German/US brutal progressive death metallers, Defeated Sanity, have recruited Josh Welshman as their new full-time vocalist. Welshman, based out of Warwick, Rhode Island, also handles vocals duties, and all instruments for one-man death metal project Autonomy.

"Some of you have already seen him on stage, as he fronted us on our last two US tours, the Obscene Extreme Festival as well as other shows in Europe and Indonesia. On these past tours he has proven himself as the perfect choice and we are really happy to welcome him as a member of Defeated Sanity.” comments bassist Jacob Schmidt.

Josh proudly contributes the following statement regarding his future contributions: "Ich bin eine Cockhammer”.

HELLYEAH video for its cover of Phil Collins's "I Don't Care Anymore" can be seen below. The clip was directed by William "Wombat Fire" Felch. The song is taken from HELLYEAH's new album, "Unden!able", which arrived on June 3.

"I Don't Care Anymore" features a guitar track from late PANTERA guitarist and HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott's brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, which Vinnie and Dimebag first recorded 14 years ago. Dimebag was shot to death in 2004 in a nightclub.

Vinnie told Rolling Stone about the song: "When Kevin [Churko, producer] got [Dimebag's original] tracks isolated, he synched them up, and when we listened them it totally gave me goosebumps.

"We've always felt like [Dimebag's] been a part of this band since day one. We felt like his energy and his spirit was always with us. And for people to be able to hear him again in 2016 puts a big smile on my face."

HELLYEAH singer Chad Gray told Killpop how the idea to redo the song came about. "It came from just… I mean, it was so weird," he said. "I was what I call 'in the oven,' which is a very small, dark room, writing lyrics, and those [other] guys [from the band] were in the live room having a blast — probably parties, probably chicks jumping out of cakes. 'Keep the singer over there writing the content that everybody's gonna tap into.' And Christian [Brady, guitar] just brought up how cool it would be to do 'I Don't Care Anymore'. And Vinnie's just, like, 'Me and my brother recorded that fourteen years ago.' And then, all of a sudden, it's this cycle that starts. Vinnie, being Vinnie, gets on the phone with Sterling [Winfield], a dear friend of ours [who's] engineered some PANTERA records, he's engineered some HELLYEAH records. He gets on the phone with him. And PANTERA probably has five warehouses full of things that shoot fire. So he's, like, 'Do you think you can locate that track?' whatever format it was. [We didn't know] how much of the track we had, 'cause we thought we might just be peppering little bits of him through it, whatever we could recover. And then it turns out we got the whole track. We got a new unit. We got it off there. Somehow they converted it into a Pro Tools file. So it's literally, start to finish, it's Dime playing guitar on it, which, that tone…. His tone was just unmistakable. And you could really feel the energy."

Gray also recalled the vocal-recording sessions for the song, which he described as very emotional. He said: "So I go in. And Kevin's [Churko, producer] got me all stoked to do this. So we go in and then we sit down. And I kind of sit up on top of this stool. I kind of sit on the back, a little perched, like a gargoyle, when I sing. And he got the mic all placed. And he's, like, 'Okay, are you ready? Are you ready to do this?' I mean, he's so stoked for it. And I was, like, 'Why is this guy so stoked for it?' And he's just, like, 'I just know you're gonna crush this.' Just the emotion of it and everything like that… So as he's walking out, he shuts the lights off in the studio, and I'm, like, looking at him: 'What's the deal?' He's, like, '[I'm] setting the mood, man. I'm setting the mood.' And I start singing the lines. And it's just… Whatever the timbre of my voice was that day, or whatever, it was just really awesome and perfect in a very non-perfect way. And he's just got his down and he's just… He just comes up and just hits the talkback and he's, like, 'Dude, you're gonna be singing this song for the rest of your life."

IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris's solo/side project BRITISH LION will headline the Planet Rockstock festival on Saturday, December 3 at Trecco Bay, South Wales.

It's the first U.K. show Harris and co. have announced since their rapturously received summer 2015 tour.

BRITISH LION's appearance at Planet Rockstock will be part of a full European tour, details of which will be announced soon.

Planet Rockstock, now in its fourth year, will take place December 1-4 at Trecco Bay in South Wales. Also appearing on the bill are THE DEAD DAISIES and BLACK STONE CHERRY, among others.

