredrik Åkesson recently guested on the Scars & Guitars podcast to dicuss the band's new album, In Cauda Venenum. Check out the complete audio interview here.
Åkesson: "The goal with this album was to make it as epic as possible, and the fact that Mikael (Åkerfeldt) wrote the first version in Swedish, that was actually a driving force for him to finish off the songs. Basically, I think it made it more interesting for him, more challenging perhaps, to write the lyrics in Swedish. We're really happy with it, I think we really went an extra mile when it comes to recording and when it comes to choosing the right tones, amps, guitars, etc. Also, the fact that we did rehearse properly before we headed to the studio, I've always been pushing for that, and this time around, we did it. And I think that was a great investment because playing the songs together, they sink into your muscle memory, wasn't really question marks about anything, any part, we're in this actual studio so we spent a lot of time picking the right amps and so many guitars in the studio."
Opeth will release their 13th album, In Cauda Venenum, on September 13th via Moderbolaget / Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The band recently released the new song, "Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör" / "Heart In Hand", and in this new video, Mikael Åkerfeldt discusses the track:
Listen to "Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör" / "Heart In Hand" below.
Recorded last year at Stockholm's Park Studios, In Cauda Venenum will be released in two versions, in both Swedish and English languages. Various physical and digital formats will be available and additional details will be announced in the coming months.
In anticipation for the impending release, Opeth will be performing shows around the world through the end of the year. Dates are listed below and tickets are on sale now. Additional touring will be announced soon.
In Cauda Venenum tracklist;
"Livet’s Trädgård" / "Garden Of Earthly Delights" (Intro)

Formed by singer/pianist Margarita Monet and guitarist Dave Bates in 2011, the Los Angeles based band has made a name for themselves in the metal scene with the release of well-received independent albums and heavy touring both nationally and internationally. Their new album, and first for Frontiers, Universe, was produced by Mike Plotnikoff (Halestorm, Three Days Grace) and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Volbeat, Pretty Maids). "With this album, we set out to create something that would transport you to another world, music that transcends time and space and takes you on an epic ride through our 'Universe'! The songs are about shattering your fears, testing your limits, and going after your passions at the speed of light, holding on to our humanity and supporting one another as we enter our insane digital future together. Musically, the songs hit you with a cosmic wall of sound, supersonic energy with massive industrial and symphonic textures. We were very lucky to have the best production team for this album as Mike Plotnikoff and Jacob Hansen helped capture our vision perfectly," says vocalist Margarita Monet.

Finland's NORTHERN GENOCIDE Release Debut Album Today; Official Video For Genesis Vol. 666 Title Track PostedNorthern Genocide have released their debut album, Genesis Vol. 666, with a brand new video for the title track. Check it out below.
Lead guitarist Pyry Pohjanpalo comments "This music video is Inspired by the world of hoarding likes and attention in social media."
Northern Genocide is a mixture of aggressive guitar riffs and unequalled electronic elements. The industrial and modern metal tracks tell the story of our faulty society and the impending apocalypse. Genesis Vol. 666 is the debut album of this rising Finnish band, which was released today (August 30th) via Inverse Records.
Second single "Neon Antichrist" from the upcoming album is available below.
Northern Genocide was formed in 2010 in Helsinki, Finland. It all started with a meeting of old highschool friends, guitar player Pyry and programmer Rainer, after Pyry had discovered Rainer's interest in programming and computer music. They both had a history of playing in various metal bands, but now they wanted to try something new by bringing electronic influences to metal. The very same year they started recording demos in their home studio in Helsinki. At first, Pyry did the guitars and vocals and Raikka programmed the rest.
In 2012 they both began studies in Lahti-Orimattila region and wanted to put together a crew for gigs and new demos. In december 2013 the band began the recording of new 3-track demo. After some changes to the initial line-up of the band, the demo was recorded with Markku Tuuri in drums, Toni Jokiranta in bass, Pyry in guitars and Tommi Salonen as vocalist. The demo "Atlantis" was finished in October 2014.
In 2014 the band started recording it's first EP, Planet Asylum, in Orimattila, Finland. The 5-track EP was released in November 2015 and was distributed to digital stores, also made availible for promotion use in CD-format.
The band released it's first music video featuring the track "Supernova" on November 20th, 2015. The video was shot in an abandoned locomotive repair hall in Lahti, Finland. The video was produced by Runoelma Works.
Now the band releases it's first full-lenght album with 11 tracks called Genesis Vol. 666. The album is a modern mixture of melodic and industrial metal with aggressive synths and epic orchestral compositions. The lyrics written by Tommi Salonen describe the faults in today's world and exposes our society's dark sides.

