STRAY FROM THE PATH Shares Video For New Single 'Kubrick Stare'

STRAY FROM THE PATH — Drew Dijorio, vocals; Tom Williams, guitar; Anthony Altamura, bass; and Craig Reynolds, drums — has released the official music video for the band's ferocious new single "Kubrick Stare". Watch it below.

In conjunction with the new song and visual, the band is pleased to announce that it has signed with SharpTone Records.

For "Kubrick Stare", STRAY FROM THE PATH returned to the studio with longtime producer and frequent collaborator Will Putney (BODY COUNT, KNOCKED LOOSE, VEIN.FM). They tapped into a groove almost immediately. Backed by a jarring beat, a stomping guitar riff punctuated by eerie squeals sets the tone for the track. It gives way to a vitriolic verse from Dijorio who wonders: "How much can we fucking bare?" Finally, the hard-hitting hook takes hold: "Oh you traumatized, just walk it off?"

About the track, which is somewhat of a commentary on our digitally driven society, Williams states: "It felt like we were capturing lightning in a bottle. We built the song around those scary chords. Every day, people on the Internet see the craziest things they've ever seen in their lives. Sometimes, it's hard to feel seriously about these atrocities because we see them all day. You're so numb to it that you're just staring blankly."

He continues: "It's unfortunately become normal, and it's driving us crazy. Hence, the 'Kubrick Stare' reference — which was a tactic Stanley Kubrick used to show a character losing his mind. We're locked into our phones, and we probably look like Jack looking out of the window in 'The Shining'."

Expect even more from STRAY FROM THE PATH in 2025. But for now, it's all about that "Kubrick Stare".

STRAY FROM THE PATH will hit the road later this month for a European tour supporting SPIRITBOX.

Since the turn of the century, STRAY FROM THE PATH has infused hardcore with metallic precision, hip-hop attitude, punk spirit, and unapologetic politically charged songwriting unafraid to point out injustice. As such, the New York quartet Ha engendered obsession among a diehard fanbase, selling out shows worldwide. In 2025, an unbreakable creative and personal bond continues to drive the band as they prepare more music for release.

Íîâîå âèäåî IDLE HEIRS

Idle Heirs, which features Sean Ingram of Coalesce and producer Josh Barber, will release their debut album, Life Is Violence, on April 11

Idle Heirs is a band born from necessity, forged through a need to articulate previously unspoken feelings, illuminating the darkest recesses and inhabiting them wholeheartedly. The two piece band from the Kansas City area is a tight knit unit that hums with creativity and revels in the freedom of creating exactly what their hearts desire.

For over a decade Sean Ingram’s focus had been elsewhere; due to the prolonged hiatus of Coalesce, music was no longer at the forefront of his artistic endeavours. When events – on both a global and personal level, and specifically, where the two intersect – conspired to bring Ingram to a place where music once again became essential, the seed for Idle Heirs was planted. Rather than the conditions being right for a musical reprise, the conditions had to be all wrong, leaving only one way forward.

Having connected with musician and producer Josh Barber, Ingram already knew who his co-conspirator for this mission would be. The two friends had discussed working together on music but their earliest efforts had stalled. Describing himself as “a doer, not a dreamer”, Ingram made it clear to Barber that there was an increasing urgency to getting the project off the ground. Barber understood how imperative this was to them both, and took dramatic measures to kickstart the creative process.

Barber sequestered himself in a remote part of the Pacific Northwest for eight days, giving himself the space and time to concentrate solely on what would become the blueprint for the debut Idle Heirs album. Shedding his self-imposed attempts to compose what others expected of him, Barber wrote with a solitary, highly focussed mindset, all the while imbibing the atmosphere of the gloomy forests and storm-battered shoreline around him.

Motivated only by a need to express what roiled inside them, the duo had no intention of the band being for public consumption. Even as the creative contributions of others weaved their way into the Idle Heirs core, the pair remained focussed only on the path they sought to follow, trusting each other implicitly and pushing each other each and every step of the way.

Today, Idle Heirs shares the first taste of music from their Life Is Violence debut album, “Rare Bird”. Stream / share “Rare Bird” on DSP’s here, and find the music video below.

