Video footage of RILEY'S L.A. GUNS' July 4 performance at the M3 Rock Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland can be seen below.
This past April, an out-of-court resolution was reached in the legal dispute over the rights to the L.A. GUNS name. Under the terms of the settlement agreement, guitarist Tracii Guns and singer Phil Lewis will continue to operate under the L.A. GUNS trademark, while Steve Riley and his bandmates from the other version of L.A. GUNS will now operate under the new name RILEY'S L.A. GUNS.
Two months ago, Guns discussed the resolution in an interview with The SDR Show. He said: "We ended up settling in a way where, basically, [Steve] licenses the words L.A. GUNS for free; I'm not even asking for a percentage of when he plays. I'm just saying, 'Hey, I could have taken your house. I could have taken anything you own. But I don't want you to die in the street, and I don't want you to be poor.' And I really love his son, Cole. It just got to the point with all this litigation…
"I live in Denmark half the time, so when we did this thing called a mediation, that mediation started at 11 p.m. Denmark time, and it was nine hours," he continued. "And I just had a baby. And my wife and my baby were in the bedroom, and I'm in the living room, and this is our first apartment there, which is, like, 72 square meters — it's tiny. And I'm up, and I'm doing this mediation. And finally, it just got to the point where [we were] just going back and forth, and I'm, like, 'How can I easily make it just make sense?' 'Cause in the end, they had no argument. 'Well, I'm in L.A. GUNS.' That was the argument. No, you're not — you're not in L.A. GUNS. You were hired by me. The bass player guy was hired by me. And it's as simple as that. But if you wanna pretend that you came up with the name or you formed the band or it was your musical vision or that you even wrote one fucking song, you can go live in that fantasy, as long as it doesn't infringe on my business."
In a separate interview with Sonic Perspectives, Guns addressed the fact that Riley's version of L.A. GUNS played at the M3 Rock Festival in 2019 and released a full-length album under the L.A. GUNS name, last year's "Renegades". He said: "Dude, when they did those couple of shows, we got so much angry e-mail from our fans. People were, like, 'What the fuck? None of you guys were there!' We would have to explain it's a different band with the same name. When I say a lot, I'm talking over a thousand e-mails. Then they put out a record using the name L.A. GUNS, [and] the e-mails just escalated. That was the point where some from our family stepped who had unlimited funds, which we used to stop this. It was what we needed to do, and it is done. Can you imagine, now they have to make up their legal fees? In what reality is it worth it? For Steve Riley to spend $80,000, and they will never make that back with RILEY'S L.A. GUNS. There is no logic, and it's so bizarre."
RILEY'S L.A. GUNS features Riley alongside Orlando, Florida-based guitarist/vocalist Kurt Frohlich, bassist Kelly Nickels (a member of L.A. GUNS' "classic" incarnation) and guitarist Scott Griffin (who played bass for the band from 2007 until 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2014).
In January 2020, Riley was sued by Lewis and Guns in California District Court. Joining Riley as defendants in the case were the three musicians who performed in his rival version of L.A. GUNS; that group's manager, booking agent and merchandiser; and Golden Robot Records. The complaint, which requested a trial by jury, alleged that Riley's version of L.A. GUNS (referred to in the case docket as "the infringing L.A. GUNS") was creating "unfair competition" through its unauthorized usage of the L.A. GUNS trademark. In addition, Guns and Lewis were seeking relief from and/or against false advertising, breach of contract and unauthorized usage of their likenesses.
Fury presents their new single 'Rock Lives In My Soul' featuring Kim Jennett on guest vocals.
"With this song and video we wanted to highlight just how bad the issue of sexism in music really is," says Fury. "We reached out to female musicians, promoters and managers and asked them if they would share their experiences with us. The experiences they shared were both harrowing and numerous. Every example shown in the video is a direct quote from the testimonials they provided and is just a small snippet of the behaviour women face on a daily basis. Special thanks to all the women in music who spoke to us and let us put your experiences in this music video!"
