SKINDRED, Ex-EVILE Members Join Forces In REABO

REABO is a "supergroup" of well known names from the colliding worlds of rock, dubstep, metal and grime who have combined to produce a single which will quite simply blow your head off.

REABO consist of Ol Drake, former guitarist in EVILE; XFM presenter and bassist of indie rock band LOSERS, Eddy Temple-Morris; notorious bass music artist Rednek; SKINDRED drummer Arya; and grime artist Beaupierre.

It's certainly no ordinary supergroup or back story. With the help of Jägermeister and their "It Runs Deep" campaign which celebrates friendships which are deep and meaningful, the collective of musical friends were booked into a recording studio and left to their own devises for 12 hours to see quite simply what would happen. The result is "Whatever May Come", which tears up the rule book and spits it back out with such ferocity and explosive energy that even the most hardened mosher and shape thrower will unite on the dancefloor.

This lethal concoction of talents and personalities are so happy with track, they have decided to officially release "Whatever May Come" through Bad Boy Records on April 27, backed with Stenchman and 245 remixes and a music video directed by Stuart Birchall and producer by Matt Jarman (You Know Ltd.).

DE LA TIERRA Featuring SEPULTURA's ANDREAS KISSER: Performance Footage From METALLICA Mini-Tour

Latin metal group DE LA TIERRA, consisting of Andreas Kisser, guitarist of SEPULTURA, Andrés Giménez, former leader of A.N.I.M.A.L., Sr. Flavio, bassist of LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS, and Alex González, drummer of MANÁ, played the first four shows of its international tour as METALLICA's guest band. The concerts took place in Colombia (March 16), Ecuador (March 18), Peru (March 20) and Paraguay (March 24). DE LA TIERRA's tour will continue in Mexico at the Vive Latino (March 29), the biggest Latin rock festival that has been held in Mexico City for the last 15 years.

Video footage of DE LA TIERRA's pre-tour rehearsal, as well as the concerts in Ecuador and Peru, can be seen below.

Roadrunner Records and Warner Music Latina released the self-titled debut album from DE LA TIERRA, on January 14.

"De La Tierra", the band's crushing 11-song debut was recorded and mixed by Stanley Soares (MOTÖRHEAD, SEPULTURA) in Sao Paulo, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles and produced by the band themselves. The album, which marks an electrifying new chapter for the always daring members of DE LA TIERRA, features lyrics sung entirely in both Spanish and Portuguese, elevating the group's Latin roots.

"On 'De La Tierra', there are some moments when you feel the world is coming to an end and others when the sky seems to open up, letting the light shine," says Gonzalez. "It is metal that is fast, powerful, explosive, with lots of adrenaline. You have darkness and light. There is melody and also a lot of punch."

DE LA TIERRA's history can be traced back eight years to backstage conversations between Giménez and González, discussing their passion for heavy music. A tour with MANÁ brought González to Argentina in 2011, which rekindled discussions of starting a group with Gimenez. The following evening the two had dinner with Flavio, a friend of Giménez's who both revered, as the three flirted with the idea of forming a power trio. Giménez however wanted more firepower and suggested Kisser as a possible second guitarist. González reached out to Kisser via email telling him about the project which was conceived as a gathering of like minds to create metal music which they all enjoyed and appreciated. Kisser responded immediately: "I am the band's guitar player!"

It is more heavy metal songs that are hooky and great and fun and make you want to rock and make you want to have a good time and party. Also, there is a lot of riffage on this album that I think anybody who has ever questioned this band — 'Oh, those guys wear spandex and it is 2000-whatever' — these songs are going to put all of that to rest."

"Balls Out" sold nearly 12,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 40 on The Billboard 200 chart.

METALLICA: Official Footage Of Lima Concert

METALLICA's official YouTube channel MetallicaTV has uploaded "fly-on-the-wall" footage shot by the MetOnTour reporter on March 20 in Lima, Peru. The clip, which can be seen below, includes the band warming up in the "tuning room" as well as "The Four Hosemen" and "Whiplash" from the show.

As promised, the band played a nearly all-request set in Quito, with 17 songs chosen online by fans prior to the gig and the last slot filled by the new track "The Lords Of Summer".

Drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone that "The Lords Of Summer" "is fairly representative of where our creative headspace is at right now. It's one of those things that's like, 'Here, we're writing and we're creating.'"

Guitarist Kirk Hammett told The Pulse Of Radio that coming up with music is not a problem for the band. "We're a band that never has a shortage of ideas," he said. "You know, you hear about these bands that are like, oh, they're sitting in the studio and they don't have any songs, what are they gonna do? That's not METALLICA. METALLICA's problem is the total opposite: we have too many ideas, which ones are we gonna use. And so that's pretty much how it stands with us."

