ROBIN RED Signs Multi-Album Deal With Frontiers Music Srl; Debut Album Expected In Early 2021
Frontiers Music Srl has announced the signing of vocalist Robin Red to a multi-album deal.
Robin is a Swedish rock singer known for being one of the founding members of melodic hard rockers Degreed. Since then, he has toured all over Europe in support of five well received studio albums from the band. Additionally, Robin also participated in the Swedish version of American Idol in 2008, finishing in the Top 10.
In 2020, Robin decided to start a solo career and sent his demos to Frontiers, who were quite excited with what they heard.
”I’ve been thinking about doing a solo album for many years. It’s kind of a dream come true. But I never really felt ready, not until now. I'm gonna go back to the roots and make it a little more organic. I'm very inspired by artists like Jimmy Barnes and Bryan Adams, and the sound will not be far from there, I think. But it will still be me,” says Robin.
Robin’s debut album is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2021.

WARDRUNA Share Kvitravn Album Tracklisting And Translations
Masterful Norwegian storytellers, Wardruna, will release their new album, Kvitravn (which translates to 'White Raven') on June 5 via By Norse Music in the US and Sony Music/Columbia Records (worldwide excl. US).
Following the release of the album's debut single, "Grá" - translating to 'grey' in English - and its transcendent music video which can be seen below, founder/composer Einar Selvik (ex-Gorgoroth) has revealed Kvitravn's tracklisting along with translations for each of the track's titles (see below).
"For those who want to search deeper into our songs, the upcoming album will contain complete lyrics along with English translations," reveals Einar. "When revealing the track list, it also makes sense to show the translations of the titles, so one potentially gets a better idea of the album's content."
Einer adds: "The power of words, poetry and abstract thinking as well as the ability to master them in various forms was highly regarded in the oral societies of the past. It is a trait that we feel should not be forgotten. Our lyrics are therefore an important layer to the music."
"Whether the given song is about traditions, spirituality, philosophy or other esoteric subjects, there should always be a potential of learning something," he explains. "Knowledge, yet knowledge that is not served as overly explained truths, but rather in abstract images and hints that inspire the listener to seek their own understanding--much like the way Old Norse poetry deals with esoteric matters."
Pre-order bundles for Kvitravn are now available here, and across all digital platforms here.
Tracklisting (with translations):
"Synkverv" (Turn-sight)
"Kvitravn" (White Raven)
"Skugge" (Shadow)
"Grá" (Grey)
"Fylgjutal" (Speech of the Fetch)
"Munin" (Memory)
"Kvit hjort" (White Stag)
"Viseveiding" (Song-hunting)
"Ni" (Nine)
"Vindavlarljod" (Song of the wind-bred)
"Andvevarljod" (Song of the Spirit-weavers)

PAPA ROACH To Release Career-Spanning Documentary
Tobin Esperance has confirmed that PAPA ROACH has "some surprises" planned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band's breakthrough album, "Infest", this year.
PAPA ROACH's second full-length record and first major label release, "Infest" peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified triple platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) for sales in excess of three million copies in the U.S. alone.
While speaking to to Spain's GoetiaMedia.com last month, Tobin said that plans are afoot for PAPA ROACH to mark the LP's two-decade milestone.
"We've got some surprises coming celebrating our first record, 'Infest'," the bassist said (see video below). "All of the footage that we've acquired over the past 20 years, we're hoping to put it into a documentary that's gonna come out soon. And all the while, we've been in the studio making new music and just kind of experimenting. We're looking forward to putting out new music, maybe some reinterpretations of old music and also a documentary. And we're just gonna keep touring and celebrating life and music."
PAPA ROACH's European tour with HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD and ICE NINE KILLS kicked off in Barcelona, Spain on February 16 and will conclude on March 18 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Guitarist Jerry Horton is sitting out the trek after breaking two fingers in his left hand. His temporary replacement is Tobin's brother, Anthony Esperance.
PAPA ROACH is continuing to tour in support of its tenth studio album, "Who Do You Trust?", which was released last year via Eleven Seven Music.
PAPA ROACH was recently announced as one of the opening bands for FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's spring North American tour. The trek kicks off on April 8 in Sunrise, Florida, winding down on May 20 in St. Paul, Minnesota. | +3

Video: DRAGONFORCE Plays In Los Angeles With Drummer AQUILES PRIESTER
DRAGONFORCE played its second show with drummer Aquiles Priester (ANGRA, TONY MACALPINE, W.A.S.P.) this past Friday night (March 6) at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles, California. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert, which featured a guest appearance by Tosin Abasi (ANIMALS AS LEADERS) and Tim Henson (POLYPHIA) for the banjo-inflected tribute to the video game Farming Simulator, can be seen below.
Priester is filling in for regular DRAGONFORCE drummer Gee Anzalone. who is forced to miss the band's current U.S. tour due to health issues.
Anzalone's absence from the trek was announced on March 2 via DRAGONFORCE's social media. The band wrote: "DRAGONFORCE are sad to announce that drummer Gee Anzalone will not be performing on the upcoming US tour. Gee has been hospitalised for Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle. Virtuoso drummer Aquiles Priester will perform on the upcoming DRAGONFORCE US Tour while Gee recovers."
Guitarist Herman Li added in a statement: "We will miss our brother Gee on the upcoming U.S. tour, but health is most important. We wish Gee a speedy recovery and we know he will be back on tour with us soon. We want to thank our friend Aquiles for stepping up and helping us out on short notice."
DRAGONFORCE's U.S. tour will end on March 21 in Brooklyn, New York. Support on the trek is coming from UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS.
DRAGONFORCE's recent European tour marked the band's first with new bassist and backing vocalist Alicia Vigil (VIGIL OF WAR), who joined DRAGONFORCE in January. Last August, DRAGONFORCE parted ways with longtime bassist Frédéric Leclercq. Playing bass for the group at some its shows late last year was Damien Rainaud, who produced DRAGONFORCE's eighth full-length album, "Extreme Power Metal".
"Extreme Power Metal" came out in September. | 0

