SABATON Launches “The War To End All Wars” Lyric Video

Sabaton has launched another lyric video to support their latest album, The Great War. Check out “The War To End All Wars” below:

Historic fact regarding the song:

“At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the end of the war to end all wars transpired with the signing of the Armistice of Compiègne in 1918, which was superseded the following year by the Treaty of Versailles, but still the damage had been done, the impact of The Great War was felt around the globe. 15-19 million perished, almost half of them civilians, with another 23 million wounded. Old empires collapsed, new countries were formed, and other countries gained independence. World power changed hands and an entire generation of ideological young men and women was lost, many to the permanence of death and the survivors to disillusionment and cynicism, ‘The Lost Generation.’”

The Sabaton History Channel has released Episode 057 - "Poltava" - The Great Northern War.

A message states: "Bullets break the silent air, a wasted battleplan! It was a long and harsh march through the lands in the east, where the Swedish army of Charles XII sought to bring the Russian Empire to its knees. The Swedish king had the vision of a great victory, in which he captured Moscow and destroyed Tsar Peter I's ambitions once and for all. However, as in late June 1709, the exhausted and hungry Swedish troops finally met the Tsar in open battle near the fortress of Poltava, it all seemed impossible. A relentless and fateful battle would commence. A battle after which only one empire would continue to rise while the other would fall."

Sabaton recently released Episode 6 of their ongoing The Great Tour Vlog, stating: "In Episode 6 of The Great Tour vlogs Joakim demonstrates some hidden magic skills and Pär is your host and guide in Amsterdam, showing you some of the special effects we use on stage! In London, Sabaton receive a very special award i for something many people didn't think it would ever happen... All of these in Episode 6 of The Great Tour Vlogs. Thank you Paris, London, Amsterdam for 3 fantastic show nights - see for yourself!"

NAGLFAR: Music Video For 'Cerecloth' Title Track

The official music video for "Cerecloth", the title track of the seventh full-length album from Umeå, Sweden's black metal nihilists NAGLFAR, can be seen below. The disc will be released on May 8 via Century Media Records.

NAGLFAR comments: "We are proud to hereby reveal the title track from our upcoming album. 'Cerecloth' marks our first cooperation with Umeå-based Arevärn Film, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. This is a perfect presentation of what NAGLFAR is about in the year 2020. We hope that you will enjoy."

"Cerecloth" was recorded and mixed by NAGLFAR guitarist Marcus Norman at Wolf's Lair Studio and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound. The underlying musical and lyrical themes of "Cerecloth" were succinctly and confidently described by guitarist Andreas Nilsson as "the usual death and destruction".

Judging from Andreas's curt description, and the grim, ghostly cover art from the renowned artist Kristian Wåhlin and layout by Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design, certain death is exactly what listeners will experience with "Cerecloth".

"Cerecloth" track listing:

01. Cerecloth

02. Horns

03. Like Poison For The Soul

04. Vortex Of Negativity

05. Cry Of The Serafim

06. The Dagger In Creation

07. A Sanguine Tide Unleashed

08. Necronaut

09. Last Breath Of Yggdrasil

Century Media Records is thrilled to announce that NAGLFAR has inked a new deal with collective corpse water that is extending the long-term relationship. Philipp Schulte, director of Century Media Records, states: "NAGLFAR and Century Media have a long history and a close bond since 2003 and with the release of the album 'Sheol' the band and the label have worked together. We are very happy to continue this great cooperation for future album releases. The time has come: With 'Cerecloth', NAGLFAR finally returns! We are stoked to release this beast of a real melodic black metal album from the far North of Sweden. Thank you, guys, for your trust throughout all these years. Stand as one for battles to come."

NAGLFAR states about the re-signing: "There were never any doubts when approached by the Century Media family about extending our cooperation. One can't ask for a better label and we look forward to unleash 'Cerecloth' upon the world."

NAGLFAR is:

Kristoffer W. Olivius - Vocals

Andreas Nilsson - Guitar

Marcus E. Norman - Guitar

Indiana’s WITCH TAINT To Release Sons Of Midwestern Darkness In April; “Sons Of Satan” Video Streaming

From the mean streets of Gary, Indiana by way of Oslo, Norway (or maybe the other way around- we’re not sure) comes Witch Taint, the most extremely extreme and Satanic Norwegian Black Metal band from Indiana ever probably and you can ask anyone.

The band’s full-length debut Sons Of Midwestern Darkness, recorded entirely in darkness in a damp room that was also annoyingly cold even if you wore a coat and a hat and stuff the whole time, will be released by New York City’s Tee Pee Records on April 10.

The band has dropped a video for the first single from the album “Sons Of Satan”, which is streaming below.

