NOMAD Announce New Album Featuring BEHEMOTH’s ORION And INFERNO

ASTAROTH INCARNATE Release Official Video For Cover Of CRADLE OF FILTH Classic "Her Ghost In The Fog"
 Toronto-based black metal band Astaroth Incarnate recently released a new EP, entitled Ascendance. It includes a cover of the Cradle Of Filth classic "Her Ghost In The Fog" featuring guest appearances from Hexenklad / former Eclipse Eternal frontman Voldemars and Alina Snowmaiden. They have released an official video for the track, which can be viewed below.

Play OZZY OSBOURNE's New 8-Bit 'Legends Of Ozzy' Video Game
 Ozzy Osbourne has launched a new 8-bit video game, Legend Of Ozzy, which you can play online.
In the game, you play as a 2-D, winged Ozzy avatar as you collect the blood to survive longer while you use the arrows to avoid monsters — wolves, devils and evil eyes.
Ozzy's new album, "Ordinary Man", serves as the soundtrack for the game, which can be found at LegendOfOzzy.com.
As previously reported, three songs from "Ordinary Man" are among this week's 40 most-played songs at American active rock radio — the first time in eight years that an artist has achieved such a feat.
This week's Mainstream Rock National Airplay chart— a Nielsen BDS-ranked tally of the genre's most frequently played songs in the active rock format — sees Osbourne's duet with Elton John, the title track of the new album, debut at No. 34. It joins "Straight To Hell", which drops two spots this week to No. 18, and "Under The Graveyard", which also drops two spots to No. 7. The latter track recently spent six weeks atop the chart.
"Ordinary Man" was released on February 21. The disc was produced by Andrew Watt, who has also produced Post Malone and brought the two artists together on two of the LP's tracks. UNCIVIL WAR Feat. Former KREATOR, WHIPLASH, HIRAX Members Streaming New Song "UNCIVIL WAR"
 Uncivil War, featuring former members of Kreator, Hirax, Whiplash and Massacre, recently completed and mixed three songs for their debut EP.
Today, the band releases the third song, "Civil War". Listen to the new song, and the previously released tracks, "S.I.N." and "Regardless Of Consequence", below.

Germany's SERUM 114 To Release New Album In September; "Freiheit" Music Video Streaming
 German rock band, Serum 114, have released their new single, "Freiheit" (engl. freedom), along with an official music video, fresh off their upcoming album, Im Zeichen der Zeit, to be released via Napalm Records on September 18.
With a resounding sizzle and the first chords, Serum 114's new single promises a bittersweet summer feeling. The passionate mid-tempo hymn breathes the feeling of an intensive gaze into far horizons and the light heaviness of memories. In an honest and authentic manner, "Freiheit" leaves space for both: a brief pause and a gloomy retrospective of moments filled with happiness. The track leaves you thoughtful at first sight, but overwhelms your mind with a feather-light feeling of cheerfulness at second glance.

Brazil's ARMORED DAWN Release New Single "Zombie Viking"; Music Video Streaming
 Armored Dawn, the Brazilian Viking metal band from Sao Paulo has released its new single, “Zombie Viking”, from their upcoming album Viking Zombie (Deluxe Edition) via The Orchard/Sony.
Recorded in Sao Paulo, the album was produced by drummer Rodrigo Oliveira and bassist Heros Trench. The deluxe edition consists of 14 tracks, including three bonus tracks, “Skydiver Of The Light”, an unplugged version of “Ragnarok”, and a live version of “Animal Uncaged”.

Armored Dawn is comprised of vocalist Eduardo Parras, bassist Heros Trench, keyboardist Rafael Agostino, guitarist Timo Kaarkoski, drummer Rodrigo Oliveira and guitarist Tiago de Moura.
The band’s latest album, Viking Zombie, was released in October of 2019 to rave reviews. The album’s first two singles, “Ragnarok” and “Animal Uncaged”, both gained huge radio exposure in the US, peaking in the top 15 on the Mediabase Independent chart. Scorpions will be taking over the Las Vegas Strip later this year with their exclusive headlining residency show. Promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, Scorpions “Sin City Nights” kicks off Saturday, July 4 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Scorpions will be joined by special guests Queensrÿche.

