MASTERPLAN Re-Recording ROLAND GRAPOW-Era HELLOWEEN Songs; Release Planned For Spring 2016
The Helloween re-recordings have been on the table for quite some time, as Grapow first revealed the idea to BraveWords scribe Carl Begai back in 2013:
Grapow: “I’ve been in the business for 25 years, and I was thinking I should do something like a Best Of Roland Grapow album. I’ve asked AFM Records about that because I think I’ve written some good songs with Masterplan and Helloween, and my solo stuff. There’s enough material for a double album. AFM didn’t like the idea, and then I was thinking that maybe Masterplan could re-record some Helloween songs as a bonus CD. Songs that I wrote like ‘The Chance’, ‘Mankind’, ‘Time Of The Oath’ and ‘Still We Go’. It’s not a lot of work since it would just be covering songs. Nothing to rearrange, lyrics are done, we could probably have it done in two weeks. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea because it’s a shame that my history with Helloween has been pushed aside. They don’t play any of the songs that I wrote, which is a shame.”

After releasing five studio albums since the band debuted with their self-titled debut in early 2003, melodic metallers Masterplan are set to unleash their first ever live release on October 9th. Check out the first taste with the official live clip of “Spirit Never Die” below.
Keep Your Dream aLive will be available as DVD/CD and Bluray/CD sets, both including the entire show from Masters Of Rock festival, recordings from Wacken Open Air, footage from the band's latest Asian tour and ProgPower USA, as well as all (five) official Masterplan video clips. The Masters Of Rock show is featured on the CD.