BRITISH LION's debut album sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"British Lion" was released in the U.S. on September 25, 2012 via Universal Music Enterprises (UMe). Mixed by Kevin Shirley — whose credits include IRON MAIDEN as well as Led ZEPPELIN, JOURNEY and RUSH, among many others — the CD, which features Harris alongside Taylor, guitarists Graham Leslie and David Hawkins and drummer Simon Dawson, presents a different side of the bassist's musical visions.

"British Lion" comprises ten songs that Steve and his collaborators had been working on between IRON MAIDEN tours and releases and was described by Harris as "'70s-influenced, British-sounding hard rock." "I'd say it's more mainstream rock than metal... and quite commercial… but good commercial," he said. "There's all kinds of stuff going on, with nods to THE WHO and UFO and some classic British rock bands, but it's not the progressive rock album some might be expecting."

Speaking about BRITISH LION's musical direction, vocalist Richard Taylor told Underkill TV: "It's very difficult to describe your music or whatever, but… The way I write lyrics and melodies is I love melody. And I think with Steve… Steve loves the same or whatever. I think the difference is just that, with MAIDEN, [which] is just an incredible band, and Bruce Dickinson is the most amazing singer ever, but it's a completely different style to what I do. But when Steve and I get together — Steve loves melody as well — I think it's just me that takes it in that different direction from the sound. Fundamentally, it's still rock, and if you see it live, it's really powerful live."

Asked if there are any plans for BRITISH LION to record a follow-up album to 2012's self-titled debut, Taylor said: "Yeah, I think that's the plan. I write all the time, and when I get together with Steve, we write. There's so much stuff. It's [a matter of] fitting it in — obviously, more around Steve, [since] he's a pretty busy man. But, yeah, that's the plan."

Greek/Swedish melodic death metallers NIGHTRAGE have announced the addition of Magnus Söderman on guitar and Lawrence Dinamarca on drums.

Says the band: "We are very proud to have both of these talented and dedicated musicians on board.

"The NIGHTRAGE camp is feeling extremely strong and positive and we are all looking forward to revealing some of our future plans with you in the coming months."

NIGHTRAGE's sixth studio album, "The Puritan", was released in April 2015 via Despotz Records.The CD marked vocalist Ronnie Nyman's recorded debut with NIGHTRAGE after he performed with the band on its Japanese and Russian tours.

"The Puritan" was produced by Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, DEVIN TOWNSEND, SOILWORK) and George Nerantzis at Dugout Productions in Uppsala, Sweden.

NIGHTRAGE was founded in 2000 in Greece by Marios Iliopoulos and his close friend, Gus G., who departed after the band's second album, "Descent Into Chaos". As part of the build up to the release of FAITH NO MORE's "We Care A Lot" reissue, watch new, rare footage (audio and video by Chris Husband) of FAITH NO MORE performing "The Jungle" live from 1986 at The i-Beam in San Francisco. The footage and track are included on the album reissue, and the track is also now available (as well as "We Care A Lot" and "As The Worm Turns") as instant downloads as an iTunes pre-order.

"We Care A Lot", which was initially issued in 1985 and has been out of print for 20 years, will be re-released on August 19 via Bill Gould's Koolarrow Records. "This was an album that started as a demo, before any label had any interest in us," explained FAITH NO MORE bass player Bill Gould. "There were a couple of reasons we decided to release this now: first of all, it's been 20 years since it has been commercially available. Secondly, when cleaning out my basement, I discovered the original master reels, and we all thought that resurrecting this from the original tapes would be a great way to reintroduce 'We Care A Lot' into the world. Lastly, this has been a band effort; we are releasing this in the same way as we recorded it, deciding everything amongst ourselves and getting our hands deep into the nuts and bolts… just like we used to." The original 10-song album, remastered by Maor Appelbaum via the original reels Gould alluded to, is enhanced with nine bonus tracks including demo versions (taken from the original 8-track tapes) of "Greed", "Mark Bowen", "Arabian Disco" and "Intro", live versions of "The Jungle" and "New Beginnings" and new mixes, via Matt Wallace, of "We Care A Lot", "Pills For Breakfast" and "As The Worm Turns". Liner notes from keyboard player Roddy Bottum and behind-the-scenes photos will be included with the physical release.

