LAMB OF GOD Shares Music Video For 'Ditch'

LAMB OF GOD has shared the official music video for the song "Ditch". The track is taken from the band's new album, "Omens", which is being released today (Friday, October 7). The LP is the follow-up to LAMB OF GOD's self-titled album, which arrived in June 2020. That effort marked LAMB OF GOD's first recordings with drummer Art Cruz, who joined the band in July 2019 as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.

LAMB OF GOD will take part in an exclusive "Omens" in-store band signing at Amoeba in Hollywood, California on Thursday, October 13 starting at 4 p.m. To attend, purchase your copy of "Omens" on CD (deluxe limited edition exclusive softpak CD with alternate cover art and documentary access code) or LP in-store beginning October 7. A free poster will come with purchase — one per customer/while they last.

For more information, go to this location.

LAMB OF GOD recently announced "The Making Of: Omens", a short film documenting the recording of their upcoming album. The documentary is available to watch on-demand throughout the month of October at watch.lamb-of-god.com. All physical CD and vinyl copies of "Omens" include a free access code to watch the documentary. The documentary includes four full-song performances recorded in the live room at Henson Studios: "Nevermore", "Omens", "Vanishing" and "Gomorrah".

Speaking to the WSOU 89.5 FM radio station about LAMB OF GOD's decision to document the making of "Omens", guitarist Mark Morton said: "It started, really, because we knew the way we were gonna record it — we knew we were gonna be all together [in the studio recording at the same time]. I don't know if the average music listener pays attention to that kind of thing, but it's not really a very common way to make a record these days. To be all playing at the same time and recording every piece of it at the same time and saving parts of each performance, that's the way things used to be done, but very rarely are they done like that. So I think we felt internally it would be cool to document that process, knowing we were gonna be doing it that way. And also there's just a history of behind-the-scenes documentary within LAMB OF GOD, just historically. Back in 2000s, DVD days, we were really open with having cameras around and filming ourselves for better or worse and kind of letting our fans see what it's like every step of the way, really — sometimes to a fault. And I think that access is really early in what kind of helped create such a bond between us and a lot of our fans is because they feel like they know us because they've been given so much access. So it had been some time since we'd done anything like that, but deciding to do so felt pretty natural."

In August, LAMB OF GOD bassist John Campbell told Germany's EMP that "Omens" is "a fairly dynamic record. There's a few other little surprises and tweaks and things to come in October," he said. "But we recorded it differently this time. We went to Los Angeles and all of us in the same room and same time recording, which gave us some leeway to make changes as things happened and just kind of feel it out in a different way than we've done in the past, which would be everybody kind of going in their corner recording and it gets assembled later. So it was a real team effort on this one, in the recording — all the way through it's been a team effort — and in the recording especially, when we were all in the same room doing that stuff, it was great. I got to spend three and a half weeks working on a record instead of four or five days — working on the recording of the record."

Also in August, Campbell was asked by Knotfest what led to the decision to record "Omens" live in the studio. John responded: "Well, we've been doing this so fucking long, we had to do something different. I believe that was Josh Wilbur's idea to do that. I know he had a great place worked out to do that in. And we had just kind of been doing it the same way over and over and over again, and we were looking to get a little more excitement into it and maybe see if that couldn't produce a different feel on the record."

LAMB OF GOD is supporting the new album with a massive Live Nation-produced U.S. headlining tour featuring special guests KILLSWITCH ENGAGE on all dates. Different legs are also seeing support from BARONESS, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, SPIRITBOX, ANIMALS AS LEADERS as well as SUICIDE SILENCE and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY. The tour kicked off September 9 in Brooklyn and will run through October 20.

CHARLOTTE WESSELS Releases New Single And Music Video "Venus Rising"

Dutch composer, producer, vocalist and songwriter, Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), presents her new and fourth single, “Venus Rising”, from her upcoming full-length, Tales From Six Feet Under Vol II, out tomorrow via Napalm Records.

Skillfully pushing genre boundaries, Wessels has put her heart and soul into this new offering, making her spirit tangible with every note and transforming this album into a flawless immersion of rock, pop, metal and beyond - all produced, performed and programmed in her own Six Feet Under studio.

Channeling her inner goddess, “Venus Rising” pulls audiences into the unique sonic Olympus of her musical sophistication. The captivating synth-flavored track combines rich musical styles - showcasing her unique approach and manifesting her own divinity with this song once more - honest, refined and truly limitless. “Venus Rising” is impressively underlined with an astonishing official music video.