A press release states: “Sons Of Midwestern Darkness, is extremely difficult to listen to in all the best ways and features guest appearances from members of such not-nearly-as-extreme-as-Witch Taint bands as Venom, Carpathian Forest, and Autopsy and also Lance’s dog Lucifuge because they forgot to keep the basement door shut even though she will end up coming down there every single time no matter what. Sons Of Midwestern Darkness is a 12 song collection of extremely grim yet very catchy and danceable heavy metal anthems that are perfect to get hammered and sing along to with all your closest friends and enemies. There are also five extremely extreme interludes where Lance and Matthias Backwards basically school motherfuckers on various topics, which is awesome. If you think you can handle it, which- statistically speaking anyway- you probably can’t, please get yourself a copy. And by all means, come see the band live (where Lance and Matthias will be joined by the destructive tendencies of opera diva La Sinistra [rumored to actually be Jennifer Valle], bassist Dean Ripper [rumored to actually be Dean Rispler], guitarist Thomas Guillotine [rumored to actually be Tom Beaujour], and drummist Markus St. Bastard [rumored to actually be Dave Richman]) for an assault on yours and a lot of other people’s senses. However, whether you decide to kill yourself, go sit in a ditch for a while, or simply stare off into the distance for a disturbingly long amount of time as a result of having done either one of these things that is not Witch Taint’s fucking problem.”

This past spring, Witch Taint began performing as a full, six-member live band (consisting mostly of members found in the darkest recesses of Craigslist) that is so extreme, brutal, grim, unholy, kvlt, and just sort of negative in general that most people can’t even handle it basically even if everyone agrees the Witch Taint T-shirts are pretty awesome and they should really consider keeping more mediums in stock but whatever.  This being the case, Witch Taint has scheduled an album release show for April 7 at the Mercury Lounge in NYC.

Tracklisting:

“Introduction”
“We Are Your New Gods”
“Interlude Black Metal VS Death Metal”
“Death To Death Metal”
“Sons Of Satan”

CRASH MIDNIGHT Releases New Single “Don’t Need Your Advice”

Las Vegas-based rockers Crash Midnight have returned with their new single, “Don’t Need Your Advice”. Stream the track on Spotify. “Don’t Need Your Advice” follows-up previous singles “Chinatown”, “Another Day In Hell”, and “Diamond Boulevard”.

Vocalist Shaun Soho tells BraveWords about the new single:

“This song actually came out of a previous label of ours telling us ‘bands should just keep quiet and trust the label’ when we asked to see receipts for all the expenses they were claiming against our earnings ...because, you know, that's never come back to bite a band before (laughs). Turned out they were faking a lot of expenses and making up numbers to fulfill their marketing budget agreement for the album.

“That got us going on so many of the people we've come across during our career - and man, it was usually those inept, lower level ‘name dropper’ sort of guys who for some reason are always trying to feed their own egos and get younger bands to kiss their asses in the hopes they might do something for their careers.  But all their ‘connections’ ever amount to is attempts to get their hands into band's pockets with shady deals and false promises.

“So this is an anthem for all the people who've ever tried to tell you what to do or how to live your life. The ones that try to control and manipulate people into being what they want you to be. This one's for them.  We don't need you hanging around and we ‘Don't Need Your Advice!’

“Rock ‘n’ roll!”

HEAVEN SHALL BURN Release Action Packed Music Video For New Single "Eradicate"

"Eradicate” marks the next single release before Heaven Shall Burn’s new double album, Of Truth And Sacrifice, drops on March 20 worldwide.

For the official music video for “Eradicate”, the band teamed up with African film producer Isaac Nabwana at Wakaliwood, aka Ramon Film productions, who is known for his unique and ultra-violent movies.

“We are big fans of Isaac Nabwana. His energy, creativity and his uncompromisingness to chase his dreams to create new perspectives and improvements for his environment is absolutely unique and inspiring. A few years ago I read an article about him and his movie called Who Killed Captain Alex?, which was incredibly fascinating. I followed his work ever since. It is a great honor to become part of the Wakaliwood set. Those few minutes of the charming action-movie-madness means more to us than any other shiny Hollywood video clip. While working with Isaac we instantly felt like young boys again, who are seeing a Schwarzenegger or Bud Spencer movie for the first time. It was immensely important to us to get an authentic Wakaliwood video. The chance to work with the legendary VJ-Emmie as an commentator made it even more special to us." - Maik Weichert

ELVENKING Postpone Divination Tour As Vocalist Recovers From Complicated Surgery

With a heavy heart, Italian folk metal heroes Elvenking announce that they have to postpone their Divination Tour, originally planned for April 2020. Tickets for all shows stay valid.