"Rock Lives In My Soul" is now available on all digital platforms as well as on CD from the Fury webstore.

TIMES OF GRACE, featuring Adam Dutkiewicz and Jesse Leach of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, will release its second album "Songs Of Loss And Separation", on July 16 via the band's own imprint label, Wicked Good Records, distributed by ADA worldwide. The official music video for the song "Rescue" can be seen below.
Leach says: "This is a more uptempo and full-on positive song in comparison to the rest of this diverse, heartfelt, painful and deep album.
"I haven't been more excited for anything in my career. Like it, hate it, love it, it's truly a labor of deep love and catharsis. Proud of this song as it is truly a raw and honest song about finding new love.
"Love isn't always easy or simple, but if it is real, it is always worth the effort and dedication. This song is about finding a shelter from the storm, that light in the darkness and the will and strength to keep on moving forward."
TIMES OF GRACE's debut album, "The Hymn Of A Broken Man", arrived in 2011, nearly a decade after Leach's exit from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, the pivotal New Wave Of American Heavy Metal band the duo co-founded with friends in 1999. The first music from TIMES OF GRACE materialized during Dutkiewicz's arduous recovery from near-crippling back surgery. A collection of songs the multi-instrumentalist and producer knew would suit his once and future bandmate. The first album earned acclaim from BBC Music, The Aquarian and Rock Sound. It willfully upended expectations, with flourishes of shoegaze and ambiance in its songs.
Now, ten years after TIMES OF GRACE first surfaced comes the follow-up.
Comfortably stretched beyond the parameters of what came before, without sacrificing an ounce of integrity, TIMES OF GRACE weave between pensive, heavy, midtempo rock, riffs, and atmosphere.
"Songs Of Loss And Separation" benefits wildly from the powerhouse performance of ex-ENVY ON THE COAST drummer Dan Gluszak, who toured behind the first album and is now an official member of the band. A handful of years in the making, "Songs Of Loss And Separation" mixes stark confessions of struggle with narrative storytelling. The music is just as expansive, with Adam handling lead vocals on several songs and Jesse experimenting with a lower vocal range reminiscent of post-punk and goth.
"Making this album was a way to get out some twisted stuff that's been going on in our lives," explains Dutkiewicz, who once again handled all of the instrumentation and production. "The record is not very optimistic. If you're looking for that uplifting album to pull you out of something, this isn't it."
Leach concurs: "I love melancholic music. It tends to be therapeutic for a lot of people, myself included. It's odd and almost kind of spooky that we both had to go through a dark time to create another record. It's like this project can't form unless hardships are going on in our lives."
The pair's vocal interplay makes for a rich, dense, and enthralling concoction, powering through various trips through dark nights of the soul and mind-expanding excursions into the wild.
"Adam is in the driver's seat 100%," Leach clarifies. "But he values my opinion, so it makes for an excellent working relationship. I'm here to help when he needs me. He wrote stuff that was darker, slower; music that takes its time to unravel. The way he wrote allowed me to think differently. It started out as an unconscious thing and then something we talked about openly. 'Let's make sure that this record doesn't sound like KILLSWITCH and that it stands apart from the first TIMES OF GRACE album."
"The Burden Of Belief" is a darkly melodic slow burn. "Mend You" bends but never breaks. "Bleed Me", evoking the heartache of reaching out from across the ocean only to hit a voicemail greeting on the other end, conjures the pathos of grunge. A poetic flirtation with death, "Forever" (which concludes the proceedings) is a third-person story about a toxic relationship, hauntingly told from the abusive partner's perspective. "Medusa" will chill the bones of fans who are fond of metal's sludgy side, with psychedelic shades. "Rescue" offers one of only a few hints of redemption.
"There are some topics on this record that Jesse and I had never thought about doing before," Adam adds. "It felt weird to make but really good. 'Songs Of Loss And Separation'. That's what they are."
