Frontiers Music Srl recently announced the signing of Nevena Dordevic - an absolutely astounding Serbian singer - to the label for the release of her self-titled debut album under the moniker Nevena, on December 9.
For this album, Nevena partnered with producer Mike Palace to craft songs and have him put his magic touch on the production of this album which showcases excellent melodic rock/AOR with a more contemporary edge.
Watch a video for the song "Too Late" below, and pre-order/save Nevena here.
Nevena was first introduced to Frontiers by The Big Deal mastermind Srdjan Brankovic, who, as a fan of Nevena's vocals, thought she might be a good fit for the label. Thrilled at the prospect of working with this talented singer, the label started thinking of who might be a good producer for her to partner with. Mike Palace came to mind immediately and upon viewing videos of her vocal performances, he instantly loved her talent. Introductions were made and Nevena and Mike took it from there. Now, that fateful introduction has given life to Nevena's stunning new album.
Nevena Dordevic is a vocalist, songwriter, pianist, and educator well known in her home country for her diversity in musical styles including musical theater, jazz, pop, and rock. Born and raised in Serbia, Nevena started her musical education at the age of nine with piano and music theory lessons. As her childhood continued, she performed and won various music competitions. While still in high school, Nevena rose to fame as a performer and finalist on the first season of "First Voice of Serbia". Since then, she’s been performing in front of tens of thousands of people all over Serbia and Europe.
Despite her growth and success in Serbia, Nevena wanted to bring her musicianship and career to the next level and broaden her horizons. She enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in Boston to continue her studies that she had started in her youth. Soon after her arrival to Berklee, Nevena became very active at various concerts and venues, taking the role of lead vocal performer and joining productions with internationally recognized artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, Sheila Jordan, Theresa Thomason, Paul Winter, and many others.
Now, Nevena has partnered with Frontiers Music Srl for the release of her debut album as Nevena and could not be more thrilled to introduce herself to melodic rock fans around the globe.

Formed in 2018 by Nick Sagias on bass and vocals (Tribe of Pazuzu, Soulstorm, Overthrow, ex-Pestilence) and his brother John Sagias on drums (Soulstorm, Abyss) along with guitarists Ethan Bolduc (Jaww, Abyss), and Rick Kowalski (Soulstorm, Bound By Defiance), Toronto's Nihilist Death Cult will be unleashing their debut album entitled Death To All Tyrants this coming December.
The album features nine quick strikes to the jugular of hardcore death punk recorded and mixed by Scott Middleton (ex-Cancer Bats). It's short and sweet with a running time of just under 15 minutes, but it delivers a full dose of whiplash and speedy licks.
Earlier this summer, the band unveiled the album's title track, a song about the underdog stepping up to the tyrant and winning.
"Scott was excellent to work with and helped us a lot with hearing things we didn’t hear before, that’s what a good producer does and it was a great experience working with him. After we heard the final mixes, there was the daunting task of picking the first track we would use for the lyric video and be the first thing anyone heard of us as a ‘new’ band. We eventually settled on 'Death To All Tyrants' because it felt like it set the tone for both the sound and lyrical message we were trying to get across with NDC. We are not trying to be political or force our opinions, but we still feel we are responsible for some substance in our lyrics and I feel the messages in the lyrics are universal ideas that affect all of us in many types of situations and cultures," adds Nick Sagias.
Nihilist Death Cult was born after the ending of Toronto underground legends Soulstorm, of which Nick Sagias was a founding member.
"I felt it in my heart that I needed to get back to the roots, the fast styles I grew up on, punk, thrash, death metal after I ended Soulstorm in 2016, so I started writing in the style of death metal for what I was going to eventually call my other band Tribe of Pazuzu. During the writing phase in 2017/2018, I came up with the name Nihilist Death Cult first for this other new death metal project, after letting that sit for a month or two I realized it was a more punk-sounding name and I already had a handful of riffs in the hardcore punk style that I ended up arranging and being the first 5 songs for NDC. I sent them to my brother John and he liked it right away and was down to make it happen, which was awesome because I always loved his dbeat style and feel of drumming."
