Following their late 2019 single "Pigs Ear", metal juggernauts EMMURE continue to tease their forthcoming, eighth studio album that's due out later this year. Today, the band has revealed a video for a crushing new song titled "Gypsy Disco".
EMMURE's latest track touches on the subject of suicide prevention, a topic near and dear to the band.
The clip for "Gypsy Disco" was directed by Eric DiCarlo (FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, SAVAGE HANDS), who stated about the process: "Working with [vocalist] Frankie [Palmeri] on this video was a really cool experience. First and foremost, the song kicks ass. This allowed me to shoot/edit pretty aggressively and slam some really intense visuals in your face. Combine that with some narrative (that is both introspective and tells a story of failure) being broadcasted through a form of media and you have yourself a visual representation of EMMURE's new album. I'd also like to note that we ended the video with a direct contact to the suicide hotline for anyone that may relate or feel alone."
Summoning the most brutal barebones, punishing metallic hardcore with some of the catchiest nu-metal inspired Active Rock rhythm around, EMMURE makes its awaited return with no feigned sophistication, no phoned-in sloganeering, and no calculated drama. Leaving the gossip and the rumor mill in the past, Palmeri, along with guitarist Josh Travis and drummer Josh Miller, has emerged from the studio with a new LP.
EMMURE's latest album, "Look At Yourself", which was released in March 2017. The follow-up to the 2014's "Eternal Enemies" marked EMMURE's first release with SharpTone Records.
German metallers GRAVE DIGGER will celebrate their 40th anniversary with the release of their 20th studio album, titled "Fields Of Blood", on May 29 via Napalm Records. The disc will take us on an emotional journey through Scottish history and into explosive sound landscapes. Driving riffs and epic choruses meet the famous "Great Highland Bagpipes": In the Highlands, the battlefields of Stirling, Bannockburn and Culloden, the listener will find himself on a rollercoaster between grief and triumph again, suffers and wins with the Scottish freedom fighters. After "The Clans Will Rise Again" and "Tunes Of War", GRAVE DIGGER closes its Highland saga in epic style.
Today, the iconic band has not only unveiled the incredible album artwork, but is also sharing a first single to the epic magnum opus, "All For The Kingdom". And this track perfectly sets the scene for the final and long-awaited part of their Scottish highland trilogy: "All For The Kingdom" is a mercilessly epic song that shows the direction of the new GRAVE DIGGER album. No prisoners are taken here and GRAVE DIGGER prove what they do best even after 40 years of their impressive band history. Choruses and riffs that cut into your ear canals and hearts to stay there, as well as hundreds of thousands Highlanders have remained on the battlefields, believing in a better life in freedom and independence.
"We did it again and put on the kilts... as we always got fascinated by Scotland and its history," says frontman Chris Boltendahl. "For a long time we considered when the right time would be to return to the Highlands, delve into their legends and myths. Our 40th band anniversary seems to be the right occasion for this and so we take you on a trip for the third time... put on the kilts and pull out your swords and axes, follows us to Stirling and Culloden and experience up close Scottish history, up close, authentic and emotional. As William Wallace / Braveheart said: Yes, they may take our lives. But they never take away our freedom!"
Swedish metallers SOILWORK have released a brand new song called "Desperado". It is the second installment in SOILWORK's "Feverish" triology, which might also eventually end up becoming a so far unknown entity.
Commented the band: "'Desperado', just like 'Feverish', is a song about how a single emotion can overtake your entire being, and consume you like an almost sentient force. 'Desperado' is about what lies behind and beyond, the places you normally avoid. But they will always be there. 'Desperado' is shock rock and metal mayhem for those of us who long for a way out."
"Desperado" was written and composed by David Andersson. It was recorded at SolnaSound Recordings in Stockholm with Simon Johansson and The Panic Room, Skövde with Thomas Plec Johansson. Violin was recorded by Rachel Hall. "Desperado" was produced by SOILWORK and Thomas Plec Johansson and mixed and mastered by Thomas Plec Johansson. René U Valdes produced and directed the music video.
