AVA INFERI: \'Majesty\' Video Released
 "Majesty", the new video from AVA INFERI, the Portugal-based band whose lineup includes Norwegian guitarist Rune Eriksen (a.k.a. ex-MAYHEM guitarist/songwriter Blasphemer), can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in Bucharest, Romania with director Costin Chioreanu of Twilight13 Media.
Commented Eriksen: "It was indeed an inspiring process to be a part of [the making of the 'Majesty' video], and once again Costin did an amazing job to capture these essences unto film. I believe that the mysterious surroundings and the heavy atmosphere on the locations did wonders to the feeling and the vibe of the video, too. It was almost like something greater was with us those days in early February. Something which guided us and gave us the inspiration we needed. All in true, vintage Hammer fashion.
"I would like to extend a deep gratitude to those who did their share for this filming to go on as planned: Valeriu Catalineanu, Corina Craja, Vlad Lordache, Florin Ene, Alexandru Barbulescu, Andy Ionescu and Ghita Adrian. They all worked hard for this video to unfold the way it did. Last, but certainly not least, a very special salute goes to Mr. Costin Chioreanu and Twilight13 Media, who did an amazing job during the events, and whose dedication, determination and hard work resulted in something truly special (again). Director Costin added: “For me, to make 'Majesty' was a real challenge. But when you have really special artists to work with, the true art reveals. It's by far the most intense video I ever made, spiritually speaking. And that was mostly caused by the intense sharing of artistic thoughts and visions between Rune, Carmen and me and my crew. It was a deep chemistry there, and that is the best air for an artist to breathe."

BLACK BREATH Prepares To Record New Album
 Northwestern metallic hardcore assassins BLACK BREATH have unveiled a number of new tour dates as they forge their way across the Midwest and Northeast U.S. on a return trip to Massachusetts' Godcity Studios (CONVERGE, TRAP THEM, THE SECRET, DISFEAR) where they will record their second full-length album with producer Kurt Ballou. The CD will be released later in the year via Southern Lord Recordings.
BLACK BREATH's tour dates are scheduled to kick off with an appearance at the Scion Rock Fest in Pomona, California on March 5 alongside labelmates NAILS, as well as MORBID ANGEL, INTEGRITY, OBITUARY, BASTARD NOISE, ATHEIST and countless more.
Like ENTOMBED fighting WOLFPACK in a POISON IDEA cover song competition after soaking in bourbon for a year, BLACK BREATH's tonal massiveness is as crushing and dominating as it is upbeat and empowering. The Seattle-based quintet's heavy sound integrates elements invented by Swedish death metal and hardcore legends, yet still flowing with plenty of pissed-off American blood, as proven on their potent "Razor To Oblivion" EP — released in early 2009 then re-released by Southern Lord later in the year — and then even more impressively on their debut full-length, "Heavy Breathing", which infiltrated endless best of 2010 lists everywhere. | 0 | |

CHILDREN OF BODOM: \'Was It Worth It?\' Video Released
 "Was It Worth It?", the new video from Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed on October 6, 2010 on location at central Pennsylvania's residential action sports compound Camp Woodward with director Dale Resteghini of Raging Nation Films (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ANTHRAX, SHADOWS FALL). In the video, the band joined forces with two-time X Games gold medalist and two-time Thrasher magazine "Skater of the Year" Chris Cole as well as noted pro skaters Jamie Thomas and Tom Asta (the current #1 amateur skateboarder in the world). The clip was shot guerrilla style, sans treatment; honing in directly on CHILDREN OF BODOM's high-spirited fire and the skater's eye-opening execution.

