Metallica have announced the return of The Garage Sale with the following message:
"This year’s Garage Sale features the last remaining stock of limited-edition merch like the “Enter Sandman” Nixon Watch, Crash Course In Brain Surgery Scrub Top, Helping Hands...Live & Acoustic at The Masonic double vinyl, and more! Plus clearance deals up to 50% off.
"And we’re stepping up the prizes this time around. As usual, random orders receive used guitar strings played by James or Kirk, commemorative guitar picks, or gift certificates to the Met Store. But this week lucky customers could also receive a copy of So What! Volume 9, Issue 1 featuring art by Pushead - signed by the artist himself - as well as an autographed Through the Never lithograph (8” x 10”) or Français Pour Une Nuit on DVD - both signed by all four members of Metallica!
"The Garage Sale starts Thursday, February 27th at 1:00 PM, PST and runs while supplies last, so don’t wait!"
Visit The Met Store here.
Metallica has regretfully had to cancel their headline performances at Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival in Columbus, OH (May 15 & 17) and Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY (September 18 & 20) to allow singer James Hetfield to continue his road to recovery. A message from James follows:
"Dear Metallica Family,
"It pains me to write this, but I have to let all of you know that I cannot make it to Sonic Temple in Columbus and Louder Than Life in Louisville this year. As part of my continuing effort to get and stay healthy, I have critical recovery events on those weekends that cannot be moved. I apologize to all of our fans who have bought tickets for these festivals. We are working with the festival promoters to provide for refunds or exchanges. My intent with this statement is saying “I apologize” to each one of you. The reality is that I have not prioritized my health in the past year of touring and I now know that my mental health comes first. That might sound like a no-brainer for most of you but I didn’t want to let the Metallica team/family down and, I alone, completely compromised myself.
"Looking on the brighter side, my therapy is going well. It was absolutely necessary for me to look after my mental, physical, and spiritual health.
"I want to stress that the band will play all other announced 2020 shows.
"I am looking forward to getting back to playing and seeing all our great South American fans in April. And, of course, playing Epicenter in Charlotte, Welcome to Rockville in Daytona and Aftershock in Sacramento. We will still play two unique sets at each of these festivals.
"Beyond 2020, I am optimistic about the blessings I have been given and what the future brings. I appreciate all the great prayers and support from everyone since I went into rehab last September. Like the moth into the flame, being human in this career has its huge challenges and can be difficult. Your understanding helps the healing." - James Hetfield
Metallica reassures its fans that Metallica will appear at Danny Wimmer Presents festivals Epicenter (May 1 & 3), Welcome to Rockville (May 8 & 10) and Aftershock (October 9 & 11) as scheduled.
Says the band: "Thanks to Tool and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who have graciously offered to step in for us at Sonic Temple; Louder Than Life headliners will be announced at a later date. Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life pass holders who would like to exchange their passes to see Metallica at another Danny Wimmer Presents festival, or would like to receive a refund, will be able to do so starting this Friday, February 28th. An email will be sent out to purchasers from Front Gate Ticketing on Friday at 10:00 AM EST with complete exchange and refund details. For more information, visit SonicTempleFestival.com and LouderThanLifeFestival.com."
Multiplatinum and Grammy winning bands Red Hot Chili Peppers (recently reunited with guitarist John Frusciante) and Tool have been announced as new headliners for Sonic Temple, joining Saturday’s multiplatinum, Grammy winning headliner, Slipknot for the May 15 - 17 festival at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline Friday, May 15 while Tool will headline Sunday, May 17.
Danny Wimmer Presents founder and festival creator Danny Wimmer says, “First and foremost, I want to say how much I respect and support James for taking care of himself, and for his commitment to getting healthy. At the same time, I am also deeply devoted to providing our festivalgoers with the biggest and best festival experience in the world. As disappointed as we all are to lose Metallica, I am thrilled that Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool, dear friends of both DWP and Metallica, are stepping up on short notice to join Slipknot, keeping Sonic Temple on track to be the greatest rock festival in America.”
Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life pass holders who would like to exchange their passes to see Metallica at another Danny Wimmer Presents festival, or would like to receive a refund, will be able to do so starting this Friday, February 28. An email will be sent out to purchasers from Front Gate Ticketing on Friday at 10 AM, EST with complete exchange and refund details.
Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival and Louder Than Life are produced by Los Angeles and Louisville-based Danny Wimmer Presents, one of the largest independent producers of destination festivals in America. Additional DWP events include Aftershock, Bourbon & Beyond, Epicenter, Hometown Rising Country Music & Bourbon Festival, and Welcome To Rockville. They're also the co-creators of Rock On The Range, America's largest and most acclaimed rock festival, which celebrated its 12th and final year in 2018 with 140,000 in attendance.

