CRIMSON VEIL Release "Shift" Single And Video

Crimson Veil continue to captivate with their unique take on alternative metal, releasing their new music video, "Shift", today. This single is likely the catchiest tune from Hex, the debut album of the UK-based band, set for release on September 20 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).

"Shift" is a dark and catchy song that will appeal to any rock or metal fan. The music builds gradually incorporating Eastern scales into a bass groove, drawing listeners deeper into Mishkin's spell. The lyrics serve as a chilling warning to those who might cross her path, with lines like, "I'll be the secret that talks...I'll be the hammer that falls." The song culminates in a Messhuggah-esque riff in 15/8, which, despite its complexity, is surprisingly easy to headbang to. The final chorus and end riff deliver powerfully, making the track both intense and enjoyable.

"'Shift' is a favourite to play live because it's so damn catchy, it sucks you in like an evil spell and has you singing the chorus mantra before you know it," adds vocalist Mishkin Fitzgerald.

Hex can be pre-ordered (jewel-case CD, black & red opaque vinyl in gatefold, digital) and pre-saved now, here.

Hex tracklisting:

LEGIONS OF DOOM Supergroup Announce Debut Album + Limited Edition 7" EP; "All Good Things" Video Streaming

Legions Of Doom will release their The Skull 3 full-length on September 13 via Tee Pee Records, today unveiling the record’s first single and pre-orders.

Where does The Skull end and Legions Of Doom begin? The answer might be “right here.” Welcome The Skull 3.

The 2021 passing of vocalist Eric Wagner (The Skull, ex-Trouble, Blackfinger, etc.) looms over Legions Of Doom’s debut, as The Skull guitarist Lothar Keller and bassist Ron Holzner (also ex-Trouble) pick up with material that would have been on that band’s third full-length and realize it in a different form. With Wagner’s involvement in the composition and the blessing of the singer’s family, Legions Of Doom shift further into supergroup territory by welcoming drummer Henry Vasquez (Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Blood Of The Sun), guitarist Scott Little (Leadfoot) and vocalists Karl Agell (Lie Heavy, Leadfood, Blind-era Corrosion Of Conformity) and Scott Reagers (original frontman of Saint Vitus) to the fold, both celebrating Wagner’s life and creativity and finding a path of their own as they do.

“Eric had a file on his computer labeled ‘New Skull Record,’” explains Holzner, “with his lyrics allotted to these songs. I was lucky that his family was able to access the computer and share the files with me. There were extra lyrics and verses that I used to finish the songs. I wrote most of the lyrics to ‘Lost Soul,’ but I’m so happy that Eric’s family was able to access the computer and pass along the lyrics to me.”

It is fitting to the brand of doom proffered by these Legions that Wagner’s spirit is part of this record – not to mention his vocals on “Heaven” – but Legions Of Doom are more than a tribute. Just as The Skull built on the legacy of its component members in Trouble and other outfits – Keller’s contributions to songwriting have always been the secret weapon; that remains true on The Skull 3 – so too does the new group chart its own forward course. In the end, the record becomes as much a debut as it ever might have been a third album for The Skull, and the persona of Legions Of Doom is immediately distinguished through the performances of Reagers and Agell on vocals. Yes, it’s classic doom by veterans who helped define the form, but Legions Of Doom are vibrant in their revelry, and, to be blunt, they sound like a band with more to say. Don’t go into the album expecting a one-off.

Holzner offers context: “Lothar and I wrote eighty percent of the record with Eric prior to him passing away. Karl, Henry and especially Scott Reagers wanted to finish it. Scott really didn’t want The Skull to end and insisted that we continue as The Skull as well as doing Legions Of Doom. LOD will be the main focus from here out and The Skull will play once in a while. Lo and I finished the record with a collaboration with David Snyder (Trouble, Blackfinger) on the song, [and first single], ‘All Good Things’ and wrote the newest song ‘Lost Soul’ with Henry. We also reworked Eric’s acoustic song ‘Heaven’ to go with his recorded vocals. The cover art was done by the legendary David V. D’Andrea (Samaritan Press). I told him I wanted something to represent moving on from The Skull and being reborn in Legions Of Doom…”

In advance of the record’s release, today the band unveils “All Good Things,” which also serves as the A side of a limited-edition EP set for release on August 23. Side B features a cover of Deep Purple’s “Into The Fire,” exclusive to the EP.