Exclusive: STARGAZER Premieres “I’m The One” VideoStargazer has premiered their second single, “I’m The One”, through BraveWords! After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, DAD, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer is now ready to take on the world with their second album, The Sky Is The Limit. The album will be released in October through Mighty Music.
Founded by Tore André Helgemo and William Ernstsen in 2008, with its origin spinning out from the band Friend, which were founded by Tore André in 2005, the first time William and Tore André got to know each other. Since then they have developed their music through some lineup changes and finally in 2008 they even changed band name to Stargazer, marking a new beginning, but still keeping some of the good material from their first three years inside the band. Recording their debut album in Nidaros Lydstudio, Trondheim in 2009, with the help from producer Rune Nordahl and hired guns: Morty Black Skaget and Steinar Krokstad they released their debut album later that year (2009/2010) on Avenue of Allies Music Germany.

Video Premiere: CRASHDÏET's 'Rust'The official music video for the song "Rust" from Swedish sleaze rockers CRASHDÏET can be seen below. The track is the title cut of the band's fifth studio album, which will be released on September 13 via Diet Records in Scandinavia and Frontiers Music Srl in the rest of the world. The record marks the group's first full-length effort with vocalist Gabriel Keyes, who joined the band in December 2017. That same month, the group self-released a new song called "We Are The Legion", which is one of 11 tracks included on "Rust". Also included on the album is "Reptile", another new single featuring Keyes that was originally released in January.
"Rust" is the first CRASHDÏET studio album in six years and is the follow-up to 2013's "The Savage Playground". The disc was produced by Martin Sweet (apart from two tracks produced by Eric Bazilian and Chris Laney) and mixed by Chris Laney, who previously worked with CRASHDÏET on the band's 2005 critically acclaimed debut "Rest In Sleaze".

In October, CRASHDÏET will join forces with THE CRUEL INTENTIONS and HIGHRIDE for the "Idiots On Tour 2019" European trek.
CRASHDÏET was originally founded in 2000 by late vocalist Dave Lepard and guitarist Mary Goore, better known as GHOST's Tobias Forge. The group's 2005 debut album, "Rest In Sleaze", debuted at No. 12 in the band's home country, but eight months after its release, the 25-year-old Lepard committed suicide. CRASHDÏET then recruited Finnish vocalist H. Olliver Twisted (RECKLESS LOVE) for its 2007 sophomore album, "The Unattractive Revolution", but after touring in support of the LP, Twisted exited the group. The band then welcomed Simon Cruz, who appeared on 2010's "Generation Wild" (which reached No. 3 in Sweden) and 2013's "The Savage Playground" (which reached No. 2) before leaving the band in the midst of a Japanese tour in 2015.

SEBASTIAN BACH Kicks Off 'Skid Row' 30th-Anniversary Tour (Video)Sebastian Bach kicked off a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of SKID ROW's self-titled debut album Thursday night (August 29) at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bach opened the 15-song set with "Tornado" — the LP's final track — and "Forever" before the singer performed the rest of "Skid Row" in order. As an encore, Sebastian played two songs from SKID ROW's 1991 album "Slave To The Grind": the title track and "Monkey Business".
Setlist:
01. Tornado
02. Forever
03. Big Guns
04. Sweet Little Sister
05. Can't Stand The Heartache
06. Piece Of Me
07. 18 And Life
08. Rattlesnake Shake
09. Youth Gone Wild
10. Here I Am
11. Makin' A Mess
12. I Remember You
13. Midnight
Encore:
14. Slave To The Grind
15. Monkey Business
In June, Bach issued an "open invitation" to the other members of SKID ROW's classic lineup to "get onstage and jam" during the vocalist's current tour. Drummer Rob Affuso — who left SKID ROW in 1998 and claims to be "the only former member that keeps in contact with all former SKID ROW bandmates and is still good friends with them all" — subsequently responded to Bach on Facebook, writing, "Sure! I'll be there dude." A few days later, during an interview with Finland's Kaaos TV, guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo confirmed that he would not accept Bach's latest overture. "I'm working with my band," he said. "This is SKID ROW, and this is what I do."
Asked by Rolling Stone if he thinks his former bandmates are offended that he put his invitation out there publicly, Bach said: "No. I think it's an ego thing. They don't like when I get attention, and they don't get attention. It's always been like that. I can already see them getting mad, because I'm selling out shows, and they're not part of the show, and blah, blah, blah." 2

