MOLLY HATCHET Relesases New Digital Single 'Whiskey Man'

MOLLY HATCHET Relesases New Digital Single 'Whiskey Man'

Southern rock legends MOLLY HATCHET have released a new digital single and music video for the song "Whiskey Man". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming live album, "Battleground", which will be released on November 29 through SPV/Steamhammer as 2CD digipak, 3LP gatefold version, download and stream.

It's no secret that a lot of fans measure the artistic value of a rock band mainly by the quality of a group's live performance. THE ALLMAN BROTHERS without their legendary concerts? Unthinkable! LYNYRD SKYNYRD as just another anemic studio project? Impossible to imagine! The same goes for MOLLY HATCHET as another legendary force among these protagonists of the longstanding history of Southern rock that, alongside lots of outstanding studio recordings, the band's full potential comes into effect live on stage. Again and again, the musicians surrounding guitarist Bobby Ingram have reinforced their reputation as an awesome live act in brilliant live "battles," so it comes as no surprise that requests by their international fan base for a new live recording have been growing increasingly insistent for a number of years.

"Battleground" was recorded in Pratteln, Switzerland, in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and during MOLLY HATCHET's 40th-anniversary tour of the United States and features amazing cover artwork created by Paul Raymond Gregory (SAXON, BLIND GUARDIAN, URIAH HEEP, among others).

Ingram looks back with legitimate pride and unmistakable modesty not only at the new live album but also at the band's career to date.

"MOLLY HATCHET has now been in the mainstream of Southern rock for over forty years and still counting," he says. "That in and of itself is an honor for every band member who experienced the journey along the way." It's this honor that listeners sense in every note on "Battleground".

The upcoming shows will see Ingram & Co. not only present their greatest hits, they will also introduce their new vocalist Jimmy Elkins, who has joined the fold to replace the late Phil McCormack, who sadly passed away in April 2019. Elkins was the frontman of Florida band BOUNTY HUNTER for a number of years, an act who has shared a stage with MOLLY HATCHET on various occasions over the past two decades.

"To us it was the logical next step to ask Jimmy to become our new vocalist," Ingram explains. "You can tell that he has the Southern rock gene and is a perfect match for MOLLY HATCHET, not only on a musical but also on a personal level."

MOTÖRHEAD's PHIL CAMPBELL Teams Up With JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD On 'Straight Up' Song

MOTÖRHEAD's PHIL CAMPBELL Teams Up With JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD On 'Straight Up' Song

Longtime MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell has released his first-ever solo record, "Old Lions Still Roar", via Nuclear Blast. To celebrate, he has unveiled a brand new track, "Straight Up", featuring the unmistakable vocal talents of JUDAS PRIEST's Rob Halford. Watch the video below.

Phil comments: "'The Metal God' Rob Halford has always been an artist I admire. His distinctive vocals and stage presence have rocked millions of fans all over the world, so I count myself blessed to have written a rockin' song together with him!"

"Old Lions Still Roar", which has been in the works for more than five years, includes additional guest appearances by Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER) and Alice Cooper, among others. Other guest musicians that appear on "Old Lions Still Roar" include Chris Fehn (SLIPKNOT), Benji Webbe (SKINDRED), Whitfield Crane (UGLY KID JOE) and Joe Satriani.

"Old Lions Still Roar" track listing:

01. Rocking Chair (feat. Leon Stanford)

02. Straight Up (feat. Rob Halford)

03. Faith In Fire (feat. Ben Ward)

04. Swing It (feat. Alice Cooper)

05. Left For Dead (feat. Nev MacDonald)

06. Walk The Talk (feat. Danko Jones, Nick Oliveri)

07. These Old Boots (feat. Dee Snider)

08. Dancing Dogs (Love Survives) (feat. Whitfield Crane)

09. Dead Roses (feat. Benji Webbe)

10. Tears From A Glass Eye (feat. Joe Satriani)

Campbell recently told Andrew McKaysmith of the "Scars And Guitars" podcast about "Old Lions Still Roar": "I wouldn't say [it was] 20 years in the making, but 20 years I've been yearning to do a solo album. Since MOTÖRHEAD, sadly, finished, I've had more time to think about [it] and to knuckle down and everything. I probably started the first recording of it about two and a half, three years ago. I wanted to make an album where I branched out a little bit. I've had some of the ideas — one or two of them — for, like, 10 or 12 years, and some not so long. Some are brand new. I just didn't want to do an album sounding like MOTÖRHEAD. I've done 20-odd albums like that."

Speaking about the album's guest stars, Phil said: "I couldn't believe the incredible players that spent some time on the record for me. I'm the luckiest guy in the world in that respect. Mega talent all the way through it, helping me out when I needed help. I've got no complaints whatsoever... Everyone did a fantastic job. I think I did really well on putting people [and] having ideas of who would be great for a certain song... All these people that I tried to put in certain songs and I had ideas for out of the blue would sound good, they all did amazingly well, because they went for the good of the song. So many players these days just play for themselves, and it's got fuck-all to do with the song. They just want to show off, but these people did amazingly well. I'm really pleased in that way... There's a great art in actually playing for the good of the song... You can ruin the song if the bassist hasn't got his shit together. A good song can be ruined. That's the foundation for the track, and it gives it a groove. If that's all gone to pot, a bloody good song can be passed by."

Video Premiere: BAD WOLVES' 'Killing Me Slowly'

Video Premiere: BAD WOLVES' 'Killing Me Slowly'

BAD WOLVES have released the official Nick Peterson-directed music video for the song "Killing Me Slowly". The track is taken from the band's sophomore album, "N.A.T.I.O.N.", which is being released today (Friday, October 25) via Eleven Seven Music.

BAD WOLVES have proven to be the unprecedented global breakthrough rock act of 2018 and aim to continue that momentum with "N.A.T.I.O.N." The stunning 12-track follow-up to their debut album, "Disobey", is a bit of a departure — staying in the same realm musically, but breaking beyond. As vocalist Tommy Vext explains: "We've honed it in and really delivered a more focused version of BAD WOLVES' sound. Basically, it's like pouring steroids on everything we love about the first record to create an album that's a roller coaster of emotional experience."

