RANCID To Release

RANCID To Release 'Trouble Maker' Album In June; 'Ghost Of A Chance' Video Available

RANCID will release its new album, "Trouble Maker", on June 9 via Hellcat/Epitaph Records. This is the ninth studio album for the punk legends and the follow-up to 2014's critically acclaimed "…Honor Is All We Know". "Trouble Maker" was produced by RANCID's longtime producer and founder of Epitaph Records, Brett Gurewitz.

The official video for the new RANCID song "Ghost Of A Chance", taken from "Trouble Maker", can be seen below.

Emerging from the blue-collar swamps of Berkeley, California, RANCID has now been a living, breathing punk rock band for over a quarter century. Back in 1991, after the demise of their much beloved first band, OPERATION IVY, founding members Tim Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Matt Freeman (bass, vocals) decided to do the impossible — start an even better band. Thus, RANCID. Signing with Epitaph Records, the band released their first album, "Rancid", in 1993. Shortly thereafter, Lars Frederiksen (vocals, guitar) joined the band, because... well, are you going to tell him he can't? The result, in 1994, was "Let's Go".

In 1995, RANCID released the classic platinum-selling "...And Out Come The Wolves". You still remember when you first heard it. They followed with the even more ambitious "Life Won't Wait" in 1998, and in 2000, RANCID released another album titled "Rancid", just to see if anyone was paying attention. After "Indestructible" in 2003, Branden Steineckert (drums) joined to solidify RANCID's current lineup. They subsequently released the albums "Let The Dominos Fall" (2009) and "Honor Is All We Know" (2014).

Through it all, RANCID has remained fiercely independent, never losing their loyalty to community or each other. Their music confronts political and social issues, while balancing personal tales of love, loss, and heartbreak with attitude. RANCID gives their listeners a community where everyone can belong. By carrying on the traditions and spirit of the original punk rock bands that came before, RANCID has become a legend an inspiration to punk bands that have come after.

BISON MACHINE Sign To Small Stone Records; New Album Coming Soon

BISON MACHINE Sign To Small Stone Records; New Album Coming Soon

Michigan heavy rockers Bison Machine have signed to American heavy rock institution, Small Stone Records. The Hamtramck-based volume dealers have been on a this-time-it's-personal quest to hand-deliver their riffs across the country since the 2015 release of their debut album, Hoarfrost, on Kozmik Artifactz, and with tours throughout the US under their belt, they're ready to take their game to the proverbial next level.

Bison Machine is currently preparing a new album for release later this year as their Small Stone debut. They will enter Rustbelt Studios (Five Horse Johnson, Halfway to Gone, Novadriver) later this summer to record.

"It's amazing," enthuses Bison Machine bassist Anthony Franchina about the signing. "Small Stone has released some of my favorite records, from Sasquatch to Greenleaf to Lo-Pan, and we couldn't be more thrilled to work with Scott [Hamilton] on our next record, which is going to completely blow away everything we've done before. We'll be hitting the road too, so keep an eye out!"

In addition to working on their next LP, the members of Bison Machine are involved in organizing the Burnin' Turf festival, which is set for June 3rd at the Parisville Saloon in Ruth, Michigan with a lineup featuring Bison Machine, Wild Savages, Dead Feathers, BoneHawk, Red Stone Souls, Rip VanRipper, and Gear Jammer, as well as chopper games, raffle prizes, van and tank lettering by Zak Warmann of Detroit Sign Painters, camping, DJ Smoak (Loy Smoak Jr.) all the way from San Antonio, bonfires, and of course, plenty of beer. Ticket pre-sales are available at this location.

"I can't wait to hear what Bison Machine bring to this next record," says Scott Hamilton of Small Stone Records. "They've been unstoppable on tour for the last couple years and I'm thrilled to welcome them into the Small Stone fold representing the next generation of great American heavy rock and roll."

Bison Machine released their latest single, "Cloak And Bones”, last year. A video for the track can be seen below.

M.O.D. To Release Busted, Broke & American Album In July; First Details Revealed

M.O.D. To Release Busted, Broke & American Album In July; First Details Revealed

With song titles like "You're a Fucking Dick”, "Busted, Broke & American" and "All Out of Bubblegum" you would think that M.O.D. - shorthand for Method Of Destruction - and their founder and fearless leader (the artist formerly known as the legendary Billy Milano), aren't masking their intentions on their new album. In fact, it would be a logical assumption that Milano and co. are putting their unabashed and unedited thoughts and feelings out there for all to see and hear with their new album Busted, Broke & American - self-righteous and politically correct social justice warriors be damned! Busted, Broke & American will be released July 7th via Megaforce Records.  Pre-orders will be available shortly.

As to be expected, Busted, Broke & American is fast, it's furious, and it makes no apologies. It also mixes hardcore, punk rock, and thrash and the end result is a thoroughly combustible collection of songs. The words "I'm sorry" are not a part of the album's vocabulary. At the center of the sonic storm remains Milano, who has never been known to shy away from speaking his mind.

Billy Milano, a voracious reader, avid cook and a Proud and Loud Republican, inadvertently resurrected his hardcore punk rock band in a time when he needed it most. You'd be mistaken to assume anything when it comes to Billy Milano. For M.O.D. and their new album, which finds the band returning to original label home Megaforce Records after two decades, there was no pre-determined mission. At all. It was born of love.

"I had taken off time with M.O.D. in 2009," Milano recalls. "We had done 100 shows for [2007's] Red, White & Screwed. I needed a break. My dog Buster, an American bulldog, got sick with cancer and I started to play guitar again while staying home with him. I started jamming again, anticipating something quick, but it wasn't."

Buster was a huge part of Milano's life, having toured with the frontman. As anyone that truly has forged a deep bond with a canine can relate to, Milano turned to his trusted instrument to help him endure the pain of watching his friend wind down his life. "I just started playing guitar, while sitting there, looking at him, giving him medicine," he says. "I wanted to run and play with my dog, and I couldn't. The only way to be with him was to sit there and play guitar. I had no goal to do a record. I just wrote all the material."

While Milano may be older and wiser these days, he's not any softer. He's admittedly still cynical, but has learned to temper it by being more caring and forgiving. Still, music remains something he loves doing and he still operates off the zero fucks given principle. "I don't give a fuck, but I like playing," he reasons. "I like making records. It's like cooking - it's an extension of me."