Charlotte Wessels on “Venus Rising”: “'Venus Rising' was inspired by Botticelli's painting The Birth Of Venus. Even though she was modeled after the ideals of her time, I take comfort from the fact that she never had to cover up or uncover, be louder or more soft spoken, grow bigger or smaller, but just rises from the waves and comes into power unaffected by expectations, regulations and injustices that reign in the real world. We recorded the video for the song last week, and I couldn't stop thinking about the brave women of Iran, and how they're fighting for their most basic human rights at this very moment. It is heartbreaking and in my mind the song is dedicated to them. #MahsaAmini”

Pre-order the new album here.

Tales From Six Feet Under Vol II tracklisting:

"Venus Rising"
"Human To Ruin"
"The Phantom Touch"
"Against All Odds"
"A Million Lives"
"The Final Roadtrip"
"Good Dog"
"Toxic"
"I Forget"

MYSTIC CIRCLE Release Music Video For POSSESSED Cover "Death Metal"

German black/death metallers, Mystic Circle, have released a video for their cover of Possessed's "Death Metal", a CD digipak bonus track from their eponymous comeback album, out now via Atomic Fire Records.

Beelzebub comments, "Possessed have always been a huge influence for Mystic Circle: not only being the inventors of satanic death metal but also by delivering a scene defining masterpiece like Seven Churches, they are one of the top 3 bands of the genre that have to be honoured the most besides Venom and Deicide in our opinion. In addition, Peter König added great guest vocals to our interpretation. He's the singer of German act Gomorrha which also had an undeniable impact on us in our youthhood which makes the whole thing really come full circle for Mystic Circle."

Following the musical path where Infernal Satanic Verses - the final Mystic Circle record featuring both reunion members - had left off in 1999, Mystic Circle was produced by the band and Nils Lesser at Vaultroom Productions while its artwork was designed by Brazilian artist Rafael Tavares.

Order Mystic Circle in various formats here.

Mystic Circle tracklisting:

"Belial Is My Name"
"Seven Headed Dragon"
"Hell Demons Rising"
"Letters From The Devil"
"Darkness In Flames"
"The Arrival Of Baphomet"
"Curse Of The Wolf Demon"
"Satanic Mistress"
"Death Metal" (Possessed Cover) - CD digipak only bonus track

"Darkness In Flames" video:

"Letters From The Devil" video:

With seven studio albums and many tours alongside black metal heavyweights Marduk, Gorgoroth, and Dimmu Borgir under their belt, it wasn't just a little history that German black/death metal legends Mystic Circle left behind when they decided to call it quits in 2007. But alas, 14 years of silence are over as Mystic Circle - consisting of Beelzebub and A. Blackwar who had actually left the group in 1999 - have risen from their graves to renew their deal with the Dark Lord.

All-Star Metal Project ERANAËS Released “After The Rain” Single Feat. MARGARITA MONET & DEREK SHERINIAN; Music Video

“After The Rain”, the debut single from the new metal all-star project Eranaës, is out now via Dr. Music Records.

The Swiss vocalist Stephan Lipp (ex-Second Reign) kicked off his solo project at the beginning of the year to create extraordinary sound cosmos with top-class guest musicians, each bringing their character and playing style to the table. The musician has gained the support of Edge Of Paradise vocalist Margarita Monet and keyboard wizard Derek Sherinian (i. a. Dream Theater, Joe Bonamassa, Whitesnake). But the other members with Eluveitie drummer Alain Ackermann and guitarist Simon Burri (Rage Of Light, Vorax, Sinverse) are also quite impressive.

Producer Mack Schildknecht (China, The Three Sum, Fueled By Grace) was not only twisting the knobs but also contributing bass. Chris Beyerlein from Stem Masters (Schandmaul, Fiddler’s Green, Stahlmann) subsequently provided the finishing touches to the mastering with his tight, tidy and powerful, imposing sound.

With the single “After The Rain” (feat. Margarita Monet & Derek Sherinian) accompanied by a music video with subtle visuals, Eranaës have created a remarkable mix of melodic and progressive metal, bringing the serious topic of child abuse to the fore with profound lyrics.