Relentless savage hardcore death punk grind, Nihilist Death Cult should appeal to most fans of band members' previous and current endeavours, whether it be Jaww, Abyss, Overthrow, Soulstorm, Tribe of Pazuzu (ft. Flo Mounier (drums -Cryptopsy), John McEntee - guitar, Incantation - first two EPs). Death To All Tyrants is meant to bring back the anger, the fire, and the brooding fast music meant to be in punk and metal.
"This album is about how the corporate sponsored news media feeds you the stories and ideas they are paid to push… it’s about the victims standing up to the tyrants… it’s about choosing your own path and not blindly following norms if they don’t suit you." says Nick Sagias.
Live, fans can expect seasoned veterans to go up on stage and put on a show to match the energy of their extreme music that's ferocious and devastating.
Recommended for fans of Poison Idea, early DRI, early Bad Brains, Nails, Terrorizer and CroMags, Nihilist Death Cult's album Death To All Tyrants is due out on December 2, 2022.

Swedish metallers AVATAR will release their ninth album, "Dance Devil Dance", on February 17 via Thirty Tigers.
The NSFW and sanguine video for the LP's title track can be seen below. The clip was directed by AVATAR's longtime director Johan Carlèn.
"I woke up to the truth one day," says vocalist Johannes Eckerström. "With my heart pounding, and a heavy breath, I knew for sure. I am Satan. The snake and forbidden fruit with a longing for knowledge, freedom and agency. My feet were moving. I thought I was running, but I was dancing. A celebration. Yes, I am the Devil, and I believe that one day you can be the Devil too. It is my hope and ambition that this song will help you find your way there. As such, it's a celebration of love, lust and democracy."
"Dance Devil Dance" was recorded in the Swedish wilderness, far away from all the perceived glamor of the big city and modern studios. Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, MR. BUNGLE, CROBOT, STONE SOUR, AMON AMARTH, URIAH HEEP) returned as producer. He first worked with AVATAR when he mixed "Hail The Apocalypse", a role he reprised on "Feathers & Flesh" before taking the wheel as producer on "Avatar Country" and "Hunter Gatherer".
AVATAR says: "You always hear bands say, 'This is our best album yet.' This is our best album yet. It is AVATAR at our most laser focused, at our most razor sharp. There's no B.S., no extra fat. Every track is a weapon and has a purpose. It's all in the title, as this album is our angriest, horniest and most spiritual release, all at once. It's a must-hear."
Last year, AVATAR announced its signing to Thirty Tigers and the launch of its own Black Waltz Records imprint. In addition, Eckerström and his bandmates unleashed four new songs which, according to the group, represented a taste of things to come.
This past August, Eckerström told TotalRock about AVATAR's upcoming LP: "My best thing to liken it to is [JUDAS PRIEST's] 'British Steel' in the sense of that… JUDAS PRIEST were always great, and before 'British Steel' you had 'Killing Machine', you had 'Sad Wings Of Destiny' and all this, but they were a great heavy metal band, a great rock and roll band, a great prog band at times and kind of eclectic. And then with 'British Steel' I find they really got laser focused, cut off the fat. And we're focused on what we feel right now metal needs — this very pompous but yet…
"Honestly, I feel like we have to save heavy metal," he continued. "Because either people are lost in the past… They did it better than we will ever do what they do. Don't do that. What's next? What's next for us? And do that without disappearing up your own asses completely.
"When people end up doing metal that is best enjoyed while sitting down and shutting up, you miss the point," Johannes added. "Metal is the music that you move to — in the pit, banging your head, dancing around, whatever, lifting weights, drinking too much, getting pregnant, impregnating someone, doing things. It's music to move with. You have drums in the band; why would you have drums if you don't move?
"We look a lot to the masters — that is wisdom from MOTÖRHEAD, from JUDAS PRIEST, from a lot of things — but then just… yeah, that, but not that. They did that. We're now and what's next with that. Where can we try to help bring it? And that is this album."