Founding member and drummer John Boecklin adds: "'N.A.T.I.O.N.' is definitely a big step in the right direction. We're still evolving. It's only our second record and I'm very excited about it."

BAD WOLVES will support FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH on their headlining arena tour, beginning Friday, November 1, in Las Vegas, through its 28 dates, culminating on Wednesday, December 18, in Omaha, Nebraska.

"Disobey" came out in May 2018 and included BAD WOLVES' rendition of the 1993 CRANBERRIES classic "Zombie".

Guitarist Doc Coyle spoke to Australia's Loud about the musical direction of the band's second album. He explained: "It's diverse. There's stuff that's probably heavier, as or more heavy than the last record... And then there's some really catchy, kind of more mainstream stuff to cover that end of it, and a lot of stuff in the middle."

BAD WOLVES was formed in 2017, comprised of former members of DEVILDRIVER, GOD FORBID, DIVINE HERESY and IN THIS MOMENT.

LACUNA COIL Releases AMAZON ORIGINAL Song 'Bad Things'

LACUNA COIL Releases AMAZON ORIGINAL Song 'Bad Things'

Italian alt metal superstars LACUNA COIL have released an Amazon Original song titled "Bad Things". The track is only available to stream and purchase on Amazon Music.

"The spookiest time of the year is approaching, the magic night when pumpkins glow by moonlight!" says Andrea Ferro of LACUNA COIL. "Halloween is known as the end of summer and the start of winter, a season associated with darkness and frigid weather. We have decided to celebrate the fact that we will be the first Italian artists to create an Amazon Original track with an appropriately themed song called 'Bad Things'. The song has a unique horror vibe perfect for the last day of October, when the boundary between the living and the dead becomes blurred."

Earlier this month, LACUNA COIL released its ninth studio album, "Black Anima". Just as "Comalies" (2002), "Shallow Life" (2009) and "Delirium" (2016) upped the ante and rocketed the Milan-based outfit into the upper echelons of metaldom, "Black Anima" is a level beyond all that. It's both a hard look at the past and a brave sprint into the future. Two years in the making, "Black Anima" arrives the same year that LACUNA COIL celebrates its 20th anniversary as a band.

Amazon Music listeners can find "Bad Things" on the playlist "Metal Scene", a collection of loud, supercharged metal music to stir up some mayhem in your world. Customers can also simply ask, "Alexa, play the Amazon Original by LACUNA COIL" in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled devices. In addition to the new track, Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Originals featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD Returns With New Single 'Already Dead'

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD Returns With New Single 'Already Dead'

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD has returned with a fiery new single, "Already Dead". The song marks the band's first music released since 2018's "Psalms" EP, which has racked up over 50 million streams worldwide. "Already Dead" is also the first effort from HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD's forthcoming sixth full-length album, due next year via Dove & Grenade Media/BMG. More details will be announced soon.

"It's an explosive rock anthem," says vocalist Danny Murillo recounting the new track, and affirming the group's ability to create arena-sized hits that blend a variety of genres into the recognizable HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD sound. He continues, "Humans can find pleasure in trying to hurt you. When you take away that satisfaction and become immune to it, it's empowering."

Since the release of HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD's RIAA-platinum-certified 2008 debut album, "Swan Songs", their distinctive and infectious music has incited a cult audience of millions of fans, resulting in sold out shows across the globe and huge festival appearances at Reading and Leeds, Rock Am Ring, Rock On The Range, and more. The band has shared the stage with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, KORN, STONE SOUR and CYPRESS HILL, in addition to receiving nods in the press from the likes of Consequence Of Sound, Billboard, Alternative Press, Rolling Stone and Revolver. The quintet has also garnered massive mainstream appeal, with its 2011 sophomore record, "American Tragedy", going gold and hitting No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Their 2013 full-length, "Notes From The Underground", seized the #2 spot, and in 2018, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD crossed one billion total global streams across its catalog.

Listen To New PRONG Song 'End Of Sanity'

Listen To New PRONG Song 'End Of Sanity'

American power trio PRONG has released a new digital single for the song "End Of Sanity". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming EP, "Age Of Defiance", which will be released on November 29 via SPV/Steamhammer.

PRONG leader Tommy Victor says: "'End Of Sanity' is a thrash/hardcore/crossover number in typical PRONG style which I wrote especially for our American tour with AGNOSTIC FRONT. If you're into PRONG, you'll love this track."

"Age Of Defiance", which was produced by Chris Collier, will include two new studio songs, the title cut and "End Of Sanity", along with live recordings of three tracks: "Rude Awakening", "Cut-Rate" and "Another Worldly Device".

The EP opens with the title song, "Age Of Defiance", which Victor describes as "pretty unusual for PRONG. It's extremely powerful, with a great groove, haunting chorus, everything's fresh and contemporary." "Age Of Defiance" also features three live cuts, recorded by Victor & co. during their major headlining tour at Berlin club Huxleys Neue Welt in April 2015: "Rude Awakening" from the same-named 1996 opus, plus "Another Worldly Device" and "Cut-Rate" from the 1994 major label album release "Cleansing". A total of five songs which forge an arc between past, present and future.

Track listing:

01. Age Of Defiance

02. End Of Sanity

03. Rude Awakening (live)

04. Another Worldly Device (live)

05. Cut-Rate (live)

Victor discussed the upcoming EP in an interview with France's Loud TV. Regarding his decision to only release two new songs this time, he said: "Look, in 2013, we put out 'Carved Into Stone', in 2014 'Runing Lives', in 2015 we put out 'Songs From The Black Hole' and we did 'No Absolutes'. Then I did 'Zero Days' in 2017. And then after that, we had some live stuff we did, and then after that, I went in and I wrote a whole shitload of songs. And I was, like, 'I don't wanna put all of these out.' We put out so many records."