"When we made that first TIMES OF GRACE record, I was a wounded animal. I was suicidal," Jesse confesses. "I was in a not-so-great relationship. The unraveling of my marriage, finding the courage and confidence to love again, happened during this album process. Not just to love other people and find a new relationship, but to love me, which is a longtime struggle. I didn't realize how much of a battle it was until I got on the other side. I think that was a massive awakening for me. It was a process of probably the lowest I've ever gone mentally and then very quickly finding my wings."
Like the darkest work of ALICE IN CHAINS, TOOL or even THE CURE, the sprawling second album from TIMES OF GRACE channels a dissonant, menacing, and unrelenting depression. It's a diverse but singular statement, like "Disintegration" or "Dirt", without sounding specifically like any other band. Haunting romanticism and deep spiritual yearning collide in beautiful melancholy. "Songs Of Loss and Separation", drenched in insistent bluesiness, bleeds distortion, and emotion like a nerve exposed.
Fan-filmed video footage of QUEENSRŸCHE's July 3 performance at the M3 Rock Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "Tito Santana").
The M3 concert was QUEENSRŸCHE's first live appearance since the band's longtime guitarist Parker Lundgren exited the group to focus on "other business ventures."
As was the case with QUEENSRŸCHE's concert at the Chiefs Event Center at Shoshone-Bannock Casino in Fort Hall, Idaho in May, the M3 show saw second-guitar duties handled by Mike Stone, who joined QUEENSRŸCHE for the 2003 album "Tribe" and stayed with the band for six years.
Lundgren, a former member of original QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate's solo group who was also briefly married to Geoff's stepdaughter Miranda, announced his departure from QUEENSRŸCHE in a social media post on Friday (July 2).
The 34-year-old musician wrote: "For several years, I have been deeply immersed in collecting and selling guitars, as well as rare and fascinating musical instruments. This passion led to the opening of my guitar store Diablo Guitars in 2019. Since then, my business has grown and I recently acquired a storefront with a full-service repair shop. In 2020, my wife and I opened Lucky Devil Latte, which has quickly expanded to multiple locations. With these new endeavors and ensuing responsibilities, my time to devote to QUEENSRŸCHE has become increasingly strained, and I no longer am able to commit the time and focus it deserves. For these reasons, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as guitarist in QUEENSRŸCHE.
"I want to thank my friends, family, and fans for making the past 13 years an amazing journey. I wish nothing but the best for my fellow band members, crew and everyone who has supported us.
"I hope to have your continued support as I pursue new ventures."
The remaining members of QUEENSRŸCHE added in a separate statement: "For over a decade, it has been a great pleasure watching [Parker] evolve and flourish as a guitarist, songwriter, and most importantly, a wonderful human being. Parker will always be family to us and we wish him all the success in the world with his new endeavors. Take hold, brother!"
Lundgren, who joined QUEENSRŸCHE in 2009, previously sat out some of QUEENSRŸCHE's U.S. shows in September 2018 when the band was on tour as the support act for SCORPIONS.
Guitarist Michael Wilton and bassist Eddie Jackson are the sole remaining original members of QUEENSRŸCHE, which split with Tate in 2012 and replaced him with ex-CRIMSON GLORY frontman Todd La Torre.
QUEENSRŸCHE has released three albums thus far with La Torre — 2013's "Queensrÿche", 2015's "Condition Hüman" and 2019's "The Verdict".
In April 2014, Tate and QUEENSRŸCHE announced that a settlement had been reached after a nearly two-year legal battle where the singer sued over the rights to the QUEENSRŸCHE name. Original QUEENSRŸCHE members Wilton, Jackson and Scott Rockenfield (drums) responded with a countersuit. The settlement included an agreement that Wilton, Rockenfield and Jackson would continue as QUEENSRŸCHE, while Tate would have the sole right to perform the albums "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Operation: Mindcrime II" in their entirety live.
Rockenfield hasn't performed with QUEENSRŸCHE in more than four years. The band has used former KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo for touring purposes since April 2017.
The drum tracks on "The Verdict" were laid down by La Torre.