At the time of the "Feverish" release, it was announced that SOILWORK would issue "The Feverish Trinity" over the coming months, a trilogy of songs with accompanying videos that, according to the band, would "celebrate the Babylonian Death Goddesses that once made the world a more Feverish and exciting place."
SOILWORK's eleventh studio album, "Verkligheten", was released in January 2019 via Nuclear Blast. The first-edition digipack, as well as the vinyl versions, also contained the exclusive "Underworld" EP, containing four more songs. The digipack version also featured special artwork with lavish foil print.
"Verkligheten" was SOILWORK's first to feature drummer Bastian Thusgaard, who replaced Dirk Verbeuren in 2016.
Australian hard rock legends ROSE TATTOO will release "Outlaws", a re-recording of the iconic "Rock N Roll Outlaw" LP, on March 6.
The official music video for the song "Nice Boys (Don't Play Rock 'N' Roll)", taken from "Outlaws", can be seen below.
In addition to classics like the aforementioned "Nice Boys (Don't Play Rock 'N' Roll)", "Rock N' Roll Outlaw", "One Of The Boys" and "Bad Boy For Love", which have etched their way into the music landscape over the last 40-plus years, "Outlaws" includes three bonus tracks from the very early days, songs that were demoed and never made the final cut, those being "love song" "Rosetta", written back in 1975 by Angry Anderson and Ian Rilens, "Snow Queen" and "Sweet Love Rock and Roll", penned by Ian Rilens.
Lovable rogue Angry Anderson recruited the best in the business to head up the assault on this one, comprising legendary bass player Mark Evans of AC/DC fame, iconic guitarist Bob Spencer, Dai Pritchard on slide and Jackie Barnes on drums.
"For me, that's critically important, cosmically important, because this album is all about history, heritage, honor and respect," Angry said. "Just as significant is the forging, the embracing, and the official signing on if you like, to that history by THIS band and having them make their own reverent mark. This really is about honoring the past and respecting the present."
"Rock N' Roll Outlaw" was originally recorded at the famed Alberts studios, produced by the legendary team Vanda & Young and, released through Albert, Repertoire Records in late 1978. ROSE TATTOO's debut album was described as "a dangerous, unpredictable, monster of a record whose power has hardly diminished an ounce in the decades since this album cemented the band's foundation for the years to come."
Added Anderson: "The universe owes a deep unpayable debt to this band's founders Peter Wells and Ian Rilen as well as Mick Cocks, Dallas 'Digger' Royal, Geordie Leach, Rockin' Robin Riley and Lobby Loyde. Paul DeMarco, Dai Pritchard and Steve King have, of course, honorably kept the temple flame burning brightly more recently, but the album also rightfully acknowledges the foresight and support of Ted Albert, Fifa Riccobono, George Young and Harry Vanda who saw something in this band back when most other record companies were calling the cops."
"Outlaws" will be released by Cleopatra Records on all digital platforms as well as on CD and a special limited-edition vinyl pressing in your choice of red or silver.
ROSE TATTOO will undertake its first U.S. tour since 1982 this May.
A guitar playthrough video for "Checkmate", the first single from LAMB OF GOD's upcoming self-titled album, can be seen below.
"Lamb Of God" will be released on May 8 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to "VII: Sturm Und Drang" marks LAMB OF GOD's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined the band last July as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.
"'Checkmate' had gone through the wringer," said guitarist Mark Morton. "It lived as a demo for quite awhile before it was brought up with the full band. It wasn't until pre-production that the song really came alive, however. Being the first song we decided to dive into during pre-pro, 'Checkmate' was subject to the brunt of the LAMB microscope. Honestly though, once we all wrapped our heads around it, started vibing on it; the song flowed out incredible naturally. The coolest thing about 'Checkmate', to me at least, is that its one of the few LAMB OF GOD tunes to retain its working title as its official title."