KYLE MORRISON To Release Debut Album Pianometal Featuring MEGADETH, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE Members

KYLE MORRISON To Release Debut Album Pianometal Featuring MEGADETH, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE Members

Atlanta, GA based metal pianist Kyle Morrison is set to release his debut, full-length album, Pianometal, on May 26th via Sony Music / The Orchard Enterprises.  The effort is a follow up to 2016’s Lore Of The Immortals, and is described as “a progressive combination of thrash and power metal fronted by blistering fast classically infused piano.” The album contains 12 tracks that feature some of modern metal’s most prominent musicians.

Pianometal features guest performances from Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, Soilwork), Francesco Ferrini (Fleshgod Apocalypse), Sean Z (Daath, Chimaira, Sinsaenum), and Elias Holmlid (Dragonland).

Morrison states: “This is a truly unique crossover experience that provides an entirely new perspective on the context of piano within heavy metal music. It has become increasingly difficult to break the traditional mold and venture in to new territory within metal, but I do hope to have accomplished just that.”

From the brutality of “Hymn oO Blasphemy” and “Eye Of The Storm” to the power metal infused “The Road To Eternity” and “Orion’s Curse,” this album cranks up the tempo and reaches over the top for a truly cinematic experience.

Pianometal will be released in physical and digital formats along with sheet music for solo piano.

“Centrifuge”
“Hymn Of Blasphemy”
“The Cosmos I - Martian Dusk”

IN FLAMES Taps Bassist BRYCE PAUL For U.S. Tour

IN FLAMES Taps Bassist BRYCE PAUL For U.S. Tour

Swedish metallers IN FLAMES have recruited Bryce Paul — a member of the Southern California pop-rock outfit IVES — to play bass for the band on their current U.S. tour, which includes a number of headlining shows and festival appearances.

Fan-filmed video footage of Bryce performing with IN FLAMES on April 29 at the Fort Rock festival at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida can be seen below.

Longtime IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers quit the band in November saying that he was leaving IN FLAMES "to pursue other endeavors." His replacement for some of the recent European shows was Håkan Skoger, who had previously played with PASSENGER and GARDENIAN.

Asked by Metal Express Radio why Iwers chose to depart IN FLAMES after almost twenty years with the band, IN FLAMES guitarist Björn Gelotte said: "He's always been a very busy man, and I think he was just done with this life. He's still writing music, playing music with friends in different constellations. [Peter and I] have [a] bar together [in Gothenburg, Sweden], 2112, so he's busy doing that. He has a brewery together with the old drummer from IN FLAMES, Daniel [Svensson], so he's a very busy man."

According to Gelotte, Iwers first brought up the subject of leaving IN FLAMES before the band's fall 2016 tour with HELLYEAH. "We talked a little bit before the last U.S. run now, and that was, like, November 'till December some time," the guitarist recalled. "We talked a little bit beforehand, and I think he just made the decision early on on that tour.

"We're not 18 anymore," he added. "There's different priorities for different people, and it's just how it works. It's super sad — it's our brother — but then again, we have so much together that we do that I will talk and meet him all the time anyway."

"Battles", IN FLAMES' twelfth studio album, was released on November 11 via Nuclear Blast in all territories excluding North America and Scandinavia and Eleven Seven Music Group in the U.S.

Video: DEMOLITION HAMMER Performs At Germany

Video: DEMOLITION HAMMER Performs At Germany's KEEP IT TRUE Festival

Fan-filmed video footage of reunited cult New York thrashers DEMOLITION HAMMER performing on April 28 at the Keep It True festival at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany can be seen below.

DEMOLITION HAMMER will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its second album, "Epidemic Of Violence", by performing the LP in its entirety at a special show on June 24 at the Gramercy Theater in New York City. There will also be special 25th-anniversary "Epidemic Of Violence" merchandise that will only be sold at the show and will never be manufactured and sold again afterwards.

DEMOLITION HAMMER was active between 1986 and 1994 and released three full-length albums — "Tortured Existence" (1990), "Epidemic Of Violence" (1992) and "Time Bomb" (1994) — all through Century Media.

A DEMOLITION HAMMER compilation, "Necrology: A Complete Anthology", was issued in 2008, also through Century Media. The set contained the band's entire three-album discography across two discs.

In March 2015, Century Media reissued "Tortured Existence" and "Epidemic Of Violence" on vinyl.

Asked how the DEMOLITION HAMMER reunion came about, guitarist Derek Sykes told Rock Hard magazine: "It's kind of something that we've been watching, or I've been watching, for a very long time. Our last show that we played, up until recently, was twenty-five years ago. I've kind of maintained web sites and things like that, and I've been just kind of listening to people talking about the band, and they started talking more and more and more and more. And I had the idea, went to Steve [Reynolds; bass/vocals] and said, 'Hey, what do you think? Maybe we [should] try it.' And he was, like, 'I don't know.' So it really just kind of sat for a while and I just sat in awe, looking at how many people were kind of into it. I didn't expect that at all. And then we reconnected with Jim [James Reilly, guitar] here, and it was great just all three of us hanging out and really just having a great time. And then we went to the Maryland Deathfest not last year, but the year before. And our friends' band SOLSTICE played one of our songs, and we saw the crowd went nuts, and that's really when it hit us: 'Holy shit! We can actually do this.' So we dusted off the guitars, dusted off our arms, and tried to re-learn stuff that we hadn't literally played in twenty years. And we got most of it right."

Added Reynolds: "Derek had been talking to me about it and said, 'Hey, there's really a lot of interest,' and I said, 'Yeah, you're crazy, you're delusional. No one cares about DEMOLITION HAMMER.' But I'm not somebody who's very connected with the Internet or Facebook or anything. He was persistent about it, and like he said, when we went to the Maryland Deathfest and I saw it with my own eyes how much interest there was, I said, 'Okay, you're not crazy. Maybe there is something about this.' Then when we talked to James about it and he was in, that's what really put us over the top."

Regarding whether there are plans for DEMOLITION HAMMER to record a new album, Steve said: "We've talked. But we were so busy just trying to work all this in, we haven't really solidified any plans for that. But we're still talking about it."

Added Reilly: "Now that we see how well this is going, we do have it in our heads to start writing some new material and see where it goes."

Said Derek: "We're just amazed that we can actually still play the stuff that we played twenty-five years ago, and it sounds relatively good. So the next step is, 'Can we still write stuff that holds up to what we did twenty-five years ago?' 'Cause if it doesn't, we're not doing it. So that's really the last hurdle: can we still do it? We'll try to find out."

