Strong melodies and hook lines alongside a very talented shouter - this is top notch! The whole production process was extremely enjoyable. I definitely found some new friends. Thanks a lot guys."

German metallers CALIBAN have released the Iconographic-produced video for the song "Before Later Becomes Never". The track, which features guest vocals by CJ McMahon from THY ART IS MURDER, is taken from CALIBAN's upcoming album, "Elements", which will be released on April 6 via Century Media.
CALIBAN guitarist Marc Görtz had this to say about the album cover: "We used the elements Earth, Air, Fire, and Water as symbols for realization, ideas, power, and emotion. These symbols inspire us to continue to do what we love the most, which is to create, evolve, and be inspired by our music. And these elements directly correspond to the cover art, which was done by Marcel Gadacz. He did the art for 'Gravity', so we're happy to have him back."
For "Elements", CALIBAN brought back longtime collaborator — going all the way back to 2007's "The Awakening" — and studio wizard Benny Richter to co-produce with Görtz at his Nemesis Studios. CALIBAN also hired on German-based Andy Posdziech and buddy Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler, as well as Australian-based Callan Orr to assist in the recording process. "Elements" was mixed by Görtz and mastered by Olman Viper, whose repertoire includes previous CALIBAN albums "I Am Nemesis" (2012), "Ghost Empire" (2014), and "Gravity" (2016).
"The production on 'Elements' was pretty different," says Görtz. "The instrumental side of the production was produced by me, Andy and Callan. Then, Benny and myself worked on fine-tuning the music. The vocals, however, were produced by Benny, with Sushi acting as a vocal coach. We wanted Benny to focus on the vocals and the vocal production. Getting them right was very important to us."

FROM ASHES TO NEW has dropped the official music video for "Crazy", the first single off the band's upcoming album, "The Future", out April 20 via Better Noise Records/Eleven Seven Music.
"Crazy" is the first look into the Philadelphia-based band's revamped lineup and sound. Consisting of founding front man/rapper/programmer Matt Brandyberry, guitarist Lance Dowdle, new vocalist Danny Case and drummer Mat Madiro, the band's chemistry lies at the core of "The Future". An album that sees the band expanding their music palette and taking its blend of rock, hip/hop, pop, and metal to new heights.
"Anxiety made it difficult to write at times but ultimately we came together and decided we were going to write the best music we possibly could and see where that took us," said Brandyberry.
"Crazy" is, at its core, "a song about someone or something driving you absolutely out of your mind and feeling unable to walk away from it", explains Case. "I dated someone for a very short period of time and it felt like everything I said and did was wrong. I thought I was losing my mind because I knew it was a bad situation, but I just felt like I couldn't walk away. I think having that life experience really helped when we sat down and wrote the lyrics."
"The Future" was recorded at Atrium Audio with producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak (AUGUST BURNS RED) and mixed by Josh Wilbur (KORN, LAMB OF GOD), while the video was directed by Raul Gonzo.
"The Future" track listing:
01. Wake Up
02. Crazy
03. My Name
04. Gone Forever
05. Broken
06. Forgotten
07. Enemy
08. Nowhere To Run
09. Let Go

