Video: APPICE, SARZO, GOLDY, FREEMAN Perform Rock Classics With Temecula Valley Symphony

Video: APPICE, SARZO, GOLDY, FREEMAN Perform Rock Classics With Temecula Valley Symphony

Veteran rock musicians Vinny Appice, Rudy Sarzo, Craig Goldy and Andrew Freeman, along with the Temecula Valley Symphony, performed rock's greatest hits by LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO, THE BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, MOODY BLUES, RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, and more at a one-of-a-kind concert event on Saturday, June 18 on the steps of the Temecula Civic Center in Temecula, California. Thomas Kociela conducted the concert.

Video footage of the performance can be seen below.

This free event was produced by the City Of Temecula under the coordination of Gail Zigler, senior coordinator of arts, culture and events. This production was conceived by music director Joey Wester and created with the help of Alana Joos, orchestra manager for the Temecula Valley Symphony. Together these three organizations brought this epic event to the steps of Temecula's City Hall.

Individually, each of the rock stars has performed with several legendary rock bands worldwide:

Legendary rock drummer Vinny Appice's history includes BLACK SABBATH, DIO, HEAVEN & HELL, Rick Derringer and John Lennon. In April 2014, along with former members of DIO (Vivian Campbell and Jimmy Bain), Vinny began recording tracks for his new band LAST IN LINE along with Andrew Freeman on vocals. Currently, Vinny is on tour with LAST IN LINE, RESURRECTION KINGS, and "Drum Wars", in which he is joined by his brother Carmine Appice.

Rudy Sarzo is a hard rock/heavy metal bassist who has recorded and toured with many well-known heavy metal and hard rock bands, including QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE, and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT. Rudy is also a member of a supergroup called PROJECT ROCK featuring members of JUDAS PRIEST, GUNS N'ROSES, ALICE COOPER, AC/DC, SCORPIONS, and more.

Heavy metal guitarist Craig Goldy has recorded and toured with ROUGH CUTT, GIUFFRIA, PROJECT DRIVER, and DIO. This year, Craig's new band RESURRECTION KINGS released its debut album and Craig will be touring with them as well as with DIO DISCIPLES and BLACK KNIGHTS RISING. In 2015, Craig toured with the XG Extreme Guitar Tour lineup alongside Uli Jon Roth and Vinnie Moore.

Andrew Freeman is the lead singer of LAST IN LINE with former original members of DIO. In early 2014, Freeman joined the critically acclaimed production show "Raiding The Rock Vault" at the Las Vegas Hotel, where he performs five shows a week on vocals, guitar and bass with other musicians such as Robin McAuley (SURVIVOR, MSG), Howard Leese (BAD COMPANY, HEART), Paul Shortino (QUIET RIOT) and Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE). Freeman has also performed on three tours as lead vocalist for guitarist George Lynch's LYNCH MOB and as a guitarist/back-up vocalist for THE OFFSPRING.

Watch TARJA TURUNEN Perform With WITHIN TEMPTATION At France

Watch TARJA TURUNEN Perform With WITHIN TEMPTATION At France's HELLFEST

Former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen joined Dutch symphonic rockers WITHIN TEMPTATION on stage on June 18 at Hellfest in Clisson, France to perform the song "Paradise (What About Us?)". Fan-filmed video footage of her appearance can be seen below.

The studio version of "Paradise (What About Us?)" — also featuring Tarja — can be found on WITHIN TEMPTATION's sixth studio album, "Hydra", which came out in January 2014.

WITHIN TEMPTATION frontwoman Sharon Den Adel previously stated about the band's collaboration with Turunen: "When we had written the first version of 'Paradise' and listened back to the demo we'd recorded and the epic power of the song, we thought of Tarja instantly. How well this track would fit her classical voice and how extra special it would be if we sang it together. The more we thought about this wild idea, the more excited we got about it!"

Following several video trailers teasing the track, fans speculated on the band's Facebook page who the duet would be with, some guessing it couldn't possibly be a "competing" artist like Tarja. However, the two singers had no hesitation joining forces, having never thought of themselves as competitors. Sharon continued: "Of course I didn't know what to expect from Tarja, as we'd never actually met in person 'till June [of 2013]. Our first encounter was via a Skype call we'd set-up to discuss the collaboration and we immediately clicked, not only creatively but personally. After we'd spoken, it felt completely natural that we would do this together!"

Tarja added: "It was very nice to finally meet Sharon and the WITHIN TEMPTATION guys. I truly appreciate the invitation and the opportunity to work with them on their song 'Paradise'. So wonderful that they thought of me! I hope our fans will like this 'girl power' duet!"

The song and accompanying music video share a central theme; that only constructive cooperation can lead to creation. To establish a new paradise, rising from the ashes of the old, we must work together.

Video: ANTHRAX Performs In Pratteln, Switzerland

Video: ANTHRAX Performs In Pratteln, Switzerland

Fan-filmed video footage of ANTHRAX performing the song "You Gotta Believe" on June 18 at Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland can be seen below.

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian recently shot down rumors that "For All Kings" would be the band's final album despite drummer Charlie Benante's suggestion to the contrary.

Ian's comments came only hours after Benante gave an interview to EonMusic in which he said the "inspiration" to make another LP "may not be there."

Benante said: "I don't even know if there will be another record. This may be our last record. I'd rather go out on a high."

But Ian said via Twitter: "Don't let clickbait headlines fool you. There will be more ANTHRAX records."

In a 2015 interview with Overdrive, Ian said that the writing process for "For All Kings" didn't start until 2012. He explained: "We were out on the road in America on the [Rockstar Energy Drink] Mayhem tour and then back [in Europe] with MOTÖRHEAD near the end of that year. Charlie stayed home from that tour, because that's when his hand really started to become a problem, so that whole time he was home, he was working on the new material. Then in early 2013, when Frank [Bello, bass], Charlie and I got together in the jam room in my house, that's when the official writing really started for this new album."

