EMBALMER Streaming New Track "I Am The EMBALMER”; Emanations From The Crypt Album Details RevealedAmerican death metal cult Embalmer are streaming the new track "I Am The Embalmer" (available in the widget below). The track hails from the band's long-awaited second album, Emanations From The Crypt, set for international release on April 1st via Hells Headbangers.
The long-running band's first album for longtime fans Hells Headbangers, Emanations From The Crypt is both a new start for Embalmer and a return to its classic, core values. In 1995, the band released the classic There Was Blood Everywhere EP (of which Hells Headbangers reissued in 2014, and which sold out quickly) on then-death metal powerhouse Relapse Records, forever etching Embalmer's name into death metal legendry. Lineup shuffles ensued in the following years, culminating in the band's debut album, 2006's 13 Faces Of Death, which is widely regarded (even by the band) as a misstep.
Now armed with a vital 'n' vile lineup, Embalmer return to their dark 'n' disgusting roots with Emanations From The Crypt. Across a dozen quick-hitting yet complete tracks, you will find all the trademark Embalmer elements which obsessed fans back in the '90s: insane and completely pure blastbeats, sewer-sick riffing, wretched gurgles, and tortured shrieks atop some of the catchiest (but NOT cheesy) songwriting you'll find on a modern death metal record. The production is anything but "modern" in the pejorative sense: there are no triggers used on the drums, no beat- or riff-replacement anywhere, and just absolute crushing sickness flowing forth from both guitar and bass, all without losing an ounce of clarity. It's a classic death metal record from a classic death metal band in an era that's far from "classic" and full of pretenders.
Says Gorefiend, “This record is long-overdue, and we acknowledge that. The band never was truly happy with the 13 Faces Of Death album, so we worked hard to really make sure this release was a return-to-form of sorts, and true representation of what we feel Embalmer is, and always has been. We went back to the basics and drew influence from the original Into the Oven and There Was Blood Everywhere eras musically, peppered in some extra Terrorizer/Autopsy influences, added some crazed Deranged Rated-X-style riffing over the top, and backed it all against the blasting, non-triggered drum assault Roy has become known for. Matter of fact, Roy still plays the same drum-set he bought in 1988, and used for all previous recordings. Vocally, all the elements older fans expect from an Embalmer release are present, from forceful lows, the trademark eeeeeees, and tortured shrieks and highs. I am speaking as a 20-plus-year fan myself, and not a member when I tell you this is the most aggressive, blistering and punishing Embalmer release to date. Yes, the wait was long but definitely worth it, and we honestly can’t wait to get this music out to the fans and hear their feedback!”

Emanations From The Crypt by EMBALMER
Plans are also in the works for Hells Headbangers to re-release Embalmer's Into the Oven (1991) and Taxidermist (1992) demos on gatefold double- or triple-LP, and of course, with tons of unreleased recordings, photos, fliers, and extensive bonus materials which have been recently unearthed from the morbid vaults. This will be the definitive collection for Embalmer's classic 1990-1992 era, and provide a rotted glimpse back to the earliest eras of the band, which previously began as Corpsegrinder in 1988/'89 before the name change.
Embalmer lineup:
Paul Gorefiend - vocals
Roy Stewart - drums
Steve Pedley - guitar
Don Wolff - guitar
Joe Wunderle - bass

Crimes Against Reality is the third album for Game Over, one of the most promising up and coming bands in the European metal scene. Lyrics vary from B-movie scenarios to social-political themes, science fiction, mythology and dystopian visions. The album was recorded by Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studio in San Marino.
Cover artwork was created by Mario E. Lopez (Evil Invaders, Impalers, Hyades).

CANDLEMASS Mainman LEIF EDLING's THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM Project Releases 'Never Machine' Demo EPThe demo recordings from THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM, the new solo project from CANDLEMASS bassist and songwriter Leif Edling, have been made available for purchase on very limited-edition vinyl and as a digital download via Bandcamp. Both the "Never Machine" demo EP (four tracks) and the "Never Machine" seven-inch single are available in 250 copies each: 150 black and 100 copies in colored vinyl.
"Never Machine" demo EP track listing: 01. Never Machine02. The Sceptre03. Zodiac City 04. The Whispering
"Never Machine" was the first song written by Leif for THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM. "The Sceptre" is about an evergoing war between the red and the black queen. "Zodiac City" features guest vocals from Niklas "Viper" Stålvind of Swedish metallers WOLF. "The Whispering" is a ghostlike ballad sung by Leif, featuring a beautiful string/mellotron arrangement by Carl Westholm, and nice acoustic guitar played by Marcus Jidell.
Leif is currently working on the debut album from THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM, tentatively due in the fall.
Edling stated about THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM: "THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM was created two years ago. I was in pretty bad shape. I couldn't go out, I couldn't work, I wasn't allowed to read, I couldn't watch telly and I wasn't allowed to work in front of the computer, so all I had was the music. And I created THE DOOMSDAY KINGDOM, metal from the catacombs."
Edling on "Zodiac City": "This song is another one that I wrote back in 2014 when I was pretty sick, and it's about the Zodiac [the nickname given to an unidentified serial killer who operated in northern California in the late 1960s and early 1970s].
"In general, I don't like songs about serial killers, because there's way too many people glorifying them, but I really like the movie."
Edling won't be playing live with CANDLEMASS this year because he is "still burnt out."
CANDLEMASS will release a special 30th-anniversary EP titled "Death Thy Lover" on June 3 via Napalm. The four-track effort — which features Mats Levén on vocals — was recorded during September/October and will be made available as a four-page digipack, one-LP gatefold edition and one-LP gatefold webstore edition and old-school "skull-and-cross" slipmat. The cover artwork for the EP was created by Erik Rovanperä.
Edling's AVATARIUM project released its second album, "The Girl With The Raven Mask", in October 2015 via Nuclear Blast. The CD was released in North America as part of a joint licensing venture between Nuclear Blast and Metalville.

