Video Premiere: KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's 'Cut Me Loose'"Cut Me Loose", the new video from Massachusetts-based metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's seventh album, "Incarnate", which will be released on March 11 via Roadrunner.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Jesse Leach stated about the track: "This song is about finding wisdom and understanding through suffering. Oftentimes we don't realize how far we have come until we reflect back on the past. The past is a story we tell ourselves and often times that story can be difficult to recount. The burdens we carry, whether it be past mistakes or regrets, can act as a noose inhibiting our growth and progression. There comes a time when we must release the bondage of our burdens and making peace with the demons and darkness of the past. Setting the albatross of regret free and moving on in life, if you will."
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist and producer Adam Dutkiewicz recently told Revolver magazine that Leach "hit a wall with ideas" during the songwriting process for "Incarnate" after completing the first three or four songs in the studio. "He couldn't find lyrics he was really stoked on," Adam explained. "But Jesse's a great lyricist and a great songwriter, so I just told him, 'Keep writing, and when you hit on something that inspires you, bring it to me.'"
Leach, for his part, admitted that he struggled for a bit. "It did take me a little longer," he said. "But we're at this stage now with our band where we can't be phoning it in. If you really care about your music and you care about your career and your fans, you've gotta give 'em everything you've got. And so I came to a point where this album literally drove me crazy. My wife can attest to that. There were a good couple of weeks where I wasn't myself. I just got lost in the process, because I wanted this record to be everything it could be. I was losing sleep, not sleeping at all, and waking up in the middle of the night and sitting down and writing pages and pages and pages of words. By the time all was said and done, I probably had 80 pages of lyrics. I just wanted to give it everything I could, vocally and lyrically."
Leach told Revolver about the "Incarnate" title: "The definition of incarnate is 'in the flesh.' And this record is who we are right now. Whereas [2013's] 'Disarm The Descent' was sort of my 'comeback' album, and was about us feeling out the new vibe. But now, after spending a few years traveling the world together, I think we're all in a really comfortable place. We definitely have a strong sense of self as to who we are as a band
The band will embark on a North American headline tour shortly after the new album's release. They will be joined by MEMPHIS MAY FIRE and 36 CRAZYFISTS for the trek, which runs from March 16 in San Antonio, Texas to April 24 near Charleston, South Carolina. 3

DISSONA Cover JOHNNY CASH Classic "Ring Of Fire"; Audio AvailableChicago's progressive metal masterminds Dissona meld a dynamic range of musical styles, developing an incredibly moving, diverse sound. Their new album Paleopneumatic is out now.
During the recording process the band set up a Pledge Music Campaign, where the highest backers could request a cover song recorded by Dissona. For the first cover song, the band was requested to do Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire". The exclusive cover can now be heard via the YouTube clip below.
While "Ring Of Fire" does not appear on Paleopneumatic, it is the band's most ambitious release to date, epitomizing Dissona's endeavors to date. It brings the listener on an existential, cohesive journey with gripping melodies, expertly-crafted arrangements, and impassioned vocals.
Since Dissona's inception, they have approached writing music to always be experienced as an album, a package of disparate influences and moods meant to achieve a unified whole. This melting pot of influences has gradually coalesced since the writing of their earliest material, through the defining Dissona album, and now into its most complete form with Paleopneumatic.

NILEXISTENCE - New York Death Metallers To Release Debut In March; “Primordial Transgression” Lyric Video StreamingMoravia, NY-based death metallers, NilExistence, will release their debut album, Existence In Revelation, on March 25th. The album includes a 12-page booklet with artwork by Seth Siro Anton (Septicflesh), and was mixed/mastered at Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Decapitated, Vader) by the Wiesławski brothers in Poland. Pre-orders at this location.
Drummer/vocalist Kyle Kratzer (ex-Disfigured Dead) had this to say about the album title and lyrical content: "Existence In Revelation is based on the life experiences that have affected Dave Gruver (guitar/vocals) and myself during the writing period. The idea behind the title comes from how I personally felt when in the midst of a darker period. When one finds himself in a "revelation" type state, they have a few choices in which to handle the new information or realization they discovered; they may take the newly acquired knowledge and expand upon their problem/life, take nothing from the experience and brush it off, or stay stuck in the revelation itself (which is the route explored on the album.) As if in a bubble, one neither acts nor fails to act upon the new knowlegde, but instead remains within the revelation (bubble). The lyrics are based upon what I saw and learned within this revelation."