He continued: "I don't wanna sound negative too much, but for the most part, no one gave a fuck. You make all these records, these new records, and essentially people wanna hear 'Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck'. And I liked doing those records, but I got burnt out of these long albums. So I wrote a bunch of songs, but I'm just gonna pick two out of that and put those out. Why put out a whole another album full of material and people don't even listen to the shit — they don't listen to the whole record. So this thing may do really well. It's, like, 'Two PRONG songs. Cool. I don't wanna listen to any more than that anyhow.' And then we have a live 'Rude Awakening', 'Cut-Rate' and 'Another Worldly Device' on it. So we'll see how it works out. But it's been fun so far for me, because I haven't been overworked with it.

"Making 'Zero Days' was — that was a major project, that album," he added. "There wasn't a lot of time to make it, and it was a lot of work. I was working seven days a week, sleeping four hours, trying to come up with lyrics. I think the lyrics are great on the record, because I was figuring out what the hell was going on with the song and trying to do the lyrics and making everything so perfect. And I get a little disillusioned because nobody cares. Of all the lyrics I wrote, maybe a couple of people were, like, 'What was the topic of that? What were you saying with that? That's an interesting lyric.' I've had very few conversations about it. And it wasn't released right — the record label didn't do a great job with it — so I was very disappointed with the whole outcome of that. So now it's two songs, [three] live [tracks], and then a full-length album later."

Asked about the lyrical themes of the two new songs that will be included on the "Age Of Defiance" EP, Tommy said: "'Age Of Defiance' is [about how] people feel like they've gotta be rebels, and that's nothing new to that. You have to find a way to find your own peace and to be calm and not violent. It's really an anti-violence song. People say, 'Oh, 'Age Of Defiance', it sounds like it's a rebel, a revolution song,' but it's just the opposite — it's sort of, like, 'I don't even care. I wanna be happy myself.' And 'The End Of Sanity' is the other one. It's kind of self-explanatory. I just feel like the world is going crazy. The shit that people say and the whole thing doesn't make any sense anymore to me.

"I watch the news and everything," he explained. "You have better news in Europe. But you don't get a big, broad picture of America neither. You get CNN, and that's one view of everything. But in America, there's one view and then there's another view and the other thing, and they're all just advertisements for each side. It's bullshit. It's not news. So you don't really get any news anymore. They're TV shows."

New CARCASS Song, 'Under The Scalpel Blade', Coming Next Month

New CARCASS Song, 'Under The Scalpel Blade', Coming Next Month

British extreme metal pioneers CARCASS will release a new song, "Under The Scalpel Blade", to deluxe Decibel subscribers. To get the track, you will need an active deluxe Decibel subscription by Monday, November 4 at 12 p.m. EST.

"Under The Scalpel Blade" is taken from CARCASS's upcoming seventh studio album, which is due out in 2020 on Nuclear Blast. The disc will be the follow-up to CARCASS's acclaimed comeback album, "Surgical Steel", which arrived in 2013.

CARCASS will perform "Under The Scalpel Blade" live when it headlines the closing night of this year's Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles at the Observatory. Tickets for the fest on December 13-14 — also featuring performances from POSSESSED, NAILS, VIO-LENCE, GATECREEPER, SCHAMMASCH, EVOKEN, INTRONAUT, XIBALBA, SPIRIT ADRIFT and more — are still available.

CARCASS guitarist Bill Steer told the WSOU radio station back in April 2018 that he and his bandmates demoed "close to 50 minutes' worth" of new music in late 2017. He added: "We're not gonna stop; we're gonna keep on writing so that we've got quite a lot of material and we can pick the best stuff for the album."

Steer also talked about the departure of second guitarist Ben Ash and addition of Tom Draper (POUNDER, ex-ANGEL WITCH, PRIMITAI). He said: "Well, I guess going back to what I was saying about five years of touring off one album, I think it's taken a toll on every one of us in one way or another. Ben was brought into the band as a live guitar player. We'd finished the album, we were booking shows and we needed to get out there with a second guitar player. This feels like an eternity ago, but we did have a Swedish friend of Jeff's [Walker, bass/vocals] who was in the frame, and then very near… it was quite near the knuckle for us, he kind of pulled out and said, 'Look, I can't do this for various reasons.' So then this frantic search began, and Ben came into the picture. And then we were off. And a lot of touring and a lot of travel [followed]. But, yeah, I gather he's quite keen to get back to some of the stuff he was doing beforehand, which is a lot of teaching, pretty much. And [Tom], our [new] second guitarist, he's a guy I've known for years. He would have been in the frame immediately [after 'Surgical Steel' was recorded], but as time would have it, it didn't work out, 'cause he'd moved with his wife to the U.S.A. It's early days, but [Tom's] been fantastic. He's taking it very seriously. He's been so methodical with how he's learned everything, and he's very self-critical. So, yeah, he's a cool guy to have around."

Draper, who is from the United Kingdom but currently resides in California, made his live debut with CARCASS in March 2018 at the Netherlands Deathfest at 013 in Tilburg.

"Surgical Steel" sold around 8,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart.

GUNS N' ROSES Performs Deep Cut 'Dead Horse' Live For First Time In 26 Years (Video)

The track originally appeared on GN'R's "Use Your Illusion I" album in 1991 and was last played at the final show of the "Use Your Illusion" tour in Argentina 26 years ago.

GUNS N' ROSES' current trek runs through November 2. This leg of the tour will close out with two shows at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

"Not in This Lifetime" launched more than three years ago and will continue through the U.S. and play major shows in Mexico including Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara and Estadio Caliente in Tijuana in late October.

In addition, the band is hitting up several festivals, including Austin City Limits, Louder Than Life, Exit 111 and Voodoo.

DRESS THE DEAD Reveals New Video for Emotionally-Charged Single "You Only Get Off When I Cry"

DRESS THE DEAD Reveals New Video for Emotionally-Charged Single "You Only Get Off When I Cry"

Bay Area-based metal band Dress The Dead has revealed a new video for the cathartic song, "You Only Get Off When I Cry".