Benante told The Aquarian Weekly that he was motivated to conjure a vintage ANTHRAX vibe during the early stages of writing "For All Kings".

"The first three or four songs I had for this record were flat-out thrash, a throwback to the old days, and they needed to be written," Benante explained. "I became possessed by my guitar. It was like my guitar was making me write these songs."

After penning the first few speed-laden tunes, the band chose to get adventurous.

"We wanted to explore different types of songs, and have this musical landscape that takes you somewhere from start to finish," Benante said.

"For All Kings" sold 34,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart. It was ANTHRAX's first studio album since 2011's "Worship Music" (No. 12 peak with 28,000 sold in its first week) and followed the 2013 covers set "Anthems" (No. 52; 8,000 sold in its debut frame).

Video: LITA FORD Performs At SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL

Video: LITA FORD Performs At SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL

Fan-filmed video footage of Lita Ford's June 10 performance at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden can be seen below.

Lita Ford released a new album, "Time Capsule", on April 15 via SPV/Steamhammer. The very special and unusual recording turns back the clock to a time when honest, down-to-earth rock music was still handmade and recorded without digital tricks and contraptions.

"Time Capsule" is a "throwback" record that boasts identifiable voices and brilliant players jamming without any planning or pressure. Some of the album's highlights: Billy Sheehan (bass), Rodger Carter (drums), Dave Navarro (mandolin), Jeff Scott Soto (vocals), Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander (backing vocals) and Gene Simmons (bass).

Speaking to Guitar World magazine, Lita stated about how the idea for "Time Capsule" came about: "There were 15 analog tapes I had in the Caribbean house [where Lita lived while she was married to former NITRO singer Jim Gillette] that I had to go back and get during my divorce. I drug them though the Caribbean dirt and on to a boat and took them back to L.A. I remember we had to bake them because they were so old and had been in that air for so long. I was afraid to put them on the reel because I thought they would flake and fall apart. So we baked them and transferred them over to digital — and it worked!"

Asked what made "Time Capsule" so special, Lita said: "It has such a magical vibe to it. We didn't change one note on anything on this album. All we did was remix. It was so fun and when we originally recorded it, all of the musicians were in their prime: Billy Sheehan; Gene Simmons and Bruce Kulick; Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen of CHEAP TRICK; Dave Navarro is on mandolin; Rodger Carter's on drums. Even Jeff Scott Soto and I sing a duet together that's just awesome. The album is also a gift to the fans, because I know they miss the eighties. There are people who are too young and didn't get to live through the eighties, and then there are other people who really miss it. So there's a little piece of the eighties in this time capsule, and I'm bringing it back!"

"Time Capsule" contains ten songs plus an intro and is available as a digipak as well as an LP version and download. It's Ford's gift to fans who love the '80s, when thrilling vocal performances, raunchy riffs, and loud, growling guitars were as essential as oxygen. "Lita Ford - Living Like A Runaway: A Memoir" came out on February 23 via Dey Street Books (formerly It Books), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. In this 272-page hardcover book, which was originally expected in 2014, the former lead guitarist of THE RUNAWAYS opens up about the '70s and '80s music scene, and her extraordinary life and career.

STRYPER

STRYPER's MICHAEL SWEET: 'I Hate It When Bands Start Replacing Their Members'

In a brand new interview with The Swerve Magazine, STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet was asked how it has been working with the same guys in the band for most of the group's three-decade-plus-long career. He responded: "Well, I mean, I'll be honest. I'm not going to lie to anybody. It's not easy. We have our issues. There are four strong personalities in this band. I'm the most boisterous. I'm the guy that talks a lot and people hear from the most, but I think if you heard from the other three guys, you would know exactly what I'm talking about. Everybody has opinions, and we're not on the same page many times. We don't see eye to eye. We have our arguments and our times of frustrations with one another."

He continued: "We made a pact to stay together. When we decide that we shouldn't stay together, that's when STRYPER will end, because I don't want to continue on without Robert [Sweet, drums], or without Tim [Gaines, bass], or without Oz [Fox, guitar]. I think that it's important that the four of us stay together, or it's not STRYPER. At that point in time, if we're not getting along we need to call it quits, and not replace each other.

"I hate it when bands start replacing their band members. You know what? It degrades the band and the brand. It's not fair to fans.

"I understand in a situation where, let's say, somebody passes away, and the other three or four guys want to continue, and they had the blessing of that person. That's a different situation, but what I'm referring to is all the bickering. You've got four guys in the band, and they don't get along, so they all go off and do their own version of that band. I mean, I just think that's a joke, a complete joke."

STRYPER's latest album, "Fallen", entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 43 with first-week sales of just over 10,000 units — nearly all from pure album sales. The set follows the No. 35-peaking "No More Hell To Pay", which was released in 2013.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

"Fallen" was released on October 16, 2015 via Frontiers. The CD was tracked at SpiritHouse Recording Studios in Northampton, Massachusetts and includes a cover version of the BLACK SABBATH classic "After Forever".

MEAT LOAF Collapses On Stage In Edmonton, Condition Unknown; Video

MEAT LOAF Collapses On Stage In Edmonton, Condition Unknown; Video

After cancelling two concerts earlier this week due to ill health, legendary rock singer Meat Loaf collapsed on stage toward the end of his show in Edmonton on Thursday night (June 16th), reports 680 News.

Jeremy Westby with Webster Public Relations has issued the following update:

“Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada). He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal - additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well.

“He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery. Any concert postponements / rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time. Thank you for your support and understanding.”

A spokesman for Alberta Health Services would not provide any information on his condition, only confirming that a man had been taken to hospital.