Tracklisting:

RITCHIE BLACKMORE Says DEEP PURPLE Manager Won't Let Him Attend ROCK HALL InductionRitchie Blackmore says that he has been prevented from attending DEEP PURPLE's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction by the band's manager.
In a statement, the PURPLE co-founder claims that Bruce Payne has asked for the guitarist to be excluded from the ceremony in April.
Blackmore writes in a post on his Facebook page: "Ritchie was honored by the offer of induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He was discussing the possibility of attending, until we received correspondence from the president of the Hall Of Fame, who said that Bruce Payne, management for the current DEEP PURPLE touring band, had said 'No.' Therefore Ritchie will not be attending the ceremony. He sincerely thanks all the fans that voted for him for their support."
The DEEP PURPLE members that are being inducted are: Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, Rod Evans, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Glenn Hughes, Jon Lord and Ian Paice.
Paice recently said that any decision regarding a possible performance at the induction ceremony will have to be made with the blessings of all the current members. "We don't have salaried guys with [keyboardist] Don [Airey] and [guitarist] Steve [Morse]. They are fully accredited members of the band and they share in everything, and into decisions as well. They will have to be consulted and see how they feel about anything that the three of us originals think we would or wouldn't like to do."
This year's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will take place on April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
HBO will air this year's ceremony on a soon-to-be-announced date in late April. 28

Ritchie Blackmore’s RAINBOW At Castle Donington 1980; Rare Video StreamingStreaming below is rare footage of Ritchie Blackmore with Rainbow at Castle Donington in 1980. It was a massive moment for the band, but incredibly turned out to be Cozy Powell and Graham Bonnet's final performances with Rainbow.
Rainbow will be back to the stages of rock in 2016. Two shows in Germany are confirmed, taking place at the Monsters Of Rock Festival 2016 on June 18th and Loreley, Freilichtbühneon on June 17th. A UK date has also been confirmed. It will take place on Saturday, June 25th at Genting Arena in Birmingham, England.
Blackmore has revealed his band lineup for these exclusive shows, which will include singer Ronnie Romero, keyboardist Jens Johansson (Stratovarius), drummer David Keith (Blackmore’s Night) and bassist Bob Nouveau. The first official band photo can be viewed below:
Blackmore recently spoke with Billboard.com about these special shows:
“I’m now 70, so I just felt like playing some rock ‘n’ roll for a few days. We’re going to do four or five dates of just playing the old rock stuff, Purple stuff and Rainbow. I’m doing it for the fans, for nostalgia, and the singer I found is very exciting; he’s a cross between Dio meets Freddie Mercury. So this will mean exposing a new singer to the masses, and I’m sure he’ll become pretty famous because of his voice.”

THE DEFIANTS Featuring Former DANGER DANGER Members To Release Debut Album In AprilThe Defiants will release their self-titled debut album on April 15th. The Defiants is a new band put together by Paul Laine, Bruno Ravel and Rob Marcello - three fabulous musicians, all with ties to the great hard rock band Danger Danger.
Best known for being Danger Danger's frontman for a 12 year stint from 1992-2004, which included four studio albums, Paul Laine is now coming back to work with his former bandmates Bruno Ravel and Rob Marcello, who are the other two pillars of The Defiants.
The guys got back together under suggestion of Frontiers' President, Serafino Perugino, who really wanted to offer the fans a chance to hear some new music from these guys. The resulting album is an extremely exciting affair which is going to please not only D2 fans, but also all the ones who are into the classic sound from the glory days of rock in the '80s and '90s.
