LORDI: 'Devil Is A Loser' Performance Clip From 'Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7' DVDFinnish heavy metal monsters LORDI will release their new DVD, "Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7", on DVD, vinyl and digipack on July 26 via AFM Records.
Besides the live cut of the show in Pratteln, Switzerland, recorded during LORDI's latest "Sextourcism" tour, the DVD provides a lot of bonus material, including some real rarities.
A performance clip of the song "Devil Is A Loser", taken from "Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7", can be seen below.
The live show itself has a playing time of two hours. "We just cut a little bit of my stupid announcements on stage," said Mr. Lordi about the impressive duration. "Apart from that, everything that happened this evening ended up on this DVD."
The choice of the Z7 is a matter of duration as well: There is no club that hosted LORDI as often as this one located next to the German border and for that reason, the club became something like a second home to the Finns over the years.
Though there are some live records of LORDI, "Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7" is the first official live DVD of the band, checked by the musicians, and was a plan that LORDI had been pursuing for years and finally put into practice during the "Sextourcism" tour. Mr. Lordi states: "I am very happy that we waited until the 'Sextourcism' tour, because we look amazing, the stage looks amazing and everything was perfect to create a stunning DVD."
The bonus material is stunning as well: Alongside a tour diary with LORDI, the DVD provides all of the official video clips the band ever made. Among them a real rarity, the very first official music video for "Inferno", which was made 1994 and was Mr. Lordi's final dissertation at the film academy. Besides production, location and the camera settings, Mr. Lordi was also responsible for writing, directing and editing the video and for costumes and the masks.
"That was the historical moment that the masks and costumes became an essential part of the band," he remembers. "Since it was my final dissertation, everyone was dressed up except me. When I saw the clip for the first time, I was, like, 'Fuck, everybody looks way cooler than I do.' It was supposed to be the other way around. That was the moment, I decided, to create the most elaborate costume for myself."
In the video to "Inferno", Mr. Lordi does not wear a mask. But since a real monster never loses face, the clip was censored afterwards. A retrospective edited mask had Mr. Lordi staying Mr. Lordi.

DISTURBED: Pro-Shot Video Of 'Never Again' Performance From Tel AvivDISTURBED has released a performance video for the song "Never Again", filmed on July 2 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The track, from 2010's "Asylum" album, was written about the Holocaust and calls out people who deny it.
Says the band: "Our worldwide 'Evolution' tour has been an absolute pleasure, especially sharing it with all of you Disturbed Ones.
"We anchored our European run with a sold-out show in Israel, which is one of many highlights since we kicked off this tour in January. Watch the full video for 'Never Again' live in Tel Aviv."
DISTURBED singer David Draiman, who is Jewish, addressed the crowd in Hebrew at many points during the show at Live Park Rishon LeZion and sang the Israeli national anthem "Hatikvah".
Draiman wore an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) T-shirt during the concert and at one point declared: "This is for all the IDF soldiers."
The Tel Aviv show marked the first time DISTURBED performed "Never Again" since 2011.
Although David had visited the country many times, this was the first DISTURBED concert in the Jewish state.
Both of Draiman's maternal grandparents were survivors of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, while many others on his mother's side were wiped out by the Nazis.
The United States Holocaust Museum has featured Draiman in its "Voices On Anti-Semitism" podcasts.
In recent months, Draiman has been speaking out against the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, which calls for economic pressure on Israel to end the occupation of Palestinian land, grant Arab citizens equal rights and recognize the right of return to Palestinian refugees.
Earlier in the month, Draiman spoke to KAN radio, where he called BDS advocates "idiots" and "Nazis in suits."
Draiman has in the past battled with Twitter trolls who have harassed him about his sometimes-controversial views regarding Israel and its ongoing conflict with the Palestinians. Draiman has had frequent heated exchanges with followers on Twitter, some of whom believe that Israel is not blameless in the ongoing conflict with Palestinians.

TOOL Teases New AlbumTOOL has released a short teaser for the band's long-awaited new album. The clip, which can be seen below, gives the first glimpse of what is appears to be the new TOOL logo.
TOOL's follow-up to 2006's "10,000 Days" is due on August 30. The disc is expected to include the songs "Descending" and "Invincible", which the band has performed live at its recent concerts.
TOOL's new album was reportedly produced by Joe Barresi, and mastered by Bob Ludwig, who previously worked on "10,000 Days". Recording commenced in March 2018, with drummer Danny Carey laying down his tracks first and bassist Justin Chancellor recording his parts next.
Singer Maynard James Keenan attempted to explain the long gap between TOOL albums in a 2017 interview with "The Joe Rogan Experience". Speaking about his bandmates, the singer said: "Their writing process is so drawn out. And I'm sure there's a lot of reasons why the delay has been long. Their process is very analytical, and I think, at some point, maybe because so much time has gone by from the last album, there has to be a little bit of fear in here. [You think to yourself] 'Is this record gonna be as good as the last one?' The anticipation now is… Now the pressure is huge, so I'm sure there's some of that [that] goes into play."
Last week, TOOL's legendary 1991 demo tape, titled "72826", surfaced on YouTube, Apple Music, Google Play and Pandora. It marked the first time a TOOL release had been available to stream online.
The demo contains six songs, all of which eventually surfaced on the band's 1992 debut EP, "Opiate", and its first full-length album, 1993's "Undertow", including "Sober", "Crawl Away" and "Hush".
Back in 2017, it was reported that TOOL planned to make its back catalog available on streaming platforms ahead of the release of its new album.
Fans are speculating that the release of the demo is just the start, with TOOL potentially planning to share its entire catalog via streaming ahead of the new LP's arrival.