Drummer ULI KUSCH Forced To Sit Out SYMFONIA Live Debut
 Drummer Uli Kusch will be unable to join his SYMFONIA bandmates at the group's debut concert this coming Friday, February 18 at the Finnish Metal Expo (part of the Helsinki Metal Meeting) in Helsinki, Finland.
Commented Kusch: "Over a month ago I started to feel pain in my left hand while rehearsing for the first show of SYMFONIA. At first I thought it was just temporary, normal pain that sometimes comes with intensive rehearsing. But it got worse very quickly.
"I have been seeing two specialists and they have done all kinds of tests to locate what the problem is. They both agreed it is some kind of nerve damage and that I absolutely should not play drums in this moment.
"I am very sorry about this, since I have been waiting to play this show in Helsinki very much. But I have to think about the future of SYMFONIA and the possibility of the permanent damage I would do to my hand if I would now play. In fact, the pain is so strong that I cannot even hold a drumstick in my left hand at the moment.
"I hope you understand the situation and that I am doing everything I can to get better as soon as possible.
"Regarding Finnish Metal Expo, I have told the guys to play the show nevertheless, with a substitute drummer, because many people are waiting to see SYMFONIA's debut live."
Added the other members of SYMFONIA: "When we received the sudden news about the hand injury of our bandmate Uli Kusch, we felt very concerned about his situation. Given the wonderful results with our new album, 'In Paradisum', we have been impatiently waiting to play live. After talking with Uli, we all decided together to go on with our previous plans. Therefore, as a temporary replacement for Uli, we have agreed to invite the renowned German drummer Alex Landenburg (AT VANCE, ANNIHILATOR, MEKONG DELTA, STRATOVARIUS), who is prepared to take the stage at Finnish Metal Expo on Friday the 18th at 11 p.m.

PETER CRISS Is Working On \'Bitchin\' Rock And Roll\' Album, Says RICHIE SCARLET
 RockMusicStar.com recently conducted an interview with Richie Scarlet (FREHLEY'S COMET, MOUNTAIN). A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
RockMusicStar.com: One project you worked on in 2010 was the [upcoming] Peter Criss [KISS] "rock" album. Could you tell us about that project and when we may be able to expect to see it released?
Richie: I did that record quite awhile back. I had a blast doing it with Peter. I love Peter Criss. We've been friends for a long, long time. I really wanted to play guitar on it, but all of the guitars were already done by his guitar player, Angel, who's been with him forever. So I ended up playing bass. I did 8 or 9 tracks on the record. This record is a rock and roll record, and it's not like his previously released one ("One For All"), which was a ballad/crooner kinda thing. This is back to bitchin' rock and roll. There's some really good tracks on this record, though I haven't heard it since I cut the tracks. It's due out sometime this year on Sony Records. I don't know when the (exact) release date is, as I'm actually surprised it hasn't been released yet.
RockMusicStar.com: Many music fans/KISS fans remember you from all of the years you worked with Ace Frehley, so to hear you working with another member of KISS will undoubtedly make many people happy.
Richie: I went from one rebel of KISS, to another rebel of KISS. It was always "in the cards" with Peter Criss and I, because we've jammed many times before. When you play with someone and the vibe is right, you usually end up recording with them. And that's exactly what happened. I was very happy to do it, though I would have loved to play some guitar on it. I think it's going to be a really good record and I'm not just saying that because I played on it, and trying to make Peter look good. There's some actually well-written songs on it.
RockMusicStar.com: And most people know, you're very straightforward with your opinions. You don't just blow smoke up people's asses.
Richie: If I didn't dig it, I would tell ya, "Yeah, it's OK," ya know? I even told Peter that I didn't think that, as far as KISS fans go, that most fans weren't really knocked out by his last album ("One For All"). But it was something that Peter just wanted to get out of his system.

 Vocalist Geoff Tate of Seattle-based progressive metallers QUEENSRŸCHE has issued the following update:
"My wife gave me the best birthday present ever this year, a trip to China. So I'm traveling to Beijing for a week to sightsee and have a new suit made. Oh yeah, I'll see the Great Wall, eat Peking Duck and navigate through the streets of the most populated city in the world … but really, the only reason I'm going is for the suit.
"I have this friend, Mark, and he's the other reason why I'm going.
"One night, over many drinks, this trip was hatched. I probably would have not followed through with the plan and simply forgotten it, or categorized it as a fun topic shared by friends while sitting at the pub, but Mark took it and ran. He not only ran with it, he created the trip of a lifetime. His planned itinerary is a work of art, spanning such diverse experiences as Thai chi at dawn on the rooftop garden of the hotel to fabric shopping in the garment district, several trips to the tailor for fittings, a trip by train to Xian to view the famed Terra Cotta Warriors and a photo session at the Great Wall … and that's just the first 24 hours!

New KISS Caskets Released
 Eternal Image, Inc., a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of officially licensed memorial products such as caskets, urns, monuments, vaults and gift items, today announced that two of its official KISS burial casket models are now available.