Paul Laine says: "From the moment Bruno and I started writing together,we knew we had something special. It's been my experience that when the writing process is effortless, you've trapped lightning in a bottle...within the first 2 1/2 months, we had close to 40 ideas up on the board. I think it surprised both of us how intuitive we were of each others ideas. I'm very proud of this record, and it feels good to let loose on an album of complete stadium rockers. Rob Marcello, I consider to be one of the biggest talents in the world of modern guitar players. I love how much he shines on this record, and from track to track, I couldn't wait to hear what he had to say musically. On a personal note, it feels good to hit another musical and writing milestone with this album. It was very hard to choose the material for this record, and its exciting to know that there are still bullets left in the chamber that nobody has heard yet..."
Bruno Ravel adds: "I'm so stoked for you all to hear this record! It was so much fun to create, and that feeling will be very evident once you give it a listen. Paul and Rob poured every bit of themselves into these tracks, and their performances were just ridiculous! Add that to the aggressive killer drum pounding that only my good buddy, Van Romaine could deliver, and you have what equals a bonafide rock 'n' roll roller coaster! Strap yourselves in folks! And get ready for the ride!"
The Defiants is a glorious return to the "in your face" melodic hard rock that won millions of fans back in the '80s and '90s and is currently enjoying a well deserved revival in the 21st century.
The Defiants are set to appear live at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Trezzo (Milano), Italy on April 24th, where the band will perform classic tracks from Paul Laine's solo career, some Danger Danger hits (of course) and songs off The Defiants debut.
The Defiants tracklisting:
“Intro (For A Few Dollars More - Carillon's Theme)”
“Love And Bullets”
“When The Lights Go Down”
“Waiting On A Heartbreak”

DOOGIE WHITE & LA PAZ Streaming “Light The Fire” Lyric Video From Upcoming Shut Up And Rawk! AlbumBritish band Doogie White & La Paz return this April with a brand new studio album entitled Shut Up And Rawk! The official lyric video for “Light The Fire”, the first single taken from the album, can be seen below.
Almost immediately after their previous offering, The Dark And The Light (2013) had been released, Chic McSherry and Doogie White started writing new material. A total of 17 ideas were demo’d with 11 of them finally being crafted into songs for a new album. Recording could only be done in stages because of other commitments, but in many ways that extra time allowed the songs to develop and mature into a very powerful rock album, entitled Shut Up And Rawk!, which is due for a worldwide release by Metal Mind Productions on April 8th.
Today the band reveal cover artwork and tracklisting of their new album. The front cover was designed by Jarosław Wieczorek. “I was trying to go for a bit of a tongue-in-cheek approach. Basically, I was aiming for an interplay between this sort of a charismatic shout-out in the album's title and the sedate, a bit clichéd image of a psychiatrist's session. I wanted the cover not so much to be a graphic representation of the title as to be one with it and, as a whole, to make for a kind of a joke.” – Wieczorek comments.
Tracklisting:
“Light The Fire”
“Heart Of Stone”
“No Place In Heaven”
“The Revenge Of El Guapo”
“A Certain Song”
“Retribution Blues”
“Daughter Of Time”
“The Prize”
“Faith Hope And Love”
“Throw Me To The Wolves”
“Miss Dynamite”
“Book Of Shadows”
“Light The Fire” lyric video:
The album has been mixed and mastered by Rolf Munkes at Empire Studios in Frankfurt, Germany.
La Paz lineup:
Doogie White - vocal
Chic McSherry - guitar
Alex Carmichael - bass
Andy Mason - keyboards
Paul McManus - drums

MOTÖRHEAD's MIKKEY DEE: 'LEMMY Told Me He'd Fire Me If I Tried Drugs'The February issue of Sweden Rock Magazine is dedicated to iconic MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, who died in December at the age of 70. In addition to receiving a MOTÖRHEAD t-shirt, new subscribers of the magazine can read stories about the legendary musician as told by his friends, crew and fellow musicians over 39 pages.
A month after Lemmy passed away, Sweden Rock Magazine met drummer Mikkey Dee in his hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden to discuss the death of his bandmate and friend and Mikkey's plans for the future. Excerpts from the in-depth interview (6,400 words over nine pages) — translated exclusively for BLABBERMOUTH.NET — follow below.