The band states: "It is with a sad heart that we have to announce the postponement of our upcoming Divination Tour. As some of you might already know, Damna, our vocalist, had to undergo surgery in order to fight his long time battle with Crohn's Disease. It should have been quite an ordinary operation, but the situation was more complicated than expected. Everything went well, but this means that he will have to take a couple of months of total rest in order to heal and fully restore. It is sad that we have to temporarily cancel the tour but our booking agency is already re-scheduling it. The first five shows are already confirmed and more info will come later on. We really hope this won't cause any problem to who was planning to come and see us on this tour, we know we can count on your understanding and support.“

The first five shows are already confirmed:

November
30 - Bratislava, Slovakia - Randal Club

December
1 - Graz, Austria - Explosiv
2 - Munich, Germany - Backstage
3 - Weinheim, Germany - Café Central
4 - Prague, Czech Republic - Noca Chmelnice

More live dates will be announced soon, stay tuned and keep an eye on the official band channels for more information.

M.I.GOD. Perform Live Cover Of DURAN DURAN's "Ordinary World"; Fan-Filmed Video From A LIFE DIVIDED Support Tour Available

German prog metallers M.I.GOD. recently wrapped a short support tour with A Life Divided. Fan-filmed video from the tour, which includes a live cover of the Duran Duran classic "Ordinary World" is available below.

M.I.GOD. released an official video for the song "Tears Of Today" last year, taken from their new concept album Specters On Parade (see below). Speaking with BraveWords, vocalist / founder Max Chemnitz discussed being labelled progressive metal, Savatage’s Streets album, and Queensrÿche’s Operation: Mindcrime.

On M.I.GOD. being labelled progressive metal:

"It doesn't bother me, but I don't like categorizing a band's sound. It has turned into a real problem. You can say 'Specters On Parade is old school thrash metal...' and there are some typical characteristics of that sound that we do not have, so we are not old school thrash metal. I think M.I.GOD. is a mix of everything, so the sound of the band isn't easily put into a box."

On Queensrÿche’s critically acclaimed epic, Operation: Mindcrime:

"It came out in 1988 when metal fans like me and you went to the record store, and I bought it without hearing a note from it because I love Rage For Order. I put it on the record player and that intro.... man, cool and creepy (laughs). And as the album played it was almost like too much information. There was so much to process, I didn't get it the first time. My ears weren't that well educated yet (laughs). I got into Queensrÿche when they put out Rage For Order, not The Warning like everyone else. It honestly took five or six years for my mind to be open enough for Operation: Mindcrime, where it was at a point where I loved it as much and knew it as well as Rage For Order."

On the Specters On Parade outro ("Terminus Life") being inspired by the "I remember you" outro on Queensrÿche’s  "Eyes Of A Stranger":

"Well.... yeah (laughs). I can't deny that."

On Savatage's classic concept album, Streets:

"I was a big fan of Savatage when they were active and I bought every record. I'm a huge fan of the Gutter Ballet album. Street is a really cool concept album, the songs are great, but the production is terrible. I hate the production of that record because it sounds so flat. They should really remaster it or do it again."

VOODOO GODS Feat. GEORGE "CORPSEGRINDER" FISHER And VICTOR SMOLSKI Release "The Ritual Of Thorn" Digital Single; Audio Streaming

When death metal icons like George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, guitar virtuoso Viktor Smolski, bass titan Jean Baudin and guitar god Jacek Hiro join together to form a death metal band, it reads like the membership list of the Metal Hall of Fame. This is the case with Voodoo Gods and therefore this band can be called a death metal supergroup without exaggeration.

The second studio album. The Divinity Of Blood, from this all-star band (which attaches great importance not to be called a side project) will be released on May 15 via Reaper Entertainment. Today, the band presents the first digital single, "The Ritual Of Thorn". The song is available on all major streaming plaforms now.

The official music video will be released soon, but you can hear the track now.

The band states: "This is our first single from 'The Divinity Of Blood' album called 'The Ritual Of Thorn' ; the song is about Damien Thorn and the Parousia; his arrival to earth and the human downfall."

The album was produced by King Diamond's Andy La Rocque, who also took care of the mixing and mastering of the record. The result is a huge and powerful death/thrash metal album which combines influences from voodooism, rituals and anti-Christian forces.

Victor Smolski states: "I can't wait to see the reactions, The Divinity Of Blood will have few surprises guitar-wise and some solos, never heard before in congregation with death metal."

Mastermind Alex Voodoo adds: "I think the Divinity Of Blood will have a weird and ineffable impact; there are musical and ritual alliances within our realm, stuff to trigger enthusiasm as well as creeps."

Andy LaRocque comments: "I had a great time working with this great musicians; great songs, great guys. I hope to work with them again soon!!!"

BIF NAKED Releases New Single / Video "Jim" - "A Song About That Disillusionment We All Feel When Someone Turns Into An Imposter"

Canadian music icon Bif Naked has released a new single, "Jim", taken from her forthcoming album, Champion. Check out the official video below.

Bif: "'Jim' is a song about loss, really. It’s about that disillusionment we all feel when someone turns into an imposter. 'Jim' is the quintessential story of discovering a betrayal and 'Jim' is that villain. The song is totally about pain, and facing it head-on.