Guitarist Vinnie Moore, best known for his solo albums and work with rock icons UFO, has released a video for the song "Kung Fu Grip" from his latest album "Soul Shifter".
Says Vinnie: "This is one of my funkier and playful songs. Making this video was some of the most fun ever. Scott Johnson from Rock Titan TV filmed and put this video together for me. Our goal for this was to be as cheesy and funny as possible. I showed my absolute mastery of nun chucks, swords, and kicks in this vid. Hahaha."
The follow-up to Vinnie's critically acclaimed 2015 "Aerial Visions" album was released at the end of 2019 on his label Mind's Eye Music. Vinnie's ninth solo album features guest appearances by legendary artists Rudy Sarzo and Jordan Rudess, with Richie Monica on drums, Michael Bean (bassist from Vinnie's "Time Odyssey" album), Randy McStine on bass, John Cassidy (keyboards) and John Pessoni (drums).
Vinnie is considered one of the originators of shred guitar, and has released eight influential solo albums, and six albums and a live DVD as a member of rock royalty legends UFO. He's made countless album guest appearances, and has even recorded the soundtrack for a Pepsi TV commercial. He's been a member of Alice Cooper's band and was the opening act for RUSH on their "Roll The Bones" tour with his own band. His solo and UFO recordings as well as live performances have amassed rave reviews all around the globe from both fans and music press, catapulting him into guitar icon distinction. He has been an inspiration for fans and guitarists worldwide.

Progressive death metal band, Graveslave, has released their new single, “Spectral Procession”, along with the accompanying music video. Comprised of Ashton George (lead vox), Fernando Landaverde (guitar), Roman Non (guitar, vox), Josh Burke (bass), and Ben Plaguerness (drums), Graveslave’s new single takes listeners on a wild ride with heavily distorted lyrics and a hell magnetic attitude.
“Spectral Procession” was written by Ashton George, and produced by Roman Non and Joe Waller. The song is a teaser for the band’s upcoming album, No Center, which will be released on July 30th.
Speaking on the new single, lead vocalist Ashton George says, “When I wrote this song, I had this idea fresh in my mind from a stoner-y psychedelic podcast I was listening to. The topic of the podcast was surrounding the subject of ‘Where do ideas come from?’ [It] discuss[ed]… that ideas were never really ours, to begin with. I thought the concept was fun and applied it to demonic forces penetrating our reality through ritual and mind.”
Metal Injection has posted a performance video for Sepultura's "Desperate Cry", taken from Slay At Home Fest in support of Musicares / The Iggy Fund / NAMI / Cancer Research Institute.
The song is performed by:
Fernanda Lira - vocals (Crypta)
Mike Heller - drums (Fear Factory, Malignancy)
Ol Drake - guitar (Evile)
Liam Wilson - bass (Azusa, The Dillinger Escape Plan)
Since beginning the Slay At Home series one year ago as a personal mission to create an entertainment fundraiser to aid the music industry and charities, mastermind Frank Godla has helped raise over $200,000 in donations for various charities through the virtual concert platform. The finale aired on June 18 and 19 in support of four great causes; Musicares, The Iggy Fund, The Cancer Research Institute and National Alliance On Mental Illness.

Canadian epic symphonic metal band, Operus, has released a new official video, “The Mirror”, stemming of the band's latest album Score Of Nightmares, released through the German label Pride & Joy Music on June 19, 2020.
Filmed in Toronto, Canada, “The Mirror” showcases the most experimental side of Operus with deeply theatrical themes combined with an introspective speech that challenges oneself with a straight forward message: Sometimes our choices take us to places where we thought we wanted to be, but once there we can realize reality is a much different tale, "Are you comfortable with your choices, was it worth it?"
Score Of Nightmares is available through the band's official store, Amazon, Nuclear Blast, EMP, iTunes and more.
STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis has just released a new solo single, "Am I The Only One".
The outspoken conservative rocker, who reinvented himself as a solo country artist in the last decade, debuted the song in March at a solo concert in Texas — a state which removed all pandemic restrictions that same month.