KOSM Release Cover Of A PERFECT CIRCLE's "3 Libras"; VideoVancouver’s Kosm recently plunged listeners into the dark universe of their Bloodborne-inspired EP, Eyes On The Inside, released on June 28. The dark and agile record demonstrated the band's maturity in sound since releasing their 2018 Lovecraftian-inspired debut album, Cosmonaut, and was the first release that featured all members of the band contributing to the writing process.
In addition to the band's original material, the progressive metal quintet enjoys creating cover videos of some of their favourite bands such as Gojira, Mastodon, Queens Of The Stone Age, System Of A Down, Halestorm, Plini and many more. Adding to the list of covers, the band is sharing their new video performing A Perfect Circle's famed track "3 Libras" alongside friend James Holder of Vancouver gothic metalcore outfit 2 Shadows.
The band adds: "We're all big fans of APC and this cover turned out better than we were expecting - we try to keep things DIY and did this all ourselves! Due to time constraints between our current EP release we had to record and shoot this whenever there was time - always have to stay busy!"
The Eyes On The Inside EP is available on Spotify, Bandcamp, and Apple Music.

ANAMORPH - Instrumental Progressive Quartet To Release Lucid Album In September; "Breakthrough!" Music Video PostedFast-rising North Carolinian instrumental progressive metal band, Anamorph, announce the upcoming release of their ambitious, otherworldly full-length album, Lucid, scheduled for independent release on September 6.
The Raleigh-based quartet - featuring Sean Parkinson and Cole Lohmann on guitars, James Agusta on drums and Griffin Daniels on bass - deftly weave notes of prog-rock, prog-metal, tech death, math rock, post rock and other influences together, making the 57-minute Lucid an intriguing listen for any fan of thought-provoking metal.
Lucid, which was recorded by renowned producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, Scale the Summit, The Contortionist), is available for pre-order now via the band's website, Bandcamp and iTunes, and the album will be available to stream upon release via Spotify.
Get your first taste of Lucid now via Anamorph's new music video for the beautifully intricate single "Breakthrough!", shot by Erez Bader of Silent Flight Productions (Between the Buried And Me, The Contortionist, The Dear Hunter, Veil Of Maya) and available to view below.
Drummer James Agusta says about the video: "Working on the 'Breakthrough!' video with Erez and Nathan was a blast. We all had to do some pretty weird and goofy stuff to get some of the most memorable shots. From Nathan climbing a tree to get a killer drum angle, Sean playing guitar in the back of a moving pickup truck to nail down some dreamy guitar shots, or all of us having to do some very over-the-top facial expressions and body language for the video's climax, the entire shoot was a riot. Erez worked his magic and brought out the best in all of us, really getting us in the right mindset to execute the video."
Check out a behind-the-scenes video of Anamorph in the studio with Jamie King below:
Having taken creative leaps musically and professionally with Lucid, Anamorph's live and recorded output is a hidden gem that has greatly exceeded their exposure to the public eye at-large thus far.
Anamorph likens themselves as "a band about the world" - writing music that is deeply reflective, with themes and motifs that span the scope of the human condition - wide ranges of emotions, states of mind, thought processes, and perspectives. Anamorph emulates the world at large, drawing attention to triumphs and shortcomings, beauty and destruction, the struggles of growth, and the uncertainty that encompasses us all as we drive forward into the future.
Agusta adds: "These themes can all be found on the album, which plays and develops as a progression of thought. Musical and thematic motifs can be found throughout the album, which create ties and links between the overarching theme of the record."
Anamorph wastes no time kicking off the album with "Reverie" and "Myopia", two different entrancing examples of heavy prog-metal/rock mixed with experimental ethereals. Tracks like "Hubris" show off the band's jazz metal inspiration, while songs like "Fading Azure" and the outright ripping "Feasting a Ravaged Earth" delve into total tech death. Listeners can expect this and more on Anamorph's truly astonishing new offering.
Lucid tracklisting:
"Reverie"
"Myopia"
"Hubris"
"Fading Azure"
"Twilight's Somber Gaze"
"Feasting a Ravaged Earth"
"Breakthrough!"
"Endogenous Change"
"Sublimate"
"Overcome"
"Civilized Sociopath"
"Catharsis"
"In Time"
Anamorph have honed their performance chops by supporting artists such as Felix Martin, Consider The Source, Sarah Longfield, Toothgrinder and more. The band is scheduled to hit the road on a tour of the US east coast this September, performing with various artists along the way such as Stellar Circuits and others. CREEPING DEATH To Release Wretched Illusions Album In September; "Bloodlust Contamination" Music Video StreamingTexas death metal unit, Creeping Death, will unleash their Wretched Illusions full-length debut worldwide via Entertainment One on September 27.
Summoned forth from the fertile metal grounds of the Lone Star State, the DIY-subculture bred miscreants of Creeping Death are staging their own sort of musical Alamo, entrenched with their fierce dedication to traditional death metal brutality and the fury of classic thrash.
The band's blistering new full-length platter, Wretched Illusions, raises the stakes with undeniable and unrelenting anthems like "Bloodlust Contamination," "World Decay," "Corroded From Within," and album opener "Ripping Through Flesh." Each of the record's ten tracks is a certified ripper, keeping those baseball bat swings coming, over and over.
Devotees of influential death metal merchants like Blood Red Throne (Norway), Gorguts (Canada), and Grave (Sweden) have a new American band to champion. Creeping Death draw liberally from the template set by those bands along with the speed of early Sepultura (Brazil) and the hammering epic crush of Bolt Thrower (England). All of these classic sounds are re-forged together and reflected through Creeping Death's own fresh and unique prism.
Wretched Illusions is the kind of jaw-dropping, rifftastic debut that could only come from road hardened chemistry, a collaborative and improvisation heavy rehearsal space, and the lessons of two well received EPs and a tape trading era nostalgic demo. 2016's Sacrament Of Death and the aforementioned Specter Of War were short bursts of aggressive pummelling that earned the band impressive festival slots and tours with Judiciary, Momentum, and Homewrecker.
Produced by close comrade Daniel Schmuck (Power Trip, Messengers, End Times) and mixed and mastered by burgeoning tastemaker Arthur Rizk (Ghostmane, Cavalera Conspiracy, Outer Heaven), Wretched Illusions is a confident missive of percussive bombast. It's beyond Creeping Death's already impressive early rumblings - it's fast, challenging, and decisive.
In advance of the record's release, Creeping Death unveil the official video for "Bloodlust Contamination" (watch below). Comments the band, "With this album, we really wanted to challenge ourselves and take our sound to the next level. Wretched Illusions is more in your face, more metal, but still 100% Creeping Death. The track 'Bloodlust Contamination' and the video accompanying it should give you a good sense of the intensity of the new LP. We're incredibly grateful and excited to make the most of all the opportunities presented to us as of late and we'll see you on the road."
Creeping Death's Wretched Illusions will be released on CD, digital, and vinyl formats. For pre-orders, head here.