"We Care A Lot" arrived in November 1985 via Maximum RocknRoll editor Ruth Schwartz's Mordam Records. The seminal album, boasting the timeless title track, which can still be heard daily on radio stations worldwide, confounded music fans and critics alike. As Pitchfork said in a 2015 article dubbed "The Misunderstanding of Faith No More," the unpredictable and hard-to-define band "had radically altered the parameters of popular music years before the fabled alternative revolution." Rolling Stone called it a "raw punk album" while Select magazine dubbed it "a lustful marriage of mutoid metal and dance floor verve." "When strangers ask what FAITH NO MORE is, I've always said, 'well, it's kind of an art band…' I say that mostly to distance us from the hard rock world that we're often times lumped into. I mean, hard rock, sure, that was part of it, but our roots most definitely and pointedly stem from a specific freakout art time and place in San Francisco, a time that no longer exists. In 1982, the hippies mingled with the punks, the artists hung out with the musicians, the dance people and the punks were one and the Satanists and the sexual pioneers… all part of the same scene," Bottum explains, colorfully setting the scene for the original inspiration for the band and "We Care A Lot". "That weird SF window provided a platform from which we were free to express and cultivate a really uniquely odd sound experience. In Los Angeles, no one really cared much, but SF was always super supportive, encouraging us, directly and not, to get our collective freak on." "We felt like it was time to take the next step," adds drummer Mike Bordin. "We raised as much money as we were able and booked time at Prairie Sun Studios just north of San Francisco. I can't remember how long it took us to record the album, but not a lot, maybe a few days. The songs were sharp from having played most of them at various shows. Very stripped down, basic as could be. The place was on a farm in chicken country (Petaluma). Hard work, but a ton of fun too."

Said Chuck Mosley: "With 'We Care A Lot', I always felt like I was part of something new and different than anything else out there at the time. It made me feel privileged to be a part of it. The other guys were so cool, and there was so much camaraderie. And that came across in the music; Bordin's drums battling it out with Billy's bass in antagonistic harmony, Roddy's melodic atmosphere, swallowed up by Jim's crunchy metal riffs. The End Records has announced the signing of legendary grindcore and death metal act TERRORIZER.

Fresh off a string of international tour runs, TERRORIZER is back in the studio recording its fourth studio album — their first release since 2012's "Hordes Of Zombies".

Formed in 1986 in Los Angeles, California, TERRORIZER released its 1989 debut album, "World Downfall", to critical acclaim, quickly earning the status of a classic early grindcore band. Pete Sandoval's ground-breaking drumming techniques make "World Downfall" a landmark record for speed drumming and a pivotal influence on metal worldwide.

With the recognition of their first release, TERRORIZER caught the attention of influential extreme metal bands, and Sandoval joined the band MORBID ANGEL, while guitarist Jesse Pintado joined NAPALM DEATH. TERRORIZER was on a short hiatus, even though both members continued to perform songs from the album during some of their shows.

Fans remained hopeful for the band to create new music and return. Then in 2005, Sandoval and Pintado reformed TERRORIZER with a new lineup to release their second studio album, "Darker Days Ahead" (2006). With Anthony Rezhawk on vocals and MORBID ANGEL's Tony Norman on second guitar and bass, TERRORIZER was back again with new music. But in August 2006, during the week of the album's release, Pintado died suddenly from complications arising from liver failure.

In 2012, Sandoval returned to TERRORIZER with Rezhawk, David Vincent on bass and Katrina Culture on guitar to release the solid yet steadfast "Hordes Of Zombies". Eventually, MONSTROSITY's founder Lee Harrison replaced Culture on guitar and MONSTROSITY/INFERNEAON guitarist Sam Molina joined the band on bass and vocals. Now, under this current lineup of Sandoval (drums), Harrison (guitar), and Molina (vocals, bass), the stage has been set for TERRORIZER to deliver another grindcore classic.

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor has told Billboard.com that the band has written and demoed 18 songs for its sixth studio album, with plans to hit the studio in January for a likely mid-2017 release.

"It's some of the best shit we've ever written," Taylor, who is also the vocalist in SLIPKNOT, said. "I'm champing at the bit to record it and get it ready to go. The cool thing is that it's got a lot of different directions, but at it's core it's very hard rock, and I mean that in an almost sort of modern/classic sense. There are some hints of punk in there. There's some cool hard rock/heavy metal. There's just all these really cool elements that we've never really allowed ourselves to go into. We're really to kind of push even further with this. It'll feel like it's all over the map, but it will be very unifying when everyone hears it. It's exciting, man."