One video of the performance at Edmonton’s Jubilee Auditorium showed the singer bending over, then knocking over his microphone stand and falling to the floor. Audience members said he had been singing his classic “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).”

Mikey McBryan, 33, an ice pilot from Yellowknife who had taken his mom to the show for her 70th birthday, said the singer had appeared to be struggling earlier in the performance. “It was him forgetting words, he wasn’t on cue, but it was forgivable,” said McBryan. “We’re all loving it and going crazy, and then it just took a turn for the worst.”

More than a few fans had noticed, with one tweeting Meat Loaf “did not look good 2nite. Was worried he wouldn’t last.”

“He sounded terrible from the start,” wrote another. “It was like he pushed through each song.”

Meat Loaf has said he suffers from asthma and from a medical condition that causes an irregular heartbeat.

BLAZE BAYLEY On IRON MAIDEN Concert Featuring All Three Singers:

BLAZE BAYLEY On IRON MAIDEN Concert Featuring All Three Singers: 'I've Been Into That Idea For Years'

Ex-IRON MAIDEN singer Blaze Bayley has once again expressed hope that a special MAIDEN concert could be staged where he would get to perform with the current lineup of the band alongside fellow former MAIDEN frontman Paul Di'Anno.

"I've been into that idea for absolutely years, because I just think it's so much fun for fans," Blaze said during an appearance on this week's "The Rock Show with Gully And Joe" (hear audio below). 'Cause people are asking about it. Because I've toured with Paul Di'Anno, and we've got on very well, and fans have really enjoyed that show, it's not much of a leap, really, to think, 'Well, I wonder if we could get all three of them together.' So it would be a lot of fun. I think it would be a one-off gig if anybody wanted to do it. But it's mainly down to the MAIDEN camp."

Blaze added that he would be seeing the members of MAIDEN at last weekend's Download festival. "And I'll suggest it to them then," he said.

Bayley previously said that an IRON MAIDEN gig featuring all three singers would be "so much fun" because it would "be really fan-orientated. You would have to know the whole spectrum of IRON MAIDEN; you can't be a fairweather fan. You'd have to know the whole spectrum of what IRON MAIDEN's history is to know the significance of Paul and of me and of Bruce. And I think it would be great to get the three of us together."

The 53-year-old Bayley, who was born in Birmingham, was the original frontman in WOLFSBANE, but left to join MAIDEN, with whom he recorded two studio albums — 1995's "The X Factor" 1998's and "Virtual XI" — before Dickinson returned to the group.

Bayley released his eighth solo album, "Infinite Entanglement", on March 1.

METALLICA

METALLICA's New Album Will Be 'Less Frenetic' And 'More Diverse' Than 'Death Magnetic', Says LARS ULRICH

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich spoke to Humanity magazine about the musical direction of the band's long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic", tentatively due in the fall. He said: "It definitely sounds like METALLICA. It's probably a little less frenetic than the last record. The last one [producer] Rick Rubin really encouraged us to for the first time be inspired by our past. It was the first time we sort of looked in the rearview mirror. This time around it's a little bit of a different thing. We're not working with Rick, we're working with the engineer from the last record, who's producing, Greg Fidelman. So there's some of the same production elements at play, but we're expanding a little bit on the sonics. It's probably a bit more of a diverse record than the last one. It's exciting, but I don't have quite the perspective yet."

Ulrich also addressed the gap between the new METALLICA album and "Death Magnetic", which is the longest in the band's history. Asked if that "hiatus" has given the group a different perspective about how they approached the new record, Ulrich said: "It's funny you say that because when I think of the last six or eight years, the word 'hiatus' is not that applicable in my view of it. METALLICA's busier than METALLICA's ever been. But we also have a different set of balances now in our lives, which is vital to keeping the band healthy. We prioritize our families and our kids. When we tour, we tour in two-week increments and we go home every two weeks. We found a new model for us, but we play probably two to three dozen gigs a year even in off years just to kind of keep the momentum going and keep ourselves connected and invested in the band."

He continued: "I think what's happened is our families and our domestic responsibilities are so important to us now, so we just have a new model. We're sort of constantly doing something but never to the point of the needle going in the red, but METALLICA really hasn't sort of shut down since around 2005, and it's a model that works for us. We never work at 110 percent to the point where we drive ourselves nuts, but are sort of constantly working at two-thirds, you know — when we make the record we're writing and we're recording, but we're doing it incrementally. There's always stuff going on. It's the way we like it. It keeps us engaged."

METALLICA worked on the new disc on and off over the past two years, in between other projects. The band has been recording at its headquarters in San Rafael, California.

METALLICA in 2014 released a new song, "Lords Of Summer - First Pass Version", on iTunes via Blackened Recordings. Ulrich told Rolling Stone that the track, which was first performed in March of that year at a concert in Bogota, Colombia, was "fairly representative of where our creative headspace is at right now."

JUDAS PRIEST

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD: 'We're Making Another Record Right Now'

On Thursday, June 16, JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford was interviewed by the KBAD 94.5 FM radio station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You can now watch the chat below.

Speaking about PRIEST's plans for the immediate future, Halford said: "More metal. We're making another record right now, which should be ready when it's ready. But this'll be our umpteenth record, hundreds of metal songs later. We have a tremendous treasure trail behind us that we cherish, and we wanna make sure that what we put in front of that is equally worthy. So we take a lot of time in making the best music that we can. But it's exciting to think that not too far from now, there'll be another PRIEST record on the horizon with some more shows."

Halford will perform with HAIRBALL at Badlands Motor Speedway at "The Hair Ball" on Friday, June 17. He will bring his larger-than-life voice and persona to the first rock concert to be held at the newly renovated Badlands Motor Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, all in support of a massive fundraiser for the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy.

