ELEGY OF MADNESS Release “Hybrid Love” Video

Elegy Of Madness will release the new album, XI, on October 20 through Scarlet Records. A visualizer for the third single, "Hybrid Love", is streaming below:

Modern, occult, epic symphonic metal at its best: XI represents a splendid rebirth for Elegy Of Madness, thanks to a redefined sound, a more concise songwriting and the enchanting soprano vocals of new frontwoman Kyrah Aylin.

Conceived in the post-pandemic time, the mood of XI tends towards obscure and melancholic atmospheres; the main topic revolves around the symbolic meaning of the number eleven. Each song actually involves some aspects of it, such as spiritual awakening and growth, strength, intuition, new beginning, disorder and chaos, and the sinful nature of man.

A sun ray can always break through the darker clouds: it's time to rise again from your own ashes.

Recorded and produced by Simone Mularoni and Simone Bertozzi; mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio; beautifully illustrated by Diogo Soares/Gargantula Creations (Witchcraft, EyeHateGod, Stoned Jesus); 'XI' will be released in the following formats:

- digipack CD
- digital

THE HU Share Animated Music Video For "Sell The World"

Globally lauded Mongolian rock sensation and UNESCO 2023 “Artist Of Peace” designees, The HU, have shared their first-ever animated music video for the deeply moving, environmentally conscious song, “Sell The World”. It is featured on their sophomore 2022 album Rumble Of Thunder and its deluxe version, released earlier this year via Better Noise Music.

The compelling animated video depicts environmental villains taking nature’s limited resources for granted and ruining the planet for generations to come. Watch below.

“The ‘Sell The World’ music video is the first-ever animated music video from The HU,” shares THE HU’s producer Dashka. “It’s our way of expressing the love we have for our earth. From the name of the song to the content of the video, we use sarcasm and exaggeration to show the unpleasantness of the world. It was easier to use the graphics and 3Ds to create visuals for the exaggerated message that the song has in its lyrics. Throughout past albums, The HU’s songs positively reinforce the message of protecting the earth and keeping nature intact. However, on this video we took a completely different, polar opposite approach to the song’s message by reminding listeners of the limited resources of this earth. The female in the video represents the mother earth we are singing about.”

In coordination with the “Sell The World” video debut, The HU have today announced the support acts - Finnish nu-metal group Blind Channel and California-based rockers Nerv - for their upcoming headlining US “Warrior Souls” West Coast tour. The “Warrior Souls” tour kicks off on October 9 in San Francisco, CA and wraps October 26 in Phoenix, AZ.

FLY TO THE SUN To Release Inaugural Album Featuring Members Of JETHRO TULL, KANSAS, JEFF BECK, MR. BIG, RINGO STARR’S ALL-STARS, And More; "Soaring With Angels" Video Streaming

This new eclectic album project by innovative band, Fly To The Sun, crosses over into several musical genres, including prog rock, progressive pop, art rock, R&B, and more.

Featuring Ray (Vocals, flute - Universe Records), Jennifer Batten (Guitar - Jeff Beck, Michael Jackson), Billy Sheehan (Bass - David Lee Roth, Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs), Andrew Giddings (Keyboards - Jethro Tull, The Animals), Gregg Bissonette (Drums - Ringo Starr, ELO, David Lee Roth), Joe Deninzon (Violin - Kansas), JJ Sansaverino (Guitar - #1 Billboard) and other very notable musicians.

The outstanding production work by Andrew Giddings (16-year keyboardist/producer with Jethro Tull) has brought a wealth of expertise, arrangement experience, and keyboard excellence into the project. Carol Roehner is lead producer on the project, and her music capabilities, organizational skills, and intellect have been the foundation of the project.  Working on the project with assistance from producer/composer/musician Alex Grata, Ray as executive producer decided to create songs that are unique and appealing to a wide range of musical tastes.  The songs have an upbeat musical structure and positive lyrical content.

Ray has always been a staunch follower of progressive rock music icons like Jethro Tull, Yes, Pink Floyd, Queen, and other rock legends that pushed the envelope into uncharted musical territory and had a huge impact on his life.  Assembling this band of world class musicians to join him, Ray decided to produce music that will have a positive impact on listeners, hoping to help them feel good at a time in history when “feel good” songs are sorely needed.

Ray said, “The line by 70’s band Ten Years After, ‘I’d love to change the world, but I don’t know what to do,’ has always resonated with me. I would love nothing more than to produce music that genuinely makes people feel happy about their life, and going forward, that’s what I endeavor to do in this new body of work.”