On what affected him the most during Lemmy's memorial service:
Mikkey: "Seeing Lemmy's empty boots up there. In the middle they'd placed some pictures and his hat, but just seeing his boots standing there. Empty. I know how much his boots meant to him. He was wearing them all the time. He didn't feel comfortable if he wasn't wearing his boots. And there they were, empty, and then it all hit me… That was really hard to look at. Then, of course, it was hard listening to the speeches. A lot of people broke down crying. Dave Grohl had a hard time [not crying]. It was almost a good thing Phil [Campbell, MOTÖRHEAD guitarist] wasn't there — he probably wouldn't have be able to handle it."
On whether Lemmy continued using speed until his death:
Mikkey: "I don't know if I want to sit here and say what he was and wasn't doing. I can say this: he quit doing everything for quite a long while, because he was actually shocked when he became ill [in 2013]. I just know that he told me: 'The day you try drugs, you're fucking fired.' [Laughs] I've never tried drugs. I drink my beer, but he made sure that I would never try drugs. If I'd done that, the whole thing would've crashed."
On arguing with Lemmy:
Mikkey: "Many years ago, I replaced his regular Coke in the dressing room with Cola Zero and Diet Coke. I told the crew not to give him regular Coke. Lemmy thought it was a fucking drag when I interfered like that, but what was I supposed to do? During that period, he was careless with his diabetes in a way that was… I went through the same thing with my father, so I know how important that was. I said: 'It won't be long until they cut both your legs off and then you'll be sitting in a wheelchair.'"
On whether a Lemmy tribute show with Mikkey Dee, Phil Campbell and "Fast" Eddie Clarke could happen:
Mikkey: "Yes, something like that is definitely happening, but when and how I have no idea. All this has to settle first and now is not the right time to do something like that. Personally, I'd like to wait a little until there's a demand. The fans have been eating hamburgers for 40 years, so then maybe you don't want to have a hamburger the first year after Lemmy's death — instead you have to crave that hamburger again. That's how I look at our music: we have toured for so many years that some time has to pass until people say 'Fuck, I'd really like to hear some cool MOTÖRHEAD songs live on stage again.' Personally, I don't think it was appropriate that DIO DISCIPLES were out touring six months after Ronnie James Dio's death. It wasn't at all appropriate, for several reasons. I want there to be a demand for MOTÖRHEAD first, then maybe something will happen with me and Phil and maybe Fast Eddie plus two or three other megastars that love MOTÖRHEAD. If that's the case, I believe you can do something really great with it, but it's all about the right place at the right time."
On whether he'd like to rejoin KING DIAMOND:
Mikkey: "I don't know about that. He's got Matt Thompson, who is great and has played in the band for a really long time, so that's up to King. I think it would be a lot of fun to play with KING DIAMOND again. It would be great, but I'm not going to talk my way into the band. That's something they have to decide on. When I played in MOTÖRHEAD, there was a lot of pressure on Lemmy to bring back both Phil Taylor and Fast Eddie again. Lemmy wouldn't even listen to all that [talk]."
The Lemmy issue of Sweden Rock Magazine will hit newsstands in Sweden on February 23.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's VINCE NEIL Raises $200,000 On 'The Celebrity Apprentice' For CharityAccording to the Las Vegas Sun, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil raised a record $200,000 for the Keep Memory Alive charity Monday (February 15) while filming new episodes of "The Celebrity Apprentice", NBC's long-running business reality show.
Vince has set an additional $100,000 goal in a sales campaign challenge at his pop-up cupcakes and doughnut store at See's Candy on S. La Cienega Blvd. in Los Angeles.
Neil is among sixteen contestants who have signed on for the next season of "The Celebrity Apprentice". Also participating in Season 8 of the reality-TV competition are retired UFC fighter Chael Sonnen, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi of "Jersey Shore" fame, Muhammad Ali's daughter and retired champion boxer Laila Ali, Kyle Richards of "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills", singer Boy George, NFL Hall Of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, comedian Jon Lovitz and stylist Carson Kressley.
NBC put the "Apprentice" franchise on hold after Donald Trump, the show's host since it launched in 2004, entered the Republican race for president. He has since been replaced by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former California governor and a world-famous movie star, known for films like the "Terminator" series.