In addition to Halford, "The Hair Ball" will feature several other superstar guests, including MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil.

HAIRBALL — billed as "A Bombastic Celebration of Arena Rock" — has firmly established its status as the top-drawing rock tribute show in the nation, featuring stunning recreations of rock's biggest superstars backed by world class musicians and enhanced by a massive stage show, huge pyrotechnics, video and special effects.

"This concert at Badlands Motor Speedway is going to be the biggest and best of everything that HAIRBALL is all about," claims HAIRBALL creator Mike "Chainsaw Caine" Findling. "We've been building up to this for 16 years, and to have the voice of JUDAS PRIEST, Rob Halford, join us for this event is a rock and roll dream come true."

Chuck Brennan, founder of the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy, echoes that enthusiasm. "We're in the business of making history in racing and entertainment," Brennan said. "Adding Rob Halford to this lineup makes this a truly historic occasion in every way. His support of the kids is incredible!"

JUDAS PRIEST's latest album, "Redeemer Of Souls", was released in July 2014. The follow-up to 2008's double-disc concept album "Nostradamus" was billed as a return to JUDAS PRIEST's heavy-metal roots.

JUDAS PRIEST's new CD, DVD and Blu-ray, "Battle Cry", was released on March 25 via Epic Records. Recorded live on August 1, 2015 at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival in front of an audience of 85,000, the set is available on a 15-track CD, with the entire show on Blu-ray and DVD (running over 94 minutes), as well as digital audio and video formats. The DVD and Blu-ray also contain three bonus tracks shot in Poland on December 10, 2015 at The Ergo Arena, Gdansk, Poland.

SOULFLY Guitarist MARC RIZZO Joins DEAD BY WEDNESDAY As Full Time Member

SOULFLY Guitarist MARC RIZZO Joins DEAD BY WEDNESDAY As Full Time Member

Connecticut metal band Dead By Wednesday, currently enjoying the success of their highly praised EMP Label group release The Darkest of Angels, is proud to announce the newest addition to their lineup. With the complexity of their newer sound, they have decided to add a second guitar player to their lineup, that player is none other than Marc Rizzo of Soulfly and Cavelera Conspiracy, and original songwriter / founding member of Ill Nino. A long-time friend and collaborator of DBW's drummer, Opus, Rizzo is featured on DOA track, "The Surgeon.” He will be writing and recording on their next album, and doing select tours and shows around his Soulfly schedule.

Marc and DBW are excited about this new venture. Marc has released the following statement:

“I am excited to announce that I will be joining one of my new favorite bands Dead by Wednesday! When I have time off from Soulfly, I will be playing shows and recording a new record with DBW!!! DBW newest record is one of the best records of this year, and I'm stoked to play live with these guys soon!!! Let's shred!!”

The band recently released the video for "Live Again (featuring Brian Fair of Shadows Fall):

The Darkest of Angels features 11 killer tracks with 11 heavyweight guest vocalists including, Brian Fair (Shadows Fall), AK (Flotsam and Jetsam), John Arch (Fates Warning), Rob Dukes (Generation Kill, ex-Exodus), Carley Coma (Candiria), Waylon Reavis (ex-Mushroomhead), Sean Danielson (Smile Empty Soul), Paul Stoddard (Diecast), Kris Keyes (formerly Gargauntua Soul), Antony Linesmen (Armageddon) and Ceschi Ramos (Fake Four, Inc.).The album was produced at Dexter's Lab by Nick Bellmore.

Prior to the recording of The Darkest Of Angels, the band parted ways with long-time singer Joe Morbidelli due to his ongoing battle with substance abuse. Despite the heartache and disappointment of his departure, the band continued to write, pouring their grief into their music. And instead of rushing into a replacement, the band decided to create an entire album featuring tracks sang, and co-written, with guest vocalists, friends from prominent metal bands, each of who has had an impact on their lives, professionally or personally, keeping each song to the themes of addiction and substance abuse, as an ode to their former singer and his struggle. The result is an eclectic and emotional concept album that showcases the raw talent of DBW's writing combined with the unique style of each guest vocalist.

After months of auditions, DBW finally found their replacement, 6'5 powerhouse Rob Roy, who makes his debut on emotional DOA standout track “The Surgeon”. Together with Joey Concepcion on guitar (who also plays in Armageddon with Arch Enemy's Chris Amott), Opus on drums (who also plays with Marc Rizzo of Soulfly) and Mike Modeste on bass, the band has morphed into an unstoppable international act. Throughout over a decade as a band, DBW have toured relentlessly, and along the way developed their own sound and style, creating a fierce loyal fan base along the way. And now with an undeniable new lineup, Dead By Wednesday is here to stay, a “Phoenix rising from the fire.”

EMP has made two tracks available for streaming from their Soundcloud page- “Darkest Of Angels (D.O.A.)” featuring John Arch of Fates Warning, and “The Surgeon” featuring Dead By Wednesday vocalist Rob Roy. You can stream them below.

Watch Second Trailer For OZZY And JACK OSBOURNE

Watch Second Trailer For OZZY And JACK OSBOURNE's HISTORY Series

A new trailer has been unveiled for "Ozzy & Jack's World Detour", the new show produced by the History channel starring Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack. The ten-episode series is set to kick off on July 27 at 10:00 p.m. and will feature the duo traveling the world together, exploring the history behind some of the planet's most storied sites, while checking out some lesser known locations along the way.

During the course of the hour-long, non-scripted series, father and son — self-proclaimed history nerds who have apparently waited years to take this trip — will visit locales like Mount Rushmore, Stonehenge, the Alamo, Roswell, the Jamestown Settlement and Sun Studios. They'll also stop at places like a missile silo, England's famed Bletchley Park and a private museum of working artillery tanks.