STONE SOUR, has released two EPs of cover songs — "Meanwhile In Burbank…" and "Straight Out Of Burbank" — and was slated to issue a third, titled "No Sleep 'Till Burbank", but those plans now appear to have been scrapped.

STONE SOUR last year named Christian Martucci as the permanent replacement for Jim Root, who was dismissed from the band in late 2013 after he decided to sit out the group's last tour in order to begin working on the new SLIPKNOT album. Martucci was recruited to play on that tour and was confirmed as a permanent member in March 2015 in a Facebook post.

Root did not speak kindly of STONE SOUR in interviews after he was fired, saying, "Some of the guys in STONE SOUR, I think they just want to be a radio band and write strictly for radio and try to be more of a poppy rock band. And that's not really what I'm into. There's at least one guy in the band that's only concerned about money. I really have no desire to associate with people like that anymore."

Root played on all five STONE SOUR studio records to date, including 2010's "Audio Secrecy" and the band's last collection of original music, "House Of Gold And Bones", a double concept album which was released in two parts in 2012 and 2013.

Psychedelic, classically-infused doom metal act, Spirit Adrift, will continue to unveil new material with their debut full-length album, Chained To Oblivion, out on August 12th via Prosthetic Records. The single "Psychic Tide" is streaming below.

Produced again by Bob Hoag at Arizona's Flying Blanket Studios, Chained To Oblivion show the continuing evolution and growth of the band's creator, Nate Garrett, both as a songwriter and a person.

"The songs on Chained To Oblivion deal with struggle, adversity, suffering, helplessness, hopelessness, but ultimately triumph", commented Garrett, "I believe that the life experiences which fueled these songs, plus the amount of emotion and energy attached to the recording session itself... all that will touch listeners who are open to it. Sonically speaking, expect more vocal harmonies, trippier lyrics, more guitar harmonies, groovier bass, and drumming that's way more solid. Nate Burns and I talked about my ongoing obsession with outer space, old X-Men comics (particularly some of the Phoenix story arcs), and subliminal stimuli within art. This artwork goes hand in hand with the listening experience, so we've made sure the physical versions of the album are well worth the fans' hard-earned money. I can't wait for the world to hear this album"

The history of UK heavy metal is a long and rich one, producing some of the world's greatest bands. With Beyond The Veil, Dark Forest carries on a proud tradition with an album of fiery metal and unforgettable songwriting, laced with medieval and folk elements.

Beyond The Veil features original artwork by Duncan Storr, the English artist known for providing amazing paintings for Skyclad and Rage. HellFire Studio mastermind Ajeet Gill is currently mixed and mastered the record. The album is almost 70 minutes long and features 12 tracks of astonishing heavy metal.

Beyond The Veil represents Dark Forest's peak of creativity, the zenith of a process begun in 2009 with the release of their self-titled debut album. If their last album The Awakening was a sort of "rite of passage", then Beyond The Veil is the full realization of potential. The tie between Dark Forest and the lore of their land is authentic and is expressed with mature and poetic lyrical content. A big credit in this process must be given to vocalist Josh Winard (ex-Wytch Hazel) whose performance is dramatic and powerful.

The Beyond The Veil compact disc edition comes with 16-page booklet, including more original artwork from Duncan Storr. The vinyl LP version will be released in a luxurious gatefold edition and comes with an A2 poster.

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine says that he has no intention of voting for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Asked by a fan on Periscope if he is a fan of controversial Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Mustaine replied: "Am I a Donald Trump fan? Well, he's a very successful businessman. Am I gonna vote for him? That's none of your business. And if I did, I wouldn't tell you. If I didn't, I wouldn't tell you. I can tell you one thing: I am not voting for [presumptive Democratic presidential nominee] Hillary [Clinton]. I am voting for [MEGADETH mascot] Vic Rattlehead."

Mustaine also commented on the recent surge in high-profile violence around the world and the fact that we are regularly waking to the news that somewhere in the world, and sometimes close to home, someone has been slaughtered in what looks like an epidemic of terror.

"I just saw my buddy Vernon Reid from LIVING COLOUR posted something about a knife attack in Japan. Nineteen people dead," Mustaine said. "And, of course, some asshole had to say something about guns right away.

"People are gonna kill people. If they wanna kill 'em, they're gonna kill 'em. It doesn't matter if it's a gun, if it's a knife, or if it's incredibly bad music you have to listen to death.