"Am I The Only One" finds Aaron asking if he is the only one fed up with the state of the country right now, featuring such lyrics as: "Am I the only one, who can't take no more, screaming, 'If you don't like it there's the fucking door.' It's not the freedom we've been fightin' for
It was somethin' more, yeah, it was somethin' more.'
Apparently addressing the removal of Confederate statues, Lewis sings in the song: " I'm not the only one, willin' to fight for my love of the red and white and the blue, burnin' on the ground as a statue's comin' down in a town near you. Watchin' the threads of Old Glory come undone, I'm not the only one. I can't be the only one."
Lewis also criticizes Bruce Springsteen at the end of the track, singing: "Am I the only one who quits singin' along every time they play a Springsteen song."
Springsteen can best be described as Lewis's political polar opposite, having been a vocal opponent to former U.S. president Donald Trump on many occasions. Last August, Bruce went as far as to allow the use of his song "The Rising" in a video that aired during night one of the Democratic National Convention.
Lewis, who is widely considered to be one of the most politically conservative musicians in rock, told the Anchorage Press in a January 2020 interview that he considered the first Trump impeachment by the House Of Representatives as the clearest representation of what's wrong with America these days.
Lewis was a staunch critic of President Barack Obama, telling a crowd at one of his solo concerts in 2016: "Barack Obama should have been impeached a long fucking time ago. Every fucking decision he makes is against the Constitution, it's against what's good for our fucking country, and he is truly the worst fucking president that we have ever had in the history of this fucking country."
That same year, Lewis told Billboard that he would support Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential race, even though he was "disappointed" by the real estate mogul "with the bickering and the name-calling." Lewis added that he voted for Senator Ted Cruz, Trump's closest competitor in the Republican nomination race, in the Massachusetts primary.
Earlier this month, Lewis made headlines when he accused the U.S. Democratic Party of fighting against every major civil rights initiative and of having a long history of discrimination.
While pandemic restrictions impacted every aspect of heavy music, Los Angeles, California post-metal purveyors DAWN FADES refused to be shaken by the uncertainty of the return of live stage shows and tapped deeper into their well of talent to create their next and perhaps most impressive offering yet. "Ode", the band's new seven-song crusher, is slated for release September 10, 2021 on Metal Assault Records. The official music video for the LP's lead single, "Taste", can be seen below.
DAWN FADES frontman and songwriter Sam Sherwood states: "For this video, the constraints of the pandemic pushed us to try something different. We had for some time been fans of Chariot Of Black Moth's work so choosing him was a no brainer. I recorded some footage at home and he turned it into something that perfectly captures the tone of the song. Enjoy!"
In regard to the album as a whole, Sherwood describes "Ode" as "a picture of feelings about the trappings of the world we find ourselves in. I believe we are doing a thing that has its own life to it. There is darkness and screaming inner-torment and there are ear-worm hooks."
"Ode" is now available for pre-order on CD, limited-edition multi-colored LP, and digital download. Exclusive merch bundles including CD+shirt as well as LP+shirt bundles are also available during the pre-order campaign, wherein the shirt design is based on the album cover art. All digital and merch pre-orders come with a free instant download of "Taste".
Mixed by heavy music mainstay Josh Newell (INTRONAUT, ANTHRAX, LINKIN PARK), "Ode" retains the core elements of the band's highly successful self-titled debut yet reveals even greater musical evolution as DAWN FADES seamlessly captures the visceral magnetism of their live show experience on wax. More resolute in their vision and execution, "Ode" further proves DAWN FADES is simply unstoppable in their pursuit of post-metal mastery, quickly rising among the ranks of the genre's most elite.
"Ode" track listing:
01. Dearth (8:17)
02. Taste (5:11)
03. Ode: Part 1 (1:51)
04. Ode: Part 2 (5:56)
05. Front (6:57)
06. Chains (8:36)
07. Turning (3:23)
In a world where aggressive music often overheats and palatable music often feels packaged, DAWN FADES presents a satisfying alternative rife with emotional moments and unpredictable appeal, backed by sheer brute force.