FIREWIND Announces New Singer
FIREWIND, the band featuring former OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist Gus G., has parted ways with guitarist/keyboardist Bob Katsionis and singer Henning Basse. The group's new vocalist is Herbie Langhans, who has previously played with AVANTASIA and SINBREED.
FIREWIND is currently working on its ninth studio album, to be released later in 2020.
FIREWIND announced the latest lineup changes in a social media post earlier today. The group wrote: "Dear friends & supporters, we've been pretty quiet about the new album but we'll cut right to the chase.
"After many years, Bob Katsionis is stepping down from the ongoing touring lifestyle and focus on his work as a producer / studio engineer as well as his own projects. We've also parted ways with Henning Basse due to personal reasons that will prevent him from completing the upcoming album touring cycle and continuing with the band overall. We thank them both for their time and contributions to FIREWIND. There's absolutely no bad blood here, the guys are part of our legacy and we wish them best of luck for the future.
"While this was a big challenge for us, it is a change that needed to happen in order for the band to continue. This is a rebirth of FIREWIND and a new chapter in our musical history.
"At the same time we'd like to welcome new singer Herbie Langhans (AVANTASIA, ex-SINBREED). Herbie is a hell of a singer and his powerful style breathes new life on our new material but also on our back catalogue. He recently completed the vocals for our ninth studio album, which is due later this year.
"We're very excited to finally reveal the upcoming album and share the new sounds with you! Stay tuned as more announcements coming real soon!"
FIREWIND and PRIMAL FEAR will support New Jersey's progressive metal masters SYMPHONY X on their "25th Anniversary North American tour 2020". The 28-date trek will kick off in Englewood, New Jersey on May 14 and make stops in Montreal, Cleveland and Austin before concluding on June 17 at The Masquerade in Atlanta.
FIREWIND's last album, "Immortals" marked the first time the band used an outside co-producer, having worked with Dennis Ward, who not only engineered, mixed and mastered the LP, but also co-wrote it together with Gus. The disc was FIREWIND's first and only release with Basse, who previously toured with the band on various continents in 2007 and was the singer in Gus's solo touring group.
A NEW CHAPTER OF FIREWIND
Dear friends & supporters,
We’ve been pretty quiet about the new album but we’ll cut right...

HELLOWEEN Pays Tribute To Drummer INGO SCHWICHTENBERG On 25th Anniversary Of His Death
German metallers HELLOWEEN have paid tribute to their founding drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg on the 25th anniversary of his death.
Earlier today (Sunday, March 8), HELLOWEEN uploaded a four-minute video of a Schwichtenberg drum solo, along with the following message: "On this day 25 years ago our friend Ingo Schwichtenberg passed away. We will never forget him."
Schwichtenberg was fired from HELLOWEEN in 1993 during the tour in support of the band's "Chameleon" album. After his dismissal from the group, Schwichtenberg slid further and further into his schizophrenic episodes, culminating in his suicide in 1995 by jumping in front of a train. Schwichtenberg's replacement in HELLOWEEN was Uli Kusch, who stayed in the band until 2001. Two more drummers followed, Mark Cross (2001–2003) and Stefan Schwarzmann (2003–2005), before the arrival of Daniel Löble in 2005.
HELLOWEEN's 1996 album "The Time Of The Oath" was dedicated to Schwichtenberg, as were the songs "Afterlife", from GAMMA RAY's "Land Of The Free" LP (featuring founding HELLOWEEN guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen), and "Always", from HELLOWEEN singer Michael Kiske's first solo album, "Instant Clarity".
HELLOWEEN has spent the past couple of years touring with the "Pumpkins United" lineup which features Kiske and Hansen alongside current singer Andi Deris, guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner, bassist Markus Grosskopf and Löble.

Video Premiere: OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Ordinary Man'
Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne has released the official music video for "Ordinary Man", the title track of his new album. In the clip, directed by Stephen Lee Carr and produced by Sharon Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Peter Glowski, R. Greg Johnston and Stephen Lee Carr, Ozzy sits in front of a screen watching clips and looking at photos from his early days with BLACK SABBATH to headlining venues around the world as a solo artist. Throughout, Osbourne faces good times and bad, going from melancholy as he views troubling moments (the loss of Randy Rhoads) to happy times alongside his wife and family.
Marking his first new solo music in almost 10 years, "Ordinary Man" was preceded by the release of three singles, the No. 1 rock track "Under The Graveyard", which was followed by "Straight To Hell" featuring GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, and the aforementioned title cut.
"It was a lot of fun to do though it's a lot different from my other albums," Ozzy says of the LP. "We recorded it quickly, which I haven't done since the first BLACK SABBATH album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed."
Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on bass and Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) on drums. Beyond the core band, "Ordinary Man" features a who's-who of Ozzy friends and collaborators including Elton John, Post Malone and Tom Morello.
"It all just came together," Ozzy explains of the guest stars. "Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing 'Ordinary Man', it reminded me of an old Elton song and I said to Sharon, 'I wonder if he would sing on it?' We asked, and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and play piano on the song."
Three days after the news of the surprise collaboration with Elton was broken by Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon on her daytime TV talk show "The Talk", Smith spoke about the project during an appearance on "Volume West", which airs daily on SiriusXM Volume channel 106.
Asked by host Lyndsey Parker how Slash came to be involved with the album, Chad said: "Having Ozzy do new music, anyone that we mentioned to, 'We're making music for Ozzy,' everyone wants in. Anyone we spoke to. So we wanted it to be the right people. We didn't wanna just throw in names for names. [We wanted] people that love Ozzy, which is pretty much everybody anyway, but that made sense. The single that's out now called 'Straight To Hell', he soloed at the end of that — classic Slash wah-wah, bluesy; great. But, really, we wanted him to play on this song that is the title song, which is called 'Ordinary Man' — this more midtempoey, kind of BEATLES… Ozzy loves THE BEATLES — it's his favorite band. He's going on about THE BEATLES — THE BEATLES, BEATLES, BEATLES. And you would think, the Prince Of Darkness — THE BEATLES, really? So he's, like, 'We need something midtempo, not so heavy.' So Andrew [Watt, 'Ordinary Man' producer] had this little piano idea thing, and we made it into this song, and it's epic. And Slash plays the solo. It's so epic, there's two Slash solos. [Laughs] It's a really good song. And he plays beautifully on it, and we're so happy to have him on it.'
According to Chad, Elton ended up playing on the record as an afterthought. "We decided, 'Well, [the song] has a piano. Who is a really good piano player? I don't know…. Let's get the Rocket Man,'" Smith recalled. "And so Andrew and I went down to Atlanta, where Elton John lives when he's on the East Coast. I think he kind of lives all over the place. And we recorded him. And he played the piano on the song, and he plays it beautifully, of course. And then we're, like, 'Why don't we have him sing a verse?'"
Chad went on to say that Elton and Ozzy both sound "fucking awesome" on the song. "These two iconic legendary English fucking rockers that have been through it all are singing about the end of their lives. 'I don't wanna die an ordinary man.' And it's fucking great," he said. "Me and Andrew are pinching ourselves. And Elton was so great, so gracious. 'I'll do anything for Ozzy. I love Ozzy.'
"And so on this 'Ordinary Man' song, you've got Duff McKagan, Slash, Andrew Watt, wonderboy producer, writer, hot-shit guy of the moment, great musician," he continued. "You've got the Prince Of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. You've got Sir Elton John, and a drummer from some other band. You've got the fucking Avengers of rock and roll. It's so fucking good. And at the end of this song, every time I hear it, there's this string thing at the end. We went to Abbey Road [studios], and it's strings and a choir. It's fucking epic, and every time I hear it, I'm, like, 'And the Grammy goes to…'"