Scorpions, were forced to cancel their February 22 show in Sydney, Australia at Qudos Bank Arena after frontman Klaus Meine underwent emergency surgery to remove kidney stones.
Klaus and the band made up the postponed date on February 26, and the singer addressed the crowd, stating: "It feels so good to be back in Sydney tonight. Oh, yes. What can I say? It feels really good to be out on stage here tonight. First, I wanna say, sorry for 2018, and sorry for last Saturday. What a mess, you know, this kidney stone, it really knocked me out in Melbourne, and I feel so good to be back on my feet tonight."

Following two successful studio albums (The Unity, 2017 and Rise, 2018), tours with Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy and Sinner, among others, not to mention their own headlining shows and performances at renowned festivals all over Europe, the latest album release by power metal act The Unity, entitled Pride, documents the group’s consistent and at the same time impressive development.
“I’d describe our current material not merely as an evolvement, because every band evolves in one way or another. In fact, I’m pretty proud of what we’ve achieved so far, not only in musical terms but also on a personal level,” says Gianbattista Manenti, Italian vocalist of the tight unit, as he likes to refer to it, consisting of himself, drummer Michael Ehré (Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Firewind), guitarists Henjo Richter (Gamma Ray) and Stef, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboardist Sascha Onnen.

SABATON Debut "A Ghost In The Trenches" Lyric Video
 Sabaton have released an official lyric video for "A Ghost In The Trenches", featured on their album, The Great War.
Historic Fact: First Nations’ scout and marksman Francis “Peggy” Pegahmagabow, credited with killing 378 Germans and capturing 300 more, was one of Canada’s most decorated soldiers and the deadliest sniper of World War I. He earned his notoriety in the Second Battle of Ypres where he established his reputation as a sniper and scout infiltrating German trenches, the Second Battle of Passchendaele when he led a lost battalion of reinforcements into position, and the Battle of the Scarpe when he braved heavy machine gun fire to resupply his company with enough ammunition to hold their defensive position. Francis enlisted in August 1914 and stayed until after the war ended in 1919 effectively serving and surviving the entire war before returning home.
Judas Priest will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a world tour coming to the US in the fall. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Sabaton as openers.

Street Survivors: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash tells the story thru one of the survivors, drummer Artimus Pyle, who not only survived the fatal crash (that claimed the life of the band’s founder and front man Ronnie Van Zant amongst others), but who also bravely pulled the remaining survivors out of the plane wreckage before staggering towards the nearest farmhouse in rural Louisiana to seek help.

VOODOO GODS Feat. GEORGE "CORPSEGRINDER" FISHER And VICTOR SMOLSKI To Release The Divinity Of Blood Album In May
 When death metal icons like George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, guitar virtuoso Viktor Smolski, bass titan Jean Baudin and guitar god Jacek Hiro join together to form a death metal band, it reads like the membership list of the Metal Hall of Fame. This is the case with Voodoo Gods and therefore this band can be called a death metal supergroup without exaggeration.
After their first EP Shrunken Head (2008) - at that time still with Nergal (Behemoth) on the mic - and the debut album Anticipation For Blood Leveled In Darkness, the second studio album The Divinity Of Blood of this all-star band (which attaches great importance not to be called a side project) will be released on May 15 via Reaper Entertainment. The album was produced by King Diamond's Andy La Rocque, who also took care of the mixing and mastering of the record. The result is a huge and powerful death/thrash metal album which combines influences from voodooism, rituals and anti-Christian forces.
Victor Smolski states: "I can't wait to see the reactions, The Divinity Of Blood will have few surprises guitar-wise and some solos, never heard before in congregation with death metal."

