Germany’s Lord Of The Lost have revealed their live cover version of “Ruins”, cut from their upcoming live album, Live At W:O:A, out August 2 via Napalm Records! The single is originally featured on their Napalm Records studio album debut, Thornstar (2018, #6 Official German Album Charts).
After two European tours with Iron Maiden, participation in the Eurovision Song Contest finals, a #1 charting album, and an almost completely sold out European tour, the band played their first ever mainstage performance at Wacken Open Air in 2023, when they closed the festival day as “deadliners” after Iron Maiden. The set was recorded and will be released as Live At W:O:A, which is “a dream come true”, as Chris Harms stated during the show.

BFnD, fronted by the charismatic Sammi DeVille, is the new outfit led by Jeff Westlake from Hydrogyn. Many familiar names from Westlake's past were brought in to charge this album with great players. Jeff Boggs, Ryan Stepp, John Cardilino, Todd Long, Jacob Freed, Patrick Liotard, Anthony Dura, Mickael Jublin, Joe Migz to newcomers like Kayla Watson along with Alex St.Clair, round out the people involved in the project. There is also an appearance from the late Chris Sammons on the album as well, to honor the great bass player and bandmate of Westlake's while in Hydrogyn.

"There are always things going through ones mind when you have been stricken by the creative bug. I am a musician that loves many different types of music and I never want to lock myself just into one style, so I don't.
Through the years I have been blessed with some amazing voices to help me get my passion across to you in many different styles. Now is no different than it has ever been.
I am proud to be able to bring this new phase to you. This phase will be different than any of the rest, as I have someone who wants to tell stories and be as edgy as possible in the process of telling them. I have wanted to take this avenue for years but just never had that accomplice to truly get the idea across. Now, not only did I get one, but I have blessed with two. We have used a couple different drummers in this process, but the band nucleus has been myself, Sammi DeVille, Alyx St.Clair and Ryan Stepp. This entire story will come out at some point no doubt but we just do not have the time here for it.

Regarding the video, Limitless vocalist / bassist Luis Kooper comments: "The video shows us the story of a person (who could be you or me) who is escaping from life, running away from reality, from those situations that mark and define us in the end. In that context, La Sombra (who is the villain of the video) represents precisely those situations. 'Last Train' is set in a time when people traveled by train, so we chose the El Melocotón Train Station (in Chile) as an ideal location. We were very pleased with the final result, it was a great effort made with a lot of love, despite the limited budget. Everything was recorded in one day."

MR. BIG has just released its tenth studio album, "Ten", via Frontiers Music Srl. The official visualizer for the LP's third single, "Right Outta Here", can be seen below.
"Ten" features 11 new original tracks written by singer Eric Martin and guitarist Paul Gilbert, along with André Pessis and Tony Fanucchi. In a tribute to their late drummer Pat Torpey, Martin, Gilbert and bassist Billy Sheehan have enlisted the exceptional talents of Nick D'Virgilio on drums for "Ten", which was produced by Jay Ruston and MR. BIG.
In the midst of their final tour — "The BIG Finish" — MR. BIG, inspired by the legions of fans that shared in their goodbye over the past year, wanted to say a final farewell with the undertaking of a brand-new studio album. Culminating over three decades of musical partnership, Martin, Gilbert and Sheehan, with the help of D'Virgilio, ignite their spark once more and take a new form with "Ten".
Martin comments on "Ten": "This new album doesn't copy anything from the nine previous studio records. It's all new stuff from scratch. This is raw, unadulterated riff rock and blues with all the MR. BIG trimmings."