"The world is so full of hate right now. There's a lot of love. I mean, I have love in my heart for you guys, even when you pick on the band and me. I can take it. It's kind of sad when you do it to people like [Dave's MEGADETH bandmates] Kiko [Loureiro] or Dirk [Verbeuren] or David [Ellefson], 'cause they don't deserve any of that shit."

Mustaine appeared willing to accept some of the responsibility for the negativity that has occasionally surrounded MEGADETH over the years, explaining: "I know that my mouth sometimes gets me in trouble. I'm trying to really get a grip on that. I look at people like [late boxing legend] Muhammad Ali, who was really controversial in his early life and he turned around to such an amazing, amazing ambassador for professional sports. And also, he was a very, very loving Muslim person. In the beginning of his career, a lot of people were mad about that and the way he conducted himself. People accepted it and pretty soon it was not the way he was defined; he was defined by his actions, not by any label of faith or race or gender or sexual orientation.

"I truly wish that… I hope that that's how I'll be remembered — as somebody who may have had a bad start, but finished really well."

He then thanked his fans directly, saying: "I've gotta tell you, I'm so grateful for you guys giving me so many chances when most people that do the stuff that I've done in the past, they don't always get another chance."

Mustaine made headlines in early 2012 when he voiced his support for ultraconservative Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum. He explained at the time that the Pennsylvania politician looked "like he could be a really cool president… kind of like a JFK kind of guy." That same year, he drew ire on social media when he suggested onstage at a concert in Singapore that President Obama was behind the mass shootings in Aurora and at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

Mustaine later blamed media outlets for taking his statements out of context, explaining that never said he officially "endorsed" Santorum. As for the Singapore concert, he claimed to have been repeating the theories of Larry Pratt, a pro-gun activist who runs the organization Gun Owners Of America.

Also in 2012, Mustaine revealed his "birther" opinions on a talk show, saying he doubted President Obama was born in the United States. He told radio host Alex Jones: "With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake… And you see the signs in Kenya that say 'the birthplace of Barack Obama.' Hello?! C'mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?"

Mustaine has consistently denied that he is a Republican, telling Artisan News in a 2012 interview: "I'm an independent, not a Republican — I've never been a Republican. I've always said that. I don't belong to any party — I'm non-partisan. And for me, the sad thing is, instead of voting for the best man, I have to vote for the lesser of two evils."

PROPHETS OF RAGE, the supergroup featuring members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, PUBLIC ENEMY's Chuck D and CYPRESS HILL's B-Real, was the musical guest on last night's (Monday, July 25) episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" The band played several songs on the show's outdoor stage in front of a standing-room-only crowd. Video footage of the reimagined PUBLIC ENEMY track "Prophets Of Rage" and a version of the RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE classic "Killing In The Name" can be seen below.

Even though PROPHETS OF RAGE does not feature RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE frontman Zack de la Rocha, the group plays classics like "Bulls On Parade" along with tunes by PUBLIC ENEMY and CYPRESS HILL.

"I think the music of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE is more relevant today than it was when it was written," Morello told Cleveland.com. "And we give a lot of credit and honor to Zack at every show because his lyrics are brilliant."

Earlier in the month, PROPHETS OF RAGE released the "Prophets Of Rage" single through digital download and streaming services. A re-imagination of the PUBLIC ENEMY song of the same name, with new music and a new original verse from B-Real, the song gave life to the band's name. The single was recorded with legendary producer Brendan O'Brien who has done notable work with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and AUDIOSLAVE.

PROPHETS OF RAGE made their live debut in May in Los Angeles, playing numbers from all three acts.

The band will embark on a North American tour in August.

Former GUNS N' ROSES bassist Tommy Stinson has spoken out about the partial reunion of the band's classic lineup, saying that "people should love" the fact that most of the group is back together.

Stinson, who was in GUNS N' ROSES from 1998 until 2014, discussed the band's "Not In This Lifetime" tour in a recent interview with Salon. He said: "I'm actually going to see them again tomorrow! I just went and saw them with a buddy of mine. I think, for all practical purposes, he wanted to go and wanted a comrade to go with. And I told him, 'You know what? Let's go.' He got me a ticket and we had a fantastic time."

Tommy continued: "All of those people are my friends — the band guys, the crew guys. The only one I don't know is Slash [guitar]. I don't think I've ever really met him. But I'm friends with all of them — Axl [Rose, vocals] included. Even Izzy [Stradlin, guitar]!