IHSAHN: 'DIAMANDA GALÁS's 'Plague Mass' Is Just As Black Metal As Any BATHORY Album'On March 19, Marin Soldatić of Metal Jacket Magazine conducted an interview with EMPEROR frontman Ihsahn (real name: Vegard Sverre Tveitan). You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.
Asked if he follows today's black metal scene and what his opinion is on it, Ihsahn said: "I don't really follow anything. [Laughs] I guess that was my problem, even at the start. I must admit that it was always my colleague Samoth [guitar] from EMPEROR who had the big network and connections and everything. And I've been kind of tagging along and focusing on doing the music and writing lyrics and all that."
He continued: "It's kind of paradox. I mean, this whole black metal scene, with all these rules and kind of fashion police [laughs] coming out from this very individualistic and free-thought type of philosophy. So, for me, I think, in my own mind, what I do now musically is still black metal. For me, it comes from the same source. So, to me, black metal is not a type of guitar sound played at this or this speed with screeching vocals. For me, black metal is an attitude and an atmosphere. For me, Diamanda Galás' 'Plague Mass' is just as black metal as any BATHORY album."
Ihsahn's sixth solo album, "Arktis", will be released on April 8. The effort will be available in standard CD, deluxe CD (featuring additional exclusive content), and vinyl formats via Candlelight Records. The album's first single, "Mass Darkness", is available via iTunes and Amazon. It is available for streaming now via Spotify. The Michael Dickinson-created (ORANGE GOBLIN, GALLOWS) lyric video for the song available can be seen below. "Arktis" was recorded at Ihsahn's studio in Notodden, Norway and was mixed in Sweden by Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA). The album features ten songs and is the longest and most spirited of Ihsahn's solo recordings. It features guest appearances from Einar Solberg (LEPROUS), Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM), Jorgen Munkeby (SHINING), Tobias Ornes Andersen (SHINING, ex-LEPROUS), and renowned Norwegian author Hans Herbjornsrud. Graphic elements for "Arktis" once again have been provided by award-winning Spanish designer Ritxi Ostariz. 39

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Feat. Ex-SLAYER Drummer DAVE LOMBARDO: Video Of New York City ConcertFormer SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo is sitting behind the kit for SUICIDAL TENDENCIES during the band's North American tour as the support act for MEGADETH.
Fan-filmed video footage of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' March 16 performance at Terminal 5 in New York City can be seen below.
SUICIDAL TENDENCIES frontman Mike Muir told The Bulletin about Lombardo's addition to the band: "Dave's a legend, you know. It's a little bit different than other things — people call him the godfather of the double-kick and bass and stuff. He just has an amazing intensity, but besides intensity, he just has a musical mindset that — he totally understands what we're doing and where we came from when we started, different, but at the same time and stuff. We've always kind of done shows together, this and that, been kind of close. He knows where he's coming from is the right place."
Lombardo made his live debut with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES on February 26 at Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Muir recently hinted at not one, but two follow-ups to the group's 2013 album "13" — an EP and a full-length — inspired by the current political climate and upcoming election. He did not reveal any information about these new releases, but implied that these may be the band's final recordings. However, he pointed out: "I thought the first one would probably be the last we would do, too."
"13" sold around 3,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 187 on The Billboard 200 chart. The first studio album in 13 years from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES was produced by vocalist Mike Muir and Grammy-nominated engineer/mixer Paul Northfield (DREAM THEATER, HOLE, RUSH). 7

