AEROSMITH Announces Retirement From Touring, Citing STEVEN TYLER's Vocal Cord InjuryLegendary rockers AEROSMITH have announced their retirement from touring.
The band kicked off its "Peace Out" farewell tour last September, but postponed most of the dates after 76-year-old singer Steven Tyler suffered a vocal cord injury during a show.
Earlier today (Friday, August 2),AEROSMITH released the following statement via social media: "It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration became AEROSMITH. Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and all of you are the reason we made rock 'n' roll history. It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives.
"We've always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven's voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We've seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage.
"We are grateful beyond words for everyone who was pumped to get on the road with us one last time. Grateful to our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who’ve made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you — the best fans on planet Earth. Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true."
Tickets for remaining dates of the "Peace Out" tour will be refunded through Ticketmaster. If fans purchased tickets through a third-party reseller like StubHub or SeatGeek, refunds will be available through that point of purchase.
The "Peace Out" tour came to a halt after what turned out to be a final gig in Elmont, New York on September 9, 2023. That show came just three dates into the tour, which was supposed to last through February 2024.
The rescheduled "Peace Out" tour was due to begin September 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with special guests THE BLACK CROWES.
Since AEROSMITH's founding 54 years ago, the group has gone on to sell more than 150 million albums around the world; produced genre-defining music videos such as "Amazing", "Crazy", "Janie's Got A Gun", "Livin' On The Edge" and "Love In An Elevator"; launched extravagant record-shattering global tours, most recently with their smash hit Las Vegas residency. The band has broken numerous boundaries, including becoming the first rock band with a massive commercially successful hip-hop collaboration with RUN DMC on "Walk This Way" and the first hard rock band to appear during a Super Bowl Halftime Show with their 2001 performance, and in 1999, AEROSMITH became the first band to have their own themed attraction at Disney World in Florida, and later Paris with the launch of the Rock 'N' Roller coaster starring AEROSMITH.
With broad cultural influence, AEROSMITH has prominently appeared in films, television shows and video games, as well as influencing multiple generations of rock bands, both as style icons and acclaimed multi-instrumentalists. MusiCares honored the band in 2020 as Person Of The Year for their many artistic achievements and dedication to philanthropy, including Steven Tyler's initiative Janie's Fund initiative, which supports young women who've suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect.
Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2001, AEROSMITH is tied for the most RIAA album certifications by an American group with 25 gold, 18 platinum, 12 multi-platinum and one diamond. As the band was founded in Boston in 1970, April 13, 1993 was declared "Aerosmith Day" in Massachusetts by then-governor William Weld.

SHINEDOWN Sets Chart Record Across Multiple FormatsSHINEDOWN, the multi-platinum rock band known for its powerful performances and chart-topping hits, has achieved another remarkable milestone. The band's single "A Symptom Of Being Human" is now the first song by a band or solo artist to chart in the top 10 on three major Mediabase charts: Active Rock, Alternative, and Adult Contemporary (AC). This unprecedented chart achievement underscores SHINEDOWN's versatility and broad appeal across multiple music genres.
In addition to holding Mediabase chart history with the most No. 1s, Top 5s and Top 10s in the Active Rock category, SHINEDOWN has achieved a record-breaking 23 chart-topping songs.
"Radio has been the heartbeat of our band, and we owe an immense debt of gratitude to the stations that have championed us," said Brent Smith, lead vocalist of SHINEDOWN. Smith went on to add, "This milestone is a testament to the unwavering support from our fans and their beloved radio stations, which have been pivotal in our journey and growth since day one."
Philippe Generali, president and CEO of Mediabase, said: "Mediabase would like to congratulate SHINEDOWN, Atlantic-Elektra and the In De Goot Management team on this accomplishment for 'A Symptom Of Being Human'. To be able to go top 10 at these three formats, as well as having successful runs at Top 40 and Hot AC is very rare for a rock song."
It's rare for a rock band to break into pop music, but SHINEDOWN has always believed that music is universal and doesn't have to be put in a genre box. "A Symptom Of Being Human" is resonating with listeners worldwide because of its uplifting and important message about how we are all a work in progress. Collectively, "A Symptom Of Being Human" has amassed tens of millions of streams across all versions including a live version, pop remix, acoustic version and piano version.
"A Symptom Of Being Human" is the fourth No. 1 Active Rock single from SHINEDOWN's acclaimed seventh studio album, "Planet Zero". The set debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart in July 2022.

THE DEAD DAISIES Release 'I'm Gonna Ride' Single From Upcoming 'Light 'Em Up' AlbumTHE DEAD DAISIES have released "I'm Gonna Ride", the second single from their upcoming album, "Light 'Em Up". The full-length disc will follow on September 6 via Germany's SPV and Japan's Ward Records.
"I'm Gonna Ride" was helmed by producer and songwriter-for-hire Marti Frederiksen, who has previously collaborated with AEROSMITH, DEF LEPPARD, Jonny Lang and Sheryl Crow, among many others.