DeadRisen is an explosive cocktail of older musicians with young, new school members. Together they create a metal sound that can go from blues, to classical, to thrash and beyond. The band also incorporates unique kinds of music such as Latin-flamenco overtones, but without losing heaviness.
DeadRisen is the brainchild of the respected Rivera/Bomma guitarist Rod Rivera and renowned Symphony X bassist Mike LePond, who played on some of the most important albums in metal history. The lineup is completed with some of today’s finest musicians such as Tony Stahl (Livesay) on keyboards, Dan Prestup (Midnight Eternal) on drums, and Will Shaw (Heir Apparent) on lead vocals.

INFINITE VISIONS - Former STRATOVARIUS Guitarist TIMO TOLKKI Announces Vocalist And Keyboardist For New Band
 Guitarist Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius) announces Jorge Segersbol (Ancestral Dawn, Pegasus) as vocalist and Jimmy Pitts (Eternity's End, Northtale) as keyboardist for his new band, Infinite Visions. They are joined by Alex Holzwarth (Rhapsody, Avantasia, Sieges Even) on drums.
The band is currently recording a 5-song demo to be presented to labels worldwide. Songs include "Dangerous", "Sonata Black", and "Voice Of Tomorrow".
Jorge recently recorded a medley of two Stratovarius songs, "Paradise" and "Before The Winter", to let fans hear what they can expect when Infinite Visions goes on tour and performs songs from throughout Timo Tolkki's career. Infinite Visions will not only play material from their upcoming debut album, but also Stratovarius classics, and tracks from Revolution Renaissance, Symfonia, and Avalon.
In what can only be described as "destiny", ten years ago Jorge recorded a cover of the Stratovarius gem "Black Diamond" with his previous band, Nautiluz. The Stratovarius material - along with two songs from his band Ancestral Dawn - can be heard below:

SEBASTIAN BACH: 'Anyone Is Smarter' Than Who We Have As President Now
 Sebastian Bach says that any presidential candidate is "smarter" than Donald Trump.
The former SKID ROW singer made the comment while responding to a question from a Twitter follower about his "honest thoughts on Bernie Sanders," an early favorite for the Democratic nomination.
"My honest thoughts are that voting for an actual politician to be a politician will always be better than voting for a reality TV show host to be a politician," Bach wrote. "I wish someone like @GavinNewsom would run but anyone is smarter than who we have now"
Bach, who frequently criticizes Trump's policies, also backed Alex Skolnick after the TESTAMENT guitarist publicly revealed that he will vote for Elizabeth Warren in the New York primary.
"Great choice @ewarren kicks ass", Sebastian tweeted.
Last August, Bach lambasted Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Vice President Mike Pence and other Republican leaders for their inaction on gun regulation. A month earlier, Bach made headlines when he said that he "would do a better job" running the county than Trump.
In a 2018 interview with TheRecord.com, Sebastian revealed that he voted for Hilary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
"I don't understand how anybody would accept a reality-show host as president instead of a politician," he said. "It's insanity. It's like starting a band and your first show is at Toronto SkyDome. You gotta build up to it."
Three years ago, Bach told Music Injection that things had gotten particularly bleak in the first few months after Trump took office.
"Well, since Donald Trump became president, Facebook became not fun for me," he said. "Every headline sucks, everything sucks and I get to the point where I can't take it! All of that news, constantly, day after day, week after week, it gets me down and it gets me in a bad mood.
"I don't know about everybody else, but when I read about nuclear war, I find it hard to get on with my day," he added. "I thought we got rid of that nuclear war conversation in the '70s! It gets [me] very sad and angry at the same time. Climate change makes me angry. It makes me mad that people deny that when the world is fucked. It makes me furious."
Sebastian recently confirmed that he was in the process of making the follow-up to his 2014 album "Give 'Em Hell".

Earlier this month, SLIPKNOT announced the 2020 edition of the "Knotfest Roadshow" tour, produced by Live Nation. Joining them on the trek will be special guests A DAY TO REMEMBER, UNDEROATH and CODE ORANGE.