AVATAR enjoyed quite a productive summer, traipsing North America on a successful headline tour. They next embarked on some of the biggest shows of the career — a trek with IRON MAIDEN, supporting the band in stadiums in Brazil. AVATAR also played arenas supporting SABATON. They secured slots at major festivals globally — Inkcarceration, Summer Breeze and Bloodstock Open Air, among others.

Cleveland’s Frayle has released a new music video for the track “All The Things I Was”:
“This song is a reminiscence of the things I was and the regrets I had. The video shows how any rebirth or transformation can be painful and often times isn’t pretty or comfortable but results in a more learned and wise self.” - Gwyn Strang
In support of Frayle's album Skin & Sorrow (released September 23), the band embarks on a European tour beginning November 1 at the Willemeen in Arnhem, Netherlands. The tour includes two festival appearances, Damnation in Manchester, UK November 5 and Gloomaar Festival in Neunkirchen, Germany November 19, in addition to the legendary venues to which Frayle will bring their doom magic.
Stockholm, Sweden's Metalite will release their new live EP, Live At Sweden Rock Festival 2022, on Friday, October 28, via AFM Records. Pre-order here.
The band have released a video for "Cloud Connected" from the EP, which joins the previously posted clips for "Far From The Sanctuary", and "We Bring You The Stars". Watch all three below:
It’s rare for a band to commandingly return with their best effort to date, and yet that’s what ...And Oceans achieved in 2020 with Cosmic World Mother, their first full-length in 18 years. This comeback album was the sound of creative floodgates bursting through into a new body of water - an ocean if you will. Blistering symphonic black metal, heady themes that dealt with the connection between philosophy and psychics, and the Finns’ trademark adventurous songwriting. Everything that Cosmic World Mother did well, new opus As In Gardens, So In Tombs manages to eclipse and recontextualize.
It’s the sound of a band seizing every ounce of momentum and upping the ante in every way. While ...And Oceans has never written the same album twice, in many ways As In Gardens, So In Tombs sounds like an opportunity for the band to pick up and improve upon what they started. Symphonic black metal is never this fun, free, and fantastic.
As In Gardens, So In Tombs will be released via Season Of Mist on January 27th, 2023.

Pushing progressive death metal in ever more imaginative directions, Entheos — vocalist Chaney Crabb and multi-instrumentalist Navene Koperweis — continue to stand apart from the pack. Incorporating elements drawn from myriad genres — including death metal, groove, grunge, electronica, slam, gothic rock, jazz, prog and more — they have evolved with every release. Having stripped down to a two-piece in 2020, this decision streamlined the band and allows the core members to make the music they want —with no compromise, which is clearly to their betterment.
Today, Entheos share the video for "Absolute Zero." It marks the band's first release under new label Metal Blade Records. The song also features Evan Brewer, who has played on all of the band's previous material, on bass.
"To us, 'Absolute Zero' has always felt like an obvious choice to release as a single," the band says. "It’s a raw, aggressive song that represents the descent into darkness that we often times must face in order to progress and appreciate our lives. The video was shot by the incredible David Brodsky and Allison Woest, who were able to capture the emotion of the song perfectly."
Just in time for Halloween, horror metal band First Jason, featuring Friday The 13th’s original “Jason Voorhees” Ari Lehman, has announced the release of its new video for their latest single “The Scapegoat.” Featuring special guest vocalist Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Lehman describes the track as a song that “depicts the times we live in.”
Specifically, Lehman says the single was inspired by a social media-obsessed society that is easily controlled by leaders and influencers whose mission is to simply to herd the masses. “Video maestro James Callahan and his team at Camp Rattler’s visionary realization elevated one of our best songs to another dimension filled with symbolic imagery that revealed a powerful message for the times we live in,” Lehman said.
To do so, Director Callahan and Producer Kristin Rose shot the vignette on location at The Sanctum, a darkened former church that has been repurposed into a live music and event venue in Northeastern PA, to depict the dichotomy of light and darkness, power and weakness, and good versus evil that cascades throughout the song.