Elaborates Agell, “‘All Good Things’ holds great significance. It's the first true Legions Of Doom song. I was granted the great honor of singing Eric Wagner's beautiful words which telegraph hope and redemption in the midst of pain and despair. It became a sort of collaboration beyond the grave, signaling a rebirth. ‘And so dear friends, you have to carry on. All good things come to those who wait.’

“‘Into The Fire’ is one of my favorite songs by Deep Purple off of their 1970 In Rock album. Ron and I recorded a version of it years ago with Reed Mullin of Corrosion Of Conformity (RIP) and Scott Little of Leadfoot on guitar. Scott also happens to play for Legions Of Doom. We loved it then, and we loved tracking it again as a worthy B side for the All Good Things EP.”

Watch the video for “All Good Things” below:

The Skull 3 was recorded by Sanford Parker at the late Steve Albini's Electrical Audio as well as Hyper Cube Studios, mixed by Quentin Poynter at QMP Audio, and mastered by John Scrip at Massive Mastering.

Pre-orders for the All Good Things EP, which will be available digitally and on Purple w/ Black Splatter 7” vinyl (limited to 500 copies), as well as The Skull 3, which will be available on CD, LP and digital formats, can be found here.

Watch: RICHIE FAULKNER Performs ELEGANT WEAPONS' 'Do Or Die' For EMGtv

Video of JUDAS PRIEST's Richie Faulkner performing the ELEGANT WEAPONS song "Do Or Die" live for EMGtv can be seen below. Also available is the previously released video of him performing "Horns For A Halo".

ELEGANT WEAPONS features Faulkner on guitar and Ronnie Romero (RAINBOW, MSG) on vocals, alongside Dave Rimmer (URIAH HEEP) on bass and Christopher Williams (ACCEPT) on drums.

ELEGANT WEAPONS' debut album, "Horns For A Halo", was released on May 26, 2023 via Nuclear Blast. The LP was recorded with bassist Rex Brown (PANTERA, DOWN) and drummer Scott Travis (JUDAS PRIEST) and was helmed by acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap, who has previously worked with JUDAS PRIEST, ACCEPT, EXODUS and MEGADETH, among many others.

In a recent interview with Jorge Botas of Portugal's Metal Global, Faulkner spoke about a possible second album from ELEGANT WEAPONS. He said: "We've already started. We've recorded drums for the second record. We got together in March, I think, of [2023]; I think it was March — I'm not sure. We got together in the studio and played together to record the drums, get the drums recorded. So it's been started."

Asked if the second ELEGANT WEAPONS LP will arrive in 2024 or 2025, Richie said: "I don't know. Maybe [in 2024]. Back in the day, bands used to release a record every year, sometimes two in a year. I know we don't do things under the same cycle anymore. But the ideas are there for the songs. We all were together, and we thought why not get at least the drums going. We got the drums and we got the guitars, and stuff like that, so why not start the process?

"It was important for me, really, when I started the band… It was a band that it wasn't just a one-record type thing," Faulkner explained. "It was a band that plays live and records — hopefully — multiple records and grows and evolves together moving into the future. So the next record is just a part of that sort of process, really."

Richie went on to say that he plans on focusing on ELEGANT WEAPONS full-time once PRIEST has officially called it a day.

"PRIEST music is gonna be around a lot longer than we are," he said. "It's legendary music. They're genre-defining musicians and it's a genre-defining band. It will be around for a long time. But none of us gets out of this alive. That's just the reality of it. So if one day that call comes in and that's the last tour or the last album, whatever it is… I mean, I joined the band on what was the farewell tour. Luckily it wasn't, and we're still here 12 years later. [It's] fantastic. But at the time, I think I would have been silly not to consider what I was gonna do after the band, because of the circumstances of the tour. It was a farewell tour — it was [supposed to be] the last tour — so what am I gonna do after? So it's always been in the back of my mind. And this is a band that seems natural to me to continue with if that call ever came in."