Video: Reunited Original Lineup Of EXCITER Performs In MontrealVideo footage of the reunited original lineup of Canadian thrash metal pioneers EXCITER — guitarist John Ricci, drummer/vocalist Dan Beehler and bassist Allan Johnson — performing on March 18 at Foufounes Électriques in Montreal, Quebec, Canada can be seen below.
Speaking to the "Talking Metal" podcast in 2014, Ricci stated about how he mended fences with the other original members of EXCITER: "Well, we haven't even spoken about [the issues that caused to have a falling out back in the day]. [Laughs] When we had our [initial] meetings, those topics never even came up. We basically said, 'What happened in the past happened. It's water under the bridge.' But [before we had our initial meeting to discuss the reunion], I very rarely spoke to Allan. I mean, we had no reason to speak to each other for anything, really. But things happened through word of mouth and the media, and 'He said this' and 'He said that.' You don't know what to believe. I mean, are they actually saying things, or is it just fabricated? So at the time, that's the way I felt."
He continued: "I had no idea in 2014 we'd get back together. I'm completely surprised myself. But I think Dan and Allan — and I can't speak for them — they might have a certain level of frustration as well that they really wanted to get back with me and continue the music that we made. 'Cause the three of us have incredible chemistry when we play our instruments. A lot of great bands — I'm not saying we're a great, fantastic band — but a lot of classic rock and metal bands, they have incredible chemistry when you put certain individuals together. So I think Dan and Allan, over the years, realized that, and they probably thought, 'Let's get back together with John and just keep going, having fun and playing our music.'"
Asked if there is still a friendship between the original members of EXCITER or if they are working together purely as business partners, Ricci said: "Our first meeting, when we sat down, we did not discuss business, we just reminisced and talked about the old days and all the fun times that we had. 'Cause, I mean, we toured quite a bit. In 1985, we did a MOTÖRHEAD tour across the U.S., coast to coast, we also did a MEGADETH tour, coast to coast, we played shows with MERCYFUL FATE, we did a couple of shows in upstate New York with ANTHRAX when we were signed with Megaforce. We had a really good time and everything. So our first meeting was just four hours of… You know, we were sitting at a bar, just drinking beer and talking about the old times. So yeah, we're still friends."
He continued: "Our level of dedication to EXCITER, no one has ever questioned it. Yes, we have a difference of opinion on certain business issues, but when it comes to music, we're exactly on the same wavelength — like, our headspace is exactly the same, musically speaking. And it makes it so much easier when you're writing songs, that everyone recognizes everyone else's vision; you don't have to shove down their throat. But, I mean, on the other hand, for the past 20 years I've been continuing EXCITER, in most cases I handle all the band's business dealings. So the same thing will stay — I will be handling a lot of the business stuff. But because we're the original three guys, everyone's opinion counts when it's time to make decisions; I'm not just gonna be railroading those decisions — I'll ask Dan and I'll ask Al their opinion — and we'll move forward with whatever opinion we take."
The original EXCITER lineup recorded three classic albums in the 1980s — "Heavy Metal Maniac" (1983), "Violence & Force" (1984) and "Long Live the Loud" (1985) — before Ricci left he group and was replaced by Brian McPhee.
EXCITER's latest album, "Death Machine", which featured Ricci as the sole remaining original member, was released on October 29, 2010 via Massacre Records.

SLAYER's KERRY KING: 'I'm Still Putting Out Product That Looks And Sounds Great'In a brand new interview with Las Vegas Magazine, SLAYER guitarist Kerry King was asked if the band could have survived something like the death of co-founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman ten or twenty years ago. "It's hard to say," he responded. "This situation that we're in right now, everything just fell into place. In the face of tragedy, we just moved forward and it happened to work. I'm sure there are scenarios that could have come up where it didn't work. We powered through it, and we're a strong band now because of it. Playing live … it's tight, it sounds good. That's my biggest concern — we're super tight. Like I said earlier, to have my booking agent say it's one of the best shows he's ever seen, that says I'm doing something right.
King also talked about continuing to record and play SLAYER music live after passing the half-century mark. He said: "The funny thing for me, I think a 50-year-old when I was 20 is far different than a 50-year-old today. And it's not just because I'm 50. I think the times are very different. I can reflect on my parents because I was close to that. The lifestyle was so much more sedentary. There was watching TV and going to work; that was about it. I'm 50 now and I'm a far shot from the way my dad was when he was 50. Not only the perception is different, but I think lifestyle in general changes, and I think a 50-year-old is far more fit than they were 30 years ago. If you asked me when I was 20 if I'd still be playing when I was 50, I'd say absolutely not, but now here I am doing it at 51 and I feel great so far. I'm still putting out a product that looks and sounds great. Will I be playing when I'm 60? I don't know. Can't guarantee you. [Laughs] I don't know."
Gary Holt, who is still a member of San Francisco Bay Area thrash icons EXODUS, has been the touring guitarist for SLAYER since January 2011 when Hanneman contracted necrotizing fasciitis, also known as flesh-eating disease, from a spider bite in his backyard. The infection ravaged the flesh and tissues of Hanneman's arm, leading to numerous surgeries, skin grafts and intense periods of rehab that forced him into semi-retirement and left him near death at several points.
Holt did not contribute to the songwriting process on SLAYER's latest album, "Repentless", although he did lay down guitar solos on most of the album's twelve tracks.
Hanneman eventually died in May 2013 from alcohol-related cirrhosis of the liver. He is credited for writing many of SLAYER's classic songs, including "Angel Of Death" and "South Of Heaven". 52