THE DEAD DAISIES frontman John Corabi states: "'I'm Gonna Ride' is a song about leaving your worries and everyday stresses behind, getting on your Harley and cranking it up. It's an anthem of the open roads and our next single from the 'Light 'Em Up' album. See you on our U.K. tour in September!! Love you, guys."
THE DEAD DAISIES recently lit up the US on the first leg of the "Light 'Em Up" tour to rave reviews from both fans and media alike.
Produced by Frederiksen in Nashville, the "Light 'Em Up" album consists of in-your-face rock tiunes packed with huge hooks, Doug Aldrich's giant intense guitar riffs and John's distinctive vocals that will leave no audience in their seats when played live.
THE DEAD DAISIES' most ambitious and biggest U.K. tour to date will launch on Friday, September 6, with special guests THE TREATMENT and THE BITES. The band will then embark on a run of mainland Europe, kicking off on Friday, November 1 with the final show of the year in Frankfurt, Germany. Special guests for these shows are BEASTO BLANCO and Mike Tramp (performing the songs of WHITE LION).
In March, THE DEAD DAISIES announced the return of drummer Tommy Clufetos (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK SABBATH).
Twelve years ago, THE DEAD DAISIES burst on to the music scene with a mission to gather some of the finest musicians in the world and simply put, play some good old-fashioned, no-bullshit rock and roll. After more than a decade of recording and touring the planet, there have been some incredible one-offs and special highlights including sharing stages with some of the world's biggest rock bands. To mark this milestone, a collection of songs from six of the band's previous studio albums have been chosen. The "Best Of" album, which was made available in August 2023, includes some of the collective's favorite tracks and others that have become a staple part of every DAISIES touring setlist. Two previously unreleased tracks from the last recording session are also included.
A year ago, it was announced that Corabi, former lead singer of MÖTLEY CRÜE, THE SCREAM and UNION, had officially rejoined THE DEAD DAISIES.
Corabi joined THE DEAD DAISIES in early 2015 and remained in the group until January 2019, during which time he recorded three studio albums with the band: "Revolución" (2015),"Make Some Noise" (2016) and "Burn It Down" (2018). In the summer of 2019, THE DEAD DAISES announced that they were being joined by legendary DEEP PURPLE bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes, who appeared on the band's last two studio albums, 2021's "Holy Ground" and 2022's "Radiance".
In August 2023, Corabi told Metal Talk about how he came to rejoin THE DEAD DAISIES: "We talked through the whole time that they had Glenn in the band. At one point, they were getting ready to tour with Glenn, and he was sick. I don't know if he had COVID or what his deal was, but he wasn't feeling well. I went up to New York for a week with the guys, and I helped them. I sang with them to help them prepare for their tour with Glenn, just to get their music together."
John went on to say that it was April or May of 2023 that Lowy visited him in Nashville. "He basically told me that Glenn was going back to do his DEEP PURPLE thing and BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION," John said. "He asked me if I was rested and said, 'We'd love to have you come back and keep this train moving.' So I said, 'All right. All good.'"

RILEY'S L.A. GUNS Releases Acoustic Version Of 'The Ballad Of Jayne'RILEY'S L.A. GUNS has released an acoustic version of the L.A. GUNS song "The Ballad Of Jayne" via Golden Robot Records. This reimagined version offers fans a fresh, stripped-down take on one of L.A. GUNS' most beloved songs, showcasing RILEY'S L.A. GUNS' musical versatility and emotional depth.
In celebration of this release, RILEY'S L.A. GUNS is also launching an exclusive seven-inch vinyl edition of the acoustic single. Available on August 16, this special vinyl release can only be purchased as part of a bundle, making it a must-have collector's item for dedicated fans and vinyl enthusiasts alike.
To add to the excitement, anyone who pre-saves the acoustic single will receive an exclusive link to listen to the new track 48 hours before its official release. This early access is a special "thank you" to the band's loyal supporters and offers a unique opportunity to experience the song ahead of the general public.
RILEY'S L.A. GUNS played its first concert without founding drummer Steve Riley on January 20 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. RILEY'S L.A. GUNS' performance was booked prior to Steve's tragic death last October.
Seven months ago, RILEY'S L.A. GUNS released its sophomore album, "The Dark Horse", via Golden Robot Records. The effort arrived more than two months after the death of Riley who would have celebrated his 68th birthday on January 22, the day of "The Dark Horse"'s release.
In addition to Riley, RILEY'S L.A. GUNS' most recent lineup featured Orlando, Florida-based guitarist/vocalist Kurt Frohlich, bassist Kelly Nickels (a member of L.A. GUNS' "classic" incarnation) and guitarist Scott Griffin, who played bass for L.A. GUNS from 2007 until 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2014.
In September 2023, RILEY'S L.A. GUNS released "The Dark Horse" title track via Golden Robot Records. The track came seven months after RILEY'S L.A. GUNS issued another new song, "Rewind", digitally via Golden Robot. In October 2022, RILEY'S L.A. GUNS released a single called "Overdrive".