The music video foreshadows the suffering of the young protagonists without making the two children in the video clip morally vulnerable, and it is not only poignantly staged from a content-related point of view but also visually.

Also, the single cover of “After The Rain” is not up to standard, showing a painting by Swiss artist Christophe Terraz, tackling the oppressive subject with his very own imagery. Despite the severe background, all players’ particular interaction makes this single a unique musical experience. Thanks to its strong catchiness, the song immediately gets stuck in the head and more than deserves massive attention from fans and media. The single, including a second version recorded only by Stephan Lipp and his Swiss musicians, is available now at all major online stores and streaming services.

Acclaimed since the 1980s, having won 5 Grammys, Chris Lord-Alge has worked with some of the world's greatest music legends such as James Brown, Prince, Joe Cocker, and Tina Turner, as well as legendary soundtracks such as Rocky IV and Batman.

Sound engineer Ted Jensen, renowned for his work at the renowned Sterling Sound studio, has mastered albums by the Eagles, Jean Michel Jarre, Santana, and Norah Jones, for which he received a Grammy in 2002. Create a concept, find the right partners, work to make it all cohesive and invest in the potential to pursue your goals. After all, they toured alongside great bands such as Saxon, Megadeth, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Europe, Hammerfall, Rhapsody, Fates Warning, Sabaton, Tarja, in addition to participating in the Motörboat, the cruise of the legendary Motörhead.

The first two albums, Power of Warrior (2016) and Barbarians in Black (2018), were produced by important professionals such as Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Jorn), Bruno Agra (We Are Harlot) and Kato Khandwala (The Pretty Reckless, Papa Roach). The third, Viking Zombie, was produced, mixed and mastered by Rodrigo Oliveira and Heros Trench, who is a veteran producer, with more than 200 bands under his belt and a Latin Grammy winner.

Presenting a sophisticated and versatile metal, the group collects great works in music videos, such as the super production “Sail Away” and “Beware of the Dragon”, shown in all movie theaters in Brazil during the trailers for the movie Aquaman. Besides them, “Ragnarok” and “Animal Uncaged” (recorded at the Rockfest Festival, at Allianz Parque, São Paulo, when they played to around 37,000 people) have millions of views on YouTube.

During the pandemic, they released the single “Stronger Together”, which was very well accepted by the fans. The fourth album in Armored Dawn's career is currently being produced by the band.

RUSH Shares Pro-Shot Video Of 'Working Man' Performance From TAYLOR HAWKINS Tribute Concert In Los Angeles

RUSH members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson teamed up with three of modern rock's top drummers Dave Grohl (NIRVANA),Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) and Danny Carey (TOOL),at last Tuesday night's (September 27) Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at in Los Angeles to perform three classic RUSH tracks.

After an introduction by Jack Black, the RUSH portion of the evening kicked off with "2112 Part I: Overture", the first movement of the 1976 prog-rock epic, with Grohl on drums and THE BIRD AND THE BEE's Greg Kurstin on keyboards. Grohl was then replaced by Smith behind the kit for a rendition of "Working Man". After that, Lee addressed the crowd, saying, "I'd just like to cast back to a moment in time, 2008, when we were contacted by the FOO FIGHTERS to see if we would go down to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and play Taylor Hawkins favorite song with him onstage. That was the beginning of quite a beautiful friendship. So in honor of that and in honor of our own lost brother, we'd like to bring out Danny Carey to play 'YYZ'."

Earlier today, RUSH's official social media channels shared professionally filmed video of the "Working Man" performance from the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in Los Angeles. The legendary Canadian rock band, whose drummer Neil Peart, passed away nearly three years ago after a battle with cancer, also included the following message: "For the first time since August 1st, 2015 we returned to the stage at the LA Forum, scene of the very last performance with our lost brother Neil. This time it was for the second Taylor Hawkins Tribute and sitting behind the throne were 3 wonderful human beings, who also happen to be spectacular drummers.. Dave Grohl, Chad Smith and Danny Carey…. Talk about being spoiled… but the best, yet bittersweet part of this whole deal is that no one would have loved witnessing that more Taylor himself. Rest In Peace Hawk, as we keep Alison, Shane, Annabelle and Everleigh Hawkins along with the entire Foos Family in our thoughts."

Lee and Lifeson previously played the same three tracks at the first Hawkins tribute concert on September 3 at London's Wembley Stadium. Grohl and Omar Hakim handled the drums for that performance.

