On August 6, 2021, three-time-Grammy-nominated hard rock heavyweights and platinum-selling band KILLSWITCH ENGAGE staged a streaming event at The Palladium in Worcester in the band's native Massachusetts, which has been the site of many iconic KILLSWITCH ENGAGE shows throughout the band's history. The performance setlist consisted of 2019's "Atonement" album in full, as well as the entirety of the band's 2000-released, self-titled debut LP — along with some fun and unexpected surprises. This special event was directed by David Brodsky and Allison Woest for MyGoodEye. The compelling performance, dubbed "Live At The Palladium", will be available for the first time digitally, on two-LP and two-CD/BR on June 3 via Metal Blade.
Today, the band has shared the video for "Know Your Enemy". Watch it below.
"This song speaks volumes about the state of the world, not only when I wrote the lyrics, but today, as well," says singer Jesse Leach. "It shines a light on the various protest songs we've written over the years. To me, the message is equally important as the music, and this song is no exception. And regardless of who we have become as a band, we still have our roots firmly planted in hardcore music."

German power metal space warriors, Victorius, have released a guitar playthrough video for their new single, "Dinos And Dragons", featured on their upcoming new album, Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War, which merges the worlds of the band’s Dinosaur Warfare - Legend Of The Power Saurus EP and previous album, Space Ninjas From Hell.
Out June 24 via Napalm Records, this adventurous ride sees the mighty dinosaurs rise again to fight against the evil space ninja clan Sunbladers. Led to the battleground by a magical mammoth, the laser dinosaurs unite their power on earth and in the sky to halt the ninja’s second try to enslave mankind.
Victorius on “Dinos And Dragons”: “Sharpen your sword and saddle your dinosaur. We're proud to present you the first song and video from our upcoming new album. ‘Dinos and Dragons’ combines all trademarks Victorius is known for: Speed, crushing guitars and an epic chorus that will get stuck in your head. As it continues the story of the dinosaurs as well as the space ninjas, we thought this is the perfect song to give you a first taste of what the new album is about. Also the great work of director Mirko Witzki and his team visualizes this song perfectly. As said, this is just a first taste. To be continued…”
Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War sets off with a monumental introduction, cracking open this mystical world as it flows into “Victorious Dinogods”. The track initiates battle with relentless power metal as the mighty dinogods resurrect to protect mankind against the space ninja attack. Luckily, the dinogods don’t stand alone, as they are proudly joined in battle by the “Mighty Magic Mammoth”, awakened by a fiery comet. But wait, there are more brothers-in-arms (and songs) on their way - like “Jurassic Jetfighters”, “Triceps Ceratops” and “Tyrannosaurus Steel”. The three join forces to fight the ninjas and their fearsome dragon, as fabled on smashing track “Dinos and Dragons”, spiced with an intense guitar solo praising the tradition of speed metal with a remarkable virtuosity. A foreshadowing of what’s to come when the ninjas take command is described with “Katana Kingdom Rising”, setting off with stomping drums that lead to an anthemic chorus. Strong symphonic elements are witnessed on “God of Roar” as well as on the powerful track “Night of the Nuclear Ninja”, which tells the story of the space ninjas transforming into even deadlier, nuclear versions of themselves. This is when another grand figure joins the fold: the giant “Powerzord”, a mighty robot lord, who comes to the aid of the dinosaurs in battle with the aim of finally freeing mankind from the space ninja threat. Will the dinos and their brave supporters manage to prevent the nuclear ninja kingdom from rising? Find out on Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War - a roaring good time for all.
Victorius on Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War: “Mighty Dinosaurriors. Get ready for the next chapter of our epic quest. Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War is nothing more than the most ambitious album we´ve ever made. 12 songs full of speed, melodies, hooks and epic-ness. Together with producer Lars Rettkowitz we’ve created the soundtrack for an intergalactic Power Metal adventure you can´t escape from. The war rages on. Choose your side.”
Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War is available in the following formats:

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has finished recording its ninth studio album.
The Las Vegas-based metallers shared the news of the LP's completion in a message accompanying the release of the lyric video for the song "Brighter Side Of Grey" from the band's last album, 2020's "F8".
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH said: "It's hard to believe that our last record 'F8' came out over 2 years ago in the beginning of 2020, born into the whirlwind of events that dominated our lives and will echo into the rest of our history. Those of you intimately familiar with that album, now know how some of 'F8''s dystopian lyrics became rather prophetic.
"'Brighter Side Of Grey' was an important song on that record, but especially personal to [singer] Ivan [Moody] (who's the only parent in the band). It is a more than fitting commentary to what's going on in the world that probably needs a good reminder right about now that we are here only for second, a tiny blip on the flow of time… not just as individuals but as an entire species… It took a trillion conditions to be just right for human life to exist in this Universe yet it takes just one to go terribly wrong and make it all disappear.