Ulrich cautioned, however, that "The Lords Of Summer" may not even end up on METALLICA's next album at all, or at least not in its current form. He explained, "We did the same thing when we went out and played a bunch of dates in 2006. We were writing and played two different new songs over the course of that summer, and none of them made the record (2008's 'Death Magnetic')."

The Metallica By Request tour will hit Europe this summer, with a single North American date confirmed in Montreal, as the band continues working on its 10th studio album. The rest of METALLICA's "by request" show in Lima featured such "rarities" as "Master Of Puppets", "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", "Battery", "Fade To Black", "One" and "Enter Sandman".

A BREACH OF SILENCE: 'Night Rider' Video Released

"Night Rider", the new video from Brisbane, Australia's powercore band A BREACH OF SILENCE, can be seen below. The ambitious clip puts the viewer "in the boots" of the green-faced undead lead character, and into the action of Western-style shootouts, fist fights, and a dramatic showdown. Join our heroic vigilante, Night Rider, as he shows a group of outlaws terrorizing a peaceful town who's boss.

"Night Rider" pays homage to two of the band's favorite pastimes — 1960s classic Westerns and first-person shooter videogames. It was directed by Steven Caldwell of Caldwell Entertainment, features gun slinging bandits, a cast of more than sixty actors, and an undead heroic vigilante known as "Night Rider".

"For the 'Night Rider' video, we wanted to do a really cool story line about a character we created called Night Rider," states guitarist Mat Cosgrove. "He's an undead cowboy whose mission is to take anyone bad or evil back to the deep dark fiery pit where he came from. We as a band use this character as a medium to tell our stories, experiences, and learning's of life. The true meaning of the song is that, you can make mistakes, and fail at things, but it's the mistakes and failings that make you who you are. The Night Rider is a vigilante of sorts, he is initially arrested by the law, but when some local bad guys shoot up the town and gun down the sheriff and his deputies, he's released from prison to carry out justice and uphold the law."

A BREACH OF SILENCE released its debut full-length album, "Dead Or Alive", on October 1, 2013 through Eclipse Records. The effort was produced by Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd (BRING ME THE HORIZON, OPETH, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY) and recorded at HK Studios in Brisbane, Australia.

A BREACH OF SILENCE is:

Mat Cosgrove (guitar)Blair Layt (bass/vocals)Andrew Cotterell (drums)Rhys Flannery (vocals)Kerrod Dablestein (guitar)

HELLYEAH: Two New Songs, 'Sangre Por Sangre' And 'Cross To Bier', Available For Streaming

"Cross To Bier (Cradle Of Bones)" and "Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)", two new songs from HELLYEAH, can be streamed below. The tracks are taken from the band's fourth album, "Blood For Blood", which will be released on June 10 via Eleven Seven Music. The CD was helmed by producer Kevin Churko at his The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Churko is the Canadian musician, sound engineer, songwriter and record producer who has previously worked with OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and IN THIS MOMENT, among other acts.

A press release describes "Blood For Blood" as a "welcome return to form" for the band, adding that it "sounds like a recharged HELLYEAH, taken up many notches."

"Blood For Blood" track listing:

01. Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)02. Demons In The Dirt03. Soul Killer04. Moth05. Cross To Bier (Cradle Of Bones)06. DMF07. Gift08. Hush09. Say When10. Black December HELLYEAH recently filmed a video for the song "Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)" with director Robert Sexton (SOULFLY, DEATH ANGEL, THE DWARVES, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, AMEN, MONDO GENERATOR, GENÖCIDE) in Hollywood, California.

HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott spoke with RockNLive.org about the band's recent dismissal of bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha and guitarist Greg Tribbett, the recruitment of bassist Kyle Sanders (former member of BLOODSIMPLE and the brother of MASTODON's Troy Sanders) and the recording of "Blood For Blood". On the lineup change, Abbott said, "We wanted to make sure that we brought somebody in that was a 'bro,' somebody that we felt comfortable with. We didn't wanna go through an audition process and bring a whole bunch of different people in that we had no idea, anything about their character or dynamic or what they were all about. And Kyle… was the first guy that came to our mind." Abbott also revealed that the band will bring in a touring guitarist, hinting, "We haven't announced who that is yet, but I can tell you he's a hell of a guitar player."

Abbott said that HELLYEAH is "gonna be stronger than ever" as a result of the changes, adding, "There's nothing like having some fresh blood out on the road with you."

HELLYEAH will hit the road this spring, starting with several festival slots in April and May.

HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by NOTHINGFACE guitarist Tom Maxwell and bassist Jerry Montano, MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, and former PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.

Montano left a week after the release of the band's self-titled debut album in 2007 and was replaced by Bob "Zilla" Kakaha, who had played with Abbott in DAMAGEPLAN.