ELEGANT WEAPONS played a number of shows in Europe in June and July 2023, including performances with PANTERA, festival appearances and headlining gigs.

ELEGANT WEAPONS made its first two festival appearances on June 16, 2023 at Hellfest in Clisson, France and on June 18, 2023 at Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.

GWAR Delivers Special Take On 'Barbie' Movie's 'I'm Just Ken' Hit Song

Intergalactic shock rock legends GWAR made a record-breaking sixth appearance at the AV Club studios, again showcasing their unique take on a hit song far outside their usual realm. The return of AV Club's "Undercover" series, after a seven-year hiatus, is a testament to the unparalleled "genius" of GWAR, who have no equal when it comes to reinterpreting songs.

On this visit, GWAR played with dolls, taking on the American icon Barbie, as they covered the hit song "I'm Just Ken" from the "Barbie" movie soundtrack. Of course, GWAR made it all their own. Watch the video for "We're Just GWAR" below.

"I couldn't think of a better way to bring back AV 'Undercover' than with the band responsible for one of my favorite episodes," says Paste Media president Josh Jackson. "GWAR once again knocked it out of the park, completely making a song from the 'Barbie' movie all its own."

GWAR vocalist Blöthar The Berserker states: "We've been fans of Ryan Gosling since the 'Mickey Mouse Club' days, and like most terrifying intergalactic heavy metal superstars, we simply adore musical theater. This just made sense."

Previous visits to the AV Club have seen GWAR showcase their versatility by taking on unexpected hits such as "Carry On, Wayward Son", "Get Out of My Dreams, Get Into My Car", "West End Girls", "She Bop" and "If You Want Blood". Each performance was a unique interpretation that only the lords and masters of GWAR could deliver.

GWAR will embark on "The Stoned Age Tour" this fall in support of their most recent album, "The New Dark Ages". The trek will launch on October 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada at House Of Blues and then wrap up the tour on November 20 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Brooklyn Bowl. The tour features support from black metal royalty DARK FUNERAL and hardcore noise machine SQUID PISSER along with CANCER BATS picking up select dates.

GWAR recently announced the reissue of the band's landmark masterpiece album "Hell-O!", with 2024 being the LP's 36th anniversary. The new release will be blood-spattered clear vinyl and includes expanded artwork featuring never-before-seen photos from the time, including the original album release show in Richmond.

"Hell-O! (36th Anniversary Edition)" will be available in physical form only with limited runs of both CD and vinyl. It is due out September 13 on the band's own label, Pit Records.

To help celebrate this momentous release, the iconic heavy metal collective is also reprinting the "GWAR Must Die" t-shirts made oh-so-famous back in their original pillaging days by human rabble everywhere.

As some of you may know, Blöthar The Berserker once inhabited the earthly form of GWAR's original bass player Beefcake The Mighty. Blöthar The Berserker stated about this momentous occasion: "It was the '80s. I was so young and scared. I will always remember wandering around the seedy sex arcades of Times Square, pants around my ankles, tears in my eyes…little did I know, I was working on the most important record in the history of shock rock. We were polishing a turd for the ages…we wanted to call it 'Beat The Meatles', but the record company said no…and 'Hell-O' was born."

GWAR released a tenth-anniversary edition of its "Battle Maximus" album last September via Pit Records. This new version is completely remixed and remastered, and features the final recorded vocal performance of Oderus Urungus on the previously unreleased and never-before-heard song "Tammy, Queen Of Dirt".

GWAR's latest album, "The New Dark Ages", was released in June 2022 on CD/digital and was made available on vinyl and cassette in September 2022 via GWAR's own Pit Records.

"The New Dark Ages" chronicles GWAR's adventures in the Duoverse, where the band rediscovers old powers such as Blöthar's terrifying Berserker Mode, and encounter new allies, such as the murderous maven known as The Cutter. Along the way, they battle the living monuments of a lost cause and armies of undead soldiers who rise again to fight a new civil war.