Arnold's first season is scheduled to premiere in September.
The celebrity version of "The Apprentice" has contestants compete to win money for their favorite charities. Celebrity contestants take part in business-driven tasks and work grueling hours on mentally challenging tasks that test their ability to work together.
Previous rockers who have appeared on "The Celebrity Apprentice" include TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider and POISON's Bret Michaels.
Ratings for "The Celebrity Apprentice" have been down considerably since the show premiered in 2004, with the show's most recent season, in January and February 2015, averaging 7.6 million viewers.

WEDNESDAY 13 On Possible MURDERDOLLS Reunion: 'There's Nothing Going On At All'During a brand new interview with Sticks For Stones, Wednesday 13 was once again asked about the current status of MURDERDOLLS, his one-time project with former SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison. He responded: "It's no secret. I've told everybody. It's kind of public knowledge; at least I think it's public knowledge…. The last time that any of us from the last lineup of MURDERDOLS, which is most of my band now, which was my band prior to MURDERDOLLS, the last show we did was five years ago in April this year, and we played, and that was the last time that any of us spoke to [Joey]. And then all the SLIPKNOT stuff happened and that [broke down the] communication [between us] even further. So, yeah, there's nothing going on at all."
Wednesday 13, however, stopped short of saying that there will never be another MURDERDOLLS album. He said: "I don't know. I mean, honestly, when that second album happened, I'd said for years it was never gonna happen and it did. So to say that another one would never happen would be silly, but, at the moment, there is nothing at all, not even a rumble."
He continued: "I always tell people when I hear, 'What's the current status of MURDERDOLLS?' And I always say, 'Watch the 'Nowhere' video, the last video we put out,' and in the video we're in a car and we fall off a cliff. That's a good indication of where we are. Did we die? Was there an explosion? We don't know. To be continued."
Wednesday 13 added: "That band is… I love it. It was the reason I have a career, and it put me on the map. So I'm proud of it."
MURDERDOLLS issued its sophomore album, "Women And Children Last", in August 2010 via Roadrunner Records. The CD, which was recorded at a studio in Hollywood Hills, California with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD), sold 8,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 43 on The Billboard 200 chart.
In an interview with the Classic 21 radio station at the 2013 edition of the Graspop Metal Meeting, Jordison — who played guitar for MURDERDOLLS — was asked if the band had officially come to an end. "Yeah. We're not doing anymore records," Joey replied. He elaborated in a separate interview with Metal Insider: "Nothing really happened [to cause the end of the MURDERDOLLS]. I really loved the last MURDERDOLLS record ['Women And Children Last']. It's just that, for me personally, I had enough of it, you know? I mean, it was fun but it's not where my heart lies in music. I lie more with drums and the more heavy and darker aspects of music. I need to push myself in different areas and I can't rely on the MURDERDOLLS to satisfy me artistically."

MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE Has A Theory About Why He Is So 'Hated'MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine was asked in a new interview with Westword.com why he thinks he is "openly despised" on "a handful of web sites." He responded: "I think a lot of it goes back to the breakup from METALLICA. There are people that have picked up that feud, and they don't even know why they're choosing sides."
He continued: "I have nothing against METALLICA fans. I was in both bands. I like Lars [Ulrich] and I like James [Hetfield] and, contrary to what people say, I do think Kirk [Hammett] is a good guitar player."
Mustaine added: "In the beginning, when I was bitter, yeah, there was shit going back and forth. They were justifying firing me, and I was telling them that they were wrong. That's just been perpetuated over and over again. It's been put to bed. I've got no beef with those dudes. We're two totally different bands."
Mustaine, who was a member of METALLICA for less than two years, from 1981 to 1983, before being dismissed and replaced by Kirk Hammett, was not inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the band during the April 2009 ceremony at Cleveland, Ohio's Public Auditorium.
METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich later explained to The Plain Dealer that Mustaine was not included because "you've got to kind of cap it somewhere. Dave Mustaine never played on any METALLICA records. No disrespect to him. But there [were] half a dozen other people that were in the lineup in the early days. We thought . . . the fair thing to do would be to include anybody that played on a METALLICA record."