Continued James: "I think we can. As long as we stay true to ourselves and try not to be something we're not, it should work. I think it'll work."

ENSLAVED Guitarist IVAR BJØRNSON

ENSLAVED Guitarist IVAR BJØRNSON's BARDSPEC Project: 'Bone' Song Streaming

BARDSPEC, the ambient project/band led by ENSLAVED composer/guitarist Ivar Bjørnson, will release its debut album, "Hydrogen", in June via By Norse.

Having launched at Roadburn in 2015, BARDSPEC has since evolved into a fully-fledged band, with Steve Austin on guitars/effects, David Hall presenting the live visual aspect of the project, and the layout created by Josh Graham (SOUNDGARDEN, NEUROSIS).

The song "Bone", taken from "Hydrogen", can be streamed below.

"Bone", in Bjørnson's words, is "a song that is a meditation upon the concepts of strength and endurance, in the micro and the macro. How evolution has made us upright and made to be on the move — and how hard it can be to adapt those features into the realms of our psyche — so that we can undergo the mental evolution that is dormant within us."

BARDSPEC combines stirring, hallucinatory synth-sounds with mercurial guitar effects and hypnotic rhythms that navigate illusory landscapes. Field recordings, and other found-sounds also drift and evaporate into the ether. Working intuitively with these elements and with sharpened senses, attuned to inner impulses, this is immersive music that can exist anywhere and anytime within the minds of the listener.

Whilst BARDSPEC might essentially be the same brain and personality making the music, compared to ENSLAVED, it is a widely different entity. Thematically and sonically, BARDSPEC is about minimizing, subtracting, and meditating upon the simplest essence of "things;" the single points exemplified through song titles like "Bone", "Salt" and so on, the basic elements and foundations that make up the whole. There is an element of "space" in the music and the artwork, as a representation of the inner workings of the mind and the subconscious.

BARDSPEC is inspired by the German masters TANGERINE DREAM, Klaus Schultze and Conrad Schnitzler, in addition to contemporary ambient music like Norwegian one-man-band BIOSPHERE and abstract modern electronic music like WHEN (Norwegian also), as well as the electronic/industrial-driven metal like GODFLESH. Ivar describes the appeal and trance-inducing aspects of such music to him. "I remember listening to Richard Burmer and his album 'Mosaic' from 1984," he says. "I thought I fell asleep but I was in a semi-lucid state where I still registered music — but not much else. At the end of side A there's an explosion so violent and extreme that I jumped two feet into the air and was totally shocked. The weird thing is, I couldn't remember it being there. When I revisited the music again, it was just a little 'thud.' I was just experiencing a trance so deep into the music that this deviation from the pattern and frequencies in the foregoing half hour of monotony totally shocked me. I loved it!" "Hydrogen" track listing:

01. Intro - Deposition02. Bone03. Fire Tongue04. Gamma05. Salt06. Teeth (bonus track) "Hydrogen" willl be released on June 23 across all formats. The six-panel CD digipak is available as limited first press to a thousand copies including bonus track "Teeth". The double gatefold LP is limited to five hundred copies on black vinyl, and the digital format also including the bonus track.

FOZZY Releases Music Video For New Single

FOZZY Releases Music Video For New Single 'Judas'

"Judas", the brand new music video from FOZZY — the band featuring WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho alongside members of STUCK MOJO — can be seen below.

Jericho offers his take on the "Judas" clip, stating: "For such a dark and sexy song like 'Judas', we wanted a dark and sexy video to match...and we got that and more! In one take we filmed a unique, visually stunning masterpiece that combines an incredible song, psycho clowns, hot chicks, a man on fire and a great rock n roll band, all in one tasty video morsel. What more could you want...a giant rabbit holding balloons? Oh yeah, we've got that too!"

"Judas" is the title track of FOZZY's new album, which will be released this summer via Century Media. Jericho told "The Front Row Report" about what fans can expect from the new disc: "It's definitely the next step. It's an extension. It's more of an evolving FOZZY. We really put a lot of stock in bands like U2 and GUNS N' ROSES and METALLICA, and I think the best example might be David Bowie, where there's always different styles, different eras, and we like that too. And we're not completely changing what we do. But there's different more melodies and this is very much a hookier record. There's not as many guitar solos on the record, but it's still heavy and melodic. It's an evolution from 'Do You Wanna Start A War' [2014] as much as 'Do You Wanna Start A War' was an evolution from 'Sin And Bones' [2012]. I think it's a great trilogy of records that shows a lot of growth, but it's still very heavy and very melodic. Like I said, the trilogy of records — from 'Sin And Bones' to 'Judas' — I think they're all very great records that have a little bit different elements to them all, which is a key to longevity for sure."

Jericho also talked about the songwriting process for "Judas", which was composed during late 2015 and most of 2016 while FOZZY took a break from the road.

"We never really sit in a room and write," he said. "In the past, I would write my parts and send them over to [guitarist] Rich [Ward] and Rich would send it back to me. Also, we had Johnny Andrews writing with us for the whole record. He wrote 'Lights Go Out' on the last record, so we wanted him involved. He produced the record, so Rich and him did a lot of sessions [in the studio where they spent many hours] jamming it out… We wanted to give him total control and let him produce the record and make the record that he thought we should make, and we're really happy that we did."

FOZZY recently announced the return of bassist Paul Di Leo. Paul previously played with FOZZY between 2011 and 2014 and appeared on the group's last two studio albums.

After "Do You Wanna Start A War"'s release, Di Leo was replaced on the road by Jeff Rouse and later by Randy Drake.

"Do You Wanna Start A War" sold around 5,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 54 on the Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived on July 22, 2014 via Century Media.

POWERFLO Feat. BIOHAZARD, CYPRESS HILL, Ex-FEAR FACTORY Members:

POWERFLO Feat. BIOHAZARD, CYPRESS HILL, Ex-FEAR FACTORY Members: 'Resistance' Lyric Video

The official lyric video for the song "Resistance" from POWERFLO — the new band featuring BIOHAZARD's Billy Graziadei and former FEAR FACTORY bassist/guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers alongside Sen Dog from CYPRESS HILL, Rogelio Lozano from DOWNSET, and Brazilian drummer Fernando Schaefer — can be seen below.