"This song hits home particularly hard for me," says vocalist Kayla Dixon. "When writing the lyrics for 'You Only Get Off When I Cry', it seemed more as if another part of me had completely taken over the process. That part of me said, 'I'm in control now,' and I had no other choice but to flow with what it was trying to tell me."

The 23-year-old vocalist is the newest addition to Dress The Dead, which was originally formed by former Forbidden and Spiral Arms guitarist Craig Locicero in 2017 along with The Haunted vocalist Peter Dolving. After Dolving's departure and the ensuing struggle to find a suitable replacement, the young vocalist, who also fronts the band Witch Mountain, reached out to Locicero and recorded sample vocals for the song "1969". From that point forward, Dress The Dead's lineup was complete.

Also featuring guitarist Mikey Rowan (Insolence), bassist James Walker (Manmade God) and drummer Mark Hernandez (Forbidden), the collective pedigree of Dress The Dead lends itself to a sound that is anthemic and soulful, as well as accessible.

The video for "You Only Get Off When I Cry" was directed by Mike Sloat and the track was produced by Machine Head's Robb Flynn, who says, "'You Only Get Off When I Cry' blew me away the first time I heard it. The groove was so hard. Kayla dug down deep to come up with lyrics about a disturbing subject matter, and delivered it with a vocal performance that was quite frankly jaw dropping!"

Kayla Dixon adds, "When we entered the studio with Robb Flynn to record this one, the song was completely different and the lyrics were vague at best. Robb really inspired me to bring specificity to my suffering. So, I sat down and let the darkness consume me. This song is one last purge of all the negativity I've encountered in my life from childhood and through my adult life. We chose to release this song with the highest hopes that it reaches someone who needs to hear its message. If you are experiencing domestic violence, please call the national domestic violence hotline at 1-800-799-7233."

In live news, Dress The Dead will perform at The Ivy Room in Albany, CA on October 26th.

BLEED THE SKY To Release New Album In January Via Art Is War Records; Tour Dates Announced

BLEED THE SKY To Release New Album In January Via Art Is War Records; Tour Dates Announced

After releasing two albums via Nuclear Blast in the earlier part of the century, Bleed The Sky are back! The band just inked a new deal with Art Is War Records for the release of their upcoming album, This Way Lies Madness, out on January 17, and announce the Revival Tour with labelmates, Skinlab (see dates below).

The band consists of Noah Robinson (vocals), Austin D'Amond (drums), Wayne Miller (guitar), Kevin Garcia (Guitar) and David Culbert (Bass). Garcia collaborated with long time friend Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Drowning Pool, Machine Gun Kelly) to co-produce an album that picks up right where the band left off, blending crushing guitars and D'Amond's break neck drumming with Robinson's signature vocal of haunting cleans and savage screams.

This January, the group find themselves hitting the road on a 16-date tour run to kick off a busy 2020 along with their new AIW labelmates, Bay Area metal kings Skinlab, who are prepping their own brand new release, Venomous (October 25). Arise In Chaos round out the bill as support, with So This Is Suffering joining them on select dates.

Vocalist Noah Robinson states: “We’re very happy to announce some important news to all you patient (and impatient) fans out there! We have entered a new partnership agreement with AIW (Art is War) Records for the release of our new album, This Way Lies Madness. This label has the utmost confidence in Bleed The Sky and in our new album. They have worked tirelessly with us to ensure that this album will be exactly what fans have been waiting for! We’ll be shooting a video for our newest single which will be released in December. Also, we are excited to announce our first headlining tour in over a decade! We are honoured to be touring with the legendary Skinlab, we have put our blood, sweat and tears into this next album and we can’t wait for you all to hear it!"

Ex-FLYLEAF Vocalist LACEY STURM Confirms She Is Talking To BREAKING BENJAMIN's BENJAMIN BURNLEY About Starting New Band

Ex-FLYLEAF Vocalist LACEY STURM Confirms She Is Talking To BREAKING BENJAMIN's BENJAMIN BURNLEY About Starting New Band

Former FLYLEAF vocalist Lacey Sturm recently spoke with Brandon Woolum of CCM Magazine. The full conversation can be seen below. A few excerpts follow (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On filling in for SKILLET drummer/vocalist Jen Ledger during the band's recent tour with BREAKING BENJAMIN:

Lacey: "It was weird. I have a 14-month-old baby, and I haven't really been touring since I had him. The guys in SKILLET, me and Korey [Cooper] have written a lot together. We've toured a couple times. We're really good friends behind the scenes. I think they're really cool people, and we have a lot in common that not a lot of people do, like touring with children and being Christians in the mainstream and playing heavy rock festivals. Jen started her band LEDGER and booked some dates, and there came this opportunity to tour with BREAKING BENJAMIN for SKILLET. Jen was, like, 'I would never think they would do those dates without me, but if anybody's going to do it, I'm so happy it's you.' I'm just so thankful that I get to be a part of what they're doing. I love SKILLET as people. I love their music. My kids listen to their music all the time in the house. They're huge SKILLET fans. They don't even think I'm that cool, but when they found out I was playing with John 'Doggy' [Cooper], they're like, 'What?' They became fans of me after that. [Laughs]"

On her ongoing devotional series:

Lacey: "It was burning in my soul to address some things that are so simple about what it means to walk out your Christian life. So many people would tell me the story of how when they were at a show or a concert, something came over them without me talking directly and giving an altar call or anything like that. They would just say, 'Something came over me, and I just knew there was a God and I knew I needed to give my life to Jesus.' That's exactly what we prayed for before the show – people that don't know which way is up or that feel that lost sense and that are anxious or struggling with depression or suicide, things that I walked through, that they would have an encounter with God like I had an encounter with God... As I see these people and see them online and wrote 'The Reason' and a couple books about stuff, I just remember thinking, 'There's a lot of stuff out there about how much God loves us, but there's not a lot out there about what does it mean [and] to look like to love God back.' For the audience that we have, they need to know that God loves them, but they also need to know that there's actually a response that happens that can change your life. The thing that got through me depression even after I became a Christian, and suicidal moments even after I became a Christian, was learning how to read the Bible every day, in the morning and at night. It changed my life. I was hungry for it, because I was such a smart-aleck atheist before... I was like, 'How can I show people that this will change your life?' I thought, 'We'll make a devotional that's a video,' so you can just push play, and then they can have the Bible word for word — somebody looking you in the eye and saying it to you. We look in the camera and say it like somebody's telling you a story, or like somebody's talking to you. That was really important to me, because I seem to remember things better when somebody's looking me in the eye... It's less about me and what I have to say. It's more about you learning how to have a time with God every day, and how that changes your life."