With the video we really wanted to have a triumph over the pain, and take our power back. The running theme in the video, and the song lyrics, is about finding victory over heartache. The theme and esthetic are striking and vibrantly colorful, and that was very deliberate and actually a tease, and a nod to the new album artwork itself. The reverse concept was executed beautifully, and the whole video showcases all the expertise in its very stylistic aggression. It’s a story being told that eventually reveals the truth. Like the truth being revealed that someone’s 'Jim' is really their 'Judas' all along."

Bif recently unveiled a new venture under her expansive wing with the launch of her new organic CBD boutique, MonaLisaHealing.com.

Touted as the "Renaissance of CBD", the online e-com shop celebrated its North American debut throughout both Canada and the U.S. in the fall of 2019.  Specializing in premium organic, triple lab tested and verified all-hemp cannabidiol, MonaLisa Healing is set to extend their exclusive product line to the United Kingdom and Europe this February, and Australia and New Zealand in April. The store currently offers a range of 30mL CBD tinctures in varying potencies.

“I finally followed my own advice,” Bif says of the passion-driven project developed with her longtime team at Her Royal Majesty’s Entertainment. She will discuss the premiere endeavour at Vancouver’s 2020 The Wellness Show this Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd — each at 2:00 p.m. — for the panel “An Enlightening Discussion” (Saturday) and talk “Personally Taking Control & Managing Our Health Outcome” (Sunday).

As detailed in her highly personal, Internationally best-selling memoir, I Bificus, the Canadian "Princess of Everything" — and notably, a vegan who lives a straight-edge lifestyle — has arm-wrestled breast cancer, heart surgery, and kidney failure.

And it’s not as if she isn’t busy elsewhere; Bif is set to release a brand new single, “JIM” this February 14th — ahead of a highly-anticipated next studio album — as well as podcast series, New Riot Girls, and a book of poetry and illustrations later this year. A book designed to help empower patients and their families while navigating cancer treatments and the Canadian healthcare system, is also in the works.

For the entirety of her prolific career — and woven in a way only one of the country’s most unforgettable and inspiring women could accomplish — Bif has documented her journey in a deeply personal, highly relatable and inclusive way, covering topics that allow her truths to be a source of empowerment for fans. Her mindful approach to MonaLisa Healing is proving to be no different. Priding themselves as a company that leads with integrity, MonaLisa Healing walks the talk through their equal commitment to fair trade agreements and fair consumer pricing.

“So many people, including myself, are used to popping over-the-counter drugs for almost everything,” Bif says, citing muscle pain, migraines, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and chronic pain as just a handful of the many ailments she means. “There’s a long list of issues that keep us from thriving, all while lining the pockets of companies pushing unnatural pharmaceuticals on us, and our families. And yet, it’s absolutely no secret that CBD, according to real-life testimonials, has the proven potential to positively affect these issues, and many more.

I enjoy speaking directly to health care professionals regarding patient advocacy, as well as to patients and families who are surviving and thriving. They are all my mentors, they inspire me. I believe in the goodness of people, and in everyone’s ability to move forward, taking care of each other, and getting stronger together.

In that, we want to ensure the benefits of CBD are available to everyone, no matter their socioeconomic status. There’s a lot of price gouging in the CBD world and one thing important to me is the belief that great health should be available to every single person within communities around the world, not just an elite market who can afford speciality products and services. Just because it’s available at such an accessible price point doesn’t mean the quality should be compromised, or customers should throw caution to the wind. These core tenets are so uncompromisable, the company publishes the product’s independently lab tested and triple-verified results directly on their website for transparency, and offers a worry-free, 30-day money-back return policy for customer reassurance.

Each of us at MonaLisa Healing has our own story behind our passion for CBD, and we want to share that with as many people as possible. We use our products ourselves, as do our own families and pets! We faithfully endorse CBD as a product, and believe it can help people live a healthier, happier life.”

ALCEST Release Remixed Version Of “Sapphire” By PERTURBATOR

Last year, influential French “blackgaze” duo Alcest released their sixth studio album Spiritual Instinct through Nuclear Blast. Warmly-received by press and fans alike, the album scored the band their highest chart position in several countries, including Germany (#12) and Switzerland (#30).

Today, the band presents an alternate version of their deeply emotional track “Sapphire”, remixed by electro/synth wave legend James Kent aka Perturbator.  The song was included alongside two other tracks on the bonus EP that was only available with deluxe versions of “Spiritual Instinct”, but is now being made available digitally for the first time.

On the new single, founder Neige comments: "French artist James Kent from Perturbator is a master at playing with the darker side of ‘80s electronic music and we were really excited to hear how a rework of ‘Sapphire’ by him would sound. ‘Sapphire’ was already inspired by bands like The Cure so it was amazing to receive James’ version, who turned it into a stunning dark wave track."