"Resistance" is taken from POWERFLO's forthcoming self-titled debut album, due out June 23 via New Damage Records. Those who preorder the album digitally will receive "Resistance" as an instant grat track. Both New Damage and PledgeMusic pre-orders include bundle options with various exclusive limited items, including snapback caps, rolling papers, signed vinyl, test presses, exclusive performances and more. Melding hip-hop, metal, punk, and rock into a potent offering, POWERFLO draws on its powerhouse resume to collectively smash boundaries. The album is produced by Josh Lynch and Billy Graziadei, mixed by Jay Baumgardner (GODSMACK, PAPA ROACH, HELMET) and mastered by Maor Applebaum (FAITH NO MORE, HALFORD, ADRENALINE MOB) at Maor Applebaum Mastering. Of the "Resistance" lyric video, Sen Dog commented, "We're here to make honest music. It's not about pleasing anybody or confirming anything. We're creating from a pure place. We worked our asses off. It's not a one-time thing. It's just the first POWERFLO album. There's much more to come..." Graziadei added: "Getting our music out there has been a while in the making but I'm looking forward to finally having POWERFLO in everyone's hands. We dropped a video for 'Resistance' first since it basically sums up how we all roll, living life on our terms! Our lives, our way, rising up against any force that stands against us. Next up, live POWERFLO in your face like a shotgun blast!" The origins of POWERFLO can be traced back over more than two decades as the members of the band would collaborate on numerous occasions. In addition to both CYPRESS HILL and BIOHAZARD appearing on the landmark platinum-selling "Judgment Night" soundtrack, Sen Dog delivered a cameo on BIOHAZARD's "State Of The World Address" in 1993, while Christian both guested on CYPRESS HILL's chart-topping 2000 double-album "Skulls & Bones", which Roy also guested on, and 2001's "Stone Raiders" in addition to performing with the group countless times. In 2015, longtime friend Roy played demos for Sen on a ride to the airport. The music immediately spoke to the rapper and thus POWERFLO was born.

Regarding how the name for the new project came about, Christian told The New American Media: "Basically, Sen Dog was spitting his game on some of the heavy riffs and shit. And he was, like, 'Do you like this?' And Roy, the other guitar player, said, 'Yeah. A power flow. That's good.' So that's where it kind of came from."

Graziadei has described POWERFLO's musical direction as a cross between IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH and CYPRESS HILL.

The all-new LP will be the first release since the band put out "Carver City" in 2009. The disc was engineered and mixed at Rancho De La Luna, the highly regarded recording studio in Joshua Tree, California.

"We're stoked to get a new album out after an eight-year hiatus," says drummer Jess Margera. "'Days Of Self Destruction' was the first song we recorded at Rancho De La Luna, featuring our buddy and all-around badass Brent Hinds [of MASTODON]!"

In addition to all preorders now being live, the track is also an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the album on iTunes will receive "Days Of Self Destruction" as an instant download.

The cover art for "The Phoenix" is also being revealed today. The band commissioned chandelier maker and artist Adam Wallacavage to create a one-of-a-kind piece for the cover.

CKY has tour dates booked all summer highlighted by a return to the 2017 Vans Warped Tour. This is the band's first time returning to the Warped Tour since 2000. But first the band will head over to the U.K. to do thirteen-show run, most of which are already sold out. This will be the first time the band has been back to the U.K. since 2009. CKY will then head to Canada for ten key shows from Quebec all the way to Vancouver.

Chad I Ginsburg, the band's guitarist and singer, steps into the frontman role with charisma, charm, and bravado, confidently delivering a diverse performance as he claims a position that was clearly rightfully his to own. He's joined in enduring partnership and musical and personal chemistry by fellow CKY co-founder, Jess Margera, the drummer whose extracurricular work in projects like THE COMPANY BAND (with guys from CLUTCH and FIREBALL MINISTRY) expanded CKY's horizons as much as Ginsburg's solo work has as well. The duo returned to their primary project refreshed and reenergized, with bassist Matt Deis (ex-ALL THAT REMAINS), who first joined CKY in 2005.

GUNS N' ROSES, METALLICA and DEFTONES have all personally invited CKY on tour, cementing a legacy as a hard-charging live act. CKY built a worldwide fanbase of dedicated acolytes, friends, and supporters, lovingly dubbed the CKY Alliance, with a broader group of musicians, athletes, and other creative types in the CKY family, both literally and figuratively.

"We're grown adults now with an eagle-eye perspective on who we are, what we do, and how to do it right," Ginsburg declares, with matter-of-fact certainty. "None of us are out there in the clouds. We're pretty well-grounded people that have an honest perspective on where we're at."

Jyrki 69, lead vocalist for Helsinki's darkest and deadliest goth metal band THE 69 EYES, will release his first-ever solo album on June 23 via Cleopatra Records. BAD WOLVES Feat. Former DEVILDRIVER, GOD FORBID, DIVINE HERESY Members:

BAD WOLVES Feat. Former DEVILDRIVER, GOD FORBID, DIVINE HERESY Members: 'Learn To Live' Video Released

"Learn To Live", the first video from BAD WOLVES, can be seen below.

When art can't be pigeonholed or pinned down, it elevates the very medium itself. BAD WOLVES thrives on that sort of unpredictability, standing confidently at a crossroads between anthemic hard rock infectiousness and thought-provoking technically-charged heavy metal. Think a cross between the mind-numbing musical malevolence of MESHUGGAH and SEVENDUST's timeless irresistibility, and you're halfway there… The vision of ex-DEVILDRIVER co-founder and previous driving force John Boecklin (drums, guitars) and vocalist Tommy Vext (SNOT, DIVINE HERESY, WESTFIELD MASSACRE) as well as Doc Coyle (guitar; GOD FORBID), Chris Cain (guitar; BURY YOUR DEAD), and Kyle Konkiel (bass; VIMIC, IN THIS MOMENT), the group's full-length debut represents metallic evolution in its purest form.

The result of a musical journey he kicked off in 2014, Boecklin describes the style best.

"We sound like a heavy-slightly prog rock band that tunes low and cuts off most of the fat," he explains. "Watching FAITH NO MORE on the reunion tour made my thought process change. I was standing there, and it hit me that I don't want to be in a metal band with screaming all the time. We're heavy, yet from track-to-track, things change quite a bit."

"More was revealed, so more was required," adds Vext. "The overall tonality and approach resonated with me as an opportunity to challenge myself and grow as a vocalist. I was given a platform to tap into some musical influences I hadn't yet explored in previous bands. All in all, it was some of the most diverse, original material I've gotten to wrap my hands around."