Formed in August 2016 under the fluorescent bulbs of gritty L.A. rehearsal rooms, the band quickly amassed a collection of heavy, thoughtful material based on songs conceived by main songwriter Sherwood and realized with the input and experience of Adam El-Gerbi (guitar), Markus Erren Pardiñas (bass), Scott Quist (drums) and Nate Hertweck (guitar). Covering grounds from gorgeous to punishing, the Southern California-based five-piece finds poignant and personal places to explore in between these extremes. What has emerged prompts comparisons to DEFTONES, ISIS, FAILURE and something just out of reach, familiar yet fresh, crushing yet calculated.
DAWN FADES has since moved its operation to a warehouse in Burbank, where they've sharpened their songs and honed in their craft of producing unforgettable live sets. As a supporting act, DAWN FADES has shared the stage with SIXES, FUTURE USSES (featuring former members of INTRONAUT), GOLIATHAN, KING BUFFALO, and many more. From a haunting whisper to a pulverizing burst, the DAWN FADES live show offers a dynamic reminder of how far heavy music has come and presses onto the future of how far it can go.
The clip below features Cyhra guitarist Euge Valovirta's playthrough for "Heartrage", taken from the band's debut album, Letter To Myself, released in 2017. It is the live arangement for two guitars.
Valovirta has released the third single from his forthcoming second solo album, Shooting From The Hip, due out on June 30th. Check out "A Song For An Absent Friend" below.
Valovirta originally posted the track on line shortly after the news broke that Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho had passed away at the end of December along with the following message:
"This one is for Alexi, but also for all the late friends. And to my Grandpa, who passed away some time ago. This song actually got its start after my Grandpa’s passing and I came back to it after Alexi passed away ‘cos I felt that I had to 'play my feelings out' somehow.
Alexi and I weren’t the closest friends but every time we met we always had such a great time. Whether it was playing on each of other’s albums, doing guitar clinics or playing occasional live shows or just hanging out. He was one of the most caring, humble and nicest guys I’ve ever met and it feels so unfair that he isn’t with us anymore. And he was one of the best guitar players. Ever."
On July 2, German/American metallers ACCEPT played their first pandemic-era concert at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania as a warm-up for their appearance at the M3 Rock Festival the following day. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, guitarist Uwe Lulis — the only member of ACCEPT who doesn't reside in America — was unable to enter the U.S. and join his bandmates for the gig.

The setlist was as follows:

ACCEPT's latest album, "Too Mean To Die", came out in January via Nuclear Blast. The LP is the group's first without bassist Peter Baltes, who exited ACCEPT in November 2018. He has since been replaced by Martin Motnik. ACCEPT's lineup has also been expanded with the addition of a third guitarist, Philip Shouse, who originally filled in for Uwe Lulis during 2019's "Symphonic Terror" tour, before being asked to join the band permanently.
"Too Mean To Die" was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with British producer Andy Sneap (JUDAS PRIEST, MEGADETH), who has been responsible for the magnificent studio sound of ACCEPT since 2010.
ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann recently told France's Loud TV about the "Too Mean To Die" album title: "It's more or less our answer to the whole corona vibe in the land, in the world. Of course, it's not meant serious — we said, 'We're too mean to die. We can't be bothered by any little virus that's out there.' Of course, it's not meant to be totally serious. But it sounded like a metal album, it sounded like a metal title, and we liked it. So we decided to go that route and give the metal fans a fresh and in-your-face sort of statement and a metal album that doesn't really deal with anything corona-related. 'Cause I think people had enough of all the corona stuff by now. It's time to move on."