This past April, Lee reflected on Hawkins's passing in an interview with "House Of Strombo", a free-form radio talk program hosted by Canadian television and radio personality George Stroumboulopoulos. Geddy said: "Heartbreaking — just heartbreaking. That really broke my heart, his passing. [He was] so full of file. I remember when he presented the [Rock And Roll] Hall Of Fame award to us in 2013 and we came up on stage, he was literally jumping up and down like a two-year-old — he was jumping up and down, he was so happy — and that was him. He was so full of admiration and rock and roll joy juice. And it just seems wrong that he left us."

Hawkins and FOO FIGHTERS leader Dave Grohl gave the speech for RUSH when the prog-rock legends were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and the FOO FIGHTERS duo then performed "2112" alongside RUSH during the Rock Hall ceremony.

After Stroumboulopoulos asked Lee what Hawkins said to him when he presented him with the Rock Hall award, Geddy said: "He just gave me a big hug. He just sent me an e-mail like a month ago — just checking in. That's what he would do; he would just check in."

When Hawkins's death was first announced in late March, Lee released a statement on social media in which he said: "We are so very shocked and saddened to hear the devastating news of the sudden passing of our musical brother Taylor Hawkins. He was such an incredibly positive source of music, energy and love, and a true artist to his very core…there are simply no words to adequately express just how much he will be missed by all — including Alex, myself and the entire RUSH family. Our hearts, love and sympathy go out to Taylor's family as well the Grohls, and the extended FOOs family…"

In a separate post on his personal Instagram account, Lee reflected on the time he and Lifeson joined the FOO FIGHTERS onstage during a concert in Toronto.

"My heart is truly breaking at the news of Taylor's passing. A sweetheart of a man that radiated good vibes, a love of music, and a total monster on the drums," Lee wrote. "He was so, so happy the night Alex and I came up onstage to play YYZ with him during the FOOs show at the Air Canada Centre on March 23rd, 2008… His excitement was almost impossible for him to contain. Brother, you left us way, way too soon… rest in peace my friend…"

When Peart died in January 2020, Hawkins said in a statement to Rolling Stone: "Neil Peart had the hands of God. End of story."

STEEL PANTHER Announces 'On The Prowl' Album; 'Never Too Late (To Get Some P***y Tonight)' Single To Arrive Tomorrow

California glam metal jokesters STEEL PANTHER will release their sixth album, "On The Prowl", on February 24, 2023. The official music video for the LP's first single, "Never Too Late (To Get Some Pussy Tonight)", will make its online debut tomorrow (Thursday, October 6) at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT.

Late last month, STEEL PANTHER singer Michael Starr spoke to the "Everblack" podcast about his relationship with the band's original bassist Lexxi Foxx who left the band in July 2021. "I just talked to him today," Michael said. "He's doing good, man. He did exactly what he wanted to do. He started a family. He's living in Chicago. Him and his wife just had a baby. So Lexxi Foxx is not gay. I thought he was gay this whole time. It's so weird."

Starr continued: "The party never stops. Just because he's not on tour doesn't mean he's fucking having a good time. And we miss him. I fucking miss him. And we still stay in touch and talk. We talk just about every other day — just stay in touch with one another. I mean, we were together for 27 years, 26 years, and we know each other's moms and dads and all of our cousins. We know everything about one another. So it's been really, really sad not having him in the band, but I understand why he's doing what he's doing. And he was one of the smart guys — he saved up all his money. Not me — I'm still living at my mom's. Let's go."

In September, STEEL PANTHER announced the addition of Spyder as the band's new bassist.

"Spyder has filled in for Lexxi many times," Starr told "Everblack". "He's a super-close friend of the band. We've known him for years. As a matter of fact, [STEEL PANTHER guitarist] Satchel and I were in a VAN HALEN tribute band for a while, and Spyder was the bass player in that. We have a rich history with him… He did all of Europe with us and he did a great job.