On the challenges of playing to audiences featuring a mix of believers and secular fans:

Lacey: "I just remember who I am. I guess I try to just be myself. I have this philosophy when I look at anyone, anywhere in their life journey and I ask God to help me see them the way He sees them. A lot of times, I think when you ask for that, you start to see something more than even what the person sees in themselves. Just talking to them as if they're that person makes you free to not have to try to tiptoe around anything. You just get to be free to be yourself and free to honor them for God sees them as — this person for whom Christ died. To be able to just come with honor and connection over the things we struggle with, that's just fascinating – looking at them as fascinating works of God's art. It makes it easy."

On her future plans:

Lacey: "There's definitely things we're thinking about, like a new album. There's been talk about starting a band with the singer from BREAKING BENJAMIN, Ben Burnley. That's exciting... I saw Ben and his wife on the road, and we had a conversation. I actually showed him 'Reflect Love Back', the soundtrack, the acoustic album, and he loved it. Then he talked with me about singing on his acoustic album, which just came out — singing on 'Dear Agony', which I think is one of their best songs... when I listened to the lyrics, I just was like, 'This is Jesus in the Garden,' and I just started crying. That's how I knew I should do it. When I was in the studio with Ben, I was like, 'Let me tell you about your song.' He goes, 'Are you going to preach to me?' I'm like, 'Do you want me to preach to you?' He's, like, 'Yeah.' I'm like, 'No, I'm not going to preach to you. You preached to me. Let me show you the lyrics in your song,' and I went through the lyrics and showed him what it said to me. He goes, 'How'd you turn my rock song into a Jesus song?'"

Sturm left FLYLEAF — a group with which she recorded three albums — in 2012. Since then, she has released two solo albums — 2016's "Life Screams" and this year's "Reflect Love Back: Soundtrack Vol. 1" (written and recorded by Lacey and Josh Sturm as a soundtrack for a 12-week video series, "Reflect Love Back") — and authored three books.

Exclusive: TYGERS OF PAN TANG Premiere “Damn You” Video

Exclusive: TYGERS OF PAN TANG Premiere “Damn You” Video

Tygers Of Pan Tang will release their new album, Ritual, on November 22 via Mighty Music.  "Damn You" is the second single from Ritual and BraveWords is premiering the new lyric video for the single.

A few quotes from the band:

Jack Meile / vocals: "Sometimes what sounds like a straight forward, hard rocking, headbanging song is not that easy to write. Robb had been working with Gav on this song for a while but only when we started jamming it, it finally became what you hear. My favorite part is the bridge, with that '80s vibe and Robb solo on this one is a Killer!"

Robb Weir / guitars & founding member: "Classic hard rock, no messing... big guitar riff, juggernaut rhythm section and foot on the monitor, broadcast vocals. You'd be hard pushed to find a bigger anthem this year. Pass me a cigar, I feel a moment coming on..."

Gav Gray / bass: "...No Tygers album would be complete without a classic slab of old school heavy metal. That's ‘Damn You’! Timeless Riff-o-Matic guitars slayed over a stampede of rhythm and straight ahead vocal made for the headbangers out there... This track really is bulletproof."

Fans can preorder the Ritual album on vinyl, limited edition red vinyl (500 copies worldwide), CD and t-shirt bundles here.

The album was engineed & recorded by Fred Purser, mixed by Soren Andersen, and mastered by Harry Hess. Artwork by Roberto Toderico.

HAZZERD - Canadian Thrashers Release Lyric Video For "A Tormented Reality"

HAZZERD - Canadian Thrashers Release Lyric Video For "A Tormented Reality"

Canadian thrash quartet, Hazzerd, have unveiled a lyric video for “A Tormented Reality”, the first single from their forthcoming sophomore album and M-Theory Audio debut, Delirium. Check out the clip, which was designed by Rafael Ortega of Ecliptic Visions, below.

“A Tormented Reality” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and other digital platforms. Says drummer/vocalist Dylan Westendorp, “We chose 'A Tormented Reality' as the first single off of Delirium because we believe it showcases everything there is to find on this new record - the speed, melody, solos and lyrics. It’s a three-minute ripper with no break in the action. Lyrically, the song talks about an individual with physical restrictions due to a medical condition they cannot control, leaving them depressed and suicidal as they cannot live their life the way others can, trapped in a tormented reality.”

Pre-orders for Delirium, which will be released on January 24, are available now. The album, which features cover artwork by Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust), was recorded earlier this year at Calgary's MCC Recording Studio and mixed and mastered by Johnny Gasparic (Into Eternity). All digital pre-orders include an “instant grat” download of “A Tormented Reality,” while CDs, cassettes and limited-edition colored vinyl can be pre-ordered here.

Tracklisting:

"Sacrifice Them (In The Name Of God)"
"A Tormented Reality"
"Sanctuary For The Mad"
"Victim Of A Desperate Mind"
"Call Of The Void"
"Dead In The Shed"
"Illuminated Truth"
"Waking Nightmare"
"The Decline"
"The End" (Outro)

Hazzerd was initially formed by drummer/lead vocalist Dylan Westendorp and guitarist Brendan Malycky, two Calgary teens who were inspired by the early work of thrash legends such as Overkill, Metallica and Anthrax. The group self-released their debut EP, Victimize The Innocent, in 2014. The following year, the band recruited then-18-year-old lead guitarist Toryin Schadlich.