“Our vision from the onset, was a music video like none other that straddles the thin veil of the real world and the horrific,” said Callahan. “In the darkened former church, intense sunlight streamed through the original stained-glass windows, creating a surreal set for Ari to channel the spirit of ‘Jason’. Through music, he calls upon his followers through their cell phones and then ritualistically anoints them with blood on their white hockey masks. It was one of the most terrifyingly beautiful concepts we’ve created.”
“The Scapegoat” video follows the band’s hit 2021 release “The Price Of Peace,” which was also produced by Camp Rattler, and amassed over 30 thousand views on Instagram and 10 thousand views on YouTube in less than a week. According to Lehman and Callahan, “The Price Of Peace,” was “just the beginning” of their collaboration.
“The team Callahan leads at Camp Rattler always impresses us with their insight, enthusiasm, and stellar production,” said Lehman. “We are always absolutely thrilled with the results!”
Fans are encouraged to follow Camp Rattler’s YouTube channel at @Camprattler for updates and teasers.

"Although Mister Misery is about letting go of reality, it felt important to us that this song be the first release after we got back to the stages," states vocalist/guitarist Harley Vendetta. "It touches upon the darkness we all faced during the pandemic. All we want to do is to let this go and move on. This song defines our rise out of the lockdowns and we are so excited to present our most emotionally charged song to date."

Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group recording artist Conquer Divide - the international five-piece band hailing from the US, UK, and Canada - have just shared the video for their new single, "Paralyzed." Watch below.
This track will hit particularly close to home for anyone who listens to it, as it addresses something we've all dealt with - yet in a very unique way.
Guitarist Kristen Sturgis shares, "This song is about battling with mental illness and depression - especially during the pandemic - and feeling like you are too mentally paralyzed to move forward."
She continues, revealing her deeply personal experience working as a nurse during COVID, saying, "I was in a dark place because, as some people may or may not know, I am a critical care nurse when I am not touring. I was traveling around the country to all these hot spots to help out with COVID, and I saw dozens of people lose their lives. And I still really have not fully processed it."
Sturgis further explains, "But if you do not disconnect, you can't do your job effectively. So, it is the kind of depression where you don't feel anything at all, and you turn your emotions off. There was a point where they had psychologists visiting us on the unit to talk about our feelings. But it was like, 'I don't have time for this right now. I need to hang the next bag of x/y/z medication and keep this person alive. Get back to me in a year after this is all over.' I think a lot of health care workers are also going to have PTSD or depression from what we went through. I hit a bit of writer's block as a result of my mental state, and this song was a bit cathartic for me."
As for Conquer Divide's future plans, Sturgis offers this exciting update: "We've all grown so much since our first record. We did a lot of introspection and soul-searching about which creative direction to take the band in next, and we can't wait to share what we've been working on. There will be something for everyone on our sophomore album."
The band is on tour with Attack Attack! this fall.
UK rockers Syteria, featuring Girlschool guitarist Jackie "Jax" Chambers, will release their new single, "Monsters", this Friday (October 28).
Pre-save the single here, and watch the official music video for the song below.
Says the band: "We want to send special thanks to the Fly Girls and Lyndon Delor for their help, without them and our trusty crew this wouldn't have been possible. Welcome to our life, people are the real monsters we've got to hide from."
Southern death metal band Guillotine A.D. - whose music blends the sounds of old-school Florida death metal, Scandinavian black metal, and New Orleans sludge into a wholly unique brew - have released a video for "I Want To Believe".
A prime slab of Guillotine A.D.’s signature brand of southern death metal – the ferocity and atmosphere of Immortal melding seamlessly with the swagger and heft of Crowbar, delivered by a thundering 3-headed juggernaut that would make both High On Fire and Bolt Thrower proud.
The song was inspired by the movie Willow Creek, and the video is fittingly an intensely creepy montage of band performance footage and Sasquatch sightings. Featuring an opening monologue from renowned cryptid researcher/author/filmmaker/musician Lyle Blackburn. The video also features a ripping guest guitar solo from Corey Flowers (Beast Mode/Jet Engine Dragons), Sasquatch howls recorded in the remote forests of Washington state, and previously unreleased footage of Bigfoot sightings. Guillotine A.D. has produced a chilling and heavy work of modern metal.