Riley died on October 24, 2023 at the age of 67. Prior to his passing, Steve had been battling a severe case of pneumonia for several weeks. His wife Mary Louise and son Cole were by his side in his final moments.
Riley was the drummer for W.A.S.P. on the band's second and third albums — 1985's "The Last Command" and 1986's "Inside The Electric Circus" — and world tours from 1984 to 1987. After leaving W.A.S.P., Riley joined L.A. GUNS and played on that group's most commercially successful LPs.
In 2016, singer Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns reunited in a new version of L.A. GUNS that didn't include Riley. Steve later launched his own version of L.A. GUNS, which played its debut concert at the M3 Rock Festival in Maryland in May 2019.
In April 2021, an out-of-court resolution was reached between Riley and Guns and Lewis over the rights to the band's name. Under the terms of the settlement agreement, Tracii and Phil continued to operate under the L.A. GUNS trademark, while Riley and his bandmates from the other version of L.A. GUNS carried on under the new name RILEY'S L.A. GUNS.
In January 2020, Riley was sued by Lewis and Guns in California District Court. Joining Riley as defendants in the case were the three musicians who performed in his rival version of L.A. GUNS; that group's manager, booking agent and merchandiser; and Golden Robot Records. The complaint, which requested a trial by jury, alleged that Riley's version of L.A. GUNS (referred to in the case docket as "the infringing L.A. GUNS") was creating "unfair competition" through its unauthorized usage of the L.A. GUNS trademark. In addition, Guns and Lewis were seeking relief from and/or against false advertising, breach of contract and unauthorized usage of their likenesses.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT Announces 'Greetings From Suffocate City' Album, Releases 'Blood Mother' SingleEmo rock outfit THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT will release its second full-length album, "Greetings From Suffocate City", on September 13 via Better Noise Music. The LP's story arc is told across its 14 tracks which blends religious and violent imagery. It's a thrilling and evocative mix of the holy and unholy, the sacred and sacrilege. Guest appearances include Bert McCracken of THE USED, Spencer Charnas of ICE NINE KILLS, Danny Worsnop of ASKING ALEXANDRIA, and EVA UNDER FIRE.
"This album is a statement," says THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT vocalist Lee Jennings. "Its title reflects our conviction, respect, and, most importantly, devotion to its message.
"This record talks of love and loss. That the people we love, the passions we dedicate ourselves to, the culture we are surrounded by, and the society we partake in, will all inevitably hurt us. Yet through the pain and struggle of it all," he adds, "we still choose to love, unabashedly, even when it kills us. It is a warning of the challenges life will present us all with and a universal truth that suffering is inherent in all joy."
THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT has just released a new industrial-tinged track, "Blood Mother", from "Greetings From Suffocate City". Jennings says, "This southern-fried riff machine brings a low, pulsing energy to the record. It harks on modern medication and the fear of risking losing your personality and sense of self once prescribed." The music video for "Blood Mother" can be seen below.
"Blood Mother"'s release coincides with the start of THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT's U.S. tour supporting FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, MARILYN MANSON and SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The tour will stretch until September 19, ending in Houston, Texas. Next, the band head to Louisville, Kentucky for Louder Than Life (September 28),followed by Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California (October 12). It consists of a free in-store performance at Rock Of Ages from 5 to 7 p.m, followed by a private ghost hunt with the band at Eloise Asylum in Westland, Michigan starting at 8 p.m. It is limited to 30 spots.

See MARILYN MANSON's Music Video For His New Single 'As Sick As The Secrets Within'Marilyn Manson has released the official Bill Yukich-directed music video for his new single, "As Sick As The Secrets Within". The track, which was recorded and co-produced with collaborator Tyler Bates, marks the shock-rocker's first release via his new deal with Nuclear Blast Records.
"'As Sick As The Secrets Within' is a personal look into my life and I'm proud to be able to share my art and vision with you," Manson wrote of the song in an Instagram post.
The news of a partnership with Nuclear Blast came in May, just weeks after rumors suggested that Manson had already completed work on a new album.
Prior to the arrival of "As Sick As The Secrets Within", Marilyn hadn't released new music since his 2020 "We Are Chaos" LP.
Manson's 30-date arena/amphitheater tour with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is slated to kick off on August 2 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Over the past three years, Manson has been embroiled in a series of court battles and has been accused by several women — most notably "Westworld" star Evan Rachel Wood — of sexual, emotional and physical abuse.
Manson, who has denied all the allegations, has countersued a number of his alleged victims and judges have dismissed several of the abuse lawsuits against him.
The 55-year-old musician, whose real name is Brian Warner, has been off the road since the final August 18, 2019 date on the "Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies" joint tour with Rob Zombie.
In 2022, Marilyn confirmed he was dropped by his record label, Loma Vista Recordings, and talent agency CAA after he was accused of sexual assault.