HELLYEAH's other albums include 2009's "Stampede" and 2011's "Band Of Brothers".

MUDVAYNE has not released an album since 2009 while Gray and Tribbett have been working with HELLYEAH.

DAVE MUSTAINE: 'It's Hard Being An Anarchist When You Have A Mercedes-Benz In Your Driveway'

Earlier today (Wednesday, March 12), MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine reflected on his career, musical influences and how the band got started with Pimm Fox on Bloomberg Television's "Taking Stock". You can now watch the segment below. A couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On his upcoming performance with the San Diego Symphony:

Mustaine: "Well, the symphony music, with classical music, I believe, shows up a lot in heavy metal music. A lot of the medieval-type music that I was brought up with, and the British Invasion… LED ZEPPELIN, for example, has a lot of the story telling and the classical arrangements do tell a lot of stories. And I also was weaned on THE BEATLES, so a lot of Sir George Martin's arrangements with the strings and stuff really fascinated me. So I've always been a fan of classical music. But the classical industry is dying. There's a generation of people that don't really know about it. I thought it would be really cool to take my guitar in there and play the lead-violin part with a little bit of some snarl, a little bit of some distortion. And, you know, watching all the Disney movies when I was a kid, I liked the songs right before the poison apple gets bit, or the wolf is about to attack or something, where the music gets kind of scary. So we picked some songs that we thought were really emotional, colorful songs — some Vivaldi, some Bach."

On whether he has become less intimidating in terms of his music as he's developed:

Mustaine: "I think as you grow up, things kind of change. It's kind of hard being an anarchist when you have a Mercedes-Benz in your driveway. This morning, I was thinking about growing up, how I was homeless when I started my career. I was a product of a broken family and was, basically, watched during the day by the Boys Club Of America. And, you know, it's one of those things where you go from being a poor kid, having lunch tickets and food stamps, to being a millionaire. It's an American success story."

On some of the biggest challenges that new bands face in today's music world:

Mustaine: "The revenue streams have dried up. The money that you would generate from record sales has all but vanished. So in order to be successful and to keep yourself in business, you have to find other ways to pay your bills, which predominantly are touring and merchandise. A lot of people have endorsements and sponsorship deals and stuff like that too, but because of peer-to-peer file transferring and stuff like that — it's old news now — it's really changed the music industry."

GEOFF TATE Hopes To One Day Have A Good Relationship With His Former Bandmates

Whitney Ullman of NJ.com recently conducted an interview with singer Geoff Tate of QUEENSRŸCHE. An excerpt from the chat follows below.

NJ.com: There is a lot going on right now with the QUEENSRŸCHE name between the old band and the new band. Is there anything you want to tell fans about the current situation?

Tate: Umm, let's see. What can I say legally without getting in trouble? I can't really talk about it too much actually. I can say that we are very close to being in a settlement over the whole debacle, and shortly moving on to brighter days and greener pastures, so they say.

NJ.com: Is there a big difference working with the new group?

Tate: Yes, completely different. Well, this group of people are kind of a mixture of, how can I put it, it's all guys that I've known for years and years and years. Kelly Gray on guitar, Randy Gane on keyboards, we've been making music since about 1979 together. Rudy and Robert Sarzo are on bass guitar and Simon Wright on drums. I met them in the early '80s, and we became friends. We've been wanting to make music for a long time, so now with the circumstances, we can do that finally. So we are having a good time. It's a bunch of friends up there making music, and I think that really shows in our performance. We have a great time and that definitely translates to the audience.

NJ.com: Do you still have a good relationship with your former members?

Tate: I hope to at some point.

EDGUY Considered Approaching NASA For Stage Set

In September, German melodic metallers EDGUY will hit the road in support of their forthcoming album, "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown". The band's tour management has just revealed that EDGUY considered approaching NASA to help build the stage for the show.

A spokesman for All Access Entertainment says: "Working with EDGUY is a pleasure, but at the same time it's a major challenge. The best is not good enough for EDGUY, because they love their fans like no other band in the world. They have always been the hardest-working band on the planet to give their audience the biggest bang for the buck. It's an honor to work for them.

"The first time we considered approaching NASA was for a keyboard, due to fractional heat caused by Tobi's fast playing — the keys literally caught fire. We were in need of special material and gear used in the world of aerospace technology. That's when we got the idea of building a lifesize model of Cape Canaveral to take out on the road with us. However, it was difficult to transform, we failed — but it was worth the try. Now, we see what we can come up with for the forthcoming tour, but we're optimistic that it will blow away everything known to humankind."

EDGUY will release its tenth studio album, "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown", on April 18 via Nuclear Blast. In addition to the regular CD edition, the follow-up to 2011's "Age Of The Joker" will be made available as a limited digibook containing two CDs. Also available will be a strictly limited hardcover earbook collectors' edition (28.5x28.5cm) containing the two discs, a photographic history with more than 130 photos from the band's archive, liner notes, touring history, and more.

"Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown" track listing:

01. Sabre & Torch02. Space Police03. Defenders Of The Crown04. Love Tyger05. The Realms Of Baba Yaga06. Rock Me Amadeus07. Do Me Like A Caveman08. Shadow Eaters09. Alone In Myself10. The Eternal Wayfarer

SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR Calls Out KISS For ROCK HALL Drama

According to The Pulse Of Radio, STONE SOUR/SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor has called out KISS in a new interview with Radio.com over the public feud between the current band members, two original ex-members and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame over the group's long-awaited induction into the Hall next month. Taylor said, "On one hand, you're stoked being a KISS fan, but on the other hand it's, like, 'Can you guys just put aside your petty issues and realize that without one another you wouldn't have been able to do this? Can you just set stuff aside and do one show for the fans of the original lineup again? And then you never have to see each other again?'"

KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley firmly rejected the idea of performing at the induction ceremony with former founding members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, despite the Hall's and fans' wishes.

Taylor added, "Without (Frehley and Criss), the other two guys wouldn't be where they are! And that's just me layin' it straight! I might not ever get a kind word from anybody in that band anymore. But I think it's petty and I think it's ridiculous! Figure it out! Show respect, because sometimes it's not about you, it's about the fans."

But Taylor, who has seen his share of turbulent times in SLIPKNOT, admitted that band relationships can be tricky. He said, "We're just crazy people who can't get along sometimes… Now add fame and money and all that rock and roll craziness to it — we're lucky we don't eat each other in this industry!"

KISS will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 10 at a ceremony in Brooklyn, New York, along with NIRVANA, Linda Ronstadt and others.

Taylor and SLIPKNOT are currently recording their first studio album since 2008's "All Hope Is Gone".

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY: New Album Update

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, the band led by brothers and founding SEPULTURA members Max (also of SOULFLY) and Igor Cavalera, is putting the finishing touches on its third album for a fall release via Napalm Records. The CD is being produced by John Gray, who has previously worked with SOULFLY.

Max Cavalera checked in from the studio to give an update.

On working with his brother:

Max: "It has always been some kind of killer magic whenever I play with my brother. We have a special connection that comes out through the music and the crowd reacts to it in an insane way."

On the recording process:

Max: "Pretty much, I have to get into CAVALERA CONSPIRACY mode. I wanted the new album to be faster and thrashier with the concept of Old Babylon. As far as recording equipment, we use everything! We don't rely too much on Pro Tools like other bands. All Igor's tracks are live drums. The energy is all there and we play all the guitars and sing of top of it, so in a way, it's like the old ways of recording."

On feelings of pressure regarding the band's third album:

Max: "There's pressure but I also like the challenge. I think it is the CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's most and intense and fastest record yet. I am very proud of it."

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY recently recruited Nate Newton of CONVERGE as its new recording bassist.

Said Gray: "This is by far the fastest and heaviest record I have ever had the pleasure of working on with Max Cavalera.

"Max, Igor and Marc [Rizzo, guitar] were on the same page musically from the moment they walked in the door, and recording this album was a very smooth process.

"I had never worked with Igor Cavalera before and I was very impressed with his ability to work out the arrangements with Max and get some extremely complex drum parts done live with hardly any re-takes necessary. Marc Rizzo, as always, was spot-on and a true guitar virtuoso.

"I love to work with Marc because he always pushes himself to perfection, but he is very down to earth and keeps things light when he's under pressure.

"What can I say about Nate Newton — he killed it on the bass tracks with very little back and forth. I'm really impressed with his talent, and I look forward to meeting him some day."

Added Rizzo: "The new CAVALERA CONSPIRACY record was amazing to record... Definitely a brutal and fast third record!!!"

Stated Newton: "It was a lot of fun to be a part of this record. For me, it was a challenge to learn the songs sight unseen and record them. It was a pretty interesting look into the way Max writes songs and I am glad to have been a part of it."

Johny Chow, who had been touring and recording with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY for the past few years, in 2013 joined STONE SOUR as that band's new touring bassist.

Joining CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on stage last year for its tour of South America and Mexico was SOULFLY bassist Tony Campos.

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY released the critically acclaimed and universally praised albums "Inflikted" and "Blunt Force Trauma" through Roadrunner Records.

"Blunt Force Trauma" sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 122 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's debut CD, "Inflikted", opened with 9,000 units to enter the chart at No. 72.

"Blunt Force Trauma" was tracked with ex-MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader, who co-produced the LP with Max. Logan also mixed the effort.

