Progressive symphonic metal band Scardust are excited to share their new single and accompanying official video “My Haven”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
Discussing about the theme of the song, Scardust say:
“My Haven” is a tribute to the spaces we call home - perfect in all its imperfection. A safe haven can be a person, a place or a feeling and can mean different things to different people.
It could be a grandmother’s warm kitchen, your family’s faces, a lover’s safe embrace, your community and your friends. It can be your house, your workplace, or your hometown, or anywhere where you feel like you can truly be yourself and feel accepted - it can be the quiet place within yourself where no one can reach you.”
“In this video, each band member plays the entire song in a setting that represents their idea of a haven. It’s a celebration of individuality and the universal need for a safe space, no matter who we are or where we come from,” they add.
2023 was the biggest year for Scardust so far, with festivals in Germany and Belgium, the release of Game of Now, a cinematic piece that takes viewers into a futuristic, dystopian live show, and culminated with 2 weeks on tour with power metal originals Blind Guardian and signing with Frontiers Records.

Former OZZY OSBOURNE and DAVID LEE ROTH guitarist Joe Holmes has shared a new single called "Cross Eyed Stare". The track, which was made available under the Joe Holmes name, features a recording lineup that is similar to the one that tracked the debut album from Joe's FARMIKOS project, with Holmes on guitar, Robert Locke on vocals, and Holmes's former OZZY OSBOURNE bandmates, bassist Robert Trujillo (now in METALLICA) and drummer Mike Bordin (also of FAITH NO MORE) on drums. Also contributing melodies and lyrics to the song was Brent Hoffort.

FARMIKOS's self-titled debut album was released in 2015 to critical acclaim. The disc contained ten original songs written by Holmes and Locke, with writing contributions on eight songs by Hoffort. Some of "Farmikos" featured Brooks Wackerman (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, ex-BAD RELIGION) on drums.
FARMIKOS was Holmes's first venture under his own flag since first attaining local notoriety with TERRIFF, an L.A. band he formed after taking guitar lessons as a teenager from none other than original Ozzy axeman Randy Rhoads. Holmes eventually went on to replace ALS-stricken Jason Becker on the 1991 David Lee Roth "A Lil' Ain't Enough" world tour.
In 1995, Holmes was brought to the attention of Ozzy Osbourne who was looking for a new guitarist to take over Zakk Wylde's spot for the "Ozzmosis" album touring cycle. Holmes would go on to co-write three songs, "Facing Hell", "Junkie" and "That I Never Had", which appeared on Ozzy's 2001 album, "Down To Earth".
Holmes began collaborating and creating material with Hoffort and then joined forces with vocalist and Arkansas native Locke in 2011 to put together ideas for what would become FARMIKOS.
AOR/melodic rockers Streetlight unveil their new single and accompanying official video “Sleep Walk”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Streetlight is an AOR/melodic rock band from Jonkoping, Sweden. The band is staying true to the genre, delivering distinctive melodies, punchy choruses and strong hooks, all in the likeness of bands like Journey, Toto and Kansas.

"The End Will Show Us How" kicks off with the signature finger picking that has been a facet of Mark's entire career. Singing about the moment of clarity that comes from the decisions made throughout life, TREMONTI paints a reflective portrait that becomes instantly relatable to every listener. Backed by Eric Friedman (guitars),Tanner Keegan (bass) and Ryan Bennett (drums),Mark delivers another mid-tempo classic to the TREMONTI catalog.
With a musical catalog that includes 18 previously released full-length albums from his work with CREED, ALTER BRIDGE and various solo endeavors, Tremonti is back with a collection of 12 original compositions that continues his musical evolution while showcasing his ability to write memorable songs — something he has done for nearly three decades. One of thrash metal's most exciting young contenders, Hazzerd, have released a second song from the group’s third album (to be released January 17). While “Deathbringer” saw the Canadian quartet come roaring back with a heavy, intense track that never lost sight of its melody and catchiness, the oddly named follow-up – no that’s not a typo – “ThArSh TiLl DeTh” offers up another facet of the group’s repertoire.
“The newest single off our upcoming 3rd album is the quote ‘silly track’ on the record. Continuing a tradition from both our debut album, Misleading Evil and sophomore album, Delirium, by adding in a light-hearted, funny sounding track. The song is spelt all weird & unorthodox as the word ‘Tharsh’ comes from us being silly kids and calling the genre Tharsh as opposed to Thrash and the uppercase/lowercase lettering is meant to portray someone mocking the term Thrash till Death,” explains drummer/singer Dylan Westendorp.
“The lyrics really are pointed at our younger selves as we truly didn’t listen to anything other than metal music and we thought less of people who did. So basically, the track is making fun of us when we were metal elitists haha. A very fun and fast song--straight to the point. The full-length Solid Rock Revival studio album features performances and song remakes geared towards subject matter for children such as education, friendship, playing sports, etc. Artists include legendary rockers Alice Cooper, Rob Halford, Run DMC’s Daryl McDaniels and others. Proceeds from the sale of the album, as well as live concerts and special events, will benefit the Norelli Foundation as well as Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation.
The Norelli Family Foundation provides support and assistance to children and young adults in need. Since its inception in 2013, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to help improve the lives of those most in need through partnerships with St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Solid Rock Foundation, New Hope for Kids, Florida USA VB, The Colton Society, The Steve Azar St. Cecila Foundation and the Sunshine State Kids.
Executive Producer/Producer Joe Norelli teamed up with Grammy winner Ruben Salas and Producer/Artist and Studio owner, Dana Kamide to co-write, produce and record the album’s tracks. Norelli, along with the in-house production duo, oversaw the re-creation of several classic rock and 80’s remakes as well as brand new originals written by the production duo for the album.
Salas is credited with multiple Grammy wins and nominations in several different music genres including the Music for Children category. He also holds 2017 production credits with a Guiness Record for Longest Song.
In addition to being a Producer/artist and studio owner, Kamide is founder of Berliner Microphones and chief engineer of the highly acclaimed Berliner U77 Tube microphone. The U77 was hailed as one of the “Best New Microphones” and landed on the front cover of Pro Audio Review that same year. His wife, Guitarist/Violinist Gee Lo, 2NE1) Sharon Aguilar Kamide appears throughout the album on several tracks performing guitar and violin.