Manson has consistently denied sexually assaulting or abusing anyone, claiming that his "intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners".
Manson's first release through Concord imprint Loma Vista was "The Pale Emperor" in 2015.
"We Are Chaos" debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart.

Watch: PAPA ROACH And DAUGHTRY Compete On 'Celebrity Family Feud'PAPA ROACH and DAUGHTRY competed against each other on last night's (Tuesday, July 30) episode of ABC's "Celebrity Family Feud" series.
The hit game show, which pits two celebrity-laden teams against one another and asks them to answer open-ended questions for points, featured all ten members of the two bands.
The episode, recorded in April, aired on ABC before becoming available to stream on Hulu.
The two bands competed against one another to raise money for charity.
Team PAPA ROACH ultimately won the game and $25,000 for their choice of charity, the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.
Also featured in the same episode were R&B icons EARTH, WIND & FIRE taking on THE WAR AND TREATY.
Hosted by Steve Harvey, the celebrity iteration of the popular game show "features celebrities, along with their immediate family members or their extended TV families, going head-to-head in a contest to name the most popular responses to survey-type questions posed to 100 people for a chance to win money for a charity of their choice," according to the series description.
"Celebrity Family Feud" is produced by Fremantle and is taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, California. Jennifer Mullin is an executive producer, along with Gaby Johnston, who also serves as showrunner.
DAUGHTRY frontman Chris Daughtry's stepdaughter Hannah Price died by suicide at age 25 in November 2021.
Price was under the influence of narcotics and had a history of mental health struggles. 2

Exclusive: PRIME EVIL Premieres “Evilution Decree X” VideoPrime Evil, the legendary purveyors of old-school extreme metal hailing from the dark alleys of New York, unleashed their latest offering, Evilution X, on April 26, 2024. This EP marks a triumphant return for the band, celebrating milestone anniversaries of their illustrious career with five blistering new recordings. BraveWords is premiering music video for track “Evilution Decree X” – watch below!
Formed in the late spring of 1984, Prime Evil has long been a staple of the New York underground metal scene, sharing stages with iconic acts such as Death, Morbid Angel, and Obituary. Their uncompromising approach to music, coupled with their raw intensity, has earned them a devoted following over the decades.
Evilution X pays homage to the band's rich history, featuring re-recordings of tracks from their seminal Evilution EP, alongside two new songs crafted specifically for this release. Vocalist Andy Eichhorn, guitarist Mike Usifer, and drummer Antonio Padilla (Teloch Vovin) have breathed new life into these classics, infusing them with a renewed sense of power and vigor.
Recording for Evilution X began in 2021, with plans for a 2022 release to coincide with the anniversaries of Prime Evil's pivotal moments. However, the project was temporarily derailed when guitarist Mike Usifer was diagnosed with cancer. After a period of treatment and recovery, Usifer rallied back, leading the band to complete the recordings in the summer of 2023.
Evilution X is a testament to Prime Evil's resilience and dedication to their craft. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Mike Usifer himself, the EP showcases the band's unwavering commitment to delivering uncompromising metal of the highest caliber.
Prime Evil is already hard at work on new material for their next full-length album, promising even more sonic onslaughts in the near future.

INSURRECTION Shares "Bless The Machine" Guitar Playthrough VideoInsurrection, the death metal powerhouse from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, proudly presents their new single “Bless The Machine”. Accompanying the release, the band has also unveiled an exclusive playthrough video, giving fans an inside look at the technical prowess behind their music. This track is part of their forthcoming album Obsolescence, which is set to drop on September 13, 2024, via the label Bam & Co. Heavy. The band comments on the track:
“This is the final part of The New Uprising trilogy. Musically, this song sounds like At The Gates playing Castlevania songs. Which you, the reader, will either completely understand, or be completely confused by. We’re fine with that. It’s fast, it’s melodic, and it’s just complicated enough so that every time you listen to it, you may find a tiny new thing.”
The band goes on to explain that the lyrics provide the conclusion to The New Uprising trilogy, with this song in specific being a “prayer to the machine” to eliminate the “filthy human breed.” The song was inspired by reflections on the death penalty, although the trilogy itself is about a Robotic Uprising, which is a metaphor for the rise of political extremism in the world.
Obsolescence artwork and tracklisting:
"Preprogrammed"
"The Gathering"
"Failures Of The Flesh"
"Le Secret Des Dieux"
"Némésis"
"Hostile Takeover"
"Obsession"
"Charogne"
"Initiate The End"
"Obsolete"
"Bless The Machine"
Catch Insurrection live at the following shows:
October
11 - Sainte-Thérèse, QC - Le Montecristo
12 - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC - La Boite (Festival Communion)
Since their formation in 2003, Insurrection has captivated audiences with their high-energy performances and their unique blend of groovy death metal and thrash. They are recommended for those who enjoy Testament, Nevermore, and Bloodbath.