Watch VINCE NEIL Perform MÖTLEY CRÜE Classics In Quakertown, PennsylvaniaFan-filmed video footage of Vince Neil's August 28 performance at Univest Performance Center in Quakertown, Pennsylvania can be seen below.
Neil is continuing to tour the world with his backing group, which includes Dana Strum and Jeff Blando from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney.
Speaking to "Trunk Nation", Vince acknowledged that he is currently the only member of MÖTLEY CRÜE who is waving the flag for the band's music by performing CRÜE songs as a solo artist.
"It's a cool thing, because I love MÖTLEY CRÜE, I love MÖTLEY CRÜE's music, and I love singing, and I love the fans' reactions when they hear the songs," he said. "Whether we're playing in front of a thousand people or twenty thousand people, I can only see the front row anyway. So I'm happy for me and for the fans to be able to still hear that music after MÖTLEY CRÜE is finished."
The film adaptation of MÖTLEY CRÜE's biography, "The Dirt", was released on March 22. The movie, which was helmed by "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" director Jeff Tremaine, was picked up by Netflix after being previously developed at Focus Features and before that at Paramount.
Last year, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs for "The Dirt" movie, including the single "The Dirt (Est. 1981) (Feat. Machine Gun Kelly)", "Ride With The Devil", "Crash And Burn" and the band's own spin on Madonna's "Like A Virgin".
MÖTLEY CRÜE's last studio album was 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles", which was followed by a 2009 "Greatest Hits" compilation.
In 2015, MÖTLEY CRÜE completed "The Final Tour", closing the book on the band's iconic career after performing a total of 164 shows in 72 markets, grossing over $100 million.
To cement the sense of finality, the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE in 2014 publicly signed a "cessation of touring" contract that prevents any of them from performing under the CRÜE name in the future.
A tour film about MÖTLEY CRÜE's final shows, "The End", came out in 2016.