"It was an immense pleasure to work with Alcest on Sapphire. I think the track turned out to be a good blend of what we do best and is a nice hommage to our love for post punk and cold wave." - James Kent aka Perturbator

Brazil’s REBAELLIUN Sign With Agonia Records

Brazilian death metallers Rebaelliun have signed record deal with Agonia Records. The band is currently working on a new album, successor to The Hell's Decrees from 2016. Its release date has been slated for autumn 2020.

Rebaelliun was founded in 1998 and is considered among the most important death metal bands to emerge from Brazil. Despite being formed more than 20 years ago, the band faced a considerable hiatus, which translates into less than a decade of actual activity and not more than three full-length albums under the belt.

Until Rebaelliun's dissolution (in 2002), the trio celebrated its most potent period, having released two studio albums, "Burn the Promised Land" (1999) and "Annihilation" (2001), via Hammerheart Records. They also played several tours - most of which took place in Europe - and shared the stage with Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Vader and Behemoth.

In 2015 the original line-up decided to reunite and release its third and last album, The Hell's Decrees (2016), followed by a European co-headlining tour with Pestilence, alongside shows at Party San Open Air and Brutal Assault Open Air. Unfortunately tragedy stroke shortly after, and took the life of guitarist Fabiano Penna in 2018. Amidst all the hardness, remaining members decided to keep the band alive.

In 2020 Rebaelliun is ripe for a new album. The band is also gearing up to perform at Netherlands Deathfest and Into The Abyss Festival, with more exciting news to follow.

Rebaelliun commented on the singing: "Last year, we started talking about a new album. With two new songs we got in touch with our previous label [Hammerheart Records]. The response was good, but not sufficient to our needs. After sending promo material to other companies and reviewing several offers, we decided to team up with the Polish label Agonia Records. Since our first encounter, we felt a good understanding that reflects the band's needs. We're currently composing new songs. The energy is great and we are expecting nothing less than the best album of our career.”

KHYMERA Feat. DENNIS WARD Streaming New Song "The Rhythm Of My Life"; Master Of Illusion Album Available Now

Frontiers Music Srl have released Khymera's new album, Master Of Illusions. Order the album here, and listen to the song "The Rhythm Of My Life", below.

While Khymera started out as an alliance between Italian producer/musician, Daniele Liverani and then Kansas singer Steve Walsh, it developed into a regular musical project when bassist and producer Dennis Ward (Magnum, ex-Pink Cream 69) entered the fold.

While known as a bassist, Dennis always sang background vocals with his bands, so he was more than ready and willing to take over the lead vocals on the Khymera albums A New Promise, The Greatest Wonder, and The Grand Design. While Khymera has been on hiatus for some time, Dennis is ready to come back with a new album, Master Of Illusions, which comes about four years after the release of the last album, The Greatest Wonder.

"I started writing in 2017," says Dennis. "It was a slow process. I first tried to collaborate with a pair of songwriters but it did not work out. I was actually having a very hard time trying to write the songs I was looking for. Fortunately, I was offered one song from Michael Palace that became the song 'After All This Time' and shortly after I collaborated with Pete Newdeck (Drums), Michael Klein (Guitars), Eric Ragno (Drums), and Jean Funes (Silent Tiger). Then everything fell into place pretty quickly. I was able to finalise melodies and lyrics and complete the recordings."

Musically, the new album very much follows the logical progression of the musical path that was started when Dennis joined the project. Master Of Illusions is a strong, extremely melodic release, which showcases the fantastic vocal abilities of Dennis and highlights his great skills as a songwriter and producer.

"One of my personal favourites is 'Rhythm Of My Life'," continues Dennis. "Not only because I like it, but because it was the last song I wrote. The lyrics are kind of summing of my life routine and my work as an artist and music producer and how I believe that no matter how stuck one can get if you just allow it things to happen they will, hence the song 'Just Let It Happen' which is another favourite not only because of the lyrics, but because of the mesmerizing atmospheric soundscape in the background. I had fun writing and playing that one. 'Paradise' is another favourite because I literally had the whole song written, including most of the lyric, in less than a work day. I think it has a catchy chorus and a good message."

Khymera still offers one of the most shining examples of what great European melodic rock is all about: crystal clear production, soaring vocals, killer musicianship and songwriting that reminds fans of the heydays of the genre when bands like Giuffria, Icon, and Signal roamed the Earth.

Tracklisting:

"Walk Away"
"The First Time"
"Master Of Illusions"
"The Sun Goes Down"
"Paradise"
"The Rhythm Of My Life"
"Follow The Sun"
"Father To Son"
"After All This Time"

BLUES PILLS Announce Holy Moly! Album; First Single “Proud Woman” Streaming

Often compared to a jam session between Aretha Franklin and Led Zeppelin, Blues Pills' career took them from an American garage to international glory within a few years. Their self-titled debut album (2014) entered the German album charts at #4 and two years later they went straight to #1 with the successor Lady in Gold. Starting in the smallest clubs the band suddenly found themselves playing on some of the world’s biggest stages from Rock Am Ring, Download, Sweden Rock and even the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival where Deep Purple famously saw smoke on the water during Frank Zappa’s performance.