The album concept is tied to a companion graphic novel "GWAR In The Duoverse Of Absurdity", which was also released in June 2022 by Z2 Comics. In the graphic novel, the bandmembers are sucked off into an alternate universe to do battle with their evil twins and the specter of rogue technology.

Dave Brockie, who fronted GWAR under the name Oderus Urungus, was found dead in his home in Richmond, Virginia in March 2014. According to Virginia's State Medical Examiner's Office, he died from acute heroin toxicity by accidental means.

Brockie was last remaining original member of GWAR, which was founded 40 years ago. He was 50 years old.

The satirical metal band earned a following for its macabre, over-the-top costumes, offensive lyrics and graphic, gore-soaked shows, in which the bandmembers performed as the descendants of alien warriors who arrived on Earth to enslave and slaughter the human race.

SINNER'S BLOOD - Dark Horizons Album To Arrive In September; "Enemy" Music Video Posted

Chilean metal masters, Sinner’s Blood, announce the release of their second album, Dark Horizons, out September 27 via Frontiers Music Srl. The first single and accompanying video, “Enemy”, are available now. Watch the clip below, and pre-order the new album here.

Guitarist Nasson commented on the track: “Enemy is one of the most energetic songs on the album! The song talks about watching the downfall of an antagonizing figure due to its own faults. We thought it was a great idea to accompany it with a video showing the energy of the band when we perform and having a great time at the studio. It’s a good first taste of what Dark Horizons is about!”.

Sinner’s Blood emerged at the end of the ‘10s as a project conceived by James Robledo, Chilean vocalist and producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Nasson (Chaos Magic). Robledo is renowned for always bringing a powerful and emotional performance rooted in the vein of heavy metal singers like Ronnie James Dio, Jorn Lande, and Russell Allen. He has also released two solo albums on Frontiers Music, Wanted Man in 2021 and Broken Soul in 2023.

Nasson is a Chilean producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of work in the metal scene, collaborating with several world renowned artists. His most recent collaborations with Caterina Nix on the last two Chaos Magic releases and his solo record Scars (2022) received international acclaim and showcased the breadth of his talents.

Rounding out the lineup is bassist Nicolás Fischer, who has been performing for years as a singer and guitarist for a variety of progressive music acts.

Sinner’s Blood delivered their impressive debut album, The Mirror Star, in October 2020. Drawing influences from Symphony X, Primal Fear, Evergrey and early Masterplan, the band managed to create a truly fresh and exciting debut, a mixture of all of the band’s hard rock favourites with a touch of modern vertigo. The quartet supported the release with a Chilean tour, including shows with Symphony X and other renowned acts.

Their sophomore album Dark Horizons takes where the first album has left off, offering the listeners a massive and contemporary approach to melodic metal with strong songwriting and of course outstanding vocals from James Robledo.

Every song Nasson wrote for this album is a different beast and, with James’s voice, they are truly brought to life. With lyrics that are honest and emotional and superb production, Dark Horizons contains some of the most powerful songs ever crafted by Sinner’s Blood.

SIGNUM REGIS Release "Ministry Of Truth" Music Video

Melodic power metal band, Signum Regis, have released a music video for "Ministry Of Truth", taken from their latest album, Undivided.

Ronnie König of Signum Regis comments:"'Ministry of Truth' is a song written by our guitarist Filip Koluš. I did the lyrics and since the song is so heavy, I immediately thought about linking it to a heavy topic. As the title suggests, it criticizes the people in power who have appropriated the right to be the arbiters of truth. Unlike most of our previous music videos, this one is story-driven and features professional actors. It was done in Brazil and the production looks great. We hope you will like it."

Undivided was released on CD, limited vinyl editions and digital in November 2023 via Ulterium Records.

Undivided received excellent feedback from media and fans around the world and most agree that this is the strongest release from the band so far.

The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Kamelot, Evergrey) and the epic artwork was created by Uwe Jarling (Grave Digger, Mystic Prophecy). Guests on the album includes guitarists Jimi Cimbala (No Control) and Daniel J. Fries (Affector) and vocalist David Åkesson (Moonlight Agony, Quantice, Symphonity).