Fly To The Sun has released the first single from their upcoming album. Watch the video for “Soaring With Angels” below.

The Fly To The Sun album will be released via the Universe Records label on October 27. Purchase via Apple Music, and/or Amazon Music.

FALCK - Former OVERKILL Drummer SID FALCK Releases New Single ""Behind The Mask"" Feat. JERRY WOOLVERTON And CHUCK LEIJA; Video

Sid Falck has released a new song, "Behind The Mask", Featuring Jerry Woolverton (Breeding Thorns, Outlaw Devils) and Chuck Leija, under the Falck name.

Says Sid Falck: “When it comes to the Special Forces, we will rarely know the names, of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, for the good of the rest. I’m sure that holds true, outside of the US as well.

For reasons of safety, a lot of missions have to be kept anonymous, and it doesn’t really matter if their service was in the military or in the civil branches. And knowing that, it hit me, that yes, they would never have their name published on the public rolls, but even more, those they left behind, would never get to honor their loved ones sacrifice, in public. That was the inspiration for 'Behind The Mask'.

I had a really hard time getting my lyrics together, so having become very comfortable with Jerry Woolverton as a great lyricist in his own right, I asked him to write the lyrics and do the vocals. Chuck Leija has approached me on social media a couple of times, making it clear, that he would love to get a chance to add his talents to something of mine, so I saw this song as a great way for him, to get a chance to showcase his skills to a different audience. And as is evident, he did a great job."

"Behind The Mask" can be downloaded here for “set your own price”, making it a free download, should you so choose. "Behind The Mask" is / will also be available on all streaming and digital platforms.

The fall leg of the "Rhapsody" tour will end on November 12 at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

This past March, May spoke to SiriusXM's Classic Rewind about the evolution of QUEEN's live performance since he and Taylor first shared the stage together with Lambert more than a decade ago. He said: "I think our chemistry is better than it ever was. I mean, Roger and I go back hundreds of years, as you probably know. But with Adam, I mean, it was good from the beginning, but it's now amazing. We now have a real empathy on stage, a real kind of understanding. There's a connection. And you probably know, we don't have any clicks or backing tracks or anything, so we're completely free and we can feel what each other wants to do. So every night, it'll go a slightly different way. And I love that — the danger of that is brilliant. And we all feel more confident, I think. And I think as you get older, you get more forgiving of yourself. You don't regard things as mistakes. You regard everything as an opportunity. You get more forgiving of your younger self as well. You think, 'Okay, I was only young.' But it's a different feeling.

"I just think it's a privilege to be out there and to be able to do that and to get that incredible response from the audience," Brian added. "The QUEEN thing has been something amazing for all of us, and it's a real privilege to have that."

After SiriusXM's Mark Goodman noted that QUEEN managed to not only continue after the passing of Mercury, who died in 1991 of complications from to AIDS, but thrive following the arrival of Lambert, the guitarist said: "It's amazing that we didn't look for him. I always think that. We didn't advertise; we didn't audition. He just turned up out of the blue, out of heaven, and he had everything that we needed, plus more. And it is truly incredible."

Lambert, May and Taylor first shared the stage during "American Idol" in May 2009 for a performance of "We Are The Champions". They teamed up again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland for an electrifying eight-minute finale of "The Show Must Go On", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" and in the summer of 2012, Lambert performed a series of shows with QUEEN across Europe as well as dates in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. They have since completed a number of tours and performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world.

In May 2019, Lambert said that he wasn't convinced it was the right move for him to record new music with QUEEN. Speaking to Hunger, he said: "People always ask if we want to record together, and I'm not sure it makes total sense, because it wouldn't really be QUEEN, because, to me, QUEEN is Freddie. My favorite thing is collaborating and putting these concerts together and creating on stage — it's super fulfilling and exciting. To present these ideas to these two gentlemen — especially when they like the idea."

May previously described Lambert as the only singer the band had found capable of filling Mercury's shoes. "Adam is the first person we've encountered who can do all the QUEEN catalog without blinking," said May. "He is a gift from God." Taylor echoed the guitarist's sentiments, adding: "[Adam's] incredibly musical, and we certainly take anything he says quite seriously."

Lambert, for his part, downplayed the Mercury comparisons, saying: "There's never going to be another, and I'm not replacing him. That's not what I'm doing. I'm trying to keep the memory alive, and remind people how amazing he was, without imitating him. I'm trying to share with the audience how much he inspired me."