With the band’s third album, Holy Moly!, to be released on June 19, 2020 via Nuclear Blast, Blues Pills plan their return to a number of major festival stages, playing Download, Hurricane and Southside among many others throughout the summer.

But fans need not wait until summer for their first taste of the action. To support International Women’s Day on March 8, Blues Pills have released their first single "Proud Woman". The band describe their intentions with the song:

"With 'Proud Woman' we wanna give the fierce women and grrrls of the world a power anthem to turn on whenever they wanna feel empowered. Or just have fun. A song to everyone who stands behind the most obvious things of all. Equality and unity. Whoever you are, wherever you come from. Women will always be a driving force of change. And a change is gonna come."

In regards to the lyrics of "Proud Woman" vocalist, Elin Larsson, says: "I’m a proud woman came out from my inner self and the first thing I thought was: someone must have written this before. And if not, why? Hey! It’s about damn time then!

“To be a woman or non-binary in the music industry seems to be more about the gender then the music sometimes. As a woman you’re being belittled, threatened, scrutinized, made fun of, targeted and harassed in a way that the men in the industry aren't. And even so, there are so many women in the industry who made and are making their mark just as mighty as the men, and they do that despite all of the hardships they get for simply being a woman and that makes their triumphs even greater."

HAREM SCAREM Debut "Aftershock" Music Video; Change The World Album Released

Harem Scarem's new studio album, Change The World, is out now via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch a video for the track "Aftershock" below, and order the album on CD, Vinyl, T-shirt Bundle, or Digital, here.

When a discussion arises on who the current heavyweights of the melodic hard rock scene are, the list of names being bantered about cannot avoid a mention of Harem Scarem. And certainly for good reason. After a five year hiatus, in 2013 the band reunited to re-record from scratch their milestone release, Mood Swings. Since then, Harem Scarem have consistently released high quality studio albums, with Thirteen and United being shining examples of the band showcasing their amazing trademark sound. At the same time, these albums offered a stylistic progression which makes Harem Scarem a band to point to for the evolution of the genre.

The new record, Change The World, is a logical next step for Harem Scarem. While it isn't a million miles from where United left off, it still shows a band at the top of their game. A cohesive unit still able to deliver a power-rock-packed punch, swaggering riffs, and hooks to die for. Harry Hess and Pete Lesperance without a doubt show the world that their partnership still works.

"We really only have one goal when we start working on a record and that is to try and write the best songs we can,” says Pete Lesperance, "In the beginning, Harry and I work individually on parts and than bring them together to see if we have a good starting point for some songs. I think we've finally found our stride (I should hope so after 30 years of being a band) and we just try to keep ourselves happy musically, but deliver something that we feel the fans will like!"

With the addition of Mike Vassos on bass, Harem Scarem are returning and ready to dominate.

Tracklisting:

"Change The World"
"Aftershock"
"Searching For Meaning"
"The Death Of Me"
"Mother Of Invention"
"No Man’s Land"

SOJOURNER - Premonitions Album Due In May; "The Deluge" Music Video Posted

An inflammation of harsh soundscapes exploding in a striking symbiosis of deep growls and clean female vocals: Sojourner’s new album, Premonitions, to be released on May 8 via Napalm Records, rises like an upcoming vortex that leaves the violent, yet undeniably beautiful stylistic evolution of their sound in an exceptional fusion of folk and atmospheric black metal.

Along with a visually stunning music video, their first single, “The Deluge”, draws its recipient into the wildness of Scottish nature and its famous Highlands. Accompanied by the unforgiving moody atmosphere, Sojourner takes your senses into a world of desperation, pain and the light shimmer of hope, that not all of our stories are inked at all.

“The Deluge” offers a first glance at the upcoming release spanning a wide range of musical forms and unfolding into a musically unpredictable ode to the unknown. Premonitions is in this sense not only a masterfully told story, but much more a milestone confirming the group’s unique approach towards the genre!

Emilio Crespo (vocal) states: “”The Deluge” represents the personal journeys that the members of Sojourner have endured for the past year. A deluge/flood is a devastating event that leaves a trail of destruction in its wake and this is encapsulated in the melancholic lyrics, hard rhythm and blistering leads of the track. We felt that “The Deluge” sets a darker tone and pace for the new album and therefore it was our first choice for the leading single of the new album, Premonitions. Due to the fact we are an international band spanning the globe, we decided to emphasize this in our first video by not pursuing one particular style, but telling the story of all the members coming together from their separate paths while mixing in stylized band shots which were all expertly shot and edited by the talented Oliver König."

Mike Lamb (guitar) adds: "Scotland has some of the most breathtaking landscapes and is a place we all hold close to our hearts for various reasons. That paired with the fact it was the right fit for “The Deluge” and Sojourner thematically, it was an easy decision to have the Scottish Highlands as the setting of the video."