The fact that the band's eighth studio effort would warrant "self-titled" status is a testament to the band's pride and satisfaction with these songs and this period in their creativity.
"Putting only our name on it is a statement," singer Randy Blythe said. "This is LAMB OF GOD. Here and now."
A true collaboration between all members of the band, LAMB OF GOD's eighth studio album is an amalgam of each individual's contributions, blended to create a singular style. Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler fuel the album with a mountain of riffs, taking what LAMB OF GOD are known for, and unbelievably, upping the ante to new levels. The rhythm section of John Campbell, looming large as a rhythmic shadow, and drummer Art Cruz, who makes his studio debut with LAMB OF GOD here on this record, underpin the proceedings with passion, sweat and expansive dynamics. Vocalist D. Randall Blythe is as angry, insightful, and informed as ever. Never one to shrink from facing the darker aspects of our nature head-on, Blythe delivers with no punches pulled, and as only he and LAMB OF GOD can in 2020.
In the midst of writing the ten songs that appear on "Lamb Of God", the group hit pause on the works-in-progress to man the stage as main support SLAYER's "The Final Campaign". After months of playing their best-known songs nightly, LAMB OF GOD returned to the new tracks and began to work with longtime producer Josh Wilbur (KORN, MEGADETH, GOJIRA, TRIVIUM). Special guests Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) also make appearances on "Lamb Of God".

The second run launches October 2 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida, and runs through November 13 at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
Porn has premiered their music video for the new single, "Dead in Every Eyes", off of their anticipated album No Monsters In God's Eyes, Act III. The music video was shot in Los Angeles with Fernando and Vicente Cordero from Industrialism Films.
In this final act of the Mr Strangler Trilogy and No Monsters In God's Eyes album series, the convicted serial killer Mr Strangler is facing his death, imprisoned and waiting for his execution while also being studied by psychiatrists.
The end is near. Mr Strangler is dead in every eyes. After a first escape, he is now on his last run, close to being jailed again and executed. Ready to be seated on the throne of death, the electric chair that you can see on the artwork on the album No Monsters In God's Eyes (out March 27).
After collaborating with Tom Baker (responsible for the masterings of legendary albums like Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar, NIN's Downward Spiral, Ministry's Psalm 69 or Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe), Porn gave Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Studio in Los Angeles) the task of mastering this album. Lucey previously worked with Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood and more.

New Messiah, featuring C. Will Harden on guitars and Craig Cefola (Dukes, Wheelhouse Junction) on drums, have released a cover of the Aerosmith hit, "Dream On", featuring Deibys Artigas. A video can be seen below.
Says Craig Cefola: "Working on original material and took a quick break to do this as inspiration hit and felt it was a song we wanted to put our spin on."
New Messiah recently released their debut album, Voice Of Choice, which includes 20 cover songs that showcase several singers including drummer Tom Hunting (Exodus). Tom hand picked the Stevie Wonder classic “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” as a song he always wanted to cover, along with three others including The Bus Boys’ “Boys Are Back In Town”, Jerry Reed’s “East Bound And Down” and The Time’s “Jungle Love” that also sparked the interest of Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Darryl wrote his part in that song and helped to open the album with this original take on Morris Day’s classic from the Prince film Purple Rain.
Rob Dukes (Exodus, Generation Kill, Fragile Mortals) also lends his vocals to tracks. Rob can be heard on the Judas Priest classic “Turbo Lover”, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” and Tom Petty’s “Refugee”, all songs hand picked by Dukes who has worked with life long friend Craig Cefola for decades. Rob was instrumental in helping to get this project off the ground and brought in some of these amazing vocalists to help make this unique collection of covers a reality.
Jack Gibson (Exodus, Testament) and Craig Cefola share their respect for Jerry Reed on “East Bound And Down” from the film “Smokey And The Bandit”. Jack plays bass on the track and also performs the song with his side band (Coffin Hunter).