"Letting Go", the new video from Greek guitar virtuoso Gus G., well known in rock and metal circles for his work as Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist and as leader of his own band FIREWIND, can be seen below. The song is taken from Gus's new solo album, "Fearless", which will be released on April 20 via AFM Records. The follow-up to 2015's "Brand New Revolution" marks his first release since exiting Osbourne's band in 2017.
On "Fearless", Gus joins forces with vocalist/bassist Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, UNISONIC) and drummer Will Hunt (EVANESCENCE).
"Dennis and I have collaborated very closely for a number years; he produced the current FIREWIND album, 'Immortals', among other things," Gus described his relationship with the multitalented German-American. "We're on the same musical wavelength and simply continued our cooperation after the FIREWIND production. I sent him demos of and ideas for my new songs and once we had enough material and started to think about vocalists, Dennis suggested recording the album as a trio.
"A lot of people don't realize that Dennis is not only a brilliant songwriter, bassist and producer, but also an excellent singer. I immediately liked his suggestion because this would be very different from everything else I've done before."
It was only a short step from the enlistment of drummer Will Hunt. Gus said: "Will was at the very top of my wish list. Fate smiled on me because we played at the Frankfurt music fair 2017 during my tour with Steve Stevens, and Will stayed at the same hotel. So I approached him, we talked for a while and he agreed. Last August he came to the studio and recorded the drum parts for the whole album within two and a half days. A real pro with a great groove and an awesome punch."
Which applies not only to Hunt and Ward, but of course also to Gus himself, who once again proves to be a phenomenal guitarist on "Fearless", presenting technical skills which exclude all possibility of doubt and a compositional talent that allows his fellow musicians to shine.
Hard-as-nails metal tracks such as the opener "Letting Go", "Mr. Manson", which is driven by a dark bass/guitar riff, and the subsequent melodic "Don't Tread On Me" immediately propel the new album into the desired direction. At the same time, the three instrumental songs give listeners an idea of the outstanding talent of the 37-year-old who is easily on a par with George Lynch ("Mr. Scary") and Michael Schenker ("Into The Arena").
"A lot of fans have asked me to record more instrumental tracks. Voilà, here they are," grins Gus. Last but not least, the successful cover versions of the DIRE STRAITS classic "Money For Nothing", which surprises with an unusual change of key after the noteworthy intro, deserves a mention.
"Fearless" track listing:

Intense rock instrumentation, ethereal and emotional soundscapes by ambient instrumental band God Is An Astronaut await! Since forming 16 years ago, the Irish trio has reigned as one of the premier instrumental groups. Their new album will move you deeply.
“Epitaph” is the first single and the title track of God Is An Astronaut’s upcoming album, out on April 27th via Napalm Records. “Epitaph” sets the album's mood. There is pain and loss at work here, but not pain and loss that are given in to. Sparse piano motifs face energetic rhythm, shimmering guitar coatings, and eruptions of dense fury breathe life into a journey of melancholic longing.
God Is An Astronaut comments on the new video: “We wanted the video to capture the horror, overwhelming grief and the dark reality of an untimely death. The video features post mortem photography as it directly reflects the subject matter. This song touches on everything from childhood innocence (vulnerability) to the moment you are given the shocking news, to the aftermath that faces a family over a tragic loss.”
Watch the video below. Pre-order the new album here.
Medicine Man, the new release by the Canadian heavy metal group Snake Eyes Seven, is set for a March 30th release on HighVolMusic and will be distributed through Amped Distribution. Pre-orders will begin on March 16th. A video for the title track can be found below.

The official video for "To Drink From The Night Itself", the title track of the new album from Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES, can be seem below. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus, who has previously worked with IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY and DIMMU BORGIR, among others.
AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg comments: "So, for the first song to present to the public, we chose the title track of the album, which is also the opening track of the record. To us, this gives a presentation of the attitude of the album: raw, hungry and desperate. It also gives an introduction to the whole concept of the record.
"We live through our art, and the whole album deals with the concept of art. Art as a tool either for revolution, or suppression. To drink from the night itself is just that, a metaphor for living and breathing through art. Of course, the concept goes deeper than that, but this song is the heart of the concept, the fierce call to arms so to say. We are still at war, but this time we are fighting the abyss, the abyss of apathy and oppression. It is an aggressive song, but also contains a lot of the other elements of the band's sound on this record. Melancholia, desperation and struggle.
"For the first video, we chose to use Patric Ullaeus again, as he is good at capturing the raw energy of the band playing live. In the video you can also see glimpses of the art used for the cover, so it binds it all together nicely."
"To Drink From The Night Itself" will be released on May 18 via Century Media. Produced with Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, THE HAUNTED, DIMMU BORGIR) at Parlour Studios in the U.K., the follow-up 2014's "At War With Reality" will feature conceptual artwork created by Twilight 13 Media's Costin Chioreanu, who previously worked with AT THE GATES on the band's last disc.
Lindberg comments: "It has once again been an absolute pleasure working creativily with Costin.
"We had a lot of ideas for what we wanted to get across with the art this time around. Overall they were, not surprisingly, related to the general concept of the record.
"What is great with Costin is that he understands the band. He knows what we are and where we come from. And me and him also have a strong artistic connection.
"I have never met anyone that goes so deep into the world of my lyrics and concepts. When I first wrote to him describing my ideas, I was worried that my remarks were perhaps too long and too confusing, only to get back an even longer and very inspired response…
"The inspiration for the actual front cover piece is taken from the Pergamon Altar, on display at the Pergamon museum in Berlin. It is, of course, linked closely to the concept that the whole record is based upon, but more on that later. But I will throw a name out there, for the interested ones; Peter Weiss.
"I can't wait to get the whole record in my hands now, as this is just one of the many great artwork pieces that Costin has created for us on 'To Drink From The Night Itself'..."