MÖTLEY CRÜE Guitarist MICK MARS Is 'Almost Done' With His Debut Solo Album
Alabama musician Jacob Bunton has confirmed that he is the lead singer on MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Mick Mars's highly anticipated debut solo album.
Mars has been working on the disc — on and off — for at least the past four years. The effort is being recorded in Nashville, where Mars has lived for about seven years, with producer Michael Wagener (OZZY OSBOURNE, ACCEPT, WARRANT, SKID ROW) at Blackbird Studio.
Speaking to AL.com, Bunton, who has previously played with LYNAM and former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler, said about his collaboration with Mars: "I can tell you that I'm involved and the past several months we wrote and recorded a record and Michael Wagener produced it. The great Michael Wagener from [mixing 1986 METALLICA album] 'Master Of Puppets' and all that kind of stuff. He worked with MÖTLEY CRÜE on their very first record 'Too Fast For Love', when they did it themselves they recorded the record and then Michael Wagener mixed, and then when they got the record deal with Elektra, [QUEEN producer] Roy Thomas Baker ended up going back and remixing it. But on all of their self-released copies, it's Michael. But to make a long story short, Michael's producing the record because that was the first producer Mick worked with in MÖTLEY CRÜE, so he wanted to do his solo album, so it's been really cool. We've been recording it in Nashville and we're almost done."
Regarding what fans can expect from Mars's solo CD, Bunton said: "The songs are really cool, the record is really cool. He's such an inventive player and his riffs are insane and it's definitely going to be what people are expecting. When they hear it … It's really cool."
Last September, Mick told Billboard about the musical direction of his solo material: "[It's] not like today's music, which to me is pretty much pop metal and more growly guys. It's all cool and it's all good, and I'm just searching for something that's just a little different than that. I [also] don't want to be living in '85. It's hard to reinvent yourself, but that's what I'm doing now. I'm trying to reinvent the way that I approach music writing. I've got a lot of crap, and I've got a lot of good stuff too."
At the time of the Billboard interview, Mars said that he had been working with a vocalist named Jacob, leading some fans to speculate that he was referring to Bunton. "[He] can be a lot of different voices, and it's pretty amazing," Mick said. "I go, 'I want this kind of voice here,' and he'll pull it straight off."
In a separate interview with "Talking Metal", Mars said that his debut solo record will not sound like anybody else. "Well, I guess it's my own style," he said. "It isn't really blues. My playing has a blues element to it, of course, but it isn't what you would call a blues record. It's more of a heavier rock thing, but I don't wanna even try to 'outheavy' the heavies, you know what I mean? It's just something hopefully just a little different than what's going on now. You're not gonna hear a MÖTLEY-flavored song, except for the guitar, [because] that's me. They're gonna be a bit harder than that, but not as hard as the heavies, like MINISTRY and some of those guys."
Back in 2016, Mars released snippets of two solo songs, apparently called "Gimme Blood" and "Shake The Cage". The tracks, which were recorded at Blackbird Studio, featured singer John Corabi, who appeared on CRÜE's 1994 self-titled album. Corabi later said that he didn't contribute to the writing process for the two songs, but that he was open to collaborating with Mars on some brand new material.