Venezuelan rocker Deibys Artigas is featured on “Hell Is For Children”, “Call Me”, “The Final Countdown”, the Spanish classic “Bailando” and the Billy Joel masterpiece “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant”, a song that took the band several months to create. Piano parts were turned into Acoustic Guitar, while Saxophone and Clarinet morphs into ripping lead guitar solos.
Tbilisi-based vocalist Esté is featured on “Hot Stuff”, “Our Lips Are Sealed”, “Reach Out” and The Cars classic “Moving In Stereo”. She was the first vocalist on the project and inspired the band to expand the collection to a full album release.
Mitch Saul (Kick Start Charlie) brings his unique vocal stylings to “Holiday Road” from the film “National Lampoon’s Vacation”. The band tried out several singers before finally finding the right voice for this rarely covered Lindsey Buckingham classic.
James Arthur (Wheelhouse Junction) pays tribute to Johnny Cash for the hard rock version of “Folsom Prison Blues”.
Finally, New Messiah guitarist C. Will Harden get’s his chance to shine vocally on Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman”.
This unique collection of covers brings together a special group of excellent talent and pays tribute to these vocalist’s favorite songs. Be sure and check out the album tracks on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play and many streaming services.

Tar Pond are a Swiss anti-supergroup formed by legends from the music and art world, established in 2015 by legendary Celtic Frost bassist Martin Ain (RIP), former Coroner drummer and lyricist Marky Edelmann, renowned scratchboard artist Thomas Ott, Swiss art world heavyweight A.C. Kupper, and Stefano Mauriello.
Their first offering, “Please”, is taken from the upcoming debut album, Protocol Of Constant Sadness, which will be released on March 20. Tar Pond are sonic doom and gloom, the soundtrack of brutality downright dripping with heaviness and framed by apocalyptic, Tom Waits-like vocals.
Watch a video for “Please” below, stream/download the track here.
“Please” is an epic, sullen piece, recorded and brought to life in true old-fashioned analogue spirit at New Sound Studios with the producer Tommy Vetterli (himself guitar legend of Coroner fame). The video was shot on 8mm film by Thomas and Marky during a trip through New Mexico, where Ott was on assignment to create a travel book for Louis Vuitton, and completed with help from the magic editing touch of Gion-Reto Killias. The cover artwork for the single was created by Thomas Ott.
The band comments: “After an endless and tragic odyssey, Tar Pond will finally release their debut album. For now we give you the single - “Please”. A story of a dying man who is ready to go, talking to death.“
Tar Pond will celebrate the album release in style with an exclusive performance taking place in Zurich’s porn cinema Kino Roland, on March 20. Tickets will be available on the door.
The debut album, Protocol Of Constant Sadness, will finally see the light of day after a multi-year hibernation. The album was originally written and recorded in 2016 and 2017, but just as the band were getting ready to unleash their bastard child onto the world, fate struck like a hammer and the tragic death of Martin Ain in October 2017 stopped them in their tracks. Tar Pond nearly split up at this point, but ultimately decided to carry on and release the songs, adding Monica Schori on bass to the line-up.
Protocol Of Constant Sadness is out on March 20 as an exclusive vinyl-only physical edition and on all digital services.
Tar Pond are:
Thomas Ott - vocals
Markus Edelmann - drums
Monica Schori - bass
Stefano Mauriello - guitar

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne has released the official music video for "Ordinary Man", the title track of his new album. In the clip, directed by Stephen Lee Carr and produced by Sharon Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Peter Glowski, R. Greg Johnston and Stephen Lee Carr, Ozzy sits in front of a screen watching clips and looking at photos from his early days with BLACK SABBATH to headlining venues around the world as a solo artist. Throughout, Osbourne faces good times and bad, going from melancholy as he views troubling moments (the loss of Randy Rhoads) to happy times alongside his wife and family.