In 2017, soon after solidifying the group's lineup with the addition of bassist David Sprague, Hazzerd recorded their full-length debut, Misleading Evil, which was released via Canada's World War Now Records.

In recent years, Hazzerd has performed alongside the likes of Striker, Vicious Rumors, Archspire, Spellcaster, and Grim Reaper in addition to playing noted Canadian festivals such as Loud As Hell and Armstrong MetalFest. Earlier this month, the group completed a successful string of shows north of the border with Hatchet. The group's next scheduled performance will take place at the Starlite Room in Edmonton, Alberta on December 7.

EDGE OF PARADISE Premier "Fire" Music Video

EDGE OF PARADISE Premier "Fire" Music Video

Edge Of Paradise will release their new album, Universe, on November 8 via Frontiers Music Srl. Pre-order Universe here, and watch a video for the song, "Fire", below.

Formed by singer/pianist Margarita Monet and guitarist Dave Bates in 2011, the Los Angeles based band has made a name for themselves in the metal scene with the release of well-received independent albums and heavy touring both nationally and internationally. Their new album, and first for Frontiers, Universe, was produced by Mike Plotnikoff (Halestorm, Three Days Grace) and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Volbeat, Pretty Maids). Universe brings together a symphonic and classic metal approach with more contemporary sounds like industrial and electronic influences.

"With this album, we set out to create something that would transport you to another world, music that transcends time and space and takes you on an epic ride through our 'Universe'! The songs are about shattering your fears, testing your limits, and going after your passions at the speed of light, holding on to our humanity and supporting one another as we enter our insane digital future together. Musically, the songs hit you with a cosmic wall of sound, supersonic energy with massive industrial and symphonic textures. We were very lucky to have the best production team for this album as Mike Plotnikoff and Jacob Hansen helped capture our vision perfectly," says vocalist Margarita Monet.

Coinciding with the release of Universe, Edge Of Paradise is already confirmed to appear as direct support to Sonata Arctica in November - December 2019 on their upcoming European headline run. The band will tour extensively through 2020 in support of the album as well, with more touring announcements imminent.

"We are beyond excited to bring our show to European audiences! The sheer power and energy of these songs are electrifying live and we can't wait to share our 'Universe' with everyone, so come to the show and let's forget the outside world for a moment and get lost in another dimension together," says Monet.

BLACK SABBATH's BILL WARD Releases Lyric Video For New DAY OF ERRORS Song 'Dark'

BLACK SABBATH's BILL WARD Releases Lyric Video For New DAY OF ERRORS Song 'Dark'

DAY OF ERRORS, the three-piece band led by original BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward, has released the official lyric video for its new song called "Dark". Check it out below.

In November 2017, DAY OF ERRORS released its first two songs, "Day Of Errors" and "Blaspheming At Creation" via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 and Google Play.

The band made its live debut in June 2016 at Gaslamp in Long Beach, California.

The group, which was formed by Ward "in the desire to have my drumming spirit continue to live," also features Joe Amodea on guitar/vocals and KILL DEVIL HILL singer Jason "Dewey" Bragg on vocals.

Bragg joined DAY OF ERRORS in early 2017 following the departure of bassist/vocalist Nick Diltz (ALL HAIL THE YETI).

Earlier this year, Bragg spoke to "The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show" about what he gleaned from playing with Ward for the past two years. "Honestly, Bill is a phenomenal songwriter — singer and songwriter," he said. "He's written all the lyrics, all the melodies, all the music, all the guitar parts, obviously, the drum parts… It's an inspiration to see someone that you've listened to your whole life, and then you get to actually stand in a room with the guy and watch him perform and write and produce. It's amazing. I'm very blessed and happy to have that opportunity to do that with him. Especially one of the members of BLACK SABBATH. I mean, that's like hanging out with one of the dudes from LED ZEPPELIN, man. Give me a break. It's awesome."

Ward was on board for the SABBATH reunion when it was first announced in November 2011, but backed out soon after. He later claimed that he sat out the recording and touring sessions because of unfair contractual terms, although the members of SABBATH have hinted in other interviews that he wasn't physically up to the task.

It was rumored that SABBATH wanted to bring a second drummer on the road to share duties with Ward, which he allegedly balked at.

Ward in 2015 released his first solo album in 18 years. Titled "Accountable Beasts", the record can be purchased on iTunes.

YEAR OF THE LOCUST Unveil “Sorry” Lyric Video

YEAR OF THE LOCUST Unveil “Sorry” Lyric Video

Hard rock band Year Of The Locust- YOTL have released a new lyric video for their single "Sorry" off of the 2019 self-titled Year Of The Locust EP. The band has also announced tour dates with The Zealots that begin on November 9, 2019, in Rochester, NY, at Pineapple Jacks.

New York’s Year Of The Locust are doing things the old fashioned way. Rather than relying on false accolades and manufactured hype, the band has taken their furious live show and stellar songwriting to the masses directly. Extensive touring throughout the country has endeared the band to fans and peers alike. Their new lyric video single, ‘Sorry,’ is a redemption song; "If you listen hard you will hear Brett Hestla's voice in the background. You'll also hear an EBow. Brian Bond's used it to create an eerie background. The song was kind of a wildcard. We knew we had three solid tracks on the EP. So, we took a chance and built ‘Sorry’ right on the spot, with a heavy riff we had experimented with only one time. I just started speaking the lyrics in the studio and it worked. Things got really deep in the studio when I sang the last line of the second verse. It was definitely a memorable moment. It took Brett a few weeks to send us the final version. He felt compelled to add a guitar overlay in the chorus and we were blown away. Not just because we loved what we heard but also that he was inspired enough to put the extra work in on it. The lyrics are right out of my life. It's about personal growth and owning up to your mistakes, and we hope you appreciate the realness." says vocalist Scotty Mac about the new single. It features guest appearances from Ex-Florida Georgia Line guitarist Brian Bonds and vocals by Brett Hestla of Dark New Day fame, who also produced it.