Watch Official Video For ROB ZOMBIE's 'Well, Everybody's F**king In A U.F.O.'Rob Zombie's new album, "The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser", will be released on April 29 via UMe/T-Boy Records. The CD was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris and features Zombie alongside guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D and drummer Ginger Fish.
The official Danielle Lovett-produced video for the album's first single, "Well, Everybody's Fucking In A U.F.O.", can be seen below.
Says Rob Zombie: "This album is the best thing we've done to date, and we can't wait to share it with you. No, we mean it. It's the most fucked up thing we've ever done.
"We spent so much time putting this monster together and it's been worth it because this thing is about to explode!
"The album is out on April 29th, but there is a lot of shit going on in the lead-up to the release, so check out the pre-sale, get involved in the discussions and check back here for updates regularly! This bitch is moving forward FAST, and it's a train you don't want to fucking miss.
"Oh, and if you don't believe how fucked up this album is, take a look at the track listing below. Shit gets weird."
"The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser" track listing:
01. The Last Of The Demons Defeated02. Satanic Cyanide! The Killer Rocks On!03. The Life And Times Of A Teenage Rock God04. Well, Everybody's Fucking In A U.F.O.05. A Hearse Overturns With The Coffin Bursting Open06. The Hideous Exhibitions Of A Dedicated Gore Whore07. Medication For The Melancholy08. In The Age Of The Consecrated Vampire We All Get High09. Super-Doom-Hex-Gloom Part One10. In The Bone Pile11. Get Your Boots On! That's The End Of Rock And Roll12. Wurdalak
Rob Zombie spoke to Louder Noise about why he has held back the release of his new album even though the record was completed months ago. Zombie said: "It'll probably come out in [the spring], because what I wanna do is I wanna do a very large visual component to go with the record — shoot thirteen videos, or shoot a movie go with it. And because of [Zombie's upcoming sixth live-action feature film, a horror thriller called] '31', I couldn't get to that yet. So I'm gonna do that probably in January, so we'll put it out soon after that."
He continued: "I love it. I mean, I really like the record. The last record was my favorite record in a long time. 'Cause I had kind of hit a low with making records. It just kind of got boring; I hated being in the studio, and I kind of got reinspired on the last record. And this sort of follows up on it. So I think that, much like '31'… You just have those things in your career where you're, like, they all can't be the best one. With records, sometimes you have those moments where you can tell, 'This one's special.' And that's how it feels."
Zombie told Loudwire that the follow-up to 2013's "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" was recorded over the course of a year, with the band working for a few weeks, taking a break for a few months, then coming back. He said, "We were living with it for a long time, and it really — I think it made the record so much better."
Although Rob spends a lot of time making movies, he told The Pulse Of Radio a while back he's not ready to quit music yet. He said: "People go, 'How long can you do this, how long do you want to do this?' I want to do it as long as it's fun, because that's what it's supposed to be. I mean, I don't need the money, so I don't have to drag my ass out on tour just to make money. I'm all good there, so if it's not fun, it's nothing, it's just stupid, you know. And when you're not having fun, you're not gonna do good work. You're gonna seem like a miserable guy who's just doing it for the money, and I just never wanted to do that." 7

"Misadventures" is the follow up to the band's 2012 breakthrough release, "Collide With The Sky", that debuted at No. 12 on The Billboard 200 albums chart, held the No. 1 spot on the Rock, Hard Rock, and Modern Rock/Alternative Albums charts, has sold nearly 350,000 copies, and earned the band a gold single for the track "King For A Day".
The first single from "Misadventures" will be "Texas Is Forever", a punk-flavored song that goes back to the band's roots, and, according to the band, is a song that begs to be played live. It also happens to be the fastest song they've ever written. "Texas Is Forever" will be released on March 24.
For "Misadventures", the band — Vic Fuentes (vocals, guitar), Tony Perry (guitar), Jaime Preciado (bass) and Mike Fuentes (drums) — worked again with Dan Korneff who co-produced "Collide" and recorded at his Long Island studio Sonic Debris on and off between summer 2014 and summer 2015. "It was exciting to do another record with Dan," said Vic. "We had gotten to know him really well on 'Collide', so there wasn't that initial period where you're trying to get to know each other. We just dove in and started to make music right away."
Initial plans were for "Misadventures" to be released earlier, but touring commitments and the band's conscious decision to take their time to make the album the very best it could be, both musically and lyrically, set a different course. Explained Vic, "We went into this record wanting to top the last one, which we try to do with every record, and we kept setting the bar higher and higher."
Vic's search for inspiration took him to a number of places to write the lyrics — New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, the Southern California mountain resort of Big Bear, Santa Barbara and Seattle. "I wanted every song to have real meaning, and thought that in spending time in different places, I'd find new inspirations — that's exactly what happened," he said.
The eleven songs on "Misadventures" find the band dealing with a variety of topics including self-worth and an individual's ability to shine, the dream of leaving everything behind while you run away with the one you truly love, the challenge of outrunning betrayal, an undefined relationship, and the horror of the 2015 Paris attacks told from a hypothesized point of view.
The track listing for "Misadventures" is as follows:
01. Dive In02. Texas Is Forever03. The Divine Zero04. Floral & Fading05. Phantom Power And Ludicrous Speed06. Circles07. Today I Saw The Whole World08. Gold Medal Ribbon09. Bedless10. Sambuka11. Song For Isabelle

SLAYER's TOM ARAYA Says JEFF HANNEMAN Would Have Been Proud Of 'Repentless' AlbumIn a brand new interview with Loudwire, SLAYER frontman Tom Araya was asked if he thinks the band's late guitarist, Jeff Hanneman, would have been proud of SLAYER's new album, "Repentless". He responded (see video below): "Yeah, I think he would have. When we first started [putting ideas together for 'Repentless']… They were demoing [music for the album] a while ago. And Jeff was around, and I kept telling him, 'Dude, you need to listen to some of the stuff. Help out here.' And he'd show up to rehearsals and he'd listen and he'd leave. But I kept telling him, 'You've gotta put your hands in this, because you can make things sound really good.' So when we went into the studio after he passed, I was a little apprehensive, because SLAYER is a combination of the two of them [Hanneman and guitarist Kerry King] putting music ideas together, and so it was, really, to me… I felt it would be really lopsided, because SLAYER has two sounds: really aggressive and fast, but also aggressive and slow. So we started recording the songs and working on the ideas, and the more and more I worked on the vocal aspects of the songs, they started coming together. I was, like, 'Okay, this sounds good. This is okay. This is good.' And then when we were coming towards the end, and I would listen to everything, I thought, 'Okay, this is SLAYER. This, to me, is SLAYER. This is gonna be good.' So I figured once I could hear that, I knew that everybody would be okay with it. 'Cause I'm a fan, and, you know, I wasn't sure how things would turn out with Jeff not being present. But it sounded really, really good. It came out the way I'd hoped it would."
Holt did not contribute to the songwriting process on "Repentless", although he did lay down guitar solos on most of the album's twelve tracks.
Hanneman eventually died in May 2013 from alcohol-related cirrhosis of the liver. He is credited for writing many of SLAYER's classic songs, including "Angel Of Death" and "South Of Heaven".
Hanneman's last appearance with SLAYER was in April 2011, when he played an encore with the band at the "Big Four" concert in Indio, California. 57