Marking his first new solo music in almost 10 years, "Ordinary Man" was preceded by the release of three singles, the No. 1 rock track "Under The Graveyard", which was followed by "Straight To Hell" featuring GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, and the aforementioned title cut.
"It was a lot of fun to do though it's a lot different from my other albums," Ozzy says of the LP. "We recorded it quickly, which I haven't done since the first BLACK SABBATH album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed."
Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on bass and Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) on drums. Beyond the core band, "Ordinary Man" features a who's-who of Ozzy friends and collaborators including Elton John, Post Malone and Tom Morello.
"It all just came together," Ozzy explains of the guest stars. "Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing 'Ordinary Man', it reminded me of an old Elton song and I said to Sharon, 'I wonder if he would sing on it?' We asked, and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and play piano on the song."
Three days after the news of the surprise collaboration with Elton was broken by Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon on her daytime TV talk show "The Talk", Smith spoke about the project during an appearance on "Volume West", which airs daily on SiriusXM Volume channel 106.
Asked by host Lyndsey Parker how Slash came to be involved with the album, Chad said: "Having Ozzy do new music, anyone that we mentioned to, 'We're making music for Ozzy,' everyone wants in. Anyone we spoke to. So we wanted it to be the right people. We didn't wanna just throw in names for names. [We wanted] people that love Ozzy, which is pretty much everybody anyway, but that made sense. The single that's out now called 'Straight To Hell', he soloed at the end of that — classic Slash wah-wah, bluesy; great. But, really, we wanted him to play on this song that is the title song, which is called 'Ordinary Man' — this more midtempoey, kind of BEATLES… Ozzy loves THE BEATLES — it's his favorite band. He's going on about THE BEATLES — THE BEATLES, BEATLES, BEATLES. And you would think, the Prince Of Darkness — THE BEATLES, really? So he's, like, 'We need something midtempo, not so heavy.' So Andrew [Watt, 'Ordinary Man' producer] had this little piano idea thing, and we made it into this song, and it's epic. And Slash plays the solo. It's so epic, there's two Slash solos. [Laughs] It's a really good song. And he plays beautifully on it, and we're so happy to have him on it.'
According to Chad, Elton ended up playing on the record as an afterthought. "We decided, 'Well, [the song] has a piano. Who is a really good piano player? I don't know…. Let's get the Rocket Man,'" Smith recalled. "And so Andrew and I went down to Atlanta, where Elton John lives when he's on the East Coast. I think he kind of lives all over the place. And we recorded him. And he played the piano on the song, and he plays it beautifully, of course. And then we're, like, 'Why don't we have him sing a verse?'"
Chad went on to say that Elton and Ozzy both sound "fucking awesome" on the song. "These two iconic legendary English fucking rockers that have been through it all are singing about the end of their lives. 'I don't wanna die an ordinary man.' And it's fucking great," he said. "Me and Andrew are pinching ourselves. And Elton was so great, so gracious. 'I'll do anything for Ozzy. I love Ozzy.'
"And so on this 'Ordinary Man' song, you've got Duff McKagan, Slash, Andrew Watt, wonderboy producer, writer, hot-shit guy of the moment, great musician," he continued. "You've got the Prince Of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. You've got Sir Elton John, and a drummer from some other band. You've got the fucking Avengers of rock and roll. It's so fucking good. And at the end of this song, every time I hear it, there's this string thing at the end. We went to Abbey Road [studios], and it's strings and a choir. It's fucking epic, and every time I hear it, I'm, like, 'And the Grammy goes to…'"

Issued in July 1990, TESLA's stripped down "Five Man Acoustical Jam" was an instant success that coincided with the rise of MTV's unplugged format. The set has since gone platinum in the U.S.