DEMISER Release "Hell Is Full Of Fire" Single And Video

"Hell Is Full Of Fire" is the new single from South Carolina hell bringers, Demiser. The apocalyptic new hymn comes by way of the band's Slave To The Scythe full-length, set for release on August 23 via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records.

The Demiser collective features Demiser The Demiser (occult liturgic blasphemy), Gravepisser (six-stringed Satanic fukklord), Phallomancer (abysmal rhythm of death), Defiler (dismal baritone curator), and Infestor (purveyor of percussive bile). The nine-track Slave To The Scythe is a devastatingly intense slab of work; an aural harbinger of hellish intent that sees the band blend '80s thrash, first-wave black metal, death metal, and a healthy dose of NWOBHM.

Latest album teaser, "Hell Is Full Of Fire," is an epic tale of a demonic war, featuring the lines, "Call in the hordes, prepare for victory; The vermin Christ and his servants; Will soon plead as their blood spills; By the will of my steel." The band further elaborates, "This was one that started with a riff Phallomancer brought to practice and we all jumped in and got it fleshed out. Lyrically, we were making up dumb song titles we thought Demiser The Demiser would write and somehow he dropped this gem out of his ass. We ran with it. We still regret it."

Slave To The Scythe was recorded in the summer of 2023 with Chase McGuckin at Seaboard Recording Studio in West Columbia, South Carolina. "We record one at a time with scratch tracks and clicks and all. We recorded with minimal AC so it was hot as f*cking sh*t." The band sees Slave To The Scythe as the perfect followup to Through The Gate Eternal. "We feel like it's a continuation of our first album and upholds the same ripping sound," they say.

Demiser will be releasing three singles from the new opus, beginning with the face-ripping "Infernal Bust" - a sort of Rosemary's Baby for a gore-loving audience that includes the lyrics, "Rot your womb, spread the seed that Satan seeps; Flesh grows pale, fruit of man wilts."

Slave To The Scythe will be available in CD and Digital formats, as well as Vinyl in "Carbureted Fire." Find pre-orders here.

"Carbureted Speed"
"Phallomancer The Phallomancer"

ORANGE GOBLIN Premier Official Video For "Ascend The Negative"

Streaming now everywhere is Orange Goblin's new single, "The Fire At The Centre Of The Earth Is Mine", the fourth song released from the upcoming Science, Not Fiction album, out this Friday, July 19, via Peaceville Records. Watch the official video for the song below:

Science, Not Fiction was recorded at Woodworm Studios UK in late 2023, with production and mixing duties carried out by Grammy winning producer Mike Exeter (most notable for his work with Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Tony Iommi) and mastering conducted by the esteemed Peter Hewitt-Dutton at The Bakery in LA.

From the explosive death-boogie of opener “The Fire At The Centre Of The Earth Is Mine” onwards, the band’s tenth album crackles with energy and belligerence. Following the departure of long serving bassist Martyn Millard in 2020, Orange Goblin welcomed close friend Harry Armstrong (formerly Hangnail) into the fray, making Science, Not Fiction his first studio outing with the band. With the new line-up fizzing with chemistry, the hard rocking likes of “(Not) Rocket Science”, “The Fury Of A Patient Man” and “The Justice Knife” breathe new life into some classic Orange Goblin tropes. Meanwhile, twisted prog-doom detours like “False Hope Diet” and “Cemetary Rats” take the Londoners into epic new territory, with everything from skull-shattering punk ‘n’ roll to transcendent space rock hurled into the swirling brew.

“It is a continuation of what we’ve been doing, and that’s because when we write, it’s a big mixing bowl of all of our influences and favourite artists, and we try and create the perfect band that we always wanted to hear,” Ben states. “This album, it’s just more accomplished and mature, I guess. None of us are spring chickens anymore and we’ve got ten albums under our belts now. I feel like we’re more professional in the recording studio, I feel like we’re better musicians and writers, and now with me looking after myself, I feel like my performance is better as well. It’s all moving in the right direction.”

