ELUVEITIE: Another New Song Available For Streaming

A brand new ELUVEITIE song entitled "Kingdom Come Undone" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the Swiss folk metal group's new album, "Everything Remains (As It Never Was)", which is scheduled for release on February 19 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed at Nott-In Pill studios in Wales with Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, KREATOR, BEHEMOTH, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and Martyn "Ginge" Ford.

Commented the band's mainman, Chrigel Glanzmann: "Here comes the second song off our upcoming album we'd like to present you 'Kingdom Come Undone'! One of our harsher tracks, where juggernautish riffs meet with onrushing folkmelodies. And exactly the same furious character also lies in the lyrics.

"The song deals with Vercingetorix, a gaulish freedom fighter who lived in the time of the gaulish war. His endeavour was to unite the gaulish clans.

"The song presents you a passionate speech, like he probably could have held it in front of assembled gaulish chieftains. In that sense: This is V... for Vercingetorix!"

LOCK UP To Release Split 7\" Single With BRUTAL TRUTH; New Album In The Works

Grindcore supergroup LOCK UP will enter the studio in the next month to record new material to be included on a split seven-inch single with U.S. grind merchants BRUTAL TRUTH. The almost mythical extreme metal behemoth — AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg, Anton Reisenegger of PENTAGRAM and CRIMINAL on guitar, NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury and ex-DIMMU BORGIR and TESTAMENT drummer Nick Barker — is also busy writing material for an as-yet-untitled new full-length album, due for release later this year.

Commented Barker:"After very successful performance at the Damnation festival in Leeds last October, and after an eight-year haitus with almost a decade past since we last played in the U.K., LOCK UP have decided to write a new album and play selective dates (mostly festival appearances) throughout this year and 2011 in support of the new record.

"Although at this point it's still unclear which record label will pick up the band's third studio release, there is plenty of interest from a number of independent labels.

"I won't bore anyone with the usual spin of 'It's the best, heaviest or fastest material we've ever written,' but what I will say is the new material is totally relentless and very punishing, more so than our previous efforts... If brutal is your thing, then you will love it."

IN THIS MOMENT \'Furiously Working On New Songs\'

Southern California's female-fronted rock act IN THIS MOMENT will enter the studio mid-February with producer Kevin Churko (who worked with the band on 2008's "The Dream") to begin recording its third album for a tentative June release via Century Media Records. Guitarist Chris Howorth states, "As I write this, we are furiously working on new songs for our upcoming CD, due out this summer.

"We made a decision early on that this was gonna be a darker/heavier album than its predecessor, 'The Dream', and we are so stoked on the new ideas we have been coming up with. Some of these songs are pure groove metal — it's so heavy — and the best part is that Maria Brink [vocals] and I are actually agreeing on a lot of this heavy stuff, where in the past there was a lot of clashing between us.

"We can't wait to unleash the new material on our fans and everyone else around the world."

ETERNAL REIGN has parted ways with its record label, LMP/Diversity Media, "due to musical differences." As a result, the group's already completed third album, "The Dawn Of Reckoning", will be delayed until ETERNAL REIGN finds a new label home.

EYES OF NOCTUM, the California-based black metal band fronted by Weston "Arcane" Coppola Cage (19-year-old son of actor Nicolas Cage), has parted ways with bassist Shawn (a.k.a. Moloch). The group is currently seeking a replacement.

ALTARS OF DESTRUCTION Putting Finishing Touches On New Album

Legendary Finnish thrashers ALTARS OF DESTRUCTION are in the studio putting the finishing touches on their new album, "Gallery Of Pain", due later in the year. Several new tracks are currently streaming on the band's MySpace page, including "Children Of Misfortune", "Cross The Line Of No Return", "Suicide Are You Insane?", "Aggression" and "Day Of Judgement".

The "Gallery Of Pain" artwork (see below) was created by Juha Vuorma, who also designed covers for the first three KALMAH albums and for USURPER and METUJA, among others.