Original KISS Guitarist ACE FREHLEY To Release 'Space Invader' In June

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will release "Space Invader", his first new solo album in five years, via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) on June 24. The album will include at least nine brand new original songs as well as a cover of Steve Miller's "The Joker". This album is the first release under Frehley's new universal deal on eOne Music. Frehley has released an official statement surrounding the exciting news: "Life on Earth has been very good to me, and the body of work I've created over the years has withstood the test of time. Today I see no obstacles before me and my creativity has never been more fine tuned. Growing up in an Alien world has enhanced my senses and allowed me to succeed where others would have failed. The best is yet to come!" Ace Frehley will participate in the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods awards show by presenting the Dimebag Darrell "Best Guitarist" award alongside labelmate Zakk Wylde. The awards show will take place on April 23 at the Club Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Says Frehley: "It's exciting to finally be part of the Golden Gods, awards and an honor to be part of any Dimebag memorial award. He was a friend, and I know everyone misses him, as do I."

Frehley recently spent time in the studio with drummer Matt Starr (BURNING RAIN) and bassist Chris Wyse (THE CULT, OWL) working on Ace's new CD.

Frehley's last album, "Anomaly", was made available as a 2-LP vinyl set featuring two new limited-edition colors on October 1 via Brookvale Records. Only 750 units of each color were manufactured.

Frehley told Billboard.com in a 2009 interview that he intended "Anomaly" to "kind of pick up where I left off with my first solo album" — 1978's "Ace Frehley". "Prior to going into the studio, I listened to that first album, which everybody cites as their favorite Ace record," Frehley said. "I dissected it and tried to get into the same mind set this time around. I think I recaptured some of the musical textures and attitude and vibe that I had on that first record." "Anomaly" was recorded at Schoolhouse Studios in New York and at Ace's home studio in Westchester, New York.

Video: ANTHRAX, Ex-ACCEPT, MANOWAR, SHINEDOWN Members Perform THE ROLLING STONES Classic On Swedish TV

"Metal All Stars" musicians Joey Belladonna (ANTHRAX), Ross "The Boss" Friedman (MANOWAR), Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O., ex-ACCEPT) and Jasin Todd (SHINEDOWN) took part in an interview and a performance of an acoustic cover version of THE ROLLING STONES classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want" during an appearance on this morning's (Thursday, March 27) edition of the "Nyhetsmorgon" program on Sweden's TV4 channel. You can now watch the segment below.

The "Metal All Stars" played their first-ever show to a sold-out Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 23. The lineup of musicians performing at the event included:

* Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY)* Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA)* Joey Belladonna (ANTHRAX)* Ross "The Boss" Friedman (MANOWAR)* Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O., ex-ACCEPT)* Brian Fair (SHADOWS FALL)* Brittany Paige (KOBRA AND THE LOTUS)* Kenny Earl "Rhino" Edwards (MANOWAR)* Jasin Todd (SHINEDOWN)* Jon Donais (ANTHRAX, SHADOWS FALL) * Aaron Rossi (MINISTRY)

Philip Anselmo (PANTERA) and Nick Menza (ex-MEGADETH), who were originally scheduled to take part in the tour, have pulled out of the trek. Menza has since released a statement claiming that "the agreement made between the 'Metal All Stars' and myself wasn't kept." He added: "For my best interest, my manager Robert Bolger pulled me off the tour." Also absent from the current "Metal All Stars" dates is Conrad "Cronos" Lant (VENOM), who is "very ill and under doctor's orders not to travel or perform," according to a statement released by his management. "Cronos is hoping to join the 'Metal All Stars' shows as soon as possible."

Vince Neil (MÖTLEY CRÜE) will be joining the "Metal All Stars" tour at later dates.

The "Metal All Stars" musicians performed metal classics from their own catalogs as well as classics by BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN and more.

"Metal All Stars" was formed by Gabe Reed Productions, the same concert promoter which in 2012 organized the ROCK N ROLL ALL STARS tour of South America, featuring Gene Simmons (KISS), Joe Elliott (DEF LEPPARD), Duff McKagan (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) and others.

"Metal All Stars" plans to tour South America later in 2014.

220 VOLT Mixing New Album

Veteran Swedish hard rockers 220 VOLT have started mixing their new album, set for a late August release. Some recording is still left to do, but the 13 songs should be all done in about three weeks.

A short YouTube clip from the studio containing about 30 seconds of a new song can be seen below.

"This album really has something for everyone," says 220 VOLT guitarist and founding member Thomas Drevin. "It ranges from the hardest stuff we've done to the coolest thing, even with a string quartet on one song. A lot of ideas came from jamming this time, and we only took the ideas we all liked and turned them into finished songs, as opposed to someone throwing in almost finished songs. It's much more of a group effort, which is nice!"