Lindberg recently spoke to Decibel magazine about how the departure of longtime AT THE GATES guitarist and primary songwriter Anders Björler has affected the band's sound. "It is true that there is a big shift in the lineup," he said. "What you have to take into consideration is that Jonas Björler [bass] wrote 40 percent of both 'Slaughter Of The Soul' and 'At War With Reality'. Some people seem to forget this. They just assume that the lead guitarist is the sole songwriter. Jonas had to take a lot more responsibility this time around, but me and him have had a really great and creative time writing this album. There is a slight change of direction, maybe, but AT THE GATES fans shouldn't be worried — it is still an AT THE GATES record. If anything, it is heavier and more death metal than the last one."
Lindberg said that new AT THE GATES guitarist Jonas Stålhammar came into the band too late to be involved in the composing process for the new disc. "This one is basically Jonas [Björler] and me when it comes to the writing. All the guys have contributed in some way, but the main writing comes from Jonas and me. Most of the songs were already in the finishing stages when Jonas Stålhammar joined, so there wasn't much time for him to contribute, but we look forward to having him more involved next time around. Saying that, his solos will, of course, be written by himself."

"The Condemned", the new video from Swedish metallers ENGEL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's fifth studio album, "Abandon All Hope", which will be released on May 11 via Gain.

The collaboration was fruitful, resulting in what is probably ENGEL's strongest album to date.
Engelin comments: "When people hear this album, I think they're going to instantly know that it's the new ENGEL without us repeating the same song over and over, and that's something the band is incredibly proud of."
"Abandon All Hope" track listing:
01. The Darkest Void
02. The Legacy Of Nothing
03. Book Of Lies
04. As I Fall