PRIESTESS: Entire New Album Available For Streaming

"Prior to the Fire", the sophomore album from Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based hard rockers PRIESTESS, is available for streaming in its entirety at this location. Due on February2 via New York City's Tee Pee Records, the CD was recorded in Los Angeles with producer David Schiffman (SYSTEM OF A DOWN, THE MARS VOLTA, NINE INCH NAILS) and it "underlines PRIESTESS' hard-hitting songwriting, memorable hooks and earth-shaking ability to rock," according to a press release. The long-awaited follow up to 2006's critically acclaimed debut "Hello Master" sees PRIESTESS at once hungry, fierce and focused. The record's majestic power merges titanic riffs, memorable metal, progressive rock and hard psych elements with the powerful, expressive vocals of Mikey Heppner to create an album that will floor heavy music fans.

"It wasn't the easiest record to make," says Heppner, "but the hard work definitely paid off and we're really, really proud of the end result. We've done so much touring and seen so much since our first record that it only galvanized our feelings of what the band is. Former AFTER FOREVER Guitarist Joins DORO

DORO, the band led by German metal queen Doro Pesch (WARLOCK), has announced the addition of former AFTER FOREVER guitarist Bas Maas to the group's ranks. The Dutch axeman successfully performed with DORO as a fill-in guitarist during the band's April 2009 U.K. tour and passed his baptism of fire in front of 80,000 fans at last year's Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.

THE ACACIA STRAIN: \'Dr. Doom\' Performance Clip From Forthcoming DVD Posted Online

A performance clip of the song "Dr. Doom" from Massachusetts-based metallic juggernauts THE ACACIA STRAIN can be viewed at this location. The footage is taken from the band's long-anticipated debut DVD, "The Most Known Unknown", which is scheduled for release on February 16 via Prosthetic Records.

Disc one documents a sold-out show at the Worcester Palladium shot in December 2008, while disc two contains footage of a show at the much smaller and more intimate Waterfront on the band's home turf of Holyoke, Massachusetts, as well as three music videos, a documentary covering the formative years of the band and a "10 Seconds of Fame" bonus segment, in which select fans were given 10 seconds on camera to do whatever they wanted.

"The Most Known Unknown" features cover art by Paul Romano, who was also responsible for the cover of THE ACACIA STRAIN's latest album, "Continent", as well as covers for MASTODON, TRIVIUM and many more.

A "The Most Known Unknown" pre-order is now available, as well as a bundle featuring an exclusive t-shirt.

To celebrate the release, the band will throw a preview party at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 12 at the Worcester Palladium Upstairs, which will consist of a screening of the DVD as well as a special live performance from the band.

TESTAMENT To Peform Entire \'The Legacy\' Album On MEGADETH/EXODUS Tour

MEGADETH will join forces with TESTAMENT and EXODUS for a month-long North American tour that will find these thrash titans crisscrossing the nation on the "Rust in Peace" 20th anniversary tour. These will be incredibly special shows that will delight Megadeth fans, as the band will be playing its landmark, genre-defining album, 1990's "Rust in Peace", in its entirety, in addition to other MEGADETH set list favorites.

TESTAMENT, will perform its first-ever album, "The Legacy", in its entirety during the trek . In this monsterously massive celebration of metal, TESTAMENT felt it was time to throw down the gauntlet and bring people back to the roots of their visceral and vice-tight music, re-invoking songs which helped lay the foundation for a thrash generation. "We wanted to give the fans something different," says frontman Chuck Billy. "We wanted to play these songs which have not been played since we've been touring [the latest TESTAMENT album] 'The Formation Of Damnation'."

"I can't believe that we wrote this stuff when we are 17, 18, and 19 years old," says TESTAMENT guitarist Eric Peterson. "Although 'Formation…' stands on its own, we cannot even write music today like we did back then. 'The Legacy' will always be our legacy."

Refreshingly brutal, yet steeped in clever melodic twists, "The Legacy" was a scene-busting statement of intent by Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and drummer Louie Clemente. And with classic pit-starters such as "Over The Wall", "Burnt Offerings" and "First Strike Is Deadly" creating human froth with genuine songwriting prowess, "The Legacy" set TESTAMENT up to take the thrash metal world by storm in the coming years.

"These are the first nine songs we put together," says Billy proudly. "This is what started the band, so we wanted to go back and give the fans a chance to not only get back to metal's roots, but to feel the force of TESTAMENT's roots at the same time." "And it's no wonder with a foundation like that we are still here today," adds Peterson.

EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt adds, "I am so stoked to be a part of this tour with our long-time friends MEGADETH and TESTAMENT! This will prove to be a thrash metal wet dream and I cannot wait to get the party started and hit the road on this beast of a tour! It's been about six years since we last toured with MEGADETH and after all these long years, this will be our first with TESTAMENT, so I for one am fired up! Let the bloodbath begin!"

The tour will kick off on March 1 in Spokane, Washington and will run through the end of the month.

DAVE RUDE BAND: \'Fallin\' Down\' Video Released

"Fallin' Down", the new video from DAVE RUDE BAND — the group led by the TESLA guitarist — can be viewed below. Bison Filmmakers shot and produced the clip, which was directed by Nate Wanzek (STEEL PANTHER).

"My favorite videos are usually the ones that are there to enhance the song, regardless of any sort of storyline," says Rude. "In keeping with that idea, we decided to shoot a video that loosely follows the lyrics of the song, but isn't an exact depiction of the song. Just something to get you pumped up while you're listening to it.

"Nate and the Bison guys really did a great job making that a reality on film. You really get a feel for the vibe of the song when you watch the video and we're super-proud of it."

Rude previously stated about the band's latest EP, "Carry Me Home": "Our new stuff sounds like SHINEDOWN doing shots with BUCKCHERRY at a KINGS OF LEON after-party. We're really stoked to finally have a CD that represents where we're at musically."

DELIVERANCE Celebrating 25th Anniversary

Christian thrash metal veterans DELIVERANCE will celebrate their 25th anniversary this year with a couple of new releases and live appearances.

Up first will be a brand new studio album, "The Annals of Subterfuge", due later in the year through Retroactive Records. Also in the works is "Temporary Insanity - A Salute to Deliverance", a two-CD all-star tribute to DELIVERANCE from Roxx Records, in conjunction with the Christian Metal Realm (CMR). The disc will feature many special guest artists and contributions from current and past members of THE CRUCIFIED, DELIVERANCE, VENGEANCE RISING, DARK ANGEL, DARKNESS FALLS and many more. "Temporary Insanity" will also include a brand new recording from DELIVERANCE — the 25th-anniversary edition of "Flesh and Blood", completely redone and re-recorded.

Plans are afoot to bring DELIVERANCE to the fans live this year. Shows in California and Pennsylvania are currently being booked and the band is currently entertaining a few other fly-in dates as well as some festival appearances.

DEMON HUNTER: \'The World Is A Thorn\' Track Listing Revealed

Seattle-based Christian metallers DEMON HUNTER will release their new album, "The World Is A Thorn", on March 9. The band's fifth album follows the landmark documentary "45 Days", last year's "Live In Nashville" collection and a catalog of landmark releases that have made the band one of the most important in the genre.

"The World Is A Thorn" was produced by the band's longtime collaborator Aaron Sprinkle (ACCEPTANCE, ANBERLIN, THE ALMOST) and mixed by powerhouse producer Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM). CINDERELLA \'In Heavy Rehearsal\' For Upcoming Tour

According to Bring Back Glam!, CINDERELLA's manager Tim Heyne has confirmed that the band will embark on a full-fledged tour in 2010. Writing on the group's official web site this past weekend, Heyne said, "It is with great excitement that CINDERELLA announces the band's return to the concert road in 2010!!! The band has been in heavy rehearsal the past two months and has never sounded better...or Tom Keifer's voice stronger! Look for dates, and a tour, to be announced very, very shortly!"

HATECORE INC Completes Recording New Album

Akron, Ohio-based hardcore/metal band HATECORE INC has finished recording its new album titled "Rise Above All". The CD was tracked by Cole Martinez (SYSTEM DIVIDE) at Conquistador Studios in Cleveland, Ohio and is tentatively due this spring through guitarist/founder Kris Dann's soon-to-be-launched record label.

HATECORE INC is currently auditioning drummers before the band hits the road this summer in support of the new CD.

HATECORE INC's debut EP, titled "This Pure Hatred", came out in 2005 through Detained Records. The band spent much of 2006-2008 touring its region in support on the release.

EDGUY To Support SCORPIONS In Germany

German melodic metallers EDGUY will support the SCORPIONS on the German leg of their upcoming tour.

Comments EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet: "It is a real big honor for us to have been invited by the biggest German rock band ever to be the special guest on their German tour.