COLD IN JULY To Release No Sanctuary EP In April; "Catalyst For Recovery" Music Video Posted
UK melodic metal quartet, Cold In July, unleashes the promotional cycle for the group’s brand new chapter with the memorable “Catalyst For Recovery”, the first single off the band’s upcoming No Sanctuary EP, to be released on April 10. Watch a video for the song below.
Drawing on a wide range of influences, Cold In July showcases a great level of natural progression in terms of musicianship, in comparison with the formation’s previous material. Offering up an assortment of intricate, melodic metal lines that, however, don’t lack dynamic and aggression at any point, whilst continuing to tread closer to the melodic end of the metalcore spectrum, the bright and noticeable instrumentation, amid the barrage of the diversified vocal lines, support the idea that with “Catalyst For Recovery” the members of the band have established a formula that separates them from their peers and has allowed them to avoid the pitfalls many others have fallen into - in being unable to establish a sound of their own. Cold In July harnessed an ability to write measured sections, where the aggression mixes naturally well with tasteful instrumentals, as the ability to combine different elements in such a cohesive way is the aspect of the group that excels the band’s potential the most.
Further clarifying the nature and the essence of “Catalyst For Recovery”, Cold In July collectively explains: "This song details a story of turmoil to recovery. Emphasizing the bridge between meaningful relationships and how they shape us as people and emotional battles that seek to harm us. The good people in our lives are the truest form of freedom."
No Sanctuary EP tracklisting:
"You Saps Keep Your Faith, We'll Take The Money"
"The Midas Touch"
"Final Breath"
“Catalyst For Recovery”
"The Sleep Of Reason, Brings Forth Monsters"

TOM KEIFER On His Years With CINDERELLA: 'I Don't Have Any Regrets'
CINDERELLA frontman Tom Keifer recently spoke with Jesse Bruce of 93.1 WMPA's "In The Basement With Jesse Bruce". The five-part conversation can be streamed below. A few excerpts follow (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).
On his new album, "Rise":
Tom: "Stylistically, it's hard rock — blues-inspired hard rock like I've always written, kind of a straight-ahead, driving rock record with all the same kind of dynamics that I've always had on records that I've been involved with in the past — ballads and acoustic songs, as well as very heavy songs. There's a lot of variety, but it's all in the same style of what I've done for years. I just call it rock music."
On his "#Keiferband" backing band:
Tom: "We have a seven-piece band — two guitars including myself, bass, drums, keyboards, my wife Savannah and Kendra Chantelle sing with the band. We've got six really great singers on stage, so everything's live. That's something that I've always kind of traditionally [done] — not run tracks or any of that stuff. A lot of records I've been involved with from CINDERELLA through the solo stuff are layered and complex productions, shall we say, so it's really nice with this band having seven people. We've got the keyboards, the guitars; everybody sings; having Savannah and Kendra really fill out the vocals, and they play percussion as well. It sounds like the record... The band really delivers."
On how he takes care of his voice:
Tom: "I had a lot of struggles with my voice over the years, so I had to train with vocal coaches to get it back. Basically, what my vocal coaches did was help me find my way back to where I had started, and kind of put that blueprint back in there. That happens to a lot of singers. That really helps with the training and finding that placement again, because there were a lot of years for me where it was lost. In recent years, since I've been touring with this band, it's been really strong, and it was really strong making this new record. A lot of those vocals are live [and] were cut when we were actually tracking the album."
On the modern music industry:
Tom: "We're doing all the same things in terms of creating and what we do as the artist, shall we say — we get on a bus and go on tour and play a lot of shows, and that's pretty much the same as it always was. We're still creating records, and we do that in the same way — you write songs, get in a room with the band, throw up some mics and you record it. Of course, I'm simplifying that process — it's a little more involved than that — but it's basically the same process. We're still making videos, which is an art form that I still really enjoy... In so many ways, it's still the same. We're still releasing songs to radio. Radio's a little more focused now. The rock format has a very particular sound that's very heavy. I would say a big difference is that we're only really able to work heavy tracks to radio, where we used to be able to work ballads and things that had different styles. Rock radio had a little bit broader spectrum in the '80s. Modern rock is more focused toward very heavy stuff... The way people get their music and listen to it is very different. It's shifted to streaming a lot, although physical product still does sell a lot. We've sold a lot of vinyl and CDs, but I think that the streaming thing and online listening is more of the norm now. A lot of people just simply listen to music on YouTube. Not all of it always generates the money that the record company wants, but if you kind of adjust your thinking in terms of how you measure your success, rather than looking at sales like we did years ago, just walk on stage and play a new song and see how many people are singing it. We've found with both the solo releases touring worldwide that way more people seem to be familiar with the songs than if you compare it to the hard sales. The good news is the music's still getting out to people; it's just in a different way, and you have to adjust your thinking."
On CINDERELLA:
Tom: "I don't have any regrets. We worked with an amazing producer; I'm proud of the records that we made; I'm still proud of the songs, and I still play them all live. I guess if I wasn't proud of them, I wouldn't. [laughs] I still enjoy playing all of those with my band and the fans still love them. The era got kind of pegged with a particular look and a label, and you go back and look at anyone's yearbook picture and kind of have a laugh. Obviously, there's some pictures you cringe at here or there, but for the most part, that's what was going on at the time — that was the look of the day. I think the '80s were an extension of the glam rock that all the artists in the '80s grew up on. I was influenced not just musically, but visually too — by [Mick] Jagger and Janis Joplin and Rod Stewart and AEROSMITH... I think in the '80s, it was just kind of that on steroids. It was the flavor of the decade, and I feel like we grew out of it. I think we matured, and our look and sound, production and all kind of grew. I think that's what you need to do as an artist. I think we evolved from day one — we just kept evolving."
On Jon Bon Jovi:
Tom: "He took an interest in the band. He was recording his second record, '7800º Fahrenheit'. This was before 'Slippery When Wet'. He was in Philadelphia, finished a session and just went out to have a drink and wound up at a club where we were playing. He put in a word with his A&R guy, and in true A&R guy fashion, he wasn't convinced — he had to come down and see the band, and he had to sign us to a developmental deal and made us write more songs and all of that. He really put us through the ringer, but the catalyst that got all that started was Jon going and putting in the good word for us. We'll always be appreciative of that."
Keifer's second solo album, "Rise", was released in September via Cleopatra Records.