Watch the official video for “The Deluge” below.

Their un-inimitable tonal trademark breathes the bands internationality: Living in four different countries, they combine each mindset and evoke the sweeping, melancholic atmospheres of nature merging with aggressive black metal fundamentals. Sojourner forms an indestructible bond that mirrors through their music. This album is not only a masterfully told story, but much more a milestone confirming the group’s unique approach towards the genre.

Premonitions will be available in the following formats:

- 2-LP Gatefold vinyl (black)
- 2-LP Gatefold vinyl (yellow/blue)

Check out their new song "Becoming The Enemy" featuring Avatar's Johannes Eckerström below.

A video for the album's third single, "Dig", can be seen below. “Dig” happens to be one of the band’s favourite songs on the album. It has a hypnotic pulse throughout, crushing guitar riffs and some well delivered heavy vocals from Jon Howard.

“Lyrically, the song is about people who ruin their relationships with others through their poor decisions,” says drummer Ryan ‘RVP’ Van Poederooyen. “The point, lyrically, is that you can move on from this type of person, learn a lesson from the situation, let go of the negativity involved and let them deal with the shit show they’ve created. In the end, these people dig their own ‘relationship' graves by burning bridges with others in their lives.”

Pre-order/pre-save the new album here.

State of Being features 10 hook-laden, riff-heavy tracks including “Hollow,” the debut single that made big waves for Imonolith straight out of the gate, racking up 216K Spotify streams in 2019. There are also two very special guest performances from Jens Kidman (Meshuggah) and Swedish vocalist Johannes Eckerström.

Having spent much of 2019 writing, arranging, recording and fine-tuning State of Being, the band worked incredibly hard to achieve their goal - to make an engaging heavy metal album. RVP commented, “We spent a lot of time making this record. We wanted it to be done the way we envisioned it. We didn’t cut any corners, from the song writing right up to the album production and artwork. It’s a debut album that we’re very proud of and excited for the world to hear.”

The high production video to “Instinct” is not only a great example of the band’s quality aesthetic, but it also serves as a look at Imonolith's collective personality. RVP continues, “I think we raised the bar with the ‘Instinct’ video. It’s a different kind of video that’ll catch you off guard in a few ways. It can also be interpreted differently depending on the viewer. We put a lot of thought into it and hired great visionary people to make it a fun watch.’’

LAMB OF GOD's RANDY BLYTHE Says Drummer ART CRUZ 'Did A Fantastic Job' On New Album

Richmond, Virginia-based metallers LAMB OF GOD will release their new, self-titled album, on May 8 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to 2015's "VII: Sturm Und Drang" marks LAMB OF GOD's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined the band last year as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.

During an appearance last Thursday (February 27) on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation" show, LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe was asked how Cruz fared in his first recording session with his new bandmates. He responded: "I think he did a fucking fantastic job. Art is a really solid drummer.

"It was interesting to watch him go through it, because writing a LAMB OF GOD record, even though it was pleasant this time, is generally not a pleasant experience to undergo; it's just not, because we are so fucking brutal on ourselves," he explained. "That's why it doesn't fucking matter to us, really, if a song comes out and a few people are, 'That sucks. I wish it sounded more like 'As The Palaces Burn',' or whatever. I don't give a fuck what you think, because we have put ourselves through absolute hell already to make this. We are our own worst critics by far — it's ridiculous how hard we are on ourselves. That being said, it doesn't make for a very pleasant writing and recording experience sometimes. And watching kind of step into this world… I'm sure he was nervous, because it's your first record with a band, and we are a 25-year established band with a large fanbase. I'm sure he was nervous, but he handled it — he did a really good job. It was definitely the longest time he'd ever had to record a record, 'cause he's recorded with PRONG, he's recorded with his other band, WINDS OF PLAGUE. And I think a lot of it was get in there, get it done, 'cause the budget isn't there for you to take all day. And I think he was a bit more directed by his bandmates in those other projects: 'We want you to do this. We want you to do that.' With this, we were, like, 'Okay, kid. Let's see what you've got.' And he just did a fantastic job."

Randy added: "It has that LAMB OF GOD sound. Because we are LAMB OF GOD; we're not trying to, all of a sudden, play polka beats or something. But definitely he adds his own flavor to it; there's a lot of different things he does differently, I guess, than our former drummer did. It's just different, and drum nerds will pick that apart."

Asked how LAMB OF GOD's split with Adler has been resolved, Blythe said: "The way it's been resolved is that Chris Adler is no longer in LAMB OF GOD — that's been publicly said — and Art Cruz is our new drummer. And that's about all we have to say about that."

Cruz filled in for Adler on several LAMB OF GOD tours in the past couple of years before being named Chris's official replacement last July.

When Adler's absence from LAMB OF GOD's summer 2018 tour was first announced, he released a statement saying that he had been undergoing physical and occupational therapy for injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in late 2017.