"First of all, I just wanna say this: Lexxi Foxxcannot be replaced," Michael added. "That's just the way it is. It's like trying to replace David Lee Roth, in my opinion. You can't fucking replace Lexxi Foxx. And also trying to find somebody that has the ability to make somebody laugh, do choreography moves from 40 years ago, jump around on stage and know what to wear. And not only that — most people think that STEEL PANTHER's music is super easy to play, and it's not. Satchel's an incredible writer, and the stuff he writes [is] not easy to play. So you've really gotta be able to play bass, you've gotta be able to sing, you've gotta be able to engage the audience, you've gotta be able to talk to 'em. There's a lot that goes into it… Seriously, it's really hard to find someone that has all those qualities and you can hang out with them. 'Cause you think about it — the show is an hour and a half. The other 22 and a half hours we're together either sleeping or hanging out, soundchecking or whatever. So it's a lot of time to spend together offstage. So you'd better be cool with him."

To coincide with the new bassist announcement, STEEL PANTHER announced a U.S. tour, "Claus & Paws Holiday Party". The eight-city trek will kick off in late November after the band wraps up its recently announced Canadian leg of the "Res-Erections" tour 2022.

Just four months ago, Starr and STEEL PANTHER drummer Stix Zadinia discussed their search for a permanent replacement for Foxx in an interview with RAMzine. Michael said: "We tried out over… We had how many video submissions… probably [over 700]. And we went through every single video. And we did some test runs with some people. And when we find the right guy, you guys will know."

Added Stix: "On this tour, we have our friend Spyder with us, who is a great friend and an even better bass player. He's not that great a friend. I'm kidding. He's awesome. We've known him since 1990. He's one of our homies and he's killing it. And we cannot wait to jam with him. But we are still searching for the permanent guy 'cause Spyder's got another gig; he's got a paper route that he works on."

Continued Michael: "We may never find another replacement for Lexxi. We love him. We miss him dearly. And I'm glad he's doing what he wants to do in life. But replacing him, it's like trying to replace Stix or me — it's impossible. So we may never, ever have a bass player. We might just be trying out bass players until I die."

Stix added: "And every time we get a new guy, we just say, 'Hey, come out. There's no money involved. So just try out.' We just keep doing it forever."

A year ago, Lexxi — whose real name is Travis Haley — told Rocking With Jam Man that he hadn't spoken with his former bandmates since his exit. "I still talk to the singer a little bit; I have in the past," he said. "But I think that those scars and I think that the departure, the way that it went down, I think there's some sore spots. But that's tough for me to talk about.

"That was something that I'm very proud of — to be that character for such a long period of time, and to play with those cats," he continued. "They're all amazing musicians. And I just think that it is different to not have that [in my life] — I'd been in character for so long — but I have to say it's a little refreshing as well."

When STEEL PANTHER first announced Lexxi's exit in July 2021, the band jokingly said that Foxx "started his side business, 'Sexy Lexxi's Prettiest Pets,' to bring in money for Botox during the lockdown." After realizing that "his love for making pets pretty was greater than his love for being pretty himself," he chose "to hang up his mirror and focus on his newfound passion: making ugly dogs pretty," the group wrote in a statement.

Back in December 2018, Lexxi sat out a STEEL PANTHER tour after being admitted to "sex rehab." The real reason for his absence was never officially disclosed.

During an appearance on an episode of the "2020'd" podcast, Satchel stated about Lexxi's departure: "We didn't want him to quit. Nobody wanted him to quit, including a lot of fans. I'm sure a lot of fans are very sad that he left. But he's the guy who left the band. I think he's got his own things he's dealing with, and he just wanted to go and do that. So, I don't know… I can't answer for Lexxi Foxx. But we will all miss Lexxi Foxx, and we all wish him the best in everything that he does. But we didn't fire him; he quit the band. So we're gonna have to move on and get somebody else who's younger and foxier and doesn't need as much Botox," referencing the drug doctors have been using for years to treat wrinkles and facial creases.

Formed in 2000, STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme.

The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."

Fourteen years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.

Haley, who was an original member of STEEL PANTHER, recently announced the formation of his new band HOLLYWOOD GODS N' MONSTERS with longtime friend and television celebrity from MTV's "Pimp My Ride", Diggity Dave.

SABU Feat. PAUL SABU, BARRY SPARKS To Release Banshee Album In December; "Kandi" Music Video Streaming

Frontiers Music Srl announces the signing of Sabu to the label and the subsequent release of a new album, Banshee, on December 9.

Sabu is the namesake of singer/guitarist/producer Paul Sabu, whose outstanding contributions to the genre over the past three decades have made him a legendary figure in the world of AOR. This will be the first Sabu album since 1998's Between The Light and the sixth Sabu album overall.