"This song also serves as the perfect bridge to our new album we just finished this week, which generally revolves around similar existential questions.
"It's incredible how much we don't understand about our own existence, yet everyone's relationship with the concept of death permeates, even orients their entire lives. Can't wait to share it…
"Enjoy this video, and stay tuned for new music and big tour announcements in the very near future!"
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new album was once again recorded at the Hideout Recording Studio, the Las Vegas, Nevada facility owned and operated by Kevin Churko, the Canadian record producer/engineer and songwriter who has worked on all of FIVE FINGER's albums beginning with the band's sophomore release, 2009's "War Is The Answer".
In addition to recording an all-new album, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently commenced re-recording its debut LP, 2007's "The Way Of The Fist", for its 15th anniversary.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's upcoming album will be the group's first with its latest addition, renowned British virtuoso Andy James, who replaced Jason Hook in 2020. James was previously featured on "Broken World", a song that was included on the second installment of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's greatest-hits collection, "A Decade Of Destruction – Volume 2", which came out in the fall of 2020.
Since FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's debut album, "The Way Of The Fist", came out in 2007, the band has released six consecutive albums that were certified gold or platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as well as two chart-topping greatest-hits albums. In addition, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has earned numerous national and international awards and honors over the last decade, such as the prestigious Soldier Appreciation Award by the Association Of The United States Army, an honor bestowed upon only one other recording artist before them: Elvis Presley.
"F8" debuted at No. 1 on rock charts around the world with Top 10 Mainstream chart debuts in the USA, Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and more. "F8" features No. 1 hit singles "Inside Out", "A Little Bit Off", "Living The Dream" and "Darkness Settles In".
Hard-hitting and melodic; pissed off and groovy; energetic and catchy: upon first listen, it is clear that Sicksense is all of these things. The band - comprised of vocalists Killer V (Vicky Psarakis) and Rob The Ripper (Robby J. Fonts), guitarist Breakdown Bran (Bran Panic), drummer The Trve Cody Taylor (Cody Taylor) and bassist Spot-On Sam/SOS (Samuel Bedard) – will release their debut 5-song EP, Kings Today on April 22.
From the opening riffs of “Kings Today” to the closing growls of “Heart Of Stone”, Sicksense is dedicated to their mission of making fans bounce and sing their hearts out through thought-provoking lyrics, rage-fueled raps and powerful melodies, supported with low-tuned stomping nu-metal riffs and grooves. Kings Today was recorded, mixed & mastered by Christian Donaldson and the artwork for the EP was created by Aleksandra Panic.
The video for new single “Forgotten Days” can be viewed below:
Having both performed a range of styles in numerous heavy bands, Killer V and Rob The Ripper (who are married) wanted to return to a genre that’s close to their hearts, but also make music that is specifically written for two vocalists. Written with dual vocal interplay from a male / female perspective, their performance reflects a personal and fun side of them as people, but also tackles social and societal issues in the world today. Backed by guitarist Breakdown Bran (Bran Panic), drummer The Trve Cody Taylor (Cody Taylor) and bassist Spot-On Sam/SOS (Samuel Bedard), Sicksense would be born out of the band’s desire to share their upbeat and fun message with the world. Sicksense chooses musical inspiration from various bands and those influences shine through in their debut EP, Kings Today.
Sicksense is:
Killer V – Vocals/Keys
Rob The Ripper – Vocals
Breakdown Bran – Guitars
Spot-On Sam/SOS – Bass
The Trve Cody Taylor – Drums
U.S. groove rock masters CLUTCH have released a brand new single, "Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)". The song's official music video, directed by David Brodsky, can be seen below.
CLUTCH frontman and lyric wordsmith Neil Fallon explains: "Early in 2021, I learned the Boss Metal Zone pedal schematic was being presented as 'proof' that the COVID-19 vaccine had an electronic component to communicate with 5G cellular networks. It was, of course, nonsense. It sounded like a [sci-fi icon] Philip K. Dick premise. I didn't want to write a song specific to COVID-19 vaccines, so I went with the Philip K. Dick angle (again). 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?' [Dick's 1968 science fiction novel] came to mind (replicants, in particular, representing what is real and not real, or is there a difference at all?). The video makes no secret that this is a homage to Philip K. Dick and a future where we have distortion coursing through our veins."
Drummer Jean-Paul Gaster adds: "'Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)' is one of the faster cuts on our forthcoming album. It kicks in and hits like a freight train. The intensity of the recording reminds me of our live shows. This song cooks, and I can’t wait to play it on tour!"
Longtime fans of Dick, the members of CLUTCH have also curated a fun "inspired by" Sci-Fidelity playlist on Spotify to coincide with the single's release.