Listen To New MAYHEM Song 'Worthless Abominations Destroyed'"Worthless Abominations Destroyed", the new single from Norwegian black metal veterans MAYHEM, can be streamed below. The song is taken from the band's forthcoming album, "Daemon", which will be released on October 25 via Century Media.
"After teasing you guys for over six months, it's finally time to show you what we have been up to in the studio this summer," says guitarist/songwriter Teloch (a.k.a. Morten Bergeton Iversen). "Here's 'Worthless Abominations Destroyed', a track that was made with the intention to have this 'all is lost and hopeless' feeling."
The song arrives as pre-orders for the 12-song album have been released. A variety of limited edition and special variants are available, including a limited deluxe LP boxset (various colors), a limited CD mediabook in slipcase, a standard CD, a limited gatefold LP (various colors) and, of course, a digital version.
By the power of darkness and with the might of black-hearted will no two MAYHEM albums have been or will ever be the same. Over the course of MAYHEM's storied and groundbreaking 35-year career — from "Deathcrush" (1987) through "Esoteric Warfare" (2014) — the Norwegians have continuously challenged the orthodoxy of the genre they helped create. Originally informed by greats HELLHAMMER, VENOM, BATHORY and SODOM, MAYHEM eventually imbued its damnable attack with influences from all over the music extreme spectrum, indicated first on the harsh and angular "Wolf's Lair Abyss" (1997) EP and foremost on the enterprisingly brutal and revolutionary "Grand Declaration Of War" (2000).
"Daemon" isn't a direct follow-up to "Esoteric Warfare". Like all MAYHEM albums of their time, "Daemon" is unto itself. The wolf solitary and singular. Indeed, "Daemon" also isn't a new chapter in MAYHEM's storied career. Rather, it's a new tome, authoritative yet wild in character. Composed and decomposed with the same lineup — Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila (vocals), Teloch (guitars) and Ghul (guitars) — that handled "Esoteric Warfare" and performed "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" in its entirety over the last few years, "Daemon" isn't a retrofit of classic songs like "Freezing Moon", "Pagan Fears" or "Buried By Time And Dust" either. That's what the live album, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive" (2016), was for. "Daemon" is change, an opportunity for the maw of hell to open wider.
"MAYHEM will always be MAYHEM," says Teloch. "If we put the genre game aside a bit, no one else sounds like MAYHEM. Even when 'De Mysteriis' came out, it was not at first considered to be a black metal album, if my memory serves me right. Tricky to label this band. Metal would be the most fitting; it's not pure black metal, in my opinion. Not sure it has ever been actually, despite what the general opinion is. People can call it whatever they want. If it's black metal to them, then fine. We don't really care. To me, it's important to keep some sort of black metal vibe at least."
MAYHEM entered NBS Audio Studio (a.k.a. Necromorbus Studio) in Söderfors, Sweden to record drums and vocals with producer/engineer Tore Stjerna. Newly consecrated Studio A (Stjerna's Stockholm studio will continue to operate as Studio B) in an old church, Hellhammer and Csihar recorded their respective parts for "Daemon". The band then had Ghul record his guitars in the Netherlands, while the bass was engineered by Teloch and performed by Necrobutcher at Lupercal Studio in Oslo, Norway. Teloch took his guitar tracking to SleikBallaMi Studio, also in Oslo. "Daemon" was then brought back to Stjerna for mixing and sent off to Thomas Johansson at The Panic Room for mastering. The whole affair took about three months to nail down.
"Daemon" track listing:
01. The Dying False King
02. Agenda Ignis
03. Bad Blood
04. Malum
05. Falsified And Hated
06. Aeon Daemonium
07. Worthless Abomination Destroyed
08. Daemon Spawn
09. Of Worms And Ruins
10. Invoke The Oath
Certainly, the art of the album cover can be hit or miss. Not for MAYHEM. The Norwegians have crafted an aesthetic that's both harrowing and insidious. From the low contrast majesty of "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" and the blurry haunt of "Chimera" to the suggestive intensity of "Grand Declaration Of War" and "Esoteric Warfare"'s retro-modern mind machine layout, the band have always been progressively inclined where it concerns image, message, and style. For "Daemon", MAYHEM enlisted Italian designer Daniele Valeriani (LUCIFER'S CHILD, DARK FUNERAL) to understand, conceive, and deliver the cover art.
"I think this album will be most pleasing for old and new fans," says Teloch. "As most of our devoted fans know, MAYHEM has never released two albums that sound the same. That's the case this time around as well. As I said, we simplified stuff, but at the same time tried out some new stuff to keep it interesting for ourselves and, also for our fans that dig that we are doing something new on each album."
Soon after the release of "Daemon", MAYHEM will embark on a European headline tour with special guests GAAHLS WYRD and GOST. 9

ANGEL WITCH To Release 'Angel Of Light' Album In NovemberOn November 1, ANGEL WITCH will release its fifth full-length, "Angel Of Light", via Metal Blade Records.
ANGEL WITCH's 1980 eponymous debut on Bronze Records created shockwaves that would resonate throughout the nascent realm of thrash, doom and death metal. Now, nearly four decades later, the band remain custodians of a style that transcends era and archetype.
The first single from the disc, "Don't Turn Your Back", can be heard below.
ANGEL WITCH's current lineup is comprised of Kevin Heybourne (vocals, lead guitar), Jimmy Martin (rhythm guitar), Will Palmer (bass), Fredrik Jansson Punkka (drums) — the nucleus of which (Heybourne and Palmer) first formed eleven years ago, delivering 2012's critically acclaimed album "As Above, So Below". This time around, the band went to the Stationhouse in Leeds (United Kingdom) to record "Angel Of Light" with producer James Atkinson (GENTLEMAN'S PISTOLS, VOORHEES). The result is a revelation; ANGEL WITCH is reborn and more powerful than ever, retaining every iota of the melodious finesse and metaphysical intrigue that elevated them above their contemporaries from day one.
ANGEL WITCH comments: "It's hard to believe it's been almost a decade since we recorded our last album and it is so exciting for us, personally, to have another record fully finished and in the bag which reflects the passion and chemistry of the line-up we have enjoyed over the last two and a half years."
"Angel Of Light" track listing:
01. Don't Turn Your Back
02. Death From Andromeda
03. We Are Damned
04. The Night Is Calling
05. Condemned
06. Window Of Despair
07. I Am Infamy
08. Angel Of Light