BUCKCHERRY Releases First In Series Of Acoustic EPs
Californian rockers BUCKCHERRY have released "Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1", the first in a series of acoustic EPs featuring stripped-down versions of songs from the band's catalog going back to the beginning.
Says the group: "Tracks will be periodically released, but tonight we release the first two that will be available on all streaming and download services. 'Sorry' and 'Carousel' introduce the series and are available at this link. Check it out!"
Earlier this month, BUCKCHERRY singer Josh Todd told American Songwriter that the process of making acoustic versions of the band's songs thus far has been a blast. "After you've heard the song one way for a long time and when it's stripped down, it's very fun to listen to," he said. "And a lot of songs start like that. So it's always cool to get back to that and do it organically like that."
Todd also didn't rule out playing special acoustic shows in select cities. "We're trying to figure all that out," he said, adding that it is something he's "always wanted to do."
Last month, BUCKCHERRY teamed up with American rapper and songwriter Isaiah Rivera, better known by his stage name Wifisfuneral, for a remix of the band's smash hit "Crazy Bitch". The original version of "Crazy Bitch" appeared on BUCKCHERRY's multi-platinum third album, 2005's "15".
BUCKCHERRY is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Warpaint", which was released in March 2019 via Century Media/RED Music. The 12-song record was produced by Mike Plotnikoff, whose previous collaboration with the band was the aforementioned "15". | 0

SAXON's BIFF BYFORD Confirms He Suffered A Heart Attack Last September
SAXON frontman Biff Byford has confirmed to Planet Rock that he suffered a heart attack before undergoing an emergency triple bypass surgery last September. "It was a heart attack, but it wasn't like a Hollywood heart attack, [where] you drop on the floor with your legs up in the air," he said (hear audio below). "I was biking, I was on my bike — I do a lot of biking and walking. And I was getting a bit breathless. And I went to the doctor. They sent me in to the hospital straight away. One of my arteries was getting blocked. They couldn't get to it easily; it was risky. So they gave me a heart bypass. And so while they were in there, they did all three… So, yeah, they did all three. And then I came to, and that was it. I was really ill."
The 69-year-old singer feels much better now and will return to the road with SAXON in March before embarking on a solo tour in April.
A heart bypass surgery, or coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, is used to improve blood flow to the heart. A surgeon uses blood vessels taken from another area of the body to bypass the damaged arteries.
The term triple bypass refers to the number of coronary arteries bypassed in the procedure. In other words, a triple bypass means three coronary arteries are bypassed.
Byford's first solo album, "School Of Hard Knocks", was released last Friday, February 21 via Silver Lining Music.
Biff's first-ever solo tour dates begins in the U.K. in April and continues to the rest of Europe in May. The show, in the form of "An Evening With...", will be split into two halves. The first features Biff in conversation with Don Jamieson (American comedian and star of VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show") on all aspects of his life and career. After the break, Biff and his band will play some new songs, covers and, maybe, a SAXON song or two. | +2

Poland’s TRAUMA Issue "The Black Maggots" Lyric Video
Poland's longstanding death metal outfit Trauma has issued a writhing lyric video for "The Black Maggots", one of the standout tracks from the band's impending eighth studio full-length, Ominous Black. The record is nearing release next week, on March 6, through new label home, Selfmadegod Records.
Trauma delivers nine crushing new tracks on Ominous Black, composed and recorded by the band's Jarosław "Mister" Misterkiewicz. The songs were captured at the band's Traumatic Sound Studio, mixed and mastered by Wiesławscy Bros at the famous Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Vader, Hour Of Penance), and the album completed with cover artwork by Polish artist Mariusz Lewandowski (Bell Witch, Fuming Mouth, Mizmor). The new lyric video for "The Black Maggots" was created by Filip Musiatowicz of Kur Pictures.
Trauma is one of Poland's oldest and most experienced death metal acts. The band started in the late-1980s, known then as Thanatos. Under the moniker, two demo tapes were recorded, which helped them become known as one of the most interesting and musically advanced bands from the Polish metal scene. In December 1992, they changed the name to Trauma, and a few months later recorded their debut full-length, Invisible Reality. Since then, the squad has been remained continuously busy, releasing their brand of music for nearly thirty years!

MIKE TRAMP - New Album, Second Time Around, Due In May
May 1st will see the release of Second Time Around, the new album from Mike Tramp, via Target Records. And while the ex-White Lion and Freak Of Nature frontman is no rookie to releases in his own name, this time he does so with a special feeling.
"I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been asked. That if I could do it all over again, what would I change? It’s a tricky question and for an artist, sometimes an unfair one", he says. "Because when we looked back, hindsight is always 20/20 and we know it all, and familiar with the Monday morning quarterback scenario, where everyone knows where he should have thrown the ball or kicked it. What the hell did I know when I walked into the recording studio the first time in 1976 to record my first album? The answer is nothing, and I can honestly admit, it didn’t really change 10 years or 20 years later on. With every album I recorded or every tour I finished I always came home with so much more knowledge than when I started it, and always wished I’d known it all at the beginning."
"I am proud of these songs. They are like my other albums and 100% representation of who Mike Tramp is. If aliens came down to earth and happened to pick up Second Time Around as the first Mike Tramp album they heard, I would be truly proud and confident that all of my DNA, would be in this album."
Tracklisting:
"All Of My Life"
"The Road"
"Anymore"
"Come On"
"Between Good And Bad"
"Lay Down Your Guns"