VOLBEAT Releases Music Video For 'Cheapside Sloggers' Feat. SLAYER/EXODUS Guitarist GARY HOLTDanish/American hard rock group VOLBEAT has just released its new song "Cheapside Sloggers", featuring a guest guitar solo by Gary Holt of EXODUS and SLAYER. The track comes off VOLBEAT's forthcoming seventh album, "Rewind, Replay, Rebound", due on August 2 via Republic Records.
"I wanted to add something new and not typical, so why not bring in Gary Holt? He is a great guitar player, and the solo sounds great," says VOLBEAT singer and vocalist Michael Poulsen.
The "Cheapside Sloggers" video was directed by Shan Dan Horan of Shadow Born Group, who has previously created many lyric videos for the band, including "Parasite", "The Devil's Bleeding Crown", "For Evigt", "The Bliss", "Black Rose" and "Seal The Deal".
At this point in their already storied career, VOLBEAT has opened for METALLICA, MOTÖRHEAD and SLIPKNOT, garnered the 2014 "Best Metal Performance" Grammy nomination for "Room 24" and won multiple Danish Music Awards. For this album, they mine their own personal histories and that of their genre: the song "When We Were Kids" finds VOLBEAT ruminating on immortality and innocence we all naively experience in our youth, while "Rewind The Exit" and "Die To Live" both explore how the pursuit of perfection can be a hollow goal.
"Rewind, Replay, Rebound" was produced by longtime collaborator Jacob Hansen and co-produced by Rob Caggiano and Michael Poulsen. This marks the first studio album with Kaspar Boye Larsen on bass. To achieve the album's sound, the band also drew upon a myriad of guests. In addition to again working with backing vocalist Mia Maja on several tracks, they also reunited with the Harlem Gospel Choir. CLUTCH vocalist Neil Fallon is featured on "Die To Live", the result of touring together and a love for the singer's gruff and powerful style. Raynier Jacob Jacildo (piano) and Doug Corocran (saxophone) of JD McPherson's band also lend their talents to the song. "Cheapside Sloggers" features a ripping guitar solo by EXODUS and SLAYER guitarist Gary Holt. Ultimately, VOLBEAT have not lost their passion to create and progress. It's that which keeps them hungry — and musically honest on the new album.
VOLBEAT recently announced the first leg of the "Rewind, Replay, Rebound" world tour, with support from BARONESS and DANKO JONES.

Thal recently told the Detroit radio station 101 WRIF that the next SONS OF APOLLO album "will still sound like us. That's not something we can get away from," he said. "It will be similar, I'm sure, to the first record, but maybe just turning up the intensity knob. I'd like to — I'd like the heavier stuff to be heavier, the crazy stuff to be crazier and just really up the intensity... I can't wait. It's going to be good. I just really want to make sure we outdo the last record, and the record after this upcoming one outdoes this one, and we just keep raising the bar and demanding more of ourselves and meeting that higher setting that we keep pushing [for]. In anything, you just always want to become better. You want to keep bettering what you've done and keep growing and keep improving and keep developing. I'm excited to take that step and see what we come up with."
Asked how the group prepares before it enters the studio, Ron said: "[We] come in with ideas, but a lot of things happen spontaneously. Most of the [first] record happened spontaneously. Even then, when we have ideas, the last thing you want to do is over-build the idea on your own — you want to leave room for it to grow as a band and [allow] everybody to contribute, and make it something that's truly us, not something where somebody runs with it and ends up writing the whole song. That can happen — and on the first record, that happened a bit, which is fine — but [the goal is] trying not to over-write, so if I come up with an idea, if I come up with a riff, I try to just leave it at that riff and resist the urge to make the next part and the part after that and say, 'Hey, check out this whole song I wrote.' We all want it to be a band effort where we all contribute so that it does sound like all of us."
"Psychotic Symphony" was released in October 2017 via InsideOut Music. 2

Fan-filmed video of the concert can be seen below. Photos are available at Sun-Sentinel.com.
IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain recently said about the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour: "When you're there in the flesh and you see this incredible stage set and the production we put into this show, you're going to be absolutely astounded."
The concept for the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour was inspired by MAIDEN's mobile game and comic book of the same name. The stage set design features a number of different but interlocking "worlds" with a setlist covering a large selection of 1980s material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.
MAIDEN's current set includes a Spitfire buzzing the stage during the opening number, "Aces High". The plane is a 90-percent-sized replica of an actual Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb registration number AA 853 from 302 Squadron that saw active duty in 1941.
Support on the North American leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour comes from THE RAVEN AGE. Additionally, FOZZY will be guests for the Banc Of California Stadium show in Los Angeles.
MAIDEN's 2019 North, South and Central America trek comprises 44 shows in six countries, which, combined with the band's 2018 European dates, means that by the end of this tour, the group will have taken the "Legacy Of The Beast" show to over one and three quarter of a million fans around the globe.
The first leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour opened in Europe last year to outstanding critical acclaim, not just by the 750,000-plus fans who came to see the show but right across national press and rock media, including The Times (U.K.) newspaper calling it "an extraordinary show filled with world class theatrics… a masterclass in performance and staging."
Thank you Fort Lauderdale... What a way to kick off a tour!