BRYAN ADAMS Announces Double A-Side Single Featuring Songs Written For KISS' Creatures Of The Night Album; "Rock And Roll Hell" Music Video StreamingBryan Adams is releasing a special double A-side single featuring two songs - "War Machine" and "Rock And Roll Hell" - through his new independent label, Bad Records. These songs were originally written by Adams, Jim Vallance, and Gene Simmons for KISS’ 1982 album, Creatures Of The Night.
Available for pre-order now as a limited edition double A-side 7” single, available exclusively via Bryan’s webstore (releasing August 30, 2024).
“Rock And Roll Hell” is available digitally now, and is accompanied by a video filmed on the rooftop of London’s Royal Albert Hall during Bryan’s recent residency there. “War Machine” will be released on all digital platforms on August 30.
Stream ‘Rock And Roll Hell’ here, and watch the music video below.
Bryan comments: “To commemorate the first single on Bad Records, here are two songs I co-wrote when I was a 22 year old struggling songwriter.
"I got a call out of the blue from producer Michael James Jackson to see if I would like to write for KISS, which I was thrilled to do, and these are a couple of the songs that were the result, written with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance.
"While sitting with the band, Gene played me this fantastic bass riff, which ended up being the backbone of ‘War Machine’. I was trying to think of a theme that could possibly match the riff and came up with the title. Seeing as the other song we’d written was about hell, War was the obvious theme to coincide with it.
"‘Rock And Roll Hell’ was actually Jim’s song that had been released a few years earlier with Bachman Turner Overdrive, and I suggested, that we re-write it for KISS. It’s incredible to think these themes are unfortunately still playing out for real in the world today, but I’m very grateful to the KISS guys for giving me the chance back then.” 2

“Hey, but someone has to try oddball things, don’t they? Might as well be me...” - Ian Anderson
Ian Anderson’s mind as a listener, which would mature into a lifetime of format-blurring creative ingenuity, was opened when he was a mere six-year-old. By then, already relocated with his family from his birthplace in Dunfermline to Edinburgh, he heard an old family 78 rpm disc of Glenn Miller and his Orchestra's irresistible gem of 1939, In The Mood.
“My father had a few treasured wartime records, mostly big-band stuff,” he told Prog magazine. “I remember having an epiphany, because ‘In The Mood’ introduces you to the elements of blues, effectively. That was my first moment of thinking: ‘Hmm, this music is something special.’”
A word from Ian Anderson on 8314 Boxed:
“Since 1983, I have made a few solo albums, not as dissatisfaction with fellow musicians or the group identity but usually just to try something a bit different, whether sonically, stylistically or in terms of instrumental line-up. These records all stand out for me as being quite different from each other and in some ways demonstrate a broader depth of my songwriting. The flute instrumental Divinities record is one of my favourites to this day.”

THE OFFSPRING Releases New Single 'Light It Up' From Upcoming 'Supercharged' AlbumTHE OFFSPRING has shared a new single, "Light It Up". The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Supercharged", which will arrive on October 11 via Concord.
"This song is a full-speed-ahead juggernaut," says singer Bryan "Dexter" Holland. "This character in the song is fed up, he's had enough, and he's gonna light it up. He's ready for a fight. And I definitely sense a lot of that around me."
He continues: "Growing up, some of my favorite songs were by punk bands that were just like, 'I'm sick of your shit.' And that was okay. It wasn't like a negative thing to have those feelings and express that. And I think that's kind of the vibe of where 'Light It Up' is: You're fed up, you've had it and you want to do something about it. That's one of things I've always loved about punk rock. It's always been about letting out your aggressions, and I think that's still true. I still love writing songs like that."
In a recent interview with Matt Bingham of the Z93 radio station, THE OFFSPRING guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman spoke about "Supercharged", which will be released just three years after its predecessor, 2021's "Let The Bad Times Roll", which came out nearly a decade following 2012's "Days Go By". Asked if there was "a sense of urgency this time around" with "Supercharged" to get it done and get it out more quickly than the last time around, Noodles said: "Yeah, a little bit. We wanted to prove that we're still relevant in terms of making new music. I know that our live show has never been better. We go out and we connect with an audience right away. It doesn't matter if it's a headlining show or a festival, we've got fans there and we can get the crowd going. So you're always hoping that your new music will be appreciated. There's the live show and then there's the creating new music. Those are the two sides of the coin of being in a band. One is immediate gratification, playing live, and then the other one is kind of obsessive compulsive. You don't know if this is gonna work. Then eventually you come up with stuff you think you really like, you think is really good, and you get excited about it. Then you're waiting until the fans hear it. You don't know. You start second guessing. 'What if they hate it?' But so far the reaction to the stuff has been great. I know some journalists have heard the whole record all the way through, and and the feedback I've got has been very positive from the journalists that have heard it."