“’Will Creek’ is probably the best Bigfoot horror movie ever made. The lyrics to ‘I Want to Believe’ are inspired by that film,” explains guitarist Lance Miller. “Without giving away any spoilers, it doesn’t have a happy ending. We don’t want to recreate the movie for the video, but it was fun making the video as a nod to the movie. It was an honor having Lyle Blackburn take part in the video. Also, thanks to Dave Shealy for providing his skunk ape footage, Alex CF for the drawings and to the Olympic Project for providing audio recordings for the song.”
“I Want to Believe” comes from the band’s latest album, Born To Fall, which was originally released on CD and digital in early summer, but due to demand 200 limited copies were pressed on vinyl and releases November 11.
Born To Fall, featuring cover art by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom, Kataklysm), can be ordered at this location.
Tracklisting:
"Vultures Of Paradise"
"Exile"
"War First"
"Spiritual Insect"
"I Want To Believe"
"Born To Fall"

"Madness Of The Gods"
BUTCHER BABIES have shared the official music video for their cover version of rapper Saweetie's chart-topping single "Best Friend". The clip was directed by Dale "Rage" Resteghini and was filmed at the Bare Den adult entertainment club in Newton, New Jersey.
BUTCHER BABIES have been performing their cover of "Best Friend" at their recent live shows.
Speaking to Spain's EMP about their decision to cover "Best Friend", BUTCHER BABIES co-vocalist Heidi Shepherd said: "It's basically a song about [me and fellow BUTCHER BABIES singer Carla Harvey]. 'Cause we've been best friends for so long. We were a band together prior to BUTCHER BABIES. It's a cover, and we figured we can't think of two better people to cover this song besides us. So it's fun."
At this year's Brutal Assault festival in Jaromer, Czech Republic, Shepherd and Harvey spoke to Metalshop about the band's upcoming fourth studio album which was recently completed with producer Josh Schroeder (LORNA SHORE, KING 810) for a 2023 release. Heidi said: "We released a barrage of singles throughout 2020 and 2021, and we're gonna follow that up with a full-length album in 2023. But we're also going to finish out the rest of this year with a bunch of singles from that album. So we're very excited. We played one new song today from that album, called 'Best Friend'. And it's been going over really well. So we're very excited. I know it's been a while, but it'll be worth the wait."
Asked why it's better to release singles than a full-length album in 2022, Carla said: "I think we live in a time where people want things right now; they want new stuff all the time. And I also think that when you release a single, people have a chance to digest that song, fall in love with that song before they skip to the next one and the next one and the next one. We really like developing a song on its own, making a video for that song, telling the story of that song, because every song is special to us."
Added Heidi: "We put our heart and soul into every single song that goes on the album. We don't just half-ass any of the songs, and so we want to make sure that it gets the life and the attention it deserves. And so I think we're just gonna continue this way and just leak it a little bit at a time and keep it going."
In a separate interview with Bloodstock TV, Carla stated about the recording process for the new BUTCHER BABIES LP: "It was a really cool experience. We got to sit together for about six weeks in the middle of nowhere — a very, very small town in Michigan — and just create together. And we had an Airbnb with animal skulls all over the place. And we just sat there in the snow and created probably our best album to date. So it was a great bonding experience."
Heidi confirmed that "Best Friend" will be included on BUTCHER BABIES' new effort.
"We've been playing one of the songs on these [European] festivals," she said. "One of the songs that we've been playing on these festivals, it's called 'Best Friend' and it's a cover from the hip-hop artist Saweetie featuring Doja Cat. And for us, being best friends, we thought it would be the best way to do a cover — a hip-hop/metal cover — since we've been best friends for, man, nearly two decades."