Listen To New NORMA JEAN Song '[Mind Over Mind]'"[Mind Over Mind]", a brand new song from Atlanta, Georgia's NORMA JEAN, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's eighth studio album, "All Hail", which will be released on October 25 via Solid State Records. The disc was recorded earlier this year with producer Will Putney (EVERY TIME I DIE, BODY COUNT) at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in Belleville, New Jersey.
The follow-up to 2016's "Polar Similar" marks the final NORMA JEAN album to feature guitarist Jeff Hickey, who exited the band in May. At the time, NORMA JEAN said the decision to part ways with Hickey was due to his struggles with "alcohol addiction." The other members of the group added that they "need to be his brothers before his bandmates" and they "continue to support Jeff in every effort toward sobriety and his personal health."
Recorded at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, "Polar Similar" was released in September 2016 — just three days shy of the 10th anniversary of NORMA JEAN's 2006 epic "Redeemer".
NORMA JEAN is currently touring North America with FIT FOR A KING, CURRENTS, LEFT BEHIND and AFTERLIFE.

STITCHED UP HEART Releases Another New Song, 'Problems'"Problems", a brand new song from STITCHED UP HEART, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming sophomore album, "Darkness", which will be released in the spring of 2020 via RED Music. The 13-song follow-up to 2016's "Never Alone" was produced by produced by Matt Good of FROM FIRST TO LAST and D.R.U.G.S.
STITCHED UP HEART plans to release one new song each month until "Darkness" arrives next year. Singer Alecia "Mixi" Demner told Loudwire: "It's gonna be a little unique for the rock community, because it's not gonna be the way that albums are usually released. We're gonna try something kind of a little different to give people music consistently, like an every month you get a new song kind of thing."
Demner added: "I'm really excited about how it's gonna roll out. We're just trying something new, I think that with streaming and everything that's going on, this might actually help."
STITCHED UP HEART previously issued two singles this year, including "Lost", which features frontman Sully Erna from recent tourmates GODSMACK.
Demner added that the band's new LP is finished, mixed and mastered, saying that the group recorded some 70 songs for the project. She was not sure whether the unused tracks will appear on future releases or not.
Demner performed as a vocalist in various bands before starting STITCHED UP HEART in 2010. She told Spokesman.com that her influences are appropriately and wildly eclectic: PANTERA, GLASSJAW, DEFTONES, Louis Armstrong.
"I really like mixing those elements," Demner said, "the heavy, drop-tuned guitars with something that catches your attention and that you can remember."

RITCHIE BLACKMORE's RAINBOW: Pro-Shot Video Of 'Burn' Performance From Spain's ROCK THE COAST FestivalProfessionally filmed video footage of Ritchie Blackmore's RAINBOW performing the DEEP PURPLE classic "Burn" at the Rock The Coast festival in Málaga, Spain on June 15 can be seen below.
This past May, RAINBOW released a new digital single, "The Storm", via Minstrel Hall Music. The song is said to be "a rocked-up remake" of an old BLACKMORE'S NIGHT track from the album "Fires At Midnight", which was issued back in 2001.
In April, RAINBOW released a newly recorded version of its song "Black Sheep Of The Family".
The original recording of "Black Sheep Of The Family" — a cover of a track by the band QUATERMASS from 1970 — was included on RAINBOW's debut album, 1975's "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow".
The first new RAINBOW single since 1996, "Waiting For A Sign", was released in March 2018. The song was penned by Ritchie Blackmore, with lyrics by his wife Candice Night and vocals from RAINBOW's current singer, Ronnie Romero, who is originally from Chile but is now settled in Madrid.
The latest incarnation of RAINBOW released two new studio recordings in 2017, but they weren't original compositions; one was an instrumental song called "Land Of Hope And Glory", which was a reworking of the 1902 British patriotic song of the same name from Edward Elgar's "Pomp And Circumstance March No. 1", while the other was a re-recording of the RAINBOW classic "I Surrender", which was written by Russ Ballard and was first released by RAINBOW in 1981.
"Waiting For A Sign" is included on "Memories in Rock II", which was released in April 2018 via Minstrel Hall/Soulfood. The set also contains a double CD of the June 2017 U.K. RAINBOW concerts, a DVD containing over 80 minutes of interview footage with the band and crew, an additional backstage clip and a video for the 2017 studio version of "I Surrender".
Blackmore stepped away from his Renaissance-inspired brand of music with BLACKMORE'S NIGHT in 2016 to perform a handful of shows with a brand-new lineup of the band he had formed after quitting DEEP PURPLE.
Although Ritchie initially said that he had no plans to make a new RAINBOW album — explaining in early 2016 that he wanted to "just get back to playing the old songs one more time" — he revealed to Japan's Burrn! magazine that he changed his mind.
In addition to Blackmore and Romero, the current incarnation of RAINBOW includes STRATOVARIUS keyboardist Jens Johansson, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT drummer David Keith, bassist Bob Nouveau (a.k.a. Robert "Bob" Curiano, ex-BLACKMORE'S NIGHT), and backing singers Candice Night and Lady Lynn.
The two shows RAINBOW played in Germany in June 2016 were caught on camera to produce "Memories In Rock - Live In Germany", which was released in November 2016 via Eagle Rock Entertainment on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD, and digital formats.
After Ritchie left DEEP PURPLE for the final time in 1993, he reformed RAINBOW for one album (1995's "Stranger In Us All") and one tour, ending things in Denmark in 1997.