YOTL has toured all 48 continental states and Canada, whilst living in their beloved P-90 bus, "Gertrude." The sound has evolved to fill the void left wide open by a world flooded with heavy-screaming bands or limp rock.

Cloak comments on The Burning Dawn album: "We have spent the last two years meticulously crafting our new album that we have come to name The Burning Dawn. This process has changed us by giving way to a very different representation of our art, one that this album embodies completely. It is more of an attack than a reflection, and we feel that 'Tempter's Call' is the perfect introduction into this new chapter. Join us!"

The Burning Dawn can be pre-ordered in various formats here.

Conceptually, the record comes from a place below the surface where the sleepless and sinister dwell, and is absorbed by the darkest of dreams and the most primal desires. Musically, this exploration takes the gothic nuances of its predecessor while abandoning any hesitation in exchange for a more aggressive and vehement spirit.

While rippers like “On Poisoned Ground” and “Into The Storm” deliver a fury of soulful aggression, songs like “Lifeless Silence” and “The Fire, The Faith, The Void” offer a darker, gothic essence, ultimately displaying Cloak’s multi-faceted and dynamic musical diversity.

The artwork of The Burning Dawn was created by Adam Burke.

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of MACHINE HEAD's Entire Bochum Concert During 'Burn My Eyes' 25th-Anniversary Tour

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of MACHINE HEAD's Entire Bochum Concert During 'Burn My Eyes' 25th-Anniversary Tour

Professionally filmed video footage of MACHINE HEAD's entire October 14 concert at RuhrCongress in Bochum, Germany can be seen below. The show, which was part of the European leg of MACHINE HEAD's 25th-anniversary tour for the band's classic debut, "Burn My Eyes", was originally livestreamed via Nugs.tv.

Building on the band's previous "An Evening With…" format, the "Burn My Eyes" anniversary show is described in a press release as "a three-hour musical extravaganza," comprised of two parts: part one consists of a battery of MACHINE HEAD's modern classics, such as "Imperium", "Halo" and "Locust", featuring guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn and bassist Jared MacEachern performing alongside new recruits, Polish guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (DECAPITATED) and British drummer Matt Alston (DEVILMENT, EASTERN FRONT); part two features "Burn My Eyes" played in its entirety for the first time ever, with original drummer Chris Kontos and guitarist Logan Mader joining in.

MACHINE HEAD's setlist for the Bochum show was as follows:

01. Imperium

02. Take My Scars

03. Now We Die

04. Beautiful Mourning

05. Bulldozer

06. Bite The Bullet

07. Locust

08. This Is The End

09. I Am Hell (Sonata In C#)

10. Aesthetics Of Hate

11. Guitar Solo (Performed By Vogg. Including "Floods" Outro)

12. Darkness Within

13. Catharsis

14. From This Day

15. Ten Ton Hammer

16. s There Anybody Out There?

17. Halo

18. Davidian

19. Old

20. A Thousand Lies

21. None But My Own

22. The Rage To Overcome

23. Death Church

24. A Nation On Fire

25. Blood For Blood

26. I'm Your God Now

27. South Of Heaven (SLAYER cover)

28. Block

The North American leg of MACHINE HEAD's "Burn My Eyes" 25th-anniversary tour will kick off in Phoenix on January 16, and continue across Texas, Florida, New York, Toronto, Chicago and Denver, wrapping up at the legendary Fox Theater in Oakland, California on February 21 and House Of Blues in Anaheim, California on February 22.

Flynn spoke to U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine about the decision to effectively split the set with new musicians playing the non-"Burn My Eyes" songs. He said: "As I was figuring it out with Logan, Chris and Jared, I explained that I can't even imagine playing a MACHINE HEAD show and not playing 'Halo'; 'Imperium'; 'Aesthetics Of Hate'; 'From This Day'; 'The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears…', 'Now We Die' — or even 'Catharsis'. 'Darkness Within' is a show-stopping moment, every time. We had to think about how we were going to pull this off. I wanted to honor Chris and Logan and not have them needing to learn 40 other fucking songs to be able to pull it off.

"It's kind of weird. We're gonna have a lot of motherfuckers on tour," he said. "But it's gonna be fucking awesome. I think it's gonna be a bit of a goddamn circus. I really want to pay tribute to the guys that were there and built it with me. I think it's gonna break the fucking Internet!"

Kontos left MACHINE HEAD before the release of the band's second album, 1997's "The More Things Change", and was replaced by Dave McClain.

Mader contributed to two MACHINE HEAD albums, the aforementioned "Burn My Eyes" and "The More Things Change", before exiting the group and being replaced by Ahrue Luster and, later on, Phil Demmel.

Demmel and McClain exited MACHINE HEAD last fall.

OTHERWISE Releases Music Video For 'Lifted'

OTHERWISE Releases Music Video For 'Lifted'

Las Vegas rockers OTHERWISE have released a music video for their new song "Lifted". The Chisel Pixel Productions-directed clip was shot last month in Los Angeles.

Regarding the shoot, OTHERWISE's Adrian Patrick said: "Making the video for 'Lifted' was perhaps the most fun we've ever had filming! The locale was absolutely stunning (thanks to Patten Title Group), the vehicles and girls were drop-dead gorgeous, but the best part was having our family and friends there to celebrate with us; even our mom stopped by for a few! The director and his team did a phenomenal job putting it all together; the final product came out over the top and zany AF, which is exactly what we wanted... We can't wait for this silly beast to get released so the world can get 'Lifted' with us!"

"Lifted" is a wiry riff that snakes around blunt lyrics "about getting fucked up, alcohol, and drugs… it got me kicked off tours and banned from festivals," Adrian admitted. "It's about all of the same shit that got me trouble, and the label thought it was the best single to lead with. It's fun. I've been the guy the song is about. I've lived that life. I've been there. It's real."

"Lifted" is taken from OTHERWISE's upcoming studio album, "Defy", which will be released on November 8 via Mascot Records, a division of Mascot Label Group.