Asked what he and his bandmates do to keep it fresh and fun every time that they sit down to write and record, Noodles said: "From the songwriting perspective, Dexter likes the challenge. He just wants to see what he can do. He keeps wanting to beat himself. He's a cross-country runner. He's been running Half Ironmans lately, and he just always wants to beat his last time. And this time he wants to beat his last numbers. He wants to have more radio hits, he wants to have more streams. For me, it's just fun to play guitar on stuff and listen to new stuff and try to be creative. I'm not as driven in terms of wanting to succeed. I'm not competitive, I guess — I'm not competitive with my old self or my new self. I just love playing guitar and singing."
Regarding the decision to release "Make It All Right" as the first single from "Supercharged", Noodles said: "Yeah, there was three [songs] that seemed like obvious choices, and we didn't have a particular favorite in mind, I guess, of those three. There's three songs that are pretty pop-punk stuff, so those seem like the obvious choices for singles. I think we also wanna release a single that's just heavy, one of the heavier ones off there, just to let the fans know we still have that stuff as well, we're still a punk band at heart, we're still these little 15-year-old kids that fell in love with punk rock. But there's three songs, and I think we kind of went back and forth with the label, with management. As far as the marketing and what goes to radio and stuff like that, those in that world know which way to go with that."
Last month, Noodles told Finland's Chaoszine about the recording process for "Supercharged": "Yeah, it was good. We worked with Bob again, Bob Rock, our producer. We've been working with him for, like 15, 16 years now. And we just get together every so often for, like, a couple of weeks, two, three weeks. He comes to Huntington [Beach, California] or we go up to Vancouver. There's a studio called The Warehouse that he likes to work at up there. We have our own studio in Huntington. And we just hang out. We talk about music and then we turn on record and try different things and see what happens.
When the interviewer noted that it seems like there is a "relaxed" vibe in the studio, Noodles clarified: "We work hard on what we're doing, especially Dexter. He focuses a lot on just minute details. I don't know how he holds all those details in his head. I'm, like, 'Man, I love it. Great beat. Great groove. Let's go.' He's, like, 'Well, there's one drum hit that's that needs to be fixed here.' Like, 'Whoa, dude. Okay.'"
Asked if they ever end up in arguments because of differences of opinion, Noodles said: "There's times when we all disagree, and Dexter will disagree with Bob, Bob will disagree with me and him, but it's always… It's never… I wouldn't even say argument. There's disagreements, but we just discuss it and we try different things. If Bob makes a suggestion, we'll try it and see where it works. And sometimes you have to sit on that. Like we'll try something new, then we go home and listen to it and go, 'Ah, you know what? I did like it better before,' or go, 'You know what, Bob? You were right. That one part needed to be fixed.' And that's how we work. And it's always good-natured."
Asked if he and his bandmates ever discuss the musical direction they want to take when working on new music, Noodles said: "Each song is is viewed separately. And then once you have a bunch of songs, then you kind of see where the record is going And then you just try to build on that. I don't think we've ever changed that much. We've never done a concept record. We never went, 'All right, we're done with this punk rock pop stuff. We wanna be metal now.' There is at least one song on this record that I would call metal. It's just thrash metal. It's called 'Come To Brazil'… It's one of the most metal. I don't know [about] heaviest. We've got a lot of heavy punk rock songs as well, but this one's probably one of the heaviest metal ones for sure. There's another one too called 'Get Some', which is pretty riff rock, almost metal."
At this past June's Download festival in the United Kingdom, Holland told James Wilson-Taylor of Rock Sound magazine about the shorter gap between "Let The Bad Times Roll" and "Supercharged": "The last one took a really long time, and I'm not sure exactly what it was, but I think it had a lot to do with that I went back to school and I didn't realize how much time that was taking. [Editor's note: Dexter resumed his studies and earned a PhD in molecular biology in May 2017.] And before you know it, it's been years and years since you put out a record. And so this time we were, like, 'We're determined to get something out more quickly this time.' So it was, for us, very quick — it was, like, three years… In rock years, like dog years, that's like three months."
Asked if "Make It All Right" was the obvious choice for a first single from the album, Dexter said: "No, I thought it was gonna be another [track], actually. And we just kind of — you know, you start playing it for people around you, your, your friends and family or whatever, and then eventually the people at the label that are gonna promote it, and 'Make It All Right' was the one that kind of kept on coming back as, like, 'We think this is the one.' And I think people like it because it's very immediate — it's not hard to figure out what's going on in this song. And I think that's kind of cool. I like the idea of putting out what I would call almost a summer song. It's just kind of a feel-good song. It doesn't always have to be dark and gloomy or something that's really deep that you have to figure out. Sometimes you just wanna kind of — the joy of life, I guess, is kind of the vibe going on."
When "Supercharged" was first announced, Dexter said in a statement: "We wanted this record to have pure energy — from the start to the finish! That’s why we called it 'Supercharged'. From the height of our aspirations to the depths of our struggles, we talk about it all on this record…in a way that celebrates the life that we share and where we are now. Our single 'Make It All Right' is a great example of this because it talks about the people in our lives who make us feel strong when we are feeling low — our partners in crime who make us feel all right."