VADER To Release 'Solitude In Madness' Album In May
Polish death metal metallers VADER will release their 16th studio album, "Solitude In Madness", on May 1 via Nuclear Blast.
VADER leader Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek comments: "Humanity never learns from its lessons. I feel tensions continuing to rise around the world. People have forgotten about true pain, from a bigger picture standpoint. Generationally, the new generation doesn't respect the old, and I'd challenge they don't even respect themselves. Our everyday lives are on TV, so there's no soul left. Everything's empty. I think technology is also sucking the human out of us. There are more lonely people now than ever before, and yet we're supposed to be connected together by technology. It's madness! That's where the title, 'Solitude In Madness', came from, actually. Of course, I approach these topics in a very VADER way. I love telling stories and expressing myself through those stories."
For "Solitude In Madness", VADER went outside its comfort zone to Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, where the band teamed up with one-stop shop Scott Atkins to engineer, produce, mix, and master for four weeks in summer 2019. The album artwork was created by Wes Benscoter (AUTOPSY, CATTLE DECAPITATION).
"Solitude In Madness" track listing:
01. Shock And Awe
02. Into Oblivion
03. Despair
04. Incineration Of The Gods
05. Sanctification Denied
06. And Satan Wept
07. Emptiness
08. Final Declaration
09. Dancing In The Slaughterhouse
10. Stigma Of Divinity
11. Bones
As first impression of the upcoming album, VADER have already released a very first single and lyric video for the track "Shock And Awe".
VADER's European tour will kick off on March 7 in Germany. The trek will hit Germany, U.K., Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Hungary with support from DEFILED, CHRONOSPHERE and FALLCIE.

SCOTT STAPP To Release Empowering New Anthem "Survivor"; "Wake Up Call" PSA Video Streaming; The Survivor Tour Confirmed
Just seven months since The Space Between The Shadows debuted atop the charts, Scott Stapp announces his next single, “Survivor”, and the first dates on The Survivor Tour, which kicks off June 5 in Pacific Junction, IA. Pre-sale tickets for Live Nation venues begins Tuesday, March 10 at 10 AM, local. General ticket on-sale begins March 13 at 10 AM, local time on ScottStapp.com.
Last July, Scott’s first album in six years, The Space Between The Shadows, introduced “Purpose For Pain”, Scott’s highest-charting single since 2005. His North and South American tour dates came with all the power, pyro, and anthems expected of one of the biggest voices in recent rock music and he recently discussed his five-year journey of overcoming and rebuilding during a candid Q&A at the Pollstar Live! conference. Having fought for his return, “Survivor”, is a powerful anthem to strengthen the resolve of anyone wrestling with adversity as Scott roars at the demons of the past, “how ya like me now?!”
Today, Scott also debuted an inspiring PSA video from his trip to Ecuador with ChildFund International, one of his philanthropic partners since 2015. Set to his song “Wake Up Call,” the video illustrates every individual’s potential and the joy of giving, for both the giver and the recipients. As he did last summer, Stapp will host ChildFund reps at each venue so that fans who are able can sponsor a child for $36 a month. To sponsor a child or learn more about ChildFund, please visit www.childfund.org/scott-stapp.
Watch the PSA video below:
“ChildFund has created a network to give these kids a fighting chance of overcoming the reality they were born into. Children in need don’t have to become victims of neglect,” said Scott.
Stapp has come full circle with The Space Between The Shadows. Themes of facing the past, overcoming, and powering through adversity dominate - “Purpose For Pain”, finds meaning in life’s struggles; “Name,” promises to end destructive cycles; “Gone Too Soon,” honours musical peers and victims of unexpected tragedy; and “Survivor” promises above all, to never stop fighting.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Launch Guitar Playthrough Video For New Song "Verminous"
On April 17, The Black Dahlia Murder will release their new album, Verminous, via Metal Blade Records. Brandon Ellis stopped by the Guitar World studio to play through the title track, "Verminous". Watch the video below:
Verminous is The Black Dahlia Murder's most dynamic, rousing and emotional release to date, and it achieves this without compromising one iota of heaviness. "I think this is the biggest evolutionary leap we've ever taken from one album to the next. We stoked the creative fires with 2017's 'Nightbringers' and it's gone much further now in Verminous," states vocalist Trevor Strnad. "It's a very colorful, moody, and charismatic album that experiments with new sounds and ideas without losing the cutthroat Black Dahlia edge. There is a lot of minutiae to digest. Plenty of delicious little Easter eggs woven into the fabric of each song. Each one is a living, breathing entity that will stand on its own as some of the best music this band has ever created."
While the drums were recorded at The Pipeyard in Plymouth, Michigan by ex-bassist and longtime studio guru Ryan "Bart" Williams, the bulk of the album was recorded in New Jersey at guitarist Brandon Ellis' home studio, the Shred Light District, then mixed by Tue Madsen and mastered by Alan Douches. Produced by Ellis and the band, Verminous sees Black Dahlia having a greater level of control over every facet of recording than on any previous release, enabling them to tweak and fine-tune all the small details right up until the point they sent it to Madsen in Denmark. "To say we were anal-retentive would be an understatement. Tue did an outstanding job. His mix is organic. Classic sounding. Not too slick. It's got an old school 'real life' feel to it rather than being the overly polished quantized-to-hell drek that is coming out these days. We wanted the album's sound to have its own personality, and he helped us achieve just that. Finally, Alan did a great job of smoothing out the final details with his mastering. He beefed it up into what you hear now." The only other outside collaborators with which the band worked were soundscape artist Michael Ghelfi, who provided the sample that opens the record and "sets the pest-ridden vibe", and Juanjo Castellano, who painted the cover. "It's amazing and classically death metal cover artwork. I call it an evil underground sewer world, home to the verminous ones. If you look closely you can find all kinds of rats and bugs and critters scattered throughout. The amount of detail Juanjo put in there is second to none."
The record is available for pre-order here in the following formats:

In support of Verminous, The Black Dahlia Murder will first head out to South Africa in March, before hitting the road with Testament for a North American tour, featuring Municipal Waste and Meshiaak as openers. The band will also return to Europe this summer for the festival season, appearing at Hellfest, Bloodstock Open Air, and more.
In regards to the upcoming US trek, The Black Dahlia Murder's vocalist Trevor Strnad comments: "It is a massive honor and pleasure to be considered a worthy peer to the mighty Testament. Being a fan of theirs since childhood, I have to stop and pinch myself to see if it's a dream or not. Luckily, I'm still awake! To say that we in The Black Dahlia Murder are excited for this undertaking would be a massive understatement. Not to mention the added pleasure of combining forces with the non-stop energy of Municipal Waste. Too fucking sick! These three entities together will be levelling venues across North America and leaving no head un-banged! This is it! The stars have aligned! Prepare to fucking thrash!"

JOE LYNN TURNER Says RITCHIE BLACKMORE Is 'Cheating The Public' With Current Version Of RAINBOW
Former RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE singer Joe Lynn Turner has once again slammed Ritchie Blackmore for the guitarist's decision to go out and perform classic DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW material with a new group musicians instead of reforming RAINBOW with a more "authentic" lineup.
Blackmore stepped away from his Renaissance-inspired brand of music with BLACKMORE'S NIGHT for the first time in 2016 to perform a handful of shows with a brand-new lineup of the band he had formed after quitting DEEP PURPLE.
The current incarnation of RAINBOW includes singer Ronnie Romero, originally from Chile but now settled in Madrid, Spain, as well as STRATOVARIUS keyboardist Jens Johansson, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT drummer David Keith, bassist Bob Nouveau (a.k.a. Robert "Bob" Curiano, ex-BLACKMORE'S NIGHT), and backing singers Candice Night and Lady Lynn.
Speaking to the "80's Glam Metalcast", Turner — who fronted RAINBOW from 1980 until 1984 and was a member of PURPLE from 1989 until 1992 — said that he had been in talks with Blackmore for at least a year about a renewed collaboration before he found out from a French newspaper that Ritchie was returning to rock music but excluding Joe from the project.
The singer said (hear audio below): "Most people don't know this true story, because I didn't try to really come out and make people understand it all, because I just said, 'Look, the guy's gonna do what he wants to do.' But I was talking to his so-called 'management,' 'cause it's his mother-in-law for a good year. I've got all the e-mails to prove it. We were going back and forth talking about what the reunion of RAINBOW would be. And I wanted an authentic RAINBOW reunion; I wanted to get authentic players. I wanted the real RAINBOW — not just the RAINBOW I was in — but I wanted to bring up Doogie White and Graham Bonnet and I had Bob Daisley. Unfortunately, Jimmy Bain had passed and so on and so forth, but Don Airey… I wanted to make it sort of a RAINBOW extravaganza. There would be a core band, whether it was [Bobby] Rondinelli or [Chuck] Burgi on drums or Dave Rosenthal — I spoke to all of them. I was lining all this up."
He continued: "You may or may not know anything about the Blackmore camp, as we call it, but they're very guarded. And the mother-in-law — the story is I had a spy in that camp, and the story is that she was badmouthing me to Ritchie saying that I wanted to take full control of it all. And that couldn't be further from the truth. I was talking to Live Nation, which we had over a hundred and sixty dates promised, either headlining and/or special guests at all the big festivals. Our label, Universal, was gonna release not only an album but a four-song EP. I had Rock Fuel Media out of L.A., which was gonna do a 3D video of the whole thing. It was just gonna be gigantic and enormous — amazing. And she turned around and just dropped it like a hot potato — didn't even give me any reason why. And I found out in a newspaper called Le Parisien that I wasn't gonna be in the band. So I kind of laughed at it — simply because he said that I didn't know about it. But I said, 'Well, he's making a mistake, but he doesn't know about it.' And I know that's my opinion today."
Turner went on to criticize RAINBOW's current incarnation, saying "the RAINBOW [Ritchie] put together is nostalgic, but it is not RAINBOW. They never did an album, and all they do is these spot dates. And anybody who goes to see them, it's all over YouTube. And that's really all I've gotta say about it. If you ask me, he's cheating the public. And that wasn't my intention. So happily I go along. Ritchie is allowed to do whatever he wants to do, and so I am. And I don't need the hassle. So it's great."
According to Joe, had his idea for a RAINBOW reunion come to fruition, "it would have been unbelievable. And even people who haven't seen RAINBOW before — there's a lot of 'em that love the music and grew up on it — are still coming out and seeing RAINBOW, no matter what configuration he put together," he said. "If you look at 'Live Between The Eyes' or any of our live stuff compared to the stuff he's got on YouTube with this particular aggregation, there's no comparison. None. Our band rocked."
Joe sang on the RAINBOW album "Difficult To Cure", which featured the band's most successful U.K. single, "I Surrender".
During Turner's time with RAINBOW, the band had its first USA chart success and recorded songs that helped define the melodic rock genre.