SLAYER\'s HANNEMAN Contracts Acute Infection; Band To Bring In Guest Guitarist
 Jeff Hanneman, guitarist and founding member of SLAYER, was hospitalized late last month where he underwent emergency surgery on his right arm after contracting a serious infection, according to his bandmates Kerry King, Tom Araya and Dave Lombardo.
While Hanneman's doctors were not able to definitively identify the infection's origin, they diagnosed necrotizing fasciitis, and indicated it likely was rooted in a spider bite. The guitarist is now recuperating at home, has already begun the process of subsequent medical procedures including skin grafts, and is expected to make a full recovery.
In light of this situation and SLAYER's upcoming participation in the Australian Soundwave Festival tour that is set to kick off on February 26, the band has made the tough decision to play the dates without Hanneman, and will bring on a guest guitarist to fill in for him until such time as he has fully recuperated and is ready to return to the lineup. The band will announce details about the guest guitarist shortly.
"Jeff is our brother, we've all been friends and together as a band for almost 30 years," said Araya, "so we just want him to completely recover as soon as possible."
"After everything that happened last year," King added, "we all agreed that we just can't let our fans down again," referring to Araya's severe back and neck pain that prompted his January 2010 surgery, unfortunately leading to the band's postponement or cancellation of numerous shows in 2009 and 2010. "Jeff is totally on board with this decision, so we will tour as planned. At this point, we can't pinpoint exactly what day he'll be back, but he'll be back as soon as he possibly can. And we can't wait for Jeff to get better and get his ass back on the road."
In a recent interview with Australia's Loud magazine, King was asked why he thinks SLAYER has outlasted so many other artists. "Well, the front three people never changed, and I think that's important," he replied. "You've gotta have a nucleus of people where you never wonder who is going to be onstage. As far as a band thing, I think that's important. I don't mean that as a shot on MEGADETH, but at the end of the day, MEGADETH is Dave Mustaine and that's it. It's whoever Dave decides to play with on this record."
He continued, "Could you imagine watching SLAYER without me, Jeff or Tom? It just couldn't happen! That's something to be said there, 'cause we're all irreplaceable.
"The last few years I've noticed people in bands are almost interchangeable. I've seen some of my friends stay home because their wives were going to have a baby and they'd have somebody replace them when they play live, and I think… how can you fuckin' do that?"
According to WebMD, necrotizing fasciitis is an infection caused by bacteria. It can destroy skin, fat, and the tissue covering the muscles. The disease sometimes is called "flesh-eating" bacteria. When it occurs on the genitals, it is called Fournier gangrene.

RADIOHEAD New Album Details
 Oxford quintet Radiohead have once again announced that they're to release a new album outside the usual channels, and have gone online to tell us all about it. The King Of Limbs will be released digitally on February 19th in both MP3 and Wav format, and can be "pre-ordered" now, which is an odd concept. This will be followed on March 11th by the world's first "newspaper album", whatever that means. This will feature the album on double vinyl, CD, and download (can be redeemed this weekend) "many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together", and a portion of chips to be wrapped in it. Possibly.

ICED EARTH Hard At Work On \'Inspired, Focused And To-The-Point\' New Album
 U.S. power metallers ICED EARTH are hard at work on their tenth studio album, due later this year via Century Media Records.
Unlike 2008's "The Crucible Of Man" and 2007's "Framing Armageddon", the new CD won't be a conceptual effort. Instead, band leader Jon Schaffer promises a return to the raw-and-heavy sound of ICED EARTH's classic fan-favorite albums.
"I can tell you from the riffs and the attitude behind it," he said, "this is going to be a bad-ass record. This is inspired, focused, and to the point. This is really heavy stuff. It's a kick in the nuts."
He added: "People probably think I don't have it in me any more. But they're going to be proved wrong about that. I can tell you this: we're coming back with a vengeance. We're out for blood."
This promises to be a grand year for Schaffer and company. Not only will ICED EARTH release a new album (followed by a world tour — which management promises will take the band to countries it hasn't previously played), but the band will also release its long-awaited six-hour, three-concert live DVD, "Festivals Of The Wicked", this spring. In addition, the band will make appearancess at five European festival dates this summer, including at Ilosaarirock on July 16 in Joensuu, Finland and the Sweden Rock Festival on June 10 in Sölvesborg, Sweden. More shows will be announced soon.
ICED EARTH's most recent full-length studio album, "The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)", sold 6,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD continued where ICED EARTH's 2007 release, "Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part I)" left off.
"The Crucible of Man" featured the return of frontman Matt Barlow who was mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer's original voice of choice to introduce the "Something Wicked" saga back in 1998 as a trio of songs which concluded their album, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