MR. BIG recently completed the European leg of "The BIG Finish", which sees the veteran band performing MR. BIG's 1991 album, "Lean Into It", in full, along with other cuts from the group's history.
Regarding how the farewell tour has been going so far, Martin told Radioactive MikeZ, host of the 96.7 KCAL-FM program "Wired In The Empire": "It's been a bro love fest… Everybody loves each other. We're going out on top.
"I don't wanna tour like we're touring now," he explained. "I'm okay with it 'cause I've had a couple of weeks break to just chill out, rest the larynx, have a couple of beers and just hang out with my family. And I'm raring to go. We're going to South America, doing the West Coast USA, and I'm looking forward to it. But, man, this is a long-ass tour. It started last year in Asia. Then I did some solo things where I went to Japan, and then I came home and sang the 10 songs or 11 songs that are on the new studio album. But I don't wanna tour like this."
"He added: "We're touring all the way up to August 23rd, I think. And then right after that, I got other projects, but no more MR. BIG. No more MR. BIG touring-wise."
Regarding the possibility of MR. BIG still making new music after the completion of the farewell tour, Eric said: "Everybody was saying, 'Hey, we could still continue to make records.' I'm, like, 'Yeah, that would be fun.' Well, the record was hard to put together because of everybody's scheduling, but it came together pretty quickly. The thing that took the longest was the album cover. Nobody could agree on it. It was ridiculous. I mean, our creative juices were poured out long time ago for any kind of artwork. And Paul Gilbert is kind of a cartoon artist, and I asked him, I go, 'Just draw pictures of us in cartoon form and we'll give it a name.' We couldn't even think of a name. Anyway, that took the longest. So hopefully we'll do another record, but I don't know. The album cover thing was painful."
When MR. BIG announced "The BIG Finish" tour last year, the bandmembers said that it was "time to mark the end of this chapter of their legacy" after Torpey lost his battle with Parkinson's disease in 2018. The first leg kicked off in Japan and Southeast Asia in July and August 2023, where the band performed for hundreds of thousands of loyal fans at 11 sold-out shows including Budokan in Tokyo, Japan.
D'Virgilio will miss most of the final European leg of the band's "The BIG Finish" tour due to his commitments with his band BIG BIG TRAIN. He will be temporarily replaced on the trek by Edu Cominato, an experienced drummer from São Paulo, Brazil who has previously played with Sheehan and Martin, Jeff Scott Soto and Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE),among others.
As a session musician and touring artist, Nick has worked with many different kinds of artists and bands, from TEARS FOR FEARS, Sheryl Crow and Kevin Gilbert to Peter Gabriel and Eric Burdon and the ANIMALS. In 1996, Nick took Phil Collins's place in GENESIS and played on their "Calling All Stations" album. He has also carved out a major presence in the progressive rock world with his bands, SPOCK'S BEARD and BIG BIG TRAIN.
Before joining the Sweetwater team, Nick spent almost five years touring with Cirque Du Soleil's "Totem" as drummer, vocalist, and assistant bandleader.

Germany’s greatest export Scorpions have uploaded classic footage performing Animal Magnetism classic "The Zoo” from Rock In Rio 1985. “The Zoo” is the penultimate song on Animal Magnetism and was released as a single in August 1980, earning the most success in the U.K, peaking at #75.
1985 was the first edition of the Rock In Rio festival. It was held from January 11-20 and an estimated 1.4 million attended. Scorpions performed on two days of the festival – Tuesday, January 15 and Saturday, January 19.