"In no rush to put together something reminiscent of [his] musical past," Boecklin quietly wrote over the course of 2015. During summer '16, he entered AudioHammer Studios with longtime collaborator Mark Lewis (TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS) and tracked what would become the group's debut album.

"Starting from scratch is never easy," admits Boecklin. "Many musical roads were traveled before getting to what you hear today — it's trial and error. I kept reminding myself not to do what I've done before. Eventually, we started to hear what we wanted."

Now, the first single, "Learn To Live", snaps from a chugging polyrhythmic riff into a hummable bridge before colliding with an undeniable refrain that's impossible to shake and the final scream, "You'd better learn to fucking live."

"The aim of the song was to basically challenge listeners to ask themselves, 'Am I willing to take personal responsibility for my own happiness?'," says Vext. "It's a concept I use in my day-to-day life as a sober life coach. It's meant to address situational depression, anxiety, and the disconnect from interpersonal relationships as a byproduct of social media addiction."

Album opener "A Toast To The Ghosts" delivers a searing gut-punch punctuated by sharp succinct fretwork, smart-bomb precise percussion, and another searing vocal performance. Everything culminates on the pensive and punishing "Blood And Bones". Vext adds, "It's like an open letter to an abusive relationship partner that no longer serves you or the opposing counterpart. It's left open to interpretation."

Defined by a push-and-pull between incalculable instrumentation and soaring melodies, BAD WOLVES will keep listeners guessing and thinking on their path to hard rock and metal supremacy.

"This is something new for me," Boecklin leaves off. "It's the most unique drumming I've ever done. Tommy has never sounded so good. The songs are much more diverse than anything from our collective past. I'd love for people to take away some sort of connection emotionally. That's what all of the bands who inspire me do. Everything else doesn't really matter."

CULTURAL WARFARE - Capital Chaos TV Posts Complete Sacramento Show

CULTURAL WARFARE - Capital Chaos TV Posts Complete Sacramento Show

Bay Area band Cultural Warfare performed at Cafe Colonial in Sacramento, California on April 29th. Their full 40 minute set is available below courtesy of Capital Chaos TV.

Cultural Warfare are a unique combination of traditional metal and aggressive, melodic thrash metal topped by the powerful vocals of Jacques Serrano (Taunted). They recently released a lyric video for the Future Kill EP’s title track, following up on the popular “Defy The Blade” lyric video that initially caught the M-Theory Audio label’s attention.

“We are very excited to release our next video, ‘Future Kill’, from our EP of the same name,” explains drummer Kevin Doughty. “‘Future Kill’ is essentially a spin on a futuristic World War 3. The apocalypse or the almighty Cultural Warfare! Politics, division, false media, and corruption will lead us to this if we do not take a stand. This song is also a precursor to our full-length that we will release by the end of the year. That album will have songs that describe our world in a post-apocalyptic environment and what the human condition will be. It will also show the perseverance of humanity to rebuild the human race. Enjoy the new clip. The Future Kill is upon you!”

Hailing out of Oakland, California, Cultural Warfare is made up of four seasoned musicians with one common goal. Former Taunted members vocalist Jacques Serrano and bassist Pete Aguilar join forces with Cultural Warfare alum guitarist Billy Garoutte and drummer Kevin Doughty to form the heaviest lineup of CW to date. All four members having long standing roots in the Bay Area back to the golden age of thrash metal, Cultural Warfare understands as well as anyone the rich history and lineage that bands like Metallica, Exodus, Death Angel, Testament, Forbidden, and Vio-lence started in the '80s.

JOURNEY - Pro-Shot Footage Of "City By The Bay" And "Don't Stop Believin'" From Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction Posted; STEVE PERRY Acceptance Speech Available

JOURNEY - Pro-Shot Footage Of "City By The Bay" And "Don't Stop Believin'" From Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction Posted; STEVE PERRY Acceptance Speech Available

In the much anticipated Journey reunion 20 years in the making, former vocalist Steve Perry gave an acceptance speech at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction award. Pro shot-video of Perry's heartfelt speech and the band's performance of "City By The Bay" and "Don't Stop Believin'" featuring current singer Arnel Pineda can be viewed below.

The Rock Hall induction ceremony was broadcast on HBO on April 29th, 2017.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Journey guitarist Neal schon opened up about reconnecting with singer Steve Perry after over a decade at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction. Following is an excerpt:

Rolling Stone: It's been four days. Are you still buzzing?

Schon: "Yeah, man. It's really kind of surreal. The whole event was amazing. I really loved seeing Steve Perry, who I haven't seen in a long time, since we did the Hollywood Walk of Fame (in 2005). I went in his room backstage. I think it was one of the reasons I was so highly emotional. I hadn't seen him in a long time and I realized how tight we always were. Looking at the old pictures and listening to the music we made together, I got emotional. Probably had I not been in his room before so I wouldn't have been as emotional, but who knows? Steve and I were very, very tight for so many years.

At the end of Journey, around Trial By Fire (in 1996) or even Raised on Radio (in 1986) we were having a falling out as far as the direction of the band. It was more or less like that. There were a lot of other issues going on that were kind of stupid looking back. I'd hoped we'd put everything aside and get back to our great friendship that we always had, the admiration and respect we had for one another. I felt like that was definitely there. Some of his friends were in the room with my wife and I, and they snapped some photos. People can genuinely see that he was very happy and so was I. Every picture tells a story."

Rolling Stone: What did you and Steve talk about when you were in his room?

Schon: "I looked at him and said, 'Hey man, I really miss you.' There was very good eye contact. It was real. It wasn't just things being said because of the ceremony and to keep things cool. He said, 'Coffee is way overdue for us.' I went, 'Let's do it. Please.'"

Pro-Shot Video Of YES Featuring GEDDY LEE Performing "Roundabout" At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction Posted

Pro-Shot Video Of YES Featuring GEDDY LEE Performing "Roundabout" At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction Posted

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Class of 2017 inductions took place on Friday, April 7th at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, NY. During the festivities, Rush vocalist/bassist Geddy Lee joined YES for a performance of "Roundabout" featuring former YES vocalist Jon Anderson. Pro-shot video is available below.

As the members of YES prepared for their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Class of 2017 drummer Alan White looked back on the band's nearly 50-year history and what's still to come for one of the world's most influential, ground-breaking, and respected progressive rock bands.