HAVOK Releases 'Phantom Force' Music Video
 Colorado-based thrashers HAVOK will release their new album, "V", on May 1 via Century Media Records. The official music video for the disc's debut single, "Phantom Force", can be seen below. The clip, complete with a seizure warning, was directed by K. Hunter Lamar of Digital Myle and is described in a press release as "a sensory barrage of visuals that matches the punishing sound HAVOK is known for."
HAVOK lead guitarist Reece Scruggs comments on the song: "Somewhere in the middle of writing 'V', we all came together and made the decision that we needed a full-blown face peeler track. I remember David saying, 'Reign In Blood' tempo,' so I came up with something almost immediately and sent it over to the guys. And aside from some subtle stylistic details, it stayed pretty true to that original concept. 'Phantom Force' as a first single will assure our fans and skeptics that we haven't lost a step in making vicious, straight forward, non-gimmicked heavy metal."
And HAVOK guitarist/vocalist David Sanchez added the following about the lyrics of the track: "'Phantom Force' is about the mysterious deaths that happen during sleep paralysis in the Hmong people. These people fled their war-torn homeland and could not seem to escape a terrifying fate. The goal with this video was to visually represent the fear and panic that people must've felt just before their sudden nocturnal demise. Watch at your own risk..."

DYNAZTY Release "Heartless Madness" Lyric Video

Formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008, Dynazty has since released six albums in a mere 10 year window. DARK FORTRESS Premier "Pali Aike" Music Video; Spectres From The Old World Album Out Now
 Venerated black metal specialists, Dark Fortress, return with a new album, Spectres From The Old World, out today via Century Media Records. In celebration of the album release, the band have issued a video for “Pali Aike”.
Santura (guitar) about the song: “’Pali Aike’ is a song with a particularly compelling groove and a very dense atmosphere. If you wanna hear some fast stuff, though, listen to the album in its entirety!”
Morean (vocals) further explains: “An ode to the violent volcanic forces that shaped our Earth, inspired by my visit of a remote, little-known volcanic site in Southern Chile. The area had been inhabited for many thousands of years before the first European settlers arrived, and these natives called this site the ‘home of the devils’ in their language (‘pali aike’). The lyrics are a literal description of how I experienced the place - eerily haunted, scattered with sun-bleached bones left by hunting mountain lions, and filled with mirages invoked by awe-inspiring shapes and colors of moss-covered lava formations and lakes that miraculously disappear when you get close to them. The violent and tragic history of settlement of this remote corner of the world gives a morbid twist to the site’s now tranquil and peaceful aura of abandonment.”
After a six-year gap, Germany’s darkest sons continue where Venereal Dawn (2014) left off conceptually. Morean explains: “Together with the rest of the human race, the protagonist reincarnated as a disembodied creature of pure light in ‘On Fever’s Wings’, the last song of Venereal Dawn. The new album attempts to draw a picture of such a mind’s perspective on life - reincarnating as pure, massless energy. The narrator has become the fabric of the universe itself. This is where heavy physics and string theory come in.”
Spectres From The Old World is more direct, more aggressive than its predecessors. At no time in Dark Fortress’ history have they reached so far out into the darkness, only to find the domine of astronomy non-existent, the end merely an end. Recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered by V. THE ACACIA STRAIN - Listen To Their New 7 Inch Single Now
 New England metallers The Acacia Strain, known for their battering ram grooves and poignant lyrics, have dropped "D," a new seven inch and digital release today, 28th February, through Rise Records. It includes two tracks: "Feed A Pigeon, Breed A Rat" and "Seeing God," the latter of which features Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece/Nothing.