Regarding ACCEPT's decision to release "Too Mean To Die" during the COVID-19 pandemic, Wolf said: "It's gonna be a while until we can do a proper headlining tour. But we decided to go ahead and release it, because maybe fans will enjoy it now that they're in lockdown, and maybe it's gonna take their mind off everything. And it's better than waiting until who knows when — until we can tour again. So let's have the album out now. Fans can enjoy it and listen to it, and then one day we'll be on tour and we'll meet each other again."

In celebration of 35 years of WARLOCK's "Triumph And Agony" album, Doro Pesch will release "Triumph And Agony Live" in various formats, including CD, vinyl, cassette, DVD, Blu-ray, and a huge box set, on September 24 through Doro's own label, Rare Diamonds Productions.
The "Triumph And Agony" artwork centers on Geoffrey Gillespie's famous original drawing of the "Warlock" embracing the blonde rock star.
Doro says: "The cover and the whole artwork including booklet and inlay are a combination of live shots and the amazing iconic Warlock paintings of my favorite artist, Geoffrey Gillespie, who did all the classic DORO / WARLOCK artworks. It worked out great. I am so happy with it."
Regarding "Triumph And Agony Live", Doro says: "It's one of my favorite records we've ever done! It includes some of our big classic anthems like 'All We Are', 'Für Immer' and 'I Rule The Ruins' as well as fan favorites like 'Metal Tango', 'Three Minute Warning', 'Kiss Of Death' and 'East Meets West', not to forget headbanging album opener 'Touch Of Evil'. I'm super excited to let the fans hear and see it!
"It was always my dream to play the 'Triumph And Agony' album in its entirety live," she adds. "The order of the tracks is different from the original album, but we're playing all ten songs in new, powerful versions. The first time we did it was at Sweden Rock followed by a big tour in the USA and Spain, and more large festival shows like Graspop and Norway Rock. It was fantastic. There was a killer atmosphere!"

Prior to an appearance at the 2017 Sweden Rock Festival, Doro stated about why that was the right time to go out and play the "Triumph And Agony" songs again: "Well, because we have our 30th anniversary of this big record. It was called 'Triumph And Agony', and it was the biggest record. I think it was one of the best records. And I thought, 'Man, we have to play one time the whole album in its entirety,' and we never did before. And then I called my old guitar player, Tommy Bolan, and he played on the whole record, he played all the solos. And I asked him if he was into that idea, doing a couple of shows with just the 'Triumph And Agony' album and then some encores. And he said, 'Oh, let's do it. I'm ready.' And then we were rehearsing all, yeah, the last week, and I think it sounds really good. We are playing some songs we've never played before, but I think they will sound really amazing. And I'm very excited."
In a 2000 interview with Metal Rules, Doro stated about WARLOCK: "I loved that so much and my heart and soul was so much into it. I was totally devastated when it broke up and it broke up not because of the band but because of all the bullshit around it. It was the record companies, the management, everything. The band had no control anymore — everybody else had, and the band did not. It was really tough and there were a lot of problems and I was totally heartbroken about it. But those times were awesome, man, it was awesome! I will always treasure them. I love to think about the great times."
Doro told Get Ready To Rock! that "everything fell into place" for WARLOCK after "Triumph And Agony" was released. "The record company was totally behind it, MTV put our song 'All We Are' on heavy rotation, which was a big plus, I must say, the fans were there and metal was at its peak between 1987 and 1988. Sometimes you do wish for everything to fall into place, but it's very rare that this happens as things need to work like a watch."
Doro is currently working on material for a new studio album, tentatively due in 2022. The LP will be the follow-up to "Forever Warriors, Forever United", which came out in 2018. The double album featured 19 regular tracks and six bonus songs.

Aggressive yet euphoric, empowering yet simultaneously enslaving, The Five Hundred are renowned for overcoming adversities and laying siege to every stage they play. Their debut album Bleed Red told the story of a band struggling with Tourette’s, OCD, and drug addiction. It's now the band’s time to share with the world how they’ve battled through their vices and come out on top. After successful tours up and down the country, Eastern Europe / Russia, and an appearance at the iconic Download festival in 2019, the quintet are back and angrier than ever with their follow-up album.