SOULFALLEN Preparing To Record Third Album
 Finnish dark metallers SOULFALLEN have posted the following news to their official website:
"We have been quiet for some time now, but now it is time to break the silence.
"Lately there have not been a lot of gigs, and we will only do a selected amount of shows this spring, since we have been and wish to concentrate on writing new material fitting our upcoming evil plans. Plans that include the recording of our third album in the summer of 2011!
"The [follow-up to 2009's] 'Grave New World' will be forged to life at the familiar and fiendly fires of Mount Doom, also known as Studio Watercastle, located in Jyväskylä, Finland. And as before, additional orchestral perversions will be invoked at Noisework Productions.
"The new album will be the end of a trilogy, the final step into the dark. It will bear the trademark sound of SOULFALLEN, but with a few more sinister twists and turns to elevate this auditory plague into whole new depths of gloom.

PYRAMAZE Parts Ways With Guitarist, Bassist
 Danish/American metallers PYRAMAZE have parted ways with guitarist Michael Kammeyer and bassist Niels Kvist.
Commented Kammeyer: "I have for a long time now struggled to find the mental surplus as well as the sheer time to put into the large endeavor that PYRAMAZE has become.
"Back when I created the band in 2002, my private and professional life looked a lot different than it does today, and it has become increasingly taxing on me to find the energy that is needed to do all the stuff that I have to do. In fact, it has become difficult to the point where it's not justifiable anymore.
"I have had to take a long hard look at what I must do, to avoid a mental meltdown, and, unfortunately, I have had to make a hard decision — in fact, probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I feel the time has come to stop my journey with PYRAMAZE.
"The band has been a very important part of my life for the last 8-9 years. I've built it from scratch, and I've been working my ass off to get PYRAMAZE to where it is now. So it is truly with a heavy heart that I now close this chapter.
"However, PYRAMAZE will go on. Jonah [Weingarten, keyboards], Urban [Breed, vocals], Toke [Skjønnemand, guitar] and Morten [Gade Sørensen, drums] have decided to carry on, and it is with a sense of comfort that I now leave the rudder in their capable hands. They are all great musicians, and I'm convinced they have some tricks up their sleeves in the songwriting department. I therefore hope that all of our awesome fans will continue to support PYRAMAZE.
"I want to thank everyone who has helped the band through the years, fans as well as friends, family and business partners. I have always greatly appreciated your support. But most of all, thanks to my band brothers, who have made PYRAMAZE special to me.
"I hope the songs that I've written will continue to inspire, continue to put a smile on your faces and continue to make you raise your metal fists to the sky shouting PYRAMAZE!"

THE HUMAN ABSTRACT Parts Ways With Guitarist
 California metallers THE HUMAN ABSTRACT have parted ways with guitarist Andrew Tapley (pictured below). He writes in a post on his Facebook page, "This wasn't decided by me; however, there are no hard feelings."
He adds, "Thanks to everyone who supported the band these past few years and to all the wonderful friends I had the pleasure of meeting. I will be in Los Angeles continuing with music; art is long and time is fleeting."
Tapley joined THE HUMAN ABSTRACT in 2007 and played on the band's sophomore full-length album, "Midheaven", which came out in August 2008 via Hopeless Records. He is also reportedly featured on the group's brand new CD, "Digital Veil", which will be released on March 8 via eOne Music.
After releasing a pair of records via Hopeless Records, THE HUMAN ABSTRACT's forthcoming album will mark the bands third official full-length. Founding guitarist A.J. Minette has also returned to the band and couldn't be more excited. He states, "It has been a pleasure working with THE HUMAN ABSTRACT again. I am looking forward to supporting 'Digital Veil' out on tour."

Brazilian Bands Pay Tribute To SEPULTURA; Free Download Available
 15 metal bands from the Brazilian state of Pernambuco, located in the Northeast region of the country, have paid tribute to SEPULTURA on a "Ratamahatta - De Pernambuco Para O Mundo: Um Tributo Ao Sepultura", a brand new compilation which is available for free download via the official SEPULTURA web site.