In 2004, QUEEN recruited BAD COMPANY singer Paul Rodgers, with whom they completed two world tours and released an album, "The Cosmos Rocks", in 2008. They amicably parted ways a year later when Rodgers returned to BAD COMPANY. Since 2011, QUEEN has been fronted by Lambert.

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT To Release '50th Anniversary Live - First Night' In December

Frontiers Music Srl will release BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's "50th Anniversary Live - First Night" on December 8, 2023. The first single and video from the album, "I'm On The Lamb But I Ain't No Sheep (Live)" are out today.

The legendary American hard rock band BLUE ÖYSTER CULT celebrated its 50th anniversary with a very special set of three sold-out shows in a row in September 2022 at Sony Hall in New York City. For this historic career milestone, each show featured the band playing in its entirety one of their first three albums ("Blue Öyster Cult", "Tyranny And Mutation" and "Secret Treaties"),followed by a set of deep cuts and classics from their other albums. Founding member Albert Bouchard was a special guest on all three nights. The band played for nearly three hours and delivered an amazing set performing the self-titled debut album front to back and the second set also included some fans' favorite and deep cuts along with some of their best-known songs. BLUE ÖYSTER CULT were truly on fire.

The Frontiers label will release each night as a special individual package.

For over five decades, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT has been thrilling fans of intelligent hard rock worldwide with powerful albums loaded with classic songs. Indeed, the Long Island, New York-based band is revered within the hard rock and heavy metal scene for its pioneering work. They occupy a unique place in rock history, because it's one of very few hard rock/heavy metal bands to earn both genuine mainstream critical acclaim and commercial success.

The band is often cited as a major influence by other acts such as METALLICA, and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT was listed in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

Upon the release of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's self-titled debut album in 1972, the band was praised for its catchy-yet-heavy music and lyrics that could be provocative, terrifying, funny or ambiguous, often all in the same song. BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's canon includes three stone-cold classic songs that will waft through the cosmos long after the sun has burned out: The truly haunting "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from 1976's "Agents Of Fortune", the pummeling "Godzilla" from 1977's "Spectres" and the hypnotically melodic "Burnin' For You" from 1981's "Fire Of Unknown Origin". Other notable BLUE ÖYSTER CULT songs include "Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll", "Then Came The Last Days Of May", "I Love The Night", "In Thee", "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars", "Dominance And Submission", "Astronomy", "Black Blade" and "Shooting Shark".

The intense creative vision of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's original core duo of vocalist/lead guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom is complemented by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, and the longtime rhythm section of bass guitarist Danny Miranda and drummer Jules Radino.

"We realized we're a ‘classic rock' band. That's what we are, that's what we do best, and that's what we know," declares the band.

They're proud of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's classic sound, and pleased the band is creating vibrant work for disenfranchised music lovers who don't like the homogenized, prefabricated pop or sound-alike, formulaic rap-metal that monopolizes the radio airwaves and best-seller charts.

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT has always maintained a relentless touring schedule and an album of new material, "The Symbol Remains", was released in October 2020 to rave reviews.

UNPROCESSED Share Music Video For New Single "Blackbone"

Boundary-pushing German progressive metal quartet, Unprocessed, have dropped the second single off their upcoming studio album. The new song, “Blackbone”, is out today and accompanied by a music video.

The band’s third full-length LP, ...and everything in between, will see an independent release on December 1. Last month, Unprocessed turned the internet on its head with the record’s lead off single, “Thrash”. The track has been lighting up the metal reaction community on YouTube with its bold and uncompromising marriage of the styles and textures that have made Unprocessed a standout among fans of daring, highly technical guitar work.

Commenting on “Blackbone”, Unprocessed shares: “‘Blackbone’ is a modern metal hymn with signature Unprocessed riffs, a big chorus, a brutal breakdown, and one of Manuel’s epic guitar solos. The song is about the inter dialogue one has with their inner child that’s forever present. It speaks of the longing to be brought back to the times of being carefree and just living the day, as well as the anger that comes with the dawning realization that those times will unlikely ever return.”

Inspired by the emotions conjured from their own personal experiences, Unprocessed have channeled raw visceral power through their musical talent to create their new album, ...and everything in between. Never before could one have considered a band being likened to artists as extreme as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Polyphia, and Bring Me The Horizon, yet Unprocessed have done it. This is futuristic thrash metal.

On ...and everything in between, the band are "taking all influences and combining them into an ultimate evolution of everything Unprocessed has ever been, while still adding a new flavour and style to the mix. Epic riffs with intricate licks and mind-bending rhythms, brutal breakdowns, epic guitar solos and big and catchy choruses.