Q: Congratulations on YES' upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. It's an honor that salutes the band's legacy - which you've been upholding via years of consistent touring, the release of new music (including the recent studio album, Heaven & Earth) and the band's annual Cruise To The Edge. To what do you attribute the band's staying power year after year?

A: “I think it comes down to the fact that we made a decision a long time ago to create music that we loved first and foremost. I can't even count how many times we heard from the music business proper that we were crazy for doing what we were doing.

“As a result of following our own hearts and muse, I believe we built a timeless body of work that continues to speak to people. We're very lucky to have such an incredible fan base that commits to every tour and picks up each new album. It started with an honesty between the band members. That translated to the fans. They've hitched along for the ride. We're very thankful for them. They keep us young!”

Q: What does being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame mean to you?

A: “It's a complete honor! Gaining this sort of industry recognition for something we've just naturally done is extremely humbling and satisfying.

“We've put in a lot of work over a long time period. It's nice to know that work doesn't go unnoticed. It's a big deal to all of us. It's funny because I actually received confirmation that we were being inducted for sure while watching The Today Show! We had hints from our management and that sort of thing, but it became real on national television. I can always laugh when that show comes on now.”

Q: Throughout your time in YES and up until his death, you and late bassist Chris Squire were best friends and made music together for over 40 years. Do you have a favorite memory of performing with Chris? What about him inspired (or still inspires) you as a musician?

A: “I have so many memories of Chris. It's almost hard to pick. I can share one that always sticks out... Personally, the standard 4/4-time signature never satisfied me. A while back, Chris came up to me, looked me in the eye, and said, "I've forgotten how to play in four because we do everything in five, seven, and nine! How do we play in four?" It really brought a smile to my face. I was like, "Let me show you."

“What inspires me about Chris is that he always did everything to the utmost extreme. There was no compromise. If he had an idea, he would find a way to make it work, regardless of how insane it might have seemed. I feel like this award is a tribute to him. In many ways, he was like the heart of Yes-a true cornerstone of everything we do.”

Q: How important is it for YES to play for your fans every year? And to continue carrying on the YES name for Chris, who asked that you, his friend and replacement on bass Billy Sherwood and the rest of the band to keep his legacy going?

A: “We love to share this music. The fans keep it alive by showing up. We don't let a year go by without giving them something.

“As far as keeping the YES name going, I don't really feel like there was any other choice after Chris had expressed his wishes so clearly. We had worked together for 43 years. It's unbelievable to think about. I wish he could be here with us for all of these wonderful moments, but it's an opportunity to honor his legacy all the same every time we go on stage. I'm always thinking about him.”

Q: This year marks your 45th year as a member of YES. What were your thoughts back then when you first joined the group?

A: “You're making me feel old [Laughs]. It'll be 45 years in July to be exact that I've been playing with the same band. Can somebody call the Guinness Book of World Records?

“I was actually asked to join the band right before a major tour in America in 1972. I had to learn the entire catalog in three days. It was a really thrilling sort of trial by fire, so to speak. I'm happy I made it out. I was excited and nervous all at once. I'm out on the road and thrown into this incredible world that would become my life forever.”

Q: In the almost 50 years since YES formed, the styles and genres of music have constantly changed. Yet the influence of YES' music is still present and has impacted both established and emerging artists. Can you talk a little about what that means to you?

A: “The band established a style of music that really changed the direction of an entire genre. Because of that, it resonated with a lot of younger musicians. It still does to this day. That's an amazing feeling. There's no endorsement like that of another artist. They're carrying the torch. I'll often listen to music and hear a little bit of what we did here and there. It's really touching and quite impressive to hear how the next generation re-interprets and re-shapes that blueprint.”

Q: Since 2013, YES has been performing albums in full on tour, including The Yes Album, Close To The Edge, Going For The One, Fragile, Drama and Tales From Topographic Oceans, which illustrates that YES has been a true album band. How artistically satisfying has it been for you to perform albums in full?

A: “Artistically, it's very satisfying to revisit the albums on stage. They can be quite challenging. The very exercise itself keeps us all on our toes. Quite recently, we did a pretty extreme set in Japan where we played Drama in its entirety and side one and side four of Tales from Topographic Oceans. It was unbelievable to see the Japanese crowds singing along to every word. That passionate and enthusiastic response really fuels you when you're up there playing. You feel it.

“Sure, it's a lot of music, but I enjoy performing records from top-to-bottom. It becomes more of an immersive experience. I'd liken it to a symphony.”

JACK RUSSELL Joins DOKKEN On Stage At M3 ROCK FESTIVAL For 'Alone Again' Performance (Video)

Former GREAT WHITE and current JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell joined DOKKEN on stage on April 29 at the M3 Rock Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland to perform the classic DOKKEN song "Alone Again". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

DOKKEN leader Don Dokken, guitarist George Lynch, bassist Jeff Pilson and drummer "Wild" Mick Brown completed a short Japanese tour last October, marking the first time in twenty-one years the band's classic lineup had hit the road.

A new DOKKEN concert DVD focusing on the band's reunion tour is tentatively due before the end of the year. The set will feature footage from two of the Japanese shows — including Tokyo — as well as the band's very first comeback gig, which was held on September 30, 2016 at Badlands Pawn Guns Gold And Rock 'N' Roll in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Don told Billboard that the main reason he doesn't want to continue with the classic DOKKEN lineup is that "loves" the band he has now — which features Brown, alongside guitarist Jon Levin and bassist Chris McCarvil.

JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE's debut album, "He Saw it Comin'", was released on January 27 via Frontiers Music Srl. The disc features Jack Russell alongside former GREAT WHITE bassist-turned-guitarist Tony Montana (as a guitar player and keyboardist), Dan McNay (MONTROSE) on bass, Robby Lochner (FIGHT) on guitar and Dicki Fliszar (BRUCE DICKINSON) on drums.

JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE is not to be confused with the current touring and recording version of GREAT WHITE, which features Mark Kendall, Scott Snyder (bass), Audie Desbrow (drums), Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards) and Terry Ilous (lead vocals).

The German leg will see MAIDEN also perform in Frankfurt and Hamburg before dates in Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Cardiff and Dublin.

SHINEDOWN is providing support act on all sixteen dates.

Prior to the tour, IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris said: "As it's been so long since our last full U.K. arena tour, we really wanted to get to our fans in as many cities as possible. We're really looking forward to it, especially visiting places we haven't been to for a very long time, like Leeds, where we haven't played since 2005, and Liverpool, where we haven't played since 1990.