"So, I'm going to see them in Philadelphia with some friends because I had such a good time. It was fantastic. It was great to see it on the other side and not having to be in it. And I mean that as no disrespect. But, when you're in it — when you're in the cacophony with the ear monitors — you can't really appreciate what the fans see on the other side.

"I want to watch it as a show and hang out with the people and go, 'Fuck! This is goddamn fun.'

"It's been fun for me. I'm not an ambassador of goodwill because I need to be. They're my friends and I'm glad for them. They're having fun, so I'm going to go see them and say 'Hi' to my buddies."

Stinson, a founding member of the seminal Minneapolis-based rock band THE REPLACEMENTS, last played with GUNS N' ROSES at a 2014 show in Las Vegas. But he looks back on time with GN'R fondly. "It was a great gig for me," he said. "I was in that band almost seventeen years. It was fun for me. It was good for me. I'm just happy they're all out there. They had the same stigma that THE REPLACEMENTS went through, but they're doing great. It's not all the band members, but people should love it. If you're a fan, you're going to love it."

GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" stadium tour features classic lineup members Slash, Duff McKagan (bass) and Axl Rose backed by drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and new second keyboardist Melissa Reese.

Former NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon just recorded her vocal parts for a new version of SECRET SPHERE's "Lie To Me".

Originally included on the SECRET SPHERE album "Portrait Of A Dying Heart", the video for this song has over 800,000 views on YouTube. The new version, featuring a duet between Anette and singer Michele Luppi (who is also the keyboard player with WHITESNAKE), will be released as a special bonus studio track on the Italian symphonic power metallers' forthcoming live album, due this fall.

The Grammy Foundation and Grammy Museum are partnering on September 1 to celebrate the life and legacy of B.B. King, 15-time Grammy-winning rhythm and blues singer. Titled "Icon: The Life And Legacy Of B.B. King", the live tribute, sponsored in part by Gibson USA, will include performances by multi-Grammy winners Keb' Mo', Derek Trucks and Jimmie Vaughan; Grammy winners Slash and Susan Tedeschi; Grammy nominees Joe Bonamassa and Kenny Wayne Shepherd; and blues guitarist Joe Louis Walker. The show's music director will be Jimmy Vivino of the "Conan" show. He will be joined by the BASIC CABLE BAND, who will serve as the house band for the evening. Scott Goldman, vice president of the Grammy Foundation, will be the evening's host. In addition to live tribute performances and storytelling by artists influenced by King's music, a pre-event VIP reception will be held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.

"This evening marks a unique collaboration between the Grammy Foundation and Grammy Museum, and it serves to showcase these charities founded by The Recording Academy that share a mission of preserving music's legacy and presenting it to a wide range of audiences," said Neil Portnow, president/CEO of The Recording Academy and the Grammy Foundation, and board chair of the Grammy Museum. "This event is designed to be an annual fundraiser in honor of a music icon that will invite the public to enjoy tribute performances by an array of talented artists that engage, entertain, and enlighten."

"Exploring the enduring legacies of all forms of music, and the artists who created them, is a large part of our mission, and we couldn't be more thrilled to partner with the Grammy Foundation on a spectacular evening that will demonstrate our shared commitment to preserving the legacy of B.B. "We're looking forward to having this amazing lineup of artists join us for a night that will introduce, or reintroduce, hundreds of music fans to the legacy of the King Of The Blues." Proceeds raised from "Icon: The Life And Legacy Of B.B. King" will support the initiatives of the Grammy Foundation and Grammy Museum, two charitable organizations of The Recording Academy.

Referred to as the King Of The Blues, King released more than 50 albums since he began recording in the 1940s, creating classics such as "3 O'Clock Blues", "You Don't Know Me" and "The Thrill Is Gone", among many others. King was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall Of Fame in 1980 and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame In 1987. He received The Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987, has had four recordings inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame, and he received honorary doctorates from several universities and music colleges. King has inspired a variety of artists through the years, including Bonamassa, Elvis Costello, Robert Cray, J.J. Cale, John Mayer, Delbert McClinton, Jimmy Page, Diane Schuur, Slash, Tedeschi and Vaughan, several of whom will perform at the concert. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is located at 9390 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, California, 90210. The red-carpet portion of the evening will take place from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., the reception from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. The attire is business casual, and ticket prices are $250 for admission to the reception and show, $100 for the show only, and $50 for mezzanine seating. Swedish metallers IN FLAMES have released a video trailer for their forthcoming U.K. arena tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD and DISTURBED. The one-minute clip, which can be seen below, includes a preview of the music from IN FLAMES' forthcoming album, due later in the year via Nuclear Blast in all territories excluding North America and Scandinavia.