PAUL DI'ANNO Doesn't Blame IRON MAIDEN For Firing Him
 Former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno says that he doesn't blame the band for firing him.
Di'Anno recorded two classic albums with IRON MAIDEN before being dismissed over his party-heavy lifestyle and replaced by Bruce Dickinson. He went on to front a number of other bands, including KILLERS and BATTLEZONE, and released several solo records.
Speaking to Metal Hammer magazine, Di'Anno said: "I don't blame them for getting rid of me. Obviously, the band was Steve's [Harris, bassist] baby, but I wish I'd been able to contribute more. After a while, that got me down. In the end, I couldn't give 100 percent to MAIDEN anymore and it wasn't fair to the band, the fans or to myself."
Di'Anno said that he looks back very fondly on IRON MAIDEN's early albums.
"The two albums I made with the band were pivotal [to the metal genre]," he said. "Later on in my life, when I met METALLICA, PANTERA and SEPULTURA and they told me that those albums were what got them into music, it made me incredibly proud."
Paul recently announced that he will play his last-ever live show later this year at the U.K.'s Beermageddon festival.
Di'Anno has battled a number of health issues in recent years. He reportedly underwent an operation in 2016 to remove a "rugby ball-sized abscess" on his lungs and required a knee-replacement operation on both knees after getting involved in several motorcycle accidents over the years. As a result, Di'Anno was forced to sit down while performing at his most recent shows.
In March 2011, Di'Anno was sentenced to nine months in a U.K. prison after he falsely collected government benefits by claiming he suffered nerve damage to his back that prevented him from working.
Di'Anno completed his first North American tour in early 2010, 17 years after he was deported following a prison term for guns and drug offenses.

Watch KIRK HAMMETT, STEVEN TYLER, BILLY GIBBONS Perform At PETER GREEN Tribute Concert
 On February 25, METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett performed at an all-star tribute concert to FLEETWOOD MAC co-founder Peter Green at the London Palladium. The event, which was curated by Green's fellow FLEETWOOD MAC co-founder Mick Fleetwood, featured additional appearances by Billy Gibbons, David Gilmour, Jonny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, John Mayall, Christine McVie, Zak Starkey, Steven Tyler and Bill Wyman.
Fleetwood said about the show: "The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it's important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early FLEETWOOD MAC had on the world of music. Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician."

The concert took place just a few weeks after it was announced that Hammett is collaborating with Green on a book and music project for Rufus Publications. Hammett was at Abbey Road Studios in London last month to record "something very special" for the project, which will feature guest appearances by several other artists. In addition, Hammett has posted a couple of photographs with Green, including one image where Peter can be seen holding a vinyl copy of METALLICA's "Master Of Puppets" album and another where they are both holding Green's legendary 1959 Les Paul guitar — known as "Greeny" — which Hammett now owns.
Prior to the event, Hammett made a blog post on his FearFestevil.com web site in which he wrote: "I'm honored to be playing a part in the Peter Green Celebration Show being staged by Mick Fleetwood at the London Palladium. Between Mick, Billy Gibbons and Dave Gilmour I am going to be in the presence of some severe legends, and in truth, I'm completely blown away by that.
"When I acquired Greenie, I bought her because she sounded great. She's a very unique sounding guitar. I had no idea it would lead to all these different opportunities, all these different experiences, and meeting all these different people. It was coming up on 50 years since Peter Green left FLEETWOOD MAC, this tribute was happening, but no one called me until Ross Halfin called Mick Fleetwood's manager and kind of informed him about my owning the guitar and suggested I should be part of it. So Mick Fleetwood got a hold of me at the beginning of the 'Hardwired…' tour and asked if I was interested in doing this tribute to Peter Green. At the time I had to tell him I had no idea what my schedule was gonna be like with METALLICA because we were literally on the eve of our first shows for 'Hardwired…' But then three years passed and the tribute show started to develop more. Ross had kept me abreast on how it was taking shape, so I contacted Mick Fleetwood, and he was gracious enough to say I could still be part of it. So that's how I'll get to play 'Green Manalishi' at the Peter Green tribute!

ONE DESIRE To Release Midnight Empire Album In April; "After You're Gone" Music Video Streaming
 Finnish hard rockers, One Desire, have announced that their second album, Midnight Empire, will be released on April 10 via Frontiers Music Srl. Today, the band has released the first single and music video, "After You're Gone". Watch below.