CANNIBAL CORPSE: Another \'Global Evisceration\' DVD Preview Clip Available
 Florida death metal veterans CANNIBAL CORPSE will release their fourth DVD, "Global Evisceration", on March 15 via Metal Blade Records. The set was shot and edited by director Denise Korycki (Wild Wind Productions) who also worked on the group's "Centuries of Torment - The First 20 Years" DVD in addition to releases from such other bands as AS I LAY DYING, MASTODON, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and SUPERJOINT RITUAL.
"Global Evisceration" contains one disc and is approximately three hours long with artwork by the infamous Vince Locke. The main program includes full live-song performances from two live shows: the Gothic Theater in Englewood, Colorado on May 3, 2010 and Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 8, 2010. It also contains bonus performances and extra segments, including behind-the-scenes footage covering CANNIBAL CORPSE's tours in support of the "Evisceration Plague" album.

MASTODON: \'Oblivion\' Performance Clip From \'Live At The Aragon\' Available
 Atlanta progressive metallers MASTODON will release their first-ever live experience package, entitled "Mastodon: Live At The Aragon", on March 15 via Reprise Records. The set will contain a CD and DVD which captures the band's sonic assault recorded and filmed live on October 19, 2009, at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago while touring in support of its critically acclaimed album "Crack The Skye".
"Mastodon: Live At The Aragon" DVD + CD is comprised of "Crack The Skye" performed live in its glorious entirety along with fan favorites from "Blood Mountain" (2006) and "Leviathan" (2004) plus a brutal cover of "The Bit" by MELVINS. A dozen blistering tracks that loudly displays MASTODON's unmatched virtuosic prowess at the apex of their career to date. The DVD program contains a full 78-minute live visual concert experience filmed in Chicago and is a stunning representation of the band captured in their most natural and primal element. The DVD will also feature a 58-minute "tour film" entitled "Crack the Skye: The Movie", and contains the films which were projected on screen, behind the band in performance. These images were created specifically to illustrate the conceptual thread linking each of the songs on "Crack The Skye" and are exclusive to this package for the very first time giving the fans a brand new way to re-experience "Crack The Skye".

DECAPITATED Recording New Album; Photos, Report Available
 Polish technical death metallers DECAPITATED have entered Radio Gdansk Studio in Poland to begin recording the follow-up to 2006's "Organic Hallucinosis". The follow-up to 2006's "Organic Hallucinosis" is being produced by Wacek Kieltyka and sound engineered by Malta Arkadiusz Malczewski. Drums are being recorded with Daniel Bergstrand (BEHEMOTH, MESHUGGAH, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, DEFLESHED), who will also handle mixing duties.
Commented guitarist and founding member Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka: "We've just started the recording session of the new album at the studio of Radio Gdansk which is brilliantly equipped and has some wicked recording space. This time 'round, we are working with Malta (Arek Malczewski) and Daniel Bergstrand who have been with us to set up the drums sound… and so far everything has been going surprisingly well.
"Right now, [drummer] Kerimh [Lechner] is finishing the last two tunes. I must say the drums sound really cool. Daniel has surprised us with his approach towards recording using millions of — often weird — solutions, e.g. a piano or using the corridor of Radio Gdansk. :)
"We are recording fully live drums — no triggers or plastic sounding stuff whatsoever, which, especially for Kerimh, renders the session more demanding than he had expected; but because of this, in my opinion, the sound will be original and will help us to avoid the so-called 'machine gun effect.'
"We are going to record eight songs altogether and the album will be about forty minutes long. It looks like this time, our recording style is pretty 'old-school'- with live drums and no recording of double guitar tracks, which means one guitar per side."
Added drummer Kerim "Krimh" Lechner: ""When I listen to the songs right now, I believe that this album will be strong. Different in some ways, but I feel confident about the new material.
"Being part of the new lineup and recording the first album after the long break is definitely a big thing for me.
"After all those shows we played together, this is our new challenge. It's not easy but I like challenges!"

JOB FOR A COWBOY Recording New EP
 Glendale, Arizona extreme metallers JOB FOR A COWBOY have entered Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER) to begin recording an EP of all-new material. The as-yet-untitled effort will feature the first new music from the band since 2009's "Ruination" LP, which landed at position No. 42 on The Billboard 200 chart. A spring release via Metal Blade Records is expected.
"It felt like a long time since we last got together to write new material," commented JOB FOR A COWBOY vocalist Jonny Davy.
"After collaborating in the snow of Boston, we're now recording our second EP.