Early last year, Gaster told the Chicago-based webzine Metal Kaoz that he and his CLUTCH bandmates had "written a lot of songs" for the follow-up to 2018's "Book Of Bad Decisions" LP. He said: "We've been writing now for our new album, and I think we're spending more time than ever in the studio, just trying out different ideas. And most of the ideas don't ever really make it to the end; we try 10 things and we keep one.
"I think we are even more selective than we were before as to which ideas we really decide to focus on. And I think it is because we have so much more time. Before, we would come home for a tour and maybe we would have three weeks off. So, the first week, we don't do really much of anything — everybody goes back home to their families and we rest — and then the next two weeks we would get together and we would just jam really hard and get a bunch of ideas, and then on the road and play those ideas, and then come back and do it again. And that process might go on for a year and a half. This has been different. This is the first time where we've had so much time at home to work on ideas and never really tried them in a live setting. So I'm not sure how it's gonna impact the record. But I think it's gonna make for a different album — whether it's good, bad or otherwise, it's too early to tell. But, for sure, it's a different dynamic, and it requires more of us.
"So often, when we have new ideas and we put them in front of an audience, you can really tell right away — we know right away if the song is the right tempo, we know right away if the riffs are where they need to be, if the chorus is the way it needs to be," Gaster added. "It's a testing ground. And we don't have that right now. So, for that reason, I think we are being a lot more careful about what ideas we really wanna focus on, and which ones we think, 'You know what? We've done that before. Let's do something a little different.'"
"Book Of Bad Decisions" was recorded at Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Vance Powell. The record sold 26,000 copies in America during its first week of availability, giving the group its third consecutive Top 20 album on the Billboard 200.

Latvian hard rockers Bloody Heels have announced their return with a new studio album, Rotten Romance on June 10, 2022. Today, the band has released a new single and video, the title track, from the album. Watch the “Rotten Romance” music video below. Preorder/save Rotten Romance here.
Rotten Romance, their third album overall, follows their Frontiers debut, Ignite The Sky (2020). While the band still shows nods to the great ‘80s hard rock scene in their sound, the new album presents a stylistic leap from the band that is delightfully unexpected and welcome. Not content to be stagnant in their musical approach, Bloody Heels have pushed their sound forward, proving that innovation within the confines of a genre is always possible when the will to push through barriers exists.
Rotten Romance will certainly please fans of the band's previous work, where strains of classic '80s hard rock were mixed with elements of heavy metal (and that is still very much the case here), but touches of progressive rock, gothic metal, and more modern rock are now identifiable in the mix and with spectacular results. Vocalist Vicky White's whisky-soaked sounding throat is in fine form here, while guitarist Harry Rivers, bassist Gunn Everett, and drummer Gus Hawk already superb playing has jumped up multiple levels. Intense, driving parts mix with atmospheric, sometimes dark breakdowns, giving the album's rhythm an enjoyable variety that works seamlessly.
Have Bloody Heels just provided the blueprint for how the class of bands paying respect to '80s hard rock and metal can actually push the genre into new, exciting, inventive territory? Only time will be the judge of that, but with "Rotten Romance" these Latvian upstarts have certainly thrown down a gauntlet for their peers to attempt to match.
Formed in 2012 in Riga, Latvia, Bloody Heels made a name for themselves with the EP Summer Nights (2014) and the studio albums Through Mystery (2017) and Ignite The Sky (2020). They’ve played shows all around Europe including Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, and the Baltic States.

Frontiers Music Srl presents Black Eye, a new musical project centred around the vocal talents of David Readman (Pink Cream 69). The band's self-titled debut album will be released on May 6.
Today, fans can get a taste of music from the band with the release of the lyric video for "Space Travel". Watch the clip below, and pre-order/save the new album here.
Musically, the driving principle behind Black Eye was to craft a melodic metal album with big choruses, powerful rhythms, and huge solos that would support the powerful voice of Readman, a world class singer. The band's name is a reference to the Black Eye Galaxy (also known as the Devil's Eye Galaxy), a spiral galaxy with a pinwheel shape that is visible in the constellation of Coma Berenices and is well known among amateur astronomers as it is clearly visible even with small telescopes.
The concept for Black Eye came together when Serafino Perugino, President and Head of A&R for Frontiers Records, came up with the idea to pair Readman and producer/guitarist/songwriter Aldo Lonobile together to craft a melodic metal album built upon the foundation of Readman's powerful voice. Produced by Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel, Sweet Oblivion), who also plays guitar on the album, Black Eye is comprised of guitarist Luca Princiotta (DORO), who also participated in the songwriting, drummer David Folchitto (ex- Fleshgod Apocalypse, Stormlord), and bassist Andrea Arcangeli (DGM). Additionally, Antonio Agate (arranger for many artists, including Secret Sphere, Timo Tolkki's Avalon, Sweet Oblivion ft. Geoff Tate, and more) and Mattia Gosetti (Agarthic) provide keyboards and orchestra arrangements.