For the last 30 years, Orange Goblin, London-based hard rock lifers, have tirelessly flown the flag for balls-out heavy metal and maximum rock ‘n’ roll. Driven by passion, persistence and heartfelt love for metal’s dark magic, Orange Goblin have always been a vital force and a risk-free bet. But while some may be content to trade on past glories, Orange Goblin view heavy metal as a lifelong pursuit. In 2024, they open a new chapter in their heroic saga, marking it with the release of their tenth studio album: Science, Not Fiction

“People have funny ideas about what heavy metal is. But to me, it’s an attitude, it’s a lifestyle, it’s not something you decide to dip into. You either are or you’re not. And it’s for life.” - Ben Ward, Orange Goblin

Science, Not Fiction will be released on July 19 on the following formats (pre-orderhere):

- CD Deluxe with Bonus track presented in a digipack with a 20 page booklet
- Limited Edition Gatefold 2LP Green and Black Marble vinyl edition available exclusively from the band & Peaceville stores

MAJESTICA Release New Single "A New Beginning"; Music Video

Majestica are back with their first new music of 2024. The Swedish power metal quartet proudly presents their latest single, "A New Beginning", which is the band's first release since 2021. Therefore, the song name not only fits in relation to this, but also speaks about a new beginning and letting things come to an end. Paired with musical elements reminiscent of the 80s, Majestica unleashes a new catchy tune upon their fans that puts the band back on the radar.

As if the release of this brand new single wasn't enough, Majestica have also delivered a brand new music video for their single, which you can watch below.

Tommy Johansson comments: "When Majestica finally returns with a new song it couldn’t have been a better one than
'A New Beginning'. Not only is it a heavy power metal song with a catchy sing-along chorus, but it’s also very melodic in the style of Stratovarius, 80’s rock, and Helloween with some hints of Gary Moore. The song reflects on (as the title says) to start over, but also of something that comes to an end. But the end isn’t always a bad thing. It feels great to finally release some new music with Majestica again and to show that we’re back - back with a new beginning."

Stream the new single here, and watch the video below:

Majestica is:

Tommy Johansson - guitars, vocals
Petter Hjerpe - guitars
Chris David - bass
Joel Kollberg - drums

VOMIT FORTH Announce Terrified Of God Album; “Rotting Wool” Single Streaming

Northeast based agents of terror Vomit Forth are driven to create the most visceral death metal the world has ever experienced. They have announced their new album Terrified Of God, set for release October 11 through Century Media Records. In the deep winter of early 2024, the band headed into a cabin in the woods with Randy Lebouf (The Acacia Strain, Jesus Piece), who recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the album. Vomit Forth had an unabashed goal to make “the most unsettling, brutal and scary death metal record of all time” and across the album’s twelve tracks, they surpass it.

Preorder Terrified Of God here.

On the album’s themes, vocalist Kane shares:

“The biggest thing I want to get across with this record and that humanity doesn’t know everything. We are flawed, and in a lot of ways disgusting.  We act like we aren’t afraid of what happens after we die. I know most people like to think nothing happens and we just conduct heat.  That there’s no consequence other than how we effect other people during our time here, but I know there’s a hint of fear in the back of everyone’s mind.  Everyone feels it.  Not a single person on this earth lives without being Terrified of God at one point or another in their life.”

Vomit Forth shared the brutal early single “Blood Soaked Death Dream” in late May, and now follow it with “Rotting Wool.” The track is an exercise in brutality, pummeling audiences with angular riffs and relentless drums from the first beat of the song. The vocals effortlessly shift from guttural howls to anguished screams and moments of grunge-tinged clean vocals. A willingness to explore and incorporate influences from across a wide sonic landscape has always set Vomit Forth apart from their metal peers, with this latest song expanding on that ambition even further. The official music video shifts between gore filled 'found footage' montages and grainy shots of the band performing the song, creating an aura of disgust and terror throughout.

Kane adds on the dark and introspective track:

“‘Rotting Wool’ is about how even though we try to deceive ourselves and each other we can’t ultimately hide from the truth.  In the end we all find out if it was all worth it.  We can’t hide from it. Our own failures, insecurities, and inner pain.  We can put the wool over our eyes, but it will eventually fall away.”