METAL CHURCH: Official Lyric Video For 'Reset' SongThe official lyric video for "Reset", a brand new song from hard rock titans METAL CHURCH, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "XI", which will be released on March 25 via Rat Pak Records. Produced by Kurdt Vanderhoof and co-produced by Chris "The Wizard" Collier, the band's eleventh studio release also marks the return of legendary vocalist and frontman Mike Howe.
The reunion between Mike and METAL CHURCH was put in motion in July of 2014 when Mike started working with Kurdt Vanderhoof on a side project he was forming with Nigel Glockler from SAXON. Through these initial conversations, Kurdt convinced Mike to ultimately return to METAL CHURCH. The idea was to see if they could recapture some of the magic from the three albums METAL CHURCH released in the late '80s: "The Human Factor", "Blessing In Disguise" and "Hanging In The Balance". Out of those sessions, "XI" was born and captures the sound that made the band fan-favorites in the '80's and mixes it with a new, invigorated sound for 2016. Said Mike: "Kurdt Vanderhoof got ahold of me in August of 2014, and he proposed [me] coming back to the band. He said Ronny [Munroe] left the band and he didn't really wanna carry on with METAL CHURCH unless maybe I would consider coming back. So I said, 'Well, I don't know. I'm open to it. But let's see what kind of music we can come up with.' So Kurdt went back to the studio and started writing songs in the vein of 'Hanging In The Balance', where we left off twenty years ago, and he sent them to me over the Internet. And I was, like, 'Damn! The guy still has it and he's doing great work.' So he sent me another batch, and that batch was just as good [as], if not better than, the other. So, from there, I said, ‘Well, I can’t say no to this. And let's just see how it goes.' And we started writing lyrics and getting together, and it's now morphed into this, being back in Aberdeen in the studio making the new METAL CHURCH record." "XI" track listing: 01. Reset02. Killing Your Time03. No Tomorrow04. Signal Path05. Sky Falls In06. Needle & Suture07. Shadow08. Blow Your Mind09. Soul Eating Machine10. It Waits11. Suffer Fools METAL CHURCH 2016 is:
Mike Howe (vocals)Kurdt Vanderhoof (guitar)Jeff Plate (drums)Steve Unger (bass)Rick VanZandt (guitar)
TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA and SAVATAGE guitarist Chris Caffery will fill in for METAL CHURCH's Rick Van Zandt on the latter band's upcoming U.S. tour, which commences March 24 in Portland, Maine. Rick had to go in for emergency eye surgery to repair a detached retina and will be unable to join the group on the road for several weeks. 4

KISS To Rock Movie Theaters Worldwide With New Concert Film 'KISS Rocks Vegas'Back in November 2014, the helicopter descended upon the infamous Hard Rock Hotel as KISS invaded Las Vegas for an historic nine-show run. Now, for one night only on May 25, fans will be able to experience this spectacular night for themselves as "Kiss Rocks Vegas" hits cinemas across the globe. From this blistering live show, fans can expect sky high flames, ear-bursting volume and a few drops of blood! Includes exclusive interviews with band and footage you will only see in the cinema.
Famed for their iconic face paint and stage attire, KISS was formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar). Their sensational live performances feature fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics to spare. Tommy Thayer (lead guitar, vocals) and Eric Singer (drums, percussion, vocals) round out the band's powerful lineup. Tommy is also producer of the film "Kiss Rocks Vegas".
Said Stanley: "See us on the big screen with the awesome power of Surround Sound. Feel like you are in Vegas and don't be shy to 'shout it out loud!'"
Added Simmons: "Jin us for a 'crazy crazy night' in your cinema!”
Stated Thayer: "We are all tremendously proud of this production; it captures a truly unique performance. You need to see it in a cinema to get the full on experience."
Said Singer: "We rocked The Joint at Hard Rock in Las Vegas. You get up close and personal with KISS. You're going to love it."
A select number of cinemas worldwide will also be screening the concert in Dolby Atmos, providing a powerfully immersive and moving audio experience for the cinema audience.
For more information and to book tickets for the cinema event please visit www.kissmycinema.com.
Speaking to Las Vegas Weekly, Stanley stated about how the idea for the KISS residency came about: "To spend as much time as we do in Vegas and to live as close as we do, the idea of doing a residency and leaving our stage setup, as opposed to breaking it down nightly, was really appealing."
He continued: "We just finished 42 cities and played for 600,000 people, but that meant that every night the show got disassembled and moved. There’s something appealing and challenging about building a set that doesn’t have to be moved. You don't have to take into account the practicality of it, being able to be broken down constantly and reassembled. So this was something that we had wanted to do for quite a while; it was just a matter of making sure we found people who were in agreement on how to do it. The Joint was the natural place to do it."

IRON MAIDEN's world tour, in support of the band's latest album, "The Book Of Souls", kicked off on February 24 in Sunrise, Florida (a suburb of Fort Lauderdale).
Support on the trek is coming from THE RAVEN AGE, the band led by IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris's son George Harris.
MAIDEN's sixteenth — and first-ever double — studio album, "The Book Of Souls", was released worldwide on September 4, 2015 through Parlophone Records (BMG in the U.S.A). The CD was recorded in Paris, France with producer Kevin "Caveman" Shirley in late 2014, with the finishing touches added last year.
IRON MAIDEN announced in May 2015 that touring plans to support the album wouldn't happen until this year to allow Dickinson time to fully recuperate after his successful cancer treatment.
"What's special about this tour is that a year ago I didn't even know if I could sing," Dickinson told reporters last month. "We've had an amazing turnaround in fortune after, obviously being ill a year ago, getting rid of that, and getting out and looking forward to doing the tour."
Regarding the fan reception to the new CD and the current tour, Dickinson said: "The album was a massive success, and we were about that far [finger and thumb barely separated] off from getting the No. 1 slot [in its debut week on The Billboard 200 chart]. So now, we get to bring it out to the people, and, I mean, there's a few tickets left but not many. Pretty much the whole of the U.S. is sold out. It's amazing." 4

MAYHEM To Be Rejoined By Singer MANIAC For SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL PerformanceNorwegian black metallers MAYHEM will be rejoined by singer Sven Erik "Maniac" Kristensen for their appearance at this year's Sweden Rock Festival, set to take place June 8-11 in Sölvesborg, Sweden.
According to Wikipedia, Kristiansen joined MAYHEM in 1986 after the departure of the band's original vocalist, Messiah. He was in the band until 1988, when he was replaced by Kittil. When drummer Hellhammer decided to revive MAYHEM in 1995 after the deaths of both Euronymous and Dead and the imprisonment of Count Grishnakh, he invited Maniac to return as the band's vocalist.
Maniac was known for giving extremely intense live performances. He would often cut himself onstage, frequently landing him in intensive care units. However, he later said, "When we realized that the cutting had become a phenomenon people came to watch, I quit doing it."
Maniac was in MAYHEM until 2004 when he was forced to leave. MAYHEM bassist Necrobutcher (real name: Jørn Stubberud) later told Decibel magazine: "To be honest, Maniac fucked it all up in the end with too much alcohol and too little rehearsing."
In 2004, Maniac was replaced in MAYHEM by Attila Csihar (TORMENTOR, ABORYM), who previously fronted the band on their 1993 album, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas".

WESTFIELD MASSACRE Feat. Ex-SNOT/DIVINE HERESY Singer TOMMY VEXT: 'Build Your Thrones' Video Released"Build Your Thrones", the new video from WESTFIELD MASSACRE, the Los Angeles-based band featuring former DIVINE HERESY and SNOT singer Tommy Vext, can be seen below. The clip was directed by the Stephen Steelman of Brigantine Films and perfectly captures the band's live performance ferocity mixed with an eye-popping storyline that will quickly suck you in.
"Build Your Thrones" is taken from WESTFIELD MASSACRE's self-titled debut album, which is due on April 29 via Urban Yeti Records. The CD was recorded at Echelon Studios with producer Joseph McQueen.
Said Vext: "We aspired to make this [WESTFIELD MASSACRE] something theatrical and brought in very talented people to work on the album, the artwork and the music videos, which will be a short film trilogy."
He continued: "I just wanted to take the music and make something bigger than just another metal band."
Regarding WESTFIELD MASSACRE's musical direction, Vext said: "There's definitely a traditional American metal vibe, but we blend power metal, melodic death metal, metalcore all together to get an original flavor to our sound."
Commenting on his choice of joining forces with an independent label like Urban Yeti, Vext said: "Signing with Urban Yeti has been an exciting experience. I try to go by a few rules in life. One of which is to go where the love is. I shared my vision with them and they were excited about it."
He added: "Urban Yeti has really amazing ideas and approaches to getting our music out to an audience that will understand and support it. They are thinking outside the box. I want to be a part of that kind of thinking."
WESTFIELD MASSACRE in 2014 released a video for the song "Darkness Divides". At the time, the band's lineup included former DIVINE HERESY and MORBID ANGEL drummer Tim Yeung alongside guitarists Bill Hudson and Rick Di Marco.
Regarding how WESTFIELD MASSACRE came up with its name, Vext told Metal Injection: "The WESTFIELD MASSACRE is a name I had come up with for a graphic novel idea. Coincidentally it turned out to also be the name of an episode of 'American Horror Story'. In their episode, Westfield High is the stage for a school shooting."
WESTFIELD MASSACRE 2016 is:

OTEP: New Song 'In Cold Blood' Available For Streaming"In Cold Blood", a brand new song from OTEP, the band led by singer, poet, illustrator, author and activist Otep Shamaya, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the group's seventh studio album, "Generation Doom", which will be released on April 15 via Napalm. The CD was produced by Howard Benson, who has previously worked with such acts as MOTÖRHEAD, PAPA ROACH, THREE DAYS GRACE, FLYLEAF, P.O.D. and HALESTORM.
Said Shamaya about the song: "There are nights I think of you. Suffering in the sweet amnesia of nostalgia. Then I remember the cold loneliness of being by your side and I hear my own voice whispering in the night, 'There's something wrong with me for thinking something's right with you. In cold blood. In cold blood.' This bit of writing created the song 'In Cold Blood'. It was really hard to share something so private and personal but I'm glad I did."
"Generation Doom" track listing:
01. Zero02. Feeding Frenzy03. Lords Of War04. Royals (LORDE cover)05. In Cold Blood06. Down07. God Is A Gun08. Equal Rights, Equal Lefts09. No Color10. Lie11. Generation Doom12. On The Shore
With Shamaya's multifaceted vocal approach, from gut-wrenching roars to soft seductive poetry to singing with a surprisingly magically beautiful voice, to her evolution as a writer and story teller, "Generation Doom" erupts with thunderous, punishing grooves that harmoniously detonate into dark industrial fury with magma flows of hard rock melodies that seamlessly shape shift into a mysterious musical beast we've just discovered.
Speaking about the current lineup of OTEP, Shamaya said, "These are the most talented group of musicians I've ever worked with. We are a family. These are my brothers in arms. My guitarist Aristotle and I have a spiritual connection on an alchemical level that's preternaturally conducive to creativity. Along with my amazing drummer Justin Kier and bassist Corey Wolford, we are a force of nature and resistance fighters. Music is our weapon. They believe in what we're doing, what we stand for, and have the utmost affection and respect for our fans, the OTEP tribe."
OTEP will embark on the "Generation Doom" tour in April. Support on the trek, which kicks off April in 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada and runs through May 28 in West Hollywood, California, will come from Lacey Sturm (ex-FLYLEAF), SEPTEMBER MOURNING, THROUGH FIRE and DOLL SKIN. OTEP was formed in Los Angeles in 2000 and immediately signed to Capitol Records, an achievement based solely on the strength of its live performance. They were selected to appear at Ozzfest after Sharon Osbourne witnessed one of these incendiary performances. Their debut at Ozzfest was only their ninth live show, a major achievement for any band. It would be the kick-off for a career spanning 15 years. 1

Listen To New ROB ZOMBIE Song 'The Hideous Exhibitions Of A Dedicated Gore Whore'Rob Zombie's new album, "The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser", will be released on April 29 via UMe/T-Boy Records. The CD was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris and features Zombie alongside guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D and drummer Ginger Fish.
The song "The Hideous Exhibitions Of A Dedicated Gore Whore", taken from "The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser", can be streamed below.
You're gonna seem like a miserable guy who's just doing it for the money, and I just never wanted to do that." 1

TREMONTI: Official Lyric Video For 'Dust' Title TrackThe official lyric video for "Dust", the title track of the third album from TREMONTI, the band led by CREED and ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti, can be seen below. The CD will be released on April 29 via Fret 12.
"Dust", which was recorded during same sessions as "Cauterize", features Mark Tremonti on vocals/guitars, Eric Friedman on guitars, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and Garrett Whitlock on drums. Longtime friend and collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette produced "Dust".
To coincide with the announcement of "Dust", several exclusive fan bundle pre-orders are now available at this location. These bundles include autographed CDs, t-shirts, hoodies, and other exciting experiences for the TREMONTI fan.
"Dust" track listing: 01. My Last Mistake02. The Cage03. Once Dead04. Dust05. Betray Me06. Tore My Heart Out07. Catching Fire08. Never Wrong09. Rising Storm10. Unable To See
TREMONTI released its second album, "Cauterize", last June. "Cauterize" followed up TREMONTI's 2012 debut, "All I Was", and was the first of two new albums that TREMONTI recorded.
Mark Tremonti told The Pulse Of Radio that both "Dust" and "Cauterize" feature the same level of quality material. "We went in there with the goal of recording twenty songs, and then when it came time to release the songs, I didn't want to put thirteen songs on one record and then have seven B-sides," he said. "I wanted all these songs to be thought of as songs that were meant to be on an album. None of these are throwaway songs. So we cut 'em into two ten-song albums that are kind of two dynamic records. If there was two chill songs, one would go on the first, one would go on the second and so on."
Mark elaborated in a separate interview: "At first I just wanted to record as many songs as possible. But when I stepped back and listened to it, I was, like, 'You know what?! Let's make two records.' So I left some of my favorite songs on the second record, just so people aren't gonna buy the first record and then go, 'Okay, this is the good record and this is the bad one. These are the bad songs.' My brother Dan likes the second record better than the first record. Some of my favorite songs are on the second record. The title track, 'Dust', I think, has the best chorus of the whole recording process. 'Dust' has my favorite solo. The opening track, 'My Last Mistake', is one of my favorite songs. It's got the big ballad of the two records. It's definitely not the 'b-sides' of this album."
Although VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen was part of TREMONTI's touring band in 2013 and played on "Dust" and "Cauterize", he sat out TREMONTI's tour schedule because of commitments with VAN HALEN.
TREMONTI recruited Tanner Keegan to play bass on its most recent tour. 2

The track is taken fromthe band's seventh studio album, "Trust No One", which will be released on May 13 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2013's "Winter Kills" was once again produced by Mark Lewis (ARSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE, SIX FEET UNDER) with assistance from Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL). The new CD marks the group's first release since the departures of guitarist Jeff Kendrick and drummer John Boecklin and addition of axeman Neal Tiemann and former CHIMAIRA sticksman Austin D'Amond. Comments DEVILDRIVER singer Dez Fafara: "This song is about not fearing the unknown, and never giving up in life no matter what life throws at you, learning to hold your head high through even the darkest of times."
Adds guitarist Mike Spreitzer: "'Daybreak' is the first song that our new guitarist Neal brought to the table early in the writing process. He had a great deal of tunes to show me when he first joined the band. After listening to all of them, 'Daybreak' was the first one that I felt deserved a place on the record."
"Trust No One" track listing:
01. Testimony of Truth02. Bad Deeds03. My Night Sky04. This Deception05. Above It All06. Daybreak07. Trust No One08. Feeling Ungodly09. Retribution10. For What It's Worth
Said Fafara: "'Trust No One' is a vicious record filled with huge grooves and big hooks, guitar bass assery and thundering drums!Lyrically it goes to a realistic space exploring a ton of different emotion and headspaces regarding being human and what it means to exist. The band worked long hours writing as well as in the studio along with our producer to forge 'Trust No One'! I hope you turn it the fuck up and enjoy this record from start to finish!"
Added Spreitzer: "'Trust No One' is the record that I’ve been wanting to write for twelve years."
DEVILDRIVER recently tapped former WAYNE STATIC guitarist Diego Ibarra (a.k.a. Ashes) to play bass on its upcoming tour, which kicks off at the end of next month.
Ibarra joins DEVILDRIVER as the replacement for former BURY YOUR DEAD guitarist Chris Towning, who appeared on the Dez Fafara-fronted band's 2013 album "Winter Kills".
DEVILDRIVER will be touring non-stop this year in support of its new album, "Trust No One". In addition to its already announced tour alongside HATEBREED, DEVIL YOU KNOW and ACT OF DEFIANCE, DEVILDRIVER has confirmed a string of North American headline dates. The first run starts prior to the HATEBREED tour and kicks off April 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada and wraps May 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Following the tour with HATEBREED that runs from May 13 in Cleveland, Ohio through June 11 in New Haven, Connecticut, DEVILDRIVER will have another string of headline shows starting July 13 in Columbus, Ohio and going through June 18 in San Diego, California.
Boecklin and Kendrick played their last show with DEVILDRIVER as part of the 2014 Knotfest in Devore, California.

ZAKK WYLDE Performs Book Of Shadows II Track “Autumn Changes” On Hello Kitty Guitar; VideoZakk Wylde will release Book Of Shadows II on April 8th, via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music), his first solo release in 20 years. This release is the highly anticipated follow up to 1996’s Book Of Shadows LP, a classic album Wylde released between his work with Ozzy Osbourne that has since become a fan favourite.
In this new video from Loudwire, Zakk performs an unplugged version of the album track “Autumn Changes” on a Hello Kitty guitar:
The fearlessly introspective melancholy and melody of Book Of Shadows helped to make its follow-up one of Rolling Stone’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2016. As fierce and diverse as his work in Black Label Society and as large as his accomplishments as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne have been, Book Of Shadows II offers an even richer look into the spirit and psyche of one of the most beloved pillars of the hard rock community. Brand new tracks like “Sleeping Dogs”, “Tears Of December”, “Darkest Hour”, “Harbors Of Pity”, and “The King” are bold proclamations of intense feeling and powerful catharsis.
Zakk Wylde’s powerful pipes, mayhem-inducing charisma, mischievous humor, and instantly recognizable pinch-harmonic driven blues based histrionic guitar shredding have made him the world’s most beloved American Guitar Hero.
Tracklisting:
"Autumn Changes"
"Tears Of December"
"Lay Me Down"
"Lost Prayer"
"Darkest Hour"
"The Levee"

DEATHCROWN Featuring IRON REAGAN / Ex-DARKEST HOUR Drummer Ryan Parrish Launch Living Hell EP TrailerDeathcrown are the new, but very old-school, death metal outfit from Richmond, VA. The band includes veteran skins-basher Ryan Parrish (Iron Reagan, ex-Darkest Hour), and seasoned frontman Mikael Parks (former touring vocalist for Arsis), and is rounded out by a group of equally brutal dudes. Their sound is visceral to the original death metal scenes from both Stockholm, Sweden and Tampa, Florida, while retaining it's own originality and attitude.
These guys are not a group of young kids trying to imitate a long-lost sound. The men of Deathcrown are the genuine article. They were buying records like Entombed's Left Hand Path and Morbid Angel's Blessed Are The Sick at the time of their release. Their bands were opening for Grave and Dismember in the '90's. All they've done here is dig up their own filthy, rotting roots, in order to return to their love of brutal, simple, heavy death metal.
Deathcrown's debut EP, Living Hell, will be released via Primitive Ways Records (first, on cassette), as well as in a digital format on June 17th. The band is also gearing up to play a string of summer shows in conjunction with the EP's release. Check out an EP trailer below:
Deathcrown is:
Mikael Parks (Vocals)
Jake Vanderband (Guitar)
Tommy Gunn (Guitar)
David James (Bass)
Ryan Parrish (Drums)