TEMPERANCE Release Music Video For New Single "Start Another Round"
From blood, sweat and tears to the great victory: Temperance released their energetic new single, “Start Another Round”, fresh off their latest album, Viridian. Taking risks and playing with one’s own luck and fate are the main topics of this melodic live anthem - even if the way to success and victory is paved with bruises and disappointments, it is the grand prize and self-fulfillment that matters after all.
Highlighting the importance of determination and faith in one’s own talents, the catchy song is accompanied by an equally dynamic and adrenaline-filled music video. The breathtaking stunts and acrobatics, the cheering crowd enjoying the sound of Temperance, and the outstanding stage charisma of the band members themselves make “Start Another Round” a deeply expressive and motivating experience. The video definitely transports the positive attitude of the song and will bring a wide smile to your face.
Singer Michele Guaitoli comments: "When I first heard this track during pre-production, I immediately knew it would become one of Temperance's hymns! Energy, happiness, power, and self-development are all gathered in this track that compares our lives with gambling: if you don’t take your chances now, you never will. Are you ready to roll the dice?"

THE DEVIL'S TRADE Sign To Season Of Mist
Season Of Mist announces the signing of The Devil's Trade, the dark folk project of Hungarian singer/songwriter Dávid Makó. Season Of Mist will be releasing The Devil's Trade's upcoming full-length, The Call Of The Iron Peak, later this year. Stay tuned.
Makó comments on the signing: "In my last sixteen years of being a ghost of the Hungarian and European underground, Season Of Mist for me was always a benchmark or, rather say, a lighthouse of values that can not be faked. As an artist I can not think of any other major record label that would represent my vision of the underground better and therefore I feel beyond grateful and honored to be a part of the team with the artists I admire."

(0) - Black Metal Enigma To Release Debut Album, SkamHan, In April; “Tyndere End Hud” Lyric Video Posted
In rousing dark euphoria, Danish progressive black metal enigma, (0), lifts the veil for their debut album, SkamHan, which will be released on April 24 via Napalm Records. The offering of black, drone and post metal spiced with intense sludge and progressive influences takes the listener on a labyrinthine journey. Straight from the Danish underground, the anonymous quintet (0) presents seven explosive and dominating tracks.
The opening track, “Tyndere End Hud”, infatuates with intoxicating riffs and forceful growls, drawing its listener into the somber void. The harsh and extreme soundscapes coalescence with the hypnotizing, yet mesmerizing lyric video which picks up the aesthetics of the artfully designed album cover.
The band states: “We’re happy to release the first single from our upcoming album SkamHan, which will be released on April 24th. The lyrics are based on the poem Tyndere end Hud (Thinner than Skin). The theme is broken and fragmented relations due to inner conflicts and difference in hopes and dreams. This is our first single on Napalm Records and we’re thrilled to continue to bring music to our fans and hopefully gain new excited listeners. Enjoy!“

ROSS THE BOSS Debut "Maiden Of Shadows" Music Video
Ross “The Boss” Friedman and his band, Ross The Boss, will release their new album, Born Of Fire, on March 6 via AFM Records. Pre-order here. A video for the song "Maiden Of Shadows" can be found below.
One can’t talk about genre defining acts in the metal scene without mentioning one man: Ross “The Boss” Friedman has written music history as a founding member of Manowar and The Dictators. His influence in heavy metal and also punk is noticeable to this day.
Manowar’s first six masterpieces which saw him significantly involved in between 1982 and 1988 are immortal classics today, and that the band wasn’t able to deliver the same quality again after his departure speaks for the New York based guitarist and songwriter. Since 2006 Ross again is releasing traditional and raw epic metal which calls up memories of the Manowar masterpieces from the 80’s with its very own style.
The brand new album, Born Of Fire, is the fourth album from Friedman and his band, which arrives not even two years after their chart breaking 2018 effort, By Blood Sworn. While Ross The Boss used this time for extensive touring they built their latest epos which will excite fans worldwide seemingly effortless out of nothing.
Born Of Fire is pounding yet fresher and heavier out of the speakers than before, but isn’t lacking any of the typical Ross The Boss trademarks.
Tracklisting:
"Glory To The Slain"
"Fight The Fight"
"Denied By The Cross"
"Maiden Of Shadows"
"I Am The Sword"
"Shotgun Evolution"
"Born Of Fire"
"Godkiller"
"The Blackest Heart"
"Demon Holiday"
"Undying"
"Waking The Moon"
"Maiden Of Shadows" video:
"Denied By The Cross" lyric video:

MY DYING BRIDE Discuss "Tired Of Tears" Single In New Album Trailer (Video)
With just over a week left until British doom legends My Dying Bride unleash their new album The Ghost Of Orion, the band release the penultimate trailer detailing the making of the new record. In today's instalment, Aaron discusses the background to the band's latest single "Tired Of Tears", as well as revealing how his daughter features on a new track that will be released as part of an EP later this year.
The Ghost Of Orion will in stores on March 6 via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order the album on CD, black 2LP Gatefold, white 2LP Gatefold, red 2LP Gatefold and picture disc 2LP Gatefold here.
My Dying Bride’s three decades of misery almost came to an end several years ago. Following 2015’s universally lauded Feel The Misery album, vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe’s daughter, just five years old at the time, was diagnosed with cancer. Shocked and heartbroken, Stainthorpe put all band activities on hold while he, his immediate family, and My Dying Bride put their collective energies into eradicating what Stainthorpe called, “the cruelest of God's bitter and loveless creations.”
The high hurdles, however, didn’t stop with cancer. In 2018, returning original member and guitarist Calvin Robertshaw texted his departure, effective immediately. No reason was given or explanation provided to anyone. Then, just as My Dying Bride had regrouped after positive news that his daughter was effectively cancer free, returning drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels departed right before the band were slated to enter Mark Mynett’s studio, Mynetaur Productions.
Down two members but feeling right as rain, My Dying Bride moved on, mastered the doldrums, recording magnificent new album, The Ghost of Orion, to the joyful tears of fans across the globe, in the process.
Tracklisting:
"Your Broken Shore"
"To Outlive The Gods"
"Tired Of Tears"
"The Solace"
"The Long Black Land"
"The Ghost Of Orion"
"The Old Earth"
"Your Woven Shore"

LACUNA COIL's CRISTINA SCABBIA Plays Down Coronavirus Impact On Her Life In Italy: 'We Fear Nothing'
LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia says that she is going about her "regular life", despite the fact that Italy is struggling with the worst flare-up of coronavirus cases in Europe. Italy is now the third worst-hit country in the world after China and South Korea, with 220 cases reported and seven dead.
Earlier today, Scabbia took to her social media to write: "To all the coilers around the world who are sending me messages being worried for the virus going on right now: thank you so much for worrying but at the moment we are ok and going on with regular life. The situation is not as crazy as the media want you to believe and we are not like in 'The Walking Dead'. Freedom of information has a price to pay, let's hope we can mantain calm and civic sense without spreading useless fear. We fear nothing."
Italian authorities have yet to identify "patient zero" — the individual first infected.
Several cities and towns across northern Italy were in lockdown Monday as authorities battled to contain the virus.
People have been banned from leaving infected areas, and police have been ordered to fine anyone caught entering or leaving certain towns.
The bulk of the cases are in the northern region of Lombardy, whose capital is Milan, which is where LACUNA COIL is based.
According to Reuters, ten towns in Lombardy close to Milan, with a combined population of nearly 50,000, have been placed under effective quarantine.
The February 25 concert in Milan featuring TESTAMENT, EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Freedom of information has a price to pay, let’s hope we can mantain calm and civic sense without spreading useless fear. We fear nothing. Pic by @mauriciovillarroel.ph

FOREIGNER’s Mick Jones Talks About Opening For THE BEATLES - “I Can Still Hear Those Words ‘Come And Have A Drink With The Boys’”
British-American rockers Foreigner performed hits and tell stories in front of an Los Angeles audience at the Sirius XM studios, hosted by original MTV VJ Alan Hunter. Guitarist Mick Jones reveals he was once the opening act for The Beatles.
“I was fortunate enough to play on the same bill as them in Paris when I was a mere youngster,” he says. “And I got to hang out with them for a week. It was the Olympia theatre in Paris in 1964. I was playing with a French artist, a girl. I had recently bought a guitar on credit and it was my prize possession. It was my first Les Paul. What would happen was when we finished our set, the Beatles would come running on and the curtain would fall. One evening the curtain snagged my guitar and pulled me down on the floor. I was cursing in English and John Lennon said “he lad, I thought you were a frog. We didn’t realize you were English. Come and have a drink with the boys afterwards.” I can still hear those words - “come and have a drink with the boys.”

PORN Release Music Video For New Single "Low Winter Hope, Pt. 2"
Porn has premiered their new single/video for "Low Winter Hope, Pt. 2", off of their anticipated album No Monsters in God's Eyes, Act III.
In this final act of the Mr Strangler Trilogy and No Monsters In God's Eyes album series, the convicted serial killer Mr Strangler is facing his death, imprisoned and waiting for his execution while also being studied by psychiatrists.
Composed as a 3-piece song, "Low Winter Hope" is a song about despair. Mr Stangler is still in jail, waiting for his execution. For him, yesterday was "A lovely day", it was the summer in his head, today there is only a low winter sun shining on the dry river of hope.
After collaborating with Tom Baker (responsible for the masterings of legendary albums like Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar, NIN's Downward Spiral, Ministry's Psalm 69 or Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe), Porn gave Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Studio in Los Angeles) the task of mastering this album. Lucey previously worked with Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood and more.

EXTREME's Long-Awaited New Album Is 'Pretty Much Done'
During an appearance on this past Tuesday's (February 25) episode of "Trunk Nation: L.A. Invasion" on SiriusXM, EXTREME guitarist Nuno Bettencourt confirmed that the band is putting the finishing touches on its first new album since 2008's "Saudades De Rock".
"It's done in a sense where it's done," he said about the new LP. "As a matter of fact, Gary [Cherone, vocals] flies back in tomorrow, into L.A. He's doing a few touch-ups — some stuff that we did, a few fixes; stuff we changed, lyrics we changed in the songs. But that's it. He's doing the final touch-ups. All the guitars, bass, drums are done. Mixes are pretty much done."
As for a possible arrival date for the new album, Nuno said: "The release is really gonna depend on a label. The good thing about not releasing anything for a while is we're free and clear of, I think, anything that we had, which we're really excited about because I haven't been this excited about an album in a long, long time. It's probably one of the hungriest-sounding EXTREME albums I've ever done. It's heavy and it's full of fire. I would say that this is even probably Gary's best album he's done. This is his album, I would say."
Asked why it took EXTREME 12 years to release a follow-up to "Saudades De Rock", Nuno said: "To be honest with you, we didn't wait that long. We probably have about three to four albums done. Not 'done done,' but we did an album pretty quickly.
"One thing I always said to Gary, ever since we started this band, is I never wanna release anything that I can't wait to play people, that I just can't wait to share," he continued. "I don't wanna put out albums just for the sake of putting out albums. I loved the stuff we were doing, but then I started writing some other stuff that I liked better. And then we kind of scrapped that. Then I latched on to something where we thought we had an album done about two years ago, and then I just tapped into these three or four songs. It was a 'stop the presses' kind of moment for me, and I went, 'That's it.' It reminded me of when we kind of tapped into [1990's] 'Pornograffitti' back then, to me, where it was a big kind of uppercut. Gary refers to this album as 'Porno 2.0' every time he jokes about it, but it's very much like that kind of excitement for us."
A live package celebrating EXTREME's "Pornograffitti" album was made available in October 2016. Titled "Pornograffitti Live 25 / Metal Meltdown", it included a DVD, Blu-ray and audio CD recorded at the band's show at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Casino on May 30, 2015, where they performed the record in full. | +5

NO RAZA Release “Sail In Rot” Lyric Video Featuring VENOM INC.’s TONY DOLAN
Colombian death metal veterans No Raza have released a new lyric video for the song “Sail In Rot”. The song is taken from their new album, Transcending Material Sins, and features current Venom Inc. and former Venom and Atomkraft singer and bassist Tony Dolan. The album will be released by Noble Demon Records on March 20.
Juan Guillermo Cano: "'Sail In Rot' is a song that speaks of the ability to believe in ourselves and not deposit our destiny in things outside of reality or fanciful deities, it is a song that we invite to believe in ourselves as human beings and in our ability to build our destiny and our history."
No Raza is a death metal band formed in 1997 in Colombia, South America, now based in Florida, USA. Its amazing staging recreates the desolation of a world at war and the disposition to struggle of those who guard the truth to defend our ancestral cultures and defend what remains of a sick dying earth and demands justice and peace, to those who bring us under a power snatched from our hands.

TRIVIUM Announces 'What The Dead Men Say' Album, Unveils 'Catastrophist' Video
Florida-based metallers TRIVIUM will release their ninth album, "What The Dead Men Say", on April 24 via Roadrunner Records. The LP will be the follow-up to "The Sin And The Sentence", which came out in October 2017. That effort marked the band's first release with drummer Alex Bent, who joined TRIVIUM in 2016.
The official music video for the first single from "What The Dead Men Say", for a song called "Catastrophist", can be seen below.
"'What The Dead Men Say' is everything that is TRIVIUM," explains guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy. "On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future TRIVIUM. The TRIVIUM sound is having everything the band does — on one album."
"With the new album, we took what worked on the 'The Sin And The Sentence' and dialed it all up to 11," says bassist Paolo Gregoletto.
Guitarist Corey Beaulieu echoes that sentiment, saying: "We wanted to build on the foundation that we established with the last album. The record has all the elements that are TRIVIUM — along with all of us wanting to keep pushing ourselves creatively. This led to a highly-inspired and fast-paced writing and recording process that really captures the energy of the band."
"What The Dead Men Say" track listing:
01. IX
02. What The Dead Men Say
03. Catastrophist
04. Amongst The Shadows And The Stones
05. Bleed Into Me
06. The Defiant
07. Sickness Unto You
08. Scattering The Ashes
09. Bending The Arc To Fear
10. The Ones We Leave Behind
In a 2018 interview with the 90.3 WMSC radio show "The Metal Teddy Bear Experience", Beaulieu said that he and his bandmates "definitely" wanted to work with Josh Wilbur again on their next album. "We had a blast with Josh" during the making of "The Sin And The Sentence", he said. "Once we worked with him and became friends with him, his personality and his vibe and energy is the perfect combo with how we are as a band and how we like to work and how we like the vibe of making a record. He fit right in."
TRIVIUM will support MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD on a 55-date North American tour, which will be split into two legs. The first leg of the tour kicks off June 12 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, and wraps August 1 at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California. The second run launches October 2 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida, and runs through November 13 at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada. Additional support on the trek will come from IN FLAMES.

SCORPIONS Return To Live Stage One Week After KLAUS MEINE's Emergency Surgery (Video)
SCORPIONS singer Klaus Meine returned to the live stage with his bandmates Wednesday night (February 26), one week after undergoing surgery to remove kidney stones.
The show at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with WHITESNAKE, which was originally meant to take place on Saturday, February 22, was postponed to four days later to allow Meine enough time to recover from his operation.
This was not the first time SCORPIONS had called off a show in Sydney. Back in November 2018, the German band had to cancel its appearance in the city while supporting DEF LEPPARD on an Australian tour.
During last night's concert, Klaus told the audience that he was thrilled to be able to play music again.
"It feels so good to be back in Sydney tonight," he said (see video below). "Oh, yes. What can I say? It feels really good to be on this stage here tonight. First, I wanna say, sorry for 2018. And sorry for last [week's postponement]. What a mess. Kidney stones, they really knocked me out in Melbourne, and I feel so good to be back on my feet tonight."
Unfortunately, due to insurmountable logistical issues, the SCORPIONS and WHITESNAKE show scheduled to take place at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on Thursday, February 27 has been canceled.
After his surgery, Meine described his latest health scare on social media as "a very painful attack" and apologized for postponing the Sydney concert.
SCORPIONS are scheduled to enter a studio in Hannover, Germany in late March to begin pre-production on the new album. The LP will be recorded in Los Angeles in May and June, before the band takes over the Las Vegas Strip later in July with its exclusive headlining residency show.
