CINDERELLA Guitarist Jeff LaBar - "When We Tour, We Are Essentially A Nostalgia Act"
Q: Realistically speaking, will there ever be an all new Cinderella record? There's certainly a demand for it...
Jeff: “The last time we had a label behind us was back in 2000 and those are the demos that turned into Tom's solo record. I don't know. Record labels these days... I don't think anybody is signing. We could make a record ourselves and present it to a label, but it's probably not going to happen. We could do all kinds of records on our own. I would love to record as a band...as Cinderella again. I would image that some record labels would dig it and come try to sign us, but I just don't know. That's a very tough question. I don't know how that would work.”
Q: As the nostalgia for the '80's continues unabated, will we see Cinderella touring on a more frequent basis?
Jeff: “The problem is when we tour, we are essentially a nostalgia act. In reality, it's the older people that love the old records that come out. I've seen REO Speedwagon, Journey and all of them in concert and it's always the older people that come out and want to hear the old hits. Unfortunately, we are kind of in the same boat, but at the same time, there are several bands from our genre like Poison, Ratt, Warrant and Winger that still put out records. But how many people actually buy them? That's the problem. Who's actually going to buy them? That's the rub. We would absolutely love to put out a new record and get lumped in with all of the other '80s bands out there that still record and put out records that nobody really buys. I know it's terrible, but it's true, ain't it?”

LaBar recently joined Izzy Presley on Another FN’ Podcast to talk about his new record, One For The Road, which is available now via iTunes, Amazon, Rat Pak Records records, and Best Buy.
While talking about the record, LaBar tells stories about he and former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach ended up rooming together at the Moscow Music Peace Festival because then Skids drummer, Rob Affuso booted Bach from their room.
He also talked about how Tom Keifer gave him a 1959 Sunburst Les Paul, the horrible deal that was offered to Cinderella by Gene Simmons before they were signed which basically said that Gene would get all of the publishing, own everything, and all songs would be written or co-written by Simmons.
Jeff then went on to reveal the story of how he was pulled over by the police in the 90's on his way to visit his son, who was about 3 at the time, while smoking crack and carrying a couple bundles of heroin.
“The less Cinderella worked, the more heroin I did, and the more heroin I did, the more crack I smoked.”
After a court ordered stint in rehab, he was clean.
LaBar had been clean for years until his hip replacement surgery in 2011, when his doctors gave him pain killers…and more pain killers. Whenever he asked for more, they gave them to him. He did a stint in rehab and has been off them since. He called doctors and pain managers “legal drug dealers.”
When asked if that is why he was able to get out and play 10 days after the surgery, LaBar replied “Absolutely. I couldn’t walk but I could play guitar.”

Я бы тоже не отказался, услышать новый альбом с их фирменными блюзовыми нотками. Они и скид роу - одни из немногих действительно талантливых глэммеров.
Скид роу первые два альбома все таки глэм, просто поумнее, чем мотли крю или пойзон