220 VOLT's new disc should be mastered and finished in May, after which the band will reveal the CD title and the track listing. The effort is the group's first to feature new vocalist Andy Engberg (ex-THERION, LION'S SHARE) alongside guitarists and founding members Mats Karlsson and Thomas Drevin, plus drummer Peter Hermansson. Bassist Mike Krusenberg left 220 VOLT and the band has called in two musicians to play on the album.

GOATWHORE To Release 'Constricting Rage Of The Merciless' In July

New Orleans, Louisiana's sons of American no-frills-black-metal-meets-death-'n'-roll GOATWHORE will release their new album, "Constricting Rage Of The Merciless", in North America on July 8 via Metal Blade Records. "Constricting Rage Of The Merciless" was recorded with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is GOATWHORE's fourth studio outing with Rutan at the helm, and to achieve an even more dark and powerful tone on this album, all drums, bass, and rhythm guitars were tracked to two-inch tape!

Erik Rutan commented on the recording sessions: "Working with GOATWHORE again for our fourth album together was amazing! It is through our experience and established trust and bond in the studio that allowed us to push each other to the limits, only to achieve the best performances and tones we could.

"This album came out so dynamic and huge, partly due to the fact that we recorded drums, bass, and main rhythm guitars to analog tape.

"GOATWHORE has a massive sound and we all felt recording to analog would be the best way to capture it, giving it a very unique quality and feel, built off of integrity and vibe.

"This is our finest moment working together and the guys did an incredible job creating and performing all the songs on this record.

"GOATWHORE fans, be prepared!"

"Constricting Rage Of The Merciless" track listing:

They create a sense of unfathomable darkness to staggering effect through their game-changing albums; the debut, "In Extremis", and the aforementioned "Paranoia", which saw them expand their sound with more dynamic leads, empowering dis-harmonies and tension-filled buildups than ever before. Through heavy touring and an unstoppable live show the band has amassed a diehard fanbase in the underground, which will only continue to expand through the upcoming release of "Elddop".

Baltimore Brewer Receives Cease-And-Desist Letter From OZZY OSBOURNE's Representatives

According to The Baltimore Sun, representatives of BLACK SABBATH singer Ozzy Osbourne have sent a cease-and-desist letter to Baltimore beer company The Brewer's Art over the brewery's pale ale named "Ozzy".

The beer features a logo depicting a clenched fist with the letters O-Z-Z-Y spelled on the fingers, similar to the lettering that is tattooed on the rocker's own left hand. The can also features two bats, one of which is headless and dripping blood, which is likely a reference to a famous Osbourne stunt.

Video: THE WINERY DOGS Perform New Song In New York

THE WINERY DOGS — the power trio featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, ADRENALINE MOB), legendary bassist Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG, TALAS, DAVID LEE ROTH) and guitarist/vocalist Richie Kotzen (MR. BIG, POISON) — debuted an as-yet-untitled brand new song during the first two dates of its current U.S. tour, which kicked off on March 25 and March 26 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

THE WINERY DOGS will release two new special versions of its self-titled debut album in April. "The Winery Dogs Special Edition" will consist of two-CDs. Disc 1 is the standard album and Disc 2 is entitled "Unleashed In Japan 2013", featuring 10 songs recorded live in Japan during the band's July 2013 tour, including "Criminal", a track previously unavailable in the U.S., along with a 16-page booklet of live photos and lyrics. A deluxe package for die-hard fans will be released simultaneously. "Dog Treats: The Winery Dogs Deluxe Special Edition" will be sold in a box resembling a box of dog treats, and will include the "Special Edition" collection of music, a DVD featuring four music videos and interview footage, demos from the original recording sessions, a "studio diary" written by Mike Portnoy, as well as some unique merchandise unavailable elsewhere. THE WINERY DOGS' self-titled debut album sold around 10,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 27 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released in North America on July 23, 2013 via Loud & Proud Records and in Japan on May 15, 2013 via Victor Entertainment, the CD was mixed by Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX, ADRENALINE MOB, STONE SOUR and STEEL PANTHER.

"As soon as the three of us got together, we immediately established that we didn't want this to be some instrumental wankfest," Portnoy told NY Music Examiner in a new interview. "This was something that was going to be song-oriented and vocal-oriented, and something that moved us that way. I think that's where we're all at and we're all on the same page. Richie's been doing that for so long now, but Billy and I have always been associated with a million notes and technique and stuff like that. Yet the two of us are such fans of a good song and three-part vocal harmonies, so we were really looking to do something in that vein, and that was always the calling card for this band."

Regarding the reaction from the fans and press alike to THE WINERY DOGS' debut CD and live shows, Portnoy said: "All three of us could not be happier with the reception so far. It's been incredible. We went out for a lot of last year and toured all over the world, from South America to Japan to Europe to America, and everywhere we went it was so well-received. The fans have embraced it, and not only the fans, but the critics and all across the board. So it's so satisfying, especially at this point in all three of our careers. We've all been doing this for a long time now, but when you come together with something new, you kind of build it from scratch, no matter how established you are individually. And the fact that it's been so well received makes us want to continue to take this as far as we can."