When Oran O'Beirne of Bloodstock TV suggested that some BUTCHER BABIES fans might object to such a diverse combination of musical styles, Carla said: "We haven't changed at all, because some of our earliest songs were similar. We've always run the gamut throughout our music; we've never stayed with one style. Most people love about BUTCHER BABIES that we have a death metal song and a thrash metal song and then a poppy radio song, and whatever mood they're in, we've got a song for them."
Added Heidi: "What I love about being in a band like this and being around musicians that we all see eye to eye is that we can do different things; we're not pigeonholed to one certain sound. Sometimes we wanna get up and we wanna scream and we wanna be angry bitches, and then sometimes we wanna sing and we want people to hear what we feel from our hearts. And I think that that's important as an artist, to be able to do both."
Carla continued: "And judging by the audience reaction when we go from one very, very heavy song to one lighter song, they love it. They have literally the same energy for both kinds of music. They want it too. People want the freedom to be able to like different types of music."
BUTCHER BABIES' latest album, 2017's "Lilith", was produced by Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, SUICIDE SILENCE) and marked the band's recording debut with drummer Chase Brickenden, who replaced Chris Warner in 2016.
In July 2019, longtime BUTCHER BABIES bassist Jason Klein announced his departure from the band. He has since been replaced by Ricky Bonazza.
Last year, BUTCHER BABIES embarked on a headlining tour, "Butcher Babies Vs. Goliath", which saw the band performing its debut album, "Goliath" — released in 2013 via Century Media Records — in its entirety along with recent hit singles and new material.
Hailing from the City of Angels, BUTCHER BABIES have released two Eps and three albums to date, with "Lilith", debuting at #1 on iTunes Metal chart and #7 on iTunes Rock chart. The band kicked off 2021 by independently releasing a handful of newly energized singles produced and co-written by Matt Good (FROM FIRST TO LAST),including "Bottom Of A Bottle", "Sleeping With The Enemy", "Yorktown", "Last Dance" and "It's Killin' Time, Baby!" The latter was inspired by the DC Comics character Lobo, a heavy metal bounty hunter.
Guitarist Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy, Nevermore) has shared another solo live performance video via his official YouTube channel. Check it out below.
Loomis: "Found this cool video of my performance of 'Miles Of Machines' in Winnipeg, Canada. Thanks to the user who uploaded this. Super cool of you to share, dude!"
Loomis, who was one of the founding members of Nevermore, recently shared a new instructional video on how to play the band's song "Born". The track is taken from Nevermore's 2005 album, This Godless Endeavour.
Nevermore was formed in 1991, releasing seven albums before going on indefinite hiatus in 2011. In April 2015, frontman Warrel Dane confirmed that Nevermore had not disbanded, and there was a possibility for them to continue in the next two years with another album. However, Dane passed away in December 2017, ending hopes of a reunion.
In partnership with All-Pedal, Loomis announced the release of his signature pedal, “The Devil’s Triad”, which will be available exclusively on Reverb.
Said Loomis, “We have put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this project to absolutely dial in my tone. From developing the circuit to the artwork design, we have had a blast putting this thing together for you guys, and I really hope you all dig it. I look forward to seeing you guys shred with this thing!”
Designed by Loomis to be his all-in-one pedal, The Devil’s Triad has drive, boost, delay, and reverb functionality, and has the ability to be used as a preamp. Loomis also worked with All-Pedal to replicate his presets into Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Delay Cascade options.
Even better - everyone who purchases one of The Devil’s Triad signature pedals will be entered to win a Jeff Loomis Signature Jackson 7- string guitar, Gator hard guitar case and Gator guitar stand through All-Pedal.
Check out the full video of Loomis shredding through his walkthrough of the pedal below, and find more information here.
Israeli progressive metal outfit, Subterranean Masquerade, presents a special acoustic performance featuring music from their fourth LP, Mountain Fever, out now on Sensory Records.
Subterranean Masquerade released Mountain Fever through American prog powerhouse Sensory Records in May of 2021, the album boasting ten new songs which continue to push the balance between pioneering experimentalism to their own take on modern pop culture and its manifestation in the Middle East. With nearly an hour of engaging music, revealing an album composed of African and Balkan brass sections, Arabic violins, extended vocal techniques, and several special guest appearances, the band explores radio friendly hooks that emerge out of heavy riffs and polychromatic arrangements.