TESLA Releases Music Video For 'Signs' From 'Five Man London Jam'
Sacramento, California rockers TESLA visited iconic recording studio Abbey Road Studios in London, England in June 2019 for a one-night musical event capturing the band performing songs from their legendary arsenal, including "Love Song" and "What You Give", along with their classic covers of "Signs" and "We Can Work It Out". Additionally, the band performed live for the first time ever its new song "California Love Song", from its latest album "Shock", plus "Tied To The Tracks" and "Forever Loving You". The performance was recorded and filmed in 4K high definition, bringing forth the band's newest live album "Five Man London Jam" as an homage to their critically acclaimed live acoustic album "Five Man Acoustical Jam".
"Five Man London Jam" will be released on March 27 on Blu-ray, 2LP vinyl, CD and digital via Ume. The Blu-ray includes a bonus interview with TESLA reflecting on the 30th anniversary of "Five Man Acoustical Jam" and performing for the first time at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
The official music video for the electrifying new single "Signs" is available below.
Track listing:
01. Cumin' Atcha Live / Truckin'
02. Tied To The Tracks
03. We Can Work It Out
04. Signs
05. What You Give
06. California Summer Song
07. Forever Loving You
08. Miles Away
09. Paradise
10. Call It What You Want
11. Stir It Up
12. Into The Now
13. Love Song
Issued in July 1990, TESLA's stripped down "Five Man Acoustical Jam" was an instant success that coincided with the rise of MTV's unplugged format. The set has since gone platinum in the U.S.
Last year, TESLA singer Jeff Keith told Canada's The Metal Voice about "Five Man London Jam": "It was done at Abbey Road studios [in London, England]. How cool is that? It's been 30 years. We had fun doing it 30 years ago, and we had fun when we were over at Abbey Road studios, where THE BEATLES and a whole lot more other great bands have recorded. And it was awesome. We just did it live [with] a little audience there. Once again, [it was] a live performance. And that's my favorite thing to do — performing live… I like it when it's live, because you don't even realize it. We're just having fun performing songs and they're gonna make a live record of it, and have some extra footage to put in there. We had a great time; we had a fantastic time. It was a blast."
Asked about the setlist for TESLA's performance at Abbey Road, Keith said: "Well, it was requested that we do some stuff to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of 'Five Man Acoustical Jam', so we did five or six songs from that. And then we did some of our new songs, [from] the record that we made with Phil Collen from DEF LEPPARD [2019's 'Shock'], which was fantastic. So we've got some new recordings there — it's new recordings of the 30-years-ago celebration — and we had fun with it. Just like we did 30 years ago, we had fun with it again."
Regarding the original "Five Man Acoustical Jam" recording, Jeff said: "It was just like an accident waiting to happen, and it was a great accident. Not an accident, but… We had been on tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE, and we had to jam an acoustical set that we did for, I think, the Bammies, the Bay Area Music Awards. So we decided, 'Hey, instead of sitting on two nights off in a row, we'll just find a club that'll let us come in and play our songs acoustically and have fun with it,' and that's what we did. And it was feeling so good, the decision was made with Geffen Records, 'Let's just record the whole night.' And we went to a radio station — me, Frank [Hannon] and Tommy [Skeoch] — and we played 'Signs' and the phones were ringing off the hook. I think it's our biggest-selling record to date. But it was all just having fun."
TESLA is continuing to tour in support of "Shock", which was released in March 2019 via UMe. The follow-up to 2014's "Simplicity" was produced and co-written by Collen.

Appeals Court Sides With LED ZEPPELIN In 'Stairway To Heaven' Copyright Case
An appeals court has upheld a jury verdict finding that LED ZEPPELIN's classic song "Stairway To Heaven" was not a rip-off of SPIRIT's "Taurus".
Michael Skidmore, the trustee of "Taurus" songwriter Randy "California" Wolfe's estate, had brought the claims more than four decades after "Stairway To Heaven" appeared on LED ZEPPELIN's untitled album, better known as "Led Zeppelin IV".
In June 2016, a Los Angeles jury deliberated for about five hours before deciding unanimously in favor of LED ZEPPELIN. However, a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decided in 2018 the trial judge had made a series of errors and ordered a new hearing.
Now, the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco upheld the 2016 trial verdict that found LED ZEPPELIN did not copy "Taurus".
The entire 73-page court document can be found at this location.
Four years ago, LED ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant testified in court that he had no recollection of ever hearing "Taurus" before. "I didn't remember it then, and I don't remember it now," he said. LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page also testified that he had not copied any part of "Taurus" even though he owned five discs by SPIRIT among his collection of 4,000 vinyl records.
Enrico Bonadio, a senior lecturer in law from City University London, told Newsweek in April 2016: "I don't think that it is appropriate to consider the act of devising a tune that simply has the same 'feel' and 'groove' as another as copyright infringement. This is how music creativity often works. Musicians frequently build upon earlier arrangements and styles, and so the increasing occurrence of cases such as these should give us pause."
After the 2016 trial, plaintiff's attorney Francis Malofiy claimed he lost his case on a technicality, insisting that it was unfair the jury was unable to listen to the sound recording of "Taurus" and instead was limited to hearing an expert performance of the registered sheet music.
Malofiy received over a hundred sustained objections and "multiple admonishments" during the ZEPPELIN trial, with the band's publishing company Warner/Chappell Music filing documents asking the judge to order the plaintiffs to pay over $613,000 in costs for defending against the lawsuit.
This is a COMPLEX, 70+ page opinion, but the bottom-line is that the court upheld a jury verdict clearing Led Zeppelin of all wrongdoing. pic.twitter.com/3yISno0DhR

KISS Cancels Meet-And-Greets With Fans Over Coronavirus Concerns
KISS has scrapped its previously announced meet-and-greet events on the "End Of The Road" tour due to the unfolding coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
KISS manager Doc McGhee released a statement announcing the cancelation, explaining that the bandmembers "have been advised to temporarily" call off these events as authorities struggle to keep people out of crowded places as the virus continued to spread.
"Our Meet and Greets have always offered us and you our fans a unique opportunity to literally stand shoulder to shoulder together," McGhee said in the statement. "After many discussions with experts in the field, we have been advised to temporarily cancel these events given the reality that we do this nightly for a hundred or more fans. Shows will continue as scheduled and we look forward to resuming our time with you backstage."
Around 100,000 people worldwide have contracted the coronavirus and more than 3,000 people have died — the majority in China.
According to the Centers For Disease Control And Protection (CDC), coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person — between people who are in close contact with one another (within about six feet), and through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
The agency is recommending that people avoid "close contact" with anyone showing flu-like symptoms.
As the disease officially called COVID-19 continues to spread, concert organizers have been canceling or postponing events across the globe.
Preliminary estimates suggest that the death rate associated with COVID-19 is between one and two percent, which is higher than the average death rate associated with seasonal flu strains, at around 0.1 percent.
KISS is in the middle of the "End Of The Road" farewell tour, which is scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021 in New York City.
"End Of The Road" kicked off in January 2019 in Vancouver and resumed on February 1, 2020 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

