TODAY IS THE DAY Release "Burn In Hell" Music Video

Visionary metal outfit, Today Is The Day, have released a video for "Burn In Hell", the new single from the band's impending eleventh studio full-length, No Good To Anyone, which is their first album through new label home BMG. The album is confirmed for release on February 28. The video is available for streaming below.

No Good To Anyone was recorded and mastered by Today Is The Day's Steve Austin at his Austin Enterprises in Orland, Maine, and completed with artwork by Jef Whitehead (Leviathan, Lurker Of Chalice). The album is a crushing display of the band's singular psychedelic-yet-scathing sound and stands as a symbol of overcoming pain and adversity of the most extreme nature. The album was created over several years of Austin's battle with several major surgeries and treatments on a myriad of levels including a vicious battle with Lyme Disease.

"Hard living and hard times collide in our new song, 'Burn In Hell'," states Steve Austin. "This song will knock out your two front teeth and put 'em back in. It's a bareknuckle look at the wild side, but also the very empty and dark side of being away from home and missing the ones you love."

No Good To Anyone will be released on LP, CD, and digital platforms through BMG on February 28. Pre-order here.

GODTHRYMM Featuring MY DYING BRIDE, ANATHEMA Vets Steaming Reflections Album Ahead Of Friday Release

UK doom metal trio Godthrymm - featuring vocalist/guitarist Hamish Glencross (ex-My Dying Bride, Vallenfyre, Solstice), drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels (ex-My Dying Bride, Anathema), and bassist Bob Crolla - will unleash their debut album, Reflections, tomorrow (Friday, February 14) via Profound Lore. Ahead of the official release, you can now listen to the entire album, below.

Godthrymm was forged in 2017 by Glencross and sees the respected UK metal luminary return to his doom metal roots, creating the music he was known to help forge with Solstice on the legendary New Dark Age album and especially with the heralded My Dying Bride from the 2000 - 2014 time period. Further adding to the Godthrymm pedigree is drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels who, after some lineup refining following the band's A Grand Reclamation debut EP, became the core of Godthrymm. In the months to follow, the pair recorded the colossal Reflections full-length. Upon its completion, Glencross and Taylor-Steels added bassist Bob Crolla to the fold making Godthrymm a true power trio of doom.

Recorded and mixed by Nathan Bailey and featuring artwork and design by Brian D'Agosta of Gostworks Art (Vallenfyre, War//Plague), with Reflections, Godthrymm has unleashed a mammoth slab of heavy, mournful, yet pounding traditional doom that harks back to the classic era of '90s UK doom/Peaceville Records. A massive step up from their debut EP, Reflections is the result of Glencross taking Godthrymm into darker, more melancholic, and towering realms. Through Glencross' soaring passionate vocals complimenting his powerful riffs along with Taylor-Steels' thunderous percussion giving the rhythm section that immense and glorious tone, Reflections is a testament to the glory days of the genre while simultaneously making its statement as a new force of modern day doom metal to behold.

Godthrymm's Reflections will be released on CD, 2LP, and digital formats. Pre-order links below:

MY RUIN Release Rock Love & Red Lipstick Covers Album For Free Download

My Ruin vocalist Tairrie B. Murphy has checked in with the following update:

"Hello again! It's been a minute, so where do we begin?

Let's go back and start at the end. After the release of our last album, The Sacred Mood, followed by our 2014 U.K. tour, we decided to take a much needed break from My Ruin. Our hearts, minds and most importantly our mental health demanded it. Years of touring and dealing with behind the scenes bullshit along with numerous shady characters in the music industry had taken it's toll on both of us. Sometimes you need to step away from a situation to gain perspective and keep it sacred.

Earlier this month Mick and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary. With that in mind, we wanted commemorate the occasion and the love we feel for our band along with the some of the artists we've loved since we were young and throughout our relationship.

We've always loved a good cover and find it interesting to hear how a band interprets a song and makes it their own. We've had a blast covering a few of our favorite artists live on tour and on our various studio recordings ourselves over the years. Unfortunately, many of our albums are out of print and finding the actual physical CDs is difficult so we decided to go through our extensive discography and put them together in one rad new digital compilation covers album we have appropriately titled Rock Love & Red Lipstick for obvious reasons.

We are giving it away as a FREE DOWNLOAD in honor of today (Valentine's Day) and to thank you for the love have shown our band over the last 20 years. If you care to make a donation in the name of art with your download, we thank you again and appreciate the support in continuing to keep our DIY spirit of independence alive in our music!

We have sequenced each track to create a vibe. They're not in order except for the first and last song that bookend the album. We kick shit off with 'My War' because our path was never easy. From day one, we fought a long hard battle in the music industry just to be heard and seen. It took us through many trials and tribulations over the last twenty years but our love of the music and each other is what kept us together throughout the madness.

Rock Love & Red Lipstick features 16 ruined and remastered songs including two brand new, never before heard covers of the old school hip hop classic 'I Ain't No Joke' by Eric B & Rakim and 'My Way' which was made famous by both Frank Sinatra & Sid Vicious, which we have given a spoken word/brutal scream, heavy metal feminine twist. Those who know us and have followed our band will understand why we have chose to both cover and close the album with 'My Way' because it illustrates our journey perfectly.

Tomorrow we will be debuting a new video for 'My Way' which I created to accompany the song and can't wait for you to see. In the meantime, we hope you take a moment to download our cover album to add to your My Ruin related music collection and enjoy listening to it as much as much as we enjoyed recording it.

Although we are still on a self imposed hiatus with no plans for touring in the near future, we just wanted to touch base and let you know we are thinking of you. We've loved, we've laughed and we've cried. We hope you will continue to support us as we follow our hearts wherever they may take us in 2020. Ride or die."

KORPIKLAANI Unleash New Digital Single "Birra Birra" Feat. SKILTRON Vocalist Emilio Souto; Lyric Video

Finland's Korpiklaani have had enough rest and are now energized to begin the next touring cycle. Kicking off with two shows in Japan at the end of February, followed by a UK tour in March with Burning Witches, and then four shows in Slovakia with Arzen. Reason enough for the sextet to at least start the new year properly in a musical way.

Today, Korpiklaani release another adaption of their hit song "Beer Bee.". The newly launched lyric video for "Birra Birra" which features Skiltron vocalist Emilio Souto can be seen below.

Emilio states: "I was visiting the guys from Korpiklaani at Petrax studios during the recording sessions of Kulkija and Jonne told me about the idea of making many versions of 'Beer Beer' in different  languages and asked me if I could help with the lyrics for the Spanish version. I suggested a more "Argentinian-slang" version and they loved the idea! Then a few minutes later after writing them, all of a sudden, I found myself recording the vocals! Maybe there was too much Birra that day for coming up with such a crazy version ;) Disfruten, escabien y a rockear!"

Rhode Island’s KINGSMEN Announce Debut Album; Single Streaming

The smallest state in the Union has produced a contender for one of metal’s fiercest bands! Rhode Island metal foursome Kingsmen is entering the ring with a brutal, debut full-length album, Revenge. Forgiveness, Recovery, that’s out April 10 from SharpTone Records. Today, the band has released the incoming record’s first new song, “Nightmare,” via a music video. Melding blistering, face melting death metal and rapid fire, neck-snapping hardcore, Kingsmen bring a new sense of intensity to the scene with their debut track, which divulges the long and troubled road to the completion of the album. The band will be performing dates with BE//GOTTEN in April.

“Life isn’t always a beautiful dream,” says vocalist Tanner Guimond on the new song. “More often than not we are faced with challenges that are nearly impossible to handle. Our journey for the last few years has been full of sickness, death, misguidance and heartbreak. Our turmoil has led to the creation of our first full length album “Revenge. Forgiveness. Recovery.” This is the first single off that record titled ‘Nightmare.’ This song is about embracing change and never surrendering your will because of hard times. So, take a listen and let us reach into the darkest parts of your mind.”

After a series of unfortunate events over the last few years that nearly ended the band, Kingsmen buckled-down and poured their hearts and souls into writing their first full-length. Revenge. Forgiveness. Recovery was recorded in Nashville, TN with producer Mark Lewis (Trivium, Whitechapel, Cannibal Corpse).  Defying categorization, a singular style emerged at the forefront of the sessions. In the aftermath, they caught the attention of SharpTone who signed them in 2019.

Kingsmen’s strength in songwriting, inspiring lyrics and a fresh, vicious take on metal helps define them among a crowded field of bands, while showing massive potential to be one of the scene’s most exciting breakout newcomers.

“When you listen to us, we want you to know there’s always hope,” Tanner adds. “Our album was made during a dark period in our lives, we’re still here living, breathing, and loving life. We can only hope it helps and heals others through hard times. Kingsmen traditionally protect someone in power. To tie this to our meaning, we protect each other like a family. Through many trials and tribulations, we’ve always found the strength to persevere through our struggles together by making music.”

Tracklisting:

“Until I’ve Departed”
“World On Fire”
“Tipping The Scales”
“Nightmare”
“Waste Away”
“Outsider”
“Oppressor”
“Pleasure In Vengeance”
“Relapse”
“Death Of The Sixth”

France’s STINKY Sign With M-Theory Audio

The French melodic hardcore/punk band Stinky – who have played more than 350 shows across 15 different countries in support of their first two albums, including a standout performance at last year's Hellfest – have signed with America's M-Theory Audio for the release of their forthcoming third full-length, Of Lost Things, which will be released in May.

While the band's name might seem curious to some, Stinky's music – a raucous blend of melodic punk and hardcore with a metal edge – unquestionably passes the smell test. The band capably fuses melody with an affinity for violence, making the quintet a combustible mix of energy and aggression.

On Of Lost Things,”Stinky sharpens the edge displayed on the band's first two albums while also introducing more melancholic elements that further accent their characteristic melody and punch. The first preview track from the record, “Revival Fire,” will premiere on February 28.

“Stinky is very pleased to be signing with M-Theory alongside bands such as Sworn Enemy, Backyard Babies and Santa Cruz for the release of Of Lost Things,” says Stinky vocalist Claire. “The album reflects lost memories and emotions conducive to self-reflection – a safe haven for all that we wanted to share.”

Since their formation a decade ago, Stinky has toured Europe numerous times, sharing the stage with the likes of Sick Of It All, Terror, Walls of Jericho, Comeback Kid and Millencolin. To date, the band has released two albums – 2015's Against Wind and Tide and 2017's From Dead-End Street. The group plans to tour aggressively in support of Of Lost Things, beginning with a series of dates in their home country and their first-ever tour of Japan. Additional tour dates, as well as further information about Of Lost Things, will be announced in the coming weeks.

US progressive metal pioneers and innovators, Psychotic Waltz, return in full original lineup with their fifth studio album and first new music in 23 years. Entitled The God-Shaped Void, the new album and InsideOutMusic debut is available now.

Says the band: "Today is a special day for us, the release of our fifth album, and first record in over two decades. It’s crazy to think that 35 years ago, the five of us started playing together in Aslan, which a few years later we re-named Psychotic Waltz. We can’t thank our fans enough for their enormous patience biding their time until the album was done. But the wait is officially over! The album basically picks up where we left off in 1997, with the added benefit of modern technology and perhaps a more mature songwriting perspective. We would also like to give thanks to Jens Bogren for his great job with the mixing and mastering, and Ulrich Wild for his tracking work. It’s definitely our best-sounding album to date, and we can’t forget the amazing work of our longtime collaborator Travis Smith for the outstanding artwork. Turn it up, and enjoy!”

To further stress today’s street date of the album, the band have launched a video clip directed by Costin Chioreanu / Twight13Media for the song “While The Spiders Spin”, which can be seen below.

Says the band about the single/video: “The third single is ‘While The Spiders Spin’, which was the first song we played live from the new album, back when we did some shows in 2017. The acoustic intro was added later. Costin once again did a great job capturing the mood of the song, which is a commentary on the impersonal nature of modern society and how our phones and devices only seem to isolate rather than unite us.”

The basic tracks for The God-Shaped Void were recorded with engineer Ulrich Wild in the band’s hometown of San Diego, then the rest of the recordings at Studio D in Austria and finally the material was mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Fates Warning) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Artwork, as seen below, was created by longtime visual partner Travis Smith (Katatonia, Riverside, Nevermore).

The album’s bonus-track “Season Of The Swarm” is available on the limited Mediabook CD (which comes with expanded booklet and an exclusive logo patch), on the vinyl edition as well as on the digital versions. A standard jewelcase CD edition is available as well.

The vinyl edition of The God-Shaped Void comes as 2LP on 180gr. vinyl with gatefold packaging and with the entire album on CD as bonus in the following versions:

METALLICA Release "Nothing Else Matters" HQ Performance Video From Indianapolis

Metallica performed "Nothing Else Matters" at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN on March 11, 2019. Watch pro-shot video below:

Metallica's next show is April 15 in Santiago, Chile at Estadio Nacional. The venue has a capacity of 63,000 fans and is completely sold out! To view their complete tour schedule, visit this location.

Back in September 2019, Metallica announced that their second annual All Within My Hands benefit concert would take place on March 28, 2020 at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA. The band have since revealed a change of plans, sharing the following message:

"Time to update the calendar as the second installment of the All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert has been rescheduled for September 12, 2020, still at The Masonic in San Francisco. A few of you may recall that in September as we were riding high on all the positive vibes that came out of the two S&M² shows, we were excited to announce that we had set aside March 28th to celebrate AWMH with all of you again. However, we may have been a little too ambitious with that date in terms of getting our shit together and giving you an experience that matches or surpasses the first event held in November of 2018.

"We apologize for the inconvenience that this change may cause and thank you for all the support and love that you’ve given All Within My Hands. We’ve had some incredible accomplishments in the last two years, including the launch of the innovative Metallica Scholars program (more on year two here) and are excited to share all the details - and a kick-ass show - with you later this year.

"More information and ticketing details coming very soon."

DARK FORTRESS Streaming New Song "The Spider In The Web"

Venerated black metal specialists, Dark Fortress, return with a new album, Spectres From The Old World, on February 28 via Century Media Records. Check out "The Spider In The Web" for another taste of the album, below.

"Our third single, 'The Spider In The Web', is probably the most straight forward and "simple" song on Spectres From The Old World, but it comes with a twist: The mellow midsection adds another facet to the pallet and the gloomy ending part opens the door to another universe which will be carried on by the next song on the album," states guitarist V. Santura about the track.

Dark Fortress vocalist Morean dives deeper into the concept, stating, "The inspiration for this lyric came from fairly recent images from a simulation of the distribution of galaxies and dark matter in the universe - a simulated 'photo of the universe', so to speak. On these images, one can clearly see how all matter in the cosmos aligns itself in strands of truly astronomical proportions; the same entropic mechanisms that create clumps in your powdered mashed potatoes serve as architects on the grandest possible scale.Since this structure is contained within spacetime's intangible fabric itself, the mind that reincarnated into it becomes the silent, hidden observer of its creation, watching a universe taking shape as a consequence of his seemingly insubstantial, microscopically wobbling oscillations. Thus, he contains the totality of everything within his bizarre 11-dimensional existence; he is 'the spider in the web' of everything."

After a six-year gap, Germany’s darkest sons continue where Venereal Dawn (2014) left off conceptually. Morean (vocals) explains: “Together with the rest of the human race, the protagonist reincarnated as a disembodied creature of pure light in ‘On Fever’s Wings’, the last song of Venereal Dawn. The new album attempts to draw a picture of such a mind’s perspective on life - reincarnating as pure, massless energy. The narrator has become the fabric of the universe itself. This is where heavy physics and string theory come in.”

Spectres From The Old World is more direct, more aggressive than its predecessors. At no time in Dark Fortress’ history have they reached so far out into the darkness, only to find the domine of astronomy non-existent, the end merely an end. Recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered by V. Santura at Woodshed Studios throughout 2019, Spectres From The Old World marks an important milestone in Dark Fortress’ journey along actual and spiritual left-hand paths.

ROSS THE BOSS Premier Lyric Video For New Song "Denied By The Cross"

Ross “The Boss” Friedman and his band, Ross The Boss, will release their new album, Born Of Fire, on March 6 via AFM Records. Pre-order here. A lyric video for the song, "Denied By The Cross", can be found below.

One can’t talk about genre defining acts in the metal scene without mentioning one man: Ross “The Boss” Friedman has written music history as a founding member of Manowar and The Dictators. His influence in heavy metal and also punk is noticeable to this day.

Manowar’s first six masterpieces which saw him significantly involved in between 1982 and 1988 are immortal classics today, and that the band wasn’t able to deliver the same quality again after his departure speaks for the New York based guitarist and songwriter. Since 2006 Ross again is releasing traditional and raw epic metal which calls up memories of the Manowar masterpieces from the 80’s with its very own style.

The brand new album, Born Of Fire, is the fourth album from Friedman and his band, which arrives not even two years after their chart breaking 2018 effort, By Blood Sworn. While Ross The Boss used this time for extensive touring they built their latest epos which will excite fans worldwide seemingly effortless out of nothing.

Born Of Fire is pounding yet fresher and heavier out of the speakers than before, but isn’t lacking any of the typical Ross The Boss trademarks.

Tracklisting:

"Glory To The Slain"
"Fight The Fight"
"Denied By The Cross"
"Maiden Of Shadows"
"I Am The Sword"
"Shotgun Evolution"
"Born Of Fire"
"Godkiller"
"The Blackest Heart"
"Demon Holiday"
"Undying"
"Waking The Moon"

"Denied By The Cross" lyric video:

After the successful release of By Blood Sworn in 2018, a full European tour and glorious festival shows all over Europe, the Ross The Boss band returns to Europe in April 2020 to promote their upcoming new album. Tour dates, with special guests Burning Witches and Asomvel, are listed below.

DEMONS & WIZARDS Release Music Video For New Single 'Wolves In Winter'

DEMONS & WIZARDS, the side project of ICED EARTH mainman Jon Schaffer and BLIND GUARDIAN singer Hansi Kürsch, will release its third studio album, "III", on February 21 via Century Media Records. The LP marks the band's first collection of new material in 15 years.

The official music video for the disc's third single, "Wolves In Winter", can be seen below. The clip was directed by Ivan Čolić and produced by iCODE Team.

Schaffer comments: "I'm not sure why the title of this song came to me so strongly when I wrote and arranged the music. But it certainly did. I even put the wolves howling part on the pre-production demo before I had written any lyrics or heard any vocal melodies from Hansi.

"It is about embracing the beast that lies within us all. At any rate, it's a cool song with a big hooky chorus. My favorite part is the verse riff, though. It just sounds heavy and intense, and you can't go wrong with that combination."

Kürsch adds: "'Wolves In Winter' is definitely a tune you want to hear live and even more than hearing it, you want to sing along with it immediately. Feel free to rehearse in front of your speakers!"

"III" track listing:

01. Diabolic

02. Invincible

03. Wolves In Winter

04. Final Warning

05. Timeless Spirit

06. Dark Side Of Her Majesty

07. Midas Disease

08. New Dawn

09. Universal Truth

10. Split

11. Children Of Cain

The "III" recording lineup is:

Hansi Kürsch – Lead and backing vocals

Jon Schaffer - Rhythm and lead guitars, bass guitar, 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars, mandolin, keyboards, backing vocals

Guest musicians on "III":

Brent Smedley - Drums

Jim Morris - Additional guitars, backing vocals

Jake Dreyer - Additional guitars

Ruben Drake - Bass

Thomas Hackman, Olaf Senkbeil, John Jaycee Cuipers, Zakery Alexander, Jeff Brant, Todd Plant, Jerome Mazza - Backing vocals

PA'dam chamber choir - Classical choir

Kürsch told Heavy New York about "III": "It will stand out completely. It's 14 years [since the last album] and you can feel that. And we're not even intending to go back and do something which will build on what we did in the past. Still, the roots are there. It's the definition of Jon and me. This cannot be denied, not one single second on this album. But it has a very intense, modern, new feeling to it. It goes away from what we've done in the past."

Added Jon: "Like he said, it's very honest. It's us. There's no question about who it is, but we've grown as individuals and as artists. I think you can hear that. There's a lot of big, huge dynamic range on this album, and it's going to take people on a journey, man. For sure."

During a press conference at last year's Hellfest, Jon stated about the songwriting process for "III": "At the end of [ICED EARTH's] 'Incorruptible' album cycle, I went out to the mountains in Arizona and hiked for a month and spent one week with my [ICED EARTH] bandmates, because we were going on hiatus. So the five of us went out into the desert and stayed together, and then I stayed three weeks by myself and got an enormous amount of power from that and energy from just staying away from the music business and not talking to management. I talked to Hansi about twice, and other than that, I was completely disconnected from everybody, and it was a really great thing. So when I got back to songwriting, it was, like, 'Boom!' Everything went really fast, and I knew there was really, really strong material, and it's good. And the arrangements came, and everything came, and I started sending Hansi stuff. I knew, from an instrumental standpoint, that this is some of the best material I've ever written. And then when he added his stuff on top, it was, like, 'Okay, we have something really special for the people.' And at the end of the day, I actually don't care if you guys love it, because I do, and [Hansi] does. And that sounds harsh, but that's art, and it's honest — it's actually honest. And it's real, and it is actually some of the best material I've written in my entire life, from my standpoint, and what [Hansi has] done, it's killer. And people are gonna be shocked, I think — very pleasantly shocked — by what's coming, honestly."

NERGAL's ME AND THAT MAN Releases Music Video For 'By The River' Feat. EMPEROR's IHSAHN

Blackened blues project ME AND THAT MAN — founded in 2013 by BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski — has released a new single, "By The River", off its upcoming album, "New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1", to be released on March 27 via Napalm Records. "By The River" takes you on a drive with the Devil himself, straight through the aberrations of the graveyard and back. Creating a uniquely captivating atmospheric concept, the desert-tinted soundscapes weave throughout the song. Ihsahn of the legendary EMPEROR lends his entrancing vocals to this single and will bewitch the listener. Slow hypnotizing riffs round off the track, while a masterfully escalating guitar solo closes "By The River" on a high note.

Bridging the gap to the vintage atmospheres of the previously released videos, "By The River" is the next ritual of initiation, straight into the distinctive aesthetics and stories ME AND THAT MAN tells on the upcoming album. The peculiarly alienated spaces and desert landscapes framed by an enchanting soundtrack unfold gradually in front of the viewer, taking form in a captivating odyssey through Southern landscapes, cities, villages and empty crossroads. There, maybe even a personal encounter with the Devil himself is possible!

Nergal on "By The River": "When the rumours first emerged of me collaborating with Rob Halford and Ihsahn, the idea sparked imaginations. I guess people would expect a Nergal and Ihsahn partnership to be extreme, but what came out was a bare-bones, blues banger! I've got to tell you; it wasn't an easy sell… at first Ihsahn didn't think there was much he could add — luckily, I knew different and I gave him a simple instruction, 'Have fun.' A week later, I got the track back and I was totally blown away! Considering the status of the man, he is humble and professional to the core. It was my pleasure to work with him and now it's our pleasure to present to you 'By The River'!”

Three years after their initial debut, ME AND THAT MAN has returned with an offering that is indeed different from the first, but in no way less brilliant. The mysterious collective has surpassed themselves with their bewitching new collection — featuring ominous lyricism atop unfiltered blues, gothic-laced folk, outlaw country and Americana-influenced anthems. The enthralling album visits a completely new spectrum of dark desert vibes and sees notable heavy music icons such as Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT), Brent Hinds (MASTODON), Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM), Ihsahn (EMPEROR) and Sivert Høyem (MADRUGADA) join the pact with the devil. "New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1" is a diversified, dynamic masterpiece that presents Nergal in a completely new light, providing a strong contrast to the heavier sounds of BEHEMOTH. Evil has truly never sounded so good.

Nergal comments: "With the utmost pride and… kind of relief;,I present to you, the second ME AND THAT MAN album — 'New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1'. This time 'round, I wanted to take on a different challenge and curated an album of 11 songs — each with their own character and vibe, alongside the most talented and important individuals across the whole scene. Together, we take trips to the lands of blues, folk, country and even spaghetti western. Only time will tell if we hit the mark, but I deeply believe so. I'm very proud of this piece of work and it has been a monumental task to achieve.

"I would like to thank EACH one of our guests for being part of this project: Mat and Matt, Niklas and Jørgen, Corey, Alan, Addi, Brent, Vegard, Sivert, Anders, Rob, Jerome, Johanna and Nicke. I LOVE you all from here to the moon and back! Without the passion and heart you granted us, this wouldn't have been possible!"

"New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1" track listing:

01. Run With The Devil (feat. Jørgen Munkeby of SHINING)

02. Coming Home (feat. Siver Høyem of MADRUGADA)

03. Burning Churches (feat. Mat McNerney of GRAVE PLEASURES)

04. By The River (feat. Ihsahn of EMPEROR)

05. Męstwo

06. Surrender (feat. Anders Landelius of DEAD SOUL)

07. Deep Down South (feat. Nicke Anderson of ENTOMBED / Johanna Sadonis of LUCIFER)

08. Man Of The Cross (feat. Jerome Reuter of ROME)

09. You Will Be Mine (feat. Matt Heafy of TRIVIUM)

10. How Come? (feat. Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR) / Brent Hinds of MASTODON)

11. Confession (feat. Niklas Kvarforth of SHINING)

ME AND THAT MAN released its debut album, "Songs Of Love And Death", in 2017 — introducing the world to its unique brand of folk and blues, mixed with hints of outlaw country. The atmospherically dark album provided a strong contrast to BEHEMOTH with its catchy melodies and relaxed rhythms, and gave Nergal space to express his creativity in a different setting. Since its release, the album's lead single, "My Church Is Black", has racked up over 2.5 million streams on Spotify.

Darski has been a fixture in the music industry for years. As the frontman of black/death metal band BEHEMOTH, Darski has been known to preach unholy sermons, praise Satan and sing about explicit blasphemy. Naturally, the next step was to channel those themes into another genre commonly dubbed as the Devil's music — blues. ME AND THAT MAN is exactly that — Nergal's solo project will surprise and bewitch the listener. The visionary creative founded the band in an effort to showcase his true ability to adapt to any genre. In summer 2018, British/Polish rock musician John Porter left ME AND THAT MAN after the band completed a number of gigs in support of "Songs Of Love And Death".

MÖTLEY CRÜE Releases 2020 Lyric Video For Kickstart My Heart'

MÖTLEY CRÜE has released a 2020 lyric video for its classic song "Kickstart My Heart". Check it out below.

"Kickstart My Heart" is featured in the trailer for "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run". Due in theaters on May 22 via Paramount Pictures, the latest movie will be the first almost entirely CGI adaptation of the Nickelodeon TV series "SpongeBob SquarePants", which first premiered in 1999. It is the third SpongeBob movie, following on from 2004's "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" and 2015's "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water".

This is not the first time "Kickstart My Heart", from MÖTLEY CRÜE's 1989 album "Dr. Feelgood", has been featured in a film. Back in 2017, the song was included in the trailer for "The Lego Batman Movie". More recently, the track was heard in Planters's first-ever Super Bowl ad, which aired in February 2019.

CRÜE will team up with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS for a North American stadium tour this summer. "The Stadium Tour" will kick off on June 18 in Jacksonville, Florida. The trek marks CRÜE's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell run. The band toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017 — but the upcoming jaunt marks the first time all four acts have hit the road together for an extended tour.

CANDLEMASS: 'Porcelain Skull' Lyric Video

The official lyric video for the song "Porcelain Skull" from Grammy-nominated classic doom icons CANDLEMASS can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new EP, "The Pendulum", which will be released on March 27 via Napalm Records. The effort is fully comprised of never-before-heard, unused tracks cut from "The Door To Doom" recording sessions.

Says band mastermind Leif Edling: "I think the video really captures the schizophrenic lyrics to the 'Porcelain Skull' song. It is about the eternal battle with our dark selves. AVATARIUM did a fine version of it on their latest album but this one is rawer and harder, hits you right in the face!"

"The Pendulum" track listing:

01. The Pendulum

02. Snakes Of Goliath

03. Sub Zero

04. Aftershock

05. Porcelain Skull

06. The Cold Room

This six-track EP leads the listener through a maze of frenzied riffing, accented by Johan Langquist's distinctive vocals and the unique, melancholy sound that has proven CANDLEMASS to be a heavy metal staple.

CANDLEMASS is:

Leif Edling: Bass

Mats "Mappe" Björkman: Guitars

Jan Lindh: Drums

Lars "Lasse" Johansson: Guitars

Johan Langquist: Vocals

STITCHED UP HEART Releases Lyric Video For New Song 'Straitjacket'

STITCHED UP HEART has released the official lyric video for a new song called "Straitjacket". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming full-length album "Darkness", due out March 13 via Another Century.

"'Straitjacket' is an anti-love story about a messy love life and a masochistic heart," states STITCHED UP HEART frontwoman Alecia "Mixi" Demner.

STITCHED UP HEART will join Sebastian Bach as direct support for on his spring North American tour, making stops along the way at major rock festivals such as Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville, Rock Fest and more.

"Darkness" features previously released tracks such as "Lost" (featuring Sully Erna of GODSMACK), "Darkness", "Problems", "Bones", "Crooked Halo", "Dead Roses", "This Skin", and their most recent music video and single "Warrior". The LP was produced by FROM FIRST TO LAST singer/guitarist Matt Good (producer of ASKING ALEXANDRIA and HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD) and is available to purchase in various CD, vinyl, and merchandise bundles exclusively at CenturyMedia.store. The bundles include a "Darkness" t-shirt, logo pullover hoodie, logo beanie, and signed "Darkness" lithograph posters (limited to 200). STITCHED UP HEART also partnered with Guitars 4 Vets to release a limited-edition "Warrior" t-shirt and digital download bundle. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the non-profit.

Demner told Live Metal about STITCHED UP HEART's decision to release one new song every few weeks until "Darkness" arrives: "The way that music is these days, you give people an album, and then they play that album for a month, and then they're done and they've moved on to the next whatever's new. But if you give them the whole album, you've spent, 30, 60, 100 grand — however much the producer is, however much everybody negotiated the price, blah blah blah; it costs a lot of money. You give them everything you've got, and you're, like, 'All right, well, I've got nothing new for a while.' I figured — and the powers that be had brought this to my attention — let's do a song at a time and see what happens and keep things going and moving along."

She continued: "Not too many rock bands have really tried that. I believe that music will start going into that, where people release smaller segments or just one song at a time, because the way people’s attention span is. You give people a whole album, and then it's done and moved on. Now, we still have a whole album. If we had released it already, then you guys would already have it and that's it. But this also is cool because it separates every song that we release individually. They all get their own lyric video, instead of that one song on the album that you all forget about. They all get their own moment."

Next ATREYU Album Will Include 'Some Very Dark '80s Gothic Pop Elements,' Says ALEX VARKATZAS

ATREYU frontman Alex Varkatzas has revealed to the "Scars And Guitars" podcast that the band recently completed the first of two three-week sessions writing and recording the follow-up to 2018's "In Our Wake" album. The band is once again working with producer John Feldmann, who previously helmed "In Our Wake" and 2007's breakout album "Lead Sails, Paper Anchor".

Asked if ATREYU spends a lot of time in pre-production before entering the studio, Alex said (hear audio below): "There is zero pre-production. We're fucking ballers, man. We've been doing this for so long. I write lyrics in my sleep. Literally, I wake up and I have a line and I write them down. And there's two songs from this record — if they make the record, of course — that is literally me waking up in the middle of the night, and I have to write down lyrics or something. But that's the way it goes, man.

"We've been doing this — it's 20 years," he continued. "We're not good at a whole bunch, but we're okay at this. And John Feldmann, our producer — he did 'Lead Sails' — he has crazy energy. He has more energy than us, and he's a few years older than us. And so when we get around him, it pumps us up. And no matter what, we write one song a day. Every now and then, we crank out two songs a day. So, I think in three weeks — realistically, we work on the weekdays; we don't work on the weekend — I think we had 18 or 19 songs. And that's just in our first block. So we'll come back and we'll probably write at least another dozen songs."

According to Alex, the upcoming ATREYU album will be "that next step in maturity" for the Orange County metalcore act. "To me, in a way — and this is a fucking weird way to sell a record, because it doesn't sound like this — it has some very dark '80s gothic pop elements. And I don't mean 'pop' as in happy[-sounding music]. It's just depressing-sounding, rocking shit."

Varkatzas also touched upon the lyrical themes covered in the new ATREYU songs, saying that "it's cool, because especially right now, there's so much… If you're a comedian and a musician, there's lots of good inspiration every day — especially in America, unfortunately. Actually, all over the world, but in American especially, it's ripe with things that make you feel something, whatever it is. Maybe you're happy about it, maybe you're sad about it — it's not my place to speak for people. But you feel some shit right now. And I think comedians handle it by making fun of it, and I handle it by making music and words about it. So, it's a good time to be inspired."

Last August, ATREYU released a deluxe edition of "In Our Wake" via Spinefarm Records. The new version featured the original "In Our Wake" album, along with seven additional tracks. The bonus material included B-sides from the sessions for both "In Our Wake" and 2015's "Long Live", along with alternate versions of the title track and "The Time Is Now" from "In Our Wake". The deluxe edition featured completely redesigned artwork and a total of 19 songs.

ALTER BRIDGE's MARK TREMONTI Picks JAMES HETFIELD As His 'Rock God': 'He Carries Himself The Way That I Like To Carry Myself'

ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti was the featured guest on BBC's "The Rock Show With Johnnie Walker" during the "Rock God" segment. Mark picked METALLICA's James Hetfield and stated about his choice: "I would say my personal biggest rock god, that person I'm always nervous when I'm in the vicinity of that I looked up to as a musician, as a songwriter, as a performed was James Hetfield, frontman in my favorite band of all time, METALLICA. I've gotten the privilege to meet him a handful of times, and it was a dream come true to be able to open for them as many times as I have.

"I look sidestage when we were performing, I think it was Download festival, and watching James looking over our set.

"He's that artist for me that I've always really looked up to," Mark added. "I think he's a great frontman, great guitar player, great songwriter, and just carries himself the way that I like to carry myself. So many props to you, James."

Last year, Tremonti told the "TODDCast Podcast" that "Master Of Puppets" was the first METALLICA album he heard. "That's my favorite record of all time," he said.

Asked to name the best track on that record, Mark said: "For me, it's 'Orion'. That's the one that brings me back to my childhood the most. I was always a huge fan of METALLICA instrumentals. And I was really fond of the 'Black Album,' but there wasn't one on there. 'The Call Of Ktulu' from 'Ride The Lightning' was another one of my favorite METALLICA songs, I thought they did those very well."

Back in 2012, Tremonti named Hetfield and his METALLICA bandmate Kirk Hammett as two guitarists that influenced his riffs. "That down stroke thing they do is one of my core sounds — my rhythm playing is very rooted in the METALLICA-based style," he explained.

ALTER BRIDGE's latest album, "Walk The Sky", was released in October via Napalm Records.

ZZ TOP’s BILLY GIBBONS Explains “Chancy” Move When Opening For JIMI HENDRIX

Speaking to U.K.’s Express, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons reveals the risky move he made when opening for Jimi Hendrix with his band The Moving Sidewalks.

The 70-year-old admitted: “Oh man! We hit it off in a rather unexpected manner.”

“Our contract required us to play for 45 minutes and at that time the only way we could complete the run was to include two numbers by Jimi Hendrix [laughs]. Which was kinda chancy I must say. And I remember wrapping up the set, coming off the stage, there was Jimi in the shadows – off to the side with his arms folded.

“But he was grinning and as I passed by he grabbed me, and said, ‘I like you, you’ve got a lot of nerve!’’

Gibbons’ recounting of opening for Hendrix is featured in the ZZ Top documentary That Little Ol’ Band From Texas.

ZZ Top’s big, brazen blues-rock, combined with a surrealist charisma that continues to intrigue fans, catapulted the band into worldwide stardom. Their history is deeply explored in ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas, which will be released via Eagle Rock Entertainment on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally on February 28. The release is available along with exclusive That Little Ol’ Band merchandise bundles, here.

Watch "Brown Sugar" (Live From Gruene Hall) from the upcoming release, below:

Produced by the award-winning Banger Films (Super Duper Alice Cooper; Peabody/ International Emmy award-winning Netflix series Hip-Hop Evolution), ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas, presented through the unique Banger Films lens, delivers the story of this power trio in an artistic style that complements the distinctive ZZ Top vibe. Originally premiered at a sold-out showing at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood earlier this year, the film experienced a successful 10-week theatrical run via 150 screens nationally.

It unveils the story of three teenage blues musicians: guitarist Billy F Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard, as they went on to become international sensations. The film traces ZZ Top’s rich legacy, from their bar gig beginnings to their defining MTV era and meteoric rise to fame. In addition to interviews with the band members, the disc features conversations with such high-profile fans as Billy Bob Thornton and Joshua Homme (Queens Of the Stone Age), as well as never-before-seen archival footage. Shot exclusively for this film, an intimate ZZ Top performance at the historic Gruene Hall – the oldest dance hall in Texas – is intercut throughout the documentary.

Alongside the film, the DVD & Blu-ray also includes two live performance segments. 18 minutes of the Gruene Hall performance, along with the Ham Estate Archive, which spotlights rare pre-Eliminator ZZ Top concert footage from 1976 and 1981, complete the set.

Currently celebrating their half-century career with extensive tours of both Europe and North America, ZZ Top continues to inspire fans 50 years after their inception. That Little Ol’ Band From Texas takes a deep dive into the band’s history that’s truly an interesting ride.

SEPULTURA Bassist: 'As Long As We Are Healthy And Strong, I Believe We Will Continue'

In a recent interview with Metal Imperium, SEPULTURA bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. was asked if he and his bandmates have ever thought about retiring after a career that has already lasted more than three and a half decades. He responded: "Not yet. I know this time will come, but there is still this motivation, this desire to be on the road.

"I know that we have been in the band for 36 years; it's a long career," he continued. "I know that time will come, but I hope it will take a few years yet. We still have health and energy to be on stage, which is what we love to do the most. For me, it's the best and most important part. Of course, a record marks a story, a period of our life, but the good thing, in my opinion, is to be on the road, to be traveling these countries, to present each album, to meet new people, different cultures. This is still very strong and present in our career."

Paulo added: "I hope we will be on the road for a few more years. I don't know how many, but you never know what might happen tomorrow. As long as we are healthy and strong, I believe we will continue on the road."

SEPULTURA's latest album, "Quadra", was released on February 7 via Nuclear Blast Records. The disc is a concept effort created at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios with renowned producer Jens Bogren. It will be followed by a world tour starting in March.

SEPULTURA comprises Paulo, singer Derrick Green, guitarist Andreas Kisser and drummer Eloy Casagrande.

The band was formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, who are no longer with SEPULTURA.

IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON: 'We're Never Going To F**king Retire'

Fan-filmed video footage of Bruce Dickinson's one-man speaking show on February 8 at Sala Radio in Bucharest, Romaniacan be seen below. The performance, dubbed "What Does This Button Do?" after the IRON MAIDEN singer's autobiography of the same name, featured an unscripted question-and-answer session with fans.

Asked by one fan what will happen to IRON MAIDEN after the current members retire, Dickinson responded: "I like that. There's always hope. 'After the current members retire,' there'll be a whole load of IRON members. We won't even have to fucking holograms. You know what I mean? You can actually have real IRON MAIDEN members that kind of look like us but are not us. That's good. I like that. It's not a bad idea. Then we can just sit back and [collect] royalties and do no work. Good idea! It'll never happen, because we're never going to fucking retire."

Last July, IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris also told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation" that there has been no talk of MAIDEN retiring anytime soon, despite the fact that all the members are in their 60s.

"We all feel that if we feel we're not cutting it anymore, then we'll discuss it and that will probably be the end of it," he explained. "But at the moment, we don't feel like that. We feel that we definitely still are pulling our weight, so to speak. We're just doing well. So far so good. I don't wanna tempt fate, but we are doing good."

Dickinson joined IRON MAIDEN in 1981, replacing Paul Di'Anno, and made his recording debut with the band on the 1982 album "The Number Of The Beast". He quit the band in 1993, pursuing several solo projects, and rejoined in 1999.

Last December, rumors spread that IRON MAIDEN had already completed work on a new studio album.

The British heavy metal legends haven't released any fresh music since 2015's "The Book Of Souls" LP, which was recorded in late 2014 in Paris, France with longtime producer Kevin "Caveman" Shirley.

"What Does This Button Do?", landed at No. 10 on the New York Times "Hardcover Nonfiction" best sellers list. It was released in the U.S. in October 2017 via Dey Street Books (formerly It Books), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.

"What Does This Button Do?" is Dickinson's third book. He has previously published two satirical novels, "The Adventures Of Lord Iffy Boatrace" about the English upper classes and "The Missionary Position" about televangelism.

Dickinson, who turned 61 last August, has several other interests beyond music. He is a licensed commercial pilot and owns an aviation company. He has also done some acting and brewed beer.