The hard rockers flew out of the traps when they were heralded in their early days by Fox News as one of the best unsigned bands in the U.S. after their debut single, "Soldiers", sold over 10,000 copies. The song went of to feature on 2012's "True Love Never Dies", which has over 26 million Spotify streams alone and has become the band's anthem. They also became the first band to reach #1 on Sirius Octane without a record label and it was their formidable presence at satellite radio in the U.S. that built the band's following.

They were formed by Sin City-born brothers Adrian (lead vocals) and Ryan Patrick (guitar, vocals), on a diet of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, THIRD EYE BLIND and FAITH NO MORE, with Tony Carboney (bass, vocals), and Brian Medeiros (drums) completing the lineup. The quartet have also previously enlisted high-profile friends in Ash Costello (NEW YEARS DAY) on "Heaven" from their 2012 label debut and Jonathan Davis (KORN) on 2017's "Sleeping Lions". Every single they've released has reached the top 30 U.S. Mainstream Rock charts. Adrian Patrick also featured on IN THIS MOMENT's 2010 song "The Promise", the band's highest-charting single to date.

Since OTHERWISE's self-titled independent debut in 2006, they've unleashed "True Love Never Dies" (2012), "Peace At All Costs" (2014) and "Sleeping Lions" (2017). Along the way, they have shared the stage with everyone from STONE SOUR to PAPA ROACH in addition to shutting down Welcome To Rockville, Rocklahoma and ShipRocked.

On "Defy", they linked up with producer Matt Good (ASKING ALEXANDRIA, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD) for the first time, commuting from Las Vegas to his Phoenix studio in order to cut these eleven tracks.

"It's a new chapter all around, and we're fired up about it," the singer said. "Matt is the most creative, prolific producer we've ever worked with. He's the kind of guy we've always wanted in our corner."

The opener "Bad Trip" kicks down the door with ominous electronics and glitchy echoes before a hard-hitting and hypnotic chant. "It serves as a commentary on the current nebulous state of affairs we find ourselves mired in a as a nation…as human beings on this planet." Elsewhere, "Don't Even" takes no prisoners with a stranglehold groove and knockout chorus. "We were without a label and back to being a garage band," recalled Adrian. The anthemic "Ain't Done Yet" doubles as "OTHERWISE's mission statement." Meanwhile, the emotionally charged closer "Good Fight" strikes a different chord with its orchestral build up and soaring refrain. "It's for my wife and sons as well as all of our families and friends who've had our backs in this crazy life by music," smiled Adrian. "It's the last one we did. My dad always said, 'You've got to fight the good fight'. I felt some deeper connection to the phrase. It's like it came from eons and generations ago. This notion of fighting the good fight is part of our DNA."

"When you listen to the record, I hope you go, 'I did not expect that'," Adrian left off. "It's personal. This is my fucking life. There's no turning back. This band is the future of my family. It means everything to me — and all of us. This is OTHERWISE."

"Defy" track listing:

01. Bad Trip

02. Money

03. Crossfire

04. Lifted

05. Picking At Bones

06. Ain't Done Yet

07. Goliath

08. Don't Even

09. Fame and Miss Fortune

10. Unbreakable

11. Good Fight

CYHRA - "Battle From Within" Guitar Playthrough Video Posted

CYHRA - "Battle From Within" Guitar Playthrough Video Posted

Cyhra will release their sophomore album, No Halos In Hell, on November 15 via Nuclear Blast. Recently, the band released their second single "Battle From Within" and today they unveil the guitar playthrough video of that song. Check it out below.

Says vocalist Jake E: "For over 10 years I pushed my feelings aside. I thought I was strong... but in reality I just kept digging that hole deeper and deeper. One day during the writing process of No Halos In Hell, I was sitting by the piano, and while I was singing some gibberish to make up a vocal line for one of the songs, I felt something. And when I went back to listen to what I had just recorded, I realized that this was more than just gibberish to me. I guess it was my own mind that started to process things.

"My brother, Fredrik, was taken away from me and my family way too early. Just as so many other human beings who decide every year to leave this earth on their own initiative.

"When we discussed the video, I really didn't "just" wanna do another normal lyric video. My Fiancee came up with the brilliant idea to involve the fans. We contacted our fanbase through our social media platforms, and the response was truly beyond overwhelming. We got more participants that we could fit in! The subject was close to our fans hearts - and I am eternally grateful for their participation!

"My brother was strong, funny, and full of life and loved to work on his boat. This song is for people like my brother. I want them to hear this song before it's too late. We only have one life! And even if you sometimes feel as though life isn't worth fighting for, trust me, it is! When I look at my kids I can't stop thinking about what a fantastic uncle he would have been, and it hurts me that he was never able to meet them. I know how much they would have loved him.

"My parents lost a son. And me and my sister lost a brother. He is forever missed and loved as we keep fighting our battle from within."

Founded by vocalist Jake E (ex-Amaranthe) and guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), Cyhra has gone from being reminiscent of the duo's former bands to having a unique identity. In fact, No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box; coming out heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks that stay nailed to the brain for days, achieving maximum impact throughout. Fusing a relentless energy and heaviness the best way possible was Cyhra's main focus this time out. The addition of guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining) as a full member has raised the creative process to a level where, according to Jake E, "Everyone is playing to the point of what is best for the song.” No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box: delivering tunes that are both heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks and musical ear-worms.

Produced by Jacob Hansen and co-produced by the band's very own Jake E, the album is filled with 12 live-oriented songs, ensuring maximum catchiness.

No Halos In Hell will be available as 2 CD digipak, black vinyl or download on November 15. The bonus CD included in the limited digipak includes six additional songs, three of them being exclusive acoustic versions. You can pre-order the format of your choice here.

Tracklisting:

"No Halos In Hell"
"Battle From Within"
"I Am The One"
"Bye Bye Forever"
"Dreams Gone Wrong"
"Lost In Time"
"Kings Tonight"
"I Had Your Back"