He added: "I think the fact that all three of us have had our individual careers and individual acclaim kind of helps to keep the egos in check. It wasn't like a band where you had two guys that had done something and one was a newcomer. All of us had been around the block and have been doing this for 20-30 years now, so we had that mutual respect and we know what each person brings into the big picture.

"We've all been there, done that. We've played the Budokan multiple times and been around the world dozens of times, so at this point it's about the music. When the three of us came together, we didn't have this master plan of being the next GUNS N' ROSES; we had this master plan of getting together and making some music that the three of us enjoy. It was all about us seeing what the three of us could make together. If it gets us off, let's stick with it. That was always the goal, and so far we've achieved that goal. We made an album that all three of us are incredibly proud of and really enjoy listening to and playing."

METALLICA: Official Footage Of Quito Concert

METALLICA's official YouTube channel MetallicaTV has uploaded "fly-on-the-wall" footage shot by the MetOnTour reporter on March 18 in Quito, Ecuador. The clip, which can be seen below, includes "Ride The Lightning" and "For Whom The Bell Tolls" from the show.

The rest of METALLICA's "by request" show in Bogota featured such "rarities" as "Master Of Puppets", "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", "Sad But True", "Fade To Black", "One" and "Enter Sandman".

The "For Better or For Worse" single, which can be streamed below, is available for purchase digitally on iTunes. BROTHER FIRETRIBE singer Pekka Ansio Heino had the following to sat about the band's upcoming release: "We're thrilled to be back in action after five years, which seems like a lifetime!

"We wouldn't be THIS thrilled if the new album hadn't turned out be exactly how we wanted it to be. It's just as bold, big, polished, hooky and sticky as we pictured it. A lot of hard work was spent making it happen, and now it's time for the best part of making music; taking it out and playing it live.

"We can't wait to meet our old friends again and hopefully make some new ones along the way.

"Hope you enjoy 'Diamond In The Firepit'. Thanks for still being there and sorry for the delay. Let's have some serious fun!" According to a press release, "Diamond In The Firepit" is chock-full of melodic rock ear candy; an unbroken string of eleven hits with glistening choruses, heavenly harmonies and lyrics brimming with larger-than life love. Sure enough, this album will be the soundtrack of the coming summer like its predecessors, for in times like these when the reality bites, the economy is down, people feel downtrodden and everyday life seems like a grind, we all need a shot of positive energy and a reminder that there's not a whole lot that can't be fixed with a smile and a song. BROTHER FIRETRIBE will be touring extensively in support of "Diamond In The Firepit". The band has a CD-release show scheduled for May 3 in Helsinki, Finland at Virgin Oil Co and an appearance set for the South Park festival in Tampere, Finland at Eteläpuisto on June 7. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks. "Diamond In The Firepit" track Listing:

NOTHING MORE Signs With ELEVEN SEVEN MUSIC

Allen Kovac's Eleven Seven Music Group has announced the signing of San Antonio, Texas alternative rockers NOTHING MORE. With soaring vocal melodies, meticulous atypical rhythmic structures, huge anthemic choruses and lyrical content that restores the art of storytelling, NOTHING MORE is set to take over the airwaves with the upcoming, self-titled Eleven Seven Music debut album. With tracks like "This Is The Time (Ballast)" — released worldwide on March 10 — they are ready to raise the standard for contemporary rock music. The hotly pursued band was thrilled to sign its deal with Eleven Seven Music Group.

"The day has finally come that we are partnering with a label that feels as passionately as we do about conquering the world through music," says NOTHING MORE vocalist Jonny Hawkins. "We couldn't be prouder to be working with the amazing people at Eleven Seven!"

POWERMAN 5000 To Release 'Builders Of The Future' In May

POWERMAN 5000 has carved out a corner of the galaxy where their devoted supporters created a culture that's bigger than music, drawing upon a tapestry of comic books, horror films and fantasy cobbled together years before "geek" became a hip buzzword.

New tracks like "How To Be A Human", "Invade, Destroy, Repeat", "Live It Up Before You're Dead" and "Modern World" are turbocharged with the same futuristic, b-movie bite of enduring, electro-tinged POWERMAN 5000 anthems like "When Worlds Collide" and "Nobody's Real".

"I never would have imagined that after all the albums, the band members, the ups-and-downs of the always changing music business, I'd still be here doing this, which is thanks to our most diehard fans," marvels band leader, visionary and sole remaining original member Spider One, who founded POWERMAN 5000 with a 4-track and a drum machine.