MY DYING BRIDE Releases Music Video For 'To Outlive The Gods'
The official music video for the song "To Outlive The Gods" from British doom metal veterans MY DYING BRIDE can be seen below. Directed by Hal Sinden, the clip features frontman Aaron Stainthorpe and tells the tale of a doomed love story. The track is taken from the band's latest studio album, "The Ghost Of Orion", which was released on March 6 via Nuclear Blast.
Stainthorpe states about the song: "When passion is so strong and so driven, even the Gods will be put to shame."
The new MY DYING BRIDE record features a more accessible style compared to some of the band's past, highly technical releases. "The Ghost Of Orion" features compositions not only of epic proportions but of intimate quality too, from death metal vocals to the pained cries of a vocalist in longing. The LP will raise and fall like the beautiful landscape of Yorkshire in which it was recorded.
With layer upon layer of guitars both heavy and harmonic, Andrew Craighan has created a rich soundscape that is beautifully epic, enhanced with violins and keys from Shaun MacGowan along with the ominous murmur of cello from acclaimed cellist Jo Quail. And speaking of guest artists, the wondrous voice of Lindy-Fay Hella (WARDRUNA) adds an ethereal beauty to the album. Adding his particular style of drumming this time round is Jeff Singer, whose percussion exploits have elevated the band's rhythm section to another level aided by the effortlessly stylish Lena Abe on bass guitar. Aaron Stainthorpe delivers a compelling and often disturbing performance with his own particular style of vocals offering sincere eulogies along with the visceral carnage of a soul in pain, with poetic lyrics of a quality not often seen in this genre.
The cover artwork for "The Ghost Of Orion" was created by artist Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH, SODOM).

We are very sorry."

SLIPKNOT Lands First-Ever Gold Single In U.K. With 'Duality'
SLIPKNOT's "Duality" has been certified gold in the United Kingdom.
To earn a gold certification for a single in the U.K., SLIPKNOT had to sell 400,000 units of the song.
The platinum, gold and silver certifications awarded by the British Phonographic Industry in recognition of sales milestones have included audio streaming data since June 2015, with 1,000 streams counting as one "sale."
"Duality" marks the only SLIPKNOT single to have ever achieved gold certification in the U.K. "Psychosocial", "Wait And Bleed" and "Before I Forget" have all been certified silver, representing 200,000 sales.
"Duality" is featured on SLIPKNOT's 2004 album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)".
The single peaked at No. 15 on the U.K. Top 40 and at No. 1 on the Rock chart.
SLIPKNOT's latest album, "We Are Not Your Kind", was certified silver in the U.K. last year for sales in excess of 60,000 copies.
In the U.S., "We Are Not Your Kind" sold 118,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of that sum, 102,000 were in album sales.
"We Are Not Your Kind"'s sales in the U.S. were boosted by a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with SLIPKNOT's summer 2019 tour. | +4

Former STYX Frontman DENNIS DEYOUNG: Listen To 'East Of Midnight' Single From '26 East: Volume 1' Album
Former STYX frontman Dennis DeYoung will release his new album, "26 East: Volume 1", on April 10 via Frontiers Music Srl. The 10-song LP will feature the duet "To The Good Old Days" with Julian Lennon.
The first single from "26 East: Volume 1", a song called "East Of Midnight", can now be streamed below.
"26 East: Volume 1"
01. East Of Midnight
02. With All Due Respect
03. A Kingdom Ablaze
04. You My Love
05. Run For The Roses
06. Damn That Dream
07. Unbroken
08. The Promise Of This Land
09. To The Good Old Days
10. A.D. 2020
DeYoung originally announced that this would be his last album but he has since changed his mind.
"This was supposed to be my final album but there were so many songs written that Serafino Perugino, CEO of Frontiers, suggested dividing it into two albums rather than one," DeYoung explained. "So be it. This is Volume 1, which sounds pretentious to me, but the marketing folks wanted you to know there are going to be two of them, so hey kids, there are two of them; this is Volume 1."
It all started when Jim Peterik, a fellow Chicagoan and nearby neighbor, sent a song demo to Dennis.
"If not for Jim Peterik's encouragement, talent and prodding I would not have recorded this music," said DeYoung. "He once told me that the world needed my music; to which I replied, 'Have the world text me for verification.' We collaborated from the get-go, happily and seamlessly, and at this time, we have written nine songs together, of which five will be on Volume 1. Just two Chicago guys doing what they do best, making music and having a laugh."
The collaboration with Julian Lennon came about when DeYoung wrote a verse and chorus of a song with Lennon in mind. Lennon heard the demo and said he would be honored to participate. Lennon's vocals were recorded in October at Mission Sound in Brooklyn, New York.
DeYoung shared: "The moment we sang together in the studio, it felt magical. I wrote the song specifically for our two voices. I had never met Julian previously, but I have been an admirer since 'Valotte'."
The album title "26 East" represents the birthplace of STYX. 26 E 101st Place was the address where DeYoung grew up in Roseland, on the south side of Chicago. Across the street at 39 E 101st Place lived the Panozzo twins, Chuck and John, who would go on to form TRADE WINDS in 1962, which a decade later would become the core of STYX. The cover artwork of "26 East" features three locomotives, representing the three original members of STYX leaving the Chicago train yard dreaming of bigger and better things.
In support of the release of "26 East", DeYoung will tour heavily throughout 2020.