IN FLAMES will release its new concert DVD, "Sounds From The Heart Of Gothenburg", on September 23 via Nuclear Blast. The set was recorded on November 7, 2014 at Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden. IN FLAMES last year inked a new management deal with Tenth Street Entertainment, which also looks after MÖTLEY CRÜE and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, among others.

The band's last disc, "Siren Charms", sold around 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 26 on The Billboard 200 chart.

IN FLAMES drummer Daniel Svensson announced last fall that he was leaving the band to focus on his family life. He said in a statement: "It's hard to leave what have become my second family, but now it's time for me to take care and spend more time with the most important people in my life — my wife and my three daughters."

IN FLAMES has not yet named a replacement for Svensson.

According to Billboard.com, AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler's debut solo album, "We're All Somebody From Somewhere", has entered Billboard's Top Country Albums chart at No. 1 with first-week sales of 17,000 copies, according to Nielsen Music. On the all-genre, consumption-based Billboard 200, it starts at No. 19, with 18,000 equivalent album units.

"We're All Somebody From Somewhere" arived on July 15 via Big Machine Label Group's Dot Records.

The AEROSMITH frontman appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and spoke about the album, explaining: "I headed down to Nashville last spring to start working on this project, wrote some kick-ass songs with some of Music City's finest songwriters."

He added: "Country music is the new rock 'n' roll. It's not just about porches, dogs and kicking your boots up. It's a whole lot more. It's about being real."

Tyler co-produced "We're All Somebody From Somewhere" with such heavyweights as T Bone Burnett, Dan Huff, Marti Fredriksen and Jaren Johnston.

Tyler spoke about the strength of the new material, telling Rolling Stone: "I believe y'all are gonna listen to this stuff and you're gonna agree with me that it fell from a star. I had nothing to do with this shit, it's just Nashville. There's something so magical about this town and me writing with all these people."

Swiss metal pioneers CORONER have entered the studio to begin recording their long-awaited seventh album, to be released in 2017.

The band has signed a worldwide record deal with Sony Music Switzerland, which has enlisted the help of Century Media Records, a strong partner that will release CORONER records internationally. But for those fans who just can't wait for the new album, CORONER has a special treat in store: "Autopsy", a 3 x Blu-ray + LP or a 3 x DVD + CD set that is jam packed with a documentary movie of the band's history, live recordings, previously unseen interviews and a best-of compilation. The vinyl + Blu-ray box, which is limited to 3,000 copies, is a real collector's item and every copy of the box is signed by the band members themselves.

"Autopsy" will be released on September 23.

In the 1990s, CORONER caused a stir in the music industry with its progressive and technically sophisticated music style. All over the world, CORONER was considered one of the most unconventional avant-garde metal bands. Today, CORONER is a cult band and is highly respected not only by musicians such as Max Cavalera (SEPULTURA), Franz Treichler (THE YOUNG GODS) and Mille Petrozza (KREATOR), but also by metal fans all over the world.

After the release of CORONER's last studio album, "Grin", in 1993, the band split up. Two years later, their best-of album, "Coroner", was released. Sixteen years passed. Then, in 2011, Tommy Vetterli, Ron Broder, and the then-drummer and founding member Marky Edelmann returned to the stage, playing a potpourri of numbers from their albums at concerts. Back then, the three musicians were almost certain that they would not be able to find the time for a new studio album. "Almost" being the key word here. CORONER in 2014 announced the addition of drummer Diego Rapacchietti to the group's ranks. He made his live debut with CORONER on May 29, 2014 at Salzhaus in Winterthur, Switzerland.

Edelmann (a.k.a. Marquis Marky) left CORONER in February 2014, explaining in a statement that "it was clear from the start that I didn't want to record another album. I love the sound of CORONER, but for me, it's the moment to explore new sounds without the weight of the past on my shoulders."

Sandy Pearlman, one of the most important figures in rock history who worked as a full-time artist manager, managing the careers of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT and BLACK SABBATH (1979–1983), has passed away at the age of 72. He reportedly died early Tuesday morning (July 26) in Marin County, California. A cause of death was not specified.