"The whole band is really enjoying this tour and although we love playing festivals and stadiums, it is terrific to return to the intimacy and atmosphere of arenas.

"The songs from 'The Book Of Souls' album and the new Maya-themed Eddies and stage sets have gone down really well and fan reaction has been amazing. And, of course, we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, which we will continue to do."

"The Book Of Souls" is MAIDEN's first ever double studio album and their most successful chart-wise to date, debuting at the No. 1 spot in over 40 countries around the world and No. 4 in the U.S.A.

IRON MAIDEN's "The Book Of Souls" world tour will return to North America for an extensive series of arena and amphitheater shows in June and July. Support on the trek will come from GHOST.

METALLICA Bassist Joins 12-Year-Old Son, KORN On Stage In Lima (Video)

METALLICA Bassist Joins 12-Year-Old Son, KORN On Stage In Lima (Video)

METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo joined KORN and his 12-year-old son Tye on stage last night (Saturday, April 29) at the Vivo X el Rock festival in Lima, Peru to perform the KORN classic "Blind". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Tye played bass for KORN during the band's South American tour after the group's's regular bassist, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, was unable to make the shows due to "unforeseen circumstances."

Fieldy will rejoin his KORN bandmates at the Carolina Rebellion festival on May 6.

KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer told NME about the band's collaboration with Tye: "He knows, like, seventeen, eighteen KORN songs, and he knows them really well — it's crazy. All the stops, and the breaks… It's crazy to see somebody that young so talented. He's gonna be a professional musician, and to know that at that early of an age is just inspiring."

Speaking of how the union came about, Munky said: "There was a moment when a couple of the guys from METALLICA and Jonathan [Davis, KORN vocalist] and Fieldy kinda bumped into each other in some airline lounge, and Robert was, like, 'Hey, have you checked out my son playing bass?!' They were watching some videos and Jonathan and Fieldy were, like, 'Woah, he's so good!' When we found out Fieldy wasn't gonna be able to come on this trip with us, he suggested Tye. It's not just some replacement — this is the DNA of Robert Trujillo, one of the greatest bass players on the planet! You can see it — it's crazy how much you see his dad in him."

Robert Trujillo told Brazil's Globo Play about Tye: "I never forced him on music. I always felt that if he wanted to embrace an instrument, great; I'd try to help him with it. So initially, at first, it was drums. And then around that same time, when he was one, he had a little plastic guitar, and he would play it all the time, just strumming it — always strumming it everywhere, to the point where the plastic was worn down."

He continued: "It's a beautiful thing, 'cause he's still a 12-year-old, and he still acts wild and crazy, as a twelve-year-old should, but when it comes to music, he's very focused. And with KORN, it's funny, because I haven't shown him anything at all for the KORN stuff — I've been too busy and I've been out of town a lot — and he's taking this opportunity very serious."

Robert Trujillo previously told the Huffington Post that Tye was "an amazing bass player and a really great writer. The bass lines that he's writing and the riffs, I'm like, 'Man, I wish I had written that.' He's coming up with stuff on his own, but he's also been influenced by players like Jaco Pastorius, but also Miles Davis or BLACK SABBATH or LED ZEPPELIN."

Trujillo added: "He's like a sponge. He loves funk. He loves James Brown, he's this little 12-year-old who's soaking up and embracing all this different music and I can tell that it's helping him creatively in what he's writing with his band."

Tye's own band, THE HELMETS, counts TOOL, ALICE IN CHAINS and METALLICA among their influences. Tye told Billboard last year, "We hate pop, we despise it. It's all the same sound."

Listen To New FOZZY Single

Listen To New FOZZY Single 'Judas'

"Judas", the brand new single from FOZZY — the band featuring WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho alongside members of STUCK MOJO — received its world premiere earlier tonight (Sunday, April 30) on the BBC Radio 1 "Rock Show" with Daniel P. Carter. You can now listen to the song at BBC.co.uk, beginning at around the 1:58:20 mark.

"Judas" is the title track of FOZZY's new album, which will be released this summer via Century Media. Jericho told "The Front Row Report" about what fans can expect from the new disc (hear audio below): "It's definitely the next step.

REVOLUTION SAINTS Feat. DEEN CASTRONOVO, DOUG ALDRICH, JACK BLADES: Video Of First-Ever Performance

REVOLUTION SAINTS Feat. DEEN CASTRONOVO, DOUG ALDRICH, JACK BLADES: Video Of First-Ever Performance

REVOLUTION SAINTS, the band featuring Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH), Doug Aldrich (THE DEAD DAISIES, WHITESNAKE, DIO), and Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES), made its live debut on Friday, April 28 at the VIP acoustic party of the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, Italy. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

REVOLUTION SAINTS recently entered the studio in Italy to start recording its second album with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio, who also helmed the band's debut album.

Castronovo, Aldrich and Blades will record a scorching set of songs written by Doug and Alessandro between the end of 2016 and early 2017.

The band hopes to do more shows to promote the forthcoming album, which is currently set for a release in early October.

REVOLUTION SAINTS was initially the vision of Frontiers president Serafino Perugino, who for years had hoped to work on a project where Deen would be the lead vocalist. Having previously worked with all three artists on different projects on Frontiers, getting Deen, Jack and Doug together was a dream come true for the president of the label. With production overseen by in-house Frontiers man Del Vecchio, the recording process for REVOLUTION SAINTS' debut happened in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2014.

Aldrich told CrypticRock.com about REVOLUTION SAINTS: "We definitely have a chemistry together. When we got together to do some videos as well as recording together up in Portland, it was undeniable that we had a chemistry, and it sounds like that on the record. Spending time with those guys is super fun and we all fell into our own zone. For example, Deen is a frontman and the drummer with Jack, but he is like the young kid that has way too much energy, bouncing off the walls. I am kind of the quiet guy; I really do not have much to say. I just want to play. Jack is kind of the general; he took over, and in a good way, because you need somebody to be the boss. You need somebody to organize stuff or else you are wasting time or going down long paths. Jack keeps you focused. Then we all have our creative side, but the energy that Deen has is just infectious. I hope to be able to put it together where we will be able to do some shows."

Video: RATT Performs At M3 ROCK FESTIVAL

Video: RATT Performs At M3 ROCK FESTIVAL

The newly reunited RATT, featuring three members of the band's classic lineup — singer Stephen Pearcy, bassist Juan Croucier and guitarist Warren DeMartini — performed on April 29 at M3 Rock Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.