Listen To New CODE ORANGE Song 'Sulfur Surrounding'
"Sulfur Surrounding", a brand new song from the Grammy-nominated band CODE ORANGE, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming LP, "Underneath", which will be released on March 13 via Roadrunner Records.
"Underneath" finds CODE ORANGE once again confounding expectations, piling element on element, and towering towards the sky. Rattling drum loops give way to bursts of rage as "Underneath" transforms into something colossal, daring, and resilient, setting the tone for one of the year’s most exhilarating heavy records.
Drummer/vocalist Jami Morgan stated about the new LP: "'Underneath' is about facing the duality in ourselves as individuals and as a society in an overcrowded, overexposed, all-consuming digital nirvana. Everyone has a voice and no one's seems to matter… plummet down the rabbit hole of your deepest fears, anxieties and regrets to confront the monster that has been building underneath."
"Underneath" is available for pre-order with bundles and four limited-edition vinyl colorways, each featuring a gatefold jacket with a lenticular cover, also available. Produced by Morgan and Nick Raskulinecz with co-producer Will Yip, "Underneath" features additional programming from Chris Vrenna, and was mixed by Yip and CODE ORANGE's own Eric "Shade" Balderose.
In 2017, CODE ORANGE flipped the heavy music world on its head with their breakthrough album "Forever", a collection that masterfully mixed hardcore aggression with urgent industrial textures, earning the band a breakthrough grammy nomination and top placement on several "Best of 2017" lists, including Rolling Stone's "20 Best Metal Albums of 2017", Revolver's "20 Best Albums of 2017" and The Independent's "Top 20 Rock & Metal Albums of 2017."
Last summer, CODE ORANGE made headlines in the professional wrestling world with the release of "Let Me In", their official entrance theme for WWE superstar "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. CODE ORANGE previously featured at WWE's NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III performing a rendition of wrestler Aleister Black's entrance theme alongside Incendiary's Brendan Garrone. "Let Me In" followed CODE ORANGE's 2018 release of "The Hurt Will Go On", a digital EP featuring "3 Knives" and "The Hunt" featuring Corey Taylor, as well as "The Hurt Will Go On" (Shade Remix), an official remix of CODE ORANGE's "Hurt Goes On" helmed by the band's guitarist and vocalist Shade. More recently, CODE ORANGE collaborated with a wide array of artists, co-producing Injury Reserve's "HPNGC" featuring JPEGMAFIA, as well as serving up a pair of remixes for alt-J's "Hit Me Like That Snare" and "Adeline".
Comprised of Jami Morgan (drums / vocals), Eric "Shade" Balderose (guitar / electronics / vocals), Reba Meyers (guitar / vocals), Dominic Landolina (guitar) and Joe Goldman (bass), CODE ORANGE is set to perform at an array of festivals this spring, including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 10 and April 17 and Columbus, Ohio's Sonic Temple festival on May 15.

JOEY DEMAIO Says It Was Never MANOWAR's Intention To Break Up After 'The Final Battle' Tour
Joey DeMaio has once again dismissed suggestions that MANOWAR is calling it quits, saying that people "had the wrong idea" when the band announced its "final" tour more four ago.
Back in May 2016, MANOWAR revealed that it would say "thank you", "farewell" and "goodbye" to its fans on a world tour that would be "bigger and beyond anything" the group had ever done. Calling the tour "The Final Battle", MANOWAR said that the fans who come to see the veteran metal act perform would "be left with an eternal memory; having witnessed the band that has dedicated their blood, hearts, souls and every moment of their career to true heavy metal."
Naturally, most fans assumed that MANOWAR would never play again after the completion of "The Final Battle", but DeMaio has since clarified that the band has every intention of continuing for years to come.
In a brand new interview with Summa Inferno, conducted ahead of MANOWAR's March 14 appearance at the Hell & Heaven Metal Fest in Mexico City, DeMaio addressed the band's future activities, explaining that he and his bandmates have grand plans for the coming months.
"People had the wrong idea about 'The Final Battle' tour," he said (see video below). "When we announced the name of the tour, people immediately thought, 'Oh, no. They're gonna break up. They're gonna stop forever,' which, that was never the intention. The intention was for sure to take a break for some time because we're working on a big rock opera — and I mean musical rock opera; however you wanna look at it. But it's gonna be a big epic story. And so that takes time. We can't put that together like that. And the last EP, songs that were released, will be part of this massive big epic story. So when we announced that, there was a confusion and people thought, 'Oh, no.' But that's not the story. We're here in Mexico for the first time — but not the last time."
A year ago, the 65-year-old bassist said that he was "too young to retire" and blamed "some journalists" for "reinterpreting" MANOWAR's 2016 "farewell" tour announcement in order to "sell magazines." He told Bulgaria's Z Rock Radio: "Journalists make their money by what they write and photographers make their money by having a 'wow' picture. But I'm very protective over our fans, and when people write shit that ends up affecting and causing problems for our fans, I get mad."
In a 2017 interview with "Outdoor Adventures With Jayson", MANOWAR singer Eric Adams said that he would "miss the big stage" after the band completes its final tour. He said: "This is it. We've got one last tour coming up… But all good things have to come to an end at some point."
MANOWAR released a new EP, "The Final Battle I", in March 2019. At the time, the band said that parts II and III of the trilogy would arrive at a later date, inspired by MANOWAR's adventures on the remainder of "The Final Battle".

SABATON Launches “The War To End All Wars” Lyric Video
Sabaton has launched another lyric video to support their latest album, The Great War. Check out “The War To End All Wars” below:
Historic fact regarding the song:
“At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the end of the war to end all wars transpired with the signing of the Armistice of Compiègne in 1918, which was superseded the following year by the Treaty of Versailles, but still the damage had been done, the impact of The Great War was felt around the globe. 15-19 million perished, almost half of them civilians, with another 23 million wounded. Old empires collapsed, new countries were formed, and other countries gained independence. World power changed hands and an entire generation of ideological young men and women was lost, many to the permanence of death and the survivors to disillusionment and cynicism, ‘The Lost Generation.’”
The Sabaton History Channel has released Episode 057 - "Poltava" - The Great Northern War.
A message states: "Bullets break the silent air, a wasted battleplan! It was a long and harsh march through the lands in the east, where the Swedish army of Charles XII sought to bring the Russian Empire to its knees. The Swedish king had the vision of a great victory, in which he captured Moscow and destroyed Tsar Peter I's ambitions once and for all. However, as in late June 1709, the exhausted and hungry Swedish troops finally met the Tsar in open battle near the fortress of Poltava, it all seemed impossible. A relentless and fateful battle would commence. A battle after which only one empire would continue to rise while the other would fall."
Sabaton recently released Episode 6 of their ongoing The Great Tour Vlog, stating: "In Episode 6 of The Great Tour vlogs Joakim demonstrates some hidden magic skills and Pär is your host and guide in Amsterdam, showing you some of the special effects we use on stage! In London, Sabaton receive a very special award i for something many people didn't think it would ever happen... All of these in Episode 6 of The Great Tour Vlogs. Thank you Paris, London, Amsterdam for 3 fantastic show nights - see for yourself!"