Last year, TESLA singer Jeff Keith told Canada's The Metal Voice about "Five Man London Jam": "It was done at Abbey Road studios [in London, England]. How cool is that? It's been 30 years. We had fun doing it 30 years ago, and we had fun when we were over at Abbey Road studios, where THE BEATLES and a whole lot more other great bands have recorded. And it was awesome. We just did it live [with] a little audience there. Once again, [it was] a live performance. And that's my favorite thing to do — performing live… I like it when it's live, because you don't even realize it. We're just having fun performing songs and they're gonna make a live record of it, and have some extra footage to put in there. We had a great time; we had a fantastic time. It was a blast."
Asked about the setlist for TESLA's performance at Abbey Road, Keith said: "Well, it was requested that we do some stuff to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of 'Five Man Acoustical Jam', so we did five or six songs from that. And then we did some of our new songs, [from] the record that we made with Phil Collen from DEF LEPPARD [2019's 'Shock'], which was fantastic. So we've got some new recordings there — it's new recordings of the 30-years-ago celebration — and we had fun with it. Just like we did 30 years ago, we had fun with it again."
Regarding the original "Five Man Acoustical Jam" recording, Jeff said: "It was just like an accident waiting to happen, and it was a great accident. Not an accident, but… We had been on tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE, and we had to jam an acoustical set that we did for, I think, the Bammies, the Bay Area Music Awards. So we decided, 'Hey, instead of sitting on two nights off in a row, we'll just find a club that'll let us come in and play our songs acoustically and have fun with it,' and that's what we did. And it was feeling so good, the decision was made with Geffen Records, 'Let's just record the whole night.' And we went to a radio station — me, Frank [Hannon] and Tommy [Skeoch] — and we played 'Signs' and the phones were ringing off the hook. I think it's our biggest-selling record to date. But it was all just having fun."
TESLA is continuing to tour in support of "Shock", which was released in March 2019 via UMe. The follow-up to 2014's "Simplicity" was produced and co-written by Collen.
The official music video for the song "To Outlive The Gods" from British doom metal veterans MY DYING BRIDE can be seen below. Directed by Hal Sinden, the clip features frontman Aaron Stainthorpe and tells the tale of a doomed love story. The track is taken from the band's latest studio album, "The Ghost Of Orion", which was released on March 6 via Nuclear Blast.
Stainthorpe states about the song: "When passion is so strong and so driven, even the Gods will be put to shame."
The new MY DYING BRIDE record features a more accessible style compared to some of the band's past, highly technical releases. "The Ghost Of Orion" features compositions not only of epic proportions but of intimate quality too, from death metal vocals to the pained cries of a vocalist in longing. The LP will raise and fall like the beautiful landscape of Yorkshire in which it was recorded.
With layer upon layer of guitars both heavy and harmonic, Andrew Craighan has created a rich soundscape that is beautifully epic, enhanced with violins and keys from Shaun MacGowan along with the ominous murmur of cello from acclaimed cellist Jo Quail. And speaking of guest artists, the wondrous voice of Lindy-Fay Hella (WARDRUNA) adds an ethereal beauty to the album. Adding his particular style of drumming this time round is Jeff Singer, whose percussion exploits have elevated the band's rhythm section to another level aided by the effortlessly stylish Lena Abe on bass guitar. Aaron Stainthorpe delivers a compelling and often disturbing performance with his own particular style of vocals offering sincere eulogies along with the visceral carnage of a soul in pain, with poetic lyrics of a quality not often seen in this genre.
The cover artwork for "The Ghost Of Orion" was created by artist Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH, SODOM).

The official music video for "Cerecloth", the title track of the seventh full-length album from Umeå, Sweden's black metal nihilists NAGLFAR, can be seen below. The disc will be released on May 8 via Century Media Records.
NAGLFAR comments: "We are proud to hereby reveal the title track from our upcoming album. 'Cerecloth' marks our first cooperation with Umeå-based Arevärn Film, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. This is a perfect presentation of what NAGLFAR is about in the year 2020. We hope that you will enjoy."