He added: "Dave Mustaine was in the band for 11 months, predominantly in 1982. . . . I'm not trying to play it down. I have nothing but respect and admiration for his accomplishments since."
MEGADETH's new album, "Dystopia", debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 49,000 equivalent album units in the week ending January 28.
In terms of pure album sales, "Dystopia" opened with 48,000 copies, marking MEGADETH's highest-charting album since 1992's "Countdown To Extinction" debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated August 1 of that year. "Dystopia" also logged the group's best sales week since 2007, when "United Abominations" landed at No. 8 with first-week sales of 54,000. 23

ALICE COOPER Is Working On Two New AlbumsLegendary rocker Alice Cooper has told ABC News Radio that he is working on a new solo album and is planning a follow-up to HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES' self-titled debut record, which came out last fall.
"So, I'm working on two albums at once right now," he explained, adding, "And I'm gonna be on two tours this summer. I got my own tour and then I got the VAMPIRES tour. So, I don't get a rest."
Cooper's new solo album will feature contributions from his current backing group as well as material he has co-written with the other surviving members of the original ALICE COOPER band.
"[Drummer] Neal [Smith] and [guitarist] Mike [Bruce] and I just wrote two or three songs," he said. "[Bassist] Dennis [Dunaway] and I wrote some songs together."
He added: "When we broke up [in 1974], we broke up as friends. We never broke up as enemies. If they're doing a gig, I show up and sing a few songs with them. If I'm doing a gig and they're in town, they come up on stage. So, there's never been any bad blood between any of us."
In addition to Cooper, HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES features international film star and musician Johnny Depp and AEROSMITH's Joe Perry.
Alice Cooper's latest album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", sold 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart. Cooper's previous CD, 2008's "Along Came A Spider", opened with just under 10,000 copies to land at No. 53.
Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum "Welcome To My Nightmare" album in 1975, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind. 6

ANTHRAX's CHARLIE BENANTE: 'I Don't Think PHILIP ANSELMO Is A Racist'ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante has weighed in on last month's incident when ex-PANTERA singer Philip Anselmo made a "white power" gesture onstage at a concert.
Anselmo performed the PANTERA classic "Walk" at the January 22 "Dimebash" event at the Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood, California in honor of his former bandmate, late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. As he left the stage, he made a Nazi-style salute. He appeared to say "white power" as he made the gesture, but he later claimed he was referring to drinking white wine as part of an "inside joke." Anselmo has since released a video message, saying that he "deserves completely" the "heat" that he has been getting over his actions and claiming to be "a thousand percent apologetic to anyone that took offense to what [he] said."
Several notable musicians have come out and criticized Anselmo for his actions, including ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian, who suggested Anselmo show how sincere he is by making a donation to Jewish human rights organization the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Scott also wrote in an online post: "Philip's actions were vile and that should be the focus here; anything else is just noise."
Now Benante has defended Philip for his actions, explaining that Anselmo is "genuinely sorry for saying" what he did and calling the former PANTERA singer "my friend."
Speaking to the "Moshpit" radio show, which airs from the SYN Studios in Melbourne, Australia, Benante said (hear audio below): "I think Philip made a mistake. I think there were other things… other factors involved in that situation that people probably didn't see. And I've known Philip Anselmo forever, and I don't think Philip is a racist. I just think he's become the poster boy for this. And I know it shocked a lot of people and it pissed off a lot of people. But I think he's genuinely sorry for saying anything like that. And, yeah, he's my friend."
In an interview with Sticks For Stones, Ian said that Anselmo should be forgiven for his actions "if he proves that he deserves to be. Just asking to be forgiven doesn't mean you should be forgiven. And I've had a running dialogue with Phil since this happened. It's not like I just posted something online without actually speaking to my friend. I've been having a dialogue back and forth with him. 'Cause if I didn't care, I wouldn't have contacted him at all. But I cared. Phil, I've known the dude almost thirty years. He's like a brother; he's family. And when someone in your family has a problem, you discuss it and you try and find a solution."
He continued: "My attitude towards the whole thing was, to me, silence is complicity. If you don't say something about something like this, then you're condoning it, and I can't condone that in any way, shape or form. It's not okay in any world, let alone the metal world, to do these kind of things in any type of context, because words are too powerful, especially Phil Anselmo's words, because there's too many impressionable people out there who listen to every fucking thing that he says. So, you know, bottom line is he needs to prove that he should be forgiven, and the only thing that will prove that is his actions. And I am, of course, willing to give him the opportunity to prove that, because, like I said, he's like my brother. So I didn't write him off. I talked to him about it, and I have every hope inside of my heart that he will prove to the world that he is not this person."
Ian went on to reiterate the fact that he wants to see Anselmo learn from the incident and realize the error of his ways.
"The fact is he made his mistake in front of the world," Scott said. "You just need to be smarter than that — bottom line, you know. I mean, words have power, and that's what people need to understand. Not everybody understands your context. Not everybody sees everything you're gonna say about it. Some people will only see what you did and think that's okay. And that's the truth, because in the aftermath of the whole thing, and after I posted what I posted, I couldn't believe some of the ignorance coming back my way. Possibly the stupidest thing that I saw was someone saying to me, 'Well, why would you want him to donate money to the Simon Wiesenthal Center? That's a Jewish thing.' Sorry, to quote, 'That's a Jew thing, and 'white power' has nothing to do with Jews.' So that just shows you the ignorance out there. So, you know, people need to be educated. That's the bottom line here. People just really need to fucking learn a little bit, and I hope good will come out of this in some way, shape or form. Because it can't be accepted anywhere — not just the metal community, but anywhere in the world, it's unacceptable." 2

Walkaround Video Tour Of IRON MAIDEN's New Boeing 747 PlaneA "walkaround" video tour of IRON MAIDEN's new-and-improved branded private tour plane is available below.
The Boeing 747 jumbo is named Ed Force One after the band's mascot, Eddie, who has appeared on all of their album covers, and graces the plane's tail.
Ed Force One will land at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Friday (February 19). Touchdown is expected at 3:15 p.m.
Ed Force One is being piloted on the band's world tour by MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson.
Dickinson commented: "When the opportunity arose from my friends at Air Atlanta Icelandic to lease a 747 for 'The Book of Souls' world tour, of course we jumped at the chance. Who wouldn't?
"The greatest benefit of travelling in a 747 is that because of its colossal size and freight capacity we can carry our stage production and all our stage equipment and desks in the cargo hold without having to make any of the immense structural modifications needed to do this on the previous 757, the extent of which fans will have noted on the 'Flight 666' DVD.
"Although in reality we cannot carry much more gear the savings in complexity, time and cost make using the 747 even more practical. All we will need to do is 'paint' it and move a few seats around, with the added advantage that there is much more room for band and crew — our crew can almost get a row of seats each to catch up on sleep on the flights! Furthermore, it is marginally faster 0.85 MACH and the range of around 7000NM (13,000 km) is much greater which means we will not have to make the refueling stops we needed to with the 757."
The 747 is the world's most recognizable airliner on account of its distinctive hump. With its impressive dimensions of 70.7m (232ft) length, 19.4m (63.6ft) height and a jaw-dropping wing span of 64.4m (211ft) this double-decker aircraft has a range of 13,450km (7,262nm).
IRON MAIDEN's world tour, in support of the band's latest album, "The Book Of Souls", will kick off on February 24 in Florida.
Support on the trek will come from THE RAVEN AGE, the band led by IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris's son George Harris.
MAIDEN's sixteenth — and first-ever double — studio album, "The Book Of Souls", was released worldwide on September 4, 2015 through Parlophone Records (BMG in the U.S.A). The CD was recorded in Paris, France with producer Kevin "Caveman" Shirley in late 2014, with the finishing touches added last year.
IRON MAIDEN announced in May 2015 that touring plans to support the album wouldn't happen until this year to allow Dickinson time to fully recuperate after his successful cancer treatment. 3

Listen to MARILYN MANSON And SHOOTER JENNINGS Cover DAVID BOWIE's '‘Cat People'Marilyn Manson has contributed guest vocals to country personality Shooter Jennings's cover version of David Bowie's "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)". The track will appear on Shooter's upcoming album, "Countach (For Giorgio)", which honors Bowie and electronic/disco legend Giorgio Moroder. Moroder produced the original Bowie song for the soundtrack to the 1982 film "Cat People", although Bowie later recut the song for 1983's "Let's Dance" album.
"I invited [Manson] out to a party at this bar, and I said, 'Hey, you know 'Cat People'? You want to do that song on this record, 'cause you'd sound awesome doing it,'" Jennings told Rolling Stone of how the unexpected partnership came about. "And he was, like, 'I sing that song every night before I go onstage. That's my song I warm up to.' So one night I went over to his house at three in the morning and brought all my recording gear."
He added: "What's awesome about Manson is all the people I've worked with who are singers always overanalyze their performance and want to recut shit or use a different take. He's none of that. His house is cavernous and looks like a bordello and it was his voice echoing through the house. It was pretty intense."
Manson recently penned a moving tribute to Bowie, saying: "Every song of his was a way for me to communicate to others. It was a sedative. An arousal. A love letter I could never have written. It has become and remains a soundtrack to a movie he painted with his voice and guitar."
Manson's latest album, "The Pale Emperor", was released in January 2015 via his own label — Hell, etc. — in a joint venture with Cooking Vinyl.

JANI LANE's Cover Versions Of JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD Classics To Be Included On 'Catch A Falling Star' CompilationIn 2011, the rock world lost an incredibly gifted singer and songwriter, a man whose voice reverberated around the world on such blockbuster hits as "Cherry Pie", "Down Boys", "Sometimes She Cries", "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and the unforgettable ballad "Heaven".
Jani Lane joined WARRANT in 1985, and together the band lit up the L.A. club circuit, becoming an international sensation with multi-platinum albums and an adoring fanbase. Always a music lover at heart, after Lane left WARRANT in 2004, he continued to write and record, often paying homage to some of his musical heroes by participating in tribute projects to CHEAP TRICK, JUDAS PRIEST and others. Now a new CD compilation collects some of these superb solo performances in one convenient package and for the first time ever on vinyl!
"Catch A Falling Star", which includes Lane's takes on UFO's "Doctor, Doctor", DEF LEPPARD's "Photograph" and BON JOVI's epic "Lay Your Hands On Me", will be released February 26 on Deadline Music.
In addition to guest appearances by two of Lane's bandmates, guitarist Erik Turner and bassist Jerry Dixon, "Catch A Falling Star" includes liner notes by former WARRANT drummer Bobby Borg, who shares his personal recollections of Lane.
There is "no better tribute to Lane than a collection of covers," Borg writes, "Those who saw WARRANT perform live know that Lane loved to mix cover songs into the show… songs by THE DOORS, LED ZEPPELIN, Joe Walsh, QUEEN, and other artists throughout our live sets. (I loved that about the band.)."
Speaking of Lane's distinctive vocal style, Borg writes "Lane was able to convey the subject matter of a song emotionally — whether soft and heartfelt or loud and aggressive — while always maintaining a certain charm as if he were grinning warmly."
"Catch A Falling Star" track listing:
01. I Want You To Want Me (feat. Ryan Roxie, ALICE COOPER)02. Panama03. Photograph04. The Ocean05. Doctor, Doctor06. Electric Eye07. Free For All (feat. Jake E. Lee, ex-OZZY OSBOURNE)08. No Surprise (feat. Chris Holmes, ex-W.A.S.P.)09. Lay Your Hands On Me (feat. Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon)
Lane suffered from "acute ethanol poisoning" when he died in August 2011 at a Comfort Inn motel room in Woodland Hills, California. The singer had battled alcoholism for years and also had a history of alcohol-related arrests.
Lane originally left WARRANT in March 1993 but rejoined the band in September 1994. The group went on to record the "Ultraphobic" (1995), "Belly To Belly" (1996) and "Greatest & Latest" (1999) albums and issued and collection of covers, "Under The Influence", in 2001. Jani quit WARRANT again in 2004 before reuniting with the group four years later. 1