He continued: "The album was recorded in three different locations this time: Maui, Vancouver, and our home studio in Huntington Beach, and together with our producer Bob Rock everything came out awesome. I feel like this is the best we have ever sounded! We've been rocking out and headbanging to it for months! And we can't wait for you guys to hear it!"
Dexter previously told the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast about the musical direction of the band's eleventh studio album: "I think it's a David Bowie quote, who said, 'You've gotta make it the same, but different.' It's funny, 'cause it's true. 'Cause if you sound too much like your other record, they go, 'Oh, it just sounds like this record.' And if you change too much, it throws people. And, of course, you've gotta ultimately satisfy your own creativity, what you wanna do. And luckily, I think that we've really expanded the circle of what we can do. We did 'Gone Away' on 'Ixnay [On The Hombre]' and we've done piano stuff and all that, but I think you have to balance that desire to grow with — you don't wanna necessarily be too grown up, if that makes sense. You don't wanna all of a sudden go, 'I'm gonna make a record like U2.' That doesn't necessarily work the best for who you are as a band. We're trying to keep that all in mind."
He continued: "When people ask me, 'What does your new record sound like?', I'll just say 'Ignition', 'cause people go, 'Oh, cool. I love that record.' So, it's not like that. It's a mixture. I think punk is the core of what we've always been, so there's always some of that on a record. And then we usually throw in a couple of oddball songs, but it's always about trying to make the song as good as it can be."
"Let The Bad Times Roll" was a huge global success, hitting career-high chart debuts with seven Top 5 and ten Top 10 international debuts and nine Top 10 debuts in the U.S. The album peaked at No. 3 on the U.K. chart and hit No. 1 on the Alternative Albums chart in the U.S.
THE OFFSPRING first achieved worldwide success in the 1990s with the release of their album "Smash", which sold over 11 million copies. Following "Smash", they continued to release hit after hit, popularizing rock at a mainstream level.
Throughout THE OFFSPRING's career, they've sold over a staggering 40 million albums, and toured arenas, and built a global fan base. "Let The Bad Times Roll" marked the band's tenth studio album and third album produced by Rock.
Originally formed under the name MANIC SUBSIDAL, THE OFFSPRING's lineup consists of Holland, Wasserman, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy and drummer Brandon Pertzborn.

To celebrate, FINGER ELEVEN have released a brand-new single "Adrenaline", available today (August 2) digitally.

The music video for "Adrenaline" will be released later this month on August 23.
"Sonically, I think 'Adrenaline' showcases a different side of the band," says lead vocalist Scott Anderson. "There's an exciting pulse in the music and I wanted the lyrics to keep up with that same energetic level. The song makes me want to go out and try something wild, or at the very least: turn it up real loud."
FINGER ELEVEN is currently on tour across North America as direct support to rock icons CREED on their "Summer Of '99" tour which features additional interchanging support from THREE DOORS DOWN, DAUGHTRY, SWITCHFOOT, TONIC and BIG WRECK. FINGER ELEVEN is the alternative rock band originally from Burlington, Ontario and now based mostly out of Toronto. They are one of the best-selling Canadian bands of all time, have released a series of consecutive hit albums and become among the greatest live bands to ever emerge from the great White North. "The Greyest of Blue Skies", their debut, broke FINGER ELEVEN into the international mainstream, achieving gold status in the United States and platinum in Canada, and smashing the first single "One Thing", across the radio and Billboard charts. Their 2007 album, "Them vs. You vs. Me", launched the single "Paralyzer", setting radio records in the U.S., peaking at No. 1 internationally and going five times platinum, the band's second million-plus seller. They won the Juno Award for "Best Rock Album Of The year" the following year and set an incredible run at rock radio, with an unbeaten 14 weeks at the top spot. "Life Turns Electric", was nominated for a Juno Award for "Best Rock Album Of The Year". "Five Crooked Lines" continued to electrify audiences the world over and their 2023 "Greatest Hits" includes their biggest smash hit in a decade, "Together Right", which topped the radio charts for an amazing five-week run.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Release Official "Top Of The World" Lyric VideoFive Finger Death Punch have released an official lyric video for "Top Of The World", taken from their 2018 album, And Justice For None. Check it out below.
"Top Of The World" is available via digital platforms found here.
"This Is The Way" (feat. DMX), the latest single from multi-platinum, chart-topping hard rock powerhouse, Five Finger Death Punch, recently hit the #1 spot at Billboard’s Mainstream Rock radio chart, notably landing the Las Vegas-based band their 11th straight #1 hit on the chart. This extends the band’s 2023 record of holding the longest streak of #1’s in the chart’s history.
"This Is The Way" is the first #1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart for legendary late rapper DMX and his very first appearance on the chart altogether. The single also claimed the #1 spot at Active Rock Radio this week giving Five Finger Death Punch its 16th overall #1 single at the format.