JASON CHARLES MILLER Debuts Music Video For "Get Thee Behind Me" Single Featuring KING'S X Frontman DUG PINNICKAward-winning singer-songwriter, musician and voice-over actor, Jason Charles Miller, has unveiled a new music video for his single ,"Get Thee Behind Me", which features guest performances by Dug Pinnick (King's X), 'Cowboy' Eddie Long and Duane Betts (son of founding Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts). The track is taken from Miller's recent album, In The Wasteland (Sony/Red Music), which combines elements of outlaw country, Americana and southern rock.
Filmed in the Southern California desert near the Salton Sea and directed by Andrew Fogel (The League of S.T.E.A.M.), the video alludes to the Christian story of the Temptation of Christ and contemplates the struggle of good versus evil. Watch below.
"Get thee behind me
'cause the devil won't show what he know you don't know"
"When writing the lyrics for this album, I was really inspired by the struggle of good versus evil," shares Miller. "Whether you're a Christian or not, most people are at least casually aware of the story of the Temptation of Christ, where Jesus wanders in the desert for 40 days and is tested and tempted by Satan. Taking more of a secular view of a very religious story, I decided to write the lyrics from Satan's point of view--how he kept getting more and more frustrated with Jesus and finally left. So of course I had to play Satan in the video, at least part of the time! The rest of the time I'm just myself, retracing the steps of what happened."
Miller elaborates: "To mix things up a bit, since visually the video looks very apocalyptic, we decided to add the four horsemen of the apocalypse: Conquest, War, Death and Famine, portrayed by four amazing women on motorcycles."
"Well he cast me down, to the underground
I'm gonna raise my throne, you're gonna hear my sound"

Watch SLIPKNOT's Music Video For New Song 'Solway Firth'SLIPKNOT has shared "Solway Firth", the second new song to be released off the band's widely anticipated sixth LP, "We Are Not Your Kind", which will arrive August 9 on Roadrunner Records.
"Solway Firth" is available now at all DSPs along with an official music video directed by the band's own M. Shawn Crahan. Created with Uproxx and Amazon Prime Video, the clip features exclusive footage from the new Amazon original "The Boys" (premiering July 26) alongside live performance footage from SLIPKNOT's recent headline festival run in Europe.
"We Are Not Your Kind" was once again recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed SLIPKNOT's 2004 album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" and helmed 2014's ".5: The Gray Chapter".
Guitarist Jim Root stated about "We Are Not Your Kind": "This is most time we've had to write a record, and work stuff out together. One of my inspirations this time around was those artists that recorded full length albums — not just songs. While the industry is moving toward singles, SLIPKNOT wanted to make an album experience, front to back."
"These days the art we are making comes with the highest reward, because it's taken the most time," added percussionist M. Shawn Crahan. "Almost four years to create this emotion and temperature, and the reward now is nothing short of salvation."
"We Are Not Your Kind" track listing:
01. Insert Coin
02. Unsainted
03. Birth Of The Cruel
04. Death Because Of Death
05. Nero Forte
06. Critical Darling
07. Liar's Funeral
08. Red Flag
09. What's Next
10. Spiders
11. Orphan
12. My Pain
13. Not Long For This World
14. Solway Firth
SLIPKNOT's sixth album does not include the song "All Out Life", which was released last October.
Singer Corey Taylor recently said that "All Out Life" is not representative of the type of music fans can expect to hear on SLIPKNOT's long-awaited new LP. "It's a great tune, it's a heavy tune, but it's not a good representation of the darkness that is involved with the music," he told 95.5 KLOS's Full Metal Jackie. "We are taking some really cool risks musically. We're dipping into some evil we haven't played with in a long time, let's put it that way. It's got little hints of everything we've ever done, but it's got some of the heaviest stuff we've ever done as well."
Asked what it was like for him to go back to some of those darker lyrical themes, Taylor said: "It's been very cathartic. I've got a lot I've gotta say and a lot I wanna say, and this feels like the right time to do it."
Some of SLIPKNOT's new album also deals with Taylor's depression that led to a divorce and forced him to "figure out who I was" without relapsing into substance abuse.
"All I was doing was giving and I found myself absolutely, completely tapped," he told the Des Moines Register. "You could see it in my skin. You could see it in my eyes. That's basically the journey I'm going to take people on this album … show them what happens to depression when you have no chemicals to fall back on."
SLIPKNOT's "Knotfest Roadshow" North American headline tour will launch later this month. VOLBEAT, GOJIRA and BEHEMOTH will join as special guests on all dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 29-city outing will kick off July 26 in Mountain View, California at Shoreline Amphitheater and continue through September 8 where it will conclude with a performance at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas. 16