Armed with giant hooks and crowd-empowering choruses, Spider and his merry band of musical superheroes have made a record vibrantly reminiscent of their commercial breakthrough "Tonight The Stars Revolt!" (which gave DreamWorks Records their first platinum plaque). "Builders Of The Future" delivers on the promise of 2009's return to form "Somewhere On The Other Side Of Nowhere". POWERMAN 5000 has retrofitted their songwriting prowess even further, sounding hungry yet sophisticated, as if smiling amid a dystopian landscape, flipping middle fingers in the air and dancing till doomsday.

"At the end of the day, we are the ones who will go out and play these songs in every city in America and everywhere else around the world we can," Spider points out. "You have to live and breathe it. If you don't believe in it, it's easy for people to smell a rat. We can sit around and cry all day long about how the music business isn't what it used to be, but none of that really matters. What matters is to have a blast being in a band."

"We've replanted our flag as the weird, sci-fi, electronic band," proclaims Spider. "This is what we are. This is what we do best. This is clearly what people like from us the most, too. So I'm going to love it like they love it. We're back. The fanbase has really rallied around us again. The enthusiasm feels like it's picked right up from the year 2000. The electronic-metal-dance thing, we've locked it down once and for all with this one."

Due on May 27, "Builders Of The Future" is the first release through POWERMAN 5000's partnership with T-Boy Records, a co-venture with Universal Music Enterprises founded by veteran rock manager Andy Gould. T-Boy releases include ROB ZOMBIE's "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor", MEGADETH's "Super Collider" and the self-titled debut album from KOBRA AND THE LOTUS.

"Builders Of The Future" track listing:

01. Invade, Destroy, Repeat02. We Want It All03. How To Be A Human04. You're Gonna Love It, If You Like It Or Not05. Builders Of The Future06. I Want To Kill You07. Modern World08. Live It Up Before You're Dead09. I Can't F-cking Hear You10. Evil World

GENE SIMMONS Doesn't Know Who Is Suing KISS Over ERIC CARR's Royalties

During a brand new interview with Radio.com, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons was asked about a lawsuit for unpaid royalties that was filed against the band by a group claiming to be late KISS drummer Eric Carr's heirs.

Carr's sister issued a public letter to KISS frontman Paul Stanley thanking him for coming forward and denouncing the lawsuit and Stanley immediately tweeted a response calling the people behind the suit incredulous and vowing to get to the bottom of it.

Asked who the guys are that are suing KISS, Simmons told Radio.com: "We don't know, we have no idea, our lawyers are trying to find out who these people are. The Caravello family — Eric Carr's family — released a statement along with us, saying we have no idea who these people are, these are lies and we intend to find out who they are, and why they're saying these things. For one thing, it's slanderous. They're saying that Eric hated being in the band. What? He was the sweetest guy in the world. Eric and the family and the fans have been slapped in the face by these people and we intend to make sure that there's justice."

Carr — best known to fans as "The Fox" — replaced Peter Criss behind the drums on the road in 1980, and was first heard on the band's 1981 concept album, "Music From 'The Elder'". Illness forced Carr to step down from the band in 1990, and he died at age 41 from complications from a rare form of heart cancer on November 24, 1991 — the same day as Freddie Mercury.

EVANESCENCE Singer AMY LEE: 'I Am A Free And Independent Artist'

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee has revealed that she is a "free and independent artist" who is no longer signed to any record label. Writing on her Twitter account on March 18, Lee said: "Today, for the first time in 13 years, I am a free and independent artist. I have wanted this for so long and I am so happy." She added: "[I am] free from my record deal. I'm free to do anything, [EVANESCENCE] included."

Lee in January sued her longtime label, Wind-Up Records, for at least $1.5 million over unpaid royalties and other alleged misdeeds, according to TMZ. Lee also alleged in her lawsuit that the company attempted to sabotage EVANESCENCE's career by assigning them to under-qualified promotion executives who lacked fresh ideas on how to market and promote the group. TMZ did not cite its sources for the report, nor did it obtain any official statements from either the label or Lee, who was seeking over $1.5 million in back royalties.

Back in November, Wind-Up sold most of its back catalog to the Bicycle Music Company and Concord Music Group, including the entire catalogs of EVANESCENCE, CREED, SEETHER and others.

EVANESCENCE, whose third, self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it came out in 2011, has sold 25 million records worldwide.

That last disc came out after a five-year hiatus and Lee told The Pulse Of Radio at the time that she wasn't even sure if she wanted to keep on making rock music. "For me, it had really been such a long time for us coming back after, you know, five years or four years of not doing it, living normal life and not even thinking about EVANESCENCE for a lot of that time, it starts to feel like, is this really still me?" she said. "You know, have I outgrown this thing? Is this going to work anymore? You know. Who am I? [laughs]"

The band toured through mid-2012 in support of the CD, but has been inactive since then.