“Thrash” is the first single taken from the upcoming album, '... and everything in between' a bold and complex record pushing the boundaries of technical musicianship, song construction, sonic production and more. Inspired by the emotions conjured from life experiences, Unprocessed have channelled their raw visceral power through their musical talent to create this special record. Never before could one have considered a band being likened to artists as extreme as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Polyphia and Bring Me The Horizon, yet Unprocessed have done it. This is Futuristic Thrash Metal.

"...and everything in between can quite literally be described as everything in between the extremes of life. Dealing with anger, sorrow, nostalgia, love and fear the album reflects on the different shades of a personality that everyone is made out of (e.g. there is evil in everyone)."

Pre-order here.

THE MODERN AGE SLAVERY Debut "The Hip" Music Video

Italy’s blackened deathcore outfit, The Modern Age Slavery, released their fourth studio album, 1901 | The First Mother, earlier this year via Fireflash Records. Today, the band release a new music video for "The Hip”, the new single taken from the album.

The video is a mix of live footage from shows in 2023, held by the band to promote the new album and from their performance at the Hills Of Rock Festival in Bulgaria in 2022.

Frontman Giovanni Berselli comments: ""The Hip", freely inspired from a Poem by Federico Taccini, talks about The Hipster culture - also recalling another TMAS song, 'Icon Of ADead World'. "The Hip" kinda underlines ‘the need’ to survive difficult times and to experience different cultures to truly appreciate ‘the place we call home’. The video though, is a collection of live shots. Indeed, the live action is the dimension we prefer, as it provide us the opportunity to fully vent our anger and to express our message in the best way possible, truly allowing us to touch our people! The Modern Age Slavery is a band that 'lives live’, I’ll never get tired of stating that!

HEAVY LOAD – “Ride The Night” Music Video Streaming

40 years have passed since Heavy Load released their album Stronger Than Evil (1983). Now, at last, on October 6, Heavy Load will release their comeback album titled: Riders Of The Ancient Storm. New music video for opening track "Ride The Night" is streaming below.

Heavy Load’s comeback album reflects their well-known sound and songwriting. Still, many songs echo these pioneers’ famous Viking themes and existential lyrics. The compositions are dramatic and render a great variety of moods. At the same time, passionate innovation and creative fervor shine bright in every song on the album.

From 1979 and onwards, Heavy Load was a four-piece band. Besides the founding Wahlquist brothers, the band members were Torbjörn Ragnesjö and Eddy Malm. Torbjörn Ragnesjö is still the bass player, and Eddy Malm is an occasional special guest and joins the band on a few songs at certain concerts.

Niclas Sunnerberg is on rhythm guitar a fan since childhood. For the reunion concerts in 2018, the former Steelwing member Niclas Sunnerberg joined Heavy Load on rhythm guitar. Niclas grew up as a huge Heavy Load fan and played Heavy Load covers with several bands.

In Niclas’ own words:

“The song that opened my eyes for Heavy Load was ‘Run With The Devil’ (Stronger Than Evil, 1983). I came to love Heavy Load. […] When I found out that Heavy Load was going to play at Sweden Rock Festival [2018], I bought my ticket the very moment they were released. […] Sometime later, I was stunned by the fact that the Wahlquist brothers asked me to join the band. I ended up on the stage in front of this enormous audience myself. Yes, life can really have the most unexpected things in store for you!”

Thanks to an epic pact between the band and No Remorse Records, high-quality re-releases of the band’s whole back catalogue are being released. The first one was released in 2018, the second one in 2019, and more will follow. These releases come with bonus tracks, old recordings, never before heard by the public, and extensive booklets. 1981’s Metal Conquest will be re-released in 2024 with four bonus tracks and 1978’s Full Speed At High Level is planned with the date still be decided.

CARNATION To Release Cursed Mortality Album In November; "Cycle Of Suffering" Music Video Posted

Belgian death metal stalwarts, Carnation, will release their new album, Cursed Mortality, on November 3 via Season Of Mist. A video for the new single, "Cycle Of Suffering", can be viewed below.

For the last decade, Carnation have been leading the revival of old-school death metal. They’ve brought back spirit-crushing riffs and trampling blast beats with some of the new wave’s most menacing growls.

While the Belgian band have always upheld the genre’s time-honoured traditions, they never sound dated, either, Cursed Mortality pushes them into deeper, darker, more experimental waters. The title track wades into ominous synth tones and even clean vocals.

This album isn’t simply a revival. It’s a bold step into future.

Pre-save the album here, pre-order here.