The band has shared a new video along with the following message:
"Take a look behind the scenes at the origins, inspiration and the collaboration that became 'This Is The Way Feat. DMX', which has now become our 11th consecutive no 1. song and 15th in total‼️ - the longest of any artist in the 43 year history of the Billboard chart!
We have always viewed DMX as 'the metalhead of hip-hop' because of his aggressive, raw, and untamed style. This is more than just a song; it's a salute to a legend, a way to honor DMX's memory.
The official music video was directed by none other than highly influential filmmaker Hype Williams, a longtime friend and close collaborator of the late DMX." 1

CREED kicked off its first tour in 12 years, "Summer Of '99", on July 17 at Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
With more than 53 million albums sold worldwide, CREED remains one of modern rock's most successful acts. Now, 30 years into their incredible journey, CREED is bigger than ever. In late 2023, the Texas Rangers made "Higher" their unofficial anthem, as it spurred them to their first World Series win. Earlier this year, the song appeared in a high-profile Paramount+ Super Bowl commercial, while a NASCAR Daytona 500 campaign also incorporated the hit single. Along the way, CREED has gained a new generation of fans, thanks to countless TikTok videos that feature their songs.
Last summer, after an 11-year hiatus, CREED announced their long-awaited reunion — returning to the stage for the first time in April 2024 at the sold-out Summer Of '99 cruise and Summer Of '99 And Beyond cruise. In May, meanwhile, the band's multiplatinum-selling "Greatest Hits" collection made its wide debut on vinyl (via Craft),this month landing the collection back into the Billboard Top 200 (currently No. 166, in a list of the most consumed albums in the U.S.),as well as hitting Top Hard Rock & Alternative Albums (No.48),Top Alternative Albums (No. 21),and moving up the Top Hard Rock Albums rankings (No. 11). Originally issued in 2004, the 14-track compilation spans the band's first three albums (1997's "My Own Prison", 1999's "Human Clay" and 2001's "Weathered"). In the months ahead, fans can catch the band on their "Summer Of '99" tour, running from July through September, where they'll be joined by the likes of 3 DOORS DOWN, FINGER ELEVEN, SWITCHFOOT, FUEL, BIG WRECK and DAUGHTRY. The band will be heading into arenas this November and December on the "Are You Ready?" tour with 3 DOORS DOWN and MAMMOTH WVH in the U.S. and MAMMOTH WVH and FINGER ELEVEN in Canada.
In a recent interview with Ryan McCredden of the I-Rock 93.5 radio station, singer Scott Stapp spoke about the fact that younger generations of fans have discovered CREED's music in the 12 years since he and his bandmates played their last concert. He said: "Yeah, a hundred percent. And the analytics don't lie. We've started seeing, in late 2020, CREED beginning to go viral on TikTok, Instagram and then Facebook. And then it just seemed like every two or three months… The first couple months in 2021, we went viral again, and it just kept happening every two or three months. And then you look at the analytics, and you realize that when you look at the numbers, it's three generations. And now it's gotten down into high school kids. And so, what a gift and what a blessing. And I do not take that for granted. I understand how rare that that is. And I think I can speak for all of CREED, because we've had these conversations in private, that it's something we definitely understand is a gift, it's rare and we're not taking it for granted and we're just so grateful and appreciative that this has happened. And I think we're in the nurture phase of this whole thing and not taking a single bit of it for granted and just want to just share how grateful we are and fortunate we are that all these years later [so many people are discovering our music."
Stapp went on to discuss the overwhelmingly positive response to the announcement of CREED's first shows together in 12 years.
"I learned this from Mark [Tremonti, guitar] the other day in a Guitar World interview that we did together," Scott said. "One thing about Mark, and I hope he doesn't get mad at me for sharing, but he's always in touch with our long-term agent from day one, Ken Fermaglich at UTA. He started with us when we were doing clubs and nobody was showing up, and he's still our agent today. And Mark checks in with him to get analytics and get numbers. And Ken shared with him that right now we are bigger in terms of sales and how things are moving than we were at our peak in 2001, 2002, which blows my mind. It still doesn't seem that way to me, but Mark made a comment. He goes, 'Oh, well, you'll see it when you step out and there's 25,000 people in front of you.' And I said, 'Don't scare me, man.' It's been a long time since I've stepped in front of an audience that big."
When McCredden suggested that "the social media world of TikTok and Instagram" played a huge part in generating interest in a CREED reunion tour, Stapp said: "I've learned in my journey in sobriety and in recovery that… I believe in God and I believe that God has a plan. And looking at this from a thousand-foot perspective, it just all just seems, to me, without a doubt that God's had a hand in it. And I'm just grateful that I'm included on the ride and I'm just not gonna take a moment for granted and [I'm gonna] try to deliver every night and give the fans what they're asking for."

MARILYN MANSON Releases New Single 'As Sick As The Secrets Within'Marilyn Manson has released a new single, "As Sick As The Secrets Within". The track marks the shock-rocker's first release via his new deal with Nuclear Blast Records.
