After nearly a decade as a band, Hamilton, Ontario melodic-hardcore group Counterparts is gearing up for what could well be one of their greatest releases yet. The band’s upcoming fourth studio album, Tragedy Will Find Us, is scheduled for release on July 24 via Pure Noise Records and finds them at their most creative as they start their next chapter. A new track “Tragedy” is streaming at this location. Preorder the album here.
Tragedy Will Find Us is a record of redemption that marks a turning point for the band. Singer Brendan Murphy recently said the album represented him at rock bottom with nowhere to go but up. The intensity of that sentiment can be found throughout the record’s eleven songs, including hard-hitting new tracks “Burn” and “Collapse.”
Counterparts will embark on a month long tour with Every Time I Die, Real Friends, Gnarwolves, Brigades and Gatherers later this month.
