NEKROGOBLIKON Release “We Need A Gimmick” Music Video; Heavy Meta Album Out Now

Nekrogoblikon, the Los Angeles-based band who describe their music as “goblin metal” and became Internet sensations with their day-in the-life-of-a-goblin video for “No One Survives”, return with new album, Heavy Meta, out now.

Nekrogoblikon celebrate today’s release of Heavy Meta with the new video for “We Need A Gimmick”. The clip, fashioned as a lesson from band mascot, John Goblikon, on ways Nekrogoblikon can achieve internet fame features the sextet in various scenarios - from smooth jazz crooners to hip hop impresarios to EDM ravers and finally, as a corpse-painted black metal band.

"For the last three years, Scorpion, Bready, Raptor, Fingers, Diamond Joe, John Goblikon, and I have been trying to come up with some kind of schtick to gain more notoriety for Nekrogoblikon,” explained guitarist Goldberg. “This video documents the process of us figuring that out."

Heavy Meta was produced by Matt Hyde (Deftones, Children of Bodom), Nicky Calonne and Nekrogoblikon with Matt Good mixing. Heavy Meta cover illustration by Aleksander Vujovic.

“A thousand years ago, we began writing an album," explained Nekrogoblikon singer, Scorpion. “Then we spent 998.5 years dicking around in the cave networks of rural Kentucky. After we were all spelunked out we decided we might as well finish the album. The album is Heavy Meta."

The 10-song album arrives via the multimedia outfit’s new label, Mystery Box, which is distributed by Razor & Tie. Mystery Box will serve not only as the band’s label but also as a freestanding production company headquartered in downtown Los Angeles.

“We're excited to finally announce the launch of Mystery Box, which will not only serve as a label for Nekrogoblikon and other musical acts, but also as a creative hub for artists and projects outside of the music realm. It's going to be a lot of fun,” said guitar player Alex “Goldberg” Alereza.

слава богу, это ошибка, а то я подумал, что даксайдовцы баян вытащили.
клип веселенький, хотя до No One Survives не дотягивает. а песня даже рядом не стояла. пожалуй, не буду слушать новый альбом