Life Is Violence was recorded at Ocean Sound studio in Norway – something of a bucket list adventure, given Barber’s fondness of Cult Of Luna. Indulging themselves in the freedom that came with creating without restriction or expectation, the pair decamped to the icy Norwegian wilderness with five of their collaborators to lay down the eight tracks. The isolation of the studio and the absence of external pressures allowed for an unparalleled clarity and exacting level of attention to detail.

Idle Heirs have created a post-metal album that captures a certain vulnerability within its mournful sound. Ingram attributes this to the fact that throughout its creation, even as the songs themselves were taking shape and coming to life, the album was still not recorded with an audience in mind. Assuming that it would never be heard beyond his closest circle of friends allowed a disarming honesty to permeate the songs. Alongside this, there’s a leftfield turn for anyone expecting only to hear his familiar throat-shredding vocals: on Life Is Violence, Ingram utilizes a broader range of vocal styles, a development of his craft that required considerable training. The unguarded approach and differing vocal delivery allow slivers of optimism to counter the desperation and tension; even in darkness light can sometimes be found.

Embracing the idea that art can be an effective way of processing experiences, Ingram channeled a complex web of grief and existential thought into his lyrics. Thematically, Life Is Violence contemplates the thread of paternal influence from generation to generation and how it can be disrupted. Ingram examines the impact his father had on his life, whilst simultaneously contemplating his own mortality and what he will pass down to his children. With a determination to ensure that what he leaves behind in the future is markedly different to what he inherited himself, Idle Heirs have issued a missive that stands as both a line in the sand and a testament to love.

BURNING WITCHES LAURA GULDEMOND Shares Cover Of IRON MAIDEN’s “The Trooper” Featuring Guitarist COURTNEY COX

Laura Guldemond, vocalist for Swiss heavy metal force Burning Witches, has shared a cover of the Iron Maiden classic, “The Trooper”, featuring bandmate Courtney Cox.

For more videos and exclusive material go to Guldemond’s official Patreon page.

Burning Witches bring back the vibe of ’80s heavy metal and update their powerful force with renewed sonic clarity on their new maxi-single, The Spell Of The Skull, out via Napalm Records. With screaming guitars, the Swiss band is back for a heavy metal blast session in the snow.

With The Spell Of The Skull, they curse audiences with two new songs from their latest conjuring of witchcraft. Witchqueen Romana Kalkuhl hypnotizes your mind with her melodic riffs, while diabolic priestess Laura Guldemond conquers your soul with crowd pleasing shouts.

The stunning single “Mirror, Mirror” has been released alongside an official lyric video. The track opens with a virtuous intro that shows the band’s true witchcraft, especially when it comes to creating catchy and hypnotizing guitar riffs. Laura Guldemond, on the other hand, impresses with her incredible vocal range and distinctive style of singing. This new onslaught satisfies all supporters of the fast and unholy forces.

Only a few years after their foundation, these five witches had already performed at fully attended shows at the biggest and most important festivals of the entire metal universe, like Wacken, Summer Breeze and Rock Harz Open Air in Germany. After five attention-grabbing albums, Burning Witches prepare for another attack in 2025.

MOTÖRHEAD – Official Video Released For “Overkill” Top Of The Pops Performance

Motörhead have released the video below, a performance of “Overkill” from BBC’s Top Of The Pops in 1979.

“Overkill” appears on Motörhead’s album Overkill. Originally released on Bronze Records on March 24, 1979, produced by Jimmy Miller. The lineup on this album was Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor. This was their first appearance on BBC’s Top Of The Pops from March 9, 1979.

Motörhead, the multi-generational soundtrack and lifestyle for millions worldwide, celebrate their 50th year in 2025, and in honour of this historic milestone, a series of releases and events will take place throughout the year.

Having played live to millions of fans, and sold over 25 million albums in their career, the Grammy-Award winning Motörhead are as popular as ever as their golden jubilee commences. In 2024, the band enjoyed a brand new UK top 10 single in October with “Lawman”, racked up over 320 million streams globally, numbered 20 million listeners on Spotify, and garnered over 112 million views on YouTube. And starting with a very special release to be announced in May, the year 2025 will be a celebration that confirms Motörhead is For Life and Lemmy is Forever.