BEAUTY IN CHAOS Debut "Holy Ground" Music Video

With their fourth album, Dancing With Angels, just a breath away (out July 24), LA-based collective Beauty In Chaos throws open the gates to the darkwave realm, sharing a stunning music video for "Holy Ground". A lush offering that features the unforgettable vocals of Patrik Mata of seminal darkwave band Kommunity FK, this marks a thrilling departure from BIC's signature goth rock / postpunk sound.

Formed in 2018 by guitarist Michael Ciravolo (formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and currently President of Schecter Guitars) with Grammy nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry), Beauty in Chaos is a revolving evolving sonic entity. To date, BIC has involved numerous luminaries from The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls, dUg Pinnick (Kings X), Ice-T, guitar icon Zakk Wylde, Rolan Bolan, among others.

“I love swinging the pendulum as far opposite as possible from our previous video. I think 'Holy Ground' faithfully captures the sights and sounds of the great mid ‘80s darkwave scene that revolved around Los Angeles’ famed Scream club. This was such a great time in music. This is when I actually first met Patrik, as we shared several bills with them when I was a member of Human Drama," says Michael Ciravolo.

Both Human Drama and Kommunity FK appeared on Geffen’s 1987 Scream Compilation, with the latter gaining well-deserved fame for their MTV and club hit "Something Inside Me Has Died". Patrik Mata is currently working with Dave Roberts (Sex Gang Children) in a new project, called Kult Children Ov The Damned.

As for the story behind "Holy Ground", Patrik Mata shares, "A Watcher, a Supernatural Being, descends upon the planet below. He became transfixed, curious, & seduced by the women & Earthly pleasures & mysteries found. Ever since The Beginning this Being roamed the Earth creating Nephilim. What seems like an Eternity, The Being becomes a Fallen Angel, jaded, decadent, & tired having used & having been through every Earthling on the planet. The Fallen Angel shares its interpretation ov how this planet used to be considered Holy Ground, but now it is not. The only thing that The Fallen Angel yearns for is to return back Home. Back to The Gate.”

Released via 33.3 Music Collective, the Dancing With Angels album cements BIC's legacy for crafting captivating and imagination-stirring music with eight diverse, riveting tracks on offer. Michael Ciravolo explains, "The title was inspired by a painting from a talented German artist Maren Platzhoff, which also became the album’s cover.  As Michael Rozon and I began writing the music for this release, I knew I wanted to blend artists from our first two releases with some amazing new members to our BIC family."

This eight song release features BIC alumni Ashton Nyte, Holy Wars firecracker Kat Leon, and both Wayne and Cinthya Hussey.  Ciravolo shares, “I love bringing in ‘less famous’ but certainly no less talented artists to the fold, and I think this album does just that." Leo Luganskiy (Strangelove), Julian Shah-Tayler (The Singularity), former Silence In The Snow frontwoman Cynthia Isabella, The Bellwether Syndicate’s William and Sarah Faith, and Patrik Mata (Kommunity FK) bring immense and diverse talents to Dancing With Angels.

Ciravolo describes this album as sort of a "sonic regression and a sonic progression", noting, “I meant this as a positive thing, taking some of the post-rock elements of our debut album, the stark dark bits that run through ‘The Storm Before The Calm' and the gothy dreamy-gaze of  'Behind The Veil’. It was definitely going a bit backwards to take a few steps forward!”

Speaking of going forward, this album in its CD format includes something that Ciravolo has long wanted to do... joining the songs together with musical interludes, which he has dubbed ‘Halos’. Ciravolo explains, “These are unique soundscape interludes that sonically tie each song together, along with the album’s coda.  I do have this… probably unrealistic romantic idea that the listener will give this album at least one top-to-bottom uninterrupted listen”.

The album's lead track 'Diving For Pearls' features The Mission's Wayne Hussey and Cinthya Hussey, his wife and partner in Archeometre, accompanied by an overlapping-reality video, created by Vicente Cordero / Industrialism Films, The ‘single version’ was mixed by legendary producer Tim Palmer (The Cure, U2, David Bowie, Robert Plant, HIM, The Mission). Hussey's fourth BIC collaboration, Ciravolo says this “may just be the best we’ve written together”.