"Cerecloth" was recorded and mixed by NAGLFAR guitarist Marcus Norman at Wolf's Lair Studio and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound. The underlying musical and lyrical themes of "Cerecloth" were succinctly and confidently described by guitarist Andreas Nilsson as "the usual death and destruction".
Judging from Andreas's curt description, and the grim, ghostly cover art from the renowned artist Kristian Wåhlin and layout by Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design, certain death is exactly what listeners will experience with "Cerecloth".
"Cerecloth" track listing:
01. Cerecloth
02. Horns
03. Like Poison For The Soul
04. Vortex Of Negativity
05. Cry Of The Serafim
06. The Dagger In Creation
07. A Sanguine Tide Unleashed
08. Necronaut
09. Last Breath Of Yggdrasil
Century Media Records is thrilled to announce that NAGLFAR has inked a new deal with collective corpse water that is extending the long-term relationship. Philipp Schulte, director of Century Media Records, states: "NAGLFAR and Century Media have a long history and a close bond since 2003 and with the release of the album 'Sheol' the band and the label have worked together. We are very happy to continue this great cooperation for future album releases. The time has come: With 'Cerecloth', NAGLFAR finally returns! We are stoked to release this beast of a real melodic black metal album from the far North of Sweden. Thank you, guys, for your trust throughout all these years. Stand as one for battles to come."
NAGLFAR states about the re-signing: "There were never any doubts when approached by the Century Media family about extending our cooperation. One can't ask for a better label and we look forward to unleash 'Cerecloth' upon the world."
From the mean streets of Gary, Indiana by way of Oslo, Norway (or maybe the other way around- we’re not sure) comes Witch Taint, the most extremely extreme and Satanic Norwegian Black Metal band from Indiana ever probably and you can ask anyone.
The band’s full-length debut Sons Of Midwestern Darkness, recorded entirely in darkness in a damp room that was also annoyingly cold even if you wore a coat and a hat and stuff the whole time, will be released by New York City’s Tee Pee Records on April 10.
The band has dropped a video for the first single from the album “Sons Of Satan”, which is streaming below.
A press release states: “Sons Of Midwestern Darkness, is extremely difficult to listen to in all the best ways and features guest appearances from members of such not-nearly-as-extreme-as-Witch Taint bands as Venom, Carpathian Forest, and Autopsy and also Lance’s dog Lucifuge because they forgot to keep the basement door shut even though she will end up coming down there every single time no matter what. Sons Of Midwestern Darkness is a 12 song collection of extremely grim yet very catchy and danceable heavy metal anthems that are perfect to get hammered and sing along to with all your closest friends and enemies. There are also five extremely extreme interludes where Lance and Matthias Backwards basically school motherfuckers on various topics, which is awesome. If you think you can handle it, which- statistically speaking anyway- you probably can’t, please get yourself a copy. And by all means, come see the band live (where Lance and Matthias will be joined by the destructive tendencies of opera diva La Sinistra [rumored to actually be Jennifer Valle], bassist Dean Ripper [rumored to actually be Dean Rispler], guitarist Thomas Guillotine [rumored to actually be Tom Beaujour], and drummist Markus St. Bastard [rumored to actually be Dave Richman]) for an assault on yours and a lot of other people’s senses. However, whether you decide to kill yourself, go sit in a ditch for a while, or simply stare off into the distance for a disturbingly long amount of time as a result of having done either one of these things that is not Witch Taint’s fucking problem.”
This past spring, Witch Taint began performing as a full, six-member live band (consisting mostly of members found in the darkest recesses of Craigslist) that is so extreme, brutal, grim, unholy, kvlt, and just sort of negative in general that most people can’t even handle it basically even if everyone agrees the Witch Taint T-shirts are pretty awesome and they should really consider keeping more mediums in stock but whatever. This being the case, Witch Taint has scheduled an album release show for April 7 at the Mercury Lounge in NYC.