HAMMERFALL Releases Music Video For New Song 'One Against The World'The official music video for "One Against The World", the new single from Swedish metallers HAMMERFALL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album titled "Dominion", which will be released on August 16 via Napalm Records. The clip was filmed and edited by Oliver Route.
For "Dominion", HAMMERFALL re-teamed with James Michael to do vocals at Red Level Three studios, and Fredrik Nordström of Studio Fredman at Castle Black Studios for the instruments on the powerful 12-song collection.
Guitarist Oscar Dronjak told Loud TV about "Dominion": "It's one of those things where you have time finally to perfect everything. We didn't really feel that for [2016's] 'Built To Last'. It was stressed, the songwriting part of it. This time, we really felt ready when we started recording, which I don't think has ever happened. All the songs were where they should be. We had time to go back and let them mature. That made it easier to record. We are in a place right now as a band where we feel it's fun. It's happy, fun, because everything sounds good when we play live."
He continued: "I don't think HAMMERFALL has ever sounded better live than we do right now. That feeling, that rush translated into the recording. I think that's what you can hear on it. The songs sound the way they do, they sound, I think they sound perfected, in a way that I don't think the other albums may have done. It's an energy that we didn't have before. We always try to recreate the energy, but it's difficult to actually do it."
He added: "One of the things that helped with that this time was the drumming of David [Wallin]. Because for 'Built To Last', he played more or less the demo drums that I laid out for him and didn't put his own stamp on it so much. But this time, his personality really shone through. I have to say for the first time I understood how great of a drummer he is. The drumming that makes David David is really good. It's a perfect fit for HAMMERFALL that way, too. He put a lot of his own personality into the fills and the songs this time as well, which is another benefit of being able to have the songs done already early and to be able to go and rehearse and record them as a rehearsal demo, basically, and to listen to them to see what we can do better and change to make the songs better."
The "Dominion" artwork was created by renowned visual artist Samwise Didier.
"Dominion" track listing:
01. Never Forgive, Never Forget
02. Dominion
03. Testify
04. One Against The World
05. (We Make) Sweden Rock
06. Second To One
07. Scars Of A Generation
08. Dead By Dawn

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Releases Music Video For 'Piece Of Me'Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE have released the official music video for their new single, "Piece Of Me". The clip features footage from the band's recent tour, which included shows at London's Alexandra Palace and at the Slam Dunk festival.
"Piece Of Me" is taken from BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's latest album, "Gravity", which came out in June 2018. The effort was made available through BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's new label home, Search And Destroy, the imprint launched in 2014 by Spinefarm and international artist management company Raw Power Management.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck told Metal Hammer about "Piece Of Me": "It's definitely one of the angriest songs on the record. It's a song about feeling like you're being taken advantage of. You give and give and give, and people take take take, and this song is like, 'Fuck that. No more, not gonna happen.' In general, people taking advantage of someone's good nature, and it's just about giving time, effort, love, affection — whatever you want to say really — and feeling like you don't get anything back and they're taking another piece of you. It's hard to explain."
This past May, Tuck confirmed to Rock Sound that BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE has begun work on material for the follow-up to "Gravity". "We've already got eight new tracks, so we've been busy behind the scenes when we've not been touring the last few months," he said. "And it feels really good."
As for the musical direction of the new BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE songs, Tuck said: "It wasn't our gameplan at the time, but when we were making ['Gravity'], the process behind it was, if we do do a record like this, the next one' — forward thinking — it opens the door to just do whatever the hell we want again. And instantly, it has.
"All indicators are pointing towards ferocious heaviness," he continued. "So, I don't know… Maybe it was just something we needed to get out of our system to come back to the more traditional way of writing a BULLET record. It's weird how these things work out. But all signs initially are pointing to a far more aggressive, gnarly, riff-based record."
Asked when fans should expect to see some new music from BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, Tuck said: "We're probably gonna aim for a '21 release. We wanna take our time on this. We wanna work with people that we really wanna work with, and we may have to wait, depending on their schedules — et cetera, et cetera — so we think '21 is a safe bet, to give us the time to do what we want, how we wanna do it, and not be rushed or forced into anything."
Last summer, Tuck defended BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's decision to add more electronic elements to its distinct signature sound on "Gravity", telling Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show: "Well, this is album number six. We've been around a long time now; we've had five previous records. And we've kind of stuck to a certain way of writing, a certain sound and formula for many years now, and we just felt that the time was right to add different colors, sounds and elements and diversity to our sound and our songwriting abilities. It was just something that we've never really done in the past; we've dabbled on it slightly on a couple songs on 'Venom'. So we knew that, if done right, it's a very powerful way of enhancing the feel of a song, just like movie soundtrack stuff." 3

STEVE HARRIS Won't Lose Sleep If IRON MAIDEN Doesn't Get Inducted Into ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAMEIRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris says that he doesn't care that his band has yet to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame despite the fact that it has been eligible since 2004.
"I don't mind that we're not in things like that," he told Rolling Stone in a new interview. "I don't think about things like that. It's very nice if people give you awards or accolades, but we didn't get into the business for that sort of thing. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep if we don't get any sort of award, not just that one, any award. I don't think we deserve to have this or that necessarily. With what we do, whatever comes of it is great. Whatever doesn't come of it is great, too."
Even though artists are eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single, iconic hard rock and metal groups like MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and MOTÖRHEAD have yet to be recognized by the institution, which inducted GUNS N' ROSES in that band's first year of eligibility.
MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson made headlines last fall when he referred to the Rock Hall as "an utter and complete load of bollocks" during a spoken-word gig in Australia, insisting that the Cleveland-based institution is "run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn't know rock and roll if it hit them in the face."
Bruce later told The Jerusalem Post that he was "so annoyed with that coverage because they took my statement out of context to make it seem like I was upset that we weren't in the Hall Of Fame.
"I'm really happy we're not there and I would never want to be there," he continued. "If we're ever inducted, I will refuse — they won't bloody be having my corpse in there.
"Rock and roll music does not belong in a mausoleum in Cleveland," Bruce added. "It's a living, breathing thing, and if you put it in a museum, then it's dead. It's worse than horrible, it's vulgar."
Harris previously told "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon" that he wasn't concerned about whether IRON MAIDEN will eventually be inducted into the Rock Hall. "I don't really think about it, to be honest. I think awards are things that are nice to have when you get them, but it's not something you're really striving for — it's not what it's about it," he said. "It's never been about that. It's aways been about just trying to make good music and go out and play good live shows, and that's it, really. Hopefully people will appreciate it. It's probably nice when people give you awards — don't get me wrong; I think it's great — but it's not something that you would lose sleep over if you didn't get any.
"It's the way that I am," Harris added. "I don't know. Maybe the rest of the guys [in the band] might think differently to me, but that's the way I think. It's not that I don't care about [awards]. It's just… And it's not that they're not meaningful when you do get 'em — it's nice. But I certainly don't worry about it or anything like that. I think other people are the ones that make a bigger deal out of it than us, about whether we got one or not."
Having been eligible for induction for a decade and a half, IRON MAIDEN is one of the biggest bands on the planet. Since the release of their self-titled debut album, the British heavy metal legends have released a further 15 full-length studio records, and sold over 100 million copies.
Rock Hall rules state that artists become eligible a quarter century after their first records were released, but the Hall also claims that other "criteria include the influence and significance of the artists' contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock 'n' roll," which is, of course, open to interpretation.
Eligible for induction since 1999, KISS didn't get its first nomination until 2009, and was finally inducted in 2014.
DEEP PURPLE was eligible for the Rock Hall since 1993 but didn't get inducted until 2016. 11