Mountain Fever was recorded in Golan Heights, Israel with engineer David Castillo, after which it was sent to Fascination Street in Örebro, Sweden (Leprous, Katatonia, Opeth) where it was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren, then completed with artwork and layout by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight 13 Media. The record features several notable guest contributions, including drums from Matan Shmuely (Orphaned Land), bouzouki and lead guitars on "Mångata" by Idan Amsalem (Orphaned Land), and vocals on "Somewhere I Sadly Belong" by Melechesh Ashmedi (Melechesh) and Jackie Hole (The Super Things).
The new Metal Unplugged session was recorded at Jerusalem’s iconic Yellow Submarine venue and showcases Subterranean Masquerade performing three songs from Mountain Fever in an intimate, acoustic setting.
Vocalist Davidavi (Vidi) Dolev reveals, “We've created this special set in cooperation with Jerusalem's Yellow Submarine venue, which hosts Israel's biggest music showcases. We happily sold out all three premiere concerts in the holy land and now we want to share some of it with our audience all over the world. Winter's coming, it gets colder, so get cozy and enjoy selected tracks from our latest album Mountain Fever in an intimate form. My favorite one is 'The Stilnox Oratory,’ which we played live for the first time ever. Live dates for this seated show abroad are coming soon too; we're coming to get you.”
Subterranean Masquerade has officially signed with Berlin Based Booking Agency Laetitium Kunstler & Kulturmanagement for all German Speaking countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The company consists only of women, specialized in importing international bands into the German market. German festival dates for 2023 are coming soon.
Dolev writes, “It seems that after supporting Deep Purple last May, a lot of doors are finally being opened, and we were privilege to find the right booking agency for us in the German markets. We've seen all kind of contracts and I can honestly say Laetitium has made us feel safe and trustworthy by far more than any other agency. Things are already cooking, there is a sense of collaboration and lots of love in the air; it's only the beginning.”

Saasta, based in Kotka, Finland bring down slabs of slow and steady blackened death/doom with their debut full length album, Crucial To None. Although not a concept album, the pit of despair that is their sound does share common themes, such as the inner struggles of a world gone mad and suffering through violence. The execution is extreme in a rugged, almost painful way, but the songs are as powerful as they are honest.
Saasta was vomited forth from the depths when guitarist/vocalist Topias Jokipii (Sunken, Saattovaki, Of Spite) came together with long time collaborator, and drummer, Jimi Lahtinen. The band is rounded out by bassist Janne Hietanen (Solamnia, 2Wolves, Of Spite) and recently added vocalist Leevi Kärsämä, who will appear on later releases.

Seen as one of Denmark’s biggest musical talents in recent years, Nicklas Sonne, best known as the lead singer, songwriter and producer for the progressive metal band Defecto, takes his listeners through big symphonic arrangements, equilibristic bombastic choruses, in a grand, yet traditional heavy metal style. Today he presents the single, "Spit Out Your Pride", from his upcoming debut solo album, Resonance.
“My past is still reverberating in my mind. Through depression, low self-esteem, bullying and torn families, I’ve always felt like I was balancing on a thin line over a burning abyss. Always barely clinging on to the desire to exist. This upcoming album takes the listener through a variety of these very moments and feelings I’ve never shared before”, Nicklas explains. "The track 'Spit Out Your Pride' is about when you’ve had enough of everyone’s bullshit, and you just want to bury yourself in the cold ground, if it means to be free from people’s negligence, ignorance, lack of empathy and general bad attitude”, he adds.
Also known to perform with groups such as Malrun, Theory and Hank Sherman, now this talented multi-instrumentalist and producer expresses himself on his own terms. On his new album Resonance, which will be releasing on November 11 through Prime Collective, we’ll see 10 tracks all written, arranged, produced, and recorded by himself. The project he dreamt of doing for many years, is finally ready!