One Desire released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, "Hurt" (nearly 2 million views on YouTube, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with Eclipse and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.
In the works for a little over two years, the resulting album Midnight Empire generously repays the long wait the fans have had to suffer for new music from the band. It’s a more mature, at times adventurous, album, but still with an unbelievable hookiness that fans know and love from the debut. This is simply your album of the year if you like, no LOVE melodic rock. It’s going to be quite impossible to top this.

Filled with personal, live and studio photos plus memorabilia and artworks, "Veritas: A Kamelot Legacy" tells the story of the foremost power metal band in the world.
This fully illustrated history is told by founder Thomas Youngblood along with Tommy Karevik, Oliver Palotai, Sean Tibbetts, Alex Landenburg, former bandmembers, associates, friends and colleagues.

In a 2018 interview with Metal Insider, Youngblood was asked how all the lineup changes in KAMELOT have affected the overall creative process. He responded: "In a way, it kind of helps, because, a lot of times when there were changes, you have new opportunities with different individuals. What they're capable of, those kind of, aspects always come into play. I know that one of the main songwriters now would be Oliver [Palotai], our keyboard player. Before 'Silverthorn' [2012], he hadn't really contributed to any of the songwriting. I think it opens new doors and new ideas, and everyone has kind of a feel for what the KAMELOT sound is, and what it should be, and that's really cool. Because we also use outside songwriters sometimes, like Bob Katsionis from FIREWIND has written songs for us on the last few records. And he'll come up with an idea, he'll say, 'Oh, this is a KAMELOT kind of song.' So, he'll send it to me, and, we'll take it, adapt it. And so we're kind of fortunate that we've been able to sort of forge a specific kind of style and sound just to KAMELOT, which makes it, in a way, easier no matter what happens with the lineups."
KAMELOT's latest album, "The Shadow Theory", was released in April 2018 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2015's "Haven" was helmed by acclaimed music producer Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen. Guests on the album include Lauren Hart (ONCE HUMAN), Jennifer Haben (BEYOND THE BLACK) and Sascha Paeth. The cover artwork was created by Stefan Heilemann.

MIKE PORTNOY Praises OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Surprisingly Great' New Album 'Ordinary Man'
 Former DREAM THEATER and current SONS OF APOLLO drummer Mike Portnoy has praised Ozzy Osbourne's new album, "Ordinary Man", calling it a "surprisingly great" effort with "some seriously poignant introspective life reflections."
Earlier today, Portnoy took to his Instagram to share the "Ordinary Man" album cover and he included the following message: "In all honesty, I haven't checked out a new @ozzyosbourne album in a long time...but I picked this up outta curiosity and I'm very pleasantly surprised! Great to hear @chadsmithofficial @officialduffmckagan @slash @postmalone @eltonjohn & @thisiswatt contributions taking Ozzy to some new places...(actual BEATLES-esque moments!!) But damn...these lyrics...it's pretty obvious where Ozzy's head is these days...these are some seriously poignant introspective life reflections...almost as if he's saying goodbye and this is his swan song (On that note, my only complaint would be the sequencing as that 'Holy For Tonight' should've been the last thing on the album as it's so incredibly climactic and the Posty songs should've been earlier)...but in any case, serious kudos for a surprisingly great album And Ozzy - please get well and hopefully you're not going anywhere any time soon !"
"Ordinary Man" marks Osbourne's first new solo music in almost 10 years. Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on bass and Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) on drums. Beyond the core band, "Ordinary Man" features a who's-who of Ozzy friends and collaborators, including Elton John, Slash, Post Malone and Tom Morello.
The release of "Ordinary Man" was preceded by a trio of new Ozzy classics. Epic rocker and first single "Under The Graveyard" tallied over 15 million streams and 5.3 million YouTube views on the music video. Premiered just last month, the title track and cinematic ballad "Ordinary Man" (featuring Elton John) eclipsed seven million streams. Meanwhile, the metallic burner "Straight To Hell" (featuring Slash) scored 6.9 million streams and 4.2 million YouTube views on the music video.

Chemical Dependency features the 1987 demo by Atrophy, the thrash metal band from in Tucson, Arizona.