ROSS THE BOSS Talks Upcoming Bloodstock Open Air Show With Guitarist K.K. DOWNING - "We Will Play Three Or Four JUDAS PRIEST Songs"Former Manowar guitarist Ross The Boss recently announced that former Judas Priest guitarist, K.K. Downing, will be joining him for several songs at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival, talking place August 11th at Catton Park in Derbyshire, UK. He recently spoke with Jimmy Kay from Canada's The Metal Voice about the team-up. Ross also offered his thoughts on Manowar's recent Hellfest cancellation, and talked about working on a new album.
On Downing being invited to perform with Ross The Boss:
"It's my ulterior motive to bring K.K. Downing out and get him playing again and maybe back to where he belongs in Judas Priest. I don't know anything about what happened with him and Judas Priest; it's none of my business. It's sad that shit happens like that, especially when things are so good. I love all the Judas Priest members. I love Richie, I love Andy, I love Scott, Rob, I love the band. I love their music and I wish them all the best."
On how many songs they will be performing with Downing at Bloodstock:
"We don't have a ton of time. We've got an hour plus, so we will play three or four Judas Priest songs with K.K. We just want K.K. to come out and get some love from the audience. He deserves it. He's a father of heavy metal. I know he's a bit nervous but that's to be expected. We will do everything for him to make him feel as comfortable as possible and let him play his guitar, let him do what he does. At the end of the day I hope that this gives them the motivation to get him back into Judas Priest. Glen is not there now and I think that K.K. belongs there now, if they could mend the fences. We're not spring chickens anymore, life is too short at this point and I think that before someone goes or something tragic happens. I would love to see K.K. back in Judas Priest. I would love to put some good vibes out there to him and so maybe there would be a chance that something could happen and I think the fans would love it."
Downing recently issued the following statement regarding the upcoming show:
“I’m really delighted and really looking forward to sharing the stage with Ross The Boss and saying hello to all our fans together. For me, as you know, it’s been far too long, so I sincerely hope to see as many familiar faces as possible at this truly unique event. True metal for true metal fans at the UK’s truest metal festival. United we stand!”
Ross The Boss previously stated: "We the Ross The Boss band are SO FUCKING EXCITED and honored to have K.K. Downing, an immortal metal legend, joining us onstage in front of some of the greatest metal fans in the world at Bloodstock UK."

SABATON: Lyric Video For New Song '82nd All The Way'Swedish heavy metal heroes SABATON have released the official lyric video for the song "82nd All The Way". The track is taken from the band's ninth full-length album, "The Great War", which came out on July 19 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band's 20th-anniversary record is a concept effort covering stories from the First World War.
"The Great War" track listing:
01. The Future Of Warfare
02. Seven Pillars Of Wisdom
03. 82nd All The Way
04. The Attack Of The Dead Men
05. Devil Dogs
06. The Red Baron
07. Great War
08. A Ghost In The Trenches
09. Fields Of Verdun
10. The End Of The War To End All Wars
11. In Flanders Fields
SABATON started recording "The Great War" exactly 100 years after the end of the First World War (November 11, 1918) and took three months of intensive work to complete the album with longtime producer and collaborator Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge studios. The disc was mastered by Maor Appelbaum and the artwork was once again created by Peter Sallaí.
"This is not the first time we sing about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war," the band said.
Side by side with the album, the Swedes have worked hard to make their 20th year anniversary a very exciting year, and also started the SABATON History Channel — a unique collaboration between the band and multimedia historians Indy Neidell and Timeghost, capturing the power of social media to tell stories about the wars, battles and heroes behind SABATON's songs.
"This is the biggest album we have taken on so far. There is so much depth and story around the songs that we never had before," Sundström stated. "Expect many surprises as we have tried new things and we also went back in time to a concept we know a lot of you love. 'The Great War' has been created side by side with the SABATON History Channel to make 2019 the most exciting year in our 20-year history.”
SABATON's new disc is the group's first with guitarist Tommy Johansson (GOLDEN RESURRECTION, REINXEED), who replaced Thobbe Englund in 2016. 4