The new lineup of the legendary American thrash metal band EXHORDER made its live debut on February 9 at the St. Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York. Official video footage of the "Legions Of Death" performance from the concert can be seen below.
EXHORDER now features founding members Vinnie LaBella (guitar) and Kyle Thomas (vocals) along with Jason Viebrooks (HEATHEN) on bass, Marzi Montazeri (ex-SUPERJOINT RITUAL, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS) on guitar and Sasha Horn (FORBIDDEN) on drums.
Thomas told The Metal Crypt that "it's really kind of odd" how the EXHORDER reformation happened. "We had been gradually talking again after many years of not seeing each other too much, and one night we were at a Corey Feldman concert, of all places," he said. "It just kind of popped up where we were like, 'Do you want to?' and the other guy said, 'Yeah, sure.' It was just about that boring."
Thomas also talked about EXHORDER's latest additions, explaining: "Jason has been a friend of ours since the '90s, and he has a long history of being involved with EXHORDER. It always seemed like he was around right before we broke up, so maybe he is the problem. [Laughs] Seriously though, Jason and Vinnie started YEAR OF THE TYRANT with Sasha Horn, which Dan Nelson [formerly of ANTHRAX] has now joined. Marzi invited me to collaborate with him in HEAVY AS TEXAS and we played one show last year. We are currently recording an album together. Marzi jumped on board recently, and the two bands kind of merged into an EXHORDER reformation. Weird, but it will be amazing."
EXHORDER is planning on making several festival appearances during the summer.
Kyle confirmed that if the upcoming shows go well, there are plans for EXHORDER to play more concerts and possibly even work on new music. "We are going to gauge the interest level before we go crazy booking a lot of shows, but the more we get into this, the more it seems likely that a lot will happen with new material eventually surfacing," he said. "It's pretty exciting having it unfold before our eyes." As for what a new EXHORDER album may sound like, Kyle said: "We would want it to be deserving of the EXHORDER logo on the front of anything we release. We owe that to the EXHORDER fanbase. We owe that to ourselves also. I have a pretty good feeling it will not disappoint."
EXHORDER relased two albums in the early 1990s through the Roadrunner label — 1990's "Slaughter in the Vatican" and 1992's "The Law" — before breaking up, with Kyle going on to form FLOODGATE and also briefly appearing live as the vocalist for TROUBLE, which he later joined on a full-time basis (and is still a member of).
EXHORDER is cited by many as the originators of the riff-heavy power-groove approach popularized by PANTERA.
Turbowolf have released their new single "Cheap Magic", the latest track from their upcoming album, The Free Life, out March 9th via So Recordings. Find the clip below.
Frontman Chris Georgiadis says, "Our latest song release from our new album The Free Life springs out of the hat in the form of 'Cheap Magic.' A song conjured up specially for our times; whether they be good, bad or most likely, entirely made up. Plus as a bonus, we're incredibly happy to have our friend Sebastien Grainger from Death From Above do some singing on it too. You're welcome."
"Cheap Magic" opens with an unrelenting guitar riff, drenched in near speaker-breaking levels of distortion, propelling the track into stratospheric aural majesty amid reverb-laden vocal whispers. It then explodes into its blistering verse and anthemic chorus, with vocoder saturated lyrics casting the spell of "Cheap Magic" over the track.
The video sees both the band and Grainger performing in a psychedelic, lo-fi nightmare, which lures the viewer into a deep trip of breakneck sonic extravagance which comes in at just under three minutes. A recurring theme in the band's music, the track highlights their interest in magic, including the mystical practice of numerology, ancient civilizations, and the theories of Graham Hancock, which are regularly referenced lyrically in addition to pearls of ancient esoteric philosophy.
"We, like you, enjoy a plethora of thoughts and ideas, and heartily drink them into our bellies, where they congeal and effect our outpourings. These ingredients can come from the most visible sources or from the most invisible. Some of the most invisible ones taste the best, so sometimes we binge on them and get fat," explains Chris.
"Cheap Magic" is the third single to be taken from the band’s upcoming album, The Free Life. It follows "Domino," which featured Mike Kerr of Royal Blood and earned support from the likes of Sir Elton John, who described them as "fabulous!"
The Free Life is a vibrant masterpiece for this fractured era, as Turbowolf push back the boundaries of music with ambition in their heads and disruption in their hearts. Pre-order here.

"No No No"
"Capital X"
"Cheap Magic"
"Very Bad"
"Halfsecret"
"Domino"
"Last Three Clues"

EPICA keyboardist Coen Janssen comments: "It has been a great pleasure working with the talented Davide Cilloni on this unique video trilogy.