Banshee was created in collaboration with Barry Sparks (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker Group, UFO, Dokken, and Ted Nugent), who, along with Paul, provides all the instrumentation on the album, as well as background vocals. Fans who are familiar with Sabu's work will find that the sound and vibe of Banshee is in line with Paul's classic releases under the band moniker Only Child, so, needless to say, something for AOR aficionados to truly look forward to.

The first single and video, "Kandi", is out now. Watch the video below, and pre-order/save Banshee here.

Paul Sabu is a rock legend. For over 30 years he has done it all, from singer and songwriter to coveted guitarist, producer, and recording engineer. He has created smash hits, chart-topping albums, and an arsenal of top artists, and his numerous awards and accomplishments make him one of the most influential and best-selling artists in AOR history.

Sabu’s career is what dreams are made of. He got his break at only 22, when the young singer-songwriter auditioned and beat out hundreds of rock artists to become Motown Records’ official “Rock Dude”. He immediately got to work recording the classic self-titled Kidd Glove album, released to great anticipation and success in 1984 with the Motown-owned Morocco label. From there, history was made; he re-formed his own band, Sabu, in 1985 to release the outstanding Heartbreak album, which included the hit single “Angeline” and helped him realize his talent as a recording and mixing engineer. Producing his own music, Sabu soon created a new band, AOR gods and rock superstars Only Child, which found huge success with their 1988 self-titled album released through Capitol Records, and widely considered to be Sabu’s best and one of the top AOR albums of all time.

Only Child later reformed and took back the old name, Sabu. The new material was much heavier and rougher than Sabu’s past hits, evolving with musical sounds and finding new legions of fans with the self-titled album (1996) and Between the Light (1998). Along with Strange Messiah (2007) and Bangkok Rules (2012), these albums showcase big sounds, lots of depth, blistering guitars, and out-of-this-world vocals. Sabu’s music is easily recognizable and shows why he is considered an AOR god.

As he continued to work on his own music, Sabu also became a sought-after producer and engineer. Over the past quarter-century Sabu has worked with such artists as David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Little Caesar, Sheena Easton, Glass Tiger, Lee Aaron, Little America, Madonna, Malice, Motels, Robbie Neville, Only Child, Silent Rage, The Nelsons, Shania Twain, John Waite, Fatal Smile, and many more. To date these artists have earned Sabu 14 Platinum and 11 Gold Records as well as a permanent place in rock history.

Sabu has also worked on music for a number of movies and TV series, including Accused, American Drive-In, Assault Of The Killer Bimbos, Baywatch, Beverly Hill 90210, Diving In, Ghost Town, Goulies II, Hard Rock Zombies, Meatballs 4, Million Dollar Mystery, Sex And The City, To Die For, Trick Or Treat, Twin Sitters, Vice Versa, and many more. His credits extend to a huge variety of media and continue to reach new fans and masses.

Paul Sabu is considered one of the top AOR musicians of all time. Sabu continues to be sought after as a musician, producer and engineer and his reputation as an AOR god is permanently etched in rock history. So, get ready to rock again with Sabu on Banshee in 2022.

INGESTED Debut Music Video For "From Hollow Words" Feat. ABORTED's SVEN DE CALUWÉ

Ingested will release their new album, Ashes Lie Still, on November 4 via Metal Blade. Today, the band has shared the video for "From Hollow Words." Watch below.

"You ever know one of those pricks that constantly say they'll do things differently, or say they're sorry for fucking you about, but then they always just do the same things over and over again? Well, our new single is about those types of arseholes," says vocalist Jason Evans. "Allow us to present to you 'From Hollow Words," featuring our good friend Sven de Caluwé of death metal monsters Aborted. We've wanted to work with Sven for a very long time and we couldn't be happier to show you the result of Ingested and Aborted smashing heads!"

He continues, "This beast of a song is no-nonsense, heavy, aggressive, and is exactly what fans of both bands want to hear! The fast-paced, back and forth, call-and-response style delivery between myself and Sven keeps the energy up to max from start to finish and the blend of our styles compliment each other ferociously."

Regarding the visual, he states, "As always, Loki Films provides the visuals and has done a fantastic job. So what are you waiting for? Stream the song, watch the video, and blast it until your neighbors are banging on your front door!"

Sven de Caluwé weighed in, saying, “Beyond stoked to have taken part in the new Ingested record, I've known the guys for years now and we have toured together a few times; they're a machine that just hits like a wrecking ball — not the pop type of 'Wrecking Ball,' mind you. This new record will turn many heads, I'm sure, and is their heaviest-sounding to date. Check it out and remember what Jack Burton always says: It's all in the slams."

Ingested are the flagbearers of modern UK death metal. They have been churning out bilious anti-anthems for more than a decade-and-a-half, dropping a string of releases that have helped shape the genre. They return with Ashes Lie Still, their most dynamic, inventive, and daring release to date, holding nothing back. The band describes it as "a modern essential. It still has the core Ingested elements of groovy slamming riffs, quick drumming, and guttural vocals but there's also atmosphere, ethereal moments, and some raw old school aggression."

Over the course of 10 tracks, Ingested hack, slash, and steamroll through everything in their path, and Ashes Lie Still easily stands as the highpoint of an already impressive career.

Founded in 2006 in Manchester, England, Ingested have since toured extensively with Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Carnifex, and Revocation, and have been seen on European festival stages including Summer Breeze Open Air. Slimmed down to a three-piece, the band feels it is in the best place it ever has been, enabling the members to work at the top of their game.

Ashes Lie Still was co-produced by the band and previous collaborator Nico Beninato, with drummer Lyn Jeffs living close to Beninato's studio in Mallorca and recording his drums there, while Sean Hynes recorded his guitars at home in the UK with the producer assisting remotely. Vocal tracking was interrupted by Jason Evans falling seriously ill when finally making it to Mallorca and was ultimately tracked back in Manchester. Bass was again supplied by Dominic Grimard (Ion Dissonance/The Last Felony).

Ingested succinctly encapsulate their existence, saying, "We've always been the underdogs, always fighting for scraps. Well it's time to get out of the fucking way, because now it's our turn to eat at the table."

The album will come in several vinyl variants, all listed below:

* Clear with Black Smoke (US exclusive)
* Sunset Peach Marble (US exclusive)
* Violet purple marbled (EU exclusive ltd to 1000)
* Natural clear w/ white splatter (EU exclusive ltd to 250)

WEDNESDAY 13 Embodies Horror Punk Spirit With New Single "Good Day To Be A Bad Guy"; Music Video

The Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13, will finally drop his new album, Horrifier, this Friday, October 7, via Napalm Records.

Today, following addictive first single "You're So Hideous", and one of his heaviest outputs yet, the lauded "Insides Out", Wednesday 13 has revealed his latest concoction - surefire future fan-favorite "Good Day To Be A Bad Guy". The track aces the pure horror punk spirit of Murderdolls as a downright blissful tongue-in-cheek earworm that’ll seep into the listener’s head on repeat.

Wednesday 13 says about "Good Day To Be A Bad Guy": "'Good Day To Be a Bad Guy' is one of my favorite tracks off the new album. This track definitely has an earlier Wednesday 13 sound to it, with the horror punk hammer in full swing and excessive use of the “F” word. The video carries on with the horror movie theme with another tribute to one of my favorite films from the '80s, Halloween III: Season Of The Witch.”

Showcasing a blend of styles plucked from the band’s 20-year career, Horrifier weaves an underlying sonic thread reminiscent of Wednesday 13’s roots – a raucous blend of ballistic metal and macabre heavy rock that’ll have new and diehard fans alike ascending from the depths. As always, various tracks on the album are inspired by classic horror flicks, this time circling cult-favorite slasher John Carpenter’s Halloween and the iconic Christine supernatural thrillers.

Horrifier was produced and recorded by Wednesday 13 with mixing and mastering by Brent Clawson, and features stunning album artwork by Jonny Bush. A dynamic journey into the 20-year career-spanning sound of Wednesday 13, Horrifier revitalizes with something for every listener to latch onto – boasting intensely fun horror punk energy with gruesome metallic attitude.

Wednesday 13 offers about Horrifier: "The last three releases have seen the band explore new ground with heavier songs, drums, and vocals. Coming out of the Covid crisis, I promised I would not release a sad, depressing record. I wanted to make a fun, horror themed rock record that would be reminiscent of the first few Wednesday 13 records. The new album is a fun, fast-paced, thriller."

Horrifier will be released on October 7th via Napalm Records in the following formats:

- 1CD Digisleeve
- 1LP Gatefold Black
- 1CD Digisleeve + Shirt - Napalm RoW Mailorder Only
- 1LP Gatefold Splatter Red/White/Black w/ Ouija Board incl. Planchette - Napalm Mailorder Only, limited to 500 worldwide

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA - Pro-Shot Video Of "Divinyls" Performance At Bloodstock 2022 Streaming

The Night Flight Orchestra, featuring Soilwork vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid, performed at Bloodstock Open Air 2022 on August 14th. The festival has shared pro-shot video of the band performing their song "Divinyls". Check it out below.

Guitarist David Andersson, of Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra, passed away on September 14th at 47 years of age. Strid paid tribute to Andersson with the following mesage:

"Good night dear Dr Andersson. Really hope you can rest now. Together we created magic until that dark hole couldn’t be filled anymore. The alcohol and your mental illness took you away from us. It hurt so much to witness it. So glad I got to see you one last time at the hospital and have one last hour of classics and listen to some old hits from the past, before you fell asleep. I kissed your forehead and said 'See you on the river side' like my grandmother used to say. My grandmother, whom you invited on New Year's Eve probably 10 years ago, when you flamed beets in Gammeldansk. Will do my utmost to carry on our common musical legacy. Thank you for everything you taught me and the unforgettable travels we made together. Taxi trip to Palm Springs. A staircase in St Petersburg. A bridge in New Jersey. We tuned all that and much, much more. Thank you."

BraveWords offer our condolences to Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra, and David's family, friends and fans. RIP.

Exclusive: OSYRON Premieres “The Deafening” Music Video Feat. STU BLOCK

Today, coming directly off the heels of their YYC Award win for "Metal Recording Of The Year" (Kingsbane Deluxe), Calgary's own Osyron deliver a serious punch to the gut with new music video for "The Deafening". Complete with an epic vocal battle between Stu Block (Annihilator, Into Eternity) and vocalist Reed Alton, stunning camera work and a monstrous track featuring Polish band Percival Schuttenbach (The Witcher), the music video is premiering now on BraveWords! It was directed and edited by Seth Williams of Flip City Films and filmed at Rocky Mountain Film Studios in Calgary, Alberta. The smack you silly metal behemoth is off of the group's upcoming album, Momentous, out November 4. The single will be available on digital services providers tomorrow, October 5. Preorder the album at this location.

"Seth did an amazing job of capturing the theme of the song visually. The camera work enhances the volatile and hostile nature of what is happening lyrically. We are beyond stoked on how the video turned out. Special thanks to Stu for making the trip out to Calgary to work with us on this," explains the band.

Coming at you with intricate layers, "The Deafening" begins eerie and medieval, almost as if it were the soundtrack to Uhtred of Bebbanburg laying siege to Mercia. This section was masterfully recorded by Percival Schuttenbach, who wrote music for The Witcher games. Once the intro lifts, the full band kicks in loud and heavy, bringing the viewer on a journey. An epic battle ensues reminiscent of Geralt of Rivia battling The Striga in season one of the Netflix series. This represents the tug and pull of one's own consciousness. Once the chorus hits with awesome and dynamic technical work, the video progresses into chaos channelling the power and ferocity of Yennefer of Vengerberg.

This November the band is headed out on tour in Western Canada in support of the album release.

November
4 – Calgary, AB – Dickens
5 – Edmonton, AB – Rendezvous
17 – Banff, AB – Melissa’s
18 – Lethbridge, AB – The Place
19 – Cranbrook, AB – The Cranbrook Hotel Pub
26 – Winnipeg, MB – Bull Dog Event Centre

Mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Dream Theater, Voivod, Armored Saint), the album is nothing short of a musical masterpiece. It boasts the group's technical prowess, fantastical storytelling and outstanding vocal performances that metal fans everywhere have come to know and love from Osyron. Sure to leave listeners in awe, it deals with the many emotions, trials, personal battles, losses and victories that humanity faced during the pandemic. The biggest struggle faced by the band during this time was the struggle of looking inwards at themselves. Many had to relearn to love one another, and even turned against each other. A truly momentous moment in their career, not only for them as people, but for everyone. The album was mixed by Tyler Corbett (bassist). Drums were recorded by Josh Rob Gwilliam at OCL Studios in Chestermere, Alberta. All other instruments were recorded by Cody Anstey (drums) at his studio CRM Sound.