In January 2019, Art was asked by American Musical Supply what it has been like making a transition between playing his own drum parts to reproducing somebody else's material. He responded: "Chris is my buddy, so to be sitting in his place while he situates his stuff, it's been tough, because it's my favorite band ever — that was my dream to even be up next to them. But it's been a little bit of challenge, because it's big shoes to fill. But I'm having fun with it, the band is having fun with it, and it's been great — it's been phenomenal."

Art went on to say that he didn't have to alter his playing style in order to accommodate LAMB OF GOD's music. "I've been looking up to the band, like I said, since day one, so they inspired me from the get-go," he said. "So I didn't have to change too much. I think I had to focus a little bit more. 'Cause I'm usually just kind of whaling. But I would say it's a little bit more focused and intense. Especially when there's, like, fifty thousand people staring at you, in relation to two thousand or five hundred."

Cruz made his live debut with LAMB OF GOD in July 2018 in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Watch BUSH's GAVIN ROSSDALE Team Up With BREAKING BENJAMIN For Cover Of ALICE IN CHAINS' 'Would?'

BUSH singer Gavin Rossdale joined BREAKING BENJAMIN on stage last night (Saturday, February 29) at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada to perform a cover of the ALICE IN CHAINS classic "Would?" Video footage of the rendition, courtesy of the Reno rock station Rock 104.5, can be seen below.

Back in September, Rossdale said that BUSH's new album, "The Mind Plays Tricks On You", would arrive in early 2020. The disc was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with film composer Tyler Bates, who previously worked with Marilyn Manson.

Last summer, BUSH completed "The Alt-Imate Tour", a co-headline summer run with LIVE. The trek saw BUSH and LIVE celebrating the 25th anniversary of their respective landmark albums "Sixteen Stone" and "Throwing Copper".

BUSH's latest effort, 2017's "Black And White Rainbows", was crafted after the frontman went through a divorce with pop star/reality TV judge Gwen Stefani in 2015.

BUSH's current lineup also includes guitarist Chris Traynor and bassist Corey Britz.

The group, which broke up in 2002 but reunited in 2010, has released three albums since reforming.

BREAKING BENJAMIN is currently on a co-headlining tour with KORN. The Ben Burnley-fronted act is touring in support of its new compilation album "Aurora", which features reimagined versions of its songs.

As the successful follow up to Candlebox’s break-out, Platinum-selling debut album, their sophomore release Lucy has been hailed as a “bona fide cult classic” thanks to the Top 10 hit “Simple Lessons” and fan favorites “Best Friend” and title track “Lucy”. Now, 25 years after Lucy’s release, the band’s original lineup is reuniting for two exclusive shows October 2 and 3 to celebrate its legacy and 30 years of greatest hits.

OZZY OSBOURNE On Performing Live Again – “My Desire Is To Get Back On Stage”

Guesting on Good Morning Britain, Ozzy Osbourne spoke about intentions to perform live again after another postponement of his No More Tours 2 trek.

Osbourne said, "My desire is to get back on stage. I'm not ready to hang up my mic. That's what I live for, to do shows. I exercise as much as I can. I have a trainer, I do Pilates. I have masseuses, nurses 24-7. The best medication I can get is being in front of an audience, which is breaking my heart, to be honest."

Ozzy Osbourne's first new solo album in ten years, the critically acclaimed Ordinary Man (Epic Records), is the #1 rock album in the world, topping multiple charts in its triumphant first week of release.

In the US, the album entered the Billboard charts at #3 on the Top 200 chart, #2 on the Top Album Sales chart (making it his highest charting album ever on the tally, surpassing his No. 3 peak with Black Rain) and #1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart. This marks Ozzy's fifth consecutive Top 5 entry and sixth Top 10 entry on the Top 200 chart. It also places ahead of his most recent offering, Scream, which arrived at #4 in 2010.

Worldwide, Ordinary Man has entered the charts in the Top Ten in seven countries making it the highest charting album of Ozzy's career. It debuted at #3 on the UK chart, breaking Ozzy's previous peak on the charts 40 years ago for Blizzard Of Ozz (which peaked at #7). Ozzy also demolished his highest chart position in Australia, debuting at #4 and cracking the Top 10 there for the first time in his career. Ozzy secured his solo career's highest marks in Germany as well, coming in at #2. Elsewhere, the album earned Top Ten positions in Sweden at #1, the US and Canada at #3, Italy #6 and Ireland #6.

Next up, Ozzy shares the music video for “Scary Little Green Men”, starring none other than Jason Momoa. Check out the behind-the-scenes below, and be on the lookout for the premiere soon.

Ordinary Man is available as a standard CD, deluxe CD, black vinyl, deluxe gatefold swirl color vinyl, picture disc, cassette and digital album.

Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses) on bass and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums. Beyond the core band, Ordinary Man, features a who's-who of Ozzy friends and collaborators including Slash, Elton John and Post Malone.