“It’s incredible to know that our music, and all it stands for, continues to resonate with so many people,” says guitarist Phil Campbell, “of course we’re enormously grateful to still be appreciated like we are, and truthfully, the music remains as vital and important as ever because there’s a unique energy and honesty to it that we will all always need.”

“It’s a remarkable story, the connection we have with our fans can only be described as family and it’s so exciting to see the family still growing,” says Mikkey Dee, “But it also makes sense, because people know who we are and what the music is about. Motörhead has always stood for doing it OUR way, it’s timeless, and continues to inspire people to take that path.”

Kicking off the celebrations will be special 50th anniversary, limited vinyl editions of Motörhead’s breakthrough albums; Overkill, Bomber and Ace Of Spades. These are all cut as half speed masters, pressed as special colour configurations and all include an exclusive poster and released on February 28. Pre-order here.

Then on May 8, International Motörhead Day, a very special Lemmy Forever ashes event will take place – the unveiling of a Lemmy statue in his birthplace of Stoke-On-Trent. The sculptor of the piece is renowned British artist Andy Edwards (who has previously done statues of The Beatles, Bob Marley, and The Bee Gees among others), and Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell will place the ashes and lead the celebrations.

“This new statue of Lem is special, not just because I share the same birthplace as him or because of how much he personally means to me, but because it’s so important to have a permanent international landmark celebrating him where he was born,” says Edwards. “Lemmy gave me joy, confidence in myself, and energy, and he’s also an avatar of the original spirit and power of Rock n Roll. I really hope it will become a meeting place for people from all over the world to take the journey to.”

“To be able to see Lemmy further immortalized in his place of birth by Andy’s amazing statue is a huge deal,” says manager Todd Singerman. “This man left the building 10 years ago, yet he remains not only with us, but is even more popular than ever. It’s because Lemmy stood for honesty, integrity, inclusion, and making the greatest, loudest rock’n’roll possible. Let’s face it, there is only one Lemmy and the world continues to celebrate him and his music loudly and proudly.”

There will be plenty of other celebrations happening throughout the year, so keep your eyes and ears peeled… and remember… THE ONLY WAY TO FEEL THE NOISE IS WHEN IT’S GOOD AND LOUD! MOTÖRHEAD FOR LIFE – LEMMY FOREVER

For all things Motörhead, check out the band’s newsletter here.

RAGING SPEEDHORN To Release Night Wolf Album In March; “Every Night’s Alright For Fighting” Single And Video Out Now

British Pioneers of down-tuned epic sludge rock, Raging Speedhorn, return with the brand new single, “Every Night’s Alright For Fighting”, taken from their new album, Night Wolf, set for release on March 6 via Spinefarm.

Speaking about the video, the band stated: “We all love the late 80’s/90’s wrestling era (the Golden age) and this is a video we have wanted to film for a long time. Finally, we wrote ‘Every Night’s Alright For Fighting’ and we knew this was the song straight away to pay homage to some of our childhood heroes of the squared circle. The song itself embraces the more classic Speedhorn sound, and we’re stoked to finally release our tongue in cheek tribute to the masses. We hope you all like it! Oooooh Yeahhhh!”

Watch the video below.

Night Wolf is an album that perfectly captures the magic Raging Speedhorn have been concocting over their 25-year plus career. Flitting between sludge, crushing doom and high-energy dirt-fuelled rock ‘n’ roll riffs, the sextet have matured like a fine wine and honed their craft to a new level.

Featuring ten tracks of ferocious, riff-centred metal that’s packed with strength, power, and, ultimately, song-driven groove, Raging Speedhorn are once again ready to provide an antidote to mediocrity and pedestrian radio-rock.

Recorded with Russ Russell (Napalm Death, At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir) at Parlour Studios in Kettering, UK, the relationship between RSH and Russell has been honed over many years – he has produced the Pledge Music-released “Lost Ritual” and “Hard To Kill”.

The band’s drummer, Gordon Morrison, comments: “Russ really captures what we want to achieve and understands the band. We always work well together and, frankly, I wouldn’t want to record with anyone else at this stage.”

Night Wolf is the first album to feature new guitarist Daf Williams who joins founding members Frank Regan (vocals), Gordon Morison (drums) and mainstays Jim Palmer (guitar), Andy Gilmour (bass – who also plays with UK post-hardcore legends Hundred Reasons) and second vocalist Dan Cook. This reinvigorated line-up sees Raging Speedhorn not only capture the spirit of the band’s DNA but push their own musical boundaries and swagger into new uncharted territories.

Night Wolf tracklisting:

“Blood Red Sky”
“Buzz Killa”
“The Blood Code”
“Can’t Stop”
“Every Night’s Alright For Fighting”
“Night Wolf”
“DOA”
“Comin’ In Hard”
“Dead Men Can’t Dance”
“Dead Reckoning”

THE WILDHEARTS Share 'Troubadour Moon' Single From Upcoming 'Satanic Rites Of THE WILDHEARTS' Album

British rockers THE WILDHEARTS have released a brand new single, "Troubadour Moon", the second track to be revealed from their upcoming studio album, "Satanic Rites Of The Wildhearts", due out on March 7, 2025 via Snakefarm. The accompanying music video, directed by Shaun Hodson of Loki Films, can be seen below.

"Satanic Rites Of The Wildhearts" track listing:

01. Eventually
02. Scared Of Glass
03. Troubadour Moon
04. Fire In The Cheap Seats
05. Kunce
06. Maintain Radio Silence
07. Blue Moon Over Brinkburn
08. Hurt People Hurt People
09. I'll Be Your Monster
10. Failure Is The Mother Of Success
11. Loyola (bonus track)

When the LP's first single, "Failure Is The Mother Of Success", was released in December, THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger (real name David Walls) said: "'Failure Is The Mother Of Success' is about getting back on your feet after things have gone wrong.

"There's an old saying, 'fall down three times, get up four'. It's about feeling like you're worth getting back up for, and that making mistakes is just an essential part of life, everyone does it.

"At almost eight minutes long, it's pretty brave for the record company to pick it as a single, but it's a really good taster for the album and has everything any WILDHEARTS fan could want. I hope you absolutely love it!"

Dante Bonutto of Snakefarm added: "To be honest, I really struggled to decide what the lead single should be. Whenever I was sent a new track, I thought, 'Right, that's the single!' In fact, every song could have been. But then that's THE WILDHEARTS — never knowingly under-singled! In the end, when I heard Ginger talk about 'Failure…', it became clear that this is the unofficial title track of the album, brilliantly encapsulating the triumph over adversity theme; the fact that the future remains unwritten, you just need to grasp both the nettle and the pen, possibly the other way round?!

"If you love the fact, like I do, that Ginger can feature an album's worth of song ideas in a single track, and do it seamlessly, then you're in for a treat!"

Check out the official video for "Failure Is The Mother Of Success" below.

The creatively brilliant Ginger is arguably amongst the U.K.'s best and most prolific songwriters, and his band, THE WILDHEARTS, recently signed a worldwide deal with Snakefarm/Integral.

"The songs on 'Satanic Rites…' were written during a period of transition, from extremely negative to positive," reflects Ginger. "I realized how much control I have over my mental health, and the songs came from that understanding. There's everything here — catchy choruses, proper fuck-off riffs, anger, frustration, acceptance and revelation, with plenty of insane detours. The album starts pessimistic and ends up like 'Ah, so I CAN turn my life around?' It's a hard rock album for people who love hard rock!"

"Satanic Rites Of The Wildhearts" was produced by Jim Pinder (BRING ME THE HORIZON, WHILE SHE SLEEPS, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and mixed by Jim Pinder and Carl Bown (TRIVIUM, MACHINE HEAD, WHILE SHE SLEEPS, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, BRING ME THE HORIZON).

"Satanic Rites Of The Wildhearts" will be available on colored vinyl LP, CD (with exclusive bonus track),and cassette. The LP and CD formats contain lyrics hand-written by Ginger, a painting by Ginger, plus other Ginger-related graphics.

To celebrate this release, THE WILDHEARTS will be playing eight headline U.K. shows in March, starting on March 7 at the Leadmill in Sheffield and concluding on March 16 at the 1865 in Southampton.

About the tour, Ginger said:"We'll be taking a full evening's entertainment on tour, kicking off with party-punks Dirt Box Disco, going to rock 'n' roll church with Jim Jones, then being flayed alive with THE WILDHEARTS. The party starts when the doors open, so get a buzz on and get down early. Come join THE WILDHEARTS' community gathering. We guarantee you'll leave with the spirit of rock 'n' roll firmly restored"

For three decades, THE WILDHEARTS have remained at the forefront of the U.K. rock scene, and their incendiary live shows have cemented their reputation and legacy as one of the best bands their homeland has produced, so miss these shows at your peril.

SAXON Shares Music Video For '1066' Song From 'Hell, Fire And Damnation' Album

To celebrate their upcoming European "Hell, Fire And Steel" tour, British heavy metal legends SAXON have released the dramatic Paul M. Green-directed video for the band's new single "1066", taken from their critically acclaimed 24th studio album, "Hell, Fire And Damnation", out now via Silver Lining Music.

SAXON frontman Biff Byford says: "A totally British-themed song, the massive invasion… In fact, it was the end of the Saxons really, so I'm singing about the demise of the Saxons.

"I did a song with AMON AMARTH a while back called 'Saxons And Vikings' which was about the end of the Vikings in England and the rise of the Saxons, so I thought I may as well do a song about six-seven hundred years later when William The Conqueror comes over and nobbles the Saxons.

"We'll be playing the song on the 'Hell, Fire And Steel' tour next month, which is gonna be fantastic."

Meanwhile, tickets for the "Hell, Fire And Steel" tour are selling fast, with many of the shows already sold out, including the very first show in Bremen and more shows also running low on tickets. SAXON will be joined by their great friends GIRLSCHOOL as main support, with GRAND SLAM appearing as special guests. Very special guest Doro will join SAXON on the last show at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf.

"Hell, Fire And Damnation" is an album which sees SAXON investigate all areas of history and mystery amidst ten of their most confident and thunderously powerful songs yet.

On "Hell, Fire And Damnation", Byford delivers his richest vocals in years, Nigel Glockler and Nibbs Carter on drums and bass, respectively, lay down the rhythmic law with bombastic power, and the guitars of Doug Scarratt and Brian Tatler are fresh and fiery, a perfect complement to each other, carrying an overall energy and fury which will have fans salivating. Musically, SAXON bring it all to the table. There's a furious tribute to actual heavy metal in the denim-and-leather-coated super-sprint "Fire And Steel", a wonderful nod to the NWOBHM's birth in the electric mid-pace "Pirates Of The Airwaves", but maybe the true treasure amidst the jewels is "There's Something In Roswell", with the sort of expansive groove and embrace which deserves arenas.

Produced by Andy Sneap (JUDAS PRIEST, EXODUS, ACCEPT) and Byford, with Sneap mixing and mastering, "Hell, Fire And Damnation" strides the perfect line between confident, current power, and gloriously irreverent flexing of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal muscle which SAXON co-created.

"I think this album's one of the best he's done sound-wise, and he's done a lot of albums," Biff declared. "It has a really raw, vibrant sound... if you compress the total time making this album, it was four weeks tops… you can hear everything brilliantly, nothing's overcomplicated, nothing's over compressed. The guitar sounds are fucking immense, they're just great, raw guitar sounds. And we haven't done a lot of overdubbing on there, it's just playing. I really, really like it."

In early 2023, SAXON guitarist Paul Quinn announced that he was stepping back from touring with the band. As a result of his decision, SAXON canceled its April 2023 South American tour as well as the appearance at the Monsters Of Rock cruise. Quinn has since been replaced on the road by DIAMOND HEAD's Brian Tatler.

Brian has already joined fellow guitarist Doug Scarratt, drummer Nigel Glockler, bassist Tim "Nibbs" Carter and Byford for a number of shows in 2023 and 2024, but will continue to be a member of DIAMOND HEAD.

Byford and Quinn are the sole remaining original members in SAXON's current lineup.

Originally from South Yorkshire, England, SAXON has gone on to sell about 23 million albums and has produced such classic songs as "Denim And Leather", "Princess Of The Night", "Wheels Of Steel" and "Power And Glory".