Watch DAVID ELLEFSON Perform MEGADETH Classics In Waterbury During 'Basstory - More Life With Deth' TourVideo footage of MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson's July 11 "Basstory - More Life With Deth" performance at Shamrock Pub and Grill in Waterbury, Connecticut can be seen below.
The "Basstory - More Life With Deth" shows feature a question-and-answer session/discussion with co-author and partner Thom Hazaert about Ellefson's memoir, "More Life With Deth", and a full live-band set including songs from the companion album "Sleeping Giants".
Performing with Ellefson is Hazaert, who handles vocals on the newly recorded tracks from "Sleeping Giants", along with "Basstory" vets, DEAD BY WEDNESDAY guitarist Dave Sharpe and drummer Opus Lawrence, and HATCHET guitarist Clayton Cagle.
Prior to the tour's launch, Ellefson said: "When we got the unfortunate news that the Ozzy [Osbourne] tour was postponed, we thought we'd make the best of the downtime and take one more lap around the track to get up close and personal with the fans, and go talk about the book, and play some of these 'Sleeping Giants' songs live.
"'Basstory' started out more in the vein of a 'clinic' and has evolved into a full-on live band show, and now with some new material to play, and revisiting some of my past material from other projects on 'Sleeping Giants', I think it's going to be that much more exciting. That's the great thing about 'Basstory' — it's always a different show. And it's always fun to get back into the clubs and get intimate with the fans in a way that's not possible in a giant arena, and that's really what 'Basstory' is all about.”
Featuring cover art by Melody Myers (ALTITUDES AND ATTITUDE, MARC RIZZO, ESCAPE THE FATE), "Sleeping Giants" is a retrospective featuring several new tracks recorded by Ellefson and Hazaert, plus a collection of demos and unreleased material, from F5 and David's other projects, including the unreleased demo "If You Were God", featuring John Bush (ANTHRAX, ARMORED SAINT), plus several unreleased demos featuring HOUSE OF LORDS/GIUFFRIA vocalist David Glen Eisley. The CD version also includes a second bonus disc, featuring a compilation of EMP and Combat artists. 2

During their set, they were joined by Satyricon frontman Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven for Pantera's "I'm Broken". Check out the video below.
On Saturday, November 2, 2019, Slayer - Tom Araya/bass and vocals, Kerry King/guitars, Gary Holt/guitars, and Paul Bostaph/drums - will set off on The Final Campaign, the seventh and final leg of its farewell world tour. This last hurrah will start at the ExploreAsheville Arena in Asheville, NC, and see the band taking its goodbye bow at the Los Angeles Forum on Saturday, November 30. A video trailer can be found below.
Accompanying Slayer for this last ride are Primus, Ministry and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals performing a vulgar display of Pantera, who will support on all dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 12 at 10 AM, local; limited VIP packages will be available. Log on to slayer.net for all ticketing and package details.
Slayer's Final World Tour began on May 10, 2018 with the band's intention to play as many places as possible, to make it easy for the fans to see one last Slayer show and say goodbye. By the time the 18-month trek wraps on November 30, the band will have completed seven tour legs plus a series of one-off major summer festivals, performing more than 140 shows in 30-countries and 40 US states.
Slayer's Final World Tour has been a wild ride. Three bus drivers, four truck drivers, and a crew of 32 have traveled all over the world to set the stage for this farewell. At most shows, Slayer's pyro expert set off 160 pounds of propane and 10 litres of 99% isopropyl alcohol, prompting the Phoenix New Times reviewer to comment on the "eyebrow-singeing pyrotechnics that could be felt even 10 rows behind the pit." In Toronto, one diehard fan was ejected from the concert before Slayer took the stage, so jumped into Lake Ontario (that surrounds the Budweiser Arena) and swam back to the venue. The Tampa Bay Times' Jay Cridlin wrote, "Beginning with the throttling opener 'Repentless,' Slayer tore through their set like a flaming cigarette boat across the river Styx, charring up a vicious circle pit by the stage," and Detroit's Gary Graff noted in his Oakland Press review the "10,000 headbangers who skipped the 'Game of Thrones' finale to pay homage to the pioneering quartet." "The sheer physicality of their show was something to behold and was yet another indication that while the band may be calling it a career, they are going out on top, playing at their absolute best," wrote Andy Lindquist for the SF Sonic, and Guy D'Astolfo with the Youngtown Vindicator ended his review with this: "After the final note, Tom Araya stood alone, scanning the crowd... forging a mental imprint of the moment. After a minute or two, he went to the microphone and said, 'I'm going to miss you guys.' Then he exited and the lights went up."

CRADLE OF FILTH Keyboardist / Vocalist LINDSAY SCHOOLCRAFT Releases Official Lyric Video For New Solo Song "Lullaby"Cradle Of Filth keyboardist and vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft is preparing to release her debut solo album, Martyr, on October 7th. The album was co-written by former Evanescence drummer Rocky Gray and offers eleven tracks of entrancing gothic rock, influenced by Schoolcraft's background in classical music. Fans of Evanescence, Nightwish, and the like will appreciate Martyr's lush, piano-driven arrangements, while Cradle of Filth enthusiasts will enjoy hearing this darkly romantic side of Schoolcraft's music.
Lindsay commented: "At last I can finally share with the world what I’ve been so vaguely teasing online for years. I can’t thank my fans enough for being so patient about this release. Working with Rocky Gray has been a dream come true for me and the love I have for his work and my lyrical stories really shines through on this album. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did creating and recording it."
Lindsay has released a lyric video for the song "Lullaby". Check it out below.

Lindsay recently shut down the internet trolls that have started to spread rumours she is leaving the band following a post in which she stated: "The last 4 months with Cradle of Filth have been very rewarding. We’ve been across 4 continents and have brought our music and art to so many people. I feel grateful to say I can do this for a living and that I have a great circle and support group around me who keep me inspired and sane. Unfortunately I am not a robot nor machine and my body, mind, and spirit are running on little to no steam at the moment. I plan to go home and hide for awhile and when my energy comes back I will continue to create and push forward my solo album launch. Thank you all who were part of our world tour the past few months. Thank you to anyone who was kind and loving towards me when I was down or weak. Thank you all who are still here and for your love and patience."
Some small-minded people clearly read too much into her post, and Lindsay has issued the following answer to those individuals:
