KISS Kicks Off Winter 2020 North American Leg Of 'End Of The World' Tour In Manchester: Video, Setlist
KISS kicked off the winter 2020 North American leg of its "End Of The Road" Saturday night (February 1) at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. The band's setlist included the addition of two songs, "Tears Are Falling" (from KISS's 1986 album "Asylum") and "Parasite" (from KISS's 1974 album "Hotter Than Hell"), and the removal of "Hide Your Heart" and "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll".
Fan-filmed video footage of KISS performing the two newly added songs can be seen below.
The setlist for the concert was as follows:
01. Detroit Rock City
02. Shout It Out Loud
03. Deuce
04. Say Yeah
05. I Love It Loud
06. Heaven’s On Fire
07. Tears Are Falling
08. War Machine
09. Lick It Up
10. Calling Dr. Love
11. 100,000 Years (with extended drum solo)
12. Cold Gin (with extended guitar solo)
13. God of Thunder
14. Psycho Circus
15. Parasite
16. Love Gun
17. I Was Made For Lovin’ You
18. Black Diamond
Encores:
19. Beth
20. Crazy Crazy Nights
21. Rock And Roll All Nite
In a recent interview with BackstageAxxess, KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer spoke about the current North American leg of "End Of The Road". The trek features VAN HALEN vocalist David Lee Roth in the support slot.
"First of all, this is a must-see show," Tommy said. "If you haven't ever seen KISS, this is definitely your last opportunity to come to see the show. It's something you never want to miss. At least once in your lifetime, you've gotta see the show. This show is built, as you've seen, it's the biggest one we've ever done and I'm not just hyping it. It's really incredible. We put a lot of time and effort into preparing for this in the first place. It's really paid off. The reviews, the response from fans, everybody across the board has been phenomenal. The shows have been sold out or close to sold out. I think we've played for almost two million people in 110 shows in 2019. The tour is going to go through 2020 and into '21. Our last show is going to be in New York City on July 21, 2021, but we're not announcing what venue it is yet. We have an end date now that we're going to work toward, so that gives a little more perspective to really this is the end of the road and everybody can see this is the schedule moving forward. Now is the time to come see the show. Even if you saw it last year, we're going to come out with new songs in the set starting February 1 on this leg, and revamping and freshening it up for 2020."
In a 2018 interview with Billboard, frontman Paul Stanley suggested it would be unlikely for KISS to play any obscure songs during their farewell tour.
"For all the audience saying 'When are you going to record a new album or will you play a deep cut?' Why? We have 'Detroit Rock City', 'Love Gun', 'Rock And Roll All Nite', 'Shout It Out Loud', 'Firehouse', 'Hotter Than Hell' and the list goes on and on…. There isn't room for some obscure song. Songs that are obscure are obscure for a reason."
He added, "And if we're going to please a handful of diehards, the real crazy diehards, and have 20,000 other people go, 'What's that?' or "Let's go out and get a Coke,' then we are failing the masses. We wouldn't do that."
KISS's current lineup consists of original members Stanley and Gene Simmons, alongside later band additions, Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).
Formed in 1973 by Stanley, Simmons, drummer Peter Criss and lead guitarist Ace Frehley, KISS staged its first "farewell" tour in 2000, the last to feature the group's original lineup.
In its 46-year career, KISS has accumulated 23 gold and platinum albums — more than any other U.S. band. | +1

Watch DAVID LEE ROTH's Entire First Concert As Support Act For KISS
VAN HALEN singer David Lee Roth played his first show as the support act for KISS last night (Saturday, February 1) at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. His eight-song set consisted primarily of his old band's biggest hits, plus "Just Like Paradise", which was the lead single from Roth's second solo album, 1988's "Skyscraper".
David's setlist was as follows:
01. You Really Got Me (THE KINKS cover) (from VAN HALEN's "Van Halen", 1978)
02. Just Like Paradise (from "Skyscraper", 1988)
03. Unchained (from VAN HALEN's "Fair Warning", 1981)
04. Jamie's Cryin' (from VAN HALEN's "Van Halen", 1978)
05. Panama (from VAN HALEN's "1984", 1984)
06. Dance The Night Away (from VAN HALEN's "Van Halen II", 1979)
07. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (from VAN HALEN's "Van Halen", 1978)
08. Jump (from VAN HALEN's "1984", 1984)
Fan-filmed video footage of the entire concert can be seen below.
Roth told Van Halen News Desk that his band is recreating the sound of VAN HALEN's albums and his own solo work, not VAN HALEN's live performances.
"We do not sound like VAN HALEN live," he said. "You have not heard this. VAN HALEN live is lead guitar, bass, drums, sing. Here, we bring it the way a record brings it. To do that requires two or three guitars. We have five people hollerin'. It's a big rock sound. It's not [1985's] 'Just A Gigolo'. It's not brass band. That was a quickie vacation."
Roth's "Rocks Vegas" Las Vegas residency kicked off in early January and is scheduled to play six more dates in March at the House Of Blues. Backing the 65-year-old singer are lead guitarist Al Estrada from the VAN HALEN tribute band ERUPTION, rhythm guitarist Frankie Lindri, bassist Ryan Wheeler, keyboardist Danny Wagner and drummer Mike Mussleman.
This isn't the first time David has set up shop in Sin City. Back in 1995, Roth completed a Las Vegas engagement at Bally's Hotel and Casino and another short run at MGM Grand.
VAN HALEN has been inactive since it completed its U.S. tour in October 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.
Roth recently launched Ink The Original, a skin-care line specifically made to preserve, protect, and highlight tattoos and keep them from fading. | 0

GOJIRA's MARIO DUPLANTIER Releases 'Minotaur' Drum Composition
Drummer Mario Duplantier of French progressive metallers GOJIRA has released a drum composition he recently created. Dubbed "Minotaur", the solo "has been composed around a drum pattern I particularly love, the alternate single stroke roll 'between the hands and the feet,'" he explained. "I've never used it with GOJIRA, but this effect can be spectacular."
The "Minotaur" video, which was directed by Anne Deguehegny, can be seen below.
In a 2014 interview with U.K.'s Rhythm magazine, Mario revealed that METALLICA's Lars Ulrich was "maybe the only influence" he had when he first picked up a pair of drum sticks. "I started playing drums at 12 years old," he said. "At that time my big brother was in a band and was a big influence on me. He introduced me to music and spontaneously I wanted to play drums.
"Maybe the first time I saw a video with the big thing called drums was Lars Ulrich with his white Tama drums," he continued. "That was a big shock for me and right away I wanted to try. Lars was my biggest influence, maybe the only influence I had starting out. After that, I started listening to more metal and got into SEPULTURA with Igor Cavalera on drums, Igor and Lars were my biggest influences and then I discovered more extreme music."
GOJIRA has spent the last couple of years touring and working on the follow-up to 2016's "Magma" album.
"Magma" earned GOJIRA its first-ever Grammy nominations for "Best Metal Performance" and "Best Rock Album." GOJIRA's crushing track "Silvera" received a nomination for "Best Metal Performance", while "Magma" was nominated for "Best Rock Album" at the awards.

Watch MACHINE HEAD Perform Cover Of IRON MAIDEN's 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' In Fort Lauderdale
Fan-filmed video footage of MACHINE HEAD performing a cover version of the IRON MAIDEN classic "Hallowed Be Thy Name" on January 27 at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida can be seen below (courtesy of Sonic Perspectives).
Back in 2008, MACHINE HEAD recorded its rendition of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" for Kerrang! magazine's "Maiden Heaven" collection, which featured bands covering tracks from MAIDEN's legendary career. At the time, MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn said that he was excited to be a part of the project.
"When I was a kid, IRON MAIDEN were a very big deal to me and the influence they had on MACHINE HEAD has been huge," he said. "We decided to cover 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' for this CD because it's just such a great song — in fact, it's a classic. I just love the way the vocal line goes up and down — so dramatic."
Last fall, MACHINE HEAD completed the first European leg of its 25th-anniversary tour for the band's classic debut, "Burn My Eyes". Each show on the trek consisted of two parts: part one saw Flynn and bassist Jared MacEachern performing alongside new recruits, Polish guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (DECAPITATED) and British drummer Matt Alston (DEVILMENT, EASTERN FRONT); while part two featured "Burn My Eyes" played in its entirety for the first time ever, with original drummer Chris Kontos and guitarist Logan Mader joining in.
The North American leg of the "Burn My Eyes" 25th-anniversary tour kicked off in Phoenix on January 16 and will continue across New York, Toronto, Chicago and Denver, wrapping up at the legendary Fox Theater in Oakland, California on February 21 and House Of Blues in Anaheim, California on February 22. | +4

GUNS N' ROSES Shares Stage With Rapper SNOOP DOGG At BUD LIGHT SUPER BOWL MUSIC FEST
GUNS N' ROSES was supported by rapper Snoop Dogg when the band performed last night (Friday, January 31) at the second Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
After the concert, Snoop posted an Instagram photo of him posing on stage with GUNS N' ROSES members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, and he included the caption: "New member of the group @gunsnroses"
Duff shared Snoop's photo and wrote: "Amazing show tont Miami! So damn cool to share a stage with the legend @snoopdogg #Repost @snoopdogg"
When this year's Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest was first announced, the event's co-executive producer Amit Dhawan said in a statement: "The Super Bowl is America's biggest cultural moment, so it attracts people from a variety of different worlds — it also is a mix of local, national, and international guests. We plan Super Bowl Music Fest to appeal to the broad demographic of Super Bowl weekend and book different genres nightly — this year, we have hip-hop for EA Sports Bowl on Thursday, classic rock on Friday, and global pop on Saturday."
GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour, which began almost four years ago, recently became the No. 3 highest-grossing tour in the history of Billboard Boxscore.
Launched in April 2016, "Not in This Lifetime" features classic-lineup members Slash, McKagan and Rose backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
GUNS kicked off its long-rumored and long-awaited reunion tour with a club show in Hollywood and appearances in Las Vegas and at California's Coachella festival.
The band is now reportedly going to work on a new studio album — the first under the GUNS banner since 2008's "Chinese Democracy" and the first to feature Rose, Slash and McKagan since 1993.

SHAKRA Streaming New Single "Turn The Light On"
Swiss hard rockers, Shakra, have released a new single for "Turn The Light On", a track from their upcoming album, Mad World, to be released on February 28 via AFM Records. Listen below, and pre-order the album here.
For a quarter of a century, Shakra has been part of the music circus. Only someone who's been in a band before, knows how fragile and exhausting this kind of social fabric is. 25 years is a very long time and only a few acts can make this distance. Shakra made it and it doesn't look like they'll give up sometime soon. Quite the contrary.
Guitarist, Thom Blunier, points out: "I'm extremely proud and thankful, that this band is stil existing after 25 years of rock 'n' roll. Those of you who have a clue the difficulties of existing as a band know, how precious and exceptional this is. I am ready for the next 25 years!"
Tracklisting:
"Fireline
"Too Much Is Not Enough"
"A Roll Of The Dice"
"Mad World"
"When He Comes Around"
"Thousand Kings"
"I Still Rock"
"Fake News"
"When It All Falls Down"
"Turn The Light On"
"Son Of Fire"
"New Tomorrow"

KILLITOROUS Reveal “Married With Children” Video
Canada's tech-death comedy metal band Killitorous (which consists of members from Annihilator, Suffocation, First Fragment and more) have revealed their new video “Married With Children”, the first single off their new album The Afterparty.
The band comments: "The song is not based around the character Al Bundy, but the song is based more around the character Glen (who is also portrayed by dctor Ed O'Neill) from Wayne's World and visits the idea of what he did before he started serving donuts, and why he is so damaged emotionally."
The Afterparty is a follow up to 2014's Party, Grind which was also co-produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Donaldson (Despised Icon, The Agonist, Shadow of Intent) at The Grid in Montreal, Quebec.
The album features three guitars (which recording wise was a nightmare), tons of blast beats, brutal bass and vocals, of course tons of movie references, cartoon parodies and endless phrases maintaining the fine art of partying.
There will be tons of guest features including members from: Voivod, Allaegeon, Cryptopsy, Erimha and more.
Release dates is set for April 20.
The tracklisting is as wacky and weird as usual, with a constant barrage of twisted pop-culture humor:
“All Hail The Starchild”
“Married With Children”
“Rodney Dangerfield Of Dreams”
“Eat Your God Alive”
“Slavesphere”
“Re-anima-tomatron”
“30 Minutes”
“Insanity As A Pathway To Fame & Fortune: The Tyrannical Tirades Of Mike Tyson”
“Total Protonic Reversal”
“King Diamond Dallas Page”

THUNDERMOTHER Signs With AFM Records
AFM Records has announced the signing of Thundermother
High Voltage Rock 'n' Roll – Thundermother from Stockholm are the breathing and living embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll. Founded in 2009 by guitar-heroine Filippa Nässil, the band started to rise steeply on the international stage after singer extraordinaire, Guernica Mancini, joined two years ago. With her blues-soaked voice that has invited comparison to several classic queens of rock music, these Swedish ladies have hit the jackpot. Driven by the hard-hitting pounding of drummer Emlee Johansson, these heavy rocking girls are sticking it to anyone claiming that rock ‘n’ roll is a male domain.
Front woman Guernica Mancini states: “On stage we are musicians - no matter if man or woman.”
Touring relentlessly and with three albums under their belt, Thundermother are currently working on their highly anticipated fourth album, but before will prove its live qualities once more when supporting legendary Aussie rockers Rose Tattoo on their tour in March.
Jochen Richert (CEO AFM Records): “Thundermother – rock ‘n’ roll – this is the slogan we will carry out to the world, and it’s one that fits like a glove. Rarely the entire team has been so convinced that we have a very special band here! We’re glad to be the new label home for the Swedish riff Valkyries. Thundermother have huge potential, not only in the rock world but even to reach way beyond that into mainstream. We will work hard in all areas to establish the association Thundermother - rock ‘n’ roll very quickly.”
Michael Thiesen und Eric Burton (Thundermother Mgmt): “We’re happy that we found a strong label partner in AFM, who entirely understand the ideas of the Thundermother team, and are willing to go new, innovative ways when it comes to marketing. Thundermother right now are the hottest female rock act, so we have high goals and are looking forward to the collaboration with AFM Records.”

AD INFINITUM To Release Chapter I: Monarchy Album In April; "Marching On Versailles" Music Video Posted
Ad Infinitum invites you into your favourite worst nightmare!.The symphonic metal fire-starters will conquer your mind with their first single, “Marching On Versailles”, off of their upcoming debut album, Chapter I: Monarchy, to be released on April 3 via Napalm Records.
The spellbinding debut grabs your demons by the horns with an intoxicating symbiosis of boasting, energetic and uncompromising metal, set atop a rousing journey throughout history. Escaping the Black Death and transporting you to another era, “Marching On Versailles” breaks in with thrashing drums and stormy guitar riffs. The first single mirrors a bittersweet prologue containing their haunting expedition through the constraints of monarchy. Charismatic singer Melissa Bonny, known from Rage Of Light and as the Queen of the Damned with the Warkings, casts a spell over her audience. Her finely differentiated spectra spanning crystal clear vocals and deep, vibrant growls emphasize the symphonic soundscapes with vigor.
Along with a visually stunning music video, Ad Infinitum underlines their magnificent mysticism - the band’s impressive dark plague masks guide you through the hammering jaws of time. Spiced with a dash of the theatrical, they let the presence flow through to the tips of your fingers and embark on a frantic voyage through the depths of time.
Ad Infinitum on “Marching On Versailles”: “After many months of work in the shadows, it is a pleasure and almost a relief to finally reveal the first single of our debut album Chapter I: Monarchy. We hope that this one and the following ones will captivate and seduce you. Doctors strongly advise to play it loud and repeatedly.”
Get in your darkest nightmares and watch “Marching On Versailles” below.
With Chapter I: Monarchy, Ad Infinitum puts a spell on the world and surges right into the heart of epic symphonic metal with full force. Melissa Bonny’s multi-faceted vocals fill every fiber of the anthemic “Demons” - from powerful, fragile highs to deep growls, the track will send shivers down your spine. The energetic and equally melodic soundscapes of the vigorous ballad “Fire and Ice“ perfectly illustrate the heart-wrenching tones of Ad Infinitum.
Pre-order Chapter I: Monarchy here.
Ad Infinitum states: “The time has come, finally! We are very proud to present to you the first chapter of the band's history. We invite you to listen to it daily... You know what they say... Ad Infinitum everyday keeps the doctors away. Or does it?”

"After an amazing first year with results including 95% job placement rates, we’re very proud to announce that All Within My Hands has just launched year two of the highly successful Metallica Scholars program, a major workforce education initiative. German rock legends, Scorpions, continue to release classic live footage. Watch the band perform "We'll Burn The Sky" at Reading Festival in August 1979.
Speaking to Detroit’s WRIF radio station, Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jab spoke about the band’s new upcoming album.
Jabs said, “We know we got older, but inside, we still feel young, and we are very energetic. The shows are great. And writing songs and playing the songs, it feels like it always has, very energetic, powerful. And we have still great ideas. Good songwriting going on at the moment. And this album should be very powerful."
Metallica and Slipknot producer Greg Fidelman will be handling the controls for the record and Jabs was asked will follow a “heavier” direction than their previous releases. "I think so. Because we want it, and everybody says, 'Do something like in the old Blackout days, Love At First Sting. So, that is the idea. We're just a little bit older than we were back then, but that doesn't really matter."
Scorpions recently announced that they will be taking over the Las Vegas Strip later this year with their exclusive headlining residency show. Promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, Scorpions “Sin City Nights” kicks off Saturday, July 4 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. THE UNITY Featuring GAMMA RAY, PRIMAL FEAR Members To Release Pride Album In March; "We Don't Need Them Here" Music Video Streaming
German-Italian melodic metal act, The Unity, have released a video for the new song, "We Don't Need Them Here", featured on their forthcoming studio album, Pride. You can watch the video below.
Following two successful studio albums (The Unity, 2017 and Rise, 2018), tours with Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy and Sinner, among others, not to mention their own headlining shows and performances at renowned festivals all over Europe, the latest album release by power metal act The Unity, entitled Pride, documents the group’s consistent and at the same time impressive development.
“I’d describe our current material not merely as an evolvement, because every band evolves in one way or another. In fact, I’m pretty proud of what we’ve achieved so far, not only in musical terms but also on a personal level,” says Gianbattista Manenti, Italian vocalist of the tight unit, as he likes to refer to it, consisting of himself, drummer Michael Ehré (Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Firewind), guitarists Henjo Richter (Gamma Ray) and Stef, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboardist Sascha Onnen.
In view of increasingly nationalistic tendencies worldwide and misconceived patriotism it may not be altogether innocuous to voice a pride in your own achievements, yet pride in itself is apolitical and lacks any kind of political undertones. So there are not only valid but also exclusively artistic reasons that made The Unity decide to combine their eleven new songs (plus intro) under the heading of Pride. Every single note speaks of that homogeneity, no matter how noisy or how quiet, tough or mellow, determined or laid-back its delivery.
Pride will be released via SPV/Steamhammer on March 13 as 2CD digipak, 2LP gatefold, download and stream. Pre-order here.

VIOLATION WOUND Featuring AUTOPSY Mastermind CHRIS REIFERT Pay Tribute To Late MOTÖRHEAD Frontman With "The Day Lemmy Died"; Audio Streaming
Californian act Violation Wound was born in a beer and whiskey soaked basement in June of 2013, driven to create 100% real punk rock. Nothing trendy, nothing wimpy, nothing pretentious, just fuelled by aggression and kick ass riffs.
Continuing on from With Man In Charge, the returning lineup of Autopsy (and former Abscess) mastermind Chris Reifert on guitars and vocals, alongside bassist Joe Orterry & drummer Matt O’Connell, indulge in a new ferocious attack of violent and head-pounding punk, rupturing the eardrums with Reifert’s trademark rabid delivery during new album Dying To Live, Living To Die, out now via Peaceville Records.
Recorded at Hyde St. Studios in San Francisco, Ca, in July 2019 and engineered by Sam Zuerner, Dying To Live, Living To Die is a sneering and unrelenting assault on the current world climate amid its demise, and the continuing deterioration of minds and societies.
The artwork was created once more by notable artist Wes Benscoter (Autopsy, Slayer, Nile), with another stellar dark & morbid classic. Order here and listen to the track "The Day Lemmy Died" below.

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Wants To Team Up With ROB HALFORD For Cover Of QUEEN's 'Under Pressure'
Former JUDAS PRIEST singer Tim "Ripper" Owens says that he would love to record a duet with the band's longstanding frontman Rob Halford.
Owens joined PRIEST in 1996 after being discovered when the band's drummer was given a videotape of him performing with the PRIEST cover band BRITISH STEEL. JUDAS PRIEST at the time was seeking a replacement for Halford, who has since rejoined the band.
Owens recorded two studio albums with JUDAS PRIEST — 1997's "Jugulator" and 2001's "Demolition" — before Halford's return to the group.
In a brand new interview with the "Ouch, You're On My Hair" podcast, Owens was asked if there has ever been any talk of him collaborating with Halford on a new project. He responded (hear audio below): "We've never talked about it, which would be pretty awesome. Rob and I are friends, and it's great… I would love to do something with Rob, and I've always thought about it, and I think the fans would love it. Even if we do a song or two.
"Somebody laughed when I said this, but for the last 15 years, I've always said, man, I would love to do the song 'Under Pressure' [the 1981 QUEEN hit co-written by and featuring David Bowie] with Rob. It would be a great over. And it's funny, 'cause [that song features] two of my favorite singers, Freddie [Mercury] and especially David Bowie — I absolutely love David Bowie — and for Rob and I to do it, I think it would be an amazing thing.
"I think it would be awesome to work with Rob," he added. "And I'm still great friends with the PRIEST camp and great friends with Rob. So it would be pretty awesome."
Addressing Halford's recent comment that he is "up for" performing songs written and recorded during the years when PRIEST was fronted by Owens, Tim said: "I would love to hear PRIEST [perform some of the songs I recorded with the band]. Listen, their 50-year celebration [in 2020], you just can't ignore the almost 10 years I was actually in the band. I know they have kind of ignored it, and I understand why, but at this point, it would be cool to throw in a 'Burn In Hell'. The songs that I sang Rob would sing so good, and it would be really awesome to hear; 'Burn In Hell' would be a perfect one for him to do."
This past October, JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner said that "Hell Is Home" is one of his favorite songs from the Owens era.
In 2020, PRIEST will celebrate its 50th anniversary by embarking on a special tour.

DRAGONFORCE's SAM TOTMAN Says Former Bassist FRÉDÉRIC LECLERCQ Was 'Never The Biggest Fan' Of Power Metal
DRAGONFORCE guitarist Sam Totman spoke to the "Scars And Guitars" podcast about the band's latest addition, bassist/vocalist Alicia Vigil (VIGIL OF WAR). Asked if she is a permanent replacement for DRAGONFORCE's longtime bassist Frédéric Leclercq, who left the band last August, Totman said: "Well, we're gonna try it out. You don't really wanna get someone in the band [permanently] before you [get] to know them. So we're gonna try her out for a couple of tours and see if we get on, see if the fans like her… So far, everyone's been positive. We're kind of getting her in to see how it goes, basically, and then decide after that. We had our producer [Damien Rainaud] filling in on bass for a couple of tours already, and he was really cool; that went well. So we'll just try it out with her and take it from there. But, yeah, we don't really know yet."
Totman also addressed Leclercq's decision to leave DRAGONFORCE after a 14-year stint with the group. Sam said: "I think he just wasn't feeling it anymore. He was never the biggest fan of this style of music in the first place, which is kind of funny, 'cause he was in [the French power metal band] HEAVENLY as well [before he joined DRAGONFORCE]. So he spent most of his life in power metal bands, but he's not even into power metal that much. I think he just kind of had enough. He didn't really like our new artwork and the whole new theme of the cartoons and that whole thing. We didn't really talk about it, but you could just tell he wasn't that into it anymore. And then I think the KREATOR thing kind of came up just by chance at the same time. I think they asked him to fill in for some gigs and then [they told him], 'If you wanna be a permanent [member], you can.' It kind of all fell into place. If he hadn't had the KREATOR thing, he probably would have stayed, but it just kind of worked out fine. But it's all good anyway. You don't want someone there that's not totally into it. So it kind of worked out fine. We're still mates and all that."
Released last September, DRAGONFORCE's latest album, "Extreme Power Metal", is available as a CD digipak, 2LP+DL and digital. Produced in Los Angeles, California by Damien Rainaud at Mix Unlimited, "Extreme Power Metal" was also recorded, in part, on guitarist Herman Li's livestream channel on Twitch with participation from the fans.
DRAGONFORCE will be streaming its world tour live on twitch.tv/hermanli. Livestreams will include performances, backstage and special guest appearances.

PAUL STANLEY Was 'Blown Away' By DEMI LOVATO's Performance At GRAMMY AWARDS
KISS frontman Paul Stanley says that he was "blown away" by Demi Lovato's performance at this past weekend's Grammy Awards.
The former Disney actor gave her first performance in a year and a half at this year's ceremony, singing a song that she wrote just a few days before being hospitalized in July 2018. At the time, Lovato was rushed from her home in the Hollywood Hills to a Los Angeles-area hospital after paramedics found her unconscious. She was reportedly treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment for narcotics overdoses.
Earlier today, Stanley shared a The Atlantic article about Demi's comeback appearance and he included the following message: "Rewatching the Grammys and once again blown away that the most powerful spectacle of the evening was a woman standing at a piano baring her soul and struggles while reaching amazing heights with her lyrics and melody. Demi Lovato... WOW!"
Upon starting the Grammy performance of the song, titled "Anyone", Lovato was too choked up to continue and had to restart. But she carried on and was greeted by a standing ovation at the end.
KISS's "End Of The Road" farewell tour kicked off in January 2019 in Vancouver and will resume on February 1 in Manchester, New Hampshire. The last concert of the trek will take place on July 17, 2021 in New York City.
Rewatching the Grammys and once again blown away that the most powerful spectacle of the evening was a woman standing at a piano baring her soul and struggles while reaching amazing heights with her lyrics and melody. Demi Lovato... WOW! @RecordingAcad https://t.co/hiFWuKpLKP

Ottawa’s ECLIPSER Debut "Cruel Is The Light To Thee" Video
Canadian blackened death unit Eclipser has unveiled the video accompaniment to "Cruel Is The Light To Thee". The track comes courtesy of Pathos - the band's debut full-length released last fall via Noise Salvation Records.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Topon Das' (Fuck The Facts) Apartment 2 Studio and engineered by Scott Burniston, Pathos delivers an emotionally disturbing sonic landscape comprised of dense and transcendent atmospheres interrupted by frantic, anxiety-inducing riffs, blastbeats, and a multi-dimensional barrage of ravenous screams, blood curdling shrieks, and harsh guttural lows.
Conceptually, Pathos is a cryptic and abysmal collection of bleak philosophies, exploring esoteric theologies such as hermeticism and alchemy. Laden with contrast between religious and blasphemous connotations and the overall notion that the human condition is something to overcome, the record is as pulverizing as it is thought-provoking.
Tracklisting:
“On Mournful Waves Of Eternal Dusk”
“Coagulation”
“The Key Of Grievous Calamity”
“Dismal Luminaries”
“Cruel Is The Light To Thee”
“Sorrow Spirals”
“Pathos”

Exclusive: STARGAZER Premiers “Shadow Chaser” Video
“Shadow Chaser” is the new single and official video off the new Stargazer album The Sky Is The Limit, released in October last year via Mighty Music. BraveWords is premiering the new single; check it out below!
“With ‘Shadow Chaser’ you can think about the state of mind when you are always tending to, and nursing all the bad and dark elements in your past or present, and have little faith in things getting better in the future. The slow churning heavy sound of the song underpin the darker contents, while the harmonies brings some light to the shadows,” vocalist Tore André Helgemo comments.
Stargazer’s first album received great reviews from the hard rock-based media all over Europe back in 2010. In 2019, nine years on, Stargazer was back with their second album entitled The Sky Is The Limit. After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, DAD, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer were now ready to take on the world.
With a worldwide release provided by Mighty Music at hand, Stargazer set out to be a beacon on the hard rock scene. A bright shining star emerging with energy and power, capacity and skills, and a lyrical universe that both explores and recognizes the heart of darkness in humanity, yet fighting with passion always to light up a light in the gloom of nothingness. With Stargazer, you can hear and see evidence of the will to keep on keeping on.
If you are into “in your face” classic melodic hard rock with elements of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Dio and Deep Purple; then Stargazer is a band for you.

Exclusive: JUSTIFY REBELLION Premieres “Prisoner In Time” Video
Denmark’s Justify Rebellion, who can be considered a mix between Metallica and Volbeat, will release their new album The Ends Justify The Means in March 2020 via Mighty Music. BraveWords is premiering their new single and video for “Prisoner In Time”!
“Prisoner In Time” deals with the busy man that chooses to prioritize his career instead of his loved ones and his only one. The song centers around the feeling of powerlessness, which one can experience when one chooses to opt out the loved ones and instead focus on the job, to achieve a certain status in life and with the life. The man is bound by the limited amount of time, which is available, and doesn’t have the surplus to take care of his partner.
The rebellion is here to stay, proven by this monstrosity of a heavy metal album, which takes its inspiration from several metal genres. With this new album you can easily tell that the kids from the first album Unleashing The Beast have grown into testosterone-filled heavy metal hailers. Their new album is mainly centered on the darker aspects of humanity and society, with the topics on the record varying from greed, war, lust and drugs to vulnerability and self-realization.
The riffs are heavier, the solos are faster, the drums are punchier, and the bass is rumbling its way to mayhem. Never has Justify Rebellion felt so strong and powerful! With this masterpiece of a track list, nothing can take these guys down. Justify Rebellion has turned up the pace, but also made room for some thunderous and slower anthems for fans to break their necks to.
BraveWords previously premiered their video "Crowd Control"; check it out:
Line-up:
Guitar/Vocals: Lukas Rautenberg
Lead Guitar: Nikolaj Madsen
Bass: Stephen Torpe Andersen
Drums: Nikolaj Ersbøll Ross