Pearlman suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in December that left him "unable to walk, talk or fully comprehend his circumstances," according to a GoFundMe page set up by his friend to help pay medical expenses. Pearlman's condition reportedly took a turn for the worse last week and he had been hospitalized with multiple infections at the time of his passing.

Pearlman produced most of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's albums from the band's self-titled debut in 1972 up until 1988's "Imaginos". Among them was "Agents Of Fortune", which included BÖC's highest-charting and best-known single "Don't Fear the Reaper", a No. 12 hit in 1976 and the song most identified with the band. Pearlman also contributed songwriting to BLUE ÖYSTER CULT.

Pearlman was the recipient of 17 gold and platinum records.

During a recent interview with Aggressive Tendencies, SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor was asked for his opinion of the hugely popular augmented reality mobile game Pokémon Go, which has reportedly been downloaded more than 75 million times since its early July launch. He said: "This Pokémon Go thing… You have to understand, I'm a father, so I've got… my kids are up my ass about it. And my son's out with his cousins right now huntin' them down."

He continued: "I think that, just like everything else we've ever had as far as like a cyber trend, it will peak in about a month and then it'll go away. It's a genius concept, but just like Words With Friends, just like your Candy Crushes and all that crap, what goes up must come down. So we'll just see how long it stays in the zeitgeist right now."

Pokémon Go was developed and distributed by Niantic in which Nintendo owns a 32 percent stake, CNNMoney reported.

According to Survey Monkey, Pokémon Go had 25 million daily active users on July 14, but by July 20, that number had declined to about 22 million. This data suggests that the game may have hit a peak in popularity.

Pokémon Go uses a phone's GPS to determine where in the real world to spawn virtual characters, and then uses the phone's camera and augmented reality to make those characters appear on the screen. As you move around, different and more types of Pokémon will appear, depending on where you are and what time it is. The idea is to encourage you to travel around the real world to catch Pokémon in the game.

Players are rewarded for catching Pokémon characters out in their neighborhoods, at park benches, street corners and local attractions.

FAITH NO MORE will release deluxe editions of "King For A Day" and "Album Of The Year" on September 9. These include new remasters of the original album, plus a bonus disc of rarities and B-sides. The reissues will be made available on 2-CD, double 180-gram heavyweight LP and digital plus streaming services.

Following the Grammy-nominated album "Angel Dust", FAITH NO MORE returned in 1995 with "King For A Day... Fool For A Lifetime". Recorded at Bearsville Studios near Woodstock, New York, it was the first without longtime guitarist Jim Martin, whose departure had an influence on the direction of the album. In the new liner notes, keyboardist Roddy Bottum writes: "As a result, we wrote and recorded some of our most radical, out-there songs, like 'Cuckoo For Caca' and 'Ugly In The Morning', some of our mellowest like 'Take This Bottle', 'Caralho Voador' and then some of our most high-drama, like 'Just A Man'."

Among the eight bonus tracks are the B-sides "Spanish Eyes" and "Absolute Zero", as well as the band's cover of the BEE GEES' "I Started A Joke", which was originally released as a b-side in 1995, and then as a single in 1998.

"Album Of The Year" became the first FAITH NO MORE release to feature members of the current lineup: Mike Bordin (drums), Roddy Bottum (keyboards), Billy Gould (bass), Jon Hudson (guitar), and Mike Patton (vocals). Recorded mostly in Gould's home studio, the album produced three singles: "Ashes To Ashes", "Last Cup Of Sorrow" and "Stripsearch". In the liner notes, Bottum writes: "We were definitely referencing our musical roots as well, going back to darker tones visited in 'Angel Dust'... in retrospect it feels really strong and an undeniably prolific chapter in what we ultimately set out to do."

"Album Of The Year"'s eight bonus tracks also include live versions of the album track "Collision" and the Burt Bacharach and Hal David classic "This Guy's In Love With You", plus rare mixes of "Last Cup Of Sorrow", "Pristina" and more.

He continued: "We [had] just finished 42 cities and played for 600,000 people, but that meant that every night the show got disassembled and moved. There's something appealing and challenging about building a set that doesn't have to be moved. You don't have to take into account the practicality of it, being able to be broken down constantly and reassembled. So this was something that we had wanted to do for quite a while; it was just a matter of making sure we found people who were in agreement on how to do it. The Joint was the natural place to do it."