Ozzy admitted a while back that doing the show has helped fill some gaps in his own knowledge of history. "Anything past World War II, I'm clueless," he told The Pulse Of Radio. "I'm kind of up on World War II 'cause I was born a couple of years after. So I know quite a lot about World War II and Hitler and the Nazis and all that. But anything from before or after I don't know anything about. So we're going to Mount Rushmore, we're going to the abandoned silos where you guys, America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that. It's quite educational for me, actually."

Ozzy has not starred in a regularly scheduled TV series since the MTV reality show "The Osbournes" ended a four-season run in 2005. A variety show called "Osbournes Reloaded" ended after one episode on Fox in 2009.

Ozzy and BLACK SABBATH are currently in the midst of the European leg of the band's farewell "The End" tour.

He and wife/manager Sharon Osbourne separated last month over Ozzy's alleged affair with a celebrity hairstylist. Us Weekly reported that Ozzy told Sharon he will "go to any lengths necessary to repair the damage" caused by the alleged tryst.

BARB WIRE DOLLS To Release Desperate Album In July Via Motörhead Music / UDR

Barb Wire Dolls are one of the most vital new bands in music today, representing all that is inspiring and furious about rock and roll. The band intelligently weaves sub-genres of punk, grunge, and metal, producing an urgent sound that is truly unique. Hailing from an artist commune on the island of Crete, the band sold everything they owned and left crisis-ridden Greece in 2010 for Los Angeles, at the invite of legendary KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer. Upon their arrival in California, Barb Wire Dolls immediately sold out the world famous Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, boasting a live show that is second to none.

Electrifying rock of this magnitude did not go unnoticed by the elder statesman of the Sunset Strip, the incomparable, irreplaceable Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. After seeing Barb Wire Dolls live, Lemmy took an immediate interest in the band and placed them under his supportive wing.

Fast forward to today... on July 29th Barb Wire Dolls will release their Motörhead Music debut - their third full-length album, Desperate. Pre-orders will be available soon.

The ten song album contains gripping rock tracks, empowering anthems, and hard-edged thrashers, all performed with the classic punk rock energy the band has become internationally known for. As members of Motörhead Music, Barb Wire Dolls are represented by Lemmy's long-time manager Todd Singerman, Motörhead's booking agents, and parent label UDR/Warner Music Group. Desperate's release through Motörhead Music serves as an edgy, thrilling first chapter in the life of a label whose mission is to present the most fiery new bands in rock and roll.

Recorded at Sonic Ranch (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ministry, Gogol Bordello) and NRG (Motörhead, Foo Fighters, No Doubt) studios, Desperate was produced and mixed by Grammy award-winning producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil) and mastered by Grammy award-winning mastering engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana's Nevermind, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik, U2's Pop).

Fronted by the whip-smart vocal and fashion icon Isis Queen (named after the Greek Goddess herself), Barb Wire Dolls' dynamic musicianship is blasted forth by former pro surfer and skateboarder Pyn Doll on lead guitar, Krash Doll on drums, Iriel Blaque on bass and Remmington on rhythm guitar.

Since forming, the band has gone on to melt ears and hearts on 700 stages across 22 countries in just under five years - consistently selling out club dates in America, the UK and Europe. Desperate is being released in conjunction with the band's debut performance at Germany's Wacken Open Air, the largest metal festival in the world.

Barb Wire Dolls is:

Isis Queen (vocals)
Pyn Doll (lead guitar)
Krash Doll (drums)
Iriel Blaque (bass)
Remmington (rhythm guitar)

BITERS Premier “The City Ain’t The Same” Music Video

BITERS Premier “The City Ain’t The Same” Music Video

Biters have released a music video for their new single, "The City Ain't The Same". Watch the video below.

Frontman Tuk Smith comments: "Somewhere between the homeless people begging for change in front of million dollar condos and the rush of the post-modern ironic subculture movement lies the inspiration for this track   I've seen a lot of people come and go but I still play rock 'n' roll. Sometimes, even in my own city, I feel like a stranger in a strange land."

Filmed with director Video Rahim - who has worked with Biters on a number of music videos before, including the recent grindhouse-themed video for "1975" - the video for "The City Ain't The Same" offers a visual throwback to classic rock TV variety shows, showcasing the band's electrifying live energy.

"For the video I wanted to recapture the vibe of performances I saw on shows like The Old Grey Whistle Test," adds Tuk, "Like Marc Bolan playing on stage with guest musicians and it was just like a party.”

"The City Ain't The Same" was originally included as a bonus track on the iTunes version of the band's new album, Electric Blood, with the updated version of the single due to release on all major platforms next Friday, June 24th.

21 - Panama City, FL - Club La Vela

LEAVES

LEAVES' EYES Feat. New Singer ELINA SIIRALA: Video Footage Of ROCKFELS Festival Performance

Fan-filmed video footage of LEAVES' EYES' June 10 performance at the RockFels festival in Loreley, Germany can be seen below.

LEAVES' EYES made its live debut with new singer Elina Siirala on April 17 at the Hammersonic festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The remaining members of LEAVES' EYES and their former singer, Liv Kristine, have offered different accounts of the circumstances behind their split, with LEAVES' EYES claiming the decision to part ways was amicably made in January and Liv saying she was dismissed from the group on April 6.

LEAVES' EYES said: "We understand that many fans and friends are surprised and shocked about the change in our band. We all know Liv had an important role for the band in the past, and we understand people are sad as it was not an easy decision for every one involved. But since a lot of hateful and disrespectful comments are in the social media, we would like to take the opportunity to make some points very clear: LEAVES' EYES has always been a band, and not a project, nor a Liv Kristine solo project at all. We always worked as a team in LEAVES' EYES. In the last decade Tosso [guitarist Thorsten Bauer] and Alex [Krull, LEAVES' EYES' co-vocalist and Liv's husband] wrote the music for LEAVES' EYES and Liv took care of the lyrics.

"Liv's solo project is called 'Liv Kristine.' We supported Liv also in her solo career, writing music, recording and producing albums and doing management in the past.

"The decision to part ways with Liv was taken by all LEAVES' EYES members, including Liv. A mediator — a friend of Liv and Alex — was at the band meeting who can witness that the decision of parting ways was agreed by all members. Liv was happy to have the opportunity to plan changes in her future life and she does not have to go on tour so much anymore. The idea to go separate ways came up already in January. Elina was not part of this decision or process. It was also agreed to help Liv for her solo project 'Liv Kristine' and record her new demo songs and her further projects at the studio just like in the past."

Shortly after the LEAVES' EYES statement was posted, Liv took to her personal Facebook page to thank the fans and to say: "I was told a bit longer than a week ago that I am not preferred as the band's singer for further tours and recordings anymore. I asked for the situation concerning Indonesia and the soon-to-happen upcoming shows. The answer was 'no.' I asked if there's a replacement and I got no clear answer."

She added: "I can't believe this process happened behind my back, parallel to a huge disappointment in my private life.

"A few days later, there certainly was a replacement. I must say — that was 'quick'!

"I still see LEAVES' EYES as 'my baby' and I will miss playing these gigs, feeling the good vibes, sensing the real Norwegian Viking power with the audiences. Inside my heart I will always treasure LEAVES' EYES for all the good music, tunes, themes, concept and true Viking power. The melodies I used to sing will always stay alive in my ears."

An earbook tour edition of LEAVES' EYES' latest album, "King Of Kings", is being released in June, including a new version and video for the song "Edge Of Steel", featuring Elina. There will also be a U.S. edition of "King Of Kings" with the new version of "Edge Of Steel" as a bonus track.

Video: Reunited DEMOLITION HAMMER Performs In Brooklyn, New York

Video: Reunited DEMOLITION HAMMER Performs In Brooklyn, New York

Reunited cult New York thrash metal act DEMOLITION HAMMER played its second comeback concert last night (Friday, June 17) at St. Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York.

Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

As previously reported, DEMOLITION HAMMER will also play a the Metalitalia.com Festival on September 10 at the Live Music Club in Trezzo Sull’Adda (Milan), Italy and at the Netherlands Deathfest II in March 2017.

DEMOLITION HAMMER's 2016 lineup consists of original members Steve Reynolds (vocals, bass) and James Reilly (guitar) alongside longtime guitarist Derek Sykes and the group's latest addition, drummer Angel Cotte (EYES LIKE CYANIDE).

Sykes told BLABBERMOUTH.NET about DEMOLITION HAMMER's future plans: "We'll do some limited touring and festivals. We haven't discussed new music yet, but we'll see where all this goes."

DEMOLITION HAMMER was active between 1986 and 1994 and released three full-length albums — "Tortured Existence" (1990), "Epidemic Of Violence" (1992) and "Time Bomb" (1994) — all through Century Media.

A DEMOLITION HAMMER compilation, "Necrology: A Complete Anthology", was issued in 2008, also through Century Media. The set contained the band's entire three-album discography across two discs.

Shortly before the compilation's release, Sykes released a statement taking issue with "the allegations" included in the liner notes which suggested that the band "didn't have time to contribute" to the anthology. He explained: "In fact, DEMOLITION HAMMER was quite involved in the initial realization of the project. But ultimately, due to qualitative differences, we decided to let our past work with Century Media speak for itself."

In March 2015, Century Media reissued "Tortured Existence" and "Epidemic Of Violence" on vinyl.

RAMMSTEIN: Pro-Shot Footage Of

RAMMSTEIN: Pro-Shot Footage Of 'Ramm 4' Performance From PINKPOP Festival

Professionally filmed video footage of German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN performing on June 11 at the Pinkpop festival in Landgraaf, The Netherlands can be seen below.

RAMMSTEIN once again opened its show with a brand new song, presently only known as "Ramm 4". The track, which was also played at all previous stops on the band's current European festival run, contains lyrics that seem to be a combination of various titles of previous RAMMSTEIN songs.

RAMMSTEIN last year released a 21st-anniversary box set, a numbered, career-wide collection titled "XXI". The set included the band's six studio albums, produced by Jacob Hellner and remastered onto 180-gram heavyweight double vinyl by Svante Forsbäck, as well as a separate rarities double LP, "Raritäten", including a previously unreleased version of the track "Los".

RAMMSTEIN hasn't made a new CD since 2009's "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da".

The band's frontman Till Lindemann last year released a debut album with his side project LINDEMANN.

RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe's EMIGRATE project issued its sophomore album, "Silent So Long", in November 2014 via Spinefarm.

Canada’s NORILSK To Release The Idea Of North On Vinyl

Canada’s NORILSK To Release The Idea Of North On Vinyl

Named after Siberia’s northernmost city, home of a famous heavy metal smelting complex, Norilsk is a doom-death band from Gatineau/Ottawa, Canada. Characterized by slow and crushing riffs, death growls, and atmospheric arrangements, its music draws comparison with doom-death bands such as My Dying Bride, Morgion and Ablaze In Hatred, but it also has a heavy dose of sludge/post metal elements reminiscent of Isis and Morne.

After self-releasing an introductory EP in 2014, the band will see their first full length album, The Idea Of North, released on vinyl by War On Music Records and Sunmask Records in the fall of 2016. The Idea Of North has previously been released on CD by Hypnotic Dirge Records, and cassette by Dwyer Records.
Inspired by the multi-faceted Canadian experience of the North, and assembled into a cold yet dynamic sequence of eight individual songs, the album explores themes of darkness, isolation, identity, archaism and persistence - thus delivering a fresh perspective over the cliché Nordic imagery in metal in general.

Bassist/vocalist Nicolas Miquelon comments: “It is a real honour to be working with two of the most forward-thinking Canadian vinyl labels, who know their doom, and are strong advocates for the local scene.”

Updates to follow.

VIVIAN CAMPBELL Says DIO DISCIPLES Have

VIVIAN CAMPBELL Says DIO DISCIPLES Have 'Zero Credibility' As RONNIE JAMES DIO Tribute

Vivian Campbell says that DIO DISCIPLES have "zero credibility" as a Ronnie James Dio tribute project despite the fact that the band is fully supported by Ronnie's widow/manager, Wendy.

The current DEF LEPPARD guitarist, along with drummer Vinny Appice and bassist Jimmy Bain, was part of the original DIO lineup, which reunited in 2012 alongside singer Andrew Freeman to form LAST IN LINE.

When LAST IN LINE formed, the intent was to celebrate Ronnie James Dio's early work by reuniting the members of the original DIO lineup. After playing shows that featured a setlist composed exclusively of material from the first three DIO albums, the band decided to move forward and create new music in a similar vein.

Asked in a new interview with BigMusicGeek.com what separates LAST IN LINE from DIO DISCIPLES — which is made up of former members of DIO, along with a rotating lineup of singers, including former JUDAS PRIEST frontman Tim "Ripper" Owens — Vivian said: "I don't think we're even in the same league as the DIO DISCIPLES. None of those guys were original members of the band DIO. We're the original band. We're the guys who formed the band with Ronnie. Not only were in the band, but we wrote all the songs with Ronnie. If you look at the writing credits on the first three records, it was very, very much a collaborative creative venture. That's what made the early DIO records so strong. The guys in the DIO DISCIPLES... As far as I'm concerned, there is zero credibility with the DIO DISCIPLES."

According to Vivian, he didn't know about DIO DISCIPLES' existence until 2012, almost two years after the band first started playing shows as a tribute to Ronnie. "It was around the time that [LAST IN LINE] got together to jam that I had first heard of the DIO DISCIPLES," the guitarist said. "I wasn't even aware of them. It was actually Vinny who told me. I couldn't believe that these guys were going out and playing songs that we actually wrote with Ronnie. I thought, 'Well, if they're doing it, then why shouldn't we do it?' With us, there is a legitimacy to what were doing, ya know? I doubt that there is a real legitimacy in the DIO DISCIPLES."

LAST IN LINE takes its name from the second DIO album released in 1984. Appice, Bain and Campbell were Ronnie James Dio's co-conspirators and co-writers on the "Holy Diver", "The Last In Line" and "Sacred Heart" albums — the records that defined the classic early DIO sound and have gone on to become part of rock history.

In addition to Owens, Oni Logan (LYNCH MOB) and Joe Retta (SWEET, HEAVEN & EARTH) on vocals, DIO DISCIPLES features former DIO members Simon Wright on drums, Craig Goldy on guitar and Scott Warren on keyboards. They are joined by Bjorn Englen (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on bass.

DIO DISCIPLES is billed as a "celebration of the music and legacy of the greatest singer in the world, Ronnie James Dio." The band also notes that "we could NEVER replace Ronnie and that is NOT our intention. There will only ever be one Ronnie James Dio!"

During an April 2011 appearance on the "All Hail Hair" show on Fightin' Words Radio, Vinny Appice was asked what he thought of DIO DISCIPLES going out on the road and paying tribute to Ronnie James Dio. "I think it's disgusting," he said. "I mean, why are they even doing it? Plus, [Ronnie has] not even been passed away for a year. And, you know… It's kind of… I don't know. It's kind of weird, man. It's weird."

Vinny later had a change of heart and ended up playing a number of shows with DIO DISCIPLES, including in March of this year in Glendale, California.

In an interview with BackstageAxxess.com, Vinny stated about his involvement with DIO DISCIPLES: "Just because I said it was disgusting at one point, now it's all over Blabbermouth. 'To Vinny Appice, it's not disgusting anymore.' The problem was they did it a couple of months after Ronnie passed, and then I thought it was awful; it wasn't the right time. Now they can do whatever they want; it's cool. It was just that, at the moment, it didn't seem like the best time to do it."

Asked by "Totally Driven Radio" what Wendy Dio's reaction has been to LAST IN LINE, Vinny responded: "Well, she's not involved in this in any way, shape or form. I don't know… I haven't really talked to her and asked what she thought. So she's not involved in this. I don't really know what she thinks about it. She probably hates it. I don't know. But you know? We're out there pushing everything — pushing the old songs, then keeping everything alive too. So you can't knock that."

Campbell told Billboard that Wendy has nothing to do with, and no love for, LAST IN LINE. "Vinny still has occasional contact with her," Campbell said, "and when we first started doing this project, she said something along the lines of, 'Ronnie would be spinning in his grave.' So there you go."

PAREIDOLIA - BraveWords Premiering “Betrayed Within” Music Video

PAREIDOLIA - BraveWords Premiering “Betrayed Within” Music Video

If it's powerhouse prog rock that you're after, then the fast-rising Pareidolia is the band for you. Hailing from New York City and consisting of Chandler Mogel (vocals), Stephen Dadaian (guitars), Jon-Michael Caldwell (bass), and Ryan Bertone (drums), the band will be independently issuing their debut full-length, Denied Truths, on June 24th (available through Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby but also streaming services like Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music, Tidal, Rhapsody, iHeartRadio and others).

BraveWords is premiering the band’s new video for the album track “Betrayed Within”, which can be found below.

"This was an interesting experience because it represents the first time we all worked together for an extensive amount of time," explains Stephen (who also co-produced the album, along with Ethan Bill). "I wanted every track to have a special meaning on this album. While it’s not a concept album in the traditional sense, there are common themes that bind the tracks together. We touch on topics such as the trials and tribulations of man, overcoming our own faults, things we all face at one time or another in our lifetime. Trends come and go in music, but I feel music with substance and a meaningful message can never be swept to the side. We wanted the intensity and energy behind our message to match the music that was the vessel we were delivering it through."

And the sonic proof is in the quality of the tunes, especially in several of Stephen's favorite tracks. "“Quench The Fire” is a raw, aggressive, energetic track that is only fitting to start the album. “Betrayed Within” was a favourite, so much so that we decided this would be our single to shoot our first music video for. This tells the story of being betrayed by someone from within your inner circle, even a family member. “Redeemed” is one of the heavier tracks on the album with perhaps the most intense guitar solo as well. In a way, this song embodies our approach to this album. However, the palette spans a broad range and whether you enjoy the fusion breakdown in “A Part Of Me” or progressive solo sections in “Leave Me Alive”, there is plenty to listen to depending on your mood."

Pareidolia is fresh off a performance at the Guitar Gods Festival in Miami alongside such six-string legends as Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Chandler also recently lent his vocals to Angel guitarist Punky Meadows' recently released solo disc, Fallen Angel, while Stephen has won guitar competitions hosted by Slash, Jon Donais, Ernie Ball Music Man, Dean Guitars / Pantera, and has been featured in RollingStone.com and Guitar World magazine.

Lastly, what are Pareidolia's future plans? "While we have performed outside our immediate area such as at the Guitar Gods Festival, we will be working on performing in support of the release of this album. We plan to focus on continuing to establish our fan base in the NY-NJ area and hope to spread from there. We will be looking to book shows and perform with like-minded bands so fans can see these songs really come to life. We are also constantly writing and coming up with ideas. As we are performing we are also working on our next endeavour which will build on what we have already started with Denied Truths."

Denied Truths tracklisting:

“Quench The Fire”
“Leave Me Alive”
“Betrayed Within”
“Redeemed”
“Die Living”
“Lie To The Angels”
“All As One”
“Voices: I. Introduction”
“Voices II. Wasting Water”

SAHG To Release Memento Mori Album In September; Preview Video Streaming

SAHG To Release Memento Mori Album In September; Preview Video Streaming

Norwegian progressive classic metallers, Sahg, will release their new album, Memento Mori, on September 23rd via Indie Recordings. A preview video can be found below.

In a time when threats of religious hostility and environmental decay loom heavily over the world, we have no choice but to acknowledge the inevitability of death. Not only does it spread fear, stigma and hatred, but it also reminds us of the grasp our own mortality has on us. Death is just a heartbeat away and our fear of the unknown is apparent now more than ever. Thus the title Memento Mori (Latin: remember that you must die).

The heavy rock powerhouse Sahg have since their beginnings in 2004 delivered grade-A hard rock of the fist bumping and heavy-leaded sort. When elements hoisted from the depths of doom converge with the realm of progressive rock, one can draw parallels to greats such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Mastodon. Sahg procure a unique blend of the aforementioned while resting firmly on a heavy metal base. The crisp sound on their fifth and latest effort Memento Mori defies the idea of simple genre categorization in favour of delivering a damn good heavy metal album.

“Mortality closes in.
Evils of fanatic religion.
21st century imperialism.
Destruction campaign against the earth.
Immortal idols pass away.
Cancer in our minds.
In our way of life.
In the veins of those we honor the most.
It is in our darkest times we realize how swiftly life can end.
We all die.
Everything dies.
Memento Mori.”

STAIND Frontman AARON LEWIS To Release

STAIND Frontman AARON LEWIS To Release 'Sinner' Country Solo Album In September

Known for genuinely gritty lyrics and hard rock anthems, STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis is getting back to his country roots September 16 with his first album on Dot Records, titled "Sinner". Lewis comes out of the gate "with both fists flying" on the lead single "That Ain't Country" — available today — where he laments the current state of "country, if you call it that," and pines for the sound of his honky-tonk heroes. The Bocephus-styled musicality and Lewis's accessible vocals showcase the "pain, heartache and desperation," a bedrock of traditional country that is often missing from the airwaves today.

Pre-order for the physical album begins today at pledgemusic.com/aaronlewis while the digital version will be offered at retailers starting July 15 with select instant grat tracks available throughout the launch.

Produced by country legend Buddy Cannon (George Strait, Merle Haggard, George Jones), and recorded over 16 intense hours at Nashville's Blackbird Studios, "Sinner" captures Lewis's mindset, a laid back soundtrack that is reminiscent of the genre's most honest and musically adventurous artists.

"I'd like to think that 'Sinner' is a newer take on classic, traditional outlaw country, Waylon and Merle and Willie, and Hank Jr. and Johnny Cash and all that stuff," says Lewis. "That was the music I heard a kid, and that's the country music that permeated my soul and stuck with me my whole life."

While "Sinner" may surprise those unaware of Lewis's lyrical depth and vocal authority, hard-core fans of his concerts (which he describes as "a very healthy mix of cowboy hats, baseball caps, tattoos and black shirts") will rejoice in having definitive copies of songs they've been hearing live and on the Internet, some for a couple of years.

"Sinner" track listing:

01. Sinner (featuring Willie Nelson)02. That Ain't Country03. Whiskey And You04. Northern Redneck05. Mama06. Sunday Every Saturday Night07. Lost And Lonely08. Story Of My Life09. Stuck In These Shoes10. I Lost It All11. Travelin' Soldier

Lewis is currently previewing the new album for sold-out crowds at festivals and headline dates across the country, including a stop at CMA Music Fest in Nashville last week and LakeShake in Chicago on June 17.

With every ticket purchased for the "Sinner" tour beginning October 24, fans will receive one digital download of the full album when it is available on release date.