What happens when rock, metal, hip hop, gaming, video and tech get together? Something "terRIFFic"!
DMC from Run DMC, Dan Lorenzo from Patriarchs In Black, Jon "JROD" Cioricari got together on a song produced by JROD and rapper/producer Bumpy Knuckles to create a terRIFFic song. The collaboration came together so powerfully something like this needed a unique way to share it with the world.
After brainstorming unsuccessfully for two weeks, the idea for the video came to Cioricari who walked in on his children watching other kids play video games on YouTube. Cioricari thought, "Why not put music to this if kids are already watching?". Searching YouTube, he found it hadn't been done before. Cioricari brought his vision to Malik at Good Game Lounge in West Nyack, NY and the end result is...."teRIFFic".
"Bump, Dan and JROD created a track that is like an adventure. It's an experience of Rock Riffs and Rhymes" DMC said. He continued. "I wanted to make a statement that rock isn’t dead… people that don’t know a damn thing about rock are the ones who are dead! Fun, good music is alive! I work with some of the best musicians and artists in rock and metal, so it’s my responsibility as The King Of Rock to speak up and do cool musical and artistic things."
The single is out on all digital platforms.
Patriarchs In Black's third album Visioning, will be out July 19th on MetalVille Records. The project utilizes Kelly and Lorenzo on bass and guitar, and then numerous singers and bassists including Karl Agell (COC Blind), Kyle Thomas (Exhorder), John "JD" DeServio (Black Label Society) among others.
Darryl "DMC" McDaniels (RUN/DMC) has joined former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly and Dan Lorenzo (Hades, Non-Fiction) on the new Patriarchs In Black single, "Welcome To Hell Again".
The song "Welcome To Hell Again" also features Kelly Abe who was on the TV show, Search For The Next Ozzfest Opener.
Regarding the lyrics DMC said, "I'm basically saying it’s a choice to live in hell! We sometimes create our own hell. Regardless of what’s going on, we can speak life or death and positivity or negativity. The spirit I spit is how I live my life. How I can carry myself. I’m basically telling the devil and evil to bring their best! I can handle whatever they bring at me! I love working with Patriarchs In Black because they’re great musicians and I love the content of their songs. A lot of emotional stuff I can relate to."
Lorenzo returned the favor by co-writing DMC's next solo single and video out soon, "teRIFFic". "It's amazing to me that not only am I writing with DMC, I actually get a shout out in the first verse of his next single. Mind blowing!" said Lorenzo.

The quintet from Fukuoka, Japan jetted out to Gothenburg, Sweden to record their sixth studio album with the legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Bring me the Horizon) at Studio Fredman.

Silent Theory have released "Made Me This Way", the fourth single from their upcoming album, Tell Us How It Ends.
The band's Dakota Elliot Tyler says, "'Made Me This Way' is a song about being constantly beat down and changing because of it. Pieces have been stripped away and new ones take their place, until you’ve become something new."
Modern metal band, Enemy Inside, recently partnered with Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), and their collaboration is off to a promising start with the release of a new single today.
The debut track, "What We Used To Be", takes listeners on a journey through a painful past with its synth-based vocal intro, urging them to let go of bad memories through heavy riffs and a haunting chorus. The accompanying music video, featuring vocalist Nastassja Giulia in an exorcism of toxic experiences, reinforces the song's powerful message.
"'What We Used To Be' deals with the topic of a relationship growing apart: whether it's a romantic relationship, a friendship, or the relationship with yourself. It's about realising and accepting that situations and people, even yourself, change, and there is no other way than to move on," underlines Nastassja.
Filmed by Jonas Sommer, the music video's script and story was written by the front-woman herself.
She adds, "We were aiming for a cinematic look. We wanted a video that looked more like a movie than a music video and we are really proud how the song and the video turned out."

German metalcore act, Rising Insane, have released their new single "Carousel", marking the fifth track released off their new album Wildfires. The song is accompanied by a music video.
Singer Aaron Steineker comments: "'Carousel' is one of the songs on Wildfires that carries the most traces of the last 10 years of Rising Insane, and it's important to us to bring up something from those traces. This fact and the lyrical part of the song form an analogy: no matter how much we fight against it, in the end we are driven by the perceived mistakes or misbehaviour of others to make decisions that trigger a new series of conflicts. It's a perpetual cycle, like a carousel, until we consciously choose to be a change."
Rising Insane's fourth studio album, Wildfires, (out August 23 via Long Branch Records) takes an in-depth look at the consequences of our collective abstinence from empathy and challenges listeners to ignite their inner flame for change. It is an urgent call to break out of the darkness.
While Rising Insane remains true to their post-hardcore and metalcore roots on Wildfires, the band has evolved collectively and individually, clearly reflected in the new and fresh sound.
Steineker comments on Wildfires: "Over the last two years, I have felt that there is a huge source of strife lurking around every corner. All we have to do is pick up our cell phone and we're immediately thrown into a hate-filled sea of conflict, there's so much hate everywhere. You get the feeling that the world around us is on fire when you add war, global warming, inflation, and depression to the mix. That's how this album got the title Wildfires. Each song on the album is about a specific trouble spot, themes, and stories that have weighed on me while writing. Our goal is to create awareness through our music of how much we burden ourselves and each other instead of focusing on things that connect us and create positivity."