Former CARNIVORE, WHIPLASH Members Join Forces In BROOKLYN MILITIA
 Former members of CARNIVORE and WHIPLASH have joined forces in a new "aggressive thrash metal/punk/hardcore" band called BROOKLYN MILITIA. The group is currently working on material for its first CD entitled "Proliferation Day".
A song called "G.F.Y." — featuring drummer Joe Cangelosi on vocals — can be streamed using the ReverbNation TuneWidget below.
BROOKLYN MILITIA is currently working with several candidates with a view towards filling the vocalist position in the group.
Cangelosi and Bento will be interviewed by DJ Jet of Metal Messiah Radio on Tuesday, February 15 at 9 p.m. EST on "The Metal Magdalene With Jet".

VELVET REVOLVER Bassist Evasive About STONE SOUR Singer Rumors
 The Pulse Of Radio reports: With rumors swirling that STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor could be adding VELVET REVOLVER to the list of bands he sings for, that group's bassist, Duff McKagan, added fuel to the fire in a chat he did on Wednesday (February 9) at ESPN.com. Asked by a fan what the most important attribute is that a lead singer should have besides a great voice, McKagan responded, "Any good artist has to have . . . the ability to tap the dark stuff and have it be real. Great lead singers have the ability to tap that. No inhibitions helps as well. Axl (Rose) and Scott (Weiland) are two of the best front men ever. Corey Taylor is one of those guys as well. He can tap it."
When asked about the rumors that Taylor was going to join VELVET REVOLVER, McKagan wrote, "I can neither confirm nor deny . . . He is a bad dude though. I like him as a human being and a singer. He's the voice of a whole new generation."
Taylor himself "neither confirmed nor denied" the rumors in an interview with Billboard.com last month, merely laughing and saying, "To be continued!" when asked about it.
The singer, whose band SLIPKNOT lost bassist Paul Gray to a drug overdose last May, told The Pulse Of Radio that he's got a different outlook and a wide range of options on the table this year. "2010 was a weird year," he said. "A lot of weird things happened. And it kind of shook up my perspective. You know, I really decided that I was gonna take a positive outlook on everything. I've really kind of dedicated myself to pursuing things that to me are very positive. And, you know, I've got a host of different things that are kind of on the horizon, and I'm in a really good spot right now."
Taylor has been touring with STONE SOUR since last summer behind the band's "Audio Secrecy" album. He has been publicly ambivalent about continuing with SLIPKNOT in the wake of Gray's death, although he will join the band for some festival gigs this summer.
VELVET REVOLVER has been without a singer since firing Scott Weiland in April 2008. McKagan, guitarist Slash and drummer Matt Sorum have all hinted in recent months that the band was finally close to settling on a new frontman.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE To Perform Entire First Album On Upcoming Tour
 QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE has confirmed via its Facebook page that it will embark on a run of club shows during which it will perform its critically-lauded 1998 self-titled debut in its entirety along with some B-sides and rarities. The exact cities and dates will be announced on Monday, February 14.
"Queens Of The Stone Age" will be reissued on March 1 via Joshua Homme's own Rekords Rekords. The effort will be made available as a special bundled package featuring the album both as a 180-gram, double-gatefold, double LP and a digital download card. The reissue has been fully remastered from the original tapes and has been expanded by three tracks: "The Bronze" and "These Aren't The Droids You're Looking For" — from the 1998 split EP — and "Spiders And Vinegaroons", which was part of the posthumous KYUSS/QOTSA split EP.

GOD DETHRONED To Disband
 Vocalist/guitarist Henri Sattler of Dutch death metallers GOD DETHRONED have issued the following update:
"2011 is GOD DETHRONED's final year in existence.
"We could have spent another year in a tour bus because the amount of offers was endless, but I just don't feel like touring anymore.
"People told me to take a break for a year or maybe two, but as I'm an 'all-or-nothing-at-all' type of person, I decided to call it quits.
"Not immediately, but in December of this year we will definitely play our last show. That's gonna be at the Eindhoven Metal Meeting in Holland.
"I'm very proud of what we achieved with the band, but the time has come for new challenges.
"I would like to thank all of our fans for their support for all these years."