Australian metal band PARKWAY DRIVE has released a new single, "Wishing Wells". The track is PARKWAY DRIVE's first new offering since the band's massively successful and critically praised 2015 album "Ire".
Opening with ominous vocals and haunting acoustic guitar, "Wishing Wells" soon erupts into a furious and full-throttle metal assault. Captured in one shot, its starkly filmed video marks a deep departure from PARKWAY DRIVE's usual high-production aesthetic. The video features frontman Winston McCall giving a powerful close-up performance of "Wishing Wells" with fierce intensity.
According to PARKWAY DRIVE — McCall, guitarists Luke Kilpatrick and Jeff Ling, bassist Jia O'Connor, and drummer Ben Gordon — "Wishing Wells" is a meditation on the pain and confusion of loss.
"'Wishing Wells' is the compression of grief into song," says McCall. "It's attempting to place blame when there is none, seeking answers where there is only emptiness, and ultimately trying to find some kind of reason and meaning to justify the ultimate loss we will all be faced with in life. This is how this chapter begins and will end."
Industrial metal pioneers MINISTRY have releases a surreal and provocative new music video for the track "Twilight Zone" from the band's upcoming album, "AmeriKKKant", due out March 9 (Nuclear Blast). Building upon the themes of the song, the "Twilight Zone" video takes the viewer on a macabre excursion through the current U.S. news media climate of misinformation, corporate propaganda and hypocritical slander.
"We are in completely uncharted territory now," said MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen, "witnessing the unraveling of what was once a functional democracy. Our government is under attack. Our planet is under attack. It's time for a major reboot."
The video was filmed last December just outside of Los Angeles and features MINISTRY guitarists Sin Quirin and Cesar Soto, Tony Campos (FEAR FACTORY, STATIC-X) on bass, keyboardist John Bechdel (KILLING JOKE, FEAR FACTORY), live scratcher DJ Swamp (BECK, THE CRYSTAL METHOD), and Derek Abrams on drums. Guest appearances are made by Gray Wolf, president of American Indian Movement (AIM), the internationally renowned and idiosyncratic Lord of the Cello, and an army of MINISTRY supporters who participated in the band's PledgeMusic "AmeriKKKant" pre-order campaign.
The "Twilight Zone" video was produced by Chris Roth and Steve Roth for The Other House production company, the same group that produced Jourgensen's previous music video, "I'm Invisible", for his 2016 SURGICAL METH MACHINE release. Chris Roth also directed the "Twilight Zone" video with Steve Roth as director of photography and editor.
Said Chris Roth: "I'm a lifelong fan of the band and very politically active. Not only was this an opportunity to collaborate creatively once again with the one and only Al Jourgensen, but also an outlet for much of my pent-up aggression and frustration regarding the current state of politics in our country."
MINISTRY's provocateur-in-chief Al Jourgensen has assembled an ultra-cool number of all-star guest musicians for the band's 2018 North American tour that kicks off March 22 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. The tour's guest lineup will feature vocalist Burton C. Bell (FEAR FACTORY), drummer Joey Jordison (ex-SLIPKNOT, VIMIC), and live scratcher DJ Swamp (BECK, THE CRYSTAL METHOD), who will join longtime bandmembers Quirin and Soto on guitars, Campos on bass, and Bechdel.
Worhol is a female fronted symphonic rock band out of Texas, but some mistake them for a European band because of their overall sound and appearance. The band delivers a unique style of dark, theatrical, orchestral music that showcases Ashley Worhol’s dynamic mellifluous voice.
Worhol is taking 2018 head on with a brand new music video that was filmed in Los Angeles, California by Multi Mojo Productions for their latest single titled “Already Forgotten”, and plan to release their EP later this year.
"Already Forgotten is a song about understanding your own self-worth and having the courage to know what you deserve. This is a personal topic for me and we knew when we were in the stages of filming that we wanted to incorporate more of a movie based video to help bring awareness to the subject of abuse. No one truly knows what someone might be going through behind closed doors. It is so important for people to know that help is out there," says Ashley Worhol.
Worhol formed in 2013 when lead singer Ashley Worhol and her father Larry Worhol decided they wanted to follow their dream together as a team. Both having degrees in music and a classical background, they knew that they had the knowledge it would take in writing their style of music.
Worhol’s music can be best described as symphonic and theatrical with Larry being the guitarist as well as the orchestral composer, and Ashley being professionally trained. Since Ashley and Larry are kin to Andy Warhol they decided to keep the band name in the family. Once Worhol was set they reached out and found the rest of the members of the band; Craig Malinowski (bassist) and Marty Naul (drummer).
In addition, Ashley recently published a hybrid poetry / photography book called, Perception.
She will be attending Comic Cons such as Wizard World and Days Of The Dead on the following dates:
