Exclusive: BLOOD RED THRONE Premiere “Bloodity” Video

“Bloodity” is the new official video of Norwegian death metal masters Blood Red Throne, premiered through BraveWords! “Bloodity” is a take of BRT’s current album Fit To Kill, out now via Mighty Music. The video was made by Ivan “Meathook” Gujic and Meathook Productions.

Guitar player Meathook has compiled many clips from his own camera, as well as videos sent to the band from fans around the world. The video is a part of a longer video to be released in July that takes you to the center of what it’s like to hang with Blood Red Throne. It doesn't really show Blood Red Throne from a good side, but it is indeed, the right side.

About “Bloodity”, singer Bolt states “‘Bloodity’ is yet again a title with a word I made up. This one is a nod to Bowie who passed, and the work title for me was ‘Face Bloodity’, but that was not clever, and it became ‘Bloodity’, that I didn't tell anyone before was inspired by ‘Space Oddity’. The song is about my never ending hatred for religious warfare, death and terror for ‘god’ and so on. It doesn't shine through by ear, since my singing is not so understandable, but I always try to write clever lyrics getting my thoughts or emotions out, or describing fictive ugliness to empress a certain emotion on the ‘reader’ in the booklets.”

Line-up:
Død - guitar
Meathook - guitar
Bolt - vocals
Freddy - drums
Gunner – bass

MIKE PORTNOY Walks You Through His Vinyl Collection; Episode #3 Streaming (Video)

Mike Portnoy is walking you through his latest vinyl collection is a series of eight videos. Episode #3 focuses on new reissues, F - L. Watch below:

Episode #1 focuses on new reissues, A - B:

Episode #2 focuses on new reissues, B - F:

BPMD - the new juggernaut featuring Portnoy, along with heavy metal icons Bobby Blitz (Overkill) on vocals, bassist Mark Menghi (Metal Allegiance) and guitarist Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head) - released their full-length album of '70s rock covers, American Made, last Friday via Napalm Records.

It’s evident within the initial seconds of BPMD’s American Made, as the legendary Bobby Blitz chants the introductory lyrics to Ted Nugent’s “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang” in his signature skyscraper-high howl, that he and his equally iconic bandmates are here to have a damn good time. Featuring 10 unforgettable rock classics reimagined as heavy bangers, American Made is a party on wax. Tracks such as the raucous “Toys in the Attic” (Aerosmith) and rager-ready “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers” (ZZ Top) prove that BPMD not only manages to capture the essence of each original track on the album, but skillfully transforms each classic into an unforgettable metallic anthem for a new age. The seasoned quartet flex their musical muscles on renowned classics such as “Saturday Night Special” (Lynyrd Skynyrd), “We’re an American Band” (Grand Funk Railroad) and “Walk Away” (James Gang), and introduce a whole new heavy generation to deeper cuts like blues standard “Evil” (Cactus/Willie Dixon) and “Never In My Life” (Mountain). Channeling nostalgia while maintaining a fresh attitude, American Made is a summer soundtrack for all ages.

After connecting over their mutual love for the classics and forming their current line-up, the members of BPMD traveled to drummer Mike Portnoy’s home studio in Pennsylvania and set up shop. Since the whole concept of the band was born the night Menghi was listening to “Saturday Night Special”, BPMD were determined to record the song for the album. Beyond that, each musician picked two ‘70s rock tracks and everyone had to learn them!

American Made was mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis, also known for his work with Metal Allegiance (featuring Mark Menghi), as well as artists such as DevilDriver, Trivium, and many others.

American Made is available in the following formats:

- 1-CD Jewel Case
- 1-LP Gatefold Black
- 1-LP Gatefold Red/White/Blue Splatter (NPR Mailorder exclusive)
- American Made T-Shirt + Jewel Case Bundle (NPR Mailorder exclusive)
- American Made T-Shirt + Vinyl Black Bundle (NPR Mailorder exclusive / North America ONLY)

SEPULTURA Performs Lockdown Version Of “Desperate Cry” With OVERKILL’s JASON BITTNER, SHADOWS FALL’s FILIPE ROA

On this week's SepulQuarta session, Sepultura performs the Arise classic "Desperate Cry" with Overkill's Jason Bittner and Shadows Fall's Filipe Roa.

Seplutura also welcomed Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour, Hellyeah, Soulfly) with a Q&A session, together with his longtime friend Derrick Green.

Derrick comments: "It will be a great pleasure to be doing a Q&A with our brother and old friend Roy Mayorga. I’ve known Roy from back in the day from living in the LES ( Lower East Side) N.Y.C. We share many mutual friends from the scene and we have had the pleasure of jamming together live on stage numerous times. We will have plenty to talk about and to reminisce about the incredible times we’ve shared. Definitely tune in, you won’t want to miss this!"

Andreas Kisser about the idea of the SepulQuarta sessions, earlier: “SepulQuarta was born out of the necessity to express ourselves in a different way since we’re all facing a new situation. We came with this idea still influenced by the concept of our last album 'Quadra', using geometry, numerology and numbers. Wednesday, which is the fourth day of the week, was chosen for an event."

An all-out metal rollercoaster, 'Manifest' does not hold back in any regard — from the first second to the last, it is brimful with some of the heaviest AMARANTHE riffs to date, soaring and emotional vocals and unrelenting metallic fury. We hope you will enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it!"

AMARANTHE will share some impressive visuals accompanying the first single "Viral" — celebrating the beginning of a new era with a breathtaking music video that will premiere tonight at 7 p.m. BST on the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel.

AMARANTHE comments: "Finally we can unleash 'Viral' upon an unsuspecting world! It is one of the grooviest and downright heaviest songs in AMARANTHE's history — it is the very epitome of what we have always stood for: massive choruses, a thundering rhythm section and a constant will to push our sound forward into the future. 'Viral' was prophetically titled before the onset of the current worldwide situation, and so we felt compelled to tie it in lyrically with this. Welcome to a new era of AMARANTHE history — welcome to 'Viral'!"

"Manifest" track listing:

AMARANTHE has spent the last decade establishing itself as a formidable, positive and fervently melodic force for metallic good. From their explosive self-titled debut in 2011 to the more sophisticated, streamlined likes of 2014's "Massive Addictive" and its immaculate follow-up "Maximalism" (2016), AMARANTHE has masterfully blurred the lines between melodic metal, crushing brutality, cinematic sweep and futuristic sparkle. Led by the endlessly ingenious songwriting of guitarist Olof Mörck and powerhouse vocalist Elize Ryd, their rise to prominence has been a joy to behold.

Widely acclaimed as a dazzling live act, the Swedes reached a new peak of creativity on 2018's hugely successful "Helix": an album that pushed the band's vision to new heights, breadths and depths, while showcasing the brilliance of Elize and her co-vocalists, Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson and recent recruit Nils Molin.

Not just a glorious return but a wholesale upgrade for their exuberant sound, "Manifest" is simply the most daring, dynamic and unforgettable album that AMARANTHE have released to date. The perfect antidote to the nagging anxieties plaguing us all in these troubled times, it's a technicolor celebration of metal's ageless power, blazing with all of life's colors and chaos, but delivered with utmost artistry and skill.

PERFECT PLAN To Release Time For A Miracle Album In September; "Better Walk Alone" Music Video Streaming

Sweden's Perfect Plan have announced the release of their upcoming sophomore album, Time For A Miracle, on September 4 via Frontiers Music Srl. The first single and accompanying music video, "Better Walk Alone", is out now. Watch the clip below.

Pre-order/save Time For A Miracle here, T-shirt bundles are available at the US store.

Vocalist Kent Hilli says: "We are so excited about Time For A Miracle and can’t wait to release it to the world. We think this album really shows the band’s diversity, progress and development since the first album. It’s definitely a huge step forward for us in terms of production and songwriting and I think everyone involved has done a ”personal best”. We had the blessing to work with guys like Mårten Eriksson who mixed the album and Svante Forsbäck (Rammstein, Volbeat, etc.) at Chartmakers, who mastered the album. It’s a slightly heavier and bluesier album with really cool guitar riffs and Rolf’s guitar playing is out of this world on this album. But it is a diverse album and contains a different range of songs between classic AOR, bluesy rockers, ballads and some harder stuff...all with strong melodies, hooks and arrangements. The album title and title track are also very current as we are going through some hard times in the world as we speak..."

Of first single "Better Walk Alone", Hilli continues: ”'Better Walk Alone' is a song that is very personal to me as I wrote it during a bit of a down period in my life. It’s about coming to a dead end in a relationship and coming to the decision that the only way forward is to go separate ways. I think it’s a song that most of us can relate to concerning any kind of relationship. It’s a great ”rocker” of a song and It was great fun making the video. Our video producer Marcus Stridsberg (Targa Production) is amazing. He has truly captured what the song is about in the video."

Sometimes the stars align and create a perfect balance of talent within a group. A band like Perfect Plan is the “perfect" (pun intended) example of that: a superb singer, a well-oiled group of experienced players, and great songwriting talent with a knack for unforgettable melodies and driving rhythms. Add to that the right single released at the right time and Perfect Plan’s emergence as immediate rising stars on the melodic rock scene is no surprise. The song that “built” their reputation is of course the awesome “In and Out of Love,” the first single/video that kicked off the promotion of the band’s 2018 debut album All Rise, released on Frontiers in April of that year.

Now the band returns with their sophomore release and, hyperbole aside, this is a major step forward across the board. Opting for a slightly heavier and more “in your face” sound, Perfect Plan have matured and created an outstanding balance of melodies and energy, with the obvious references to the sound of the classics (think Foreigner, Survivor, The Storm, Giant, etc.) and Scandinavian AOR with a recognizable and personal feel.

The band features the extraordinary singer Kent Hilli together with the extremely talented musicians Rolf Nordström on guitar, Fredrik Forsberg on drums, Leif Ehlin on keyboards, and new bassist Mats Byström.

Perfect Plan are now ready to capitalize on the acclaim of their debut and become one of your new favorite melodic rock bands.

Tracklisting:

"Time For A Miracle"
"Better Walk Alone"
"Heart To Stone"
"Fighting To Win"
"Everytime We Cry"
"What About Love"
"Nobody’s Fool"
"Living On The Run"
"Just One Wish"
"Don't Blame It On Love Again"
"Give A Little Lovin’"
"Don’t Leave Me Here Alone"

WHITECHAPEL Releases Animated Video For 'Doom Woods'

Knoxville, Tennessee death metallers WHITECHAPEL have released a new animated video for the song "Doom Woods", which appears on the band's latest album, "The Valley".

Guitarist Alex Wade comments: "We are excited to release the animated video for 'Doom Woods' off our 2019 release 'The Valley'.

"While we have some time off from touring, we thought it would be a great time to give a visual representation to the closing track from the album. We were blown away with what the design team was able to create and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. It really gives the track a new depth."

WHITECHAPEL has also announced its rescheduled "Burn To Emerge" USA tour with AS I LAY DYING and SHADOW OF INTENT. Originally planned for May/June 2020, the trek was cancelled due to COVID-19; any tickets purchased for these initial shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates, which will take place in February-March 2021.

Produced once again by Mark Lewis (CANNIBAL CORPSE, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) and featuring artwork by Branca Studio, "The Valley"'s title is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley (west of Knoxville) where vocalist Phil Bozeman grew up. Set against this backdrop, he approaches his subject matter unflinchingly, building upon everything that came before, making it clear that he has survived that which he was forced to endure and is not afraid to confront it.

"Phil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that," said Wade, who alongside his bandmates, stands a hundred percent behind everything their vocalist has to say. "I feel our music is Phil's release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well."

Anyone throwing "The Valley" on for the first time will immediately recognize it as the work of WHITECHAPEL, yet, as has been the case with each release, there is also evolution in play. "Sound-wise, it's all over the place," Bozeman states plainly. "There's aggression, and then you're hit with ominous and emotional guitar riffs. It's mean, but then transfers to soft and inviting. It's a whirlwind of emotions throughout."

Video Premiere: DORO's 'Brickwall'

"Brickwall", the new video from German metal queen Doro Pesch, can be seen below. The track is being released digitally via Nuclear Blast and on vinyl on July 31.

One and a half years after the release of her extremely successful double album "Forever Warriors, Forever United", Doro has already started working on material for a new album.

"Since February, I've been back in the studio in the USA," she says. "There are some pretty awesome things happening in these writing sessions.

"'Brickwall' is a harbinger for the upcoming album, that will be released in 2021", Doro explains. "I want to give my fans a taste of what it's going to be like — and the song also fits quite well with these dark times.

"The lyrics are about unbreakable, unconditional love for a person in deep trouble. Even though it isn't always easy to deal with that person, you still do everything to support them and get through the dark times side by side — even if you literally have to tear down walls."

"Brickwall" was recorded in Hamburg together with Andreas Bruhn (ex-THE SISTERS OF MERCY) and will also be available as colored seven-inch vinyl in gold and silver limited to 300 copies each.

"The B-side will feature a great live version of 'Soldier Of Metal'," Doro promises. "The song was recorded during our recent 'Forever Warriors' tour in winter, where the song was celebrated by the fans every single evening. It's supposed to help fans remember the feeling of a live show and raise anticipation for the next tour, that can hopefully start this autumn."

As previously reported, Doro will perform the second of two drive-in concerts in Germany this month while complying with the country's social distancing regulations. The show will be held on June 28 at Bottrop's Autokino am Moviepark.

KILL THE LIGHTS Release Cover Of TESTAMENT Classic "Into The Pit"; Music Video

New Fearless Records signing, Kill The Lights, which features former members of Bullet For My Valentine and Throw The Fight, have shared their cover of Testament's 1988-released classic thrash anthem, "Into The Pit". Watch the video below.

To capture the essence and aesthetic of the time period that the original was released, the band crafted a video that has an authentic VHS vibe.

"There were a ton of cover songs options we could have gone with, and we did consider covering a pop song in our style," shares drummer Moose Thomas. "But we decided to cover 'Into the Pit' by the mighty Testament purely because it's a classic song that's fun to play. We wanted to stay true to the original as closely as possible, to pay our respects to metal royalty. A great song by an amazing band."

The band previously shared the video for new song "Shed My Skin". Fans can also watch the video for "Plagues".

HOUSE OF LORDS: 'The Both Of Us' Music Video

The official music video for "The Both Of Us", a new song from HOUSE OF LORDS, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's 10th studio album, "New World - New Eyes", which was released on June 12 via Frontiers Music Srl. Recorded and produced by the band's singer and mastermind, James Christian, the follow-up to 2017's "Saint Of The Lost Souls" has an incredible flow of up-tempo and mid-tempo rockers mixed with power ballads, which lean a bit more toward keyboards this time around, but without compromising the band's trademark sound, which is based around Jimi Bell's guitar work.

"New World - New Eyes" is already one of the year's most anticipated melodic rock releases and will not disappoint fans of the band or genre. Christian's well-crafted and smooth vocals bring the band's craft to new heights. Bell is on fire and the melodic riffs throughout the album will leave you breathless. Chris Tristram on bass is more solid than ever and B.J. Zampa brings a solid and powerful rhythm foundation to HOUSE OF LORDS.

This time, the band has cooperated with none other than Mark Spiro (GIANT, BAD ENGLISH, CHEAP TRICK) on the songwriting of most of the songs. More collaboration came via Tommy Denander, Chris Pelcer and Richard Hymas.

HOUSE OF LORDS debuted in 1989 with the release of its self-titled album, a record which is still regarded as one of the best arena rock releases of the '80s. The colossal sound, the soaring vocals of Christian, and instrumental capabilities of the band (which featured ex-ANGEL and GIUFFRIA keyboardist Gregg Giuffria, along with luminaries Lanny Cordola, Chuck Wright and Ken Mary), were reminiscent of such frontrunners as WHITESNAKE, DEEP PURPLE and VAN HALEN and immediately brought the band to the attention of the mainstream music media and the masses of '80s hard rock fans.

With their sophomore release, "Sahara", HOUSE OF LORDS had considerable radio and video chart success with their cover of BLIND FAITH's "Can't Find My Way Home". After a tour with NELSON in 1991, the group disbanded, eventually coming back together with a new lineup (featuring original members Giuffria and Christian) in 1992 with "Demon's Down". With the change in musical climate at the time, HOUSE OF LORDS went into hibernation until the original lineup came back together in 2000, releasing the controversial "Power And The Myth", an album which featured a sound leaning more towards progressive hard rock with '70s rock influences. After a short European tour, Christian decided to go back to the trademark arena rock sound of HOUSE OF LORDS, putting together a new lineup with the blessing of founding member Giuffria, who opted out right before the release of "Power And The Myth". New members Bell on guitars and Zampa on drums supplied a true powerhouse sound to the fifth studio album, "World Upside Down", a record which caused a real stir in the hard rock and melodic rock scenes. That album was followed up by the equally impressive "Come To My Kingdom" in 2008, "Cartesian Dreams" in 2009, "Big Money" in 2011, "Precious Metal" in 2014, and "Saint Of The Lost Souls" in 2017.

The band has toured relentlessly in Europe and the States in support of their releases and has now become a true staple of the hard rock scene on both continents.

"New World - New Eyes" track listing:

01. New World New Eyes

02. Change (What's It Gonna Take)

03. One More

04. Perfectly (You And I)

05. The Both Of Us

06. Chemical Rush

MAX CAVALERA To Discuss Inspiration Behind Classic SEPULTURA And SOULFLY Songs In New Internet Series 'Max Trax'

Former SEPULTURA and current SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera has announced the launch of "Max Trax", a twice-weekly Internet video series in which he will discuss the inspiration for many of the songs spanning his nearly 40-year music career.

Cavalera, who is also involved with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and KILLER BE KILLED, broke the news of his online project in a video message posted to SOULFLY social media earlier today.

He said: "What's up, everybody? Max Cavalera here, SOULFLY tribe. I'm announcing the launch of 'Max Trax'. It's a very raw way that I'm gonna go through all the songs I recorded all my life — all the riffs; 'riff vortex.' So I'm gonna explain how the riff was created, I'm gonna explain where the idea came for the riff, I'm gonna talk about the lyrics. I'm gonna dissect in a very raw way — nothing high technology, none of that bullshit. It's gonna be all done here [at home], with my equipment that I always record with; a drum machine. I'm gonna tell you what the inspiration for the songs come from, all the way back from 'Funeral Rites', 'Morbid Visions', going through everything — 'Refuse/Resist', 'Propaganda', fucking 'Roots Bloody Roots', 'Eye For An Eye', 'Jump Da Fuck Up'. All of them have amazing, cool stories. You guys are gonna love it. I promise you it's gonna be so fucking fun and cool and exciting. And I'll play along, if you wanna learn how to play those songs too."

He continued: "So I'm gonna be doing this every Tuesday and every Saturday — it's gonna be a different song every Tuesday and every Saturday — around two o'clock, more or less, West Coast time. The first one I'm doing is 'Eye For An Eye' with the original lyrics that you guys don't know; I had different lyrics for it. It's gonna be really, really fun; it's gonna be really cool. I can't wait to share this with you. So watch out for 'Max Trax' coming at you. We're gonna enjoy. The shit's gonna be fucking awesome. Fuck shit up! Max Cavalera. Stay metal."

Last month, SOULFLY released a new digital EP, "Live Ritual NYC MMXIX". The effort was recorded at The Gramercy in New York City on February 11, 2019 while SOULFLY was on tour in support of its most recent full-length album, "Ritual". The audio for the EP was mixed and mastered by Charles Elliott (ABYSMAL DAWN) from Tastemaker Audio. Cover artwork was comprised of live photos taken by Rodrigo Fredes.

"Ritual" was released in October 2018 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2015's "Archangel" was produced, recorded and mixed by Josh Wilbur (KILLER BE KILLED, LAMB OF GOD, GOJIRA). Cover artwork was painted by artist Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH, SODOM). Additional booklet art was handled by Marcelo Vasco (SLAYER, HATEBREED, KREATOR), who also handled the package design. The album features multiple guests, including Randy Blythe (LAMB OF GOD).

Watch BRING ME THE HORIZON's Music Video For New Single 'Parasite Eve'

As we emerge from isolation, we all have our different stories to tell. For two-time Grammy nominee BRING ME THE HORIZON, this has been a time to reflect, create, and record.

Lockdown triggered a writing process that began to align and merge the boundaries between isolation and the virus. They found a way to continue to write where it felt like frontman Oli Sykes and fellow band member Jordan Fish were in the room together. Through a series of video calls and remote recording, they drew inspiration from the situation and thus emerged new single "Parasite Eve".

Oli says about the track: "'Parasite Eve' came from an idea to write a survival horror song, but as the pandemic started to develop, the parallels were so similar it felt so close to the bone we decided to shelve it. As time went on, we started to feel how relevant it was and that instead of shying from it, we should address the dark side, embrace it, and process what's going on… 'Parasite Eve' is our message of hope, wrapped in sadness and anger."

Acutely aware of how unique a time they were living through, the band set about documenting their entire new writing, recording, and release process, which they are rolling out via a series of YouTube shorts. The latest installment chronicles the making of the "Parasite Eve" official video. This unique video series invites fans and the curious into the world they created during the pandemic.

"Parasite Eve" is the first song from a series of EPs BRING ME THE HORIZON will drop over the coming months. The track was produced by Oli and Jordan with additional production from "Doom" and "Doom Eternal" composer Mick Gordon. A big fan of the computer game, Oli reached out to Mick and asked if he would be involved. Once on board, they worked remotely on the track to add a truly unique and cinematic element to the single.

"This song is going to be part of a record that has the same feel along with [last year's single] 'Ludens'," Oli told NME. "We've just been winging it and recording from lockdown, and now we're going to make four different records over the next year and they'll all share the name 'Post Human'. They'll each be tonally different with their own sound and mood. That's one thing we've never really done. There's often been an over-arching theme on our records, but the music has always felt like a collage. That's cool and I like it, but sometimes you want a soundtrack for a certain occasion and emotion.

"The idea behind 'Post Human' is looking at how we've stepped out of evolution and the food chain. If we can do that, then we can take responsibility for what we've done to the planet and become something better than what humans are right now."

BRING ME THE HORIZON has spent the last few weeks writing and recording new music remotely, releasing a series of videos that show how the band has managed to work on the songs during the coronavirus pandemic.

BRING ME THE HORIZON's acclaimed sixth album "Amo" came out more than a year ago.

FROM HELL Share “The Witch” Single

Metal horror band, From Hell, returns in 2020 with a new album called Rats & Ravens. Staying true to the vision that each release is a concept album, Aleister Sinn (the live persona of George Anderson, creator/writer of From Hell), releases an album both dark and sinister. New single and video, "The Witch", is streaming below:

"The story is about a witch who desires children of her own and steals them from the villages nearby. When she kills them, she traps the ravens who come for their souls. She keeps the children on this earth, reanimates their corpses with rats and calls them Lilium." - Aleister Sinn

Mid 13th Century… somewhere in eastern Europe: “A father disturbs an evil in the east. A witch comes to steal his son and the children of the village to make them her own. She sacrifices them and reanimates the dead with the blessings from the god of vermin. With rats, she brings them back to life and calls them Lilium.”

Rats & Ravens is out now; order on iTunes and other digital retailers here.

Rats & Ravens features Aleister Sinn on vocals and guitar, Wes Anderson on drums, Stephen Paul Goodwin on bass and Steve Smyth on lead guitar. As the band rehearsed the songs with Sinn, the richness of what Wes, Steve, and Stephen brought to the material from their varied backgrounds of musical experience added a depth to each song that was later realized in the final recordings.

From Hell recorded the album with Greg Wilkinson (High on Fire, Necrot, Autopsy) at Earhammer Studio in Oakland, CA. Sinn says, “When we returned from tour in Russia 2017, we recorded two new songs with Greg and we really liked working with Greg and what we heard. He records bands in a more natural way than many metal engineers and producers and doesn’t rely on sound replacement, but captures great tones to start with and the final mixes of our album came out very natural sounding, heavy and produced, but not over-produced. I personally am pleased.”

Mastering was handled by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Annhilator, Cynic) at MaorAppelbaum Mastering in Los Angeles.

George Anderson (aka Aleister Sinn) has played guitar and vocals for the SF Bay area bands Down Factor and Grandma, a tribute to King Diamond. Wes Anderson has played drums for Les Claypool, Idiot Flesh, Blind Illusion, Young Lions (Noah of Neurosis), SOSA, and Kehoe Nation. Steve Smyth has played guitar for Testament, Nevermore, Dragonlord, Forbidden, Vicious Rumors and One Machine. Stephen Paul Goodwin on bass has played for Vicious Rumors, Diablo Dukes, Journey Unauthorized and has played or recorded with Brad Gillis, Mick Mestec, Eric Peterson, Will Carroll, Phil Bennett, Sticks Hooper, Eric Barnett and Salar Nader.

Rats & Ravens is the follow up to the first From Hell album Ascent From Hell, which is as heavy as it is epic. The album tells a horror story about a corpse that wakes up in Hell only to find he must go back to earth, recover his soul that still lives inside another body and drag it back to Hell. Ascent From Hell featured metal icons Paul Bostaph, Steve Smyth, and Damien Sisson.

Guitar gear company SoloDallas recently teamed up with guitarist Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) for a cover of the AC/DC classic "Hells Bells" (found below). "Gone Shootin'" is taken from AC/DC's fifth album, Powerage, released in 1978.

In 2019, Hollywood Vampires completed a triumphant seven-city North American tour which included a sell-out show at the famous Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the group was voted “Best Performance” of 2018 at London’s Wembley Arena.

An exclusive glimpse behind the scenes on the road can be found in the video for “I Want My Now” off of the album Rise. Watch below:

“'Ghosted’ has been a staple in our live set for years now. However, fans consider it a 'lost track' as it never received a proper release. We never put it out on an album and people always ask where they can hear it other than on YouTube. We are beyond excited to finally introduce ‘Ghosted’ into the streaming universe so it can continue to crush skulls as it does live. WITCH TAINT – Lyric Video “We Are Your New Gods” Streaming

From the mean streets of Gary, Indiana by way of Oslo, Norway (or maybe the other way around - we’re not sure) comes Witch Taint, the most extremely extreme and Satanic Norwegian Black Metal band from Indiana ever (probably). Today the taint tickles you yet again with the release of a new lyric video for their song "We Are Your New Gods."

Lance The King of Black Metal comments on the new video: "A lot of people ask us the meaning behind our incredible and also brütal song ‘We Are Your New Gods’ and it is very simple- we are your new gods. Like, for example, if you worship LeBron James because he is a ‘god’ at basketball, we are here to tell you he is indeed very, very good, one of the best ever even, but Witch Taint is still better at basketball and we will prove this just as soon as regular season play resumes and we are allowed on the court for even one whistle, at which point we will make both LeBron James' offensive and defensive games seem deeply flawed. Likewise, with acting, if you think Meryl Streep is the ‘best’ at acting, we are here to tell you that the one-man version of The Bridges of Madison County that our Matthias Backwards performed all alone in the back of his van last night will make you reevaluate the human condition and think Meryl Streep should be doing community theater at best. We are also the best at heavy metal, so there's that too. As for why we chose to make a lyric video instead of a regular video this time around, this was done because of our love of fonts and typefaces. If there's one or two things Witch Taint loves almost as much as Satan, it is fonts and typefaces. They are extreme!!!!”

Brought to fruition by the very unstable genius collective of Lance the King of Black Metal (rumoured to actually be comedian and musician Dave Hill) and Matthias Backwards (rumoured to actually be comedian and musician Phil Costello), Witch Taint's full-length debut Sons Of Midwestern Darkness (recorded entirely in darkness in a damp room that was also annoyingly cold even if you wore a coat and a hat and stuff the whole time) will be released tomorrow (April 10th) via Tee Pee Records. Pre-order the album here.

Sons Of Midwestern Darkness, is extremely difficult to listen to in all the best ways and features guest appearances from members of such not-nearly-as-extreme-as-Witch Taint bands as Venom, Carpathian Forest, and Autopsy and also Lance’s dog Lucifuge because they forgot to keep the basement door shut even though she will end up coming down there every single time no matter what. Sons Of Midwestern Darkness is a 12 song collection of extremely grim yet very catchy and danceable heavy metal anthems that are perfect to get hammered and sing along to with all your closest friends and enemies. There are also five extremely extreme interludes where Lance and Matthias Backwards basically school motherfuckers on various topics, which is awesome. If you think you can handle it, which- statistically speaking anyway- you probably can’t, please get yourself a copy. And by all means, come see the band live (where Lance and Matthias will be joined by the destructive tendencies of opera diva La Sinistra [rumored to actually be Jennifer Valle], bassist Dean Ripper [rumored to actually be Dean Rispler], guitarist Thomas Guillotine [rumored to actually be Tom Beaujour], and drummist Markus St. Bastard [rumored to actually be Dave Richman]) for an assault on yours and a lot of other people’s senses. However, whether you decide to kill yourself, go sit in a ditch for a while, or simply stare off into the distance for a disturbingly long amount of time as a result of having done either one of these things that is not Witch Taint’s fucking problem.

This past spring, Witch Taint began performing as a full, six-member live band (consisting mostly of members found in the darkest recesses of Craigslist) that is so extreme, brutal, grim, unholy, kvlt, and just sort of negative in general that most people can’t even handle it basically even if everyone agrees the Witch Taint T-shirts are pretty awesome and they should really consider keeping more mediums in stock but whatever.  This being the case, Witch Taint has scheduled an album release show for April 7 at the Mercury Lounge in NYC.