As before, Pearcy, Croucier and DeMartini were joined on stage by former QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo, who played on RATT's last studio album, 2010's "Infestation", and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso, who previously played with Y&T, WHITE LION and MEGADETH, among others.

A completely different version of RATT — led by drummer Bobby Blotzer and featuring a revolving door of members — has been hitting stages across the country since the fall of 2015.

Last November, a California judge ruled against Blotzer with respect to whether Croucier had committed trademark infringement by using the RATT name and logo to advertise his band RATT'S JUAN CROUCIER back in the fall 2015. The judge furthermore decided that the corporation WBS, Inc. — of which Blotzer and DeMartini were thought to be the sole shareholders — did not have ownership interest in the RATT marks and that the name and brand was still owned by the members who were part of the original RATT partnership agreement.

In addition to claiming to have expelled Blotzer from the partnership following the latest court ruling, DeMartini, Croucier and singer Stephen Pearcy said that Blotzer could now only refer to himself as a "former member of RATT," as per the partnership agreement.

Blotzer's most recent lineup of RATT included singer Seann Nicols (QUIET RIOT) alongside guitarists Mitch Perry (TALAS, HEAVEN, STEELER, MSG, LITA FORD) and Stacey Blades (L.A. GUNS) and bassist Brad Lang (Y&T).

PAPA ROACH Releases

PAPA ROACH Releases 'Help' Music Video

"Help", the new Darren Craig-directed video from PAPA ROACH, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's ninth studio album, "Crooked Teeth", which will be released on May 19 via Eleven Seven Music. The disc will be available digitally and physically, as a standard (10 tracks) and deluxe (10 tracks + 3 brand new tracks + 16 Live tracks Live at the Fillmore Detroit) editions (see details below).

"Help" burst on to the radio waves and streaming services last month by debuting as No. 1 Most Added at Active Rock.

Written and recorded in a cramped North Hollywood studio, "Crooked Teeth" was produced by first timers Nicholas "RAS" Furlong and Colin Brittain, with the exception of "Born For Greatness", which saw the band collaborate with writer/producer Jason Evigan (Jason Derulo, Demi Lovato, Zedd, MAROON 5) for this positive, pulsating anthem. Furlong and Brittain, who grew up listening to PAPA ROACH, inspired the band to revisit some of the traits that personally endeared the band to them, most notably singer Jacoby Shaddix's remarkable rapping technique and the band's intense live energy.

"The first time we met up with RAS and Colin, they said that [2000's] 'Infest' was on constant rotation when they were growing up and they wanted to bring back some of that fire," says Shaddix. Adds Furlong, "The whole idea was to take the classic elements of PAPA ROACH that everyone loved and revamp them into a modern version of the sound through the creative process, and we ended up with a bold, courageous and more adventurous version of PAPA ROACH."

The Furlong/Brittain production team worked to bring in elements of music from different genres and parts of the world, and pockets of rhythm people associate more with rap or reggae, while still staying true to PAPA ROACH's sound. "The people who have wanted to hear me rap for years are gonna love some of the viciousness on this record," Shaddix proclaims.

From the instantly infectious nature of the title track to the atmospheric sheen of the moody ballad "Periscope" (featuring Skylar Grey) and the acoustic/ hip-hop rock mashup of "Sunrise Trailer Park" (featuring Machine Gun Kelly adding a verse to Shaddix rap) "Crooked Teeth" displays the various sides of PAPA ROACH and illustrates why they've managed to remain relevant while other musical trends ebb and flow. "We didn't go into this album with the intention of trying to write radio singles," guitarist Jerry Horton explains. "This collection of songs was really about bookending everything that we’ve done prior to this album and reintroducing PAPA ROACH to people who didn't realize the depth that we have," says drummer Tony Palermo.

In many ways making "Crooked Teeth" reminded Shaddix of the band's earliest days, well before they sold millions of albums and became a household name. "When we were in the rehearsal space I wasn’t thinking about who I needed to impress, I was thinking about how much I love making music with the guys in this band." "It [the album] feels honest and pure and that’s all we could hope for," adds bassist Tobin Esperance.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE To Release

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE To Release 'Live From Brixton: Chapter Two' DVD, Blu-Ray, CD In July

The last two nights of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's 2016 U.K. tour took place on December 9 and December 10 at the O2 Brixton Academy, with the second night seeing the band playing its debut album, "The Poison", in full on its tenth anniversary year. Both shows were captured by Live Here Now and are set for release as "Live From Brixton: Chapter Two" on July 28. Nights one and two are both available on limited-edition double CDs, plus deluxe 2 x DVD and Blu-ray editions (which include both evenings' performances). Finally, "Night Two: Performing The Poison" in its entirety is also available on triple red LP. All formats are available across specially priced bundles.

Video footage of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE performing the song "Her Voice Resides", taken from from "Live From Brixton: Chapter Two", can be seen below.

In a 2016 interview with Metal Obsession, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck stated about the the fact that it has been more than a decade since "The Poison" first came out: "Yeah, it's gone in the blink of an eye. The lifestyle of the band has been so hectic. It really has just gone by. When you think of the reality of how long that's passed since then, the journey we've been on since that record is incredible. We've achieved the unachievable in many ways and twelve years later we're still very relevant in heavy metal. Very, very shocked how quick it’s gone."

Asked which song he was most looking forward to performing from that record at the Brixton show, Tuck said: "I don't know. Probably 'Her Voice Resides', the opener. It was the opening soundtrack to our career in a way. Having that intro play at our first headline shows and launch into 'Her Voice Resides'. They were very exciting times in our lives. I think as soon as that intro rolls, we haven't used it since 2006 or 2007. Having that intro in the PA system and people screaming in the background will be a very goosebumpy moment for us."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE recently commenced work on material for its sixth album, tentatively due before the end of the year. The disc will be released through the band's new label home, Search And Destroy, the imprint launched in 2014 by Spinefarm and international artist management company Raw Power Management.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's latest song, "Don't Need You", was released as a standalone single last November.

The band's last studio album, "Venom", came out in August 2015. The CD marked BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's first release since the departure of longtime bassist Jason James and addition of Mathias (formerly of REVOKER).

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas took a temporary leave of absence from the band last year to spend time with his wife, as they awaited the birth of his first child. He has since been replaced on the road by Jason Bowld (PITCHSHIFTER, AXEWOUND).