Readman has enjoyed a long-running career due to his impressive vocal talents. An English singer best known for being the vocalist of hard rock band Pink Cream 69, who worked with Frontiers over the years on multiple releases, and former vocalist of progressive metal band Adagio. Additionally, Readman released a solo album in 2007 and was also part of German guitarist Alex Beyrodt's band Voodoo Circle, from 2008 to 2016, returning in 2020. In 2015, two projects featuring Readman on lead vocals were revealed. The first, Room Experience, was a melodic rock project led by Italian musician Gianluca Firmo and they released a self-titled album released in May 2015. The second, Almanac, was a new heavy metal band led by former Rage guitarist Victor Smolski. In September 2016, Readman reformed the David Readman Band, his solo band that he had founded in Germany some years back. Never one to rest on his laurels, in 2017, it was announced that Readman had joined New Wave of British Heavy Metal legends Tank. In October 2017, another new project came out called Pendulum of Fortune, featuring Readman with Bodo Schopf, Franky R., and Vladimir Shevjakov.
Fans of European melodic metal masters, like Masterplan and Edguy, and everyone who has celebrated Readman's voice over the years in his various endeavours will find much to be pleased with here.

Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY have released the official music video for the song "Ringin' In My Head". The track is taken from the band's seventh studio album, "The Human Condition", which was made available in 2020. The clip, which was shot in the Kentucky barn that BLACK STONE CHERRY uses as a rehearsal space, was directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts, who had previously worked on LAMB OF GOD's "Memento Mori".
"In 2020, when the world seemed to be falling apart, an older song we had started a few years earlier struck a nerve with us," said BLACK STONE CHERRY frontman Chris Robertson. "Lyrically it seemed too close to the times not to try and make the song something special. The result is guaranteed to give you a ringin' in your head."
BLACK STONE CHERRY guitarist Ben Wells told The Machine Shop about "Ringin' In My Head": "We wrote that song originally for the 'Family Tree' album, and the original demo version had a different second verse on it and a different bridge, and by the time it was time to go in the studio, we weren't all a 100 percent sold on it. But we loved it, so when it came time to do this album, we were looking at it, and we decided to rewrite the bridge on it and do some different things. But ironically enough, the words that we liked from the original are the ones that talk about the new disease creeping up and all this stuff. And it's so ironic that those lyrics mean so much more now than they would have had we had released this song three years ago. So I'm glad we didn't."
Last June, BLACK STONE CHERRY announced the departure of bassist Jon Lawhon. He has since been replaced on the road by Steve Jewell Jr., the guitarist from the Glasgow, Kentucky band OTIS.
The digital-only release of an expanded edition of "The Human Condition" was made available last August.
FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away at 50 a little over a week ago, was honored during the televised portion of the Grammy Awards ceremony's "In Memoriam" segment.
"This was the moment in the show when I was supposed to be introducing the FOO FIGHTERS," host Trevor Noah announced before launching an extended intro tribute to the beloved rock musician. "We would have been celebrating with them as they won three Grammy Awards earlier today. But they, of course, are not here due to the passing of their legendary drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Our thoughts go out to Taylor's family, his friends, his FOO FIGHTER family and all his fans."
Many hard rock and heavy metal fans took to Twitter to air out their frustrations with the Grammy Awards, who failed to recognize SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison, CINDERELLA guitarist Jeff LaBar, Megaforce Records co-founders Jon and Marsha Zazula, and THE MOODY BLUES co-founder Graeme Edge of in the televised portion of "In Memoriam". However, the Recording Academy didn't completely forget about Jordison, the Zazulas, LaBar and Edge as they were listed — along with several hundred other musicians and folks important to the industry — on the Grammy.com web site under the "The Recording Academy Remembers The Music People We've Lost: Grammy In Memoriam" section.
The 64th Grammy Awards took place Sunday, April 3, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and were broadcast live on CBS.

FOO FIGHTERS were supposed to play at this year's Grammy Awards but canceled the performance following Hawkins's death.
FOO FIGHTERS' Grammy cancelation came days after the band officially scrapped all of its previously announced shows, explaining that they were taking "this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together."
Hawkins died at a hotel in Bogota, Colombia on March 25. Local officials said an ambulance was sent to the hotel after a man reported having chest pains. The 50-year-old FOO FIGHTERS drummer did not respond to resuscitation efforts and was declared dead, the city's health department said.
Jordison died "peacefully in his sleep" last July of an unspecified cause. He was 46 years old.
SLIPKNOT announced its split with Jordison in December 2013 but did not disclose the reasons for his exit. The drummer subsequently issued a statement saying that he did not quit the group.
